Chizu sat at a table by the cafe window, sipping the hot chocolate that she had been served earlier. It was still a little chilly in AcaBel, although the worst of the winter had passed. Most of the chill came from the wind, though, and Chizu could easily deal with that. She glanced out the window. It was a bright sunny day, something that she hadn't had in a while. Then again, considering most of her time had been spent in Traverse Town, that wasn't exactly too surprising.

She sighed and set the cup down, looking out across the cafe. There weren't any heartless attacks today and she wasn't needed in the Arcadia office--one of the perks of being in the Fire Division. It was also a day off from Abenobashi, which meant one less day spent putting up with that blasted uniform. All in all, a good deal...

So what was she doing spending it here? She liked AcaBel, true, it was the first world that she had arrived in after Hyakuji, but this wasn't how she usually spent her days off. This was almost quiet, almost...normal. All she needed was a book and she would be set. Of course, if she had one, she probably wouldn't read it and if she did, Damon might just have a heart attack.

It was peaceful and quiet, and that was not how Chizu spent her free days at all. But she was starting to find that she enjoyed the peace and quiet here. It was a nice change from the constant fighting. She shook her head as she stared down at her cup. What's happening to me?

....W...here.. is this?

The little girl opened her eyes and looked upon her surrounding. She can still see the sky. The same sky. However, something seem different. The scenery... it's no longer the scenery that she has been seeing, or have been expecting to see. It is foreign. How foreign, she couldn't tell, but it is definitely not something that she would see in Niwa.

The last thing she was doing in the other world was turning a corner when reading her diary, and she stepped forward without looking. For some reason, her foot got stuck in the floor, and before long, she was swallowed by the floor, and somehow ended up in this foreign place. Before, she was walking. Now, she's lying on a couch of some sort, something soft.

The girl tries to sit up, only to notice that her hands are empty.

Wait, DIARY! Where's the diary!? She can't live without that!

"Diary... diary... diary.... WHERE'S IT !?!"

"M-Miss, calm down! You just woke up, and it'd bother the customers..." The middle aged man tries to quiet the girl down, only to be rejected by a hysteric panic attack from the girl.

"I-If I don't have that... I-I-I!" The girl looks around, as if the diary is the last straw to cling onto for her to survive, all while trying to get up and find her feet too weak and scared to stand.

Of course, the poor girl would not be able to notice the diary sitting on the counter. Not just quite yet.

Chizu looked up from her cup at some sort of disturbance happening towards the front of the cafe. For a moment, her muscles tensed, the wind around her suddenly pulling closer to her as she prepared for a fight. It wasn't a Heartless, though. It didn't even look like trouble. Chizu relaxed and exhaled, letting the wind around her go back to how it was. She looked outside. Sunlight filtered in through the glass, striking the tables and creating patterns on the walls.

I've become too paranoid... she thought to herself. Then again, she supposed it was for the best. Heartless generally didn't come out during the day, but she knew that they could, when they had a specific purpose or when they were just out to wreak random mayhem. In this case, though, it was just a girl looking for a diary. Diary....Chizu's eyes fell on a book on the counter.

She stood up, picking the book up off the counter and walking over to the girl. "Hey," she said, handing it to her. "This it?" she asked. She wondered if the girl was a student here. If she wasn't, why get so freaked out over a diary? It wasn't as if anyone really knew who she was or would want to read it. It was probably the principle of the thing, Chizu guessed.

Although she didn't get the point of a diary. Why write something down if you didn't want anyone to read it?

The girl looks up for a second from her frantic moment, and looks at the voice that called out for her.

Pretty... Her silver hair flows down besides her ear, and her eyes was ruby. Those eyes were sharp, cool, determined, with a slight hint of... borderline loneliness and emptiness. For some reason, she seems to be extremely mature, and at the same time almost too matured. Those eyes were extremely deep, almost too deep that she couldn't withdraw herself out from.

Do people always have such beautiful eyes? Or do people who only have experienced a lot in their life have such a thing?

"T-Thank you..." A little startled by her calm and yet commanding voice, the girl responded. She reached her hand out, and received the book from the silver haired girl.

Her wrist immediately caught her temple as soon as she picked up the book. The headache. It came out of nowhere, as soon as she took the book from the girl. It hurts.

A suffering expression showed up on the young girl's face, then softens to an mirroring expression as the silver haired girl in front of her. She picked up the book and leveled its weight, her expression just slightly confused.

"Why... a diary...?" She mutters, as she investigated the book from all four sides of its corner, but not quite yet to open it.

Chizu blinked at the girl's question, suddenly confused. Wasn't it her own diary in the first place? Or was it someone else's diary that she had been trying to get at for some reason. She wasn't sure. AcaBel was not exactly a normal high school, but neither was Hyakuji and Chizu would be lying if she said that it didn't have its fair share of normal high school drama.

"What do you mean, why?" asked Chizu. "It's yours, isn't it?"

She looked down at the girl, thinking back to her earlier reaction. After she thanked her, the girl immediately seemed to go into some sort of pain, and when she came out of it her expression seemed changed. A really bad migraine could do that to a person, but for some reason, Chizu got the feeling that that wasn't it. A split personality? Had Chizu awakened some other side to the girl?

Powers always made everything more complicated. Maybe the girl was just insane.

"You alright?" she asked after a while. "Head hurts?"

The girl look at the silver haired girl blankly, then look at her diary? This is hers? Isn't it the belonging of this silver haired girls? There must be some mistakes here. Is it because of her power? Is it because of split personality? After all, power is not an uncommon thing, and she seemed to have suffered from a headache right after the diary is being handed over.

"No... I don't own a diary. There's no point of writing something down when you don't want them to be read." The girl muttered, her voice distant and almost copy-catting the silver haired girl's tone.

"That's the question that I should ask you. Your head doesn't hurt anymore, does it?"

The same serious stare and questioning look that Chizu is giving out.

It's rather obvious that something is wrong, and, maybe, an experienced person such as Chizu would figure out already what is happening. Or, she might get even more lost because of the confusion that the girl is creating.

Chizu raised an eyebrow at the girl's words. Just what was going on here? "My head wasn't hurting," she said slowly, in that same slow, clear voice that Chizu used when she was actually trying to think something through. "Yours was. And if this isn't your diary, then why did you want to get it back so badly?" she asked.

There was something else the girl said, something about how there was no point to writing something down if no one was going to read it, that struck a strange chord inside Chizu. Wasn't that...what she had been thinking a while ago? She was sure she had never said that to the girl though...There was something else. Something about the girl's tone...the way her expression suddenly changed, that seemed familiar to Chizu...something...something...

It's you, Chizu, said Aether. She looks the way you do, to other people.

Me?

Chizu blinked down at the girl. Serious stare...questioning look...she had never really thought about how she looked like from the outside. It was just one of those things...But Aether knew her better than anyone, if this girl looked like her to him...

"Are you reading my mind?" she asked the girl after a while.

The girl tilts her head.

"What might you be talking about?" She asks, her expression softens to a quizzical look, confused by what the elder girl just said to her. She is oblivious.

Mind reading?

Ah, something like telepathy? Indeed, such thing was common in supernatural shows. And, if her diary was correct, people have abnormal power in Hyakuji. And, maybe, Niwa as well. She is not entirely sure about this world, however, since this is a place where she has never been before.

At least, she thinks she's in a new world, a world that is not Niwa. Some sort of space-time distortion must have taken place, because the last time she remembered herself doing something, it was definitely not in a fancy cafe such as this one.

"I mean, it is my diary, and I am grateful that you have returned it." The girl says, as she open the diary and read through the last entry. No, she probably hasn't seen this person before. Not in the last few entries.

"First time we met... correct?" She looks up from her entry, with a questioning, cautious look. She looks at the elder girl with such caution, that one can argue that she's about to either attack or flee in case the elder girl indicates any sort of danger to her.

This girl in front of her is commanding. It looks as if she's either a very strong person, or she's a leader that's one of a kind. In either case, she might be something that the young girl would rather not approach. Usually this kind of people means nothing but trouble. Yes, in a normal world, it's a good thing. No, in the world filled with supernatural phenomenon, these people are the people who encounter the most events, and are likely the first people who jump into unwanted events even if those did not concern them to begin with.

As she is a person with no power whatsoever, and has no ability to recall and retain new information, it is much better if she stay away from supernatural events.

It is better to keep a distance from the elderly girl, then.

Chizu stared at the girl for a moment. Suddenly, it was like she was a different person again. Was there something wrong with this girl? She found it hard to believe that the girl was just toying with her. Chizu had very little patience for people that tried to manipulate her, but she had a feeling that more than that was going on here. She frowned, and as if making a decision, sat across from the girl at the table. She raised her hand and motioned for a waitress to approach.

"Can you bring that cup over here, please?" she asked the waitress, pointing at her half-finished cup of hot chocolate. The waitress nodded and got it, and Chizu spent that time studying the other girl. "...Yeah, it's the first time. I'm Chizu," said Chizu. She would probably have remembered someone this...interesting. She was good with names when she actually cared about the person behind them.

The waitress set her cup down and Chizu took a sip. "Don't you remember?" she asked. "Your head seemed to hurt and for a little while, you were acting different. Does this happen a lot with you?"

The girl's brows tightens into a frown, as she hears the silver haired girl's comment. Indeed, she remembered having a headache, but no, nothing afterwards were remembered. At least not extremely clearly.

"...No, unfortunately." She looks at Chizu, her eyes almost judging the silver haired girl to try and determine Chizu's objective, if any. "I mean, I do remember having a headache, but no."

She then paused, and pondered a little. Did she have headache often? At least not for today. It was the first time she had any sort of physical discomfort during the day.

What about before this?

The girl opened her diary, and started to scan pages after pages in the diary. Headache. Headache. Slight pain. Headache.

It almost happened every other day for the recent month, but it was much worse before.

"... now that you mention it, I do have headache often..." The girl's confused gaze wanders on the page, as she tries to figure out what does such thing imply.
