Lucidus looked at the strange building in front of him, it was deffinetly different from the architecture that he had been used to looking at. Now however wasn't the time to admire the architecture, after all Lucidus came here to try and find out about a certain kind of magic and he had heard from various people he had asked that this place would probably be the best place to look for. Nevertheless he decided to go ahead and do what he came here to do. He walked into the store, inside the store was just as strange as outside. The items were displayed on shelves in front of the counter. This seemed like a bad idea because people could steal them without the shop owner realizing. Lucidus thought that the owner must of been very trusting of any possible customers to display his items like that. While looking around a few of the shelves Lucidus had a look at some books. He scowled none of the books had the information that he needed so he continued looking for another couple of minutes. He moved off to another shelf to begin looking at some of the other books there hoping that he could find what he was looking for. Edited by Shadies, Jan 7 2011, 08:40 PM.

*Flip flip flip flip flip* *Clunk* *Flip flip flip flip flip* *Clunk* Aaaas per usual, A certain Half-Nymph was browsing through the books. Meglumar full well knew that none of the books in the front were really super magical, and at best were full of parlor tricks. The really good stuff in the back was more or less off limits save for certain people...But still. Some of this stuff was pretty good anyways. Heavens knew he was still a complete NOVICE when it came to magics. He flipped through another book, putting it back as he realized it was another one of the vague, nonsense books that used loose terms to try and make fake predictions that could be easily made to fit any situation. He'd been getting good at learning to tell the nonsense from the good works. He looked to another shelf. Someone was already looking over some books. "Pardon me. Could you pass me that book?" He asked the stranger. |

After looking through several more books on the shelf that he had recently arrived to, he almost gave up any chance of actually finding a decent book about the magic he was looking for. Lucidus was about to head over to the counter when someone asked for a certain book over near where he was. "Sure, No problem at all." Lucidus replied in whatever language this strange would be most proficient in. Lucidus picked up the book that the stranger wanted and walked over and handed it to him. While he handed the book he wondered what he needed it for, the chance that it was another rubbish book was rather high but you'd never know. Evnetually his curiousty got the better of him and he asked "So, what are you looking for?" Now while this may seem rude Lucidus had no really grasp of this dimension's mannerisms. After realizing that he forgot to introduce himself he quickly added. "Oh, I completely forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lucidus Levis, Nice to meet you." The stranger seemed to be looking for something about magic as well, at least that's what Lucidus thought. Maybe he was talented with magic and if so he might be able to help him find information on what he was looking for. God knows the bookstore wasn't really helping all that much. |

Meglumar's eyes widened in shock as he jumped back. This person...They spoke with the tongue of his people! But that was impossible! He was 3 dimensions away from there, and no translation magics that he knew of were good enough to translate it perfectly. He backed into a bookcase, and almost knocked it over. "You speak the words of my people?!" He said, with surprise. He held the book close, not even bothering to open it. This was...TOO much of a shock. He never thought he would hear someone from this world use those words, even he and his parents had stopped using the old language and were adapting to English and Japanese. "Who are you? Where are you from?" He asked, genuinely concerned over this. The person stated his name, It was not one from his world...but he needed to know where this stranger was from. Badly. The stranger jumped back in shock a little bit, Lucidus craned his head to the side in curiosty. He wondered if he did something wrong, then the stranger pointed out how he spoke the language of his people. Lucidus looked confused for a moment before bursting out in laughter. He didn't expect this to happen, he probably should of been prepared for it, he would have to explain it to the obviously confused person. "I can explain that easily." Lucidus pulled out a small necklace out from under his shirt which had a small green crystal in the middle of it. "This, allows for perfect translation between different languages. For me I hear you speaking my native language, and you hear me speaking the language of your people." Lucidus took off the necklace and the green gem turned black. He then started saying what would be incomprehensible to anyone on this world. After putting the necklace back on and the gem turning back to green Lucidus casually said. "I travel a lot at home, this is kind of nessecary, even more so now i'm in this strange world." It was strange though the fact that he was so suprised at speaking a language, languages are very widespread so he should probably be used to it, but this stranger seemed very taken back by it. Maybe he was in a similar situation to Lucidus himself and was on a different world. "As I stated before my name is Lucidus Levis, I come from the world of Aurora, I don't exactly know where Aurora is compared to this world, so I'm stuck here for a while." Hopefully this explained the perfected language skills, to the confused stranger in front of him. |

Meglumar took a deep, relaxed breath. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. On the one hand, it would have meant he could go back home. On the other hand....Well, this was more like home now. There was NO way he could fit back in with his people as he was now. So the cause of this was a translation amulet. That was unique. It actually WORKED, something that had never happened before. Perhaps because it seemed it was also off-world. As was this person. He'd never, in the multiple worlds, come across someone that spoke the language or could properly translate it. "I...See. You are not the only stranded offworlder. There are actually quite a few. I am Meglumar, Of the Odai family. How did you come to this world?" He said, extending a hand. |

As his newly acquainted friend calmed down Lucidus still found it rather amusing at how much of a reaction he had. Even if his language was that extremely rare it was an over the top reaction at least thats what Lucidus thought. According to the stranger he there were actually quite a few offworlders on this world, that came as a bit of a suprise to Lucidus who thought he might of been the only one. It was then his new acquantance introduced himself as Meglumar and held out his hand for Lucidus to shake. Lucidus shook his hand, "It's nice to meet you Meglumar." it seemed he had made a new friend, if so the trip wouldn't turn out for completely nothing. When he asked how he got to this world, a question which had been asked a few times. Lucidus started to explain how he came to the world. "In my world I was participating in a tournament between magicians, I was fighting a well know opponent and I was winning against him." Lucidus said as he remember the occasion. "This opponent was well known for his ruthelessness and his stubborness, eventually he used forbidden dimensional magic and the next thing I remember was falling onto the floor of the forest, outside of town." Lucidus sighed, while he didn't mind telling people how he arrived in here it was getting kind of repetitive, however he understood that people were curious. |

Meglumar visibly winced at the words 'Dimensional Magics.' It was what got him off of his world in the first place. And then later what caused him to get lost and end up in the Heartless war. And th-Okay, know what? Long Story short, Transdimensional magic of any kind had it in for the guy. It was a miracle he didn't end up arriving with both arms and no evil twins. "A tale I can relate to well. Such magics never work out well." He said, obviously biased. He glanced through the book he'd asked for. This one had potential... He'd consider buying it...maybe. "If you are here to look into a method of returning, I am sorry to say it is not likely to be here. These books of magics are not entirely accurate." Well, okay, some of these were. A majority were not. Anything of use for such a thing would be in the back, but only talking with Tsukasa-sensei would get Lucidus a chance to look them over, and even then there was not guarantee, |

Lucidus listened as Meglumar said that he could relate to such an event, that pretty much sealed Lucidus's curiosty whether he was originally from this world or not. "It is a rather annoying kind of magic, I'm suprised the tournament officials didn't have something ready for if something like that happened, but that's the past can't get to focused on it." Meglumar pointed out the books of magic weren't entirely the thing that Lucidus was most likely looking for. "I sort of noticed that when I read through the books over on another shelf." Lucidus sighed maybe he would have to find some other way. "I guess, I'll probably be stuck here for a little longer then I thought." While that wasn't necessarily a bad thing it would be good to go back to his own world, and find that bastard and put an arrow in his skull. Lucidus looked around. "Are you sure theres no accurate books here?" It wouldn't be good if he missed out on a potentially good book by accident, even if it was on about basic magic in this world. Anything would be enough help him at least learn more about how magic worked in this world or even the rules of magic, since he was staying here for a while he would need to get more knowledge around the magic of this world. |

"Hmm. You would need to speak with the one in charge of the store. He is the teacher on supernatural things at the school in town. It's not a secret that he is a good magician, So you could wait until he is moving about here." He said, looking more into the book. "Still, some of these books are somewhat accurate. They are not perfect, of course. It would be unwise to sell instruction booklets on magics to anyone who walks in. I've found Humans to be....reckless with them." Well, it was true. Almost all of the students in the school were to lean how to use their powers in some way, shape, or form. And teenage humans...By Zeras, they were strange. He wasn't saying he was not either, nor his mother's people, but....Sometimes humans from this world were strange. Very strange. And Creepy. |

"Oh, I was enrolled at the school, I'm not sure but I believe I have Supernatural Studies as one of my classes." Lucidus smiled, something good would be coming from going to the school at least he hoped that it would be good. "I havn't met that many people who practice magic in this world yet, but from the sounds of it a lot of them do it recklessly, so I can understand why the real ones wouldn't be there, it does make it a bit annoying though." Lucidus wondered how reckless some of the people would be. Eventually Lucidus decided that he would wait until later and then go find the owner of the store. Curiosty was getting the best of him so he asked. "Are you a magic user?" Lucidus guess that he was if he was looking for a book on the subject, but that was merely a guess and he wasn't completely sure whether or not he was. It would be entertaining to meet another magic user. |

"Technically, I am. I have only be studying for one year." He said, raising up one hand. He was instantly surrounded by a spherical barrier, constructed from Hexagons. Just as quickly as it formed, it vanished again, as if it was never there. "I am more of a swordsmen. I seek to expand my magical skills, to be better equipped for whatever dangers happen in this world." He said, explaining his interest in the limited magics he could get. " What sort of magic do you use?" He asked, curious. The definitions of magic varied from world to world. What one world called science another might call magic, or vice versa. Half the things people in Hyakuji used would be considered magic of the highest caliber, and they were basic machines... |

Lucidus watched as Meglumar demonstrated his magic a barrier, that would be a useful tactic against his own kind of magic depending on how much that barrier could stop. "That's a very useful abillity, if you can time it right you get both offense and defense. Very impressive." Lucidus stated as just something he observed. When Meglumar asked what kind of magic he used Lucidus was more then happy to oblige the question. "My magic is called Heaven's Magic." Lucidus conjured his spirit bow and at the same time Fenrus was summoned and sat beside Lucidus. Fenrus was at least twice as big as any normal wolf possibly larger. "Did, you really have to summon me just to showcase your powers?" Fenrus said somewhat annoyed. Lucidus chuckled before replying "You havn't been out for ages, so get over it." Fenrus seemed to shake his head before looking over at Meglumar. Lucidus turned back to Meglumar and continued on. "Fenrus here is my spirit, we fused spirits together a few years ago on my home world, He's rather well behaved." Fenrus walked over to Meglumar and sniffed around him. "His spirit is pure, impressive." Lucidus sighed. "You don't have to go and talk to everyone, you know that right." Fenrus walked back to Lucidus not apparently caring. |

This person's magic was called heaven's magic? Was it based on the divine? Apparently not. He summoned a bow and a beast, much to Meglumar's surprise. "Im...pressive." He responded, as he was told about the nature of this beast. Meglumar nodded in acknowledgement, looking a bit tense. In Meglumar's world, canine like animals were vicious hellbeasts who could destroy entire towns in packs. Seeing this one made him very tense. "Ah...Thank you..." He said to the talking wolf thing. He then turned back to Lucidus. "I am not sure summoning weapons or large animals in shops such as this is permissible in this sort of a world." He was partly saying that because he was freaked out by the hellbeast lookalike, and partially because if some of the more normal people walked in, they wouldn't be too freaked out. Granted, this was Hyakuji, anyone who walked in would not be frightened at all, but....still.... |

Meglumar complimented on Lucidus's powers somewhat positively, Lucidus felt good about it not a lot of people often complimented his powers. Mostly because so many people in his world had their own kind of powers and they often liked to talk about all their own powers instead. Granted that Meglumar's response was more suprised then positive but Lucidus considered it close neough to the same thing. Fenrus stood sitting there as Meglumar thanked him for his words. The giant winged wolf nodded at Meglumar saying "Your Welcome." When Meglumar pointed out that the summoning of weapons and large animals would be seen as extremely strange Lucidus nodded. "Actually, I never thought about that, I thought it could be okay but this store is quite small." After that comment his bow disappated and the wolf disappated into little globes of light which went into Lucidus's palm. Lucidus turned back to Meglumar after the little globes fused back into his hand, he wanted to discuss something that his curiosty had led to before. "Since your language seems to suprise you so much can i assume that you arn't from this world either, However this is just an assumption, if i'm wrong don't feel insulted or anything." |
