“Come right here kiddies, you want me, come and get me then.” After the initial pre-emptive strike at the gathering in the First District, Oxkito made a quick dash to the Third District where thousands of Heartless of all shapes and sizes were waiting. He made his way through them without being touched or attacked at all as if he wasn’t there, or as if the Heartless no longer sees him as a threat. Of course, once the mob comes, they would find they wouldn't get such treatment, Light or Dark. Eventually, he stopped in front of a massive nondescript gate that originally leads to nowhere, as it always been since Traverse Town was formed. Here he stood, facing the incoming crowd of probably very, very angry people with his arms crossed in front of his chest. His hood was still up over his head as usual, but maybe some of them wouldn’t have the trouble of recognizing him by the two tuning fork swords that were stabbed into the ground in front of him… |

Do the right thing...

The fact that this assailant (if one could appropriately call them that) was headed towards Third District set off a firestorm inside JP's mind. He remembered the last time he came here. What did it all mean? I knew it! I knew something was here! There was no way in hell this district would have so many Heartless by sheer coincidence. But was this planned all along? Since when, if so? Maybe it started last time that engagement took place. Or, what if it was before then? JP had an easy time trying to keep up with the assailant, owing to his ability to "maneuver" so quickly (though he couldn't move past the 50-meter zone). Upon returning to the normal plane, he saw a gate up ahead, along with the person for whom he gave chase. He slowed to a walk about 20 or so meters in front of the man (he assumed, based on what he could make out about the form of them). The Heartless were all around him, but for some reason, they seemed to be resolved to watch him carefully, instead of attack (at least for the moment). Damnit. They know. They know I've allied with the Darkness. But, why aren't the Soldiers, Large Armors, and Wyverns attacking? Surely they don't fear me. Has something changed? Have I become more...no...it can't be. He's standing there now, with his arms folded, as if daring for someone to step up. This is good. Maybe he doesn't want to fight. But what about those two prongs in the ground. Is it a trap? JP was scanning everything he could with his Planar Combat Visor, but other than the normal increase in mirror-world signatures, he could see nothing else out of the ordinary. He contemplated asking the man some questions, but was unsure of how he'd react; or, more importantly, how these Heartless would react. They might have halted an attack on him due to his allegiance, but he had a feeling they were still under command of this guy. One word might be all it took. But, then again, with his ability, he knew no fear. He could always escape. Was that why he was so daring? "Can I ask you something?" JP called out to the man (Xing) as loudly as he could, over the rumble of Heartless that were moving about. He had walked up closer, but slowly, and not by much. JP's eyes would occasionally flicker to the gate behind the man as he spoke. "About...the Heartless?" That wasn't what JP originally wanted to ask him, but somewhere deep inside him, a force was prompting him to ask only that. |

Ryo looked at the Nobody. A Shadow heartless tried to jump at Ryo but he caught its face and fried it, causing it to spray shadow gunk everywhere. "Well, well, well. You finally decide to show up? And with a pathetic attempt like that? Come on. Show some class as an organization,"Ryo said. "I really don't think it is wise to challenge a foe you haven't fought before like that..."Django said as he arrived. "Now how do you summon that weapon......."Django muttered as he tried concentrating sunlight into his hand. With a flash, a keyblade formed. ![]() In his other hand he held his SolarBlade with its Powers of sunlight enhanced by the light of his own heart. "By the light of the sun, I swear you'll pay for your evil!"he said. |

The Black Reaper

Duo stopped as he came across the huge force of Heartless in front of him, standing between their cloaked assailant and the everyone who had arrived their already. While there were some stronger than average Heartless there, but hardly anything worth getting excited about. He was more focused on the cloaked man standing behind the horde in front of them. He knew that he was most likely controlling the Heartless somehow, and any good strategist knew that taking out the enemy general was one of the best ways to shorten a battle. He figured he out to give his strategy a try. A set of panels slid open from his shoulders, revealing the vulcan cannons mounted there. He let loose a hail of magically enhanced bullets, the machine guns in his helmets opening fire as well as Duo flew through the air towards the Organization member, ready to cut down anything that got in his way. "Hey there, its time for you to die!" |

Attacking a fellow man of leadership position, a man who was simply speaking the truth and they would have him killed?! The responsibility lead also comes with the burden of facing death in the eyes, at going against the big and powerful. But if all the leaders unite, the burden of each of them may be lifted by a bit for all of them. But something made him wonder why the Organization member would not get the kill because he could've gotten it if he wanted right? Or maybe why he was still here instead of running off into the Corridors of Darkness... The Lord Protector would call upon his Knights and Squires, these were no longer limited to Northern or Southern Skies but all the Skies or Commands within the Order had come through to do battle for the Citizens of Traverse Town, the worlds they came from and Traverse itself, their makeshift home, some for few years and some for only a few months or days. It mattered not, this was their act of chivalry for Lord Terra and Traverse Town. The Heart's Armored men began to go into action, slashing and taking down Large Bodies, Defenders, Shadows and whatever else was kept Hyakujians and Arcadians from reaching the Organization member. "Attacking the Organization member is reckless! Either this is an ambush or he has something else in store for us! Do not take the Organization lightly, they are the strongest or why else would the Heartless be so quick to side with them and attack in First District where they are sparingly seen!" Terra cried thinking as a strategist, throwing his Omega Keyblade towards Duo in a Boomerang fashion that would push him away without hurting him, casualties for those reckless was not something he would allow. ******************* Crossfused with Harpuia, they would begin an assault on the Heartless, the Twin Valkryie Keyblades would slash through all of the easy few with easy, replacing his regular blades. They were Keyblade-Chucks which were highly capable of showing his combat abilities which he had learned from the years of fighting Heartless and Virus busting. Well adept, he had some chips slotted in, ready for an attack on more shadows but flying towards Oxkito gradually, to keep with the action. ******************* Ada's Forward unto Dusk had worked very well here, as she would let out burst shots of Qi into her foes then take a few slashes at her Heartless foes. Her cunning mind wondered why the Organization member hadn't finished off Hiro or at least attempted to and why he would stay in the Third District instead of summoning a Corridor and running off. This meant there was more to the plan, this could be an Organization ambush of sorts. She had to stay on guard that was the chief thing, making her way towards the Heartless nearby Oxkito, seeing how Terra would get the foolish man that was reckless, to stop his attack. This was someone who had noticed the same as she did. |

Above the sounds of the intial cies of battle, a voice rang out, "Well said Terra!" and was shortly followed 10 large lightning bolts raining down from the sky and piercing the Heartless masses. Within moments, if one looked up, they would see Nickle, his wings spread and keyblades at the ready, but still missing his Heart's Armour. However, in that instant, his wings vanished and he began to plummet, feet first towards the ground. As he did so, lightning and light engulfed him and moments before his impact, he could be seen falling in his Lord Commander armour. Raising both his keyblades up, he landed on the ground, cracking the cobblestone paving as he did so. In that same landing motion, he slammed the Road to Dawn and Earthshaker down onto the ground, letting loose a tremendous blue and white shockwave of lightning in all directions. He had aimed it so that it would only destroy the heartless around him, as he did not want any other keybladers to get caught in the crossfire. Running forward to stand nearby Terra, Nickle held the Road to Dawn forward like a rapier, while holding the Earthskaker just behind his head, readying to slam down on the next unsuspecting Heartless that drew close. "Hesitation in this battle isn't exactly going to make this bugger go away," he said reffering to Oxkito. "I've learned that with Organisation members, the direct approach is best!" Nickle then swung the Earthshaker down, an as it hit the ground, a large arc of lightning was sent rushing towards Oxkito. He then shouted out, "These lot are nothing but arrogant due to their own power! Strike them down!" Nickle knew it was a brash thing to do, but if they were given even an inch of preparation, then they would turn the tables of a battle. |

Chizu jumped into the air the moment she arrived in Third District, the wind going in front of her and spiraling ahead as she raised her arms up to chest level. The keyblades crossed for a moment as she flew through the air, the wind in front of her making her rather like a human cannonball. As the first wave of Heartless came up, she uncrossed her arms, some of the wind tearing through the weaker Heartless as she slashed through two of them with her keyblades before she hit the ground. She turned around quickly, her keyblades moving in quick succession as she slashed through another, and then another. "Sorry," she said to Terra as she did this. "No armor. I'm with Arcadia today." She would have changed into her Heart's Armor, but an Arcadia operative had just died. And Chizu would have considered it disrespectful to whatever that death stood for if she didn't fight as an Arcadian now. She turned towards Oxkito and raised her hand. Two wind blades formed on either side of her, heading towards him. Chizu followed right behind them, a determined look on her face as she launched herself through the air towards him, raising her keyblades and attempting to slash at him with both of them. You're not the one I want to fight... she thought as she let out a battle cry and charged headlong towards him. So get out of my damn way. |

Karsus enters the area, and sees that at least one person has already decided to attack the Nobody. He pulls a kunai from the pleats of his hakama and throws it at Nickle, using his minor telekinetic ability to guide the knife toward Nickle's shoulder. "Wait a damn minute! What makes you think he's the enemy??" He dashes toward Chizu as well, holding his katana threateningly. |

| Netto E. Takashi | Mar 5 2010, 08:36 PM Post #9 |
|
Netto enters not long after Karsus and sees him throwing a knife at an ally. He uses his Magnetic Gloves to hold the kunai back, slowing it down and dragging it back into his hand. If Karsus activately fought against the magnetic pull, he could, theoretically, get the kunai to hit Nickle anyway, but it would be at a significantly reduced speed, and Nickle would have plenty of time to dodge it. Netto: Whether or not Oxkito is an enemy, you are NOT to attack your allies. Discord among our ranks will only serve to weaken us. Holding his Dimensionite Staff in his free hand, Netto summons Gospel's Fang (his Keyblade) over top of it, then uses the ability known as Ars Arcanum to throw the Keyblade through the masses of Heartless. Each time the Keyblade is thrown, it travels far enough to hit a specific target in the approximate middle of the horde, then warps back to Netto's hand for another throw. He throws Gospel's Fang a total of 5 times, the last throw being the more powerful "Ragnarok." Gospel's Fang was a Keyblade unlike any other. It was black with yellow spots that faded from barely visible to glowing and back again, making the Keyblade seem almost like it was alive. The teeth of the key were sharp white fangs, and two glowing yellow eyes sat on either side of the blade. Gospel's mane flowed out over the hilt, acting as a sort of hand protector for the wielder. This weapon had two special properties, the first being the ability for its wielder to use Ars Arcanum, a throwing technique that would otherwise require incredible skill with the Keyblade to pull off. The second ability is Gnash, wherein a lower jaw flips out of the back half of the blade and snaps onto the front half, with anything in between being "bitten" and trapped in Gospel's teeth. As Netto makes use of the first ability of Gospel's Fang, Randy pulls out a Keyblade of his own. VariableBlade, as it was called, was also unique. Its power fluxuated wildly, changing every few seconds. At its weakest (1% strength), it was about comparable to a wooden sword in terms of the damage it could deal, but at its strongest (100% strength), it could outperform most any other weapon on the battlefield. The VariableBlade itself was fairly plain, just a white key with realistic teeth. However, the color of the blade was constantly adjusting, green flowing down from the tip to a point corresponding to the weapon's current power level. The progression of strength was non-linear--that is, the difference between 1% and 2% was less than the difference between 2% and 3%. Randy had yet to determine what the actual damage formula was, but whenever the blade exceeded 85%, it was pretty much a guaranteed kill on any non-boss Heartless. Dashing forward, Randy attempts to use VariableBlade to slash an opening in the Heartless swarm, through which he could approach the inactive portal. Its blade charges to [result=1d100]91[/result]% strength, and the green part of it adjusts appropriately. |

Chosen of Ares

The Third District - the out of bounds region of Traverse Town, known for the countless legions of Heartless that stalk its streets. If there was a place in this hub city where the enemy would have an advantage, it would be here. And it appeared as if every single band of Heartless in the district have decided to group together in their multitudes. Star was right - the man in black Lavender was pursuing was none other than Okito, number 9 of Organization XIII. "Stand by for further instructions," Lavender relayed to the Arcadians who opted to stay outside of the Third District. The aeromancer gave a sickly-looking smile as she unslung her MP7A1 and manifested her Keyblade, Wind of Change. To think the enemy decided to launch a preemptive strike at them right here in Traverse Town. It was clear this meant that for once the Organization saw them as a threat. This felt somewhat reassuring for Lavender, which meant they'd come a long way since their first encounter, when she remembered how her first encounter with the Nobodies ended in a curbstomp battle against Kinclex. Kinclex; the thought of the name worried Lavender as she saw how Chizu had already begun engaging the enemy. The older aeromancer could only hope the younger one didn't get all gung-ho over the thought of a rematch with her nemesis. "Hesitation in this battle isn't exactly going to make this bugger go away," Lavender heard Nickle say. "I've learned that with Organisation members, the direct approach is best!" "Well said, Nickle-san!" Lavender relayed to Nickle as she swung her Keybade to unleash a pair of Saber Gusts at the Heartless, destroying the weaker ones that stood in the way - she would clear a path right through them to get to the Nobody that was once her colleague and subordinate. The flapping of wings and a roar announced Selene's arrival via Wyvern after the Briton dropped Star and Meglumar off at the gates leading to the Third District, the Shining Wyvern's light-infused form outlined brightly against the perpetual night sky. "Sorry it took me this long," Selene said as the Wyvern swooped down, raking into masses of Heartless before landing. "I have some ferrying to do." The English girl jumped off the back of her Wyvern after it landed, manifesting her Keyblade, Soaring Hope and casting Oath of the Sword - flourishing the two swords about before cutting down an incoming Soldier. The Briton hadn't forgotten what Lavender had said earlier about anything they would like to get off their chests, and she figured this would be as good a time as any to say it. One thing came into her mind was a slight pang of regret, ever since Hyakuji was destroyed the Briton had almost single-mindedly dedicated herself to Arcadia and its cause, living only for the day when their home could one day be salvaged from the darkness that consumed it. And thinking back of Jameson, Selene realized she had forgotten one of the most important things of them all - to live her life. Even in their quest to save Hyakuji and in his pursuit of the ideals of justice, Jameson hadn't forgotten to live his life and do what he enjoyed. Selene took a deep breath and closed her eyes, before looking up, straight ahead past the throngs of Heartless towards the portal where Nine stood. If they win this final assault, she would learn to be more appreciative of this life that was given to her; or failing that, die with the regret of having not lived her life. With that in mind, the Briton moved ahead behind her Wyvern, with the lesser wyrm sweeping aside lesser Heartless by the dozen with its mighty tail swings and tearing into them with its light-infused talons - and for any Heartless that somehow got past the Wyvern, Selene's Keyblade and sword of light would take care of those. "Wait a damn minute! What makes you think he's the enemy??" Karsus' attempt to attack Nickle with a thrown kunai hadn't gone unnoticed, as he would find his projectile knocked out of its path by a bullet, and if he were to trace where the shot came from, he would see Lavender with her MP7A1 raised and still smoking at the muzzle. "Now is not the time to talk politics!" Lavender shouted over the din of battle as she sliced through the nearby Heartless with her Keyblade, while still keeping her submachine gun trained on Karsus, ready to fire if he were to make a move towards Chizu with that katana of his. "Not when the enemy doesn't give a damn about which side you're on this time!" They could always demand answers out of Oxkito when they've fought their way to him, but until then they would have to watch their backs for Heartless coming in from all sides. "Stand by for further instructions," Lavender relayed to the Arcadians who had hesitated before running full-pelt into a notoriously dangerous and unpredictable part of Traverse Town. Yumi was only too happy to obey. Although she was willing to fight, if it came down to it, at that moment she would much prefer passive resistance. When the mysterious Organisation member had appeared and shot at Hiro, Yumi had felt nothing. She had not been able to feel shock, outrage, or even distress. She was still numb - the shock of Jameson's death had been too much, too recent, to allow her to feel any more. So yes, she was more than happy to just sit idly by and await further orders. It gave her life validation. And at that moment, she needed it, more than anything. She had become a vacant shell of a person, however - anything that Lavender commanded, she would do. Right then, that involved staying put, out of danger, which was good. But if sometime soon they were ordered into battle as reinforcements, well, so much the better. Somewhere in the back of her mind, a small part of her remembered to hope for the rest of her Arcadian comrades and friends to come out of the battle safely. But it was only a small part. Selene, Lavender ... Nickle ... so many others. They were all risking their lives at that moment. But Yumi felt nothing. |

"Standing by." Erin transmitted over her Neo Arcadia link. She was quite honestly scared of fighting an Organization XIII member directly. Discretion is the better part of valor, after all... She stood at the ready, prepared to jump in if she was needed. Jameson...are you...really dead...? ------------- "...So noisy." Vielle stood on the sidelines, watching the battle. It looked like some group was fighting the heartless and one other person. And they were doing it pretty loudly too. Couldn't these kids have their epic final battle on some other day? Her Aura Blade was prepped in case she ended up being pulled into the fray, but for now she took no action. The Lord Knight yawned and watched with mild interest. |

Zhimeng had jumped down from Selene's Wyvern in midair and smash her way through a few Shadows with a spinning kick. Just as she was preparing to use her Jiu-Yang Qi to attack the Heartless, a strange thing happened, her Qi suddenly form into two funny looking thing. Or rather, two swords, which much to her surprise, looked like the key blades that so many other people have. "Strange, I don't remember having these before, oh well, who cares." She commented as she uses her blades against some shadow. One of the key blade, she notice, is a huge piece of metal that has a burning end, she held it with her left hand, and commented, "Looks rather good, I shalt call thee Sky Flare, and thee" she look at her other Keyblade, which has no tangible form apart from the chain and handle, it is basically a rod of living fire with a curve at the end to form a key shape. "I like thy look; I think I will call thee Blazing Heaven!" as she weeps the Shadows with the scorching flame. Well, she had been chosen and sent her by her Military Advisor, Zhuge Xuanmeng, and as far as track records shows, that girl whom Kyonka calls 'Mad Woman' is infallible, her strategy nevers fails. Since Xuanmeng have chosen and sent her here, Zhimeng knows that this final assault will be a success and she will live through this. Well, maybe. As long as she's careful and don't do stupid things, Zhimeng know everything will be just all right. At least that's what she hoped. Well, life is great, and she wants to enjoy life as much as possible for as long as possible. And so, here it comes, the time to live life to the fullest, to save the multiverse from what may be the greatest nightmare of all time. But it's ok. To be part of a team to save the world, what more could a girl want? She remembered the ancient Chinese saying by Wen TianXiang, the great Song Prime Minister who fought against the invading Mongolians. "*是氣所磅礡,凜烈萬古存。當其貫日月,生死安足論?人生自古誰無死?留取丹心照汗青!" She cheered herself as she runs towards the enemies, with a confident smile on her face. "Time to dance." She concluded. *Meaning "This is about the Qi that is Great, piercingly cold and lasting all eternal. When it reaches the sun and the moon, life and death is of little significance. None since the advent of time have escaped death, but loyalty shalt forever illuminate the annals of history." Edited by Kounoko, Mar 6 2010, 04:03 PM.

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
"There seems to be a lot of destroyed buildings and burnt-down husks where homes used to be, huh, Master?" Kyra chirped, bounding from one roof to the next, noting all the destruction that occurred from the "Black Tower" topic. Even though the ONB currently were holding military bases in the Third Distict, it appeared that the heartless hordes had overrun it. Which basically means there were a lot of semiautomatic weapons and explosives lying around on the ground from the expedition teams, which could make the fight a bit difficult. Scooping up a pair of binoculars off the ground inbetween jumps, SH focused the lens to get a better view of the horde from the air. ".....Odd. If some of these guys control Heartless, why are these guys attacking them?" SH wondered out loud, riding on Kyra's backside. "But yes, we may start to run out of roofs at this point. We do have to clear out all these Heartless and prevent them from being used in the Nobody's plot." "So essentially, you plan to use that Battlechip combo?" She asked, quickly swerving out of the way of a lunging Heartless plane-thingy. "Yep. Send a e-mail to Netto to get Spectrum ready." SH nodded, aiming his six-barrel flare gun at the Large Bodies that were on the ground, and fired rapidly with timing and precision worthy of a sniper. Since they didn't have eyelids, the flare would go off with a flash of blinding light to engulf their large numbers as to cut down on their line of vision. "With this combo, we'll obliterate them in one shot if we're lucky." Custom:1 (Snake, Geddon2, Yggdrasil PA) |

Star let out a small 'oof' as she landed on the ground. She had jumped the last few feet from Selene's wyvern's back, and had miscalculated the distance. It was a little farther than she thought. She winced at the sudden shock that rang through her legs. Ouch. But she had fallen off trees before, so she knew that she had had worse. This one would fade in a little while. Star hugged her arms close to herself as Selene's wyvern flew away, listening to the sounds of combat coming from that area. She could rest now, but that rest was temporary. It wouldn't be long until she joined the fight. She tried her best not to think about whether or not she'd walk out of it. She swallowed, then summoned her keyblades again and held them in her hands. No point in obsessing about it. If she died, she died. She looked up at Yumi and Erin. She didn't know Erin very well, but she had fought alongside Yumi in Shinya. She knew that Yumi and Jameson were close. She wondered if Yumi was alright. Star was lucky enough to not have anyone close to her die in recent memory, but she could imagine how it felt. She could imagine how it felt to lose. Right now, Yumi was waiting with the rest of them, but there was something empty in the girl's eyes. Something missing... "...Yumi..." said Star, a concerned look on her face as she walked over to the other girl. Star placed her right keyblade in the ground point down, reaching up and placing her hand on the other girl's shoulder. There was concern in Star's expression, and sadness, but also warmth. It was a side of her that didn't usually come out on ordinary days. "We'll fix this, Yumi," she said, and she did her best to believe the words too. "We've got to. We've got to make it so that what he did counts for something. So...rely on us a little, m'kay?" She gave the other girl a tentative smile as they waited for orders, looking past Yumi for a moment so that she could meet Erin's eyes and nod. |
