Lucidus panted he had been exercising a large amount recently, mostly in between his sessions of exploring the town that he had been dropped in. Fenrus had suggested to him to go train in the forest where he would had a smaller chance of accidentally hitting someone that happened to come across the session.

Lucidus was facing a tree he was surronded by trees they were good for target practice. The glade was silent apart from the wind rustiling the leaves of the trees. Lucidus formed his bow and an arrow and strung the arrow aiming carefully, concentraiting he tried to pour more energy into the arrow.

The arrow started to grow bigger until suddenly BANG the arrow suddenly exploded sending Lucidus flying back right into a tree. When Lucidus collided with the tree pain suddenly shot up through his back. Lucidus shouted in pain, it looked like he mightn't be training that much more for a while.

"Ah~ So this is Hyakuji forest. Nickle said he often used to come here. Come to think of it a lot of the kids come here. I'm surprised such a big place is standing considering what Hyakuji is like~"

Cerium had heard a lot about the forest and overheard many students saying that they were going to go there to train. Nickle had said that even he and Chizu trained their when they were in High School. Obviously back then not together, right now they had a brand new castle to do all the training they wanted. Still, Cerium was new to the area and wasn't exactly familiar with Hyakuji yet.

She figured she might as well check out one of the more popular places. He black Reebok trainers crunched the undergrowth and twigs as she walked, he blue-jean clad hips swaying and gently bouncing her katana on and off her hip. Everything seemed peaceful enough at least. Then all of a sudden, she heard and explosion, a big one too. A large tree was then seen splintering not too far from Cerium's left side and was sent flying towards her.

Whatever had caused the explosion had sent a large rush of wind towards Cerium, causing her red and black plaid shirt to start blowing in tandem with her ponytail. In one elegant motion, she drew her katana and slashed outward, making the metal sharper than it naturally was. She slashed again, several times, each time sending out a thin strand of razor sharp metal out towards the tree to slice it up nice and fine.

As the blocks of splinted wood came falling towards her, she recalled the metal of her blade, forming it into a large round sheild to protect herself. It sounded like a gong being struck repeatidly due to all the falling pieces of wood. However before she knew it, it was all over. Breathing a sigh of relief, Cerium sheathed her katana and walked towards the direction the tree had fallen from.

She spotted Lucisdus there recovering amongst the root of a tree. "That was an awfully big show you put on."

As Lucidus sat at the bottom of the tree now quite sore, he heard several gong like noises and tried to get up (without much sucess). It was then that a stranger walked up to him and commented on his 'show'. Lucidus laughed before quickly stopping because it was painful to laugh.

"I wasn't quite meaning to cause an explosion, I was trying to train and well." Lucidus stopped for a moment trying to find the right way of saying it before quickly giving up. "My powers seemed to disagree with training." What he just said was actually contradictory, it was Fenrus's idea that he came out training, but Lucidus would be willing to let that go for now.

Lucidus tried getting up again using the tree behind him as a support and sucessfully managed to stand up in front of the tree. It seemed only by using the tree he could manage standing up. He turned to the stranger who was still there. "Oh my name is Lucidus."

Cerium smiled sweetly, looking at the boy. It was always such an awkward age, being a teenager. It didn't help much that they had powers as well, it could only add to the ambiguity that was high school life. Cerium had never gone to a school at Hyakuji, but she could imagine what it would have been like if she had. The taunting of those who were unable to grasp their powers or who had more feeble powers than someone else.
It could be as bad as a locker room~

"It's alright sweetie~ You're still learning~" Her voice was like honey, dripping with so much sweeteness that it almost made your teeth ache. It was usually because she seemed too sweet that some people might have become cautious. "My name is Cerium. Nice to meet you. What kind of training are you trying to do might I ask~?"
Seeing as she was here she might as well see a good show. She didn't remember this student from any of her classes, maybe he didn't take Martial Arts. It's a pity, there were so many applications for it.

"I wouldn't call it learning." Lucidus said when Cerium made that comment. "I was trying to improvise to see what I could do with my powers, I don't feel like being thrown through to another world." Lucidus sighed he still remembered how hard the ground was when he first came into this world. "Being placed into a random world once is quite enough for me." Lucidus didn't even realize that Cerium mightn't have known what he was going on about.

After Cerium asked what kind of training he was attempting to do he formed his bow in his hand. "Trying to find new and inventive ways to use this." His back still hurt but he was getting over it, if a little back injury would stop him there was no way he should continue being a mage. "Only problem with improvisation it often goes bad." Which in this case it went extremely bad, and now Lucidus knew not to do that in combat.

"What's with the sword?"
Lucidus thought that might of been a bit rude so he added "If you don't mind me asking, of course." After all it's not like many people walked around with swords in this place, a lot could summon them but not many people walked around with them.

And true as cake, Cerium didn't have a clue what Lucidus was on about when he spoke about landing in a different world. And when she didn't understand something like that, she often just chose to ignore it. So she focussed on what she did understand and that was his bow and how he was improvising. "You're right, improvising is a double edged sword. It either goes how you want it to, or no where at all." She took a seat on a nearby boulder and laced her fingers together.

"Save improvisation for battle~ What you're trying to do is train. So instead of shooting in the dark, so to speak, set ground rules for yourself.~" She didn't look behind her, but indicated with her finger. "That blast you shot was very uncontrolled, which tells me you're not used to handlign that kind of power, so why bother trying?" The same was to be said of Wushu. What was the point of using a sword as an extension of your arm, when you couldn't even control your arm to its full potential.

"Start smaller and build up to it~ This isn't like a baby learning to run before it walks. That's nonsense and a complete fluke most times. You're not a fluke, so take it step by step." Her eyes lit up a bit when he enquired about her sword, pull it for so that the end of the scabbard was touching the ground, "And if I do mind you asking~? What're you gonna do~? Hmmmmmmm~?"

Now Cerium was teasing him, but the sultry way in which she was doing it was probably going to make a teenage boy like Lucidus feel too uncomfortable, shy or nervous to pick up on it.

Lucidus listened as Cerium gave her opinion about his training, she was probably right with saving improvisation for battle. It would be nice to know what would work or not though. When Cerium mentioned the blast from before he looked over at the area where the blast was and lack of several trees from around it. The blast was quite unstable especially for Lucidus's standards.

When Cerium made the teasing statement asking what Lucidus would do if she did mind him asking about her sword. Lucidus had an idea, Cerium seemed like a rather strong person or at least very skillled from her training advice. "Okaay, How about we spar." Lucidus smiled, despite the fact that he had previously got slammed into the back of a tree he was always up for an oppurtunity to spar with someone.

"If I win, you tell me why you carry around the sword." Lucidus wondered what could be Cerium's prize if she won, before stopping and just deciding to ask her. "If you win, you can choose something." Lucidus hoped that Cerium would accept because he could practice some more and practicing with an opponent, that wasn't trying to kill him would be fun.

Cerium smiled. He reacted rather well for his age. Interesting. He'd even proposed a battle~ How bold! She then began to grin widely, "Fair enough~ If I win I get you to do one thing. But it'll only be after I beat you that I tell you what it is. Or maybe if you last the first 3 rounds of my attacks I'll let you in on it~" With that, she began to draw he katana with one hand to that she would be holding it backwards.

"Haaaaaaaaaajime~"

With that, in one elegant motion she leapt forward and drew her katana outwards in a slashing motion. Even though Cerium had been trained the Wushu Sword style and hand to hand combat, she preffered to use a katana as her weapon due to her heritage. Meanwhile, she a slipped a bit of the metal from the katana away from the blade, secretly running it down the back and inside of her shirt and pants and all the way down to the bottom of her soles, coating them with a very thin layer of metal.

Lucidus smiled as Cerium stated the rules, not realizing how strong she possibly could be. That was quickly remedied as he abrely dodged to the side as Cerium slashed at him, it was an extremely close call. "Wow, you're quick." Lucidus quickly commented not wanting to go into a conversation in the middle of a fight to make sure that it wasn't taken advantage of.

Lucidus jumped back trying to put as much space in between Cerium and him as possible, firing two rather low powered arrows at her while doing so to test her defensive capabillities. To help with that idea of staying at range Lucidus forced out Fenrus who positioned himself in front of Lucidus to make it harder for Cerium to get to him.
