✍(⊙︿⊙ ; ) ….. nope.
As the maid entered, all Fuu could do was grin her eyes at Jen in response to her explanation about the hat thing. In the silence she just gazed at her friend with eyes of adoration and uttered, "I just looooove how you know so much about the world around us, ya."

And continued to listen-in on the investigation....

"Obviously... Someone must have been digging a hole. No, wait..." Fuu paused, as if to reconsider her uneducated guess from a different angle, "A very messy someone, ya."

"I don't know 'bout you Jen-chan, but I think the housekeeper has told us everything she knows." Fuu smiled and turned to the timid woman, hugging her bare legs up to her chest and putting her bare feet on the seat and waving to her casually, "Thank you for your time Miss~"

"Aye, that would be it," Jen nodded in agreement to Fuu as the housemaid revealed yet another piece of the puzzle as she shed some light on how amid all the drama that was unfolding in the president's house on that day she had noticed some soil that was clearly from outdoors in the house, yet there were no reports of suspicious activity outside. As far as Jen was concerned, they'd gone a full circle. "Thanks for your time, gute frau," Jen nodded as she allowed the housemaid to take her leave.

"All right Fuu-chan, time to look for the president again... I wonder if he might have any answers as to how some soil from the garden ended up inside his home," Jen commented as she went to look for the president again. "Sorry to bother you again, president-san," Jen said as she approached him, taking off her fedora as she did. "But your housemaid said that on the day that the note was found, while all that chaos was going on inside your house over the missing note she discovered some topsoil from your garden inside your house, at the window... I was wondering if this means anything to you sir?"

"I can't think of any reason why there would be dirt....?"

As she moved to ask the president a question Jameson moved into the room unexpectedly. He was carrying a large stuffed dog as well as some ore food from around the park. He looked much more like a casual visitor than someone on a mission. "I got another clue." Jameson said munching cheerfully as he moved towards the girls. He set the dog down and glanced towards the president. "AH! S'good to see you! I am the head investigator. I've been searching all over for suspicious activity." Which was obviously a lie.

"ANYHOW. The last clue I found was this.. It was phoned to me by the police..." He flipped his phone around showing them a picture of a game piece laying in the dirt. "Most likely this was stuck in the shoe of the purp.. Now.. tell me where everyone was so i can update the map.."

"Okay.. with this it seems clear to me whom did it.. looking at this map, your evidence, and the locations.. only one makes sense!" He said with a confident smile, waiting on their reply.

"Do you see what he is seeing, ya?" Fuu's head was turned towards Jen with a dimwitted look on her face. Sitting cross legged on the couch, she seemed content to put her arm around the adorable stuffed dog she'd plucked up from where Jameson had set it. Even though it sat just about as tall as she did.

"So... It doesn't make sense for it to be the maid...." She started, narrowing down the options although the others were sure to have figured it out by now.

"I can't think of any reason why there would be dirt....?" It was at this point, totally out of the girls' expectations, that Jameson entered the room with a large stuffed dog, as well as more food items. "I got another clue." The detective said as he moved towards the girls, munching cheerfully on the food he'd bought. "AH! S'good to see you! I am the head investigator. I've been searching all over for suspicious activity." Jameson greeted the president - and it didn't take a genius to tell that it was a lie, especially with his prize and food. However, he did find another clue all right, as Jen looked at the phone as soon as Jameson showed it to them.

"Most likely this was stuck in the shoe of the purp.. Now.. tell me where everyone was so i can update the map.." The picture showed a game piece laying in the dirt. "Most likely this was stuck in the shoe of the purp.. Now.. tell me where everyone was so i can update the map..".

"So... It doesn't make sense for it to be the maid...." Fuu commented as Jameson updated the floor plan of the house, while the country lass appeared more occupied with the stuffed dog. "So... It doesn't make sense for it to be the maid...."

"The maid was in the bedrooms," Jen added. "That's probably how the game piece ended up on her shoe - she might've ended up getting one of the children's toys on her shoe," the lilac-haired girl concluded.

"heheheh, you'd be wise to think the whole thing over!" Jameson said with a grin. "The one with everything to loose is the maid right? She works for him. If he tanks she's gone first thing... Same for the VP... So whom wouldn't loose much AND have reason to spite..? Besides.. if we're thinking of toys.."

He pointed to the mom. "In the living room where she could easily slip outside through the door then come back in through the window leaving the dirt.. Plus she was watching the kids which would explain a toy in her shoe.. In the bedroom the game pieces would be put away but if they were PLAYING with the game then that changes everything! If we consider these factors PLUS the fact she was close to getting cut off.. she has the most motive.. She sneaked in through the window then back out, waited for him to leave and then went back in, stole the letter, and rushed back to her kids around the outside.." Jameson said with a grin.

"However one mystery remains.. if this is the case then.." He frowned. "How did an overweight lady hop in and out like that..?"

"My windows in the kitchen are large to let sunlight in..."

".... I see." Jameson said, trying not to laugh at the image of the portly woman half hanging out a window. No wonder she got dirt everywhere.

"But.. why my EX WIFE? She should know i wouldn't ever cut her off!"

Jameson sighed heavily and shrugged. "The trust you had was most likely damaged in the divorce.. OR something like that.."

"Wrong." The wife said standing not far away. "The truth is.. I resented not having the kids.. It was this which truly hurt me.. And then threatening to take my financial stability too.... it was too much.."

"Wait, what secret were you going to reveal to ruin the park?"

"I was going to reveal that he failed several health inspections and covered it up using a bribe!"

"I would never!"

"That's right.. I did.." The vice president said with a sigh.

"so the gangs all here.."

"Someone has to do the dirty work." The V.P. said with a frown.

Jameson spat out what he was eating and tossed it in the trash.

"You two! My closest friends! And both of you are behaving in such a dirty manner! I'll have words with both of your later!" The president said, turning red with rage. He sighed and turned to Jameson. "So it was like this... This is going to create quite a mess. But at least i'm not scared any longer.."

Jameson smirked before glancing to the girls. "thank them.. I knew if I were to question the suspects they would likely refuse to talk.. I'm a little intimidating with my eyepatch and all.. Thanks to these girls the vital information came out.." He exhaled slowly. "But this case isn't resolved yet.." He frowned shifting.

"Because she didn't commit a criminal act she is technically in the clear. And yet I also think it's wrong to be too harsh in personal matters. Plus she is the mother of your children and taking action to harm her could hurt them as well. I think your ex still cares for you very much and acted how she did due to that, but the truth is this situation could still get ugly if she chooses to drag this out. Not only that but the tension here is clearly rising.."

"How about this as an after-sale-service..?" Jameson said with a smirk. "I'll work out a contract between you three so that she can earn her finances. Then she won't have to worry about his 'generosity' ending. It will be a job. But it will also benefit the park which will make the vice president happy. This will also help the president.. And I can make sure you're all truly happy with the deal to prevent a festering negative feeling."

~~~~~~~~~
Jameson sighed heavily. He rubbed his neck warily as he search for the girls. A while back he'd released them to enjoy the park while he dealt with this. But now it was finally time to go home. What an interesting case. In the end it didn't end in a criminal act. This was the kind of case he could walk away from with a smile. A rare case with a happy ending.
