Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Damon Nemo Ark Gender: Male Age: 20 Height: 6'2'' Weight: 180 lbs Description or Image of Character Appearance: ![]() Occupation: Student apparently Grade Level: Graduate Powers/ Abilities: Shadowmancy/Photomancy Damon's shadowmancy has only grown in power due to his return to his humanity, all thanks to the fact that he has harmonized with the darkness. He has become so in tune with it that his body naturally draws in the natural darkness when he fights. This is represented in the form of 'Darkness Points.' When a battle starts, he starts out with a default total of 8 points. Every post, Damon gains two Darkness/Light points, with a maximum of 16 possible. Every time Damon uses his shadowmancy, he drains some of these darkness points. Small items, such as swords, projectiles, and clothing, take away one darkness point from his total. Medium items, such as tables, larger projectiles, and things roughly the size of a door, take 3 darkness points to create. The largest object, the things like DBZ Style Kamehameha sized beams and complex attack weapons like, for an example, a Hwacha, will drain away a grand total of 6 darkness points. Furthermore, the strength of the attacks can override the point cost. For example, an attack may be small, but if it fairly powerful, it will be counted as a medium. This can not be used to lower the cost of an attack however. Just because a large sized attack can not do much damage, does not mean that it will be reduced to a cost of one. It comes down to a 'whichever cost is more' scenario. However, there IS a downside to the shadowmancy upgrade he received. His body can overload on it. Once his total number of Darkness points exceeds 8, he can choose to stop absorbing darkness, stopping his counter from raising any higher. He can choose to forget about this to build up more dark power. However, if he ever hits the maximum of 16, he suffers from a complete overload, and transforms. He becomes the darkness elemental he once was. For the next 4 turns, his body is enhanced in strength and speed, becoming capable of lifting roughly 2 tons and throwing it about, as well as being able to move at roughly 50 MPH on foot. After the 4 turns are up, he reverts back to his human form, but suffers from an elemental breakdown. His dark points only regenerate at 1/2 a point a turn, and his maximum point total is dropped down to 8. Dark Void A new Shadowmancy finishing trick by Damon. Damon completely removes all light from a room, the darkness itself becoming an extension of Damon's will. Dark blasts fire from every direction towards one target within the void, attacking relentlessly. Finishing it off, Damon slices through the darkness with a single piercing slash of light from his hand, causing the darkness around the victim to explode along with whatever damage the slashing attack does. Naturally, such a technique is only one use per topic. But damn if it isn't a good one use. Dark Warp A purely noncombat trick. Damon, as well as anyone nearby him who is WILLING, can teleport to place that Damon has visited, or can see. This can not be done in combat to gain an advantage. At most this can be used to escape a fight. That means no teleport spam to dodge attacks. Kamen Rider Ryuga Rider Specs During a Dopant attack on the city, Damon found himself outclassed and in danger due to the super-strong and dangerous being, and that his powers were completely ineffective. Doing intense research he got the basics down, and using some basic elemancer tech, managed to properly finish a viable Rider System. Currently lacking a name, Damon still uses it when the situation calls for more defense and raw power. The Rider System is balanced between offense and defense, dropping subtle maneuvers for raw effectiveness. It lacks form changes, it lacks athletic dodging, it is designed to leave the wearer as a tank. That being said, aside from punches and kicks, it uses a card system to utilize special weapons for combat, and has the unique gift of being able to travel through reflective surfaces into a 'Mirror World', a world that is more or less identical to Hyakuji...but appears to be...empty... As for how it works, the belt is the key component. By merely holding it out and willing, a belt will form around the holder. All that needs to be done from there is for the user to slide the deck into the belt, and then they are transformed, and gain access to the powers of the suit, and the weapons it can wield... ![]() ![]() ![]() Sword Vent is pretty much what you would expect: A sword is summoned to be used to cut things. Strike Vent summons the Drag Claw gauntlet, to fire out projectiles of darkness. Guard Vent summons two tower shields, which are naturally used for defense. ![]() The Advent Card of Dragblacker summons the dragon displayed on the card: Dragblacker. It is a beast that livest within the mirror world, and can only be summoned normally by using the Advent Card. Doing so summons it instantly, allowing it to help the user fight against enemies. ![]() The Final Vent card is the ultimate power of this rider system. Dragblacker circles around the rider, causing it to levitate with power. Dragblacker then spews out black fire, shooting the rider forward to unleash a Dragon Rider Kick of Darkness. With all of these benefits, there is a cost. Every aspect of the rider system's abilities are powered by Damon's Shadowmancy. When active, Damon's normal shadowmancy powers are completely locked off, as it is all being focused towards the armor. While having a physical card deck keeps him from needing to use up even more shadowmancy to use it, he has yet to find a way to get both his shadowmancy and rider powers to work at the same time. Equipment You Have: Enough books to start a library Enchanted family-detecting watch A small fortune he barely spends, more thanks to the fact that the only 2 survivors of his family died. (He's sad about that, don't bring it up) Residency Request: His own house. What? He can afford it. It isn't fancy but it works Personality Description: Damon's a good person. Partly because he wants to be one, and partly because he wants to show people Elementals whom look like Heartless are not evil shadow monsters bent on destroying the fabric of reality. He's fairly intelligent, but has some problems with sayings that are not literal, due to the fact he's learned several languages and mainly sticks to the literal interpretations of a phrase. This doesn't mean he won't get puns or the like, but god help him if he hears slang. Despite his past, he doesn't think of it as sad, not anymore at least. As he himself says sometimes, "I'll miss my family, I'll always miss it....but I have to move forward." He's also quite apologetic, usually, but finds it hard to give when he is absolutely sure he is right. As such, he's often conflicted over whether being right or letting a friend be right is right. He's also got a small issue dealing with people whom have had a bad past. He constantly wants to try to help them....well, so long as they didn't take out their bad past on people he cares about. After the war on the heartless he has become tired, and a bit more aggressive against threats. Personal History: Damon's back ground is......complicated. He's been working with a mysterious person to try and track down all his family members ever since he lost his family in a fire when he was 6. He soon found that most of his family had died, though, and had to search the world to try and fine someone to live with. However, each time he found someone, they were dead. At first, it started with him finding people dying in things like car accidents and the like, nothing too out of the ordinary. As he began to investigate the more.....powerful, unique family members, he began to notice they died of various ways of odd death. The first such case of this was his uncle twice removed, who was a powerful person, working as a bounty hunter. When Damon arrived, he found that he had been murdered by something not human. This trend began to continue the more he investigated his family. His Aunt, who was known as an above average healer, was found with her legs stabbed through her skull. His half brother was found dead after eating his weight in human intestines. The list went on and on. Now, his only goal is to find a member of his family NOT killed or dead or anything involving being dead, simply to know he's not alone. He's been doing a "home" schooling system, and doing things very well, usually getting Bs in his subjects. During his travels, he went through his fair share of persecution due to his powers. He'd not handled that too well, preferring to avoid human contact. The mysterious person, known only as Mr. Mare, helped Damon through it, however. Together, they searched for roughly ten years, before Mare decided Damon needed to master his powers, in case he WAS the last member alive. He sent Damon to a certain school, knowing that that was where the last name on the list of family members would be. Damon was initially resentful, wanting to keep at his search, but soon realized what Mr. Mare had planned. He reluctantly decided to accept his decision. (Since starting in the school) Damon's arrival wasn't exactly pleasant. He ran into Naka, the person he came to find rather quickly. However, it was in a graveyard, where another student was defacing his Uncle and Aunt's graves. Naka was apparently in some pain, and had been fighting this other student. Damon decided to jump in, and fought against the other student. Naka eventually recovered and joined in, but even combined, their powers were not enough to defeat the other student. They were forced to admit defeat, and the other student left. the two spoke momentarily, as they cleaned up the graves, and agreed to talk more in school. The next day, they both found out they were in the same home room. Naka took this chance to freeze Damon to his chair, annoyed that Damon had signed him up for the pageant. However, the minor dispute stopped when they both noticed their heirlooms, Damon's watch and Naka's ring, reacted to a new student. Damon was shocked. He had somehow apparently missed a family member. He wasn't sure whether to be happy or annoyed his search wasn't as complete as he thought. After speaking with an initially reluctant Coryn, and showing him the various proofs he had, it was indeed confirmed the young necromancer was part of his family. Later that same day, Damon's Pocket watch began shaking and pulling itself-and Damon- to the park. There Damon found yet another family member in Mator, a young Electromancer with no knowledge of his family at all. Damon was surprised, to say the least. He had missed two family members.....He was relieved and worried at the same time. Had he missed anyone else? During his time in town, he met several kind hearted people. They didn't seem to mind Damon's powers. He was relieved to have finally found a place where he could use his powers and do good, as well as slowly gain control over them. However, he son learned something that made him quite sad. Mr. Mare, the man who raised him, protected him, was murdered. Even worse was the fact that the murder not only eradicated his body, but shredded his soul into nothingness. Damon felt very sad over this, but kept it all inside, until he was able to finally get it into his head that Mare wouldn't have wanted him to grieve. As his guardian died, he inherited a considerable amount of money, as well as the life insurance policy from Mare. Coupled with the life insurance from his parents and the inheritance from them, Damon is a reluctant millionaire. He's put almost all of the money away, and has worked out a system with the bank storing the money so that he only gets it in monthly installments, unless an emergency comes up. Needless to say, he has not made this knowledge public. He finds it somewhat embarrassing, and fears people might think he's responsible for their deaths or something. (Season 02) Something happened as time went on, though. He was attacked while training. The Heartless Drawn to his nature as a Shadowmancer, and his strong heart, they attacked him in radical numbers. Even with his partner Shadow Elemental, Kage, he was no match. For every one he dispatched, another two took it's place. Before long, Kage was beaten by the strange dark beings, and Damon was almost killed. The being ended up ripping out his lungs, leaving him dying. Just as they were about to kill him, though, Kage took action. The young Elemental sacrificed itself to save his life...by turning him into one of it's kind. A living being made up of the natural force of shadows and darkness. This was not enough to stop, however, what came next He somehow was transferred out of his reality when this occurred. How, why, and the like, was unknown to him. All he knew was this: He was somewhere that was not home. He looked like some sort of monster. He got himself a makeshift cloak, and now finds himself wandering this world. (Season 03) After a series of epic battles, close calls, and various other unpleasant things, The worlds were restored, and Damon managed to return to humanity in the process. When he did so he found his ties to darkness deeper than before, and with it he was able to restore his fallen partner, Kage. Since the world is back to how it was, the majority of the world unaware of what even happened. He has begun to return to re-settle into life, albeit a bit changed due to the war on the heartless. His girlfriend returned home to Hyakuji, in a teaching position, making their love life difficult due to worries of possible scandals. Then the school was in danger of closing. Then he was recruited as the Elemancy teacher of darkness and light. He helped deal with the debt via fundraising, hung for treasure and the like, before being involved in a climactic robot battle for the sake of the city. After coming out victorious, coming to terms with his relationship with Kaede and moving forward with that...He's now graduated, living in his own home, and taking care of Kage as if she was his daughter.
