today's outfit
The gifts section of the department store was teaming with cute toys and schoolgirls, like any other normal afternoon. Only today there was a noticeable change in products and color scheme. The sweet smell of treats was in the air, and the florescent lighting was cranked up to 11. Of course! It was the day before Valentines day, and all the girls had come to buy--

"--honmei-chocolate mix??" A confused looking clerk peered up from a mound of lovely handcrafted boxes that were littered about the counter. Not only was it really expensive to buy this many "special-lovers" chocolate, but to make SO MUCH for one man... was just not normal...

"One man? What are you talking about? Men don't even like eating chocolate. Well not as much as we do, eheh!" Fuu replied confidently, adjusting the frangipani in her hair behind her ear. "I'm going to give these to all my girls, ya-huhn~"

~*~

An embarrassed Fuu was persuaded back to the shelves to instead look for something called "obligation" and "friendship" chocolates. Both of which were more appropriate to her cause. But it was getting late, and the selection was growing thin. Now was not the time to be fussy!
"Okay. The next one for sure." The next aisle she turned into just had to have chocolates SO GOOD that she could only dream of giving them to her friends....

Her eyes widened.

Items red taped, prices slashed and bargain bins all lined up in a row. The aisle she had walked into... was the cheapskates lane.

Valentines day. The one time of the year Crow hated more then anything else. Not that he hated love, but with the death of Hitomi, there wasn't much reason to celebrate it, but with her being alive again, so to speak, it made him think about the holiday more. His eyes glanced around at all the women. He smiled slightly. So everyone was getting into the spirit?

" Guess I should get her something?......" He asked himself as he thought back to Fuu. They had all survived the WDA mission, and things seemed to be normal for the moment, well as normal as living with Fuu could be, I mean the things this girl keeps around would make a sex addict blush.

He had slowly made his way into the chocolate isle, his eyes glancing at all the expensive items. What would a girl like Fuu possibly want? She wasn't your typical girl, and she certainly wasn't normal, although that's what Crow liked about her, she made his life a lot more interesting since she moved in. But despite all that Crow had yet to get over the kiss they shared at the WDA offices. It wasn't the most passion filled thing in the world, not to mention he received quite the blow for that, but to him it was still special.

While being surrounded by cute girls in Japanese school uniforms may have been more than a treat for Crow, he might have also noticed that there was virtually no testosterone in the chocolates section... It WAS a girl's holiday after all. Some of the ladies looked up from the beautifully boxed sweets they were eying, and raised their brows when they heard the cool out-of-towner standing beside them.

"S'about time" She whispered to her friend.
"Yeah~ I'd be happy to receive chocolates for a change."

~*~

Fuu was just about halfway through the aisle carrying loads of cheap chocolates piled in her basket. She'd considered turning back, but there was just so much stuff left in this part, and barely even a crowd. And there was no body she recognized yet, so it wasn't all that embarrassing. There was a bunch of chocolate hearts wrapped in pink cellophane that caught her eye. But she realized, all this cheap stuff... "I better taste one before I buy it for someone else..."

You know... just to make sure.

Luckily she had already learned about the consequences of shoplifting from the last time she opened an expensive lipstick to "try." So she put her heavy basket down on the ground and carried the single heart shaped chocolate in her hands towards the counter again.

Crow blinked as he felt the strange stares he was getting from the girls. Was this really so strange to see a guy shopping for a girl he liked? Well it must have been due to the amount of girls whispering as he passed. This was going to be a strange day.

" Hmm ok let's get out of here quick....before they maul me..." He thought as he moved through the isle, looking at the price of the chocolate, he wanted to get Fuu something nice, and expensive, something that could talk her out of her line of work, but Crow knew that was easier said then done, it would take a lot more then food to help change Fuu's simple mind. But it was then Crow spotted the girl who was currently on his mind.

He ducked behind a shelf of candy as he peeked around eyeing the girl. What was she doing? Was she shopping for someone? Did she have a boyfriend? These questions ran through the pyromancers head as he watched the girl to see what she was doing.

"Just this one?" Asked the lady at the counter in a disappointed tone. Maybe she was starting to regret turning away the girl who wanted to spend heaps of money on those hon'mei chocolates.
Fuu slipped a small bank note from out of her bra and handed it over to her. "It's okay, I'm just trying this one, eheh~"

After purchasing the item, she began unwrapping it while walking off in the direction of the shelves Crow was standing behind. She bit a small piece off the chocolate heart with a sharp snapping sound, brushing past other girls as they walked by her. Fuu was unsuspectingly drawing nearer to where Crow had been spying on her. Before he knew it, she would have stepped around the corner to where he was standing.

But she didn't see him.

"Eh~? This is pretty delicious, ya~!" She spoke, looking down at the pink wrapper. Turning on her heels, she began making her way back to the cheap chocolates. "...Good enough to give to.." She murmured as she walked.

It was a close call for Crow, where ever he was hiding now. If Fuu spotted him here shopping for chocolates, there was no doubt that she wouldn't have given him the time of day.

Crow blinked as she began to make her way towards him. He yelled inwardly as he began to run back and forth in place as he tried to find somewhere to hide, not that it was needed. Fuu turned the corner walking right past him. Did she really not see him? Was she mad at him for something? Crow's aura became cold, and filled with sadness. But before he could feel too bad something hit him. IT WAS FUU!!! She was always like this.

" Hmmm what name did she say?....some guy trying to take my Fuu away! Not a chance in hell!" He stated out loud to himself as he began to draw attention. His eyes widened as the girls around him began to stare again. He darted off before Fuu could turn around and see him.

" Ok I gotta find out who she is shopping for. WDA MISSION 10: The Case Of Fuu's Valentines!" Crow said out loud, but suddenly he felt Jameson yelling in his head. Something about copyrights or something. The pyromancer shook it off as he peeked around the corner peeping at Fuu. If the girl was smart she would realize that Crow's hour glass was going crazy with him being so close, but its not like she could feel it within her pocket boobie dimension? Could she?

"Eh?" Fuu stepped back a little, peering down at her neckline. Could this be? Did she notice the magical item reacting? ... A second later, she placed a hand on her stomach as it groaned. "Hooo... Hungry." She said before shrugging it off and picking up her chocolate filled basket off the ground. By now, it had a whole pile of the flat chocolate hearts she had tried earlier, but said nothing out loud to reveal who they were for.

Walking down the length of the aisle the country lass suddenly stopped, crouching down and squatting as her hand shot into her breast pocket boobie dimension. She pulled out her phone with the frog charm swinging around below it as she flipped the cover and read the message.

While all this was happening, Crow would also receive a message to his cell phone.
『TO THE OWNER OF THIS NUMBER:
are you having doubts about your relationship?
will your romantic paths end in wedding bells or tears?
Find out! text the name of your partner and your name to this number
and we'll predict your future~~~~
Happy Valentines~ 』

Surely enough, Fuu was still squatting there beside her basket with her texting thumbs. She was biting her bottom lip, and looking a little bit eager. But there was no way Crow would be able to see what she was typing there on that screen. Not by any normal conventions anyway.

Crow watched her closely as she made her way through the store. His eyes glued to her, why did he care who Fuu was shopping for, he knew it wasn't him, no matter how much he cared for the girl, the simple Fuu did not return his feelings, that much was evident when the girl wacked him with his own hour glass.

" Damn it Fuu....who are you shopping for? Is there another guy?" He spoke to himself quietly as he watched her. He turned around to see a group of girls watching him closely, stalking a girl in a store the day before valentines was not the best look for the male. His face formed a nervous smile as he looked at the girls before moving to get away from them, but also to get a better look at Fuu.

He climbed on top of one of the shelves as he looked down on Fuu, but suddenly his phone began to ring. He sighed as he reached into his pocket pulling the phone out looking at the text. His eyes scanned the words as he let out a huff almost flipping the phone closed without giving the text a second thought, but suddenly he gave it another look, his eyes softening as he began to reply with the names of Him, and Fuu. He knew what he was doing was stupid, seeing as he didn't believe in things like that, but it was worth a shot.

" Hmmm why am I doing this? This is so stupid.....Fuu has no idea that I like her, she thinks I'm a sugar daddy....." He said to himself as he sent the text, but stared intently at the phone, waiting on the reply.

Although he was only in the next aisle over, it was difficult to hear Crow thinking out loud with all the sudden chatter that was picking up around the store.
"I don't trust these things. I know its all randomized." A tall student from Hyakuji said to her friend, who was wearing a different school uniform, while clipping her phone shut.

Still squatting beside her basket....
"It's not possible anyway..." Fuu sighed, a light airy sigh that only a girl could make when she is thinking about matters of the heart. "... But I'm curious to find out, eheh~" She tilted her cheek into her hand, finally giving Crow a clear view of her phone screen which said:

『you message has been sent~~』

Meanwhile, Crow would feel a tug on his pants as an exhausted looking store clerk tried to grab his attention. "UH Sir-- Patrons should ask for assistance if they need to reach an item on the top shelf." Which comprised mostly of large dolls of cute Japanese mascots. "And also, the Sugar-Daddies are in the confectionery section, which is just over to your --"

"--EHH??" Cried a schoolgirl who was standing beside them. She was staring at her phone with a horrified expression, and a few others around were starting to make their reactions. Not a moment later, Crow too would feel his phone buzzing in his hand. Dare he look at what the psychic on the other end had to say?

Crow sighed as he had sent the text, but no sooner that he began to focus back on Fuu, did someone come pulling at his pants. The young pyromancer tilted his head as he turned around to look at the clerk.

" Huh? Oh no I was just ummmm looking for something and I don't think its here so ill just get down now." He stated, as he began to climb down, but no sooner before he started did his phone start to buzz again. He sighed as he reached for it, flipping it open to read the text.

" What?!?!" He yelled out as he griped the phone tightly, just then a girl beside them let out a terrified scream, causing Crow to fall back, bringing the whole shelf with him. " Crap!!!" He yelled out, before he was buried under stuffed animals, and chocolate.

A loud groan could he heard under all the items as an angry Crow began to heat up.

" So this bastard wants chocolate huh? Fine ill feed it to you down your f*cking throat!!!!!" He yelled as a pillar of flames burst from the pile, freeing him from his lovable prison. His eyes glanced towards the clerk as he looked at what he had destroyed.

" Bill Hiroshima industries for the damage....sorry about all this, but I need some chocolate....the expensive stuff...." He spoke in an angry tone, his eyes giving off a red glow of anger as he spoke.

"Now hang on a minute! You can't just burn down our merchandise and-- wait-- buying it all did you say?" The clerk looked up brightly at the strange customer, only he was now holding a fire extinguisher. Had they angered a fire demon in some way??? "Maybe now the manager'll think about purchasing fire-insurance." In a anything-goes place like Hyakuji, you'd be a bloody idiot to put it off any longer... That alone would have worked as the insurance company's slogan.

Most of the girls had screamed and fled the area, leaving Crow and the assistant standing there watching each other in a burning heap of charred objects and over-cooked chocolate.
"I need to talk to my supervisor..." He sprayed the last tiny bit of flame before shuffling away from the mess.

The shelf had fallen away from where Fuu had been sitting, but by the time Crow sorted himself out with the stores shopping policies, he would look back only to find that although her shopping basket was still there in plain sight and within Crow's reach, the village girl was not!

~*~

How come Fuu did not notice the commotion going on behind her? Because she got up and ran as soon as she got her reply from the "love-forecaster."

"It's not a big deal, eheh!" Fuu muttered to herself while sprinting back to where she first picked up the honmei-chocolate kits. Just hurry home and make the creepy guy some sweets.. Then no body has to find out anything... right?? right??? "Eheheheeheheheh ... ohh.." Fuu sighed, upon reaching the selection, there was absolutely none left.

"My basket!" She exclaimed with wide eyes, making off back in the direction she came. "Some late-shopper better not have taken it, ya..."

Crow groaned as he thought about the bill he had just racked up. A sweat drop forming on his forehead, it would seem as if his anger had gotten the better of him.

" Lin, and Maria are going to kill me......oh boy how do I explain this one..." He said silently as he peered around the store trying to find Fuu, it was about this time he saw the girl making her way back to her basket.

Crow yelled as he began to panic again. He turned from left to right trying to find somewhere to hide, but then it dawned on him. The best place to hide when dealing with Fuu is right in front of her. He smirked as he turned around looking at the shelf behind him, acting as if he was just an everyday shopper.

" Well as simple as she is....she won't know its me...." Crow thought to himself as he peeked at her from the corner of his eye. Oh how easily fooled Fuu was.

Fuu scooped up her basket and opened the handles. She just stood there with her neck craned down towards the empty basket with a look of sorrow... All of nearly twenty chocolate hearts wrapped in pink cellophane which Fuu had picked out for her friends, had disappeared. First it was the lonely valentines prankster, and now this?? She scrunched her lip, before hanging her head down and stifling a small sob.

"ahu..... I.... I can see you, ya know?"

She spoke softly, slowly, sadly, under the twinkly store-music. "...and I know you've been following me." Fuu turned around, facing away from the man looking at a shelf of photo albums and wallets. "But there's no more chocolates left here either, so..so.. so.. shoo!"

The person she had actually been speaking to, was a schoolgirl with long skinny legs and a tiny waist. She was standing with her hand resting up against the end of the shelf, but had now stepped out into plain view.
"Oh.. That's too bad then." The Chinese girl smiled a grin which crinkled her nose. But with blink-and-you'll-miss-it speed, her eyes slid over to Crow who was sticking out like and elephant in a room. However it just so happened, Fuu DID blink and missed it completely.
"Good luck for White Day then, ja ne~" She'd said. She seemed amused that Fuu had yet to notice him but just as quickly as she appeared, the mysterious girl stepped backwards, before striding away.

"Huff. Stupid skirt pinching... Choco stealing... Why's she so mean to meee?" Dropping the basket carelessly, she reached into the heart-shaped pocket of her knitted sweater-dress and pulled out the first one she bought -- with the single small bite in it.

"Can I still give it to Boss...?" She pondered trying to re-wrap it and spruce it up. "It looks like he takes this holiday seriously, ya~" Fuu murmured, revealing who the chocolate was initially intended for and making her way towards the exit. She figured she better not be late back to Crow's dorm, or she'd probably get locked out. Or worse he'd lose it at her and pop a vein again.

Crow jumped slightly as she began to speak. So she saw him, but how? His plan to hide in plain sight should have worked. He sighed turning around to face the girl with a sad look on his face.

" Huh? Ok Fuu yes I was following you, but only because...." He was cut off as he saw she was not talking to him. His eyes hot to the girl Fuu was speaking to, the girl smirked at Crow as if she knew who he was. Crow blinked as he stared at the girl, his eyes scanning her body. He had no idea who she was, but she seemed to know him.

" Hmmm ok then who was she?" Crow thought as he brought his hand up rubbing his chin. He then glanced at Fuu as she spoke on buying the chocolate for Jameson. So that's who she was buying it for? That was a relief for the young love struck pyromancer. A sigh escaped his lips as he watched her leave.

" Huh? Where is she going now?...." He said as he watched her leave, and began to follow behind her. Why did he care who she was seeing Fuu wasn't his girl, but for reasons he didn't understand here he was, following her around like a crazed stalker, sooo not the look he was going for.

Only those who had spoken to Fuu or knew the extent of her airheadedness would believe that Crow was able to stalk her to the front of the Yuki building without any hassles. Even though he was a sloppy follower, made little effort to be inconspicuous. I mean, they even caught the same bus for crying out loud!

The girl needed to work on her awareness.

At the front door of the Yuki building, she buzzed at the intercom and waited for a response from Crow. She didn't have a key card to get in by herself, and contemplated going back home to room 420.

"What's taking so long, ya."
