I'll burn my dread.
The streets were bustling with the excited chatter of people walking to and fro. However, all this noise was ignored as Michiyo Kairi blasted the music of her MP3 into her ears. The weather's been chilly these few days, as Hikaru said. Today, the girl had worn a grey hoodie over a loose-fitting white t-shirt combined with black jeans and of course, her favourite black Converse high tops. Today was a nice day to take a walk around town and so, the girl was doing just that - taking a walk around town. She blocked out the world around her. Strangers walked past her, not giving the pale-skinned girl a single glance. Well, that was what she thought.

Her peaceful afternoon walk was disrupted when she felt a strong presence behind her. When Michi turned around, she came face to face with three men. Of course, she did not know who they were. In fact, the girl felt chills going up her spine. Her brain told her to run but her feet would not respond.

'Move!'

By the time she tried to escape the men, the most muscular one of the group grabbed her by the waist with one hand and the other hand was clasped over her mouth. She screamed but her cries went unheard. They dragged her into an deserted alleyway. Her captor threw onto the ground. Michi grunted as her back made contact with the earth. She sent a poisonous glare in her captor's direction.

"What do you wan...!"

She was unable to say any more as she was silenced once again. She noticed that the other two men had left the both of them alone. Probably standing outside to keep guard, she assumed. This very pissed off (and scared) girl would have already summoned Acanthus and whacked the hell outta this guy if it weren't for his disgustingly foul-smelling hand covering her mouth. Her eyes locked with his and she noticed that they were filled with lust. Her own eyes widened in fear and she started punching him.

"You're such a beautiful little girl..."

He pushed her against a wall, trapping her between the red brick wall and himself. His free hand started roaming over her body. Michiyo could feel his hand caressing her abdomen and she angrily screamed but once again, it was muffled.

'Someone better get me out of this freaking mess!'

Dangerously Cheesy.
Robyn casually walked down the street of downtown Hyakuji. She normally wasn't one for mindlessly wandering to kill time, but she was making an effort to live a more normal life, and she figured this was what "normal" people did. They wandered and took up space on the sidewalk. It wasn't the most glamorous or action-packed way to spend a day, but she had to keep a low profile while ensuring the security of her job. Ugh, it was almost like having a corporate ball and chain.

Then again, maybe there'd be more action that afternoon than she was anticipating.

Down the block a ways she noticed a girl struggling against a thug and his two lackeys as she was dragged off into an alley. Not only was Robyn disgusted by this act, but she was even more turned off by the closer bystanders who did nothing. Really? There was NO ONE else on the street with the ability to step in and save this girl from a potentially life-altering event?

Not on her watch.

She picked up her stride and reached the alley the two goons were standing in front of. They were big enough, but meathead-size punks were her specialty. When she stopped in front of the two men, they sized her up and smirked.

"You need somethin', Princess?"

"Actually, Tweedle Dee, I need you and homeboy here to move out of the way so I can ruin Rico Suave's day,"
she retorted with an unamused expression.

Their smirks changed into scowls as the second guy dropped his arms to his sides (with the sort of dis-proportioned, top-heavy frame that didn't allow him to drop his arms all the way), taking a step forward.

"You wanna say that again, sweetness?"

Robyn didn't have time for this, and she doubted the girl behind the two did either. She looked them over. Typical thugs, likely the kind that wanted to cause trouble, but not enough to land themselves with a life sentence in jail. This would be like taking candy from a baby...or a victim from a rapist, you know, whatever.

Without blinking an eye, she reached her hands down to her holsters, conjured her guns, and pointed one at each of the guards' temples. Needless to say the other pedestrians scurried off to the other side of the street.

"No. I don't wanna say it again. You can move own by your own accord, or mine. Either way, it's going to happen."

This little game changer shook the tough guy act quick enough, but it seemed like one of them was stupider than the other as he reached up a hand to try and knock her arm away.

Ah, meathead reflexes, just as slow as she remembered.

She fluidly moved her arm out of the way before he was able to connect, and brought her arm around the rest of the way and pistol whipped him in the back of the head. This movement caused her to bring the gun away from the other's forehead, but it was no matter. The other guy decided to jump into the fight not knowing it would be over before it got very far. He lunged forward, arms outstretched with a unnecessarily stereotypical roar. Between the one guy falling forward and the other trying to grab her, she ducked between the two easily enough. Falling Goon #1 hit Lunging Goon #2 and in a display of broad-shouldered instability the two hit the ground one on top of the other with a thud and a groan. The succession of movement was done from start to finish in a mere few seconds.

"Here's some 'sweetness' for you,"
she said in a low voice with a sneer.

Robyn aimed her firearms at their backs and fired one blast into each of their spinal columns, sending a shock through their bodies which visibly tensed with a yelp or two. It wouldn't kill them, or even permanently damage them. It was more of a temporary paralysis to ensure she'd have no problems with the next fight. The stun effect of the low-charged blast would be like taking a taser right to the central nervous system. They didn't deserve such generous treatment from her, but she had a job to maintain.

Robyn swiveled to face the interior of the alley and it was needless to say Desperate Goon #3 had taken some notice that his guards weren't at their posts anymore. And instead some...girl was? Not just any girl, a girl with a handgun pointed at his head.

"Time's up, buddy. I have yet to meet a guy who could keep it up with a gun to his head. And I could be wrong, but this,"
she drew a circle in the air around him and the girl with the end of her gun, "doesn't look very consensual to me." All joking aside, she switched to a darker tone. "Hand her over."

Earlier...It was earlier in the day and a certain electromancer viewed the city from the roof of his dorm. He leaned on the railing on the roof and took in a deep breath. His black eyes scanned the horizon as the wind blew against his back, his hair flowing along with the wind. "It's been quite a while since I moved over here from Akihabara..." Hikaru thought to himself as a small smile crept onto his face before he quickly stopped leaning on the railing and began walking down the stairs of his dorm and headed into the city...

~~~~~
Later...
[Now Playing: Burn My Dread -Last Battle- (Reincarnation Remix)]
It was a normal day in Hyakuji for Hikaru. He walked down the streets of the city as music rang in his ears. The noise of the people around him was drowned out by the beats playing from his headphones. There was no particular reason why he was out here in this part of the city, he had just felt like walking around after his daily sword practice.
He was about to head back to the dorms when all of a sudden he caught a glimpse of a familiar face pass by him. "Huh?...Was that?..." He wondered to himself as he turned around to look back at the girl, but by the time he had done so, she was gone. "I guess I must have imagined it..." He muttered as he began to walk away...
"Idiot host of mine...Didn't you notice something odd a while ago?" Kouki asked Hikaru, causing him to stop in his tracks. "Something odd? What do you mean?" Hikaru asked the rambunctious voice in his head. "Think back...After you saw her, didn't you notice something else?..." Kouki said, letting out a small sigh. "Something else?...Ahh!" He replied as he figured out what the voice was talking about.
"There were a couple of men following her..." He muttered as he broke off into a quick run. He was relatively far away, so he had to take another route to the place where he saw Michi. He turned into an alleyway and saw that two of the men was already downed. In place of the two men stood a blue haired girl who held the third man at gunpoint.
"Time's up, buddy. I have yet to meet a guy who could keep it up with a gun to his head. And I could be wrong, but this, doesn't look very consensual to me. Hand her over."
Taking advantage of the scene the blue haired girl had caused, Hikaru put his hands in his pocket and took out a coin, creating a dagger from it by channeling electricity. It was a small weapon so it was easy to make in secret. He crept up behind the third man and pulled Michi away from him before holding up the dagger up against his neck.
No emotions could be seen on his face or could be heard in his voice. This man had wronged someone he knew, he wasn't exactly going to let him of without a scratch. "Just because Wo Shing is out of the picture, you think you can just barge in and cause chaos in this town?" He asked coldly as he pressed the dagger slightly harder against his neck, drawing a drop of blood. "The Centennial Wolf doesn't exactly like it when you threaten one of his friends..." He said, poison oozing from his words. "Now say goodnight." He muttered softly in his ear before he placed his free hand against the man and channeled large amounts of electricity into him, knocking him out from the electrocution.
"Michi, you all right?" He asked as he twirled his dagger around a bit as he turned towards Robyn. "If you are the one who saved her from these three, I thank you sincerely." He said as he pointed the dagger at the girl. "I hope you don't mind me being cautious around you." Hikaru said as he stood his ground. "It's been kind of hectic ever since Wo Shing got taken down."
Michiyo's blood turned to ice when she saw the blue-haired girl point her gun at her captor's head. She felt his grip on her loosen. The girl attempted to pry herself out of this fiend's hands but this action only made him tighten his hold on her. She winced inwardly - she was definitely going to get bruises.
"Time's up, buddy. I have yet to meet a guy who could keep it up with a gun to his head. And I could be wrong, but this, doesn't look very consensual to me. Hand her over."
Michi didn't expect whatever that came next: she felt herself being pulled away by none other than Hikaru. She watched as he held a dagger to the man's throat. Michiyo Kairi quickly regained composure, still shivering from the contact made earlier on. She saw the man get electrocuted by Hikaru and he fell to the cold ground, knocked out from his attack. She stood in her place, feet glued to the ground.
"Michi, you all right?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," the girl nodded. She could feel that there were bruises blooming on her face but these guys weren't going to stay knocked out for long. Seeing that Hikaru had pointed the dagger towards the other rescuer of hers, she came in between them.
"Hikaru, stop. She helped me out as well," Michiyo turned to the girl and bowed her head. "Thanks so much. If it weren't for you, I'd have been dead meat by now." She said jokingly, with a half-hearted tone to it.
"We'd better go. These guy will be bound to follow us," Michi suggested. "And this guy..." She kicked the body of the one that harassed her. "... he'll get his revenge."
Robyn watched the boy cautiously as he approached out of nowhere, tugged the girl free of the predator’s arms, and caused said man to collapse to the ground in a heap. Much like her attacks, this one was not lethal either, and it really was unfortunate in her opinion.
She had to snicker to herself as the boy held a knife up toward her, who still had the gun in hand. Really, kid? Knife versus gun…well, whatever, at least he was willing to put up some kind of a fight if he had to rather than run away from the situation.
The other girl took the initiative to put a stop to the mini showdown as Robyn gave a nonchalant shrug.
“No problem. Better to be cautious than to become a needless casualty. Just doing my ‘civil duties,’ I guess,”
she said as she made a sarcastic ‘whoop-dee-doo’ circle in the air with her gun.
She slid the firearm back into its holster after determining the threat was no longer immediate, and stepped over the pile of muscle at the entrance to the alley. Passersby were beginning to gawk, but such was the life of an NPC that contributed to plot development in no such way. Robyn stepped past the small crowd that had gathered out onto the sidewalk and re-tightened her ponytail.
She turned back to look at the rescued victim and her apparent companion with an unamused, scolding look on her face.
“You know, it’s great that kids these days are all ‘in tune’ with their inner feelings by listening to soul-bearing lyrics of songs all day, but you should really be more careful about blocking out your surroundings or I guarantee this will happen again.”
She stooped and picked up the MP3 player and headphones that had tumbled out of the girl’s possession during the small tussle and handed them back. “You’re lucky the other pedestrians on this sidewalk today were either honest enough to not steal this, or disturbed enough to get more enjoyment out of watching an alley fight.”
She looked over at Hikaru, trying to analyze exactly who he was, and decided to give him her two cents as well.
“And you, Mr. Vigilante, need to work on responding to Miss Predator-Magnet’s distress signal in a more timely fashion.”
This was half joke, half serious. “At least I can say I did something productive today…” Robyn said to herself thoughtfully. “Anyway. Like you said, we need to vacate. The three musketeers are bound to wake up and regain mobility soon. And because that fight put me in a particularly chipper mood, I’ll escort you the rest of the way. I don’t want to break up another fight while I’m off trying to enjoy myself, sipping a latte." That was what normal people did, right? "Might as well finish this task.”
She took a few steps forward without waiting for a consensus of agreement or otherwise, then turned her head to call to them over her shoulder, “I’m Robyn, by the way.”
"Hikaru, stop. She helped me out as well,"
"Alright then, if you say so..." Hikaru muttered under his breath as he dropped the dagger he held. It was of no use anymore seeing as how the three men were already incapacitated for the meanwhile and even if they woke up sooner than expected, they wouldn't be able to use it against him since it would revert back to it's original coin form soon enough.
"Who the hell is this woman?..." Hikaru thought to himself as a bead of sweat formed on the back of his head as he listened to Robyn berate Michi. He couldn't help but feel that it seemed kind of awkward hearing something like that from someone who didn't seem much older than he was. He had to admit though, she did make a good point. Walking around disregarding your surroundings was pretty much a huge way to make yourself a moving target. While he himself was guilty of drowning out his sense of hearing in music, he did have the spatial awareness of a swordsman and he could always count on the annoying voice in his head to warn him of any danger.
“And you, Mr. Vigilante, need to work on responding to Miss Predator-Magnet’s distress signal in a more timely fashion.”
"Hey, at least I came and tried to help..." He said as he frowned a little bit. "It's not my fault I only realized she was in danger when I was relatively far away...I thought she was someone else at first." Hikaru continued on as he crossed his arms and let out a heavy breath.
“I’m Robyn, by the way.”
"The name's Hikaru. Electromancer, pleased you meet you." Hikaru said as he looked at the young woman standing in front of them. He then began to follow Robyn, but before going too far, he gestured to Michi as he turned his head. "Hey, c'mon let's get out of here. We can't exactly look after you if you keep staying behind us you know" He said as with a smirk on his face.
Michiyo winced inwardly as she listened to her words, feeling somewhat guilty for it. On the other hand, she did sense the three men behind her. Well, she only sensed them when they were close enough to attack her. Next time, she noted, she would not blast her music in her ears. She felt her headphones and MP3 being shoved back into her hands. Michiyo put her headphones around her neck and her MP3 deep into her pocket, fearing that she might lose it again. The girl chuckled lightly when the blue-haired girl turned to Hikaru and started scolding him in a half joking manner and his face started to show signs of embarrassment.
"Acanthus," she murmured under her breath as she removed her necklace. It materialized itself in her hand as a weapon for her defense.
“I’m Robyn, by the way.”
After Hikaru introduced himself, she introduced herself. "I'm Michiyo Kairi Makino, but you may simply call me Michi."
The three of them quickly left the area before the goons woke up.
"Hey, c'mon let's get out of here. We can't exactly look after you if you keep staying behind us you know"
Michi controlled the strong urge to throw her keyblade at him. Instead, she settled for a simple "Shut up, Hikaru". In a couple of seconds, she managed to take over him and Robyn.
Robyn waited for the two to finally catch up to her, and the girl to move in front of them. She couldn't exactly escort her if she didn't know where she was going. It is worth saying that this sort of business was very out-of-character for her, but in all reality, she was hoping that the gang would show up again. She was hankering for something to do within the recent past, and this gave her an excuse to act out "righteously" in the name of saving innocent civilians, or something.
She eyed the weapon that Michi was holding. At least it looked like it could've been a weapon, except it was just a ridiculously large key. What was she expecting to do with that? Club things like she could have done with a plain pipe? Michi in the Downtown area with the lead pipe. Oh man, Robyn cracked herself up sometimes.
The older girl wasn't one for small talk, but she attempted anyway.
"I'm guessing you two go to the high school here."
Not quite, Robyn. Small talk requires asking a question, not answering your own statement. Try again. "Where were you going, anyway?"
Why was this so painful? It was like pulling teeth for Robyn to do this. She really just wanted to get the girl to her destination, maybe rough up a couple of meatheads on the way, and go about her business. She didn't need to be adding new friends to her Rolladex. Not much of a choice at this point, unfortunately.
"Shut up, Hikaru"
"Hey, i'm not the one who needed rescuing just now." Hikaru said with a small frown on his face. "I help rescue her and this is the thanks I get?..." Hikaru thought to himself as he walked with the other two to whatever destination they were headed to. "Them's the breaks. Sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some. You just happened to strike out this time. What were you expecting? A kiss for her savior?" Kouki piped up from within his head. "S-Shut up Kouki! Just helping her out is fine with me!" Hikaru snapped back as he frowned a bit more.
"Yeah, i'm a third year in Hyakuji High." Hikaru replied to Robyn's comment about the two of them. Like Robyn, he eyed the oversized key Michi was wielding in her hand. "Huh?...Since when could she do that?..." He wondered to himself as he recalled his first meeting with the girl. Back then she didn't know much about what powers she had. "Guess she finally started learning more about her powers after we parted..." He thought to himself as he let out a small smile.
"Aww well aren't we a proud little host?" Kouki said teasingly from the recesses of his mind. "Didn't I just tell you to shut up?" Hikaru said in reply to the voice. "Yeah yeah, whatever you have no power over me anyways." Kouki replied haughtily. "You're lucky you're just a voice in my head." Hikaru snapped back as he let out a little sigh. Sometimes having a voice speaking inside your head was convenient, other times it was just plain annoying and sometimes it made one feel like they were going crazy. This was one of those times where it was just annoying.
"So Michi, when'd you learn that fancy key trick? Last time I saw you, you barely had any knowledge on your own powers. I can teach you some things about wielding it if you like."
The girl noticed that Robyn and Hikaru's gazes lingered on her weapon. She waved it around in a somewhat dangerous manner. "This is Acanthus," she said, her defenses up once again. "I haven't really got the chance to have a good fight with him yet though so I'm very much lacking in the swordmanship department."
This kind of situation was somewhat strange for her. Usually, she would be even colder when she first meets someone unfamiliar. However, today was different. Maybe it was because someone familiar was there and that certain someone went by the name of Hikaru Ichikawa.
"So Michi, when'd you learn that fancy key trick? Last time I saw you, you barely had any knowledge on your own powers. I can teach you some things about wielding it if you like."
"Learning swordplay would be good," Michi said. "I learned it from a dream, if that's the proper way to put it."
A giant, magical key, huh? Robyn wasn't sure what to think of that one. It was a neat trick to be able to take a tiny necklace and turn it into some giant object, but what sort of damage could a "weapon" like that really do? Then again, she'd done enough damage in the past with similar things like golf clubs or pipes, so the functionality of it wasn't too far fetched.
There was also the fact that it was apparent she had just learned about this trick as she was seeking help on how to use it. It was a good thing her friend offered her lessons as she didn't know the first thing about swordsmanship.
"Learned from a dream? Can't say I've heard that one before."
It was almost like being stuck in a boring, lifelike addition to the Matrix series, learning things without actually experiencing them. The concept wasn't too crazy as she thought dreams could be very educational and give her some additional insight, but she rarely if ever learned things she didn't already know.
"As long as you stay out of trouble you should be alright, but learning a few tricks wouldn't hurt. Besides, this is Hyakuji."
She glanced over at Hikaru, "What with the Wo Shing dilemma and all, carrying a means of defense isn't a bad idea. And luckily you have a travel size version of that thing."
"Learned it from a dream huh? Guess anything could happen." He commented as he smiled a little bit. While he didn't learn things through visions, he had the next best thing. An annoying voice in his head. While he was annoying and sometimes useless, he had to admit he did learn some things about himself from the said voice.
"What with the Wo Shing dilemma and all, carrying a means of defense isn't a bad idea. And luckily you have a travel size version of that thing."
"She's right, it's a dangerous time in Hyakuji nowadays ever since the biggest organized crime group got taken out." Hikaru said as he nodded at Robyn's comment. "I don't have to worry since i'm pretty much armed wherever I go." Hikaru said as he took out a coin from his pocket. "Thankfully the coins here are conductive, so I can pretty much arm myself wherever I am. Not to mention the fact I'm already a walking generator." He said as he summoned a few sparks around his hand.
"Well, i'm already warmed up from my little session a while ago. You mind if we start your lessons here and now?" Hikaru asked with a grin on his face as he glanced around the area. "There's no one here to get in our way and the space is pretty much just the right size to spar." He said as he flipped the coin he was holding. "Robyn here can be our mediator." He said as he pointed at the woman with his other hand. "Before learning about defense, you'll need to learn about attack. So your challenge for now is to get in a clean hit on me with that blade of yours in lets say...ten minutes. I won't use any of my electromancy so it'll be strictly swordsmanship."
"And...How about we make things a little more interesting?" Hikaru said with a smirk on his face as he caught the coin. "If you can't get in a hit in that time, you'll have to do whatever I'll ask. And if you win, then i'll do whatever you say. Sound good?" He asked as he looked at Michi. "Whenever you're ready, feel free to bring it."
'Wo Shing...?' Michiyo thought to herself. This particular name had been mentioned a couple of times by Hikaru but yet, she had no idea who or what they were.
"Before learning about defense, you'll need to learn about attack. So your challenge for now is to get in a clean hit on me with that blade of yours in lets say...ten minutes. I won't use any of my electromancy so it'll be strictly swordsmanship."
Michiyo nodded, agreeing to whatever Hikaru had said. She held her keyblade in her usual manner - reverse grip. Not many people held it like she did. It gave her her advantage when she held Acanthus like this.
"And...How about we make things a little more interesting? If you can't get in a hit in that time, you'll have to do whatever I'll ask. And if you win, then i'll do whatever you say. Sound good?"
Michi saw the smirk that formed on his lips. He was up to no good, she sensed. Her ice princess self had returned. An emotionless expression rested upon her face. She gripped the hilt of her weapon tightly, slightly fearing what was to come. Yet, she nodded in agreement.
"Whenever you're ready, feel free to bring it."
She stayed still for a few seconds before darting to the side and charging in his direction.
While the two held their little conversation about sword fighting, Robyn continued to walk on. She was on a mission, and they'd catch up eventually.
...Until she heard them say something about sparring. And her role in it.
Robyn stopped dead in her tracks, turned around, and placed her hands on her hips.
"'Mediator'? Hang on, Sparky."
She could not be any less amused, and the expression was proof. Were these kids dropped on their heads as children? Did they look at where they were, or how far they'd gotten? Time for the Voice of Reason to be reintroduced. Hopefully the Pistol Whip of Compliance wouldn't have to make an appearance as well.
"Are you two serious? We haven't even gotten three blocks away from where I just saved your ass and you want to stop, HERE, to do Sword Fighting 101?"
She wasn't sure if she was being heard, or if the message was even being processed, but she continued. "The middle of downtown Hyakuji is not an ideal place for this, despite how many times you may have seen fights break out. I must have lead you on with an uncharacteristic Good Samaritan move on my part of helping you out, but I'm not here to play babysitter while you two make it easier for Casanova and his pals to track you down."
She'd said her piece, and was not keen on these two kids deciding whether or not she would stick around and become a gangster magnet, despite how fun that sounded to her. She turned back around and called over her shoulder with an uncaring shrug.
"I have no problem letting Darwin decide who lives today. You kids have fun, God speed. And don't call me if you incur charges from store owners for broken windows or displays."
She continued her walk down the street without waiting for so much as an acknowledgment, but didn't make it more than a few steps before she saw a rather misfit mob of nine men lumbering toward them. Some held baseball bats, some tossed what looked to be switchblades from hand to hand, and others simply pounded their fists together. There were even a few familiar faces in the crowd, and it was easy to see they were the most disgruntled of them all.
"It looks like your lesson has been advanced to practical exercise,"
Robyn said to the two with a smirk as she watched the displeased gang approach.
"We're comin' for ya, sweetness! You done hit the bee hive an' now you're gonna pay!"
shouted one of the guards from earlier from about fifty feet away.
"Pay? For what? Your cosmetic surgery to fix the pride you lost a few blocks back?" she jokingly yelled back as she interlaced her fingers and stretched them in front of her. She switched her footing to that of a fighter's and kept an eye on the advancing party, now talking to the two in a low, very-non-joking voice. "You guys either need to get your game faces on, or get the hell out of here."
"It looks like your lesson has been advanced to practical exercise,"
"Huh?" Hikaru muttered as he watched Michi dash towards him. He quickly stepped to the side, letting her pass by him completely before he turned to look at what Robyn was talking about. In the distance he could see a small mob of people, and presumably from the presence of the men they just beat up, the others were friends of theirs and they wanted their revenge.
"Geez...You guys just had to ruin the fun..." Hikaru said with a sigh as he rummaged through his pockets to take out another coin. "I have no qualms of ridding this city of punks like you." Hikaru said coldly as electricity began to arc through his body.
In both of his hands he held a coin, and a few seconds after he had gotten the coin, arcs of electricity began jumping across his body for a moment before heading to the coins he held. The coins began to glow in a bright blue light. After the light subsided, in his right hand he held a saber and in his left, he held a slightly elongated dagger. He twirled the dagger a bit before adjusting his grip so he was holding it with a reverse grip, much like how Michi held Acanthus. He then quickly performed a slash to the air in front of him.
"Michi, i'm afraid our little bet will have to wait." Hikaru said as he glanced back at the girl. "We've got a bunch of pests to exterminate." He said before looking back at the small crowd. He then took a deep breath as he channeled electricity into his blades, causing them to glow in a cackling blue aura. This was different from the past times he had channeled electricity into his weapons, this time the aura had a cutting edge, making his blades more deadly. Prolonged exposure to Kouki had caused him to refine his techniques subconsciously. In a sense, the longer the two of them stayed together, the stronger he would become.
"Robyn. you've got guns right? Cover me." Hikaru said as he glanced towards the blue haired woman. "These guys are beginning to tick me off." He said with a frown as he broke into a quick run towards two of the men, to be particular the ones armed with weapons. Michi was still a beginner when it came to fighting so he would leave the unarmed ones to her. He slashed at the baseball bat one of the men held using his saber, cutting it in half before delivering a swift roundhouse kick to his head, knocking him out.
He then spun around and slashed at the other man's hand which was holding a switchblade, causing him to scream out in pain as he dropped his knife. Taking advantage of this, Hikaru quickly slashed at man's other arm, and followed up with a wide slash at the man's legs, causing him to drop to his knees.
"You picked the wrong people to mess with." He said coldly as he stared at the man he had dropped to his knees before he swung the flat of his blade against the man's temple, knocking him out as well. He turned to face the rest of the crowd as he gripped his blades tightly. "Who else wants to taste my blade!?"
