Behind the grim skull mask helmet, Hajime's expression was equally grim. From the explanation, it seems the situation is at the most dire and they really shouldn't waste their time here too long. But As Hiro-sensei said, everyone was still recovering from the Wo Shing fiasco and that means partaking this mission is a lot more dangerous than it sounds.

Still, in Hajime's mind at least, duty outweighed the fear of the dangers involved: having once been stabbed in the chest and nearly died in one of their failed missions, it made him a far more sterner man than he ever was, if the experience from months of other combat have not. And besides, he didn't do much during the Wo Shing battle to tire him out too much.

Slowly, he raised his hand. "Let me go too," He said. "I'm not tired much and I can fight better without having to ponder too much over a plan. The Hellfire Club is going to get what I've been saving up for them."

It was quite a shock for Seth when everything unfolded in front of him. Truth be told, he understood little about the ley lines or anything like that. But Hiro's explanation was at least enough to tell him that he's going to deal with something that's going to sacrifice hundreds and thousands of innocent lives. Or something like that. Either way, the Hellfire Club was involved. Notorious, heartless, toying with lives like... toys... people dying just like... that...

-----Flash-----

The hospital was in chaos. That was the third time it has happened. What the hell did this?!

"Cel..! Cel!! Please... don't...!"

She couldn't answer. Her breathing was erratic. The hand he was clutching was slowly losing warmth.

It wasn't long before she was declared dead.

-----Flash-----

Seth shook his head to clear the vivid flashback. It was horrible. People all around him dying like bugs... He had been in near-death situations fifty times. He knows how terrible it was, the pain of death.

Without hesitating Seth raised his hand to the air, his face set and said, "I know I'm new and I probably won't be able to help much. But let me go too,"

Ikki watched as Star walked in, his eyes slightly lit up, but something strange happened, his heart didn't do the usual jump that it did when she made her way into his sight. Ikki brought his hand up to his chest feeling his heartbeat, it felt strange to him but not something for him to worried about at the moment.

His attention was then turned to Hiro as he started the mission briefing. Ikki stared at the screen with a fiery passion in his eyes. He hadn't been in Arcadia long, but made sure that he went over the reports for past mission's so while he hadn't encountered the Hellfire Club himself, he knew how powerful they were, and knew they were not to be played with.

As Hiro finished up the mission briefing, Ikki smiled as he looked towards his teacher. " Sensei I didn't just come here to work at the book store and look handsome for the ladies. You asked me to come here to join arcadia, so here I am. Not to mention I'm from Tokyo, so some of my friends could be there. I want to go so I can make sure they don't get hurt." Ikki stated as his voice became somber at the end. He didn't want any of his friends to get hurt, and wanted to make sure that injury or not Hiro would let him go. " So if you can't tell I'm in. I want to go to protect those people." He said as he stepped forward.

======

" Nice speech kid. Have to say I'm in too." Crow stated as he walked into the room, he had made it just in time to hear Hiro's briefing, his mind was racing over a lot of things right now, with all of the WDA's woes, and his own personal problems with Hitomi being back alive and everything, he didn't really understand why he was here.

" Although going all the way to Tokyo seems kinda out of the way. I'm not one to question leadership so count me in. Let's just hope they don't get in here while were gone." He spoke as he leaned againsts the wall looking at everyone who was around. He noticed Selene, and Chizu, but the rest of them where new to him. Well all but Jameson, but he saw Jameson almost everyday so he dosent count.

"Hey, Selene!" The English heiress turned her attention back to Star as the blond photomancer acknowledged her, and had decided to introduce her to this new guy in Arcadia, who thus far appeared to be oldest-looking one in the room, possibly a few years older than either Hiro or Lavender. "Just helping a new member out. Selene, Ryan. Ryan, Selene." The corporate heiress nodded and smiled as Star made her introduction in English.

OOC

Bold text = English

"Right you are, Selene Frostfire's the name," Selene took hold of her dress and acknowledged Ryan with a polite curtsy, the manners she'd learned from dealing with the social and financial elite were not lost even during more casual situations, before looking up at Ryan with a smile as she returned to a neutral stance. "A pleasure to make acquaintance with you, Ryan."

Gesturing to the front where Hiro and Lavender were, Selene decided that first things first would be to let a new Arcadian know who are the ones calling the shots. "That man over there is Tsukasa-sensei... or Hiro Tsukasa if you want a full name. He's the founder and overall in-command of Arcadia," The English heiress said while the leader of Arcadia went through what must be important mission details with Lavender and a bunch of Arcadian officers at the front. "The lavender-haired woman in fatigues is well, Lavender Smith. She's second in-command here and runs the show alongside Tsukasa-sensei."

From where she was standing Selene couldn't make out what Lavender was saying in full, but she managed to catch some words regarding security - it must have been in the light of what happened in the mansion while she was attending Tsukasa-sensei's trial. At least according to what she'd heard from the Arcadians at the mansion headquarters the Hellfire Club managed to breach the mansion's security protocols and launch an attack right within their very own base.

"Looks like our leader is about to begin his briefing, I suppose introductions and formalities would have to be put on hold, Ryan." Selene commented as a large video screen flickered to life, displaying the grisly aftermath of a brutal murder - the dismembered remains of what was once a man. Not a very pleasant sight, the English heiress had to admit as Hiro went through the briefing, something involving a building that was built upon the same site that upon once stood a notorious military prison used to house Japanese war criminals during the American occupation of Japan after the second world war, and a ley line carrying negative energies running straight from Hyakuji to the building's location in Tokyo.

"I know a lot of us still haven't recovered from earlier today but I need to know.... who is willing to go on this mission? We already have a few Wind Operatives in the building acting as shoppers on the lower floors but nothing important has turned up. I'm going to send the usual detachment of five Fire Division members and this time I'm also authorizing all of Prime to head out too. That means Lavender and I will be coming along with Team. If you've got questions I can try to field them but remember we're on borrowed time at this point." As Hiro concluded his briefing he would end things with the usual round of taking questions and looking for members that would volunteer for the mission, looking around for a bit, Selene then raised her hand.

"I'm in, Tsukasa-sensei; to use innocent hostages in their war against us... what the Hellfire Club is doing is simply unpardonable," Selene replied before putting her hand down, indicating that she had no questions to ask.

Lavender simply nodded at Hiro's briefing, her arms still folded across her chest while giving off the air of an exemplary military officer - observant, alert and cool while under fire. Uncrossing her arms to rest one hand by her side and another on her hip. "The possibility of innocents being caught in the crossfire is a real issue here," the elf-like aeromancer began. "But what if we were to evacuate the building through a fire or bomb scare?" Lavender asked, trying to get Hiro's input on a plan of hers that will make sure that the building would be devoid of noncombatants via the use of a Bavarian Fire Drill. "That's all I have to ask."

Lynn tapped her pencil on the desk of the meeting table with a certain tone of impatience made equal parts poignant by the fact that her expression seemed to hold an air of intellectual curiosity and a certain allowance of authority and because she hadn't had a pencil on her when she'd sat down. The tapping seemed to keep time amongst the chatter of people around her and she eyed each of them with a certain idle curiosity, as eager to learn everything she could about each and every one of them as she was for Hiro to arrive and begin the day's festivities. However one small detail did penetrate the din of thought and aura and noise that made her head swivel like a confused owl. Someone had just introduced themselves as Selene Frostfire.

It might have been easy to overlook amongst everyone else's voices but for someone who could just keep up with conversational Japanese, the sweet, sultry sound of English (even the Queen's English) was a welcome one to homesick ears. Lynn's eyes fell lightly on the British beauty, a wonderfully familiar sensation of competitive admiration making her fingers twitch. So that was the conjurer Alastor put so much stock in; no doubt she'd make for an interesting tutor. However before she could bother to make a move, Lynn's thoughts were interrupted by none other than the start of the meeting she'd been so impatient to attend before. Having divined her own fortune somewhere near the start of the day, this irritating twist of irony came as neither a shock nor a welcome pat on the back for having predicted it.

Lynn flipped open a notebook as the meeting got underway, prepared like any good new student to take notes. However her pad remained untouched as the first picture appeared on the screen. It was far more horrible than anything she'd seen in real life. Living in a city with a fairly decent murder rate you hear about this kind of stuff all the time, but Lynn had been far from prepared to see something like that only a few hours into her first day as an Arcadian. Hiro was making kids look at this? No one else seemed to react much to the sight and she looked around anxiously to find someone else with a pained and startled expression to little avail. She quietly lowered her head for a moment, but continued to listen as he went on.

Using magical ley lines to destroy a building full of innocent people. They'd all end up looking like the man in that first picture, it was utterly disgusting to imagine. Still, she wouldn't be much an asset if someone attacked them. Hands went up here and there as people expressed their desire to attend. The more she heard, the harder it was to resist volunteering. Was it the right thing to do? It seemed like it had to be, saving innocent people like that, but would she even be able to do it? Lynn couldn't help but feel like she could only get in the way without more experience. Her head turned suddenly as the sound of Selene's voice went up, offering to take the mission. Lynn had to do it, she couldn't be afraid of new experiences then use a lack of them as an excuse to fail.

"Mr. Tsukasa!" She shouted raising her hand. "I know I'm new here, but I can get those people out quicker than anyone else, I'd be invaluable to the evacuation!" She said confidently and with pride. If anyone could make that many people disappear it was the most talented magician in Vegas.

Jameson leaned back with his arms across his chest. "Hurm.. sounds interesting... You can count me in too.." He glanced around. "Although that makes seven.." He leaned back and exhaled slowly. "I think I'll actually sit this one out." Jameson said thinking it over. He'd recently been overtaxed by various situation.

Besides, the kids needed a chance to stretch their legs and they were in good hands already without him. Lav and Hiro were both on the case. He was always talking about passing the baton to the next generation so he was pretty sure this was a shot to put his money where his mouth was.

In the meantime he'd follow some of the information they had and try and figure out the logic behind of all of this using the books in the scriptorium.. Maybe he'd figure something out but a night of research sounded almost.. nice.

Damn, was he getting old?

"We have met the enemy, and it is non-human." Shad said in a calm, yet hollow voice which vibrated the air around him. "Allow me to join the mission, Hiro-sensei. After meeting the Hellfire Club (and getting set on fire by Roz for some reason), I want to ruin any propect of their future plans. Negative energy and dark magic is one of the things that I trained for when practicing with size magic. If needed, and the members of the Club show up, I will disable their movement provided someone destroys their shield spells."

"Also, I wish to examine these leylines first-hand and determine a proper solution in curing the taint. I cannot allow this second-string Dark Guild to play with the lives of humans like this. Permit my entry and I will show my resolve as a Size Mage in thwarting this wicked scheme." He bowed respectfully, awhile punching his fist into open palm.

"Im absolutely game, You know this Hiro.", Clarissa said with a grin from ear to ear at the briefing she had just received.

This was it! Her time to gather as much information on magic and the paranormal. If she could help innocent people in the process and spend time with her allies and Hiro then even more awesome. Clarissa felt like a little girl in a toy store waiting at the check out counter. She couldn't want to get out onto the field and do her thing. What also peaked Clarissa's interests were the powers she was going to see today from her fellow Arcadians. Oh a good day indeed! Clarissa just needed to keep a clear head and be focused. She couldn't endanger her comrades with a slip-up and she'd be damned if she failed Hiro on her first mission no less.

"If that's alright with you of course.", she finished in a bit more of a hushed tone as she noticed her excitement was showing through her tone of voice.

This Hellfire Club...What was there problem? Giving magic and the supernatural a bad name. She'd make sure they'd suffer for giving people a reason to fear such wonderful things. She wasn't the most experienced in battle but she sure wouldn't let a bunch of two-bit losers take her down. She'd she show them...

"How could they...", Clarissa said with an anger in her eyes as she clenched her fist at the shame this club brought to magic world.

Yeah. It's that obvious.

Star. Between the outfits, the crazy hairstyles, and the unorthodox names, Ryan was doing all he could not to chuckle; not at her, just the situation. Freshman at school; so what, fifteen, sixteen? Cunning for her age, quick on her feet. Someday, with luck, or training, she might be somebody. Charismatic, too; and that was really all you needed in the world. If you're climbing the social, corporate or whatever-ladder-you-choose, it's helpful to have smiling, happy people pulling you up, than having to push and shove and fight your way to the top. She would go places, leaving smiles in her wake. It's better than a bloodtrail. Speaking of which...Goats? He laughed. He listened; he laughed again at the Sailormoon Jab. He had to agree, her uniform wasn't that bad.

Then there was Selene. Someone else who appeared to be young, charismatic, and incredibly informative and helpful. Her curtsy preluded Ryan's bow. Big green eyes. That was the rule; make eye contact long enough distinguish and remember your dialogue partner's eye-color. Old Salesman trick; sometimes it came in handy.
<"Pleasure's all mine, dear.">
Arms folded, he allocated the majority of his weight to one foot and stood asymmetrically, listening, intently, as she filled Ryan in on what was going on. Hiro and Lavender in charge; Check. As the Captain spoke up, the room fell silent. If there was one thing he could say for the young man leading the troops, it was that he could command an audience. He made out 'Oriented later' before the screen popped up. Large screen. Was it technology or magic that drove Arcadia? Who bankrolled it? Teenagers don't come into funds like this unless they perform a few bad deeds. No one working overnights at starbucks is in any shape to buy a sound-activated projector. He shrugged it off. Roll with it; Copy that. The alley he saw reminded him of the alley he'd walked down after being dropped off. After his first murder in Hyukuji. With that charming smile, who would suspect the man around them a convicted felon? It was of no consequence; he didn't flinch at gore; he had seen, and done, worse. Only the thought of having done such things crawled up his spine. Time for that new leaf.

Yadda yadda yadda. Occupied building. Prime for terrorist assault. Leylines coursing through it with ....wait. Ley-lines? Negative Energy? Was That why Grim had cursed him to this rock? He wanted to laugh. Oh well. With that in mind, he listened. Rescue operative. Stop the bad guys, save the hostages [nonethewiser], save the world. All in a day's work. Then the end of Hiro's briefing. And Knox couldn't help but smirk. Curt, to the point; brass tacks sort of stuff. Five-man deploy team, two commanding officers and a few X-factors already present. Regular old militant mission. Hell, the way it was set up, if he didn't know better [which he didn't...] he'd say Arcadia was more Paramilitary than Supernatural - and that suited him just fine.

It was right after that briefing that all Hell broke loose, and Hiro got swarmed like the popular kid in Gym class. 'Ooh, pick me, pick me!'. Everyone wanted a piece of the action. Well, everyone except the man behind him, muttering something about 'sitting one out'. Knox didn't even turn around. He watched people run over with their reasons, their ambitions, their words; their spirits high and hearts on fire. Some of the reasons, he liked; some, not so much; but he found himself mentally categorizing people. Things he would remember, if and when he ever saw people again. Selene - using innocents in the war against us. Unpardonable. Again; above her age and focused on the hostage situation. Then there was Lavender, of course. Evacuation measures. Just watching her was like watching a painting come to still-life. Yeah, that was a pun. Tactician. Cunning. Not someone he'd like to be at odds with anytime in the future.

"I won't be much help, but let me go, too." Knox's eyes turned on the young boy; he fought to keep the daggers in his orbs back. There was so much wrong with the wording, there. Innocent lives at stake and offering to go without being much help. Courage, humility, but a little lack of tact. ...work at the book store and look handsome for the ladies. - Knox smirked. Someone who reminded him of the shit he used to say, ten years ago. It was amusing, in a strange way. Going to protect friends. Viable. Loyal. Maybe a little headstrong, but hey. Classic Hero traits. Now, Shad seemed a bit more tactical. Less of a 'Oh, I want to go, it'll be fun!' and more 'I know what to do; let me help you.' - It was nice. A sorcerer, perhaps? Could he do what he claimed? He seemed a viable option for the mission. If he didn't look like he'd only hit puberty early that morning he'd have put even more faith in him. Then, there was Lynn. She looked dangerously familiar. Had he seen her somewhere? New York City, Boston? She had that aura of the states; but he couldn't place it. Dollars to donuts, she spoke English. Pained at the screen, he'd noticed. Had she never seen gore on television? He shrugged. Not everyone had the stomach for it; if anything, he admired her humanity. And her voice; her proposition. Commanding; and again, focused on hostage-rescue. Confidence. Invaluable. Oh, yeah. She was definitely a US Woman. But God Damnit, where was she from? It was going to bug him until he forgot [in about seven seconds].

It wasn't that Knox had no interest in Sunshine 60. He just didn't make a show of it. Instead, he thought back to what Star had said to him; about uniform enchantment. Really? Just think it? He wanted to laugh; but he didn't. Figured, if he could live three lives at once, he could wear magical clothes. So he closed his eyes, thought about what his uniform might look like, and waited. Maybe he'd just have a white-and-black cloak, like his old one from Grim. Maybe it was the standard uniform he saw a few people in. Hell, maybe he'd come out in a straight-jacket.
But, no. When he opened his eyes and saw the furl of his cuffs; when he pulled down the stark white hood or fingered the metallic breast plate, he knew he was in uniform. For the first time. It took him a whole three seconds to figure out exactly what it was, and then, he really did laugh aloud to himself.

<"You've gotta be kidding me. Tell me I'm not dressed like Ezio."> It didn't help, he already had a hidden blade on his wrist. In front of his face, eying the bracer, he flicked his wrist; and the blade shot out; retracted again. Laughed, again. Oh, this was too good. Too funny. He had become a videogame character. What more could a man ask for? He turned to Star with a trademark smirk.
<"Tell me this isn't nearly as goofy as I think it looks...">

"Well, we've got nothing better to do right now either. Other than some weird rumor about a casino that's been on the streets lately, I don't think we'll be needed yet, so count us in," Hotaru said.
"Are we going to be clearing the building of shoppers, or would that be Wind Division's job? I'd really not like to be stuck there for 72 hours running around saving survivors because the Hellfire Club thought it was a good idea to make a real life Dead Rising - and knowing those bastards, they probably would, too," Otoha chimed in.
"... Must you keep referencing a video game every time we go on a mission?" Hotaru sighed.
"What? Just saying. Speaking of video games..."

The troll turned to Knox and chuckled at his outfit.
"<Just be careful not to do a Leap of Faith in the wrong spot, Signore Ezio. I've had that happen to be once,>" she chuckled. "<Looks like you're new here too. The name's Otoha. And you are?>"

Hotaru sighed as her sister decided to pester someone else. She just stood simply next to Hajime and held his hand for comfort - she had a feeling that this wasn't going to be an easy mission.

Adam stood quietly in the back listening to briefing that Hiro was giving. His arms were crossed as he listened to what Hiro had to say. His good eye looked up at the photos Hiro was showing while his other eye was taking in the image of all of the aura in the room through the eye patch covering it. There were a lot of strong auras in the room some magic in natures others not so much. This group , Arcadia was turning out to be rather interesting.

It had only been a day or two since Adam meet Hiro at the cafe and since then he had joined Arcadia. it seemed liked a group he would fit in to given his abilities and his experiences back in his old world. Going up other worldly threats was just up his ally and with was was being said at this briefing his abilities might be of some user.

Adam listened as every one around him started volunteering for the mission. Adam uncrossed his arms as he looked up at Hiro. " Mr. Tsukasa you can count me in if you wish. "

NICE DRIVE!
"That's an excellent idea, Lavender," Hiro answered about evacuating via a fire scare as he turned to the operators at the consoles behind him, "Contact one of the Wind Operatives and get them on that immediately." Nodding in agreement, calls began to be made to organize the effort. Hopefully, it would get the evacuation started with enough time that nobody would be harmed.

Turning back to the group Hiro quickly sized up the situation among everyone willing. There was never a lack for people eager to work for Arcadia, but in this instance there was the added factor of those who had fought against Wo-Shing. Perhaps this was the day. The time for Arcadia's newer recruits to shine.

"Alright," Hiro continued, "Hajime, you'll be in charge of the team since you've had experience. The rest of Fire Team will be Clarissa, Seth, Ikki and Lynn. I'm also assigning Masamune to Ikki; this is your chance so show everyone what you can do. If anybody wants to take the other gear then request it now and someone will have it ready to send along with us. We need to move right now and get warped there asap. Everyone else, you're welcome to stay here and keep watch on how the mission goes but otherwise dismissed!"

Prime Team
1) Hiro
2) Lavender
3) Eleanor (???/MIA/LOL)

Fire Team
1) Hajime
2) Clarissa
3) Lynn
4) Ikki (Masamune)
5) Seth

"......" Shad's right eye twitched. Not because he was angry, or that he was left out of another mission that suited his knowledge of magical leylines, but because he had gotten dust in his pupil. "Such a pain." He muttered, taking off his thick glasses to rub it right out. He could tell one of the members was eyeing him, judging by looks alone in a rude manner. Ignorant, to say the least. After all, with a bit of size enlargement magic, Shad could turn into a muscular adult quite easily. But that be a complete waste of good mana to begin with.

"In any case, I might as well 'borrow' Excalibur for a while and watch the action awhile eating popcorn and sweets." He said, placing glasses back on once his vision was cleared. "Perhaps I can ask it to make a new pact of sorts, like the almighty King Arthurius did back in the days of old." With that, he went off to acquire the talkish british sword from the Weapons Storage room so he would have someone to talk to awhile Hiro and the other Fire Members face off against the Hellfire club.

Ikki smiled as Hiro assigned Masamune to him. He had wondered if the man would give him a chance to prove himself, and here it was, his time was now, and Ikki would be sure not to mess up. " Don't worry sensei I won't let you down! I promise...." He stated, as his voice trailed off at the end. He glanced to Star with a sigh of sadness, so he wouldn't be going on a mission with her? To be honest it was all probably for the best, wouldn't want him showing off, and getting himself killed.

" Ready to move when you are sensei!" Ikki yelled as he looked to Hiro with a fiery will burning in his eyes.

========

" Well looks like I'm here with Jameson then. Good, cause I'm not in the mood for a fight today." Crow stated as he sat down in a chair, tilting his head back, starting to take a light nap.

" Wake me up when you guys get back. I wanna hear all about it!" Crow stated as he closed his eyes drifting off.

Fine! FINE! I won't help you this time, You're on your own!! V ranted angrily in his head, Seriously pissed off that his opinion mattered little. Seth's not complaining, however. He put his hand down nodding and ready to take on anything.

... (for lack of ways to connect ideas)

He raised his hand again, remembering the talking sword from before named 'Excalibur~!'. "Sensei, can I take Excalibur with me?" In his mind, Excalibur is the legendary sword weilded by King Arthur... so... it has to be a powerful weapon. Right...?
