It was much too eerie walking back into this place. Walking onto campus and seeing students and staff walking about as if nothing had ever been the matter. The school looked exactly the same. The grounds looked exactly the same. There was no evidence the world had been destroyed and rebuilt. Nothing residual to show for the struggle of those who put their lives on the line to bring it back. It was returning to your homeland you and all your friends protected only to get off the plane and have no one there to greet you. No congratulations, no ceremony, nothing. Ayane walked back to Fudo in silence, society expecting her to just go back to what she was doing. Even her room was unchanged from before she'd been tossed to the World of Legacy. The bed was unkempt, there were various notes on the desk, and there were her clothes hanging in the closet. Dropping her things onto the floor she walked slowly over to the desk and opened the bottom drawer. Even the nekomimi were in place. Closing the drawer, Ayane walked with a lethargic gait over to her bed and plopped down face-first into it, ignoring the low din of voices belonging to Hyakuji's remaining populus. "Tada...ima," she said to the matress. Edited by Ayane Isuzu, Mar 31 2010, 08:29 AM.

... Everything was as it was when they left it. That was probably the most shocking thing of all for Aisia. It was as if none of the whole world-ending events of the Kingdom Hearts arc had ever happened. None of the fighting, none of the worlds being destroyed, none of the potentially fatal battles she had with Ayane, who was now face down on the bed, had ever happened. It was some kind of sick and twisted irony that Aisia would have to experience a world reset twice, though arguably this one was better since everyone still remembered her. Slowly, she slid up next to Ayane on the bed and just hit it face down too. It was weird. It felt like they've been apart for so long, and yet for the world, it was just a day or so ago. "... Yes, Ayane, we're home," she muttered into the sheets, her own fingers gingerly dancing next to Ayane's. No longer did Light or Dark matter - they weren't hurting each other just by sheer proximity anymore (though arguably, other things got hurt the last time they were this close and intimate). And yet there was that small barrier between them, the one that didn't deny that just a few weeks ago, they had almost tried to kill each other. She wanted to hold her. She wanted to just hug Ayane and just be able to touch her and kiss her again, but she was also pretty tired. "... well shit. What do you want to do now?..." she mumbled into the sheets again. |

Ayane's whole body tensed, her breath stopped as Aisia's familiar form fell beside her on the bed. Apprehension took over--was the Light and Dark still there? No... no. It didn't feel like it. She didn't feel sick, just tired. Still... she couldn't shut out her memories of the past year. For Hyakuji it might have been a day, but for her she had been to other worlds. Had aged. Had been with other people. Had flown her own Gundam. Had turned against the forces of Good. Had turned against someone she'd sworn to love and protect. Had... even acted violently upon her and others. Aisia's fingers timidly moving near her own didn't help, either. They must have both been thinking the same things, that just a few days ago they were bitter enemies. However, there was one thought... one last little bit of logic that undid the silence that was threatening to take Ayane over. From this world's point of view... we're still lovers. So Ayane took Aisia's gentle hand and intertwined her own fingers, turning her head and looking at the weary platinum-blonde-haired girl laying beside her. "It's... finally over. Just like I said, Dark or Light... it didn't matter in the end. They don't exist here. So... Aisia," she said, squeezing Aisia's hand, "...can you forgive me for that? For the... me back in Traverse Town. For the me in Legacy?" They hadn't talked about that bit, either. The last thing Ayane had been able to say to Aisia before they parted for the final time until reuniting just now was an epiphany. Without knowing it--time paradoxes were convenient that way--she and Aisia had been involved before meeting on Hyakuji. The Aisia that Ayane knew from Legacy, the Ayane that Aisia knew from Legacy... they were those people, albeit from different times. Now here they were, finally able to share a common world yet burdened with the knowledge no one else in Hyakuji had. That there were many sins they'd both collected over what was a mere 24 hours for everyone else. Until that burden was dealt with, Ayane wouldn't feel comfortable. The same awkwardness that surrounded them now would just continue. She didn't want that! As much as Aisia did--maybe more!--she wanted to just hold Aisia close, hug her for hours, kiss her everywhere and fall asleep intertwined. The barrier of secrets was just... in the way. |

"... Ah..." Aisia gasped lightly at Ayane's touch as she wrapped her fingers around hers. "It's... finally over. Just like I said, Dark or Light... it didn't matter in the end. They don't exist here. So... Aisia ...can you forgive me for that? For the... me back in Traverse Town. For the me in Legacy?" "... Idiot. I'm the one who should be asking that for saying all those hurtful things the first time." Aisia squeezed Ayane's hand back and looked at her. The same person she sent back thinking that she was looking for a different Aisia. The same person she met before she even thought of... well, playing for the other team. That same person that she comforted for one night when she finally came to her senses and joined the Hatsunejima Defense Force. "..." That last thought made her blush a bit as she shuffled closer to her lover along the bed. True, Ayane wasn't really herself back then when she decided to give in to the other girl's desires, but that wasn't the point. The point was, Ayane made Aisia do a lot of things she wouldn't have dreamed of doing on her own. Like love another girl. Or release with her inhibitions. Or allow herself to be violated. "..." Aisia squeezed Ayane's hand tighter at that last thought. There wasn't any other person she would dream of doing such things with. That kind of made "saying I'm sorry" or asking for forgiveness kind of a moot point with her. Sakura was right. Just as their love would have eventually brought Jun'ichi and Nemu back together without outside help, so would it bring Aisia and Ayane back in each other's arms. Well, granted, it almost killed them, but still. Then she grinned. If there was anything Ayane should learn by now, it's that when Aisia grins, things happen. Perverted things. The kind of things you totally shouldn't expect from someone with a Light alignment. "Though... you have a point. I mean... you did... rape me. That's not so easily forgivable. Tell me, my dear, how do you plan to make up for that?..." |

Gulp. So far, they had been silent. Aisia had moved closer, squeezed her hand more tightly, but after asking for forgiveness in return they'd been drowned in just one another's breathing as far as sound had gone. However, there was one thing... one difference in Aisia's actions that set off alarms in Ayane's mind. She smiled. Not just smiled, but smiled widely, that sinister smile which always seemed to lead to hours that the other girl would wonder whether to regret or relish. "Though... you have a point. I mean... you did... rape me. That's not so easily forgivable. Tell me, my dear, how do you plan to make up for that?..." Aisia spoke softly, a voice that to an untrained listener would sound full of disappointment. To Ayane, she knew exactly what lay behind that thin veil of playful acting. She had to... delay it. At least. If she couldn't stop it--and given their history, it was likely she wouldn't be able to--then it needed to be delayed. Delayed and then taken out all at once. So she said the one thing that might throw Aisia off. That might make her honestly angry, that might either make this situation worse or at least relieve the pressure on Isuzu's end. "W-wait. Before that, there's one more thing I have to confess," she said hurriedly, then took a deep breath and just... let fly. "Kazuna Kenzaki from BOARD. Kamen Rider Blade. She and I, well I mean I... We..." Ayane looked away from Aisia's face, not wanting to see what her playful grin would twist into. "...I'm sorry. Kazuna came to visit while I was in the hospital, and the Dark got the better of me... I couldn't resist, I wasn't thinking... I'm sorry." In the back of her mind, Ayane was wondering how many days it would take to recover from whatever was about to happen. As she recalled, the record for a recovery period was about two days. This one might just break it... among other things. |

What would come next was probably the last thing the sorta reunited couple would expect. Unknown to both Aisia and Ayane there was a third person in the room, asleep in a bed that was normally empty. Well, she was asleep until Ayane had mentioned the person by name. Kenzaki...Kazuna. Either way, at that the small girl began shuffling around in bed and eventually sitting up, trying to rub the sleep out of her eyes.![]() A loud yawn later, the "intruder" of sorts would finally say something. "Yes...who called me...?" it was also obvious that mentally, she was still asleep. |

Aisia was really just teasing Ayane, but she wasn't expecting the sudden confession from her. "W-wait. Before that, there's one more thing I have to confess, Kazuna Kenzaki from BOARD. Kamen Rider Blade. She and I, well I mean I... We..." Ayane stammered. It didn't take a genius to realize what exactly it was she was talking about that they did. Ayane looked away, most likely because she was afraid of what Aisia would say. "...I'm sorry. Kazuna came to visit while I was in the hospital, and the Dark got the better of me... I couldn't resist, I wasn't thinking... I'm sorry." Aisia... sighed. Her heart hurt from the words - but in a way she was glad that Ayane wasn't hiding things from her either. Still... it did hurt. After all, they'd been apart for God knows how long, and she'd been trying her best to try and find her again only to have this happen!... "..." No, that wasn't entirely true. Aisia had been petty once too - veiling her own feelings for someone else in the guise of wanting Kotori become happy with Jun'ichi. She was guilty of such things too, even if it was never consummated. Besides, it seemed like it wasn't something that Ayane was completely in control of either. "... I guess that's... one more thing to add to the list of things that isn't as easily forgivable. I'm... to be honest, I'm not sure what to make of it. It's not like you were in control, but at the same time... you don't seem to hold any feelings for her." She'd only briefly met Kazuna during the defense of Shinya, and she didn't really hold any ill will towards her, so that only added to her confusion. Perhaps if they'd met under less complicated circumstances, then - "Yes...who called me...?" "... Eh?" Aisia quickly bolted upright on the bed and stared at the source of the voice. It was Kazuna. In a pair of purple pajamas, and sleeping in the other unused bed. Or at least, it WAS unused. "Eh... EHHHHH!? Why? Why is she here!?" she whimpered. |

Aisia sighed. Ayane closed her eyes tightly, not sure what to expect. "... I guess that's... one more thing to add to the list of things that isn't as easily forgivable. I'm... to be honest, I'm not sure what to make of it. It's not like you were in control, but at the same time... you don't seem to hold any feelings for her," Aisia said, this time her voice held real disappointment. It wasn't playful--she really was saddened. Ayane bit her lip. She wasn't sure how to answer that. She loved Aisia, she really did. They'd been through so much together, and she felt a pang in her heart whenever they were forced apart. She couldn't bear to see Aisia hurt. If that wasn't love, she wasn't sure what was. Kazuna... she may not have done what she had if the Dark hadn't existed to remove her inhibitions. However, it wasn't like she was a different person. It wasn't like the Dark was a being of its own, controlling her body against her will. It merely made suggestions. Her will had always been her own that time. It was her who said all those things to Kazuna. She couldn't say with 100% confidence that she felt nothing for that girl. So she didn't. Besides, Kazuna was part of that false world! Now that Hyakuji was back, she wouldn't still be around. She'd go back to wherever she came from. Maybe then Ayane wouldn't have to come to grips with it--it would resolve itself. "Yes...who called me...?" came Kazuna's voice, as if from Ayane's memories. It made her blink. Why would she think of something like that? "...eh?" Aisia perked up, jerking up suddenly and staring across the room. Ayane followed suit, realizing that if Aisia heard it then it wasn't in her mind. It was real. "Eh... EHHHH!? Why? Why is she here!?" Ayane just stared in disbelief at Kazuna sitting half-asleep in the other bed. The room had always been designed to house more people than just Ayane and Aisia, but no one had ever been assigned to take the remaining spots. The bed Kazuna was on had always been unused, and frankly they were thinking about asking that it be removed. "Kazuna!? Why are you in this room?" Ayane asked, though she had a feeling the answer was already obvious. Kazuna herself would have to confirm it, but it seemed their new roommate had been decided. Kazuna Kenzaki had joined Hyakuji High School. Such misfortune! This is such misfortune! |

Kazuna merely stifled another yawn, making it blatantly apparent that she was just terrible at getting out of bed, and as such the surprised screams and questions merely went in one ear and out the other, the full effect of this problematic situation just not hitting her at all. Either way, she did at least understand the questions she was asked and tried her best to answer them...as well as a barely conscious person could, anyway. "I was sleeping...moving all my stuff here was hard..." she replied, still rubbing her eyes with one hand, and gesturing to some bags on the floor that she hadn't gotten around to unpacking, sans the mess caused by her changing into pajamas. Of course it still didn't explain why she was in the town Hyakuji itself, or for that matter why she was part of this school. |

Aisia could only open and close her mouth like a drowning goldfish as Kazuna tried to explain what she was doing here. Well, barely explain it, as she seemed to be wandering between two worlds herself, that of the living and that of the dream world. However, one thing was clear. If Kazuna was moving here, then that meant she was a student of Hyakuji. "I... wha!? How come we never heard of this until now!?" Aisia groaned, completely ignoring the fact that for the past few days, weeks, maybe even months, the world as they knew it didn't really have time to tell them about such a trivial thing. Either that or this happened almost as soon as they got back. The sad part was, the only thing she could think of at this point was that they couldn't do it anymore. |

Ayane, however, was thinking something a little different. It wasn't that she wouldn't be able to do fun things with Aisia anymore, but rather it was that the source of all her stress had been plopped down in front of her and would be staying a while. Kazuna Kenzaki, probably the only person who'd be able to get anywhere even remotely between herself and Aisia... and now they all lived together. There was a muffled thump as Ayane's head hit her pillow again. This was all way too much too soon. She'd already been thrown for a loop merely walking through Hyakuji, and now this. Her mind was about to shut down, so sleep seemed like the best answer. Turning over to face Aisia, she reached up and pulled the other girl back down beside her, yanking the comforter up over the both of them. She'd properly get under the sheets if she weren't too tired to bother getting up again. "Let's... deal with this later. Maybe if we sleep it off, it'll just go away." Maybe... it's all just a recurring nightmare. I'll wake up refreshed and things will make sense again. That's... got to be it. |

"Because I only registered at Hyakuji and moved in today..." Kazuna answered, still half asleep. It was apparent that she was really trying hard to actually explain things but sleep was winning this long battle, and the moment Ayane had even mentioned the idea of explaining later, she conked out again... Oh well. |
