Meteor On Ready?
|
At first, Ayane paid no mind to the sudden appearance of speaker-like devices within the illusionary city. The Faiz Gear had done a splendid job of keeping out the Nobody's sound-based attack so far, so she assumed that it would simply continue to do so. She was wrong. The Faiz Gear's helmet did a valiant job of separating sound frequencies, but the force of the sound waves themselves overwhelmed the gear, sending sound vibrating throughout its internal circuitry and causing Ayane to stumble about as if she were being hit by invisible blows. For just a moment, the image of a girl with black ribbons in her hair came to mind as a way to explain all this, but as quickly as Ayane thought of it, the thought was shoved aside and reality set in. The Gear alone could no longer defend against whatever this being was doing. What was left... ...was the non-scientific. There was a rather disturbing technique she'd learned how to use lately that might just come in handy against something as unnatural as supernaturally strong sound waves. She stopped walking, still being jostled by the music, and concentrated as best she could. Focused within, to the miasma of Dark energy surrounding her Heart. To expand it, send it throughout her body... then outward even further...! A few moments after stopping, the Faiz Gear stopped being knocked about as well. A pitch-black sphere of some sort had materialized around Faiz, rejecting completely every force this world had to offer, including sound. Within the sphere it was pure silence. Pure darkness. And for Ayane... pure hatred. Using this power only served to make the Dark stronger and her own mind's will weaker. But... if I don't get through this... it won't matter! I just... have to hold on... long enough to silence that bastard for good! AutoVajin, of course, remained unaffected by the sound attacks as it could move well beyond their range and continue attacking. Which is what it did, staying out of harm's way and continuing to spray Oxkito with fire. Faiz, on the other hand, was going to stop being passive and take matters into her own hands. Her objective was to just try her hand at hacking Oxkito to pieces, but there was just one problem. Someone was in her way. He'd put a barrier around Oxkito himself, one not unlike her own. While she didn't like to think it, she needed that barrier gone so that the Light-users could help kill Oxkito. If this was going to be resolved swiftly, that barrier needed to drop. And what luck--she could pass right through it. It was time to get rid of the obstacle in her path. Without saying anything--or more because she couldn't hear anything anyway through the Faiz Helmet and the Darkness Field--she changed her course at the last second and leapt right at Lanceman, jabbing the Faiz Edge at his abdomen. As expected, her own Dark alignment allowed her barrier and the one protecting Karsus to harmlessly pass through one another. Light users might not be able to penetrate one, and she might not be able to penetrate a Light barrier... ...but killing others of the Dark, that she could do! It was her goal, after all! |

Most of the Speaker Cubes were swiftly dispatched without much trouble as they were just that, on top of being undefended as well. Oxkito continued to play the swinging piece anyway without care until the fact that he was covered in darkness by one of his challengers. "Let's not be too hasty here.” The data being that appeared before him said. “We are not your enemies, unless you choose to fight against us. If your goal is contradictory to theirs, let me hear it. You need not be alone in your endeavor." “I work alone.” Oxkito replied curtly. “I always do.” If that wasn’t enough to tell the data being otherwise and stop bothering him with pointless questions when he’s trying to finish off these stragglers as fast he can, then he would have to lash out and attack physically right now. Only that he didn’t get the chance to do so when the armored Faiz appeared inside the darkness field around him as well and proceeded to jab at the Lanceman. What the result might be Oxkito wouldn’t know, as he uses the chance to drops himself into a corridor of darkness and pops back out into the open air: he’ll let Faiz handle the Lanceman if she so inclines. There were still five remaining Speaker Cubes in the vicinity that serves to amplify the sound attacks he uses: they will be sufficient for now unless their numbers dropped too low that he would have to summon the last set he is able to summon on to the field. For now, with the close combat that this will turn into, it was imperative that he gets into gear, and that means he’ll have to remove the black cloak that is his symbol of membership in the Organization: it would be a while since he fought without it and back in his old and favored combat form. “Senki… Youshiki!” Oxkito then chanted under the hood of his cloak, where it then suddenly caught on fire. His burning figure might be a scare to those who don’t know about him, and he counted on that fact to hammer fear into their hearts so that they would regret what were getting in to when fighting him. “Hoh!” And with that odd sounding cry from inside the fire, an arm reached out and threw the flames away, revealing not the cloaked figure of Oxkito nor his human figure underneath it. Now standing in his place, was a black and red armored figure with horns on his head giving the overall image of an oni, a being that once called itself ![]() “I am Otoki, and all of you will regret getting in my way.” He declared coldly before reaching to his back to withdrew two odd looking discs which he then threw up into the air. “Akaganetake! Keshikurokarasu!” The two discs would enlarge on command, and unfolded into two giant birds roughly the size of a trailer truck: Akaganetake is the red hawk looking bird while Keshikurokarasu is the black and gold crow. Akaganetake would fly after AutoVajin to slice the robot with its wings while Keshikurokarasu would go after the Gouram in an attempt to ram and ground the beetle-like machine. Otoki then materializes the Armed Saber into his open right hand which he then grabs tightly and lift up just in time to receive and parry the keyblade slash from Lavender, which would then be followed by a heavy kick to push the girl away, knowing her basic tactic of using wind based melee if she hadn’t changed them over the time he was gone. "Still with the moves I see, nothing much has changed with you is there, little commander?" Otoki berated in his deadpan voice. |

Without really thinking Erin made a cloud over Oxkito as he caught on fire. A heavy rain fell from above. This of course ended up being completely meaningless since their opponent tossed the flaming cloak away, revealing something very different and monstrous that probably wouldn't mind a small downpour directly above its head. Erin grinned. Alright. Things were going pretty good. They'd made their enemy transform at least. Though that might be a bad thing. Now they knew even less about their opponent. There was no reason to assume his new form was some sort of desperation attack. Well, that didn't matter. He was still ready to fight. Erin lifted up his keyblade. The cloud above Otoki sparked for a moment then a bolt struck down. Lightning? Yeah, he got lightning when he got a storm going. At least sometimes. Of course he never got lightning when he thought about it, but a bolt now probably meant there wouldn't be another one for a while. He wasn't going to count on any more striking anyways. Kouta idly had to wonder why everyone he ever encountered with a PET was a retarded monkey with supertech, but had to ignore the thought for now. For once in his life, the idiot actually felt insulted by another idiot's presence. Regardless, Ayane was able to get past the barrier...and at the same time Oxkito had decided to up the ante and transform so he could match everyone present. "If I had regrets, I wouldn't be here." Kouta commented, brandishing both Titan Swords and charging forth, right as Lavander was kicked away, the purple warrior would be there to follow up, jumping up and coming down with a double downwards cleave. Kouta wasn't as weak as he used to be, with the Golden Power under his full control he'd make use of everything he had to win. Meanwhile, the Gouram nimbly avoided the attack from the disk animal bird, only met with a scratch against it's tough armor before circling around in order to attempt to grab it with it's pincers! |

Aisia came in from above, flying about in Aile Form and watching the whole spectacle from above. The sound attacks still slammed into her, but seeing as they were still physical in nature, the Phase Shift was able to easily buffer them. But she knew that as long as those speakers were up, they would continue to emit their deadly sound. "... Goddammit, it looks like I'll have to try and disable the smaller speakers before going after him!" she muttered as she summoned her two keyblades. There was something she could do about them, after all, as long as Autovajin and the Gouram kept the two crows busy. She raised Oblivion in the air and tossed it like a boomerang at the middle, and raised her beam rifle at it! "KURAE!" She opened fire with two shots at her own keyblade, causing the beams to disperse into beam waves instead that aimed to cut through the speakers! Others in the area might be hit by them due to the spread, but as long as they were aware and had their defenses up, they should be able to dodge it! All the while, she watched with trepidation as Ayane once again attacked someone of their own, but it seemed that she was attacking him for being a retarded dumbass that protected the Nobody. She left her alone then. That was... their promise, after all. But for how long could she keep it? |

Although Lavender knew about Kitano's Sound Demon form, the sudden burst of flames still came as a surprise as with a bellowing shout, Kitano evoked the form of Otoki, causing the aeromancer to falter slightly in her advance. A clang and shower of sparks followed from steel meeting steel as Otoki parried Lavender's Keyblade strike. The aeromancer took Otoki's kick to the midsection, the force of the blow sending her skidding backwards, her feet plowing a trail of shattered pavement and upturned soil. "Guh!" Lavender grunted as she doubled over, clutching one hand to her midsection. The aeromancer had rolled with the impact at the last minute, and coupled with defensive use of aeromancy to create a wall of moving air in front of herself before Otoki's kick connected spared her from the possibility of sustaining multiple fractured ribs and damaged internal organs. "Still with the moves I see, nothing much has changed with you is there, little commander?" It almost felt unreal to Lavender to hear it from Kitano, bringing back memories of their little friendly sparring sessions in GLADIUS. There, these were the words the veteran GLADIUS agent would use whenever the much-younger commander got too heated up in combat and causing her attacks to lose their sense of variation and tactics. If it weren't for his current state as a Nobody and the fact that she might very well lose her life in this battle, it almost felt like she was reliving her days in GLADIUS. "That certainly sounds familiar," Lavender replied back, looking up at Otoki. "Seems that some things never change eh? For both you and I..." As soon as Lavender noticed Kouta's attempt to perform a double downward cleave, almost in tandem with Erin-boy's lightning bolt the aeromancer pitched in with an aerowhip maneuver, thrusting out a free hand towards her opponent's feet. Rapidly-moving streams of air circled around Otoki's feet, attempting to bind them like whips, to immobilize or at least slow the Nobody, therefore making it easier for Erin-boy and Kouta's strikes to land! |

"Commander!" Zhimeng shouted as she reloaded her gun after shooting down a few speakers with it. That idiot actually kicked Lavender, his old commander, even as he knows that his current boss is an evil monster with really bad intentions. To her, this man is a traitor. Nobody or not, for what ever reasons. He had betrayed the organization. He is now a nobody. Some form of being that is really dangerous. There is only one thing to do now. "Peto Abyssus! Matris futuor!" Zhimeng cursed the nobody as she rushed to just beside her commander, and fired her gun at him, five times, aiming with her scope. Five rounds of amour-piercing Tungsten carbide tip 9.2X45mm high energy Wildcat rounds, targeting his chest, his neck, his belly and his knees, the sharp rounds blast through the air at super sonic speed powered by having 25% Ballistite added to the IMR. At the same time, she readied her final shot, focusing on him, she aimed, and shot at his nose, basically, aiming for his head as she fired the last round. One of the five Jiu-Yang rounds she had charged up at the beginning of the battle. The first five rounds, were more of a distraction. The final round blasted through the air at supersonic speed with Jiu-Yang fire Qi towards Otoki's face. Whatever it hits, be it face or sword, it will explodes and bursts into flames that is injected with light power, and spread to the whole body within half a minute. "Va te faire foutre, Connard." OOC: Yeah, that's kinda the theme of EXE. Humans in the EXE world don't have any special powers, just high-tech gadgets that let them summon their Navis. BIC: Ayane dug her blade deep into Lanceman's back, only to be met with a surprise. Lanceman shatters apart, turning into a storm of kunai knives that swiftly fly back at Ayane. A moment after the kunai fly past, hit or miss, Lanceman reappears behind Ayane and throws a GoldFist punch at her back. "Do not interfere in my affairs." Lanceman lowers his own forcefield and ducks back out of Ayane's, attempting to determine where Oxkito went. He notices that his Tendrils of Darkness have failed to destroy some of the speakers, which was a pity, but the damage to him was minimal by Navi standards. With a quick nod, Lanceman generates a sword in his free hand and slashes in the general direction of one of the remaining speakers, a shockwave flying from the Z-Saber and attempting to finish off the speaker in question. Karsus, meanwhile, keeps his holy shield erect in order to prevent the few remaining speakers from damaging him. Custom: 2 Chips: GoldFist (active), Z-Saber (active), Yoyo, AirSword, AuraHead1 Programs: Evil Heart, Ninja Style |

The Faiz Edge dug into Lanceman... only far enough that he suddenly became a swarm of kunai which flew back at her. Most of them were repelled by the Faiz Armor itself--any nonserious external damage was repaired by the Photon Blood, as serious damage would cause the whole Gear to shut down instead--but the rest flew past harmlessly to reform behind her. However, like his kunai, he would find that due to a complete lack of description or profile reference the GoldFist program would be completely ineffective against the pseudo-metal plating of the Faiz Armor. Perhaps then it was fortunate that Lanceman then let her be, racing off to take down more speakers instead of staying to fight the female Rider who was slowly losing sanity both to the ridiculousness around her and the mentally crippling effects of the Darkness Field. It didn't help any that the Strike had appeared on her sensors... though it was ignoring her. She knew why. But promise me... if we see each other again, we're not fighting each other. I'm so tired of that. If we're working towards the same goal, I can't be allowed to stop you, and neither must you allow yourself to stop me. We're not allowed to help each other... either. At least... not overtly. It's the only way, and its only fair. Aisia's words rang freely through her head as they had back in the plaza. She had to ignore Aisia's presence completely, finish this quickly! ...quickly... Once more, she glanced towards the red wristwatch. There had been a written warning included with it, that it could not be used consecutively else the user's body would be strained to the point of breaking, possibly even death. It didn't specify how long it would take to recover, either. Like all of Leo's original inventions, it had gone completely untested until reaching Ayane's guinea-pig hands. She had been saving its experimental christening for someone more important than Oxkito. Perhaps that was a mistake. It was time to end this faster than should be possible. It was time to bend the rules. It was time... to ignore time. Ayane dropped her Darkness Field and removed the Accel Mission Memory from the Accel Watch, slipping it into place upon the Faiz Phone in her belt. [COMPLETE] The belt once more made a sound like it did when she became Faiz, but this time the chestplates folded back over her shoulders to expose some sort of power core, the red Photon Blood channels all turned silver, and the yellow 'eyes' of the Faiz Gear turned blood red. This was Accel Form. A form capable of performing one single feat--moving at almost relativistic speeds for ten seconds. She reached up and put her finger against the red button on the Accel Watch and turned towards where Oxkito--now Otoki--was. ![]() "These ten seconds... will be your last." Then, she pushed the button. [START UP] To anyone not capable of keeping up with something going that speed, Faiz would suddenly vanish from sight. For her, time seemed to slow down--even though it was she who was speeding up, not the other way around. She ran across the sides of buildings, the ground, anything on her way to Otoki. It took all of maybe a second in the normal world, then she was right up next to him and began to hack away. The other benefit of Accel Form was that Faiz's selected weapon--the Faiz Edge in this instance--was always in Exceed Charge. Its crimson blade sizzled constantly with energy even as she slashed at him mercilessly. In those remaining eight or nine seconds, she must have cut at him tens of times. Then her time would run out. [3]...[2]...[1] [TIME OUT] [REFORMATION] Faiz returned to the speed of normal beings, the armor returning to its original state as she placed the Accel Mission Memory back into the Accel Watch. Did it work? She'd just have to turn around and find out. AutoVajin, meanwhile, was in much worse shape. Otoki's massive drumlike weapon had come upon it while it was unaware, and did indeed manage to knock the poor robot right out of the battle. It was hit by Akaganetake's strike and sent spiralling to the ground where it hit the pavement and sizzled as its circuits shut down to protect itself from further damage. Ayane was relatively on her own now. Edited by Ayane Isuzu, Mar 19 2010, 07:22 AM.

Erin felt that the sound attacks thumping against her shields had grown slightly softer. Releasing Aegis, she found that some of the speakers had been destroyed. "They're destructible...?" She wasn't quite sure she wanted to engage Oxkito just yet. Especially with Lavender there. Two aeromancers trying to move the same wind needed to be better coordinated. Erin summoned her keyblade and her blade of light, taking the same dual-wielding stance she took against Mayu's heartless. Taking a moment to survey the battlefield, she went after one of the speakers.

No sooner had he kicked Lavender away from him, the lavender haired girl summoned streams of air around his feet which almost binds him in place if not for his immense strength, leaving him slightly slowed down as he tries to walk away from his position. But the deed was done, and by slowing him down for a few seconds was enough to leave him open to the combined attacks of those facing him. From the clouds Erin made above him, a light drizzle fell, covering almost every inch of his armored figure with water before a lightning bolt strikes him from the cloud, eliciting a pained scream from him as he was being electrocuted. It resulted him kneeling down and struggling to keep his footing. Also from above, Otoki can hear Kouta was coming down hard with a slash with his mighty Titan Sword and even in his slightly shocked state, Otoki knows that a hit by the blade the young Rider wields would hurt a lot. In response, the same, large guitar weapon that serves also as a deadly axe that he was wielding earlier materialized in his left hand, and he raises it to parry and knock the Rider away with an almighty swing and as much force as he can muster behind it. Zhimeng, who was standing back at shooting at him would find that her first volley of shots fired would be deflected rather easily with the Armed Saber in Otoki’s right hand. With the last shot she fired however, Otoki was able to deflect it just as well but with the larger and sturdier guitar-axe weapon and at angle so that the supersonic bullet, which he could detect just by listening for it telltale whistling, would shot and explode upwards away from him. And then there was Ayane, who had the audacity to say out loud that she was going to attack. Otoki only saw her at first before transformed herself into a new form and disappear. Bracing himself, slash after slash suddenly cut across his entire form until the last one caused an explosion and hurtled the somewhat unprepared Nobody backwards until he was down on the ground, his guitar-axe spinning across the ground as well after he was forced to let go by the explosion. But, he didn’t stay there long and moments later, he unbelievably was back up on his feet, rather slowly at first but was up standing either way with an arm across his chest where Ayane had struck him multiple times as if to nurse it. “That was good, girl. Very good.” Otoki said with slightly labored breaths but with a hint of mocking underneath it at Ayane. “But it’ll take more than that to finish me off. Unlike you who rely on the technology of your suit to fight, I have to train my own body to be able to withstand anything, even your feeble stick, as you can see. Plus…” Without warning, Otoki ran towards her with the Armed Saber swinging for her head! “Your heart was wavering and your rhythm disturbed throughout your strikes; I can hear it from within you. Something is bothering you. Or is it, someone?” As he says that, Akaganetake, after finishing with taking AutoVajin out of the fight, turns and sweeps towards Aisia, and like the AutoVajin, the red hawk would also try to slash and cut the Gundam girl in half with its vibrating wings. “I wonder who could it be? Is the person here, I wonder?” Otoki would add, almost derisively. Meanwhile, Keshikurokarasu’s frail looking design belies great strength and durability; despite now having a large metal beetle latched onto it, the black crow turns to dive down and crash into a nearby building, hoping to take the Gouram off it. All in all, all the speaker cubes Otoki had summoned earlier are finally destroyed, and the battle area is now free of the pounding noise. |

Erin didn't want to engage in melee with Otoki with so many other fighters in close proximity. Her fighting style required lots of room to maneuver. Instead, she held out her keyblade. At the tip of the sword, an orb of air began to form. "I have the power...to protect Hyakuji...!" Erin remembered the time she had said that. My limits have grown since then... At that time, Erin had created a sphere of air 50 meters in diameter. She couldn't do anything like that again on her own. But she had shown herself that she could do better. The sphere of air grew larger and larger until it reached a diameter of a full meter. With a loud WHUMPH, the air within flew in the general direction Otoki at one hundred meters a second. The shockwave from the blast blew Erin's hair in every direction. "Lavender!" Erin said over the Arcadian link, "Catch!" Lavender was a better aeromancer, and more importantly, she was right there near Otoki. She could take Erin's attack and make it more powerful and more accurate. An attack made by two people is stronger than either of them could be separately. |

It was nice that the voice in the sky that responded to his thoughts agreed that everyone from EXE world was in fact, just a retarded monkey with supertech that assumed everyone knew what it did because it was in fact, supertech. At least he could concentrate on the battle better now that it was cleared up, after all, one couldn't really stay mad at a retard getting in the way, they usually didn't know what they were doing. I mean, they continued to believe their worlds rules and plots kept applying here...is it that hard to say an attack does rather than constantly saying it's name and assuming we know it works...? Regardless, he was knocked away by the powerful guitar axe swing, a rarity given that he was in Titan form, but at the same time expected, he had nothing to brace himself with in the air, after all. Regardless he was pushed back and had to get back up...he had to rethink his options. His power within Titan was no good, he was slow making it easily parried by the well trained warrior. Speed seemed to fail in that Oxkito was somehow able to keep up and tank Faiz Accel...which was something even faster than his own Dragon Form. And he lacked the proper weapon to make use of Pegasus Form...which he didn't want to use due to the limit being reduced to thirty seconds due to the Golden Power. So...would he need to bust out his trump form so soon? He had more power than this...but he was saving it for another time. Kouta had continued training himself to master his powers as Kuuga, which is why he could use the Golden Power so freely now...but at the same time the Arcle continued to evolve. He had a new form that emerged due to this training, but was unsure about using it...because it was the equivalent of using the Golden Power twice in a row. So for now...Kouta reverted to his Mighty form. The red and gold armor replacing the purple in an instant. He needed time to prepare the form, so he reverted to his default, dispelling his keyblades and returning to the weapons he was most accustomed to: his limbs. He'd wait for the right moment...focusing energy into his right leg, the moment Ayane dealt with Oxkito's counter... The Oni would be dealing with the red warrior running, flipping forward and coming down with the flying side-kick powered by the Mighty Anklet! And even though it had crashed into a building...the Gouram proved that it was indeed the Ultimate Armor, it was durable to a point and just wouldn't let go of it's prey as it continued to try and crush it within it's mandibles.
