Downtonw, 1PM, Day after [Birth of G3]

She wasn't really late, but Miyuki was annoyed anyway. Because she had to finish things at headquarters in the morning, they couldn't just go together, so instead they'd agreed to meet here at around this time. It was almost like living separately and dating again. However, it had taken longer than expected to finish, and so she had to rush home after to do something she rarely did - get dressed for the occassion. She couldn't really take her bike with this outfit either, and so ended up arriving 'just in time' rather than her customary 'earlier than the norm even for a society that valued showing up considerably earlier.'

At least he wasn't that hard to spot. Although Kouta blended in somewhat, there weren't all that many people who wore the symbol of Kuuga on their shirts. ...Even if they started selling those at BOARD's giftshop.

"I'm... a little late. Did you wait long?" she asked him as she approached.

"What, ran out of suits?" Kouta joked as his significant other showed up much later than anticipated to this get together. After all, she was the one who had told him to take her out like this to make up for making her worry all the time. Of course, he couldn't help but be a little surprised at her choice of clothing more so when pretty much any time they went out together it was in the suit she wore day in and day out.

"I didn't wait long." Kouta continued soon after, though he was pretty much lying, a little better than he normally did but still a bit obvious. Given how Miyuki was in general, he'd shown up at around 11AM, well before the designated meeting time because he had a feeling she'd already be there. Imagine his surprise when she wasn't.

"But now that you're here, we can get going, I guess?"

"Well you complained about it before, so I... thought you might like this better.."

It was a beige shirt and a light blue hooded jacket, matched to form fitting blue denim pants and running shoes, and surprisingly, even wore her glasses. It was a far cry from the stiffling, expensive Miguel Caballero suits she usually wore everywhere. She still wore the watch she always did, and didn't visibly appear to be carrying weaponry, although a small fannypack on her belt actually contained her pistol and 4 additional shots, and the back still held a basic first aid kit.

"You're a terrible liar, by the way. Your face is too honest for it and it doesn't really suit you." she added after a moment, then turned away "...Well.. it's my fault anyway, since it took abit longer than expected. Sorry, I should have called ahead."

"Aww, you shouldn't have." Kouta joked in regards to Miyuki's apparel, pretty much ignoring her comment about him being a terrible liar. It was a pleasant change of pace at least, and the woman a few quick look overs, circling around her a few times in order to look at the outfit she picked better. After a few moments he stopped in front of her and merely gave his partner a few nods of approval, followed by his trademark thumbs up.

"Well, all that matters is that you're here." he finally spoke up, reassuring the distressed woman. "Now you can sulk about being late and blame yourself for something that you couldn't control or..." he began, holding out a hand for emphasis.

"We can just get this date started and get some food." and without waiting for an answer that extended hand would take Miyuki's already, with Kouta leading her to his planned lunch spot.

"That's a good idea I thi--nk?" she was interrupted as he grabbed her hand without warning.

She didn't really resist, and ran along with him, her other hand making sure her glasses didn't fall off. It wasn't really something she'd normally be caught doing, but sometimes it was good to have days like this, and wind down lest you overstress yourself. For the first time in a long while, she'd allowed a faint, hidden, but still approving smile.

Since there was no protesting and Miyuki matched his pace as expected, Kouta continued on, leading his partner towards his planned place to eat. It wasn't that far of a walk from the meeting place and they'd arrive fairly quickly. The end of the short run was met with a small, quaint little ramen shop called Hagakure.

"I don't like eating at fancy places and I figured I'd bring you to a place I like to swing by when I'm on break." Kouta explained earnestly. Besides, he didn't want to try too hard to find one of those "cliche" restaurants couples were often found eating at for ridiculous prices. Besides he didn't want to get in trouble for picking some place that would end up being terrible.

Of course, all that mattered to Kouta was just him and Miyuki have a good time, putting aside their obligations for a bit of well deserved relaxation time. And once again he would move without waiting for an answer as he entered the shop, greeting the chef inside.

"Yo, boss!" with nothing more than a wave he'd take a spot at the counter and gestured for Miyuki to hurry up.

"I see. Well then..." she followed him in, taking the time to look around and observe the layout.

It wasn't exactly the most defensible place, but it would be sufficient if the need arose. The windows- she stopped herself midthought, and chided herself. She'd been in her line of work far far too long. Here she was, on vacation, on a date, running crisis scenarios through her mind. She shook her head and let the thought slide, taking a seat next to kouta.

"So this is where you go to relax huh..." she wondered aloud

"You should try it some time, it's pretty fun." Kouta joked at Miyuki's musings, as he adjusted himself in his seat, and without missing a beat he was pretty much ready to order. "Yo Boss, I'll just have the usual!" and with that the aged man behind the counter just seemed to nod. With that out of the way Kouta turned to his partner and chuckled. "But man, it's been a while since we last went out, hopefully it doesn't end like the first time did."

It was an annoying first date but looking back on it, Kouta had a lot of fun, and regretted being as dense as he was back then. But that was the past, today was a day where both of them were to relax, nothing more, nothing less.

"Shio Ramen." she ordered for herself, before turning back to Kouta, and hiding her embarrassment over his bringing up of... that incident. "I... didn't mean to hit you that time." was all she said.

"You mean you meant it the other times then?" Kouta joked, merely reaching a hand out and patting Miyuki on top of her head. "And I wasn't referring to that, I was mainly hoping today won't end with work happening again." he added, sighing a bit. He had already forgiven her for that accident, and it was mostly his fault anyway...

And old chef behind the counter merely chuckled to himself as he got to work.

"That's not it either!" she protested, wishing she had a scarf she could bury her face in. She was probably as red as a ground cherry at the moment. "Idiot..." she muttered under her breath, looking out the window.

"It's still jarring to see you switch from Kuu to Tsun so easily." Kouta mused as he pulled his hand away from Miyuki's head, not after ruffling her hair a bit of course. After that he wouldn't say anymore though, he knew when not to push too many buttons on his partner, else he really would be hit this time.

Either way, time would pass and their orders would arrive, and what Kouta's "usual" order was would come into light. It was known as the secret menu item of Hagakure, the Hagakure bowl. The exact contents were unknown to all but those who had knowledge of the menu, though at a glance it was mostly a beef based dish. Of course, the other thing that set it apart was the fact the serving and bowl itself was notably larger than the normal ones...

"Itadakimasu~" with a joyful cheer and a break of the chopsticks, Kouta dug in happily...

"...Stop being an idiot. Idiot." she muttered, looking away, and starting with her own noodles.

She looked vaguely interested in Kouta's bowl, considering the size, but she'd also had a general fondness for salt ramen that came with her unusual upbringing. She'd ended up growing up eating in ramen stalls after running around training herself, and the taste of good Shio ramen was always something she'd looked forward to, along with a bottle strawberry milk after.

Picking up her chopsticks, she went straight in, eating with a carnivorous efficiency that seemed almost beyond human. It was a wonder she managed to have time to taste them at all.

"I'll stop being an idiot when you stop being uke...or when you at least take the time to eat like a normal person. Either or really." Kouta mused with a bit of a chuckle as he went back to his own meal. It still bugged him how she could inhale food so easily, it didn't matter what kind of meal it was. While he didn't outwardly dislike that trait, he just found it disrespectful to the person who prepared it.

Of course, given how fast/much they were eating the old man behind the counter couldn't help but suggest something.

"You know, you two should try out the challenge I'm having today. Eat as much as you can and if you break the record the meals free."

"Idiot, I'm absolutely not submissive!" she protested "And it's fine, I can actually taste everything."

She pouted somewhat, the contents of the ramen bowl having disappeared in the meantime. Miyuki was about to press the issue, when she was distracted by the old man, her ears perking up at the challenge. For someone as competitive as she was, it was something she could barely resist. She could no sooner turn off that aspect of that personality than she could stop breathing.

"So what would the record be?" she asked, turning to the man behind the counter.
