As he smiled at him Erin smiled himself. Haien was a very cute... Haien. Anyways it was a lovely smile. There was no need to think about it beyond that. Erin lifted his right hand in a half-assed wave, "Hello Haien, Trystan. I'm Erin Sansai, spelled like a girl." Once more Erin questioned why he always introduced himself like that. It wasn't as if they needed to know how his name was spelled. "And a suit is..." He stopped. A suit was a suit. He was a bit short on words. Oh yes. There it was. "It's a formal garment consisting of trousers and a jacket and sometimes a waistcoat. Made of the same material." Erin liked a waistcoat in his suit. Without that it didn't seem as uh... suit-like. |

Haien's smile didn't fade, but he considered the outfit in his head, then nodded. "A...suit. That w-would do nicely." He considered for a moment, then decided that there was safety in numbers. "Prehaps y-you could help me pick o-one out, Erin Sansai?" Haien asked. Then he turned back towards Trystan's female companion. "And dear lady, I don't believe I've had the pleasure of your name." He fell back on courtly manners for the simple reason that he couldn't judge her. Despite the fact that she seemed to be in the service of Trystan, he seemed to defer to her on some things. This indicated some form of authority that she carried. The Fayne only obeyed the Five, not each other. But despite that, they had a peaceful society. Haien briefly considered asking the woman for help selecting female clothes, then had another idea. Plenty of human females around his age were walking around the mall. He could just as easily watch them, study their clothes, and assemble his own human wardrobe. Both male and female. |

"A...suit. That w-would do nicely. Prehaps y-you could help me pick o-one out, Erin Sansai?" Nina started thinking for a moment at these words. Yes, a suit probably would, pardon the pun, suit Trystan fairly well. He was well built, but not bulky, and so articles of clothing such as suits, which emphasized the lines and shape of the wearer, would match well, and perhaps even bring out the wearer's unique attractiveness. As she started to imagine her Master wearing a suit, a slight, barely detectable change of color came to her cheeks. Because he normally refused to dress up, whenever he did, the change that occurred with Trystan's appearance was always stunning and, shall we say, extremely pleasing, for Nina. "And dear lady, I don't believe I've had the pleasure of your name." Honestly, she didn't want to give her name to the, apparently, male known as Haien. It wasn't just due to the fact that was androphobic to everyone save her Master; it was clear from his body language that, while crossdressing was not the subject matter now, he did not plan to stop doing it entirely. In fact, if her eyes hadn't been deceiving her she could have probably sworn that she had seen a hint of Haien wanting her to advise him further on feminine clothing. However, that feeling had quickly passed, and so Nina didn't pay it much mind. Regardless, she had now classified this individual as someone who had a high potential for corrupting her Master's morals - an unhealthy relationship that should be avoided at all costs! Nevertheless, good manners were still required, as it was only common sense to return courtesy as it was shown to you, regardless of what your own personal opinion on said individual was. "My name is Nina. It is a pleasure to meet you, Haien-sama." Trystan merely smiled and nodded, a content smile on his face, turning a blind eye to what he knew was going on inside Nina's head. One small step for a man, one great leap for conquering adrophobia! ...or something like that... |

"Yes. Yes, I suppose I could help you with that." After speaking he glanced around, "We probably will have to go to another store though." He supposed it was too much to ask that a hip store like had nice menswear. "You could always slip back here later, but if you want to finish shopping around here first then go ahead." It wasn't as if Erin was doing anything. He looked at Haien rather intently as he decided what sort of suit would suit him. He wasn't a very broad guy so something double-breasted would probably be a bit too much. Maybe pinstripes? Glancing back to Trystan Erin asked, "You wanna join us?" He didn't see any reason he shouldn't. |

Haien felt the veiled dislike the servent's eyes. He smiled pleasantly though, that same smile he'd flashed at Erin. He hadn't realized his own expression of joy could be pleasing to others, but it was worth a try. This woman...she honestly thought she had the right to think poorly of him? A single Fayne was worth several humans. But his smile was no less pleasant for it. Only on the inside did he feel the irritation. "Well Miss Nina, it was a pleasure to meet you." Haien turned his attention to the ever-so-helpful and handsome Erin. Wait...handsome? Where on earth did that idea come from. Humans? Attractive? There must be something wrong with the air on the planet surface. Haien shook his head slightly, then smiled again. "Actually, I-I have some more s-shopping to do here f-first. I don't s-suppose you could h-help me with that a-as well?" |

"Well Miss Nina, it was a pleasure to meet you." Uwaah, the tension's almost palpable... Sensing the situation somewhat, Trystan saluted with left palm over right fist, then gave an apologetic smile before speaking. "Sorry, but I actually have to get to work soon after this. Haien-san, Erin-san; I do hope you find what you were looking for when you came." With that, Trystan and Nina exited to shop. [exit] |

"Mmm. So that's how this is going, huh?" If only the guy in the dress were a woman it would feel like a date, but he already knew Haien was a man. It was really a crying shame. So he was left to hang around with this cross-dressing fellow. It wasn't as if he had anything better to do though. "I'm afraid I don't really know anything about lady's clothes." Well, that wasn't entirely true. He knew a fair bit about women's clothing, but more in a 'I can recognize that you are wearing a lovely X, Y or Z.' way than a 'You would look lovely in this.' way. "I really don't feel like I could recommend anything." |

Haien smiled at Erin, and shrugged. "That's r-really quite alright. I really o-only want your o-opinion." The Fayne replied, scooping up a small pile of clothes before vanishing into a changing room. When he emerged, he was dressed in a kimono-like outfit, with a long pleated skirt in a midnight blue color. The upper part of the outfit was a white shirt with long flowing sleeves. "Erin Sansai? What do you think of this? Is it...what is the human word?" He turned slowly, examining his reflection in the mirror. It looked...nice. Haien smiled genuinely this time, not just trying to win people over. He felt...what was the human word? Pretty. That was the word he had been trying to think of. "Pretty?" |

"Yes, it's very pretty, but it might be rather too formal." Erin said. "After all you did say you were hoping to get some a whole wardrobe for normal..." He trailed off. Cross dressing really wasn't normal either. Not that there was anything wrong with that "Well, a human wardrobe." Erin had answered honestly, and found a chair somewhere. He thought to himself. It would be like him walking around in a tuxedo. He wasn't so sure that sort of thing was reasonable. "Perhaps something a bit less flowing." |

"Perhaps something a little less flowing." Haien thought about that statement for a second, then looked around at the racks of clothing. He plucked at a shortish skirt, once designed more for looks than actually being a skirt. Something would have to be worn under it. Perhaps some of those "pants" humans were always wearing. He looked around again, selecting a few more items, then vanishing back into the changing room. This time when he returned, he wore a orange tank top with a little skull with hearts for eyes, as well as green gloves and white pants and a black scarf with little pink hearts on it. His socks were black, with little multicolored music notes, and they matched his green canvas shoes. "What about this?" Haien asked. He tilted his head as he examined his reflection. Despite the fact that the clothing was slightly more androgynous, he managed to maintain the feminine appearance he had while wearing the dress. |

"I wouldn't wear that if I were you." Even if he had managed to maintain his feminine appearance it would be too easy for it to slip. And while Erin had nothing against his new cross-dressing friend he didn't think he wanted to see Haien looking so... gay. "Perhaps you shouldn't wear something so androgynous." The place in between feminine and masculine seemed the most dangerous. Is he dressed as a woman then the mind could be tricked. And if he dressed as a man then the truth would be seen. That place would leave everyone uncertain. |

Haien looked a bit confused, but vanished into the dressing room again. This time when he emerged, his outfit was a little more masculine. He had brown shorts, black and white striped knee socks, black shoes, a brown jacket with a faux-fur-lined hood, a red and black striped scarf, and black gloves. It was beginning to look as though anything he wore would look at least somewhat feminine on him, unless it was designed to look masculine. Despite that somewhat unsettling fact, Haien was still enjoying himself. He liked human clothes. So many options, so many colors. "What about this, Erin Sansai?" Haien turned slowly so Erin could see. "Though, I'm somewhat curious...what is androgyny?" |

This one didn't seem as bad, though she hadn't listened to him at all. DAMN! He. He. HE. HE. HE. Erin straightened his thoughts as he looked over the outfit. Honestly he'd seen some very feminine clothes on the men of this school and this looked acceptable. Anyone could wear it. Erin wouldn't, but it looked fine. "That's very nice Haien." "Androgynous is..." He thought a moment, trying to word things right. "Umm... Between masculine and feminine." That was more or less what it meant but he couldn't help thinking it was vague. After all what he was wearing now was a bit like that as well. So was Haien as a whole.. "Try to stay away from anything too tight as well." Erin added the comment as an afterthought. |

Haien smiled at Erin, oblivious to Erin's discomfort and confusion. "Back home, we have very loose gender roles." Haien explained, once again leaving out his place of origin and his species. "But humans seem to have rather defined roles. While I change, could you tell me about them?" Haien was picking out another outfit as he spoke, then vanished behind the changing room curtain. This time, he pulled on another outfit that was vaguely male. Brown shorts and brown suspenders over a red button-up shirt with a fold-down collar. A teal bandana around his neck, and he took his little necklace with the Triple Aspect on it and tied it around his wrist. Then he pulled on tall teal socks and brown loafers. As he got dressed, he listened. |

"These days people tend to break the gender roles, so what I'm about to say would probably get me yelled at." Erin said. He didn't really mind, but Haien shouldn't repeat it. "Women tend to stay in the home and take care of the children, the cooking and the cleaning." That would definitely get him yelled at, but that was that. "Men go to the workplace to pay for the expenses of the house." The workplace. That was a nice vague term. It included a lot of thing that no man would be caught doing. "Though some jobs are things that no man would be caught doing." |
