Lucidus continued walking up the the slope of the mountains. He was extrememly bored recently and since coming to this world he hadn't had any real fights with anyone. Granted it was probably smarter to not get into fights but Lucidus was extremely bored and wanted to have a friendly spar with someone just to keep his skills up to scratch and to make sure he didn't get to sluggish. Besides he needed a break from all of the strange machines of the world and the suprises that came with them. It was very confusing for Lucidus who wasn't used to all this kind of stuff. Lucidus shivered it was quite cool almost cold even. "Eh, who am I kidding the chance that I meet someone who won't mind sparring is ridiculously low." Lucidus said to himself sighing. "Well, even if no one comes you can train by yourself." Fenrus replied inside his head, the one annoyance about having spirits is sometimes they like to voice their opinions very often. "It's so boring when I train by myself though." It was true Lucidus was very competitive and liked competeing with anyone that he could. It was sort of a habit that he had gained from all the magic duels that he had with opponents on his own world. Edited by Shadies, Jan 17 2011, 05:15 AM.

Up ahead the slope was a dozing, yet very cautious mage in flesh-colored robes and a enormously large hat with buttons, with a bubble coming in and out of his nose. For some odd reason, he was sleeping standing up with arms in his pockets, facing the bottom of the slope, rocking back and forth with the wind as he mumbled in his sleep. Of course, on Lucidus's approach, Shad's ears (altered by size magic) transferred the sound of enemy footsteps and his eyes snapped open. And with it, the feeling of the wind pressure on his body vanished without a trace, his motions smooth and collected. Who was this fellow walking towards him, despite the fact he had placed several of the wildlife on sentry duty to ward off hikers? No matter. "Ahem. You appear to be lost, sir. Up ahead around the next bend is a current cultivation of Sphagnum moss that is currently under my protection, and is being used for the hospital. I cannot allow anyone to walk on it or the moss will lose it's potency, seeing it has spread over a wide area of the slope." Shad said plainly, his piercing gray eyes drilling into Lucidus's. "So in order to avoid this, please go back down or find a alternate route by climbing up the mountain face. Any attempt to continue on this path and harming the moss will result in unneeded violence and possibly psychological harm to your mind." |

Lucidus continued up the hill until a strange figure stopped him and started going on about some kind of moss. Lucidus stood there looking questioningly before sighing this guy was annoying I mean who cares that much about plants. He could just go ahead and grow new ones. Even according to this guy the moss was spread all over the mountain so what was the deal if Lucidus walked over a little bit of. While Lucidus continued wondering why the plant was so important he heard the stranger threaten him with harm and violence. Something ticked in Lucidus's mind it meant that he could finnally have a fight with someone and screw holding back he threatened Lucidus first so he was well within his right to go full force. "No, don''t even think about it." Fenrus said inside Lucidus's mind. "I havn't gotten into a fight for ages, I am doing it." Came Lucidus's reply to which Fenrus sighed, he didn't have any chance of convincing Lucidus otherwise. "Fine then, looks like we will be fighting." Lucidus waiting no time materialized his bow. He muttered "Uranicus mico telum" Suddenly an arrow materialized and shot out of the bow about 5 metres from Shad the arrow would erupt in a blinding light. Not wanting to give his opponent a break Lucidus shot 4 more arrows at his opponent, the stranger would have to be fast to even have a hope of beating Lucidus. |

(OOC: Heat-seeking was a metaphor, Captain. It doesn't actually track people, it just is guided by Shad's aiming.) "(sigh) Why is it people like to pick on the short?" Shad said, listening to the comment about fighting from the strange man who appeared to be from a host club. Of course, he raised an eyebrow at the spirit bow forming in the man's hand but didn't falter or break away as the arrows were released towards him. Naturally, his eyes closed shut just as the first arrow flash-blinded him, but in that time, he had already acquired the measurements. Flit! Flit! Flit! Flit! Naturally, Shad took 3 of the 4 arrows, lodged into his shoulders and left hip withouth faltering. True, the arrows stung as they pierced his flesh, but the cold of the mountainside numbed the pain somewhat. Best to pull the arrows out after acquiring some of the mold to place on the open wounds after the battle. The fourth went into the front of his hat and was stuck there, the sharp point sticking out the other end. "My turn." Shad said coldly, his tone icy with a jagged edge to it. "Size Reduction, Multi-Target-Guy with Bow. Hands, right and left: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 8" L, 5" W, 1/2" H. Elbows, right and left: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 4" L, 2" W, 4" H." He said this in a fast-forward kind of way, his mouth a blur of words that carried with them power. And with such power, came a swift, incredibly fast beam of mana light that shot from his body and towards Lucidus, ready to strike at the targets defined. Please note that reduction magic shrinks the body part selected, and thus makes it weaker and fragile to use. Likewise, if he chose to shrink the bow itself if it was a regular one, it would be as brittle as a graham cracker in milk. To put it bluntly, the swift magical beam targeted Lucidus unless something blocked it's path. Edited by Super Hurricane, Jan 18 2011, 03:41 PM.

*Modwhistle* Double Rule Violation. First and foremost, drop the human skin robe bullcrap. Your so called robes, unless you made them ridiculously thick, as in 'Ridiculous to move in' level of thick, would be pierced through by arrows. Arrows are DESIGNED to go through flesh, they were designed for such a purpose. Typically, we also need for armor that is resistant to such things to be registered AS A POWER. If someone wants some armor, it typically takes up a power slot. Next up, Heartseeker-style beams? No. Not mentioned to be capable of doing that in your bio. Quit it with this bullcrap. Don't magically add properties to your attacks, especially if you have not been given permission to do so. |

All four of Lucidus's arrows hit the mark. Of course they did Lucidus was a reknowned sharpshooter with his powers at least on his own world he was. He had little time to celebreate his sucess however. Before he could pull more arrows his opponent shot magical beams at him. From what he could pick up they reduced the size of whatever was hit, maybe it was something else but that was his major guess. Enough guessing what it did though, Lucidus shot several arrows to hit each of the beams resulting in small explosions from each collision. Lucidus then started to pull back an arrow increasing the strentgh of it before letting it fly off towards Shad. That arrow should be more then enough to knock him off his feet which would make this an easy win. That was if the arrow hit him. |

(OOC: Just for the record, if you have a problem, Shadies, just PM me.) "Eeep!" Shad ducked down, decreasing his already short size frame by half as the arrow zoomed past. The arrow narrowly grazed the tip of his hat in the process, causing him to twitch his eye in irritation. "What the heck's your problem? My hat is not a freaking apple!" Standing back up, Shad began to absorb and form a purple aura of mana around his body, which gathered into his left arm and then into his fist. "Excellent....even with all the corruption in the city's Root, the mana is pretty clean up here. Now....where was I? Ah yes." He began to run towards his foe, in a rather odd zigzag pattern which seemed like slow motion to most people. But he was not most people, he was a incredibly poor runner who didn't understand basic posture in running. At the same time, he was muttering another incantation, this time keeping his voice low and mumbling rapidly. "Size Reduction, Multi-Target-Guy with Bow. Neck: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 4" L, 4" W, 6" H. Buttocks: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 4" L, 4" W, 9" H." This time, another beam shot from his body, only it was also zigzagging with his movements towards his target since he was guiding the beam. Not only was he going to give this guy a neck cramp and possible break his spinal cord, he'll unbalance him by shrinking his hips. True, the arrows stung with each step, but he ignored the pain for the time being. The arrows were only a hindrance, barely a 2 on the suffering level that he endured. |

BBOOOOOMM!!!! It was like a meteor had just dropped right between the two combatant, sending out shock waves, dust and debris alike into the air, clouding up everything, reducing visibility to a mere few meters due to the thick blanket of flying soil. The zigzagging purple magic attack penetrated the smoke, but it never reached the arrow-firing opponent of his, as though something in the haze had stopped its progress. The smokescreen cleared up, and something, or rather, someone, loomed into view. A boy, crouching over at the bottom of a newly made small crater that was definitely not there before. Three purple circle, filled with symbols and inscriptions, covered him from all sides, one of them pulsating slightly, having just taken a hit from the purple beam of light. His hood flapping ominously before resting down on his head. For some reason, there was a massive dark killer aura emanating from the crouching figure, and anyone with enough perception should be able to pick up just how much he felt like killing someone that day. He rose to his feet, the killer aura intensifying with every inches he covered. His hand balled up tightly, his teeth baring, his eyes mad and he was breathing shortly and heavily. His head tilted upwards. He turned around, locking his eyes towards the short kid behind him, and hissed, with an ominous toothy smile. "Who's the retard that ruined my lunch?" Holding up a burger impaled with an arrow. ~~FLASHBACK~~ Once upon a time there was an unnaturally happy boy walking about the sidewalk of the Suburban District. I say it's unnatural because most of the time Izumi River does not walk happily on the sidewalk. But for today, he's happy because he had just acquired... LUNCH!!! In the form of a burger. Long story short, the moment he brought the burger up to his mouth to enjoy the mouth-watering awesome deliciousness of it- Stab. Fall... drop. He stared blankly at the burger that was once clasped tightly in his hand, but now on the ground, impaled by a stray arrow that came out of nowhere. At first he felt nothing, then RAAAAEEEEEG!!!!! Using his unnaturally high speed brain that only seemed to manifest itself just for the sake of avenging the burger, he calculated the angle of the arrow to the plane of the burger, and the depth of the piercing, determining the distance and direction of where the arrow came from. After zeroing in on the location, which turned out to be at Mt. Hayaku, He rapidly made his way up to the mountain with super-human speed that seemed to manifests itself just to get him to Mt. Hayaku, aided also by his Fractional Gravity Magic that he used to cover huge distance in a single leap. All in all, he arrived pretty dang fast. ~~BACK TO THE FUTURE. ... Eh...~~ He stared down at the first person he had his eyes on, namely the short boy. Without doing much of a thinking because thinking is really not what he wanted to do for now, he said in a sweetly dangerous voice, "Well, since your attack nearly hit me earlier, I'm just gonna assume you're the one responsible for my burger," Out of nowhere, a five-meter radius red magic circle appeared right underneath the short boy, glowing brightly as the gravity within its perimeter boomed rapidly to five times the normal earth gravity, causing everything in it to be five times heavier. Want to know how dangerous being in a 5G environment is? Take your own body weight, multiply it by five, then imagine having to stand with that much weight on your back. "Urk!!!!" Shad shuddered suddenly, his legs shaking considerably under the sudden weight gain on his body. However, he did not falter or fall back, clenching his teeth together as he attempted to stablize his body in a firm fashion. "A...a Gravity Mage? You-you're blaming me for a arrow through a burger? Look here first before you pass judgement." With that said, Shad revealed a rather large and unsteady flare gun which was hidden in his robe pockets, designed to be held with both hands. Then placed it back in his pockets afterwards, once the burger lover got a glimpse of the special weapon which was licensed to him.Of course, Shad only used the flare gun as a last resort, mainly against armored opponents or necromancers. Still, the pressure was building up on his body and legs, despite even though he had experience carrying heavy objects up and down small mountains on his back. "I'm...not a bow and arrow...ugh...user. My only main weapon is the one I just showed you. My arms, being as skinny and frail as they are, cannot handle a bow or even shoot a arrow. He, on the other hand, is holding a bow and carrying the same type of arrows that pierced your burger. He is also trying to destroy a perfectly good field of peat moss as well." Shad said this pointing directly at Lucidus, accusingly, his arm shaking since it too was affected by the gravity control. 'Not good....not good at all. I can barely stand...is he part of Arcadia as well?' He thought, his breathing becoming heavy and distorted, as sweat began to form on his reddening face. |

Lucidus was preparing to dodge out of the way of the beams when suddenly a massive cloud of dust appeared forewarned by a massive bang. Lucidus tried looking to see what cause the explosions. A new person appeared surronded by purple circles and having quite the killer intent. As he yelled at who ruined his lunch showing the burger with the arrow in it Lucidus smiled. It was a complete accident that the arrow hit, hopefully he would accept an apology for his now ruined lunch. However Lucidus didn't get time to apologize as the newcomer attacking his opponent with some red circle that seemed to make his opponent fall to the ground. Lucidus said "Hey, I never actually said that I was going to walk over it." Technically this was true he had no actual plans to damage the moss he just wanted to fight someone because he was very bored. Lucidus looked over at River now. "That's my opponent, what do you think your doing." Lucidus didn't take kindly to interruptions especially during a fight. He however decided to test this guys abillity and called Fenrus out of his body. "Fenrus see that one whos not in the red circle do me a favour and tackle him to the ground while I finish my fight." Fenrus shook his head and sighed. "Fine, but take it easy." The wolf madly dashed towards the newcomer aiming to tackle him and keep him pinned down. Lucidus himself strung an arrow and was currently pulling the string back as far as possible so the arrow would have more velocity and therefore more power, he wasn't going to fire it as long as the newcomer backed down. |

... Flare gun...? Uh. Right. Flare gun. Sure. Like showing a flare gun is going to guarantee your innocence. Besides, flare guns aren't meant to be used as a weapon, let alone a MAIN weapon. ... Ah well. "Like I care about what you have to say," He said, picking his nose and flicking whatever he managed to dig out away. I mean, really. Moss? Who cares about mosses? Apparently this shorty cares about them. Annoying. Izumi River does not like people who annoys him. He was about to put the shorty through the gate separating life and afterlife when he raised his hand pointing accusingly at a certain someone behind him. Which turned out to be another guy. With bows. And arrows. Well, WHATEVER. Who cares about the details? What sort of person would pay THAT much attention to arrow types? Apparently the shorty would. Well then. Time for a little summary revision. Apparently these two have been fighting with each other and for some reason a stray arrow flew aaaaaall the way towards the suburban district, ruining his lunch. So.... They're both at fault. Why the hell do they have to have a fight in the first place? Now look, the first casualty! HIS BURGER!!! He was about to declare judgment on both of them, but just as he opened his mouth a winged wolf charged right at him out of nowhere. Taken by surprise, he didn't even have the chance to deactivate his Gravity Circle before he was tackled off his feet, his body pinned down by the heavy weight of the snarling canine on top of him. In return, he glared at it with a demonic stare, and a devilish grin. "You know... I'm the victim here. Meaning to say I have every single right to deal punishment to anyone responsible. And in this case, the shorty and, ... your master are responsible. So..." He pulled his arm back, his hand forming a fist. "...why don't you..." Two magic circle formed over his knuckle, one on top of each other. One of them glowing a bright yellowish-brown, and the other a bright purple. He's not sure what kind of Barrier would work on this mutt, considering it HAD came out of nowhere. If Physical Barrier doesn't work, then perhaps Magic Barrier would do the trick. Using the two small fist sized Physical and Magic Barrier as some specialized boxing glove of some sort, "...just get out of my WAY!!!!" He yelled, bringing up his right fist as a very powerful punch executed by a person three times stronger than any normal person, aiming it right at the winged wolf's jaw. "Yes, you're the victim. And yet you called me short, which is insulting since I'm only 13. How would you like it if I made you a preschooler, huh?" Shad muttered to himself, already drawing mana from the gravity magic into his left arm. Clearly, this foolish intruder won't be able to dodge in time since he was still on the ground and it would take at least a few seconds to stand up or jump out of the way. More than enough time for his beam to strike him dead center. "Size Reduction, Multi-Target-Guy with Burger. Adam's Apple: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 2" L, 2" W, 1" H. Arms, left and right: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 1' L, 4" W, 4" H." He chanted under his breath, even as the crushing pressure builded up, his heartbeat pounding in his chest. If this kept up, he'll have to use enlargement to toughen up his body structure....but he questioned if it could work when the mage could go beyond 5x gravity. With that, a new, swift and quick beam of pure magic light burst from him and shot straight at the burger lover awhile his attention was on the winged wolf. Being made of magical light, the gravity magic couldn't affect it due to it having no mass to begin with, and so it shot like a bullet from a rifle (metaphorically, of course) to engulf it's target awhile he was on the ground. |

Fenrus took the punch and was pushed off the kid barely, suprisingly enough it was a rather strong punch which prolly had something to do with the strange things around his hands. It didn't do to much damage since Fenrus was a very very big and tough wolf. He began circling his opponent to make sure he didn't do anything cheap. Lucidus looked over at the kid who just smacked Fenrus right off of him. "It's not nice to interfere in other peoples fights. So sit back and calm the hell down and watch." He would have to apologize about the burger later on after the fight. "HEY, He's not your opponent." Lucidus shouted at Shad as he shot an arrow which intercepted the magic beam resulting in a small collision. He didn't like being ignored and this was getting woefully repetitive, why did these two not understand that himself and the short guy were fighting and people should stop interfereing with it. That should be obvious. This wolf here is big AND strong. But he's not too shabby. While the punch before, while not able to deal the intended damage, as in, breaking its jaw, it did manage to knock the wolf off from him, freeing him from the pinning attack allowing him to get back to his fee- BOOM!!! There was a small explosion behind him as the magic beam shot from the shorty collided with the arrow shot from the bowman. He'd call that luck. "I see," He said, turning to face the short boy with a cold stare. "While I COULD forgive you from earlier since you never intended to hit me in the first place, this time I CAN'T forgive you. Because you INTENDED to hit me with that," He said with an evil smirk. Raising his hand he pointed at the winged wolf circling him. This little mutt needs to be taken out, because he's just an annoyance. "You there. Stay out of this," As he said that, a large number of magic circle formed all around the winged wolf, encasing him in a dome of Physical Barrier, leaving just enough room for it to turn around on the spot, but not enough room to even spread its wing. Each of those Barrier Circle are strong enough to withstand a three hundred kilograms of force. Uh. Right. That may have been a little bit too much. He could actually feel his magic energy being drained to its last drop. Oh. The Gravity Circle. It's leeching away his energy just to stay activated. Slowly but surely, the power of the Gravity Circle was reduced. From 5G, to 4.5G, to 4G... |

"I intended to make you release the gravity bind on me, not to harm you. If there's anything I hate, it's a gravity mage that doesn't understand I can kill him in an instant." Shad said darkly, slowly approaching the burger boy with what felt like he was crossing a desert with a heavy adult camel on his back. Which he had done on various occasions during his time in the village, as a way set by the Elders to kill him outright, only to backfire. Of course, the weight was disappearing pound by pound once the wolf was contained by those high-level spell wards, allowing him to limp forwards in a dying sorta fashion. "Hang on a sec, my dear archer. I'll just put this guy out to pasture and then we can continue at each other's throats." Then the high speed, mumbling under the breath began once more as he drew mana from the magic consuming him, forming it into his left arm. "Size Reduction, Multi-Target-Guy with Burger. Neck: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 5" L, 5" W, 6" H. Chest: Original size: *" L, *" W, *" H reduced by 7" L, 9" W, 1' H." With that, a new explosively swift beam burst out of him, ready to engulf his prey and alter his appearance (as well as make his body structure weaker) for a short duration. |
