Haien looked around nervously. Even a field like this...it was still dead. He didn't even think a proper Chosen of the Goddess could coax this...concrete wasteland of a city back to life. Why was it that humans couldn't learn to live with nature as the Faine had? The gardens of the Silver City were in bloom all year round, everlasting undying beauty. As the feline-like youth walked around, he managed to trip and fall flat on his face in a snowbank. "C-cold..." He mumbled, staggering upright. His eternal curse. Rather than being born with the unearthly grace, charm, and balance of the Faine, he was born a klutz. With him around, any object could be a disaster waiting to happen.

He sighed, sitting down on a bench that was thankfully devoid of snow and moisture. He'd only enrolled in the school so he could move around unquestioned, and find the town's sorcerer-adept. The human council of magic-users had directed the Faine's attentions to this town, close to where the Foe had set up his delusional empire... But why on earth did he end up in a physical education class?! Not even the most graceful of the Faine was any good at physical activities! It just...wasn't their forte. Haien sighed again, and started singing the Goddess' Song to himself quietly.

"I say, given the weather I'm surprised they didn't cancel the gym class," Selene commented as she made her way to the athletic field. Needless to say, a T-shirt and bloomers aren't exactly the most appropriate gear for winter. The corporate heiress raised her hands in front of her face, blowing gently on them to warm them up, her breath escaping her lips in white wispy puffs of fog as she blew gently on her hands and rubbed them together to massage some feeling back into her numb fingertips. No one else present - but then again, she knew better than to be surprised over it. "Mmm..." the British magus mumbled as she wrapped her arms around herself and jogged on the spot. And it was at this point Selene soon realized she was not alone - there was no mistaking it, but the corporate heiress felt a tingle in the air; was it not somebody else's magical signature? The aura 'smelled' familiar - there was little doubt that another user of magic was nearby.

And there he was, Selene spied from the corner of her eye a boy sitting on a nearby bench - fair marble-like skin, dark blue hair and to add on top of that a pair of cat's ears and a cat's tail. While everyone in Hyakuji High had some form of uncanny ability, most looked no different from normal humans, so needless to say a non-human easily stood out amongst the student population. But more to the point - was that boy not from a magical race? What was his race called again? For a moment there she couldn't remember the name of his people, but the English heiress was no stranger when it comes to such races - with the fact that Frostfire family being descended from hybrids between humans and such beings. "Good day to you sir," Selene smiled and waved as she made her way over to where the Faine boy sat.

"Are you new here? I don't remember seeing you around here," the corporate heiress began, holding the air as she did a skirt-less curtsy. "Selene Frostfire, Hyakuji High School sophomore. A pleasure meeting you," the English heiress smiled as she straightened herself and rested a hand on her chest to indicate herself after introducing her name.

Students learned in school that it was necessary to balance body and mind. All work and play makes Jack a dull boy. That it was they forced kids to exercise. It's unhealthy for people to sit inside and study all day without moving around even for a little bit. Ru never minded it, it was fun to get out of the class room. In Grade School they would play in the pool or run around in the field. Sometimes they ran.

Ru being on the ice skating team was to also take Dance and Gymnastic classes. He learned to become flexible and it improved his endurance and agility. He could even hold is own against the cross country team. Ru wondered what HHS would do during Gym...extreme flying dodgeball matches?

Ru was wearing a track jacket and shorts. He also had leg warmers and basic pair or sneakers. Despite his wishes he decided to tie his hair in a pony tail. He was walking out toward the field when he noticed there were already two others. One girl and one...NEKKKKKKOOOOO!!

Ru stopped and summoned all of the energy he could. A shimmering light formed around him as he burst forward at mach speeds. He held his arms out and dove forward like a missile. Target Locked! Haien will soon find himself Uber-glomped. "Haien-kun!!!" Ru yelled out

Look at his little dance
Spike changed into his gym clothes, windbreaker pants and a white T-Shirt, at a relaxed pace. It was a bit cold out really. He'd kind of hoped they'd be inside on a basketball court or something today. Reaching the athletic field saw his breath in front of him. Well, getting yourself moving was probably the best way to start getting warm.

"RAAWWWHH!" Spike yelled then bolted past Haien and Selene toward the track. Their teacher wasn't there yet, so he just decided to run. He could have tried to get in a fight he supposed, but he was still kinda afraid of their teacher, plus Chizu was in this class and she would probably take him down before he could make a mess.

Gym had always been the class he actually participated in back before he'd come here, so it was no surprise that he was still fully engaged in it.

Haien looked up curiously at the girl who had come over and addressed him and studied her eyes for a moment, somewhere in them recognizing that elusive quality that identified her as a fellow magic user, then he stood and reached out, touching her forehead in the ritual greeting of the Faine. Granted, she had no Jewel of Hecate on her brow, but it was the thought that counted. He greeted her as an equal. <<Do you understand Techaris?>> He asked, the ancient fluid-sounding language flowing easily from his tongue.

A look of terror momentarily crossed Haien's face as he saw the living projectile racing towards him, and he instinctively raised his hands, sketching arcane symbols in the air, his fingers leaving shimmering trails that hung in the air as one of the legendary Runes of Hecate began to take shape in his mind and at his fingertips. His lips moved soundlessly in prayer to the Faine Goddess for whom the Runes were named, calling Her magic up from the depths of his soul.

Clearly, Ru's speed was not being respected. He has trained before many anime conventions in the art of glomping. It would be impossible to survive in these gathering if it weren't for him obtaining this ability. He learned from the best, he trained under them and they passed down their knowledge. When spotting a creature of interest it is important to get an edge. If stealth cannot be kept, you must use your speed to get the better of him.

The summoning of energy is the gathering of souls from all otakus before him. The burst is...the release of said energy. The speed is based of the target of interest. Nekos are incredibly popular and therefor must be obtained quickly before another hunter gets the prey.

Before the young caster could conjure up his spell, Ru had already grabbed him. The force would disrupt the magic and render the target helpless. Ru had however miscalculated the distance between them, and the speed needed. He had well over shot the goal, causing the two not only to fly off the bench but to roll on the ground over and over until they slowed to stop. The cat boy landed on his back with Ru on top leaning forward with his but in the air. There noses pressed together. "Hello Haien-kun"

The shimmering rune that was forming in the air dispersed in a shower of sparkles as Haien found himself flying through the air, then crashing to the ground with a lavender-haired girl on top of him. "M-miss R-R-Ru?" Haien stammered, his face turning bright red, his amber eyes wide. Something wet slid slowly down his cheek. He reached up, and touched his face. When he too his hand away, there was blood on it. Somehow, he'd gotten his face scratched. He froze, staring at the redness on the tip of his finger. He started to shake slightly, his face going from red to white as a sheet.

For reasons that he had refused to tell anyone, even his elders, Haien had a semi-traumatic fear of facial injuries. Possibly because all of the Faine were supposed to be beautiful. Possibly because of some horrific dream. Whatever the cause, the terror was ferry real. Even a small scratch that bled had the potential to paralize him with fear. Except for his tail, which lashed around anxiously.

For a while the cat-eared boy looked curiously at Selene, studying her eyes before standing up and touching the corporate heiress on the forehead, eliciting a curious blink from Selene. <<Do you understand Techaris?>>

Cor blimey! He really is one of them! A Faine! The corporate heiress mentally exclaimed; as far as the languages of magical races go, however Techaris unfortunately wasn't one of those she was familiar with - the elusive nature of the Faine meant that very few amongst those who studied magic and consorted with magical races are even aware of their existence, much less having interacted with them. But Selene decided to give it a shot, using whatever little she knew of this ancient tongue. <<Not so good at it... Can hold some conversations though... you a F... Faine, yes? Honour to meet you.>> the corporate heiress replied in her limited fashion, her gaze wandering briefly as Spike ran past her.

Before the Faine boy could reply however, a comet literally crashed into him as a small girl with long purple hair tackled him in a move the English heiress recognized as 'glomping', the two of them landing on the ground with the cat boy facing up and the purple-haired girl on top of him, nuzzling closely as they touched noses. "Hello Haien-kun" Such an energetic girl! For some reason, she reminded Selene of Jen - similar hair color, and a comparable disposition.

"M-miss R-R-Ru?" he stammered, apparently taken completely by surprise with his amber eyes wide open and his marble-like cheeks turning pink. And that was when Selene noticed it - a scratch on Haien's cheek, a small trickle of blood already oozing from the small injury. For a while he just stared at the blood on his hand after wiping some of it away from his cheek, his flushed cheeks quickly turning white.

"Are you all right?" Selene asked in Japanese, before looking around, her eyes stopping at her bag that was left lying nearby. "I'll get you a band-aid, don't worry!" the corporate heiress reassured as she turned around and darted towards where she kept her belongings.

Haien overcame his fear enough to move his hands, slipping one into his robe and pulling out a small wooden box. He opened the box and pulled out a small glass bottle that looked like it was full of a semi-liquid substance and a little piece of cloth cloth. He dabbed the substance on the cloth, and then pressed the cloth to his cheek. When he took his hand away from his cheek, the cloth stayed there, some sort of Faine band-aid.

"S-s-sorry..." Haien mumbled, clearly still shaken from his "ordeal", and he attempted to sit up, not sure if he was capable of dislodging that which was holding him down. One lavender-haired girl who's speed was potentially harmful to anyone with cat-like characteristics: Ru. Some color was returning to the Faine mage's face, returning it to its former pale perfection. The only thing marring his delicate features now was that single bandage.

Chizu entered the gym calmly, tossing her backpack onto the bleachers like she did everyday. Her red eyes flickered over the situation briefly. From the looks of it, a little hyperactive girl with lavender hair had decided to pounce on a cat boy. The cat boy was now getting some assistance from Selene, and Spike was running around the track. And class hadn't even started yet. Business as usual, then.

She nodded at Spike, walking over to Selene and the others. Chizu was dressed in her usual gym clothes, wearing sweatpants instead of the shorts that she usually wore because of the cold weather outside. She was in a better mood than she had been at homeroom, mostly because she had gotten over her previous exhaustion. "Hey," she said, raising her hand up in greeting towards Selene as she reached the group of three. "Everything alright?"

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng
So far so good...

"So, how long is this gonna take again?"

DON'T INTERRUPT MY THOUGHTS!! This a very critical procedure I have to go through! You might as well have realized that your brain and I are not syncing very well these days! All these times you've been relying on me for super-human capabilities, what can you do without me? WE'RE GOING TO BE UP AGAINST SUPER-SOLDIERS, WHAT CAN A NORMAL HUMAN LIKE YOU DO ANYTHING?!

"Okay okay! You don't have to fly off at me like that!" Seth said, quite alarmed at how short V's fuse was.

Tch.

Seth, or rather, V, was walking on as normally as he could towards the field, taking his steps carefully, right, left, right, left, and was careful not to make any slips that would cause Seth to stumble and fall flat on his face. While that could warrant a good laugh for V, this is not the time for humor. If he fails to even walk to the bleacher, he might as well claim his death the next few days. ... well, he really should right now, because instead of walking towards the bleacher, the lower portion of Seth's body V was controlling was guiding him all the way towards the track field.

Ah... shit... directional control is messed up... dammit.

He stopped right at the middle of the track, going back to the depth of Seth's brain in an attempt to reconfigure his connection with his legs. What he didn't realize is that he had just placed himself in a collision course with some spiky-haired burly guy running across the track.

Apparently, Seth himself was too busy arguing with V too notice that.

Stooooopid.
