Deus couldn't help but grin as he listened to the boy. He had rapidly decided whom Deus was without Deus having to say anything which was fine with him. He was more than willing to let this guy fill in the blanks on his own. Less work for Deus. However what was more interesting were the words he said and the way he said them. "When people go where they don't belong life has a way of punishing them all on it's own.." Deus said pressing his lips into a thin smile. This guy was an asshole. Rude, blunt, arrogant, and not very nice to be around. Which, for Deus, was perfect. No stupid forced pleasantries or pretending to be friends. He hated that sort of fake crap. Just like the spirits people forgot whom they really were and only became themselves when they put on a mask. Deus leaned forward walking away from the building towards the gate as he eyed it it with only passing itnerest. he stopped just short as he pushed his hands deep down into his pockets. He spoke without turning back to the boy. It was almost so that it seamed like he was talking to the gate, he never acknowledged him in any other way. "You one of the freaky kids in this school? The power of a tank in a squishy human form?" Edited by Cypriss, Jan 27 2011, 12:22 AM.

"Doesn't that apply to you too?" He said lazily, eying the guy with his back on him. What? Jumping down from the roof and living (or at least managing to stay away from the hospital) to tell the tale is not a defining characteristic of a normal human. Well, normal is defined differently here, anyway. But something more interesting to note is how unreserved amd straightforward his sentences were. It's like someone who had been released from all social constraint and was rejoicing the freedom to speak however he wanted without having to worry about the consequences. For some reason. Not that he cared, anyway. It's really not his problem what other people's behavior are like. Since he'd just force his way into others anyway. How else did he managed to get himself known as the Raging River? "Tceh," He smirked, placing his hands on his hips and shook his head. "How long have you been here, anyway?" |

"Sadly i'm just normal.." He said lying through his teeth. He mad it a point to not tell others about his power. When word got out he was 'death' well.. things got messy. People asking for favors, wanting to know when and how they die, wanting eternal life, etc etc. It was a powder keg he didn't wish to set off any time soon. Not to mention if he mentioned his affinity for the supernatural just moments after the kid took apart a ghost spider with the Grim Reaper... Well.. Deus didn't think others were very often 'intelligent' but it was a very rare specimen that was that stupid. He'd put two and two together so fast that Deus would be outed as the reaper before he even got finished saying the word "Supernatural". At times like this discretion, even hard to prove and somewhat unbelievable discretion. was the best option. So long as he had nothing to solidify his hunches on then they would remain unstated hunches. "I was taking a nap over there. I just wandered in and then you appeared out of nowhere." He said very casually. A perfect excuse. The boy had gone 'beyond the veil' which meant that he'd vanished. This was a sign of Deus' excellent ability to creat lies on the fly. |

"Good enough for me," He said, resting his hand behind his head, turning around without a care for the world. Details are good and important and all, but there are times when details are nothing more than an annoyance. This is one such times. "You won't mind if I don't tell you where I came from, yeah?" Pointless question, really, since he didn't even bother to wait for an answer. He strutted forward, away from the gate towards the little area where the stereo set existed, before plopping himself on the blanket of snow, pressing the play button on the stereo set, once again letting loose the music recorded inside the disk. He pulled his hood lower over his eyes, with the wall behind him, he waved lazily at the blue-haired guy. "Stay safe napping then. The Grim Reaper was here earlier," He would take a nap right now, if only that frikkin' spine-tingling sensation would just fucking stop. Damn, this place is spooky. The kind of feeling you'd get whenever you decide to take a walk around a place that had once been through some terrible accident or something. Like a big fire, for example. |

So the kid wasn't biting? Maybe he'd have to approach this from a different angle. For now it didn't seem like he'd get anywhere with forcing the issue on a guy whom was just as distant and cold as he was. Besides, if he went about this too bluntly he'd give himself away. But ignoring all of that he already knew of an excellent way to approach this issue later so he would just let it go. "Yeah yeah I'll be uh.. careful." He said idly, quirking an eyebrow as if the boy were crazy. He turned and walked away from the other boy as he did so heading off in a random direction away from where the boy was headed. Meanwhile in his mind he was thinking rapidly about what had transpired. No wonder that old man had sent him here if spirits had been festering long enough to forget their identities.. But why? Why had the reaper allowed the ghost problem here to get so far out of hand? Why did he need Deus to capture the spirits here rather than to do it himself? It was pretty mysterious. But all he was sure of was that Hyakuji had a strong supernatural presence that was going to be a real issue for him in the future. "Tcheh... what a bother." |
