I could go into great detail about the plot in RE, and how it makes more sense then Halo even after the re-write, but going back and forth about the plots of Halo, and RE gets us nowhere. Everyone has their own opinions on things, and that's just the way it is. Where not always gonna agree. |

hence why I'm stopping. I do hope you are not taking offense to this, but when I read reviews of things I expect to see more fact than opinion. Yes, any review still is of the opinion of the writer but they cannot be made without proper research and experiences with their subject materials. Fallout 3, and New Vegas, for example, both fun and good. But well put together is something I imagine even fans of the series cannot really say about it. Well thought concepts and execution? Sure. But lets face it, their engine is ridiculously glitchy, and even if they do provide for hilarious moments in game, it still a knock against them. I'm just glad they at least attempt patching it when they can. (You know when they're not releasing addons to the busted game instead) Edited by Yosuke, Nov 6 2010, 08:35 AM.

I really do have to agree with Trace and Yosuke on the glitching problems with Fallout NV. I was hoping they would have learned from Fallout 3 about all the glitches, but I see this really didnt bother. So far the only glitches I have seen are not really a problem (having brahmin stuck in rocks or eye balls not being in people's sockets XD), except for the one or two crashes that have happened to me. Trace seems to have it bad, as the game seems to crash when he is playing his destructive melee/unarmed character. I really do hope the patches do work out most of the kinks that are still present in the game. As for graphics and concept, they do seem a little blah to me. I really don't care much for graphics in a game, they are more of a garnish you would put with a game, but fallout graphics could use a little more of a touch up. I mean sure they did use the graphics from the last game, but I thought they could have done a little bit more. I have it for the computer with graphics set to ultra high, and the only differenace I see is that they smoothed out some of the faces. Also I really wished they added in a few more colors then brown and grey like in the last game. Their is New Vegas with its blinding colors and some mountains with green grass, but I mainly explore out in the wasteland for most of the part. Now the story of the game isnt really that bad, its just as soon as I start playing the game I really do lose track on the main objective. Reminds me of how I really lost track of it in the 3rd game. I really havent been keeping track of it, to the point where I'm 20-30 hours into the game and I have only done one or two things for the main quest. I really do have to agree with Trace on the compainions too. Late game most of your companions could last more then a few strikes from a raider, but now it seems more of a chore. Instead of your companions protecting you, its the other way around. It really does take away from having a compainion, to the point I might not even have one at all. I've used Raul, Boone, E-D, Lily, and Rex as companions and they seem to die before I could try and save them. I really do like NV, even with its flaws, but I really don't think it deserves such a perfect score. (P.S. why wasnt there more talk about best friend Tabitha and the battle cattle X3!) Ah no Yosuke I understand that tones sometime can't be felt over the net. But I don't take any offense to what your saying. What you and Hiro said I'm taking to heart and will review things in an unbiased way from now on. But as a writer I have to stand by work, weather people like it or not. But I'm always open to ways to improve. And I thank you for your thoughts on everything. |

Could you do a review on this Blade Kitten thing? I'm not sure how swinging that sword around works when everyone else has guns and laser rifles. |

Well time for my next review let's see if I can get out of this one without my head getting bitten off.![]() Assassins Creed: Brotherhood The legendary Enzio is back, and this time he brings backup. The game picks up almost right where the last one left off. So unless you have played 2 you won't understand much that is going on. The story is pretty much hit or miss, and to be honest, I think they are trying to hard to make Creed too much of a conspiracy theory, and due to this, the game is getting harder to follow. Enzio is out for blood once again but this time, the job is to big for him to handle, so like all great hero's he calls in backup, this backup being the brotherhood a group of mercenaries with many talents, that Enzio uses to do away with his targets. The game play is pretty good, this time around. As you progress through the game you will gather many troops, and will be in charge of making sure they stay well equipped, for the battles to come, this adds a lot of strategy, and depth to the game where to be honest the past games never had. (At least not at this level) You can send the troops on special missions designed for them, and if all goes well, they will come back stronger, making sure they will be of more use to you in future missions. The battles in ACB are starting to get better, while I still don't feel like the badass I felt like in the first game, they are slowly trying to get back to that sense of greatness, but the game puts so much into the team aspect of combat, it feels like they are forgetting who the real star is. I like the whole using troops to help with assassination but let's not forget that Enzio has talents too. The counter system seems to be back to its original format, which to be honest is great, seeing how in the 2nd game, I found myself not fighting as much, but more so running when I caused trouble due to the fact the counter system was broken then, and large groups on enemies where hard to deal with. While it still isn't perfect, it has made strides to get back to what it once was. The new edition to the game, the online battles, are the main draw for the game. For the longest I have wanted to assassinate my buddies, and with this game I finally get the chance. The battles play out like capture the flag almost, sometimes your the target, other times your the hunter, and games of cat and mouse can go on forever if your up againsts someone who has decent intelligence, but that in no way means either side has a clear advantage, its how you use your talents, and how well you keep an open eye that decideds victory. All in all I would recommend you play the game online, seeing how that's the major draw, and the better you do, the better the upgrades you get, so there is plenty to do once you finish the main story. Concept: Enzio's thirst for blood seems to have no end as he continues his quest to right the wrongs done to his family. Graphics: Still a wonder to look at, and exploring Rome is a great feeling. Sounds: The game uses a classical score to capture every moment perfectly. And the voice overs are still top mark. Playabilty: The game feels sluggish in battles, but when you base it on squad combat, I guess that's the by-product. Entertainment: While not perfect by any means due to the somewhat still broken battle system, this is a nice side bar for the series, and the online battles are hella fun. Final Score: 4/5 Edited by Crow Hiroshima, Dec 3 2010, 08:08 AM.

I'm pretty indifferent to Assassin's Creed. I own the first and am about halfway into it. It's fun albeit hugely repetitive after you do the 3 cities each for their first time. My friend let me try the start of AC2 and it seemed like an improvement. Not so huge on the real world/present day OMG CONSPIRACY THEORY part of the plot but it's still a decent story overall. |

Yea but the plot is starting to drown itself, and to be honest its becoming harder to follow, and I don't think the staff knows what's going on anymore. But I will say the 2nd one was in some area's leaps and bounds above the first. |

Ok I'm going to recap some of the big announcements from tonights VGA. Batman Archam City~ Well done scene to showcase the type of drama the Dark Knight will be in this type around, also with Hugo Strange making his appearance, I hate to say I'm excited. Get ready to enter hell next fall. Resistance 3~ Looks to pick up where the past 2 games left off, and still deliver this bigger than life battle to save humanity againsts a threat that seems unbeatable. Look to fight back november next year. Prototype 2~ By far the most shocking announcement for me on the night, while I wasn't a big fan of the first game, the fact that it gets a sequel shows that game sales are all that matters, even if the mechanics are broken. Elder Scrolls Skyrim ~ Didn't see much from it, but knowing Bethesda it will be a great addition to the series. Mortal Kombat ~ Won't lie, didn't see much special about this game until Kratos gutted Sub Zero, a must buy for fans of the game. I know it may get a buy from me. Froza Motorsports ~ Not a big fan of the series, but eh its a racing game, so if you love the genre then by all means get it to support them. Mass Effect 3 ~ Won't lie I yelled like a bitch when I saw this. I am a great fan of Bioware, but Mass Effect is one of their babies who they take care of and I am completely smitten with. Not sure when the trailer will be on youtube, but if I'm not posting much, its because I'm watching it over, and over, and over lol. Next fall expect my activity to be 0 when this game hits gamestop. Uncharted 3 Drakes Deception ~ If you haven't jumped on Naughty Dogs dick yet I suggest you get on now and join me for a ride. Its great, and this team, although they have great success, is still an underrated studio, and that's not fair. So look forward to them to pull out all the stops for Drakes next adventure. |

Spike's VGAs is a total joke; just sayin' Terribly scripted, poorly researched and zero authenticity. It's just a big grab to cash in on video game culture. |

The jokes where painful. And the guest are horrible. But even so the only funny thing they did all night was the TMZ thing, and that was only funny with the packman joke. I'm still slightly laughing about it. So they whore themselves away once a year for the gaming industry. For a night of ratings that otherwise they wouldn't see. If we went to hell for whoreing ourselves out to people who don't give a damn about us we would be.......well spike tv.....lol. At least we got some cool announcements. |
