Xephiroths
Spoiler: click to toggle

Prior to this fated day.

His existence, his birth was by choice of the original.
OOC: Will edit as time goes on.

It begins...

Already aware of their arrival, the others, they scheme of taking checkpoints throughout the castle to hold them off for enough time, but not because of Xephiroths's treachery. Xemnas had already start on what he plan all along.

Running....

He fluxes through the corridors of the entire castle, making his way towards the tower that holds the view of the heart shaped moon.

Sweating...

Feeling that his time is drawing near he knows that he must stop Xemnas in order to not become whole ever again, getting his heart back is the opposite of his true goal.

Beating...

Xephiroths: "I'm too freaking fat for this bullshit... why didn't they make elevators?!"

Each foot hitting every other couple of steps as he ascended higher through the hallways and foyers.

BAM!!!

He falls forward onto his face and stomach side. Lifting up his head he looked around to make sure no one had seen it happen. Laughing a bit as his face was now strawberry red, he started wiping his cloak off and grinning. Breaking off into a run again, he act like it never happen but was highly..... right no emotions, meaning he didn't care.

Five minutes later...

Xephiroths: "That...*censored*. I shouldn't thought it would had been easy." He commented on that barrier placed around the entrance of the Tower entrance. There was no other way in, but from where he stood he could clearly see the Kingdom Heart beaming out of the sky.

Standing at the edge of Naught's Approach, an exterior opening space of stairways and halls that led from Where Nothing Gathers. There wasn't many walls except for the side of the path where it touches the side of the building all the way to the end. The other side were like any other balcony that you could look over and down at the lower parts of the castle.

Then there was the damn barrier....

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Smacking up against the barriers hidden invisible blades started to strike across the wall to allow himself in.

Xephiroths: "Oh you KNOW this is some bullshit. It's bad enough I made a distraction long enough to kick your ass and take away the Kingdom Hearts.. but now you had to add to the time needed."

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

He wasn't going to make it in time, they finally found their way in. Looks like Oxito wasn't able to hold them off long enough, but it was worth it. Now with the others holding each and everyone of them off through out the castle it would still take them some time to get where he was. He didn't need to worry, but he still had to rush.

No!

They've broken through. Some at least did, but not all.

He turned around knowing there wasn't any other way at the moment, but maybe he could use them to his advantage. His power alone wasn't enough, but maybe.. just maybe they could do it. Then he'll kill them right after. That way they wont prove to be threat once he fights Xemnas on his own. Hoping he doesn't waste to much time and energy guiding them.

Making his way back down through the N's A he found himself at the entrance of his checkpoint. He threw off his cloaked and ready his weapons, they manifested and formed and then spread behind him in a fashion of an armory and then started to circular around him.

Xephiroths: "Let's play..."

Thump. Thump.

Star could feel it beneath her skin as she ran, pulsing, beating. She could feel it fluttering there, just barely out of reach, beating against the barrier inside her. It wanted out. It wanted to consume her, consume everything. She had felt it ever since she crossed the portal. It was there, and it wanted her. And she almost wanted to let it take her.

Thump. Tha-thump.

It was like a second heartbeat, really. A second side to herself. One that she didn't want to acknowledge, but one that she was forced to face ever since Shinya. Ever since that. She took a deep breath, gulping down air and swallowing her fear. What did it matter, as long as she kept running. Running, running.

Not yet... she thought, clenching her fists against it as she forced it back. Not yet.... She couldn't afford to lose it just yet. She had to hold on. Star had done nothing but run since she entered the portal. Ran through the city, ran through the castle. She had run past, everyone, everything, because she knew the tower was this way. She could feel it, just as the light inside her could, driving her, pushing her.

She was a child of light, in the end, and she realized here and now what people had been trying to tell her for the past year. Light was not good. It wasn't evil either. It was just...light. And at this moment, it wanted to destroy. To move. It wanted her, that quarter of her blood that was more than human. But her will was, in the end, very human, and she wouldn't let it take her. She wouldn't be made into a vessel for the light like at Shinya.

At least, not yet...

Star skidded to a stop. She knew Meglumar would stop as well, behind her. She also knew that the only reason she was ahead of him was so that he could see her--he was much more used to running than she was. She probably needed to work out once this was over, but that wasn't the point.

The way was blocked. A Nobody blocked it, and Star knew that this time, she wouldn't simply be able to run past him. She took several deep breaths to catch her breath, panting as she faced him with her keyblades in her hand. Damn... she thought, feeling the light pulsing inside her, in addition to the sunlight she had collected before coming. Not now... she thought.

It's not yet time...

"Jameson told me this.." A voice said behind Star. Hands were tucked deep into his pocket as his cold eyes focused ahead. Deep violet eyes focused ahead towards the chosen target. Zander wasn't going to hesitate this close to the end of everything. He was determined to see his final orders through, even if it took him forever.

"Protect these precious children.." Zander said with his eyes now shut firmly. He raised a finger to the sky. "Erin.. whom has a seed of unbelievable courage in her heart that she can't see.." He shifted his stance a bit summoning a keyblade. "Yumi... Who has the ability to protect everyone with her power.. And yet like me is doomed to destroy herself..." He opened his eyes fixing them on the blond girl. "And Star, whose radiant innocence will be tarnished with an ugly scar due to her overwhelming heritage.."

He eyed her with a frown. "It was Jameson's wish that you remain out of this battlefield because you are unstable.." He turned his head. "I'm not Jameson so I won't pretend to have some authority over you. And if you're willing to endanger everyone with your selfishly running into battle despite the risk then I don't see what's so 'precious' about you at all.." He focused on the foe, narrowing his eyes.

"But I was asked to ensure your safety so that's what I'll do.." He thrust his arm up, a disk popped out of his sleeve. "Dream on.. Dreamer!" He said forcefully. "Jameson, SLOT-IN!" He slid Jameson's disk into the Dreamweaver. "Run program.. J-Dot-Psy-Dot-SWORD!"

RUNNING PROGRAM: J.PSY.SWORD

A psychic blade formed over his free arm. He smirked broadly at his foe. "Come, let's see what you're made of.." He said rooting himself in his position. It was always wiser to evaluate a foe's abilities first. He wasn't the sort of idiot who ran in headfirst and got himself killed.

Meglumar naturally followed along Star. There was something wrong with her. He didn't need to be linked with her to know that much. She was closed off from him, not sharing a single thing, but her attitude, how quickly she was moving, everything at this moment just gave him an aura of unease. There was something wrong with her. Something she didn't want to have happen.

He stopped along with Star as the nobody blocked their path. His arcadian garb was replaced by his heart's armor, both keyblades in hand. Star Seeker in his right hand, Ultima in his left. This looked like it was going to be a time he was going to have to push himself hard. He had a promise to keep. A promise to Star, a promise to protect her from anything. It was a promise he planned to keep, no matter the cost to him.

Another man came by, claiming to know Jameson, and speaking. He'd never met the man and quite frankly didn't care for him talking down to Star like that. Though, that could be because at the moment he would defend Star from nobodies, armies, even meteors from space. But at least he was willing to fight for what Jameson believed in. And he was probably going to be invaluable in this fight against the nobody.

While everyone stormed the World that Never Was as soon as the gate was wished open, Jen instead opted for a more stealthy approach by sneaking her way past the fighting - avoiding the main streets where most of the fighting took place, keeping to the narrow alleyways and rooftops where she went largely unnoticed, using climbing equipment and parkour skills to navigate her way around. Here and there she saw people she'd known and befriended engage battle. But these battles aren't her fight; she held no delusions whatsoever that she'd last long on the front line, however, where a covert operations approach was called for, here was where Jen shone.

Most Heartless and Nobodies bore a humanoid shape, with the most powerful of them all, the Organization XIII members being almost completely human in appearance. This, Jen theorized, would mean they suffered from the same flaw in humans which is the lack of peripheral vision. The human field of vision extends at most 60° in front; the ability to move the eyes about extends said field of vision to no more than 100°. However, when focused on a specific object or detail, the human field of vision narrows itself down to as small as 6°. Taking advantage of this knowledge, Jen kept herself within the blind spots of the enemies' vision, staying just outside the corner of their eyes. In ancient times, the ninjas are well aware of this, and this method of movement was what largely contributed to their legendary reputation as 'invisible death', said technique would continue to see use in modern times by military special forces.

Jen grunted as she pulled herself up onto a ledge before climbing in through a window. Footsteps and voices approaching. Jen quickly darted behind a nearby pillar, keeping herself in shadow; as three passed her position Jen immediately recognized Star among them, along with two other boys she didn't know. The purple-haired girl continued to shadow them until they stopped, and Jen saw why.

Blocking the path ahead was a member of Organization XIII, instantly recognizable by the signature black coats they seemed to wear almost all the time. Jen watched as Zander formed a glowing blade of psychic energy in his hand. The purple-haired girl continued to keep within the shadows, observing and studying. She would wait for the enemy to make his move before she could assess his strengths and weaknesses. Should she manifest her Keyblade? Jen decided against that; worried that it may give her position away, for now she did nothing except to bide her time, waiting for a more opportune moment to strike. But one thing is for certain - like Meglumar she would waste no time coming to Star's aid should the photomancer be in any trouble.

Xephiroths: "Are you all going to stand around and wait for me to attack first? Really?!"

He knew what they were all doing, they were waiting for him to make the first move so they know exactly what he was doing. But today, that wasn't going to happen no rather then fighting them himself, he instead had a better plan.

Xephiroths: "Oh gawd, you guys are boring me. Ok, ok, I'll start up first then."

Getting into a fighting stance, he grabbed one of his telekinetic swords by his hand and pointed to the group while standing stagnant and a grin on his face. Then he kneel down as if he was ready to openly attack from the front, his smile got wider. Just as he kicked off forward, four Ninja Nobodies came attacking each one of them from behind. Xephiroths himself stopped and then pulled up his sword to look at his reflection in it as if he was hesitating to continue attack and to confuse them of his change of mind. This would hopefully get them to feel disoriented after thinking their opponent was ready, while they unknowingly be assault from behind.

Star's eyes widened at Zander's words. "Jameson said..." she began, trailing off uncertainly. Jameson said that sort of thing about her? She didn't even know him all that well, barely interacted with him as it was. But...he had been there in Shinya...He had seen...

...What was she doing here now? Why didn't she just stay home? Why did she put everyone at risk by going out here when she knew exactly what she could do? What was her plan in the first place anyway? Just go up to Xemnas and let loose and hope that she did something good out of the collateral damage? Star swallowed hard, somehow unable to find something to say to Zander in reply.

Selfless. She wanted to believe that she was selfless. But in the end...she might be the most selfish person here. Because she didn't want to be the one that looked like the coward. Maybe that was it...For once in her life, Star didn't have anything to say. The power continued to pulse. Background noise. Very threatening background noise, but still that was all it was. Because this wasn't Xemnas yet. Star couldn't...she couldn't afford to lose it here.

The Nobody they were supposed to fight didn't really seem that interested in fighting them. He seemed bored, even, like this was all a game. He seemed...

Star's eyes widened and she turned around, letting out a shriek as the Ninja Nobody slashed at her. She stepped back, its blade cutting a wide tear through her cloak. She quickly flared light, and it flared up outwards of her, heading towards the Ninja. The power pulsed hard enough to feel like a stab, and Star quickly suppressed it, gathering her senses long enough to form two orbs of light and send them at the ninja. The light around her didn't die down, surrounding her from all sides.

To a Shadow, it would be deadly. To a high level Heartless, it would be annoying. To Xephiroth's Ninjas? Well, time would tell. But the purpose of the light wasn't to attack. It was a defensive maneuver. Star would be able to sense the minute someone entered the field, the moment someone blocked her light and cast a shadow. Her heart beat slowed down a little from its earlier race as Star forced herself to stay calm. Her breathing still came in short pants though as she stood there.

What's wrong with me? I should have seen that coming a mile away...Looking bored and disinterested! Hmph, that's my trick!

Keep it together, Star...Keep it together...this isn't the time to be stupid...

"Are you all going to stand around and wait for me to attack first? Really?!" So it seemed that the enemy was pretty genre savvy. However, he only seemed to be acknowledging Star, Zander and Meglumar. As far as Jen was concerned, she appeared to have been unnoticed thus far. "Oh gawd, you guys are boring me. Ok, ok, I'll start up first then." For an Organization Nobody, this one was quite the large ham. Jen watched him from her position of cover - should she make her move then? Perhaps a projectile weapon from afar? Or maybe she could attempt to sneak up close to him to stab him in the back or deliver a choke from behind?

It almost went unnoticed by Jen; they certainly don't call those generic Nobodies 'ninjas' for nothing. But at the last second the purple-haired girl spun around before the ninja was upon her, manifesting her Keyblade, Pathfinder to parry the slash from the Nobody mook. Jen swiftly followed by the block by suddenly shoving upwards with her Keyblade, looking to force the Nobody backwards and unbalance him. "Close! But no banana!" Jen mocked.

And to round out her defense/counterattack maneuver the purple-haired girl brought her right foot up, bent at the knee, before suddenly delivering a frontal thrust kick aimed at the ninja's kneecap, in a blow that was intended to bring her opponent to his knees and hopefully immobilize him.

So much for a stealthy approach. Jen was vaguely aware of the fight going on around herself; a shriek from Star warned the purple-haired girl that the photomancer could be in trouble. She was going to have to finish this fight quickly. "來呀! 誰怕誰?" (Come on! Who's scared of whom?) Jen declared in Mandarin as she held her Keyblade in her right hand, raised near her chest while stretching her left hand forward in a Chinese swordplay stance, her feet positioned in a horse-legged stance as she prompted her adversary to give it his best shot.

The ninja's attack slashed across his back. Zander growled in pain before spinning around with his sword and keyblade, slamming into the enemy with both weapons simultaneously. His resolve was strong, even if he'd taken the blow. Unlike others he didn't have some sort of god-like knowledge of things going on behind him. He was properly distracted... Well, it wasn't like head to head fighting was his turf anyways. Stupid nobodies and their lack of tactical surroundings.

If he had a block of C4 and thirty minutes this shit would already be over.

He lashed out with his weapons, hoping to cut down this little asshole in one hit. He wasn't in the mood to play around with minions when the main event was already so much of a challenge.

Meglumar eyed the nobody, waiting for any movement. Star's shriek, though, knocked him out of any battle ideas he had. He quickly felt a blow from behind, that cut into his Heart's armor. He fell forward slightly but quickly turned around. Were these...heartless? Meglumar brought up both keyblades, and ran past the one that attacked him, and ran instead towards the one who attacked Star.

Stupid creatures! He cursed inside his head, as he made an X-shaped slash at this Ninja Nobody. Once these things were taken out, then he could focus on fighting the nobody. He didn't want to be attacked from behind again, he had no idea how well his armor could defend against attacks like these, and how long it would last.

I got a PHD in KICKING YOUR ASS!
Unnoticed at first due to the commotion of the fight, Eiji's steps were finally audible to those fighting the furthest from the nobody, and only because he wanted to make himself noticed.

The man was a mess, walking slowly, really slowly, his Chinese garments were torn on several spots and quite dusty. The blood had already dried on his face, making him look like a dirty bum who'd just gotten drunk and got his ass kicked at some bar. In truth it had been so much worse than that, but Eiji had never been one to complain. He was tired and sick of these dark creatures. He'd had enough and despite him being the opposite of sentimental, he wanted Hyakuji back and it seemed the only way to have it was to destroy this xem-whatever guy. Just another boastful, full-of-himself jerk who should know better.

"Eh... hey you."

Eiji called at the nobody from the other end of the battle field as he walked slowly, really slowly. He was holding something in his hand, something dark which he dragged across the floor. It wasn't apparent at first, but it was a heartless... which kind wasn't clear, and the last person who know about those things were Eiji, to him they were all just annoying little things. Like a mosquito flying in the dark, trying to bite you all night as you try to sleep. The thing twitched now and again, trying to claw its way out of his grip and every time it did Eiji squeezed his hand tighter, crushing its neck until it became still again.

"You with the sword. Are you this xemnas guy? If not so, please step aside, I don't have the time, nor am I in the mood to deal with underlings."

He looked at the others who were engaged in the fight with these warrior-type shadows.

"Be nice and I won't interfere with your fight, you can kill them all for all I care."

He finally squeezed hard, and the thing dark body he was dragging twitched and exploded into a poof of black smoke.

"Then again, if you are him you won't have time for them, you'll be busy enough dying."

~He was caught, even though he was fast, light was much faster. The Ninja NB couldn't dodge in enough time, and thus not only stuns by the light given off that struck him like the sun, but the two orbs blasted him back off of his victim. Landing not to far off, the Ninja Nobody got off the ground so quick it was as if he instant teleported onto its feet and started to run around the group making itself completely hard to see as it blur in and out when it stopped and continued moving.~

Quote:

~Two hit combo? Just like the last, this one couldn't move out the way fast enough either, he was just in the mist of attacking. One hit knocked him back, and the knee kick did indeed put in a dent, but considering it was a nobody...he had no bones. Thurst that kick went unnoticed when the Ninja NB leg returned to normal. And just like the last, he ran off to avoid being seen.~

Quote:

~Yea, that didn't really work out quite well. The weapons that Xander held did indeed damage the NB and of course like the rest knock it off it's block. This time however, the damage dealt wasn't anything severe and the NB only quickly move to the side to jumped out of Cander eye sight by bluring with speed and counter with a side attack with it's triple claw smashed. This time not aiming to hit with the blade side, but thee opposite which was more blunt and much more power behind it.~

@Star's NB
Quote:

He cursed inside his head, as he made an X-shaped slash at this Ninja Nobody.

~Looks like one of them rather then attacking his own Ninja NB was trying to protect someone else instead. Though it was a courageous thing to do, he had a better chance of hitting his own. Now just as he was aiming to X slash the same nobody that had attacked Star he was already to late, he needed to be much faster then that, and his attack missed on the account of the Ninja Nobody take no hesitation after being hit to move on and out of sight.~

Two of nobodies moved on out of sight stopping time after time to get their bearings and then quickly moved onto the next spot. As you can see their bluring they never move in front of anyone, only moving either at the sides or behind to stay out of line of sight. They didn't attack this time, Xephiroths was forbidden them two to continue at the moment.

Xephiroths: "Boring, you guys are to quiet. No conversation at all."

He vanished in an instant, weather anyone was looking his way or not. Instead he appeared on the edge of the ledge that of course led down the side of the castle where you would be able to see most NB fight that were outside and in range of vision. Just everyone understood correctly, the cooridor that they were in, the Naught's Approach wasn't entirely interior, but an outside route that swung around the building. A video for reference: Starts at 7:25 Also can be seen in 132.

Xephiroths: "So anyone... someone, tell me something."

He then turned to Jen who was in her fighting stance, that declared that she was either eager to fight to him, or defending til she got ready to strike the Ninja NB that was assigned to her.

Xephiroths: "What is your purpose? If you're not going to try at this, what do you hope to make it pass me?"

Looks like another contender had found its way through.

Xephiroths: "He'll be here any minute."

He lied as there was a bit of seriousness in his facial expression.

Xephiroths: "Give him some time, while he has things to do. You have something else to worry about."

He made no gestured to warn him of what was happening next. He turned back to the other four instead waiting for his answer.

Somehow unnoticed, the Ninja NB that was once attacking Meglumar was behind Eiji. Openly attack with no remorse for the heartless that he carried in his hand, he slash across with it's triple hand blade to Eiji's back to catch him off guard. Detection of the NB darkness wouldn't be easy as they held no energy that could easily be as track as Chi, Ki, Charka. Unless Eiji has the awareness of Darkness, he'll fall victim like the rest. Then he also had to match blurring speed. Lets see what he had.

"DON'T TIHNK MY TRAINING WAS SO WEAK AS TO FALL FOR THE SAME THING TWICE!" Zander said meeting the claws with his two blades. His eyes narrowed as he focused on his foe. Slowly he lowered his vision so that his hair covered his eyes in darkness. "Don't underestimate the training Cypriss gave me... And don't underestimate the motivations that Jameson taught me. That stupidly optimistic guy.. died smiling.. Because he believed in the future we held in our hands!"

"Awaken the Dreamer!" Zander leaped back, the disk ejected from his pouch. He grabbed it from the air and slid it into it's pouch before taking out a new disk. "Dream on.. Dreamer! RUN PROGRAM! C.EM.BEAM!" He loaded up a new disk and pointed it at the foe rapidly, The light in the area, minimal as it was, distorted and formed around his fingers exploding into a high-speed thin piercing laser beam headed directly for his target. "DIE!" He roared out violently.

"Die and.. realize the folly in underestimating their 'dreams'.."

Jen smirked as her adversary appeared to be caught off-guard by her counter, leaving him wide open for a follow-up as the purple-haired girl performed a frontal thrust kick, sending her heel into his knee in a potentially crippling move. Jen's smirk faded when she noticed how quickly the Ninja recovered from the kick - apparently the physiology of a Nobody was quite different from that of a human, and it would appear that he had no bones to break or ligaments to tear. Her kick did little more than stagger the Ninja momentarily, but in a couple of seconds he was back up and kicking.

"Just like a ninja, I see..." Jen muttered under her breath as her opponent darted to the corner of her vision, using very much the same trick she'd employed earlier to move about unseen up to this point. Well, it takes two to play a game of hide-and-seek! Jen thought as she darted to the side, in the opposite direction of the Ninja, so that she would end up vanishing out of the corner of his field of vision. As Jen ran, the purple-haired girl removed a small packet from the pockets of her jeans, spilling its contents on the floor.

If anyone actually paid attention to what the girl was scattering on the floor, they would notice the floor was now littered with peanuts, fresh out of the packet and still crunchy. If anyone stepped on them, they would no doubt make an audible "crack", thereby giving away the position of whoever stepped on them. All right, come get some! Jen thought as she dived behind a pillar, listening carefully for her adversary.

And so, it seemed this guy was underestimating Eiji right from the start. He supposed it was a good enough tactic for a coward like him, using his minions instead of fighting his opponents himself... but Eiji had come when the ninja nobodies were in plain view, attacking the others. As such he had registered every one of them and was fully aware of their presence. Not to mention he was still behind all of them and so they were all in plain view.

As Xephiroths began talking Eiji acted as if he was paying full attention, maybe even believe what he was saying as he continued walking forward. That's when he noticed the blur of the nobodie's quick disappearing after meglumar ran past him.

Xephiroths: "Give him some time, while he has things to do. You have something else to worry about."

He really must think I'm stupid...

As if the sudden disappearance of the ninja wasn't enough to alert him, Xephiroths was even warning him! Had he failed to realize he was about to be attacked it would have made him feel truly stupid. The moment the nobody appeared behind him, Eiji was ready and waiting.

>insert dramatic close-up of Eiji's eyes narrowing as the ninja appears behind his shoulder<

He might not be able to detect a nobody as clearly as a normal, human being... but he'd still trained all his life on one thing and one thing only: the art of fighting. Once Eiji was fighting he was extremely aware of his surroundings and hardly anything escaped him. Maybe if he hadn't been expecting to be attacked, maybe if he didn't know the ninja were there already attacking someone else, then maybe he would have fallen prey to its attack.

Xephiroths would have to do better than that.

Having witnessed the ninja's speed Eiji knew there was no time for hesitation. In one swift move Eiji suddenly stepped back and to the side to stand right next to the ninja as the thing slashed forward at the spot he was on a mere fraction of a second ago, it was a dangerous move as the slightest delay would surely have him lose a limb, but his timing was perfect. The blades brushed by almost touching him as he brought his hand forward to release his own attack: a burst of ki capable of blasting through a wall.
