Zander's job with keeping an eye on the Wo-Shing lead him to strange parts of town at night. It was a bit tiring but he didn't mind. The Wo-Shing needed stopped, that was the only thing in life he knew to be absolutely true. Not for Jameson, not for the government, but because they were a serious threat to Hyakuji. Zander took solace in the sheer black-and-white ease of that situation. In all the morally ambiguous soul searching he was doing THIS he understood.

But as he was walking home he realized just how tired he was. Because it was night and dark his partner Freki was walking at his side in full wolf form. It's steady slow strides were a calming metronome on this otherwise dull trek. If was dark enough that passersby could mistake it as just a 'big dog' which was good. Freki didn't like being kept in that silly pup form when he didn't have to be. For a pack leader it was apparently quite humiliating to be reduced to that.

He yawned a bit continuing down the dimly lit path. His hands tucked deep into denim pockets. His casual button down replacing the more silly outfit he wore before. Meanwhile headphones hung around his neck with the dreamweaver's core system attached to his hip. To all the world it was a c-d player. But in truth it's power was much more interesting. Nothing that would blow the mind of a seasoned Hyakujian but still quite unique.

"I wonder if I'll run into Setsuna again.." Zander said rubbing his neck with one hand kept in his pocket. Freki looked to him curiously for only a moment before turning away. "It was nice to meet someone who seemed to have lost their way like me.. This whole city is full of interesting people." He said to the wolf, but really to himself. He was finding Hyakuji to be exactly the sort of place he wanted to be. A place full of people with complicated pasts and interesting expressions.. and it seemed everywhere you went you met someone new..

Heaven wandered down the street, gazing around her in quiet curiosity. The buildings seemed similar, if a lot newer than most parts of the Vatican, which came as no surprise to her. The smell however did. Everywhere she walked she could smell the reek of evil, as if it had attached itself to every available surface. A dark miasma hung over this town, and she shivered with excitement thinking of all the purifying she would be able to do.

A cool breeze blew past her, shuffling her hair into her face, briefly annoying her. Without breaking her brisk walk she flipped her long hair back over her shoulder and continued down the rough street. Her long heels never found any of the numerous potholes or cracks, as if they had a mind of their own, swerving and dodging around potential pitfalls. Various shop-keeps called to her, and she could feel the eyes of men on her like the eyes of the devil himself, burning into her skin. She shrugged off the feeling of disgust, and kept her cool composure as she had trained herself to do for many years. Their time would come to be purified, once she had settled herself in.

Ahead of her, she noticed a curious pair, a man and a large dog walking slowly down the street. People who got too close to the dog seemed to shy away, eyeballing it warily, before continuing on. Sensing supernatural power on the boy, she quietly walked past him, letting a page from her book fall out in front of him. She quietly turned a corner and leaned against the wall, crossing her arms. She waited for the boy to catch up, wondering how he would react, if at all.

Zander was snapped out of his daze as person walked past him purposefully. However it seemed they had dropped some document. He glanced around but by looking to the paper he'd lost sight of them. He really was acting far too absent minded lately. Zander reached down picking up the paper with a frown. He glanced to Freki. 'Can you find the owner of this?' He said through their telepathic link. It wasn't like it would be hard to catch up to the woman who had just passed.

'Of course I can she is right over there.. But try not to so blatantly abuse my services. I'm not YOUR pet, you're mine..' With this Freki motioned with his muzzle to where the woman had gone.

"Ah, thanks master." Zander said sarcastically, aloud. he walked quickly towards where she had been previously. "Hey!" He said calling out to her. "You dropped some weird paper back here.." He wondered, momentarily, why he had bothered. Especially since it could be a trap or an assassin after his life. But he had been trying recently to learn to trust people just a bit more. Maybe a dropped paper WAS just a dropped paper?

He had to try to believe that. Otherwise his military-grade paranoia would never subside. The fact he was even having this much worry over a paper was a clear sign that he needed to loosen up. Besides, it was karmic.. Maybe if he helped her someday some stranger would help him...

PFFT. fat chance.

The piece of paper glowed briefly as the boy came around the corner, but the boy didn't stop. Satisfied, Heaven smiled kindly at him and looked down at what she thought had been a dog before. Now in the light she could see that it was actually a wolf, and its eyes held a kind of intelligence to them that she didn't like.

'Great, looks like I've already met one of the students' she thought to herself.

She ignored the urge to grab her baton, which was carefully hidden underneath her shirt, behind her back. Smiling, she reached for the paper, putting the boy between her and the wolf in the process. Pushing her glasses up, she smiled coolly at the boy and put the page back in her book, where it seemed to stick like magic after only being pushed lightly in. Crossing her arms, she leaned forward a bit to get a better look at his face in the dim light.

"Thank you, my name is Mrs. Anderson, I appreciate you returning my paper to me. Bless you for being such a kind soul," she said softly, the silver cross around her waist glinting in the light. "I realize we just met, but perhaps you could tell me your name and where I might find the local Church?" she folded her hands before her and looked deep into the boys eyes, looking for any reaction to her words. Her baton was a comforting presence on her back, and her faith was a constant companion.

"Ah..." He rubbed his neck. "A church.. Like a Christian one..? Do we even have one..?" Hes aid looking around. "It's Japan so it's not exactly like they are common.." He said with a frown. So now that he had returned her paper she was asking favors of him? What kind of crazy entitled mooch was she to think that just because a person spared two seconds to help you out you could make them do errands for you? He sighed and tried to remember a church.

Honestly it was a weird question. Christianity in Japan was exceedingly rare and even when it did exist it was usually one large church that provided service for a large area of people because of the small size of the community. "I tihnk we have a baptist church, is that okay?" He said wondering why she needed one anyhow? Was she some sort of sinner or maybe a saint? She did say stuff like 'bless you' so maybe?

Either way he'd help her out for a bit longer. There was no harm in it and it wasn't like he was particularly busy. Even if he was tired there was always time to help out a bit. Karma and all that jazz, right?

"I think we have a baptist church, is that okay?"

Heaven merely smiled at the boy, wondering exactly what he meant by that. "That's weird, as far as I know there is no christian church around here, nor has there ever been one. Besides, Baptists aren't real Christians anyway," she said with a smile, her words laced with ice. Catching herself, she decided to change the subject for now.

"That's an interesting animal there," she said quietly, her eyes lit with a strange light. Crouching down, she stared into its eyes with a thoughtful expression on her face. "I would say this was a large dog or perhaps wolf, but I would be wrong, wouldn't I? Large animals wouldn't look at me like that," she said, never breaking her gaze from the wolf.

Various people walked by the entrance to the alley, looking curiously in their direction, only seeing a woman crouching down, and a young man with a large dog between her and the entrance.

"No.. It's just a dog." He said slowly, with a small smile. "A husky, very big tough dog. They're pretty smart.. for dogs." He said looking directly at her with a perfectly even voice. Learning to lie was just one of the many things an agent had to learn. Even so it wasn't very likely that she truly understood what Freki was and because of this he was going to continue to downplay it even if she pressed the issue. The last thing he needed was people learning his secrets.

"Listen, if you don't need anything else then i'm leaving.. okay?" He said in a somewhat cross tone. She had annoyed him with this Freki thing. He didn't like when people tried to sleuth him like a couple kids in a detective book. It meant they didn't trust him and were looking for oddities. People only looked deeply into seemingly small things when they had something to prove or when they felt that just below the surface was a troubling truth.

With that in mind Zander had decided his good Samaritan badge was firmly earned and it was time to cut his losses before this chick tried to corner him with something.

Heaven merely smiled up at him and returned her gaze to the dog, her eyes blazing. 'Oh he has something to hide indeed,' she thought to herself. She ruffled the 'dogs' head and stood up slowly, straightening out her clothes in the process. 'All things in due time,' she thought. There would be plenty of time to observe the students at Hyakuji High, she need not be in a rush now.

"Everything I need is provided by God's grace, my child," she said with a smile. "And by God's grace, we all wake up in the morning, remember that," she said, her smile never faltering. She patted him on the cheek as she walked by, heading for the entrance way to the alleyway. "Thanks once again for your generosity," she said over her shoulder. "Kindness is one of the greatest virtues, besides patience."
