“Um…any luck finding what you’re looking for, Alex-kun..?” "If you don't mind, Alex... could you at least tell us what this Gateway is?" "Y-yeah, It might somehow help us find it, if we know what it is." Alex turned around looking at them, sizing them up to gauge how much he should let out. Even the consideration of telling others about the secret of the Gateway was surprising by itself. Should he tell them? Can he trust them? Sure, they've met a few times before (with the most memorable one being the time at the lake), but for someone with his kind of past, 'met a few times' does not warrant a trust from him. ... Are you sure...? They're going this far to help you. ... Guess I can tell them a bit about it. "It's alien technology," ... That's it? "The Gateway I have is just a small cheap copy of the original one. Of course, I only have the schematic of the original," That's better. "It's a device capable of making rifts in the space-time continuum fabric. I-I don't understand it very well, the text was completely alien. The language used doesn't exist in any part of human history. And the construction was extremely advanced. I have no idea how the schematic came into granny's possession... But the point is, that thing is very dangerous in the wrong hands. If they understand the workings of the Gateway, one could create wormholes to transport armies right in the middle of a city, perform time travels to disrupt history, ... Argh! Damn it! I have to get it back..." he said, ruffling his hair in anger and exasperation. "... Found you...!" A malevolent grin cracked on his face as the DS finally zeroed in on a single, very specific coordinate. On the second floor, the North Wing, the third cubicle in a toilet. Gotcha. He immediately broke into a run, weaving between people and stalls, heading straight to the North Wing. Checking his DS again, he went ahead to the specified toilet. Typical. Why didn't he realize it earlier? Maybe it's because he was too panicky about losing the Gateway to think properly... He's nearing the toilet... He's in front of the toilet... He kicked the door open with such force that the people inside gasped in shock and horror. "ALRIGHT, MIDGET!! I KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE!! COME OUT AND SHO-" BONK!!! Alex broke mid-sentence as he felt his nose break. He fell to the ground with a thud, clutching his bleeding nostril, and a sink landed heavily next to him with a heavy KONG. ... A sink?! Aghast, he lifted his head to determine, what exactly went wrong. Girls. Women. Old ladies. ... Huh?! Glancing up the door, he peered at the sign. ... It's the female's toilet. Amidst the shriek and yells of the occupants, Alex's brain was frantically working hard to fix the puzzles together. That, that can't be right. He took another look at his DS. It clearly, very clearly, shows the coordinate of the last delivery. Right here, in the third cubicle. Of course, he could check the existence of the thief right now, if it wasn't for the ruckus caused by the occupant of the toilet. "H-hold it! Wait! I'm here to look for someo-WOAH!" he was lucky this time, as he managed to tip his head sideways, closely avoiding another flying sink thrown by a particularly large and beefy one. He sensed impending doom as she ripped off yet another sink, sending jets of water spraying everywhere. "STOP! HALT, I SAY! I HAVE COME IN PEACE! WAHH!" His yells went unanswered as he ducked to avoid another one from breaking his jaw. Uhm... help?

Yuki stood there and listened to Alex as he explained the technology. Despite the fact that the mention of "alien technology" made her do a double-take are replay in her head what he said, she found it difficult to follow his longer explanation. Thus, she was happy summarizing the whole paragraph in a few simple phrases: 1. Alien technology 2. Dangerous in the wrong hands 3. Armies and disrupting history, and 4. Need to get it back. The pink-haired girl nodded in general understanding of the situation with renewed determination. "We'll help you get it back, Alex-kun! It sounds like it's pretty important. And maybe when you get it back you can use it to help out Jonny-kun, if that's even possible..." Despite the fact that she knew Alex a bit less than she knew Jonny, she didn't have much of a choice when it came to whom to help out. Fortunately for them he traveled at normal human speed and despite the threat of armies being unleashed, he was probably the safer route to go with. The mall was turning into a scene of chaos. Previously happy shoppers were now rushing toward the nearest exit as ushered by mall security. This had to be because of the fight going on between Jonny and whatever else that thing or person was. Sounds of mass destruction were echoing through the huge building along with the occasional screams from people nearly caught in the crossfire. While Alex interacted with his DS, she glanced over the railing looking down toward the main floor. She couldn't see the fight, but she could hear it. She could only hope they'd make it in time or that he would come out on top. "...Found you...!" Yuki heard Alex dash off after she assumed he had tracked the device's location. "Ah! Wait!" She was getting tired of him taking off without giving them any cues, and she could only hope her aerobic stamina would hold out as she took off after him. The girl still had no idea how she'd be able to help him even if they did find the thief... ...Until she watched Alex dart into the women's restroom. Woe be unto the man who does such a task. And said "woe" was promptly thrown in his face. Wait, did this mean that the thief was...a girl? Shaking the thoughts aside for now, she rushed up to the bathroom, dodging another sink that was thrown toward the entrance. Alex was doing his best to get the angered and disgusted woman to stop, but to no such luck. So she thought she'd try her luck; maybe the woman would be able to reason with another female. "Hold on! He didn't mean to burst in here like some pervert! He didn't realize--" "What, that there would be WOMEN in the WOMEN'S RESTROOM?" shrieked the sink-throwing Amazon woman. "I'll call security! Or maybe I'll just make sure he can never walk into another women's restroom again!" she bellowed as she began to reach for the next sink. Yuki ran up to the woman and tried to block her from grabbing the porcelain basin, getting sprayed with the broken pipe from one of the other sink hook-ups in the process. "Please! He had something really important stolen from him, and thought he saw them run in here, that's all!" Once she saw the hesitation and reconsideration in the woman's face, now-half-wet Yuki turned around and began to push Alex toward the doorway while speaking quietly. "You need to get out of this room before Lumberjill rips one of the stalls from the floor and throws it at you. Selene and I will check things out in here." Just now noticing his bloody face, her eyes went wide. "Ack! Uh...here," she pulled down a few paper towels and shoved them into his hands so he could use them to mop up his face, continuing to physically usher him out away from the disturbed restroom occupants. Yuki then stuck her dripping head outside of the restroom, "Selene-san! Come help!" |

"Alien technology, huh?" Selene mused as Alex explained what the Gateway was, or at least his attempts to reverse-engineer what a piece of alien technology. The corporate heiress didn't quite catch a good deal of the techno-babble that Alex went on about what the Gateway does, but apparently it acts as some form of transport device that is capable of moving people and objects through time and space, instantaneously - much like a high-level portal created by powerful magi. Or at least the effects are similar. "That certainly sounds dangerous - I don't even want to imagine what someone could do with the time-traveling aspect," the corporate heiress cringed at the thought. Messing around with history could turn some of the worst-case what-if scenarios into reality - such as what if the Axis Powers won World War 2? Or what if a war between the USA and the USSR actually occurred during the Cold War? "We'll help you get it back, Alex-kun! It sounds like it's pretty important. And maybe when you get it back you can use it to help out Jonny-kun, if that's even possible..." Selene nodded at Yuki's comment - the pink-haired girl made a good point; given the device's capabilities, if they could get it back for Alex it would be a fair trade to somehow harness the Gateway's ability to assist Jonny - what better way to deal with super speed than the ability to manipulate the fabric of time itself? "...Found you...!" It appeared that finally, Alex had managed to locate his precious Gateway using his DS, which to Selene's guess possessed a tracking program for his device. And promptly took off, presumably towards where his DS pointed him to. "Ah! Wait!" Selene took off after Yuki as the pink-haired girl took off after Alex. For all his scientific knowledge as a teen prodigy, he certainly didn't have much in the way of strategy and planning, did he? Indeed, for an intellectual like Alex, Selene had hoped that he'd be somewhat more level-headed. But judging from his earlier rampage through the mall in search of his Gateway and even now was simply jumping at the first lead he got, the English heiress felt it was clear that for all his ingenuity, Alex failed at common sense. Following in Alex's tracks, the two girls eventually made it to... a ladies' restroom. Which Alex had barged right into. The occupants' response was immediate... and predictable, as Selene clapped her hands over her ears to soften a piercing shriek made by the women inside. What the corporate heiress didn't predict however, was a thrown sink that Yuki narrowly avoided, and came crashing in front of the English heiress' feet! "Cor blimey!" Selene exclaimed as she flinched at nearly getting hit by a flying sink. "Please, there's no need for violence!" the English heiress continued as she stopped just right outside the restroom entrance, just as Yuki was trying to stop an enraged woman from ripping out another sink to throw at Alex, the pink-haired girl trying to reason with the agitated toilet-users. "Selene-san! Come help!" Yuki called out as she stuck her head out, her hair dripping from being drenched by a spray of water from the torn pipes. "I got it!" Selene replied as she carefully edged past Yuki who was ushering out a battered Alex. Meanwhile, Selene made a call to her bodyguards to rendevous with her, Yuki and Alex, waiting for a while until the two men in business suits arrived outside the entrance leading the the ladies' restroom. "If someone tries to run out of the restroom, get ready to tackle her," Selene gave her instructions to her bodyguards, who nodded in response, before joining up with Yuki. "I would like to humbly apologize for my friend's actions... but please understand that he was distressed over losing something important to him, as my pink-haired friend had previously stated," Selene bowed, before gesturing towards Yuki. "An important possession of his was stolen, and we suspected that the thief that was responsible is hiding here, in this restroom. I just call for your cooperation, that is all - if you're not the one responsible, there is nothing to be alarmed about." As she spoke, Selene kept an eye on the bathroom stalls, wondering if the thief might be hiding inside one of them. |

Sokkenai listened intently as Alex described what the Gateway was. It sounded like a very useful piece of equipment from the parts of the description that Sokkenai could hear amongst the rest of the technological information. It could be extremely bad if it went into the wrong hands indeed. Some of the worst things in history could be made true like the Cold War or even someone causing World War 3 somehow. As Alex apparently found the person who took his gateway Sokkenai turned to follow him. He wasn't the type to sit and plan things before rushing off that was for sure. Sokkenai managed to stop following Alex just as he ran into the ladie's restroom. Sokkenai quietly tried to stop Alex by pointing it out but he had ran in before Sokkenai could point it out. Not knowing what to do Sokkenai stood outside the restroom knowing that Selene and Yuki would be able to manage whatever happened inside. A moment later Selene called for some bodyguards who came and stood outside the restroom, She gave them orders to tackle anyone who tried to leave. Feeling a bit useless up until now Sokkenai spoke up saying "I-i'll help stop anyone who tries to run as well incase they somehow get past." |

Jonny could not imagine how much all this damage was gonna cost at the end of the day, or who would have to pay for it. He just hoped it wasn't the school - it was in financial trouble enough as it was, without paying for damages caused by one of their students and an attacker that couldn't be identified. Jonny looked around, trying to find somewhere he could at least hide for a little while, without someone being hurt. Unfortunately, since X-ray vision was decidedly not on his list of available powers, he could only check the store immediately to his side. Still, better than nothing. Oh wait... his opponent had superspeed too, didn't he? "You honestly think you could hide for than an instant?!" The blur yelled in disbelief at Jonny's stupidity as it rushed into the shop after him, knocking away all the obstacles. Jonny was back out of the shop almost as quickly as he was in there, rushing down the mall to put a gap between him and his opponent. "Running from me shall not help you whatsoever!" The kick was delivered into his side, causing Jonny to go flying across the gap that separated both sides of the floor. And then he realised who happened to be over there. He managed to spot them just before he crashed, his impact in the wall beside the toilet, just short of one of Selene's men. He didn't take damage from the impact itself, but there were a number of jagged, broken concrete pieces sticking into body. He pulled himself free, only to find himself slammed back in by the blur, the wall behind him shattering. He could feel the blood rushing out of his body thanks to that, it spilling out onto the floor as he fell down into the woman's restroom. "Ugh... this is not going well." Admittedly, it was a little late for such an obvious statement, but would you be thinking straight after all this? He looked around, realising a few things: 1) The fact that this was the woman's restroom. 2) The fact that his friends were here. 3) He had slowed down enough for them to see him. 4) He still had a superspeed opponent to deal with. "Now guys I think you may wanna run-" He was about to finish, but he realised that it had been long enough as it was. He rolled out of the path of the blur's fist, and began dodging its strikes around the restroom, or deflecting them so noone was caught up in the fight. However, doors to stalls were less lucky, and one by one they were ripped through like plywood. Edited by Jonny, Nov 6 2010, 08:38 AM.

"Stop bleeding, stop bleeding..." Alex was sitting outside the toilet, pinching his nose in an attempt to stop the nosebleed. For those too lazy to read, please be noted that he was hit with a flying sink. The two girls were in the toilet, in search for the blasted thief while he stayed outside, accompanied by Sokkenai and two black suit-wearing thugs. As he sat there, he couldn't help noticing some crashing and smashing noises getting louder and louder every second. But that's not important. What's more important was that he gets his Gateway back. And, just in case, he's gonna teach that damn sticky hand a lot of lesson. Very sneaky of him, to hide in a woman's toilet. No one would expect a boy to hide in a woman's toilet. And he was hit by a sink because of that. As a punishment, that guy is gonna get a hundred times worse... No. Make it thous- BOOOOM!!! "What the f-" BOOOOM!!! Two consecutive deafening boom was more than enough to break his heart. One right behind him across the gap of the same floor, and another one not long after right inside the female restroom. And with his high-speed eyes, for the smallest fleeting second, he could see the silhouette of a boy in red shirt through the debris. "... Jonny?" He didn't have time to confirm, however, as he immediately disappeared again. But now, the entire bathroom was filled with cracks, smashes, crashes, explosions that seemed to come out of nowhere, literally decimating the whole toilet apart. "Crap..." Alex got up, staring at the disembodied carnage. ... Double crap. "Hey, get out of there! I said, GET OUT OF THERE!!!" Alex roared in a gigantic voice, forcing his way into the toilet, shoving everyone out of the area. He ducked and weaved as impacts from unknown sources made deep craters on the floor, the wall and the ceiling. As soon as he realized it, he grabbed both Selene's and Yuki's hand and dragged them out of the toilet as quickly as possible, away from impending doom. If he's right, every single one of those impacts could break a skull like a balloon. In a rush to get everyone out, he threw both of them outside while he himself stumbled and fell flat on his face. Cursing, he pushed himself up, and turned around... ~~Meanwhile~~ She had been running for quite a while. The loud destructive sounds comes and goes like sounds from a broken radio. But she didn't care. As she ran, scenes of destruction and havoc met her eyes. Scared, anxious, ... scared, she ran thoughtlessly with the little contraption in her hand- She yelled yet again, skidding slightly before stopping. Just now, something exploded from inside the shop across the floor. Then, moments after, another explosion occurred in the female toilet right in front of her. Too shocked by the unfolding event that she didn't even notice a boy going inside, shoving out all the occupants from the toilet, away from danger. Once she regained her senses, her eyes met with his... ...and turned around. His eyes met with the eyes of a boy in a blue t-shirt... Reality Overlap SYNCHRONIZING REALITY "Hey, you... YOU BASTARD!! COME BACK HERE!!!" "KYAAA!!!" Alex yelled with a thunderous voice at the girl, every thought about the toilet carnage disappeared from his head. It took a whole second for the girl to finally realize to whom he was talking to, and who he actually was. She gave a loud yelp and turned around, making a run for it in an attempt to escape from the death clutch of Alex's hand. Out of pure desperation, she turned her attention to the Gateway, pressing a few random buttons haphazardly. ORDERS RECEIVED. DELIVERY IN 3... 2... 1... Immediately a blue portal appeared right above her, and some sort of over-sized gun dropped into her hand. Not thinking much, she simply swung it around and pulled the trigger- BAANG!! A loud explosion, smokes and flares erupted from the gun barrel. What came out was not bullet. Instead, a large net, large enough to fold around three people, shot out of it, flying at high speed right at Alex. Well, no. She missed. Instead of Alex, the net flew instead to his other companions. Try not to be caught in it, as it's made from Kevlar. Like that's not enough, at the four corners of the net are magnetic locks. Anytime they're attached to each other, they're locked for good and only Alex knows how to unlock it. Edited by Fin, Nov 7 2010, 01:14 PM.

Dangerously Cheesy.

Yuki held off on paper-toweling her hair until they were able to clear the bathroom completely. Selene went on with her apologies to the giant woman who had since calmed down considerably when compared to her initial reaction. While Selene worked her British mannered magic, Yuki went along the stalls to the toilets and slowly pushed them open (the unlocked ones, at least). What was she hoping to find? Who knows, maybe some super computer that a careless thief left behind, perhaps. Or maybe a person in a ninja suit, crouched on a toilet, waiting to throw a smoke egg and disappear into thin air. The possibilities were quite endless. She reached the last stall, and the annoying spray sink pipe, and upon trying to push it open noticed it wouldn't move. Someone must've been in there. Yuki glanced under the door but no feet were present, strange. "Um, excuse me? You didn't happen to steal anything, did you?" she called out apprehensively to the stall. Not the best approach, but habits were hard to drop. At least her heart was in the right place? "Alright, I'm coming in! So...so be ready!" She mustered up her courage and took a deep breath to prepare herself for some sort of epic battle, kicked in the stall door and.... "I FOUND Y--" ...it was empty. "Eh?" Yuki faltered, falling forward slightly and nearly getting hit with the recoil of the door coming back in the opposite direction, but luckily she threw up a hand to stop it before it smacked her in the face. "But I thought Alex said..." It took her a few moments to take in the situation before reporting back to her female counterpart. "Selene-san! The thief isn't here!" Her point was emphasized like a bad TV action show as the sentence ended with a gigantic BOOM and bits of wall near the door exploded. Yuki let out a surprised yelp and naturally turned away from the explosion to shield her face, and once the movement seemed to stop she turned back around see what caused it. Luckily almost everyone had vacated the loo so there wasn't much to see (now having a clear view out into the mall), but that wasn't what caught her attention. Amongst the rubble lay a person in a red shirt who looked strikingly similar to... "Jonny-kun??" "Now guys I think you may wanna run--" He could hardly finish his sentence before he was gone in a blur, but the trail of carnage followed him and whatever he was dealing with. Unfortunately that carnage was the stalls of the bathroom in which Yuki and Selene were still residing. Seeing the walls get torn through like paper, Yuki began to panic as she imagined what those hits would do to her. Jonny was visible for moments, but it looked almost like he was teleporting from place to place to avoid being hit. The new threat completely overcame Yuki's desire to simply get out of the range of the water fountain behind her as now her life was at stake instead of maintaining dry clothes. She was frozen in place like a deer in headlights while she watched the stalls shatter before her. Luckily a voice of reason came to the rescue. "Hey, get out of there! I said, GET OUT OF THERE!!!" She had little need or time for a reaction as she felt someone's hand grab hers and pull her out of the bathroom and back to reality. Alex to the rescue, it looked like the tables had turned. The extraction was a bit violent as she was slung and stumbled to nearly lose her footing, accidentally crashing a shoulder into Sokkenai though not hard enough to knock him to the ground. "Ah! I'm sorry!" the soaking girl apologized with a bow. She looked like she'd just traversed through a thunderstorm, but this was the least of her worries as she watched Alex take off with a new turn of rage. Was that...girl he was chasing the person who'd stolen his item? She could've sworn she didn't see anyone leave the bathroom. Perhaps this was the suspect returning to the scene of the crime. Feeling the thrill of the chase, Yuki took off after the two in case Alex's cardiovascular system and adrenaline failed him (not that hers would be much better if that were the case). She was not expecting, however, Alex to dodge the bullet--no, net--that was fired at him and leave his trailing companions openly exposed to it. Little to no combat experience caused Yuki to fail to dodge out of the way, and instead to throw her arms up in front of her as if that would keep the net from hitting her. Oh, silly girl. Maybe she would learn one of these days. |

As Yuki searched the stalls, Selene stood watch near the entrance, in case the thief attempted to make a break past Yuki. And if s/he somehow managed to slip past the English heiress, there's still her two bodyguards and Sokkenai to contend with. "Sorry for the inconvenience," Selene said as some of the women left the toilet, moving past her - they were confirmed to be innocent, at least. The corporate heiress looked up as the pink-haired girl stopped at one of the stalls, whose door didn't open when she pushed it, indicating it was locked. "Um, excuse me? You didn't happen to steal anything, did you?" Selene held her breath, thinking (for a moment anyways) that they had the thief cornered although no reply was heard. Somehow, the English heiress was expecting a silent response - especially if said thief knew s/he was cornered, and probably too scared for words. "Alright, I'm coming in! So...so be ready!" The corporate heiress readied herself as Yuki made her move, the pink-haired girl kicking open the door to the bathroom stall, and Selene would be there to join her in an instant's notice to assist in subduing the crook. And if it weren't enough, there was still Sokkenai and her two bodyguards. "Selene-san! The thief isn't here!" Selene's 'on guard' expression dropped as Yuki revealed her shocking discovery. Could it be that the thief had escaped through a window, or was actually one of the so-called innocents that the English heiress had let through? "Then how come-" Before Selene could ask what might have happened, she was suddenly interrupted by a BOOM as the bathroom wall was busted right open by someone smashing into it at great speed. As the figure stopped momentarily, the two girls immediately realized who it was. "Jonny-kun??" And there he was, alive but not quite so well, Selene noticing that the boy had been through quite a scrape. But Jonny's unexpected arrival only introduced a new, dangerous element into the playing field, which he tried to warn them of. "Now guys I think you may wanna run--" In a manner truly befitting of a super speedster, Jonny was here one moment and gone the next, as he vanished in a speed blur, apparently tackled by another super speedster. Selene ducked and threw her hands over her head as the super speed brawl that ensued began wrecking sinks, bathroom stalls and furniture in the process. "Protect Miss Frostfire!" One of Selene's bodyguards - a Japanese in short black hair - said as he rose to his feet. The man had been unfortunate enough to be caught in the proximity when Jonny plowed into the ladies' bathroom with his adversary, and the impact sent him sprawling with a blanket of dust all over his Italian-tailored business suit. Concluding that their boss' daughter was facing an immediate danger to her life, his colleague - a taller Caucasian with buzz-cut brown hair responded by removing his weapon from a concealed holster underneath his suit jacket, a SIG Sauer P228, chambered for 9 x 19 mm parabellum rounds. His colleague responded likewise by unholstering an identical sidearm. Looking at each other and nodding, the two men moved into the ladies' bathroom, pistols in hand. "Freeze! Put your hands in the- oh sh*t!" The bodyguards arrived only to find a super speed brawl taking place, the belligerents smashing through bathroom stalls like they were cardboard. There was no way they could get a bead on whoever was moving around like that. "Frostfire-san, we need to get out of here!" the Japanese bodyguard as he approached Selene and Yuki. "Hey, get out of there! I said, GET OUT OF THERE!!!" Selene barely had the time to process what just happened, before Alex suddenly made his way in and grabbed both herself and Yuki by the hand, dragging the two girls to safety while the two bodyguards followed close behind, using their own bodies to shield the English heiress and her friends as they covered the trio's evacuation, their guns still trained (futilely) on the fight scene behind them. "Just what is going on?" Selene wondered aloud as a soaking-wet Yuki apologized to Sokkenai after bumping shoulder-first into the cryomancer, the English heiress taking off her beret and squeezing the headdress between her hands to wring out some of the water, herself having also taken quite a splashing from the sprays of water from burst pipes that were all over the ladies' bathroom as a result of Jonny's super speed battle. "Hey, wait up!" Selene called out as Yuki took off after Alex, herself joining the pink-haired girl in the chase after Alex ran off after someone with renewed rage, who was now in hot pursuit of a girl who was most likely the thief who took his Gateway. Up until the point when the mysterious waif suddenly summoned a gun of sorts through a glowing blue portal that appeared out of nowhere! "Bloody Hell! Oh, excuse my En-" Even when faced with a potential threat to her life, the corporate heiress still maintained enough concern towards her use of language, but the distraction was all that was needed for her to take her mind off what was really important - to get out of the line of fire. It was no bullet or death ray, however, as the English heiress found herself tangled up in a net that she had no way of breaking free, trapped like one of the mook adversaries webbed up by Spiderman. "Somebody get me out of this!" Selene exclaimed in a frustrated tone, as her bodyguard - the brown-haired one - got down on one knee in a vain attempt to free his charge. His Japanese colleague however, had his eyes on another matter... "Drop your weapon!" The bodyguard ordered, in a calm but authoritative tone as he raised his handgun at the girl who just fired, keeping his weapon trained on the girl as he began to slowly inch his way towards her. For now, his index finger remained off the pistol's trigger guard, indicating he was not intending to shoot, but was nonetheless ready to resort to lethal force if needed be. Sokkenai stood outside the restroom waiting in case someone ran out when suddenly he heard massive booms coming from inside the bathroom just as he was about to run in to see what the source was Alex, Yuki and Selene came out. With Yuki running into him, he quickly asked "A-are you okay?" Before Yuki could respond to him she was already off running after Alex who had apparently found the thief who took his "gateway." Still wondering what was happening and whether to go after them still confused, it took him a few moments for his brain to fully process what happened but as soon as it did he took off after the three of them. As he ran to catch up he saw the person being chased activate the gateway and fire a gun at them which Alex dodged it, unfortunatly the net was heading for them now. Noticing it Sokkenai moved to the side at the last moment, looking at the now trapped Yuki and Selene and then over at Alex, Sokkenai decided to help Yuki and Selene first the next seemed very durable, so he would have to get something very sharp. As one of Selene's bodyguard was trying in vain to get the net to open Sokkenai said "M-move please, I'll open it." he then manipulated an axe out of ice before saying."S-Selene, Yuki please keep extremely still." After saying that and waiting a few moments he made a little ice wall between where they were and where he was going to cut so he wouldn't accidently hurt them. After making the wall he swung down with all his strentgh with the aim of cutting the most likely sharp net destroying the ice wall in the process. |

Water droplets were either being kept tossing about in the air, or disappearing altogether, sticking to the clothes of a super fast teenager. However, it wasn't the cold touch, or the wet that was getting to him. It was how long this whole fight was going on. He'd been lucky, noone seriously hurt or injured from this fight. But he'd just had his friends nearly caught in the crossfire - who knew how long till they actually were. Slip "Nononono!" He cried as he fell, the water having screwed up his traction just enough for the fall to be possible. Sure, running on water at his speeds was more than possible, but that was with large quantities that had a decent enough surface. This was one of those lousy little puddles. Everybody had slipped on one of those at some point or another. This was just one of the worst points possible. The blur's hand forced him down faster, leaving a small impact crater in the flaw. He made a struggle to get free, but as he moved, he realised something. His speed... ...it was gone! "H-how...? Ugh!" Jonny struggled to ask the question as his head has raised and slammed down again, him feeling pain in such a way for the first time in over a decade. "AAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!" Thankfully the wound was not too serious, but the lack of actually feeling such pain for so long meant he was feeling extra sensitive to it. "So dependant on our ability to go beyond the sound barrier eh? You really are a pathetic waste of potential." The blur was beginning to slow, and Jonny could begin to make out some features clearly. His shape and size indicated that he was young, maybe even only a few years older than Jonny. "If it weren't for the fact we still need you in the time to come, I would vibrate this little hand of mine until your head exploded as a hand. You're gonna have to come a long way before you're ready for the ascension to begin. Considering your performance here, I'm surprised you'll actually be up for it in the end." Jonny struggled again and again, his legs flailing wildly, but to no avail. "W-what are you on about...?" "Uh-uh-uh, can't give away everything, just a few clues here and there. Besides, that would take a while, and I've got to go now. So see you progenitor." The blur cackled as he released Jonny, who tremored slightly as the blur began to fade from his sight. "Oh, and by the way. Your death came quick." Jonny lay there, contemplating the blur's words. This 'ascension' had him worried, as too did the 'we' part - that meant this guy wasn't working alone. But lastly, the way he talked about his death... "Is... is he going to kill me...?" The question rang about his head, as his blood flowed outwards into the water around him. |

One does not simply eat one packet of mee goreng

The net was cut off rather easily by the axe. ... Not much to say here. Turn your attention to the more interesting part of the story. Sure, he doesn't intend to shoot, but that didn't make the girl any less shaky than she already was. You could even say her shivering intensified, as though there's an earthquake in the vicinity. The Net Gun was still up in front of her, aimed at the general direction of the rest of them. Shaking, of course. Sweat poured down her face as the bodyguard took steps after steps closer to her. And his loud booming voice did not calm her down. Step, Step, Ste-"HYAAaaAAaaAAAA!!!" He just walked right through her comfort zone and into her private compound, which covers an area of seven meters radius sphere around her. Panicked, she immediately pulled the trigger to the Net Gun, unleashing the whole clip to her pursuer. A large net was cast right at the Japanese bodyguard, and yet another net flying right at Alex. He didn't care much for the fate of the bodyguard, because he had his eyes fixed on the thief, who continued pulling the trigger even after the barrel has completely emptied. Only after half-a-dozen pull did she throw the gun aside, turning around in an attempt to escape. Without much of an effort, Alex reflexively sidestepped out of the nets' line of fire. As it passed his face, he lifted his hand and caught the net by one of the magnetic lock. There was a slight pause between this and the next scene, as he stared at her back with menacing demonic eyes, his fangs bared and he was emanating an aura of pure wrath and hatred. "You dare to use my own invention against me?!" He spun around once on his heels, swinging the net over his head like a lasso, before flinging it right at the girl. The net flew towards her and wrapped around her legs causing her to lose her balance and topple over face first to the ground with a loud yelp. As she attempts to push herself back up, somebody grabbed her by the collar, turned her around and- WHAM!!! A solid fist of Alex Fin landed fast and hard on her face. A punch filled with nothing but the intent to kill. "So. You want to try that again?" "H-hey!" The girl spoke up, clutching her broken nose, tears welling in her eyes, "How could you hit a girl?!" Alex, with his left hand full of her collar and his right fist high up in the air, froze for a moment. Whait. What? A girl? But I thought... he was... but the bathroom... ... "WHAT THE HELL DO I CARE?!?!?!" He yelled, slamming yet another fist right at her jaw. Oioioi. Alex, aren't you taking it a little bit too far? "FOR ALL I CARE, YOU ARE A THIEF!! YOU STEAL FROM OTHERS WITH LITTLE TO NO CARE ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES!! YOU BRING NOTHING BUT MISERY TO OTHERS!!" As he continued his rant, an image of the person he hated the most flashed through his mind. He gritted his teeth, raising his arm high up to the air to deliver yet another blow, "DIDN'T YOUR MOTHER EVER TOLD YOU NOT TO-!!" "DON'T TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER LIKE THAT!!" OI! Somebody stop him! Chosen of Ares

"S-Selene, Yuki please keep extremely still." Selene's bodyguard moved aside as Sokkenai stepped forward. "Now why do I have a bad feeling about this?" The English heiress wondered as she felt a sudden chill due to the wall of ice created by the cryomancer, her eyes widening slightly as she watched Sokkenai form an axe of ice. Was he seriously attempting to cut the net? "Better do as Sokkenai-kun says, Yuki-chan!" Selene called out to her pink-haired friend as she held her breath and closed her eyes. A loud crack was heard, and as Selene opened her eyes she found that the wall of ice that was meant to protect herself and Yuki had shattered, while the net itself was cut by Sokkenai's axe of ice. "I say, a knife would've been a more practical option," The corporate heiress muttered. "But thanks anyway, Sokkenai-kun." With the net cut, the English heiress' bodyguard stepped forward to remove the tattered remnants of the net from Selene and Yuki before casting it aside. Rising to her feet, Selene took hold of Yuki's hand to pull her up onto her feet. "Come on, let's get back to Alex and-" Selene found herself cut off as she caught sight of Alex viciously attacking the thief - who turned out to be a girl all along, just after the boy had hit her hard with the first punch. "Cor blimey!" Selene shouted as she ran towards Alex. "Alex! Don't do this - hey, I need some help here!" The English heiress called out to her bodyguards. Selene and her Japanese bodyguard made a lunge at Alex, grabbing the boy by his arms while her Caucasian bodyguard grabbed the girl by her right arm, pulling her up to a standing position. First things first, it was to establish some semblance of order and get Alex to calm down before someone gets killed! Edited by Lawman, Nov 23 2010, 07:35 AM.

Dangerously Cheesy.

Yuki followed suit with Selene and ducked behind the ice wall as he approached with his icy weapon. The giant forged blade seemed like overkill given the fact that it probably could've been sliced, but at least they could rest assured it would work the first time. The boy swung, and as the ice wall crashed down, Yuki instinctively held her arms up over her face. Something about flying ice shards unsettled her, and that was probably for good reason. Having one lodged in her eyeball would be the icing on the cake for this crazy day. She nodded to Selene in appreciation as she was helped to her feet, then looked to their ice-wielding rescuer. "Thanks, Sokkenai-kun! I thought we were going to be stuck in there until Alex regained his senses..." "Come on, let's get back to Alex and--" Yuki also thanked the bodyguard for helping them out of the net and redirected her attention to what Selene had spotted, which was Alex who seemed intent on beating the life out of this girl he'd caught. Yuki was somewhat surprised a girl ended up being the thief, but she was even more shocked to see Alex start pummeling her with his fist. It was understood the lost technology was a big deal, but hammering her senseless wasn't going to fix that problem. She was even MORE surprised when one of the bodyguards and Selene herself jumped forward to pry the boy off of her. Wasn't she afraid of being caught with one of his punches in his blind rage? Yuki got flustered as soon as the Brit called out for help, and luckily the guards rushed to her aid. Her "help" probably would've been something along the lines of saying "please stop, that'd be really awesome and greatly appreciated!" The thief and Richie Rich were separated by the two burly men, one's face bloody from the punching and the other's red from anger. Hopefully he wouldn't redirect that anger elsewhere. "Did you...get back what you lost, Alex?" Yuki asked apprehensively. "It's probably best to do that while she's still alive..." As this issue continued to hopefully resolve itself, she wondered, was Jonny still out there fighting? The crashes and screams had stopped, but she wasn't sure if he had or not. Hopefully he wasn't, you know, lying somewhere in his own pool of blood. Either way, one thing was for sure. She'd had enough shopping for one day. |

"I-i suppose so, I just wanted to make sure I cut it on the first swing." Sokkenai replied as Selene stated her opinion. He just used the axe to make sure that he would cut the net and not spend to much time busy on the net while Alex ran off. He was happy that they weren''t injured. Especially since he was trying to rescue the pair of them instead of trying to harm them by accident, if they had moved he might of accidentaly hit them with his axe along with the ned and that would be an extremely bad thing. "Come on, let's get back to Alex and-" Sokkenai spotted Alex beating up the girl along with Yuki and Selene, this was starting to look bad. Selene and one of her bodyguard tried to restrain Alex while the other bodyguard went to hold the girl. Sokkenai didn't really know what to do so he stood on the side of the fight in case either of them tried to hit the other one or do something else. "C-calm down. We can get this sorted out without anyone else getting hurt anymore." While his suggestion would probably be ridiculed Sokkenai didn't want to have any more violence then there already was. If the fighting did stop then it would be much better so it can be solved with words instead of violence if that was even possible. |

"Let go of me, you two! That runt needs to be taught a lesson!" "IT WAS FOR MY MOM, ALRIGHT!!" The girl yelled out in a muffled voice, clutching her bleeding mouth. And I won't deny it. Alex really did went too far. This, however, did stop him from trying to wriggle himself free so that he could ram his fist into her guts. He was very curious as to what motivated her to steal from a hot-blooded wrathful guy like him. Of course, she would never have thought of him to be a hot-blooded wrathful guy. But still... "What do you mean, for your mother?" "She's sick... She's at the hospital and she needs treatment. But we don't have any money to pay for the medical bill... We're poor, okay?! Dad went missing years ago and mom had been working hard just to get us food! Now she's sick and I don't want her to die! She's... she's the only one I have left..." She faltered, her voice shaking slightly. If one looked closer, they could see her eyes watering. Alex simply stared at her with his poker face. Bleh. This is just your typical cliched tragic villain character. Now really. This is just like in the movies. So, if he did it just like in the movies, will the results be just like in the movies? Tempted to try it out, he yanked himself free from Selene and his bodyguard and walked over to the girl. "Don't worry. I won't kill her," That's what he said. True, he won't kill her. He's just gonna give her a little lecture about- WHAAM!!! "OOOWWW!!!" "ARE YOU A ****ING IDIOT?!?!" Right. He won't kill her. He's just gonna hit her on the head with his knuckle using a much bigger force than the one he just used to break her teeth. But this one had much less wrath in it. It was more like he's intending to give a scold rather than torture. A very harsh scold, that is. "YOU THINK YOUR MOTHER WOULD BE HAPPY IF SHE KNEW HER MEDICAL BILL WAS PAID USING STOLEN MONEYS?!?! YOU THINK SHE'D PRAISE YOU IF SHE KNEW YOU HAD BEEN STEALING FROM OTHERS?!?! YOU IDIOT!! NO MOTHER WOULD WANT THEIR CHILDREN TO BECOME CRIMINALS EVEN IF IT COSTS THEM THEIR LIVES!! IF SHE KNEW HER DAUGHTER WAS A THIEF SHE WOULD DEFINITELY DISOWN YOU!!" Okay, he's probably going over the top a little bit. But he didn't regret saying any of it, mostly because he knew what he said was right. Heaving his chest as he took his breath, the girl turned her head away after spending a few seconds staring at him wide-eyed and open-mouthed in shock. "But... what..." Alex rubbed his forehead with his hand, contemplating the situation with exasperation. Surely, could things get even more cliched than this? After giving a sigh, he picked up his Gateway from the floor and traced something on it. ORDERS RECEIVED. PREPARING FOR DELIVERY... Immediately two blue portals appeared at his side, and four big luggage fell out of it. Judging from the size, each one of the could easily fill- "500,000,000 yen. Each. That should cover it," Without saying anything anymore, he turned around and left her staring wordlessly at the four luggage full of money. "Damn. Kids these days are so troublesome..." Now. Is he forgetting something? "Eh... Wait... ...!!" Ah. Now he remembered. Immediately after turning his back on them, he rushed ahead to the toilet he just left behind. And, lying there in a pool of his own blood... Jonny. For some strange reason, blood rushed to his face. His hands shook, curling up into fists. He gritted his teeth hard, tasting powdered bones in his mouth. It was weird. They hadn't known each other THAT long to warrant being cared for by Alex. Then why did he felt like looking around for the culprit and beating the shit out of them? But from the looks of it, the culprit was long gone. And it's pointless trying to look for someone you don't even know. So for now, "Yuki! Call the ambulance. Jonny's injured. Real bad. Selene, Sokkenai! I trust you two to give him emergency medical treatment. Make sure he stays alive until help arrives. Unless you can just call your family's personal medical team. Might be faster that way," Aren't you being a bit more loose than usual, to call them your friends? |
