Fortunately for Daisaku, he wasn't looking directly into the piercing flash of light that the creature emitted the very instant his punch made contact. However, while he managed to escape the blinding effects of the blast, he was caught enough that he was momentarily stunned. On its own, this wouldn't be much of a problem, but the flash also sent waves of intense heat surging through Daisaku's body. Acting entirely on instinct, the boy pushed off the creature with his legs, getting some distance between himself and his opponent to give him a few seconds to recuperate. Despite its impressive defense, a near-direct hit from a Spiral Warrior was still good for staggering the immense creature. In this regard, Daisaku was quite lucky, because he would most certainly have taken a second heavy hit if he hadn't caused his opponent to hesitate.

As it stood, he only had to deal with the pain caused by the heat flowing through him. Of course, tenacity might as well have been the name of Daisaku's fighting style. Despite being forced into a hasty retreat by the attack, he managed a last second, mid-air recovery and landed in a kneeling position- one arm rested on his knee- with little more than an agitated glare and an equally annoyed scowl. Seeing that Jameson had taken out some sort of firearm and was making an attempt at keeping the creature at bay, Daisaku slowly rose to his feet and drew in a deep breath. While he could have rushed in to try again, he didn't want to waste the valuable time that Jameson was buying him.

"Get back, carefully think over what you can and can't do against a foe like this!" He shouted. He was absolutely right, of course. Even if Daisaku were to put all of his currently-active Spiral Energy into striking the beast down with one massive blow, the resulting burst of radiation stood a decent chance of seriously injuring himself or Jameson. Then again, they were both, in their current states, far more durable than the average human being...but there was no telling what its range would be. True, its range and power might not even have been dependent on the initial attack for all Daisaku knew, but if even one bystander were caught in the crossfire- well, that wasn't something that the Spiral Warrior even wanted to think about.

Though only a few seconds had passed while Daisaku contemplated the situation, his mind was abuzz with activity. His powers, as he had lamented numerous times in the past, weren't exactly suited to complex strategy. Certainly, he could trade blows with the best of them; in fact, he could do that and win. However, there wasn't much he could do except hit incredibly hard and move incredibly fast. Actually... He began inwardly, considering the techniques he had at his disposal. His train of thought was momentarily interrupted when he felt a strange force gradually siphoning some of his Spiral Energy. Daisaku looked up to see the creature looming over him despite Jameson's covering fire. His claw was raised threateningly, glowing with what he presumed to be the energy he had absorbed from the two of them. However, the boy merely continued scowling defiantly.

"You wanna take my Spiral Power?" He asked, clenching his fists. "Be my guest, I've got plenty to spare!" Just as the claw began its downward swoop, Daisaku unleashed a second burst of Spiral Energy for the sole purpose of spiting the creature who tried to take it from him. Unfortunately, this momentary recharge was enough of a distraction for Daisaku that he didn't have quite enough time to evade the attack. Though he leaped back and out of the way, the claw struck him in the torso, slicing his shirt open and giving him several cuts across his chest. However, he did manage to avoid a direct hit, leaving him to suffer only superficial wounds.

Daisaku landed beside Jameson and was finally able to complete his plan. "Jameson, I'm not entirely sure, but I think I might have an idea." He said. "It might even be a good one. Soften him up, but on my mark, I want you to hold your fire."

As the beast ignored Jameson's assault and moved into to attack Daisaku Jameson was forced to abandon his safe radius and move in. He used the more powerful single shot mode of the Skull Magnum to blast the beast's hand out of the way while he rapidly moved in between the boy and the beast, not sure whether or not he should trust the plan he knew nothing about.

On the one hand he didn't know the kid very well and the entire sum of his 'tactical skill' until now could be best described as 'rush in and punch it.' Not exactly a Patton-Esque display of mastery over the ideas of tactical fighting. Even so the kid claimed to have an idea and Jameson wasn't coming up with much other than standing back and blasting him. He'd like to get more information but discussing it was only going to ruin any shot at surprise they had. For now he would just have to give the boy the benefit of the doubt.

Boy that sure was tough.

Either way Jameson decided to do as told.. soften the enemy up. He clicked his Bat Memory and attached it to the Skull Magnum charging up Bat Shooting. A special super attack combining the Bat Shot camera and the Skull Magnum to become a highly focused piercing shot. He scanned over the foe for a weak looking spot and..

~~~~
The monster changed targets, rushing in towards Jameson whom kept blasting him. He held out his claws, releasing blasts of high energy and heat. His 'solar flare'. It had the special bonus effect of interfering with electronics due to it's warping of electromagnetic fields.
~~~~~

Jameson tucked and rolled. his gun shot sparks violently. Jameson cursed and dropped the gun before being swept back by a plume of flames. He roared in pain as he was tossed aside like a rag doll..

~~~~~
Star Dopant moved moved, He sent out a powerful swipe of his claw towards Daisaku, this swipe sent out three columns of intense fire, which immediately turned the concrete underfoot into magma with it's intensity. All three headed for the boy whom was now without anyone between him and it.
Daisaku waited patiently for the ideal moment to strike- not at all something he was accustomed to doing in the middle of a fight, needless to say. He did, however, make sure to keep at least one eye on Jameson in case he needed to step in and get him out of trouble. He had to give the detective credit for having some degree of faith in his idea, given the spectacular lack of tactical prowess he had displayed in the previous two fights. Daisaku was all but convinced that he would have to simply find a solid opening on his own over the course of the battle. The fact that Jameson had decided to actively work to try and score him a decent opportunity was most fortunate. Still, he knew that he wouldn't be able to wait it out much longer.
The plan itself inspired a slight twinge of doubt even in Daisaku, mostly due to how simplistic it was. While it, as far as he could tell, took advantage of what appeared to be a possible weakness in the creature's defense, it still basically came down to Daisaku being fast and strong enough to pull it off. Going solely off the knowledge the Spiral had at the moment, it appeared valid, but he certainly didn't want Jameson's solo effort to go to waste. Even so, the boy had no choice but to get every last bit of doubt out of his system. If he was caught up in the "what if"s, "could have"s, and "if only"s, he definitely wouldn't have been able to summon enough Spiral Power to even dent the creature's nigh impregnable armor. It was his raw power that would see his plan through, so he needed every bit he could get at the moment.
Daisaku would have to do this quickly, though, because it wasn't long before Jameson found himself caught up in a roaring plume of fire sent his way by the massive creature. He let out a furious cry of pain as he was thrown to the side, immediately inspiring Daisaku to take action. Then again, he didn't really have much choice in the matter, because the duo's monstrous opponent chose to zero in on Daisaku after casting Jameson aside. As it lumbered toward the Spiral Warrior, it gave a mighty swing of its claw, releasing a trio of pillars made entirely of fire. They swiftly tore across the ground, melting the concrete behind them and leaving tiny streams of magma in their wake. It was time for Daisaku to spring into action.
Pushing off the ground with his weight shifted to the left, the student disappeared from sight due to the incredible speed with which he traveled. He appeared roughly the same distance away from his opponent, but having gotten himself safely out of harm's way. The flaming columns traveled harmlessly past where Daisaku once was, leaving the beast to search for its speedy adversary's new location. However, this was just what Daisaku was hoping for. The very second he touched down on solid ground, he released a second burst of Spiral Energy and once again accelerated to the point of invisibility.
Daisaku reappeared in mid-air before the creature, one leg raised and compressed much like a spring. From here, the Spiral Warrior acted entirely on reflex to minimize the time it would take him to pull off his strategy. With all of his might, he thrust his leg out in a furious side kick, striking the beast directly in its center of mass. However, his plan didn't stop there. With his superhuman reaction time, Daisaku made his escape the precise instant he felt his leg fully extend, whether it made contact with its target or not. As he kicked out, he unleashed a third burst of Spiral Energy to augment his speed as well as increase the force released by the strike. Again, the fighter was propelled faster than the eye could trace, but this time, he was doing so in an attempt to get away from the creature. With any luck, he would be able to deal his damage and escape the resulting blast of radiation.
The beast slid back from the impact of the kick. It's hid exploded open, ripped apart by the force of the impact. However slowly the flames that burned underneath it's hide burned across the wound before turning back into flesh. While it still showed obvious pain, the impact still wasn't enough to break it's hide in any significant way. The worst part was that the creature seemed to shrug it off shortly after. Whatever this thing was made out of it was armored well. But that made sense. It was powered by the stars themselves!
~~~~

Jameson drug himself to his feet as he ground his teeth together. This was getting serious. If that attack couldn't break through then Jameson's super kick would likely meet the same fate. They were going to have to figure out how to force their powers to work in conjunction in such a way as to break through this monster's tough hide. But how? All he had was a kick, they couldn't kick the exact same spot or even if he shot it the likelihood was low..

~~~~
The creature drew it's arms in, gathering heat and power. It lowered it's head before the energy turned into a radiant glow around it. Finally all at once it exploded outwards in a radiating blast of the most intense flames yet. Incinerating the area outwards in a spherical fashion, and all of this was done in one massive shockwave that was over in an instance. The only warning was his roar- "SUPERNOVA!"
He panted heavily, his body had turned dark and most of it's brilliance was gone. IT had clearly sunk a huge portion of it's energy into that attack..
~~~~~

Jameson flew backwards from the blast. His armor burned away on his arms and legs, his flesh badly burnt as well. But he managed to keep the henshin from dispelling. He slammed into the ground rolling. The pain was more intense than ever. He was only barely able to keep conscious.. however something occurred to him. If he could apply reassure to the creature.. strain it's defenses to their limits.. the other boy could break them..

He had to get up first though.. Which might take a minute...

Daisaku sighed in frustration as his attack failed to do more than cause superficial damage to the creature. Its defenses seemed nearly impregnable, not to mention designed specifically to irritate the young Spiral Warrior. He landed several meters away from the beast and defiantly stared it down as it regenerated the armor that had been blown away by his attack within moments. Despite the apparent gravity of the situation, however, he wasn't anywhere near ready to give up. The failure of his previous plan did as little to diminish the boy's spirits as Daisaku had done to damage the beast's armor. Rather, he simply regrouped and prepared to strike again with renewed determination. As his resolve gradually became stronger, his Spiral Power also began to show a slight increase subtly denoted by his eyes glowing brighter with each passing second.

As it were, his timing couldn't have been better. Just as he began to rise to a more adequate output of Spiral Energy, Daisaku's gargantuan foe prepared what seemed to be its most powerful attack yet. Crossing its arms and lowering its head, the beast momentarily curled up and gathered together simply massive reserves of energy. This power surged visibly through its body, causing it to glow with what may as well have been the intensity of a star. The Spiral knew enough to prepare himself for the oncoming assault, though he had no idea what, exactly, he was up against. All that he had figured out thus far was that his adversary's power was somehow linked to fire or, in a more general sense, heat and radiation. The possibilities were virtually endless.

The nature of this attack was unveiled when the creature let out a deafening battle cry. "SUPERNOVA!" His voice boomed and echoed through the surrounding area as it unleashed a sphere of searing hot flames. It expanded outward, incinerating all that stood in its path, leaving Daisaku without much time to react. So, forced to hastily throw together a plan of action, he did what he always did when faced with an unknown challenge; he punched it really hard. Focusing his Spiral Energy into his hand, Daisaku went through the procedure that would usually result in him shooting off a projectile. His fist was engulfed in what appeared to be a brilliant green fire, but rather than launching it without a second thought, the Spiral Warrior held onto it until the very last second.

Pretty impressive... He mused nonchalantly to himself before making a charge directly into the oncoming flames. "...But let's see which of our hearts burns hotter!" Daisaku shouted, seeming to throw a punch right at the shock wave itself. However, the very instant before making contact, Daisaku released the energy blast he had been storing in an attempt at blowing straight through the wall of fire that had been placed before him. The result was a small explosion at the epicenter of the collision, obscuring the Spiral Warrior until the smoke it had left behind cleared.

Sure enough, there was Daisaku- burned and with singed clothes, but standing nonetheless. In fact, that appeared to be a point of pride for the boy, judging by the cocky smirk on his face. It was as though he were ridiculing the behemoth with the fact that, despite visible injuries, he had survived the best that it could throw at him. "Is that the best you can do?!" Daisaku demanded, taking in a deep breath and tightening up his stance. Of course, immediately after issuing this taunt, he coughed a few times. Still, he was on his feet, and that was what counted. "And to think, I was starting to get worried!" He looked around to see how Jameson had fared and, to his visible concern, saw that the detective was rather badly wounded. Though he was making an effort to rise to his feet, the super sleuth would likely need a moment to compose himself. Hm...I can do that... Daisaku thought confidently.

"Sit tight, buddy, I can keep this punk busy!" He called out reassuringly and gave his partner a thumbs up before dashing off to face his foe yet again. This time, his objective was to, above all else, keep the creature from focusing on Jameson until he was able to recover. So, the Spiral circled around his target in something of a strafing maneuver, rapidly firing projectiles of Spiral Energy as he traveled. Hopefully, his speed and aggression would be enough to keep it at bay for the minute or so that Jameson would need to get back on his feet and jump back into the fray.

The beast shielded itself against the blasts by raising it's radiant power, but it was obviously still regenerating energy and as such the enemy seemed to take the blows at just under their full force. It slowed up, no longer able to shrug off the attacks. but already it's body was beginning to restore it's glow. It seemed the use of this power had the negative of creating a window of near-powerlessness.

This window could be dangerous to it except that the ability was so powerful that it forced his enemies back away as well. This was the counter to the weakness of the power. It all came down to endurance and timing. If they wanted to use that window they'd have to endure the 'killing move'.

Even so that window was closing. Now at roughly half-power it rushed in towards him sending a fist down, meanwhile it's other arm sent a slash outwards creating a brief wall of flames, and they were now in the back end of the alley... A wall behind, a claw from above, the beast in front! This was his chance to create an impassible fortress that would keep this mousy quick boy from dodging!

The first thing Daisaku noticed about his current situation was that the creature seemed to be taking more damage from his projectiles than it had been when Jameson had opened fire on it earlier. He quickly pieced together what little information he had and deduced that, while in the process of recovering from Daisaku's prior attack, the beast's overall defense was reduced to a mere fraction of its normal value. What this meant for the intrepid young Spiral Warrior was that he had been given a golden opportunity to strike the killing blow or, failing that, deal enough damage that finishing it off later would be a significantly easier task. Unfortunately, unlike the bosses in any video-game worth its salt, this monster possessed basic common sense. That is to say, it not only made an effort to guard its weak point, it was truly going all-out. Of course, to a boy as confident as Daisaku, that only meant that he would have to bring his "A game".

The second thing that occurred to the fighter was that, in his attempt to keep the creature away from Jameson in his moment of incapacitation, Daisaku had managed to get himself backed into a corner. He was trapped with his back to a wall at the end of the alley, and his massive opponent was approaching ominously. Despite possessing the agility to evade its strikes, he was at a severe disadvantage in such a cramped battlefield. Worse still, it was growing smaller with each passing second as the monster drew closer. This initially made Daisaku a bit uneasy, but closer examination of the circumstances surrounding the confrontation made at least one more thing clear; it was now just Daisaku and his opponent. So, looking resolute as ever, the boy clenched his fists and stood his ground. That his back was against the wall made absolutely no difference. As was always the case for any decent Spiral Warrior, he had no choice but to move forward.

The beast's claw came crashing down on Daisaku, locking him into a head-on confrontation pitting his own brute strength against his opponent's. However, if there was one area where Daisaku truly shined, it was raw power. The boy pushed off the ground and attacked his opponent's claw with a truly ferocious uppercut, simultaneously launching himself high into the air. Despite possessing a huge advantage in terms of size, the behemoth was immediately overpowered by the young man. Its claw was forced back by the overwhelming force of Daisaku's uppercut, momentarily throwing it the creature off-balance and leaving the boy unimpeded as he flew several meters above his adversary's head. At the height of his jump, Daisaku raised his leg straight up as though attempting to hit a target at eye level and glared fiercely at the oversized member of the Gaia Memory Distribution. When, at last, he began to descend, Daisaku brought his leg crashing down in an attempt to strike the creature with a devastating axe kick aided by the downward momentum of his fall.

The beast guarded itself with both arms. It didn't even try to counter attack this time. The kick impacted hard, but it seemed some of his defensive power was restoring. He moved backwards and tried to create distance. however as soon as he did a blast of localized heat around him finally restored him to normal. His power had returned. And with it his very deadly true potential..

~~~
Jameson drug himself to his feet. He was letting his body dictate too much.. He was being weak. He had stuff to do, people to protect, and a city to save! He couldn't just lay around in the dirt. He pulled the memory from his belt and slowly drug himself to his feet. Every time it really mattered Jameson had always come up a little short of grasping the true happy ending. But that had changed. It had changed, right? He wanted it to change..
He wanted to write the ending himself! To create one he could feel happy about.
A voice appeared in Daisaku's head. "I've got a plan, but it's risky. We need to force him to use that attack again first.. Then you'll do like you did last time and create an opening through the blast. After that i'll immobilize it and you can use the killing blow.. That's the plan! But in order for us to force him to use that attack we need to apply one hundred percent pressure! We've got to fight using everything we have until he feels so overwhelmed that he can't fight back! Then i'm sure he'll resort to that again!"
"Henshin!" Jameson roared slamming his memory into his belt, once more transforming into Kamen Rider Skull. He slid his foot back and raised his fists in front of him. Pain could be ignored, weakness be damned! He was going to kick this bastard's ass back into the stone ages!
"Sorry for the delay, but it's finally here! The debut of the real Jameson B. Willicott! The real Kamen Rider Skull! I don't stop, I can't stop, I WON'T STOP, TIL' IT'S CASE CLOSED!" He fired a burst of shots, dashing into melee before throwing a powerful punch, radiation and heat be damned! This was the climax! He wasn't going to hold back!
Daisaku's kick collided with the beast's crossed arms, leaving the boy shocked that his furious assault had failed to do any appreciable damage. The earth shook from the sheer force of the impact, and a ring of debris expanded around the two combatants, but it seemed the creature's impregnable defenses were beginning to return to it. However, once the dust from the attack had settled, Daisaku's opponent began moving backwards in an attempt to put some distance between himself and the increasingly-powerful Spiral Warrior. To the energetic teenager, this meant that he finally had him on the ropes or had at least discovered the threshold of power required to legitimately threaten him. Unfortunately, what the juggernaut's retreat really meant was that he was preparing to complete the restoration of his powers. Indeed, the second he was a safe distance away from Daisaku, his body was engulfed in a sudden burst of flame, signifying his armor's return to full strength.
"So that's how you wanna play, huh?!" Daisaku called out, still appearing ineffably optimistic even in the face of such bleak odds. In fact, the apparent difficulty of the battle ahead was only making the Spiral stronger with each passing second. Just as the massive creature had experienced a significant boost in power, so, too, did its resolute adversary. "I got you outta that armor before, I'll do it again." As per his usual pre-battle ritual, Daisaku cracked his knuckles and simply adopted a loose fighting stance in preparation for the inevitable clash. However, just as Daisaku took his initial step forward for yet another frontal assault, he caught sight of Jameson slowly rising to his feet in spite of his injuries. He was still in obvious pain, causing the fighter's expression to immediately change to one of concern.
"I've got a plan, but it's risky." Daisaku paused as Jameson attempted to communicate telepathically with him. "We need to force him to use that attack again first.. Then you'll do like you did last time and create an opening through the blast. After that I'll immobilize it and you can use the killing blow...That's the plan! But in order for us to force him to use that attack we need to apply one hundred percent pressure! We've got to fight using everything we have until he feels so overwhelmed that he can't fight back! Then i'm sure he'll resort to that again!"
Fortunately, Jameson soon proved that he was still more than capable of returning to the fray, setting Daisaku's mind at ease and allowing him to completely devote himself to the beast's defeat. One hundred percent pressure, huh...? That's all? He asked sarcastically in his own head, giving an outward smirk at the prospect of bringing the fight to an end. As he readied himself for the first phase of Jameson's plan, his determined partner made the first move and fired a volley of shots directly at the monster. However, in the process of striking from afar, the detective was constantly moving closer and closer in a clear attempt at initiating a melee of sorts. Daisaku decided to follow suit.
Without so much as a word or a moment's pause on his part, the Spiral Warrior practically launched himself at his target, fist drawn back in a display of pure, righteous fury. In his wake remained a trail of green Spiral Energy taking the vague, blurred shape of semi-transparent afterimages before dissipating moments later. The radiation that would surely result from this foolhardy assault wasn't so much as a blip on Daisaku's radar; he was focused only on striking the beast down right then and there. He and Jameson reached their destination a mere fraction of a second apart, throwing simultaneous punches at the creature.
The creature was forced back, slowly but surely. Each powerful strike from the two warriors on the offense sent it skidding backwards, inch by inch they pushed forward. Their combined efforts were like a ballet. Each gracefully striking, parrying, and forcing their way forward. Their enemy was powerful, no doubt, but the power was useless against the relentless assault of the two enemies forcing their way with reckless abandon.
The creature had no real options. He gathered his power just like last time. Starting with a swell of brilliant light and then continuing this with his heat rising exponentially. All the signs were there. This was going to be another blast of it's most powerful technique. The one that had nearly killed them both just moments before. It was none other than the Star dopant's Supernova.
Jameson clenched his teeth as he leaped backwards. He panted heavily. His arms beneath the armor were burned and sore. His eye was screaming in pain from the constant brilliant flashes of light. It was a wonder he hadn't gone blind yet. But they'd done it. "O... Okay.. Just like last time create an opening.. As soon as you break through his attack i'll grab him and you can finish the job. This is straight forward! All that matters is this strike! If this fails it's over!"
Jameson meant that very seriously. He'd put EVERYTHING into that assault. He was already pushed to his limits before this had even begun but the burns he'd recieved during and the damage he'd taken had ensured he'd be spending some time in a bed under bandages after all this was over. Any more than one more attack might even be the end of him.
When one gambled they eventually reached a point where they had to go all in on a risky hand in order to eliminate an opponent. Playing it safe and gambling were polar opposites. You couldn't succeed at one if you were still trying the other. You either had to go all in or leave the table. That was it. It was just as simple as that. Well... it was time for Jameson to go all in.
The creature released his energy, a swell of superheated energy and blinding light exploded outwards, incinerating everything in it's path. Including the boys if Daisaku couldn't do something soon.
"Aces or twos, the hands on the table!" Jameson said readying his gun.
The two fighters successfully pushed the creature back with a level of synchronization that could only be expected from a meticulously choreographed performance. Without so much as a second thought to the continuation of their relentless assault, each combatant danced around their opponent's attacks in a lethal display of finesse and agility. Daisaku, for his part, was at last fighting once more with the intensity and immortal determination of a true Spiral Warrior. The rust of a comparatively peaceful lifestyle at last shaken off, the boy appeared as a mere blur in each of his motions, whether it was a nimble dodge or a ferocious strike. It was clear that he intended to fight for every inch he could get from once-intimidating beast, and in that regard, Daisaku saw a great deal of success. Even his massive adversary was nothing before the might of the two students.
Truly backed into a corner, it quickly became apparent to Daisaku that another Supernova was all bit imminent. Soon after the two secured their dominance and the tides of combat turned thoroughly in their favor, the familiar glow of excess radiation appeared once more. Though it had nearly spelled doom for the two young men when first used, the third year student could no longer be burdened by such petty complications as fear in any shape or form. Indeed, despite- or perhaps because of- the fight's difficulty, Daisaku was beginning to feel as though he were finally making legitimate progress as a Spiral Warrior. At the moment, his thought process was "It didn't kill me before, so why should it this time?". Despite the obvious logical fallacy, it was more than enough to keep him standing his ground.
"What, the same technique a second time?!" Daisaku demanded in a completely sardonic yet undeniably hotblooded tone of voice. As he shouted his criticism of the creature's fighting style, he simultaneously leaped back and ignited his left hand with a surge of Spiral Energy. Yet again, it was engulfed in the familiar, green ember characteristic of Daisaku's power source. Just as he'd done before, however, he chose to hold on to the energy until the sphere of fire was practically right on top of him. Carefully timing the launch of his projectile, Daisaku shot into the very heart of the flames and, rather than run away, leaped in after the blast. As a result, the damage was mitigated yet far from neutralized.
When the Spiral landed, he momentarily collapsed to a kneeling position but was quick to brush himself off and push himself back to a standing position. "Pretty unoriginal, guy. I don't even have any special attacks and I still try mix it up a little." He taunted, wagging his finger and smirking as he drew in a sharp breath to refocus himself. Certainly, it was a destructive technique, but unlike his partner, Daisaku had the advantage of having gone into the battle relatively fresh. Due to these previously-endured injuries, the boy could see that the detective was beyond even his second wind; and of course, Daisaku wasn't exactly in the best of shape, himself. Jameson wasn't kidding when he said that the fight depended on their next assault.
"You got it. One opening coming up!" He announced. With that, he was off. Daisaku disappeared from plain sight and, briefly moving with such speed that the world around him seemed to move at a snail's pace, lunged for the beast. He became visible not even three meters from his target and briefly touched down on the ground. Without a second's delay, Daisaku pushed off with both legs and soared into the creature at a perfect forty-five degree angle. As he flew, he pulled his fist back and threw it toward the beast's face with all of his might, hoping to score a direct enough hit that Jameson would be able to move in to incapacitate the target.
The blast impacted the point, hitting it with a massive force. Possibly even greater than the first. But even if it burned them, even if it singed them and hurt them, neither of the duo could afford to loose here. The blast hit his counter and eventually broke apart, splitting beyond the boy whom created a wedge into it.
The boy rushed in to attack it now that it was in it's weakened state. The Star dopant had once more lost his radiance. It threw up it's arms, once more going on the defense. Just like the previous time the attack hit for a greater damage but still nothing lethal. No, they'd have to strike together in order for them to score a killing blow.
Jameson attached the Stag Phone to his SkullMagnum. He loaded in the memory. "STAG" It announced as it came to life. "MAXIMUM DRIVE!" Jameson grinned broadly. "STAG CRUSHER!" The gun formed two massive stag-beetle pincers and reached around the creature, pinching it in with a sudden clamp.
The creature groaned throwing it's arms up in defense. Resisting the crushing forced of the pincer. However all of it's regenerative power and strength was going into countering this attack. If it were just Jameson it'd be a failure. Luckily...
"NOW, GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT! THE FINISHING BLOW!" Jameson roared.
Daisaku, catching sight of Jameson's next move, pushed off of the beast's raised arms and launched himself back through the air to put some distance between the two. He soared over the pincers as they rocketed toward their target with flawless precision. Despite its best efforts to counter the restraints, it was helpless to free itself in such a weakened state. With a mighty clamp, they locked into place around their victim, leaving him helpless to defend against the pair's next- and hopefully final- assault. His plan officially set into motion, Jameson shouted for Daisaku to deal the finishing blow and end the fight once and for all. This command was issued just as the Spiral touched down on the destroyed city street, and of course, he was happy to oblige.
"Right." He gave a swift nod and thumbs-up to his battered partner. For just a moment, Daisaku closed his eyes in what appeared to be nothing more than a slightly drawn-out blink. However, when they next opened, they appeared to shimmer with a certain radiance not often seen even in the likes of a Spiral Warrior. Though green eyes were characteristic of his transformation, Daisaku seemed to have achieved a level of power one step above his previous state, and his eyes gleamed with that much more vibrancy in accord. "Time to dazzle the stage!" He declared as a brilliant aura of ever-shifting colors surrounded his body, giving Daisaku a look of immaculate grace even in at the tail end of such a furious battle.
With a heavy sigh, Daisaku rose to a perfectly upright position, shoulders back and eyes locked with his opponent. He seemed to exude a certain charisma despite his clearly battered physical condition and visible injuries sustained throughout the fight. At last, Daisaku held his arm out parallel to the ground, clenched his hand into a fist, and touched it to his chest. "Star Sword! Emeraude!" He shouted with enough valor to send chills down one's spine. Then, as though pulling out concentrated fighting spirit from his blazing heart itself, Daisaku generated a green blade shaped, as per its name, like a star might appear against the night sky. This sword, named by the Spiral Warrior, grew in power according to his own resolve, and at the moment, it may as well have had the sun backing it up.
"Now...take this!" He cried out, lunging for his adversary without a second thought. "MY FINISHING MOVE! GALACTIC...SLASH!" Daisaku closed the distance between himself and his opponent in the blink of an eye, leaving behind not so much as a single after-image. His speed was such that a trail of Spiral Energy was left in his wake, burning up the wrecked street just as well as the Dopant's fire had done earlier. With both hands on his sword, Daisaku held it over his shoulder and let loose a furious battle cry. He swung it down on the gargantuan with all his might, hoping to cleave it in twain with the physical manifestation of his determination. The battle would be decided by the success of this assault, but in the Spiral Warrior's mind, failure was neither an option nor a possibility.
The creature was cleaved directly down by the slash. It's body went stiff before shattering away revealing the man whom had first appeared. From his body a shattered memory ejected and landed, smoking, on the ground. The battle was finally over. The combined force of the attacks was too much for it's defensive or regenerative properties. And wit that.. the battle was done..
Jameson, once again reverted to his normal form, staggered forward dragging the man to his feet. He slapped cuffs on him and tossed him against a wall, his chest heaving in exhaustion. "And with that.. it's case closed.." He said clenching his fist and decking the guy across the face to knock him out cold.
It was a LONG time until Daisaku and Jameson could talk again. Police statements, emergency medical care. Bandages, salves, minor stitches. Desperately needed hydration and a change of clothes all came first. The conversation ran the gambit from Blaming Jameson to congratulating him to asking if Daisaku was another of 'his kids', to which Jameson, grinning broadly, replied "not yet!"
Jameson stood, leaning on his walking cane heavily. He limped over to the boy. The jumping around and intense fighting had inflamed his knee even worse than usual. But then his whole body hurt so it wasn't like it was that much different if his knee managed to hurt a little more than the rest. He stood in front of him grinning, he was practically mummified.
"That was an unusually tough one. Typically I can take em' solo." Jameson said with a laugh. "They're called Dopants. They're people who use a special object that resembles a USB to turn themselves into monsters. Unfortunately it also drives them crazy. These dealers sell them to kids or people with grudges and let them ravage the city. It's my job to fight them.." He gripped his fedora and tipped it down. "As... Hyakuji.. no.. the world's number one super sleuth I make it my job to track them down and end their evil grip on the city!"
Daisaku was far from interested in dealing with the natural repercussions of engaging in such a destructive battle in the middle of the city, nor was he particularly well-equipped to. In the past, such fights had meant that it was time for Daisaku to pack his bags and continue on his aimless pilgrimage of self-discovery. Fortunately for him, Jameson seemed content to do most of the talking, at least, and indeed, the officials appeared much more interested in talking to him about what had just transpired. Daisaku did, however, take note of the fact that they were quite eager to discover just how the two were affiliated. They mentioned something about Daisaku being one of Jameson's "kids", which, of course, piqued the young man's curiosity. So, he absent-mindedly answered whatever was asked of him, paying more attention to the conversation his partner was having.
As Jameson stood up to approach the Spiral Warrior, he immediately noticed that his knee appeared to be in particularly bad shape, even compared to the rest of his injured body. This was to be expected, and though Daisaku didn't speak up, he instinctively winced as the detective made his way over. He wished he would have let Daisaku make the trek; at least he had gone into the fight without prior injuries, let alone a crippling handicap. While Daisaku had more than a few scrapes and bruises in need of attention, Jameson was practically wrapped from head-to-toe in bandages. Still, there he was, grinning with excitement at having apprehended yet another in what Daisaku could only assume was a long line of marks.
"Dopants...? I've definitely never fought anyone quite like that before...Pretty exciting, actually." The boy immediately perked up, leaping headlong back to the bright side of the situation. "So, I take it that was a pretty high ranking member of this Gaia Memory thing, then, huh? And I'm just gonna go out on a limb and assume that these guys are a pretty considerable threat to this city..." Daisaku mused, resting his chin on his hand in a rather contemplative position. "Alright, then, I guess there's really only one thing to do now. I mean, I know I don't have an awesome title like 'World's Greatest Detective', but Hyakuji's my home now. I'm definitely not gonna let a bunch of superpowered druggies wreck up the place. Jameson, consider me an ally in your never ending quest for justice! Those Dopants won't know what hit'em now that Daisaku Yoshida's on the case!" He declared with a proud grin.
