Because the animals seemed to essentially be no more above the intelligence of regular animals none of them seemed to bother with approaching or coming after York even despite firing. The fact they seemed entirely honed on melee combat and thus those who approached them meant he was 100% safe so long as he didn't close distance with any of them. Using the ample time this gave from the boy slinging around laser beams with them York removed the clip of rubber bullets and traded it out for one loaded with real bullets. "Zach?" York questioned softly, "It would appear a carnival is passing through Hyakuji and its collection of animals have gone berserk for some reason. Exerting lethal force to dispatch the situation before citizens are harmed by the rampage." Cocking his Glock 22 York took a bead on the head of one of the Gorillas and fired effortlessly. Quickly, York would begin shifting from one target to the next squaring up their head in the center of his sights, careful to be sure none of the humans present were in the way, before pulling the trigger and quickly moving to the next target uncaring to wait and check if he struck because in the end it didn't matter; as long as they were engaged in melee they were fish in a barrel to him. In this manner York expended seven shots from the current clip. |

Walking to the school to pick up some stuff she had led left behind yesterday, the sound of gunshots erupting from somewhere was the first thing that clued her in that something bad was going on, especially with the rarity of guns being fired in a city of with a population consisting mostly of super powered people who thinks of guns being child’s play at times. But to Nanoha, it was something bad either way and she hurried her way to the source of it and began to hear more than just the sound of gunfire. “<Raising Heart, looks like there may be trouble ahead.>” She said to the red jewel which hung around her neck. “<Set Up, no Barrier Jacket.>” [Alright, my Master. Standby ready, Device Mode Set Up.] The Intelligent Device replied in English. The red jewel would then release itself from its lock, and floated away to Nanoha’s side and pieces of the staff would materialize into thin air to form around the Raising Heart while the red jewel itself increases in size to a point. Nanoha grabs hold of the newly transformed Raising Heart just as she turns around the corner to see Planet of the Apes coming to life in Hyakuji, three people already fighting amidst the numerous simians that appeared out of nowhere. “<This is bad.>” Nanoha commented at the situation. “<Raising Heart, prepare Divine Buster, we may need to shoot through all those monkeys.>” [Alright, Divine Buster Standby.] While Raising Heart takes care of that, Nanoha raise and points the staff forward, and four, glowing energy spheres would form around her. “<Divine Shooter, Shoot!>” She commanded, and with that, the four energy spheres would zoom in towards the mass of simians and exploded upon impacting one of them, and likely to take out any nearby as well. [Divine Buster Charge: 1/2] Edited by Xing, Mar 28 2010, 11:01 PM.

'Out of hand' is a term often used to describe situations where you get more than you bargained for; finding out a recipe is more difficult than it looked on TV, going to a rock concert and finding out a terrible band is opening for them. There could not have been a more appropriate phrase to describe the situation as it had suddenly escalated into. Having only arrived at this school a short time ago, she never could have imagined such a sudden turn of events. Her powerhouse of flying kicks knocking a group of the chimps unconscious, she turned her attention to the newly arrived armored gorillas. "Passion Sword!" She cried, once again summoning her dark crystal weapon. Targeting the largest grouping she pulled her sword back behind her, it's glowing fire intensifying as she eyed her marks. "Butterfly tact!" A glowing circle appeared underneath her and her aura became dark. "Purple Forte Wave!!" A wide arc of burning violet flame charged at the simian army, burning a path into the crowd. At least there were others showing up now, was this something that happened often around here? Superfights between martial arts wielding animals, superheros and FBI agents? Setsuna contemplated that for a moment as she fired several more arcs of flame into the innumerable simian army and smiled. She could really get used to this kind of thing. |

Dodging the collective attacks all but 20 of the simians managed to survive what she had unleashed. 50 Gorillas remained. They took out what appeared to be some sort of heavy sword and all swung them releasing black blasts of Ki Energy headed straight for Veritas who had no defensive Ki Powers whatsoever. The Monkeys however were smart enough to know that they would have to go after the other two firing and so they took out daggers and ran forward climbing on the building and silently dropping behind each one. The other primates all fired Ki blasts at everyone nearby. Monkey Fist casually floated off of the top of the building. "Want me to call off my armies? Surrender the Lotus Blade to me now boy!" He said pointing at Veritas as he threw a massive Ki Orb that would likely do a lot of damage if and when it hit those 5 people. Giving control of his body to instinct his hand suddenly went out. A hammer palm formed in it and he jumped up slamming the orb into the lake where it exploded. He had no time for Monkey Fist's antics especially not today. "You want the Lotus Blade Montefist? Call off your army and fight me one on one. No Monkey Ninjas either. " Monkey Fist "I hold you to your word Stoppable. " He snapped his fingers and his forces stopped moving for a moment. "If you lose, they all die. " Veritas sighed and let his Ki Sword form in his hands. He was prepared for Monkey Fist now even though he knew he was likely to lose. "All of you listen to me. Run to safety. " To the one with the passion sword he threw the silk wrapped box. "Take this to Yamanouchi and take it as quickly as humanely possible. " |

He could smell it all the way from this distance. The smell of fur, fleas, and sweat. He could hear it, too. He was out of sight from the fight, but even at this distance he could distinguish his partner's heartbeat from the rest, beating restlessly as he moved about. There was something supernatural going on, and the longer he waited the more unbearable the scent got. He would have to step in some time, wouldn't he? At least if he wanted the smell of hundreds of prime apes to go away. It was sickening, enough so that he had to swallow back down that subway BLT he had just finished off in practically two bites. Anything as nasty as a couple of monkeys had to be dealt with promptly, and it would seem that his partner wasn't doing a sufficient enough job of dealing. He pushed himself away from leaning against a wall and started off at a swift run, the pace growing faster and faster with each moment until he was practically a blur. He only needed a glance to decipher the situation as much as was necessary, and in a flash he was racing past the filthy animals and scooping York up, grabbing him by the collar she tearing him quickly away from the creeping prime apes coming from behind. "Oops," was all he said as he looked at the slightly torn collar. It would seem that his claws had extracted in the slight excitement of the moment, not that he would tell York that right now. Hopefully his mind would be too concentrated on the situation to care about the condition of his clothing. Rude, as he was so affectionately called, turned back to look on the situation and take it in fully. A bunch of monkeys, a kid, a cute girl, a... another person, and then some monkey guy on the roof... And some green lady... "What the Hell's goin' on 'ere? I've heard of monkeyin' around, but this is ridiculous." He grunted, clearly dissatisfied with the situation. "And you ain't made a dent in this army, it looks like. York, what've you been doing?" But it seemed the "forces" had stopped for the time being. Whatever that monkey man wanted, it was from the kid, meaning it had nothing to do with him. "Just leave 'im be. If he wins, whoopee. If he loses, I'm gettin' the Hell outta here. Ain't no way I'm pickin' a fight with these things." |

York gave something of an unenthusiastic smile to his partner as he sat him back down at a safe distance. Laughing a little he held up his Glock 22 and wiggled it a little jokingly. "Apparently," York began, "I'm not doing much at all. I thought I would come have a look around the school and then all this happened." "Zach," York began as he turned away from Rude, "This man is called Rude. I guess you could consider him my partner... well, besides you of course. He seems to be with the Bureau as well and they sent him along to assist us in our cases here. Apparently, he's actually a werewolf. That's right, Zach, just like the case in Columbus, but this time the beast is on our side. In any case, he's a lot more resourceful for direct confrontations than we are on our own and since we know he's not on Wo-Shing's take he should be an important ally." "Thanks though," York spoke in a genuine tone happy his partner had arrived when he did, "Do you really think we should just leave children in such a situation? Isn't it a little dangerous. I suppose I could go for some coffee though..." |

The apes firing back at her didn’t actually caught her by surprise, but she was still on the ground and without her Barrier Jacket on, which equates to defensive deficiency on her part. She would probably been hit had Raising Heart not been programmed to cover that area when she least expects it. [Auto-Guard: Protection.] The Device announced, just as a barrier formed around Nanoha and deflected the Ki blasts from the monkeys and blocking the sad attempt of stealth knifing her from the back. “<Raising Heart, we’re at a disadvantage here.>” Nanoha said worryingly while the Protection barrier held up. “<Barrier Jacket and Flier Fin, now!>” [Alright, Barrier Jacket and Flier Fin.] Raising Heart replied, and Nanoha’s form was immediately engulfed in bright light, blinding anyone starting directly at her where behind the bright light, her clothes de-materialized and placed into a pocket dimension and was duly replaced with a full white dress and a skirt with blue accents, a pair of thick gauntlets and fingerless gloves while her single side ponytail changes into twintails. Once her transformation was complete, the Protection barrier falls, and from the light, Nanoha bursts towards the sky with a pair of blue wings on her shoes providing her flight. In the air, out of reach of the close combat oriented monkeys, she turns to survey the battlefield not far below her, and spotted who she assumes is the leader of the rampaging apes, just because the… ‘man’ himself was sporting monkey like physical attributes. Deciding on him as a target, Nanoha raises Raising Heart up high above her. “<Raising Heart, Cannon Mode.>” [Cannon Mode, Set Up.] With that confirmation, Raising Heart then changes it form, from the utility and mundane looking Sealing Mode, to the more menacing looking spear-like Cannon Mode, complete with a gun grip and trigger. After the transformation was complete, Nanoha brought Raising Heart down, and points it at Monkey Fist. Where she was in the air, it was hard for her catch whatever it is that was being said between them, so she was not inclined to hold off attacking just yet until she was sure the monkey man and his troops would sit down and listen That is of course, until after she shoots first. [Charge Complete] Raising Heart then finally announced, telling Nanoha clearly that she can shoot anytime. “<Divine…!>” She began without haste, uttering the first word in the spell to engage the power transfer into the air as a magic circle appeared beneath her feet and the Raising Heart’s jewel began to glow while several magic rings appeared around the staff and three small energy wings bursts out on either side of the staff. [Divine Buster.] “<…BUSTER!!>” ![]() And with that, Nanoha pulled the trigger, and with slight a recoil, a beam of energy is fired from the magic circle, and shoots straight for Monkey Fist below which would explode upon impact if hit and bringing great pain to the monkey man, which should teach him that bringing and army of apes into Hyakuji to do harm is never a good idea, especially when she’s around. |

"Hey but wait how am I supposed to even find Yamanouchi? And how the heck do I get there, I don't have money for this kinda thing and...does that man have monkey feet?" Her tone had reached beyond the realm of minor irritation and somewhere into the realm of morbid curiosity, finally giving into the situation as it was presented to her. Now it seemed their leader had appeared, a ripe looking old man with some of the hairiest monkey hands and feet she'd ever seen. Not to mention the evil British accent of a cliche James Bond villain. Nevertheless, even if he wanted her to, Setsuna wasn't leaving this battle unfinished, not when this strange animal man was threatening so many people. "I'm not going anyway, Veritas. I don't leave good people behind when villains like this try to use force to get what they want." She handed the package off to York, who really had no place shooting at armored apes to begin with, she highly doubted it was in his job description. "Just make sure this stays away from the battlefield and out of the hands of those animals. Whatever is in it seems pretty important." Steadying her sword, she faced Lord Monty Fiske, standing beside Veritas. "I am the black butterfly that protects broken dreams and I won't back down from you!" Setsuna announced, prepared for whatever attacks might come next. |

Monkey Fist "You fools. I planned to use the Lotus Blade to save the life of my son because of a Ki based ailment he has gained. The Lotus blade is one of the few things that can cure it. " He looked depressed and for some odd reason not capable of recovering on his own. He got hit by the pink orbs and decided that soon he would flee. "Coward. This is a duel between me and Veritas and not between anyone else. The ninjas are to make sure you don't interfere." "And I brought the army since Veritas was unlikely to merely hand over the blade without a fight. If you wish to kill an old man Veritas go ahead." He removed the armored chest plate over his chest. He was waiting for Veritas to strike. Veritas "Not yet. " He threw a map to Yamanouchi to York. "Keep it a secret and tell no one. Deliver the blade there as quickly as possible. " He said to Monkey Fist "There is one other cure Monkey Fist. One that you neglected to learn but that I have the scroll to perform." He offered a scroll to Monkey Fist that had the curing Ki maneuver. Monkey Fist grudgingly snapped his fingers and all his monkeys left the area immediately. "Go back to the Castle and wait for me." Taking the scroll that was offered he read over it for a half moment and scowled. He didn't have any magical abilities. Well curing his son would be impossible now since Ki was only that he had. "Ah man, what a pain..." York signed as Setsuna passed the box off to him and he got some accompanying map to go with it, "Rude, take these back to the Department later and seal them up in our evidence locker. As for this guy..." "Zach, are you there?" York questioned as he raised his hand to his right ear, "Notice this one they call Monkey Fist? Yeah... he seems to have simian characteristics yet also the countenance of a human. I believe this is what we would classify as a Mutant. That reminds me..." York exhaled slowly and then continued, "Do you remember back in college when we watched the 1984 cult classic Toxic Avenger? That movie dealt with mutants as well except they were spawned by toxic waste. 'He was 98lbs. of nerd until he became... The Toxic Avenger?' Wasn't that it, Zack? I believe the low budget studio known as Troma was behind it. They made a lot of good movies for such a cheap budget..." "I guess it takes some suspension of disbelief, but then again we always appreciated a good b-movie, didn't we, Zach?" York continued, "What? The Moneky guy? Yeah, I noticed as well. He seems to lack no tactical nature to combat. There's nothing honorable about removing your armor after you've already tried to kill someone. I agree, Zach. I'll do it. Raising his Glock 22 York took aim suddenly at Monkey Fist squaring up his sights directly on Monkey Fist's now exposed heart. "Hey, Dumbass," York called out as he then pulled the trigger repeatedly emptying the rest of his current clip of all the remaining bullets. It was faulty to disrobe of his armor like that. Maybe there was some fucked up sense of honor between him and the Wo-Shing Suspect/Potential Recruit, but he'd come onto public property owned by the school and attacked not only students of the school but now two officers of the law; York knew his right to enact lethal force to subdue the situation was just. |

"The Hell?" Rude grumbled as the package was once again handed off, this time to him. There was way to much monkey stuff going on to keep track and the smell was dizzying, not that he'd turn tail and run, though. Not now, anyway... Well, maybe. This was just getting on his nerves, but his instincts to run weren't even tickling his senses. In other words, he felt no danger to himself here. Not in the least, other than those Ki blasts which he would simply need to avoid. Other than that, their footwork was only slightly impressive and they were otherwise just a bunch of bite-sized snacks. Eating monkeys was probably like eating carp: hardly filling at all and he'd have to pick the bones out of his teeth later. Nothing but an annoyance. "I'm not some carrier pigeon. I can fetch, but I sure as hell ain't some message bird!" He practically growled as York went off firing at Monkey Fist, or whatever his name was. Quite frankly, he didn't care. The man was an ugly ball of aged fuzz that couldn't even be called an appetizer. Well, more like 'could hardly be called edible.' The mere thought was disturbing. Actually, it also managed turned his stomach a bit. "Fine. Do what you want," he waved a hand in York's direction as he let loose his round. He would stick around, though. He could get away with the package if absolutely needed, but not one of these monkeys and their grabby little hands would get it without being torn in half, and he only needed one hand to do it. Heck, he didn't even need either of his hands. Rude stood stubbornly close by to York, ready to snatch him up again if need be. |

The Divine Buster beam found its mark and the monkey man was engulfed in an explosive blast that would have inflicted great pain on him. When the smoke cleared, Nanoha could see that he was still in one piece but that’s mostly because she was using non-lethal settings: her magic when limited would only hurt really badly when hit. Still from her position, she can barely hear anything or whatever it is that’s going on down there, but she did catch the monkey man calling her coward, to which she ignored and pretty much didn’t care about. He has no right to say that after coming about attacking students of the school she’s from and get away from it cleanly no matter how righteous his aims may be: attacking a student broke whatever credibility he might had before he even showed up. That said, one of the foreigner down there seems to share her idea as he opens fire at the monkey man again which indicates that the fight might not be over just yet. Still, it doesn’t hurt to get close and get a better understanding of what’s going on, so Nanoha turns and flies down to the only girl among the group, who was wielding a sword of some kind. “<Excuse me, but what’s going on now?>” Nanoha asks the white haired girl warily, eyeing the odd scene unfolding before them. |

Shego immediately approached the girl who had flied up and blasted Monkey Fist. "Please listen. That guy is after the Lotus Blade. And unfortunately disaster will occur here if we all attack Monkey Fist because he will just recall the Monkey Ninjas to his aid once again. " Monkey Fist "You know Veritas you will never win!" He dodged the bullets that York was firing at him. Sighing as he did this he took out his katana which had a midnight black blade on it. Shouting Loud enough for everyone to hear "I challenge on this day Veritas Stoppable to combat for the Lotus Blade. Let my challenge stand with all of you as witnesses on this day forward that he has 1 month to prepare himself for the battle that I have challenged him to. " Holding out his hand outward Monkey Fist made a Vortex of Ki appear which released nothing. He merely said "I will retreat for the time being. " Veritas was atop the building. He removed from his belt his grapple hook and fired it at the packaging of the Lotus Blade. It would if all things worked out properly pull it from the hands of Rude and up to where he was. Shego said "If we all work together perhaps we can make Monkey Fist leave us be. Been protecting Veritas for years now to keep him alive. " Anger could be felt coming from Veritas and the anger was very strong. It wouldn't take an Empath to know that he needed to be calmed down. |

Setsuna lowered her blade as the simians backed down, the crystals disappearing back to wherever it was they waited while the British monkey master retreated. It wasn't in her nature to back down against threats like this and she felt uncomfortable simply waiting to be attacked again. However, it seemed the only way to win here was to wait. "I'll be watching, Veritas." She said, returning back to her normal form. Reaching into her pocket, she replaced the green clover necklace around her neck where it always sat. "If he comes back, he won't be getting away again." Things around here were strange, that much was certain. If evil of this kind of thing was going to be commonplace, then Mahou Senshi Kurocho had a lot of cleaning up to do. Setsuna would do whatever it took to prevent another egomaniac with superpowers from ruining her fresh start. |

Too much was going on. Rude had simply gotten to the point that he was no longer paying attention to anything more than the immediate space around him and his partner. Rude just didn't have the attention span to watch such a ridiculous battle. From here on out, his only goals were to make sure the box and his partner got back safely. He could care less about the kid or the monkey man. Perhaps he would be a little worried if the others got injured, but they involved themselves in this fight to begin with. If they couldn't just walk away, then any injury done to them wasn't his problem. You don't jump in a fight with the expectation of coming away clean. Speaking of which, he wondered if the boy understood that any form of quick movement in the middle of battle was likely always going to be taken as a potential threat? Which meant that the grapple hook shot in his direction was going to be considered such. He didn't need to see it to know it was coming, either. He could hear it the moment it left the boy's side. It sounded much different from York's gun, which immediately drew his attention back to the scene. With little effort he grabbed onto the rope just below the hook. It had successfully latched onto the box, but it didn't take much to unhook it and, without a second thought, yank the rope with an incredible force. He didn't bother to look at who it belonged to. The noise had come from that boy's direction. If this kid was going to fire stuff at people who were helping him, Rude wasn't about to thank him no matter the intention. Well, if it didn't yank the kid along with it then the grapple hook would definitely be out of his hands in less than a second. All this kid was at this moment was a nuisance. If the kid was gone, then maybe that monkey man would stay gone, too? And if he had the box, that man wasn't going to get it out of his claws... Therefore, get rid of the boy and he and York could go grab a beer, right? That sounded perfect enough, didn't it? And Rude, being who he was, saw no flaw in this plan. Not the death of a child nor the morally wrong idea of getting rid of him in one way or another. This had been one of the many things that whoever he worked for had been worried about. "C'mere, brat. If you don't get down from there, I'll blow the whole building down." He growled loud enough for him to hear. He didn't mind making a joke about wolves, considering he, himself, was one. |
