NICE DRIVE!

Dark City had become a literal battleground. All around the sounds of full on war erupted as Order Knights, BOARD Riders, Arcadians, hundreds of people had come and were all facing off against not only the mass of Heartless that overran the city but also the Organization's Nobodies. The key points in Dark City were already being held and Xiroh knew that the Castle was well guarded. At Xemnas' insistence he had thus placed himself, garbed in the required Org robe, in a place of no visible important. Xiroh awaited the arrival of opponents along one of the many streets that ran directly towards the Castle's entrance. He would be the opponent of those souls unlucky enough to choose this street above others. Xiroh made no means of waiting to get the drop on his enemies and instead sat in the very center of the road, legs folded, in a meditative state with a single sheathed katana laying before him. All around he could hear the sounds of weapons clashing and people dying. The death and destruction was so immense Xiroh could sense a thick aura of negative energy churning throughout all of the Dark City; it was driving the Heartless into a drunken frenzy. However, Xiroh remained perfectly calm. His breath regulated in a matter of perfection and he knew that, had he possessed it, the emotions in his heart would be at peace free from any anticipation or worry. Xiroh resented his original, Hiro Tsukasa, for being so naturally blessed with powers whereas he was devoid of Magic and all his skill with the sword, the Mastery of Space and his Reality Marble he had to spend countless hours and days training to achieve where he was now. Xemnas had guided him, honed his focus, taught him the discipline needed to perfect the skills he now had. It was for this reason Xiroh was ready; he knew the odds of his death were high and he was mostly serving as a delay for Xemnas to activate Kingdom Hearts. However, Xiroh accepted the fate willingly. A true Samurai is loyal to his Lord until the very end; he had come this far and he would never shame Xemnas now. "Let them come," Xiroh mumbled to himself softly as he remained in a state of perfect peace. |

The Wolf

Kazuma was one of the first to get through the gate, and skidded to a halt as soon as he was through. He was in a city, a big one from the looks of things. The sky was pitch black with dark, roiling clouds, except for a large, heart shaped moon hanging over the center of the city. And beneath that moon was a massive white castle, balanced impossibly on a base that looked as thin as the many towers it supported. Kazuma had only a moment to take all this in before Heartless began pouring from the buildings. Kazuma didn't even try to fight them all, but crouched down and jumped, the force of his kickoff leaving a crater in the street. In mid air he turned, holding out two scrolls that glowed blue with energy. He through them down into the growing mass of Heartless and two Ice Dragons erupted from them. "Play with them if you want," he called to the Heartless as the dragons began slaughtering any Heartless they saw. Kazuma landed on top of one of the skyscrapers and leapt again, landing on an even taller building, the tallest for a good ways in fact. Kazuma looked down on the city, looking for a Nobody, adjusting the thickness of his visor to improve the range of his vision. After a few minutes of looking he found one, sitting in the middle of an intersection with a katana in front of him in the method of a samurai. Intriguing. Kazuma backed up to the opposite edge of the building, then sprinted across the roof and launched himself into the air, aiming for the intersection where the Nobody sat. With an explosion of dust and rubble kazuma landed in the street a couple blocks in front of the Nobody. When the dust had cleared he was standing in a small depression, facing the Nobody without showing any signs of having just dropped a few dozen stories. His Armor was different though, thicker, larger. He had switched to his Defence Mode before he hit the ground. Kazuma began walking toward the Nobody, and as he did his armor and Keyblades vanished to be replaced with his normal mage robes and his Naginata. He stopped in a few feet in front of the Nobody, pointed his Naginata at it, and said, in a calm and level voice, "Greetings, Nobody. I am Tadayoshi Kazuma of the Order of the Cardinal Skies and a Knight if the Northern Skies. Take up your sword and defend yourself." |

Illist had slipped his way through and into the massive nowhere city, taking it in his stride. The din of fighting and hungry roars echoed out over the gloom that sat over the place like a pudding soaked blanket. His Remnants flanked his stroll between the looming structures; street prowling Heartless being picked apart at the slightest display of aggression. Booms, screams and other more cacophonous sounds rung out but suddenly they all seemed quite too close for comfort as something massive and blue moved past the alleyway opening before him. The scientist tilled his head, eyebrow cocked and otherwise very nonplussed. "Why do they have to show off." the closest Remnant giving a shrug in response. "At least it's clearing the way, I suppose." The ghosts formed closer around their master as he waded through the Heartless bodies, battered and castes from street end to end by the twin dragons. Giving one a swift kick to the jaw as it crawled for the safety of a gutter; his Remnants floated over and finished the creature off, their collective claws reducing it to a rather unpleasant stain. Coming to the alley networks end, a high street opened out before him; complete with it's own cloaked guardian. He'd not seen the Nobody till he was mid step out of the safety of the alleyway. Staring wide eyed at the meditating creature with pursed lips, he revered his movement very slowly into the alley again. They seem intent to slow our progress. Quaint. As he thought of a way to end this encounter quickly, a massive bust of energy surged through the area; the shock waves flooding through the alley, sending Remnants flying backwards and putting Illist in a dizzying spin. By the time Illist had recomposed himself, the second figure that created the impolite explosion had already issued the Nobody with a challenge How fortuitous. The sounds of war had taken their leave, the immediate area growing still as the main body of fighting moved more towards the Castle. Illist smiled, metal tipped boots clacking against the cobbled road. Stepping out of the alleyway to stand a little way behind the now robed name with the rather imposing naginata, he bellowed "Is this an old fashion duel, or can any gentleman join?" |

As the Cardinal Skies Knight introduced himself Xiroh smirked with interest. It seemed, as if by some stroke of fate, he was facing someone of a similar lifestyle. Exhaling slowly Xiroh rose grasping the katana before him and pulling it from the ground. "Tadayoshi Kazuma of the Order of the Cardinal Skies and a Knight if the Northern Skies," Xiroh repeated as he studied the his foe slowly, "Call me Xiroh, Space Samurai, Number Seven of Organization XIII." Extending an arm suddenly a myriad of small circular portals opened all across the sky above the street they were on. Smirking, Xiroh noticed another had come to join the fight as well. "It's okay," Xiroh answered the newcomer's question, "I'll take you both on. However, I swear this to you now... as long as there is a breath in my body. You'll not take a single step further towards Lord Xemnas!" Quickly, Xiroh readied his katana in a proper fighting stance and then hopped back several times placing decent distance between himself and Kazuma. "Now," Xiroh called in an angered tone, "Come and strike at me if you dare!" |

Those One Dudes \T1D/™

OOC: Continue posting on without me for the next couple of days. I'm just bringing him in for now to observe. I'll continue when I return. Just like the rest of them Jeremiah was following them towards the castle, to get the final fight against the nobodies. He was one of the last to make it through the gate, that was formed in the third district. A few others had already made their way through the city and into the castle before them. above their heads held the sky that shown a bright vision of the Kingdom Hearts in full. Pleasant. It was if the view was comforting because of his artistic appearance. It didn't matter how pretty it looked, the KH was still a weapon. A weapon that must be destroyed to make sure everyone gets their heart returned.
His hearing enhancing caught the voice of what sounded like someone he known. He walked around to open street to find that there were three guys standing in the middle conversating with each other. Then listening into the rest this hood figure had to say, it was obvious that he was a Nobody. Pledging his allegiance to this Xemnas, and his life on protecting a route into the castle, he jumped into a fighting stance against the two. It wouldn't be sensible to jump into the fight and join the two who were obviously trying to break through, so his best option would be to observe, analyze and counter when the time was right. |

A shouting, screeching and explosive choir that ringed all over the began to wax and wane; one front advancing while another's push was thwarted; alley ways and hollow buildings channeling the ocean of sounds right through the streets. It was practically impossible to hear exactly what the samurai had said, but taking his sudden angry sort of shouting and body language into account it was clear to Illist he was rearing for a fight. Between the Knight and the Space Samurai, Illist had been quietly slipping his Remnants from behind his coat tails; from in front it look like nothing but a flutter in the ill breeze that followed the din of war. In addition to the 4 that hovered beside him; there were 4 more making their way around the back alleys, avoiding the Heartless and Nobodies on patrol, achieving vantage points from which they mite be useful later. Illist had already taken note of the portals summoned by the Nobody samurai; sensing something transient in their nature. Flexing his hands, they instantly formed the half meter scalpel talons he so favored for his more detailed dissections. If the Nobody had know what that choice of weapon meant, his sense of honor in death may have been shaken. Two more Remnants, compressed themselves, moving within the seams of the Dimensional coat's sleeves, like doves in a magic trick, they waiting tense. "what ever happened to turning at twenty paces?" Illist smiled, chuckling inwardly at the thought, before his brought back his "serious business" face. The chilly air particularly conducive for dramatic pauses, and this being a battle field, Illist only found it fair to stare down his opponent one last time in a tradition show down sort of stance before giving an intimidating performance. He ran full kilter at the obviously prepared swordsman, talons dragging over the ground, leaving a trough of carved up cobble stone and sparks in his wake towards the samurai. Illist, of course had no intention of actually striking the Nobody. This was a mock charge of the more calculated order. Illist mite have been casting the first stone, but he knew how the game of skipping stones worked. OOC: yeah, I'm not going to bother with spoiler boxes. We're all big kids here. |

"An MVP party of 2 people?" Vielle wondered aloud, "Hmm...looks more like a WoE skirmish." The Lord Knight approached the battle. "2 on 1 isn't very fair." she looked over Xiroh with interest. "A guy like that would need a whole guild to take down..." In her right hand: The Blade of Atroce ![]() A monstrous sword, two meters long, once belonging to the terrifying "Beast of Arunafeltz". It weighs over 200 pounds, yet Vielle swings it with ease. A conceptual weapon inscribed with the power to smash through defenses and break armor. In her left hand: Keychain "The Sign" ![]() Identification of the "Gods' Chosen", one tested by the gods and designated to enter Valhalla. Made by divine hands, it acts as a 'key' that can even open the doors of the godly realms. It was given to Vielle by the Valkyrie Sandra so that she could enter the divine place after her death. Keyblade "Valhalla" A keyblade colored white and blue after the sky, adorned with wings and angelic feathers. Large enough to be wielded in two hands, yet Vielle uses only one. A divine keyblade infused with the power of the Valkyrie's gift, giving it the ability to match the power of Light, even though Vielle herself is neutral. A weapon on the level of a Noble Phantasm. "The best strategy for taking this kind of castle would just be to run by and get to the Emperium..." With two weapons, both at 190 ASPD, and Cursed Waters, Vielle estimated her emp break time to be 5 to 10 seconds, without Frenzy. "...but does this castle even have one? It's hard to be certain of such things when I'm outside of my home world..." Ether tendrils wrapped around Vielle's two swords as she called her Aura Blade. The support version of the spell as oppose to the anti-army one, of course. "Worth a shot. Dular should be pleased when he finds out I took a castle for him in his absence." Vielle took off, running full speed past the enemy in an attempt to simply ignore Xiroh completely and rush to the castle's emp room. |

"Get back here!!"Django was still yelling when he ran through the portal and arrived here. "Wait....where is he?" "It appears that he was spat out into another area,"Otenko said. "Fine. He can handle them on his own. Lets deal with what ever else we have here,"Django said. He saw everyone charging at the Nobody. "Ummm.....it seems they've started without me,"he muttered as he drew His Solar Blade imbued with light powers and his keyblade imbued with solar powers. "Wait, don't charge head first, remember?"Otenko said. "Right, this is just like fighting a vampire. Find their weakness, hit them when you get a chance, then finish them with a powerful last attack,"Django said. He held back and waited to see how the Nobody would retaliate to his attackers before he would go and assist. He probably wouldn't go all out at first anyway. |

"Multiple enemies whom all think they are so privileged as to ignore a simple samurai..." Xiroh said with a small hiss. The sheer arrogance of these brats to think they all had the luxury and time to stand around waiting for him to take the first move. Well then so be it! If they were waiting for him to make the first move then that is exactly what he'd do. He moved rapidly, his entire body catapulted forward with one massive leap. All in one motion his arm reached into the air where a spatial rift appeared giving him his legendary blade "Sword of Omens" As soon as it touched his hand, the faction of the second it contacted his flesh, he thrust his arm and the blade along the straight path using his momentarily enhanced vision to send the sword at incredible speeds across the battlefield into the retreating girl's back with the precision to slice a fly, accounting for her speed and the gravity the throw was perfect. All of this happened mid-leap. His feet touched the ground, his arm traveled forward with the momentum of the throw, perfectly in the path so that his hand slid perfectly onto a sheath of a katana at his side. He shifted his feet, the momentum of the leap changed as he dug his sandled feet into the ground. The arm clutching the katana flashed in one fluid blur and suddenly the charging spirit would find a blade coming directly on it's path, set to pierce the very heart. However this blade was special. Part of his collection of unique swords this was one of many able to pierce the very soul. A single strike or knick from this blade would fatigue the foe, draining them of their tawdry powers they abused with such reckless abandon. His arm was now fully extended towards the charging man. However he gripped the very air itself, and within that grip the legendary blade Masa appeared. His other hand was behind his back, already gripping Mune. "Don't presume to think you have the option to observe.." He said before swinging both blades in front of him, as they cross paths the sky itself was cut. The blades created two vacuums of air using his spatial distortion along their legendarily sharp edges. The effect was a massive x-shaped razor-blade attack hurtling towards the hidden Jerimiah. This was no supernatural power, but merely the effect of the creation of an absence of matter with his ability and the force and shape of the blade slash he'd performed. "Engage me at your own risk.. Or idle about and commit yourself to an equally perilous position.. Either way my words stand true. No one takes a step nearer to Lord Xemnas without carving the path through me." |

"Master, ready the Pile Driver,"Django said. "Will do,"Otenko said as he began to summon up a magic circle of glowing light. Django looked at his two weapons that he was holding. "Gotta stall for time," he muttered. Then he saw that this foe controlled space. "Dang,"he said. He charged at Xiroh, the intent was not to kill but to be prepared to avoid the soon to be coming attack. He kept his weapons ready in a convincing attack position as he attempted to slash the Nobody while keeping an eye on his foe's weapons. |

Kazuma stood to one side in a fighting stance, his legs spread on front of and behind him, his Naginata held in both hands and slanted with the point down near his forward foot with the blade facing upward, his Hearts Armor gleaming in the light from the city lights and the large, heart shaped moon. He stood back and watched as some of his impromptu comrades engaged the Nobody. He had moved back when the strange man with the ghosts had begun his charge, and had watched as a few others had come by, some joining in the fight, one trying to bypass the Nobody and reach the castle. That appeared to be something it could not allow, as it moved with blinding speed, pulling a sword from one of the dimensional portals and threw it at the back of the woman how had passed it on her way to the castle. Crap it, Kazuma though as he switched to his Speed Mode and took off after the sword. Even with the Speed Mode's help, he barely made it, appearing alongside the blade when it was inches from the woman. With a deft swing of his Naginata he struck the broadsword, not to stop it, but to simply change its trajectory. With a faint whistling noise it whisked passed the woman's head, centimeters from her left ear, and disappeared over the moonlit city. Kazuma dropped to a rooftop, skidding along the concrete surface till his momentum ran out. He glanced at the woman, and recognized her. A small, wry grin crossed his face as he remembered a night he had spent in the Third District a few months back. With a brief wave, he leaped off the building, heading back to the fight. |

Vielle stopped running only for a moment. The sword whizzed by her head. She recognized Kazuma. It had been a while since she had seen anyone she recognized. "Thank you for your assistance." she replied, in her usual deadpan tone. Xiroh seemed determined to not let her get to the castle. However, she was already on the other side of him, in-between the castle and the samurai. His ranged attack had failed at stopping her. If the samurai left the others alone to pursue her, that would leave him open to attack. Which was fine by her. Vielle continued running towards the castle. To her, it didn't matter whether the nobodies themselves were vanquished - the important thing was the castle. Capture the castle and you win. That was her mindset. |

"Hmph.." Xiroh smirked. He reached into the sky withdrawing a blade. "They still underestimate me.." He stepped back, even as the rushing Otenko approached he vanished into one of his dimensional pockets. He appeared in front of the girl. In front of him he reached into the sky itself drawing forth from a dimensional space two new blades. "Laevatein" He said firmly. "The sword for whom defeat is supposedly impossible.." He smirked a bit. "And Hrunting.. The sword that never fails.." He said lowering his stance. "Both blades are legendary and without equal in this world.. But I at least kept it sporting by not drawing forth my best weapons. For a coward whom fears honorable battle these are enough." Meanwhile across the battlefield a third blade emerged. Freyr's sword, it floated in front of the 'heroic' Kazuma before rushing forward to spear straight through him. This was a 'dancing sword' from legend. A blade with the ability to move on it's own. Xiroh lowered his stand before swinging both blades. The swords cleaved through the air itself, creating a shockwave four times his own size cutting towards her. He then shifted his stance and prepared the X-Slash once more. His two blades crossed forming an X, using the absence of air honed into a blade along the edge of his swords he sent the x-shaped attack at the girl. "Perhaps it is time to stop running..." |

Ravum Aedes Sacra Vielle swung the Aura Blade coated Valhalla in front of her. Laevateinn and Hrunting were certainly powerful Noble Phantasms. She had seen few weapons of their caliber in her lifetime. Valhalla by itself may not have stood up to the task. Even a divine weapon has trouble against such things. But the Aura Blade enchantment allowed it to cut through the first shockwave. Immediately after, being unable to raise her keyblade again in time, she thrust forward the Blade of Atrocity to meet the X slash. It was a powerful conceptual weapon, but it couldn't stand up to the force of Noble Phantasms. Gathering her power, Vielle unleashed the Aura Blade from her sword. ![]() Light and screaming wind met Xiroh's second attack and destroyed it. Vielle quickly touched the two blades together, transferring the persisting aura from Valhalla to Atrocity. Both of her blades were once again primed for attack. "It is not that I fear battle. It is that your definition of battle is too narrow." Vielle says, "I am not running away, but running towards a larger goal. I would not waste my power picking at mice while the deer runs free." Vielle jumped, surpassing Xiroh's height by several meters. The great castle on the horizon never left her vision. "I am not a lowly mercenary who kills troops for fun. I am a soldier. You may fight the battle, but I fight the war." She swept downwards through the air with both swords held true. "If you cannot stop me from reaching the heart of the castle, then you are insignificant. If you wish for me to regard you as an opponent, then prove to me that I have no course but to defeat you." The Wolf

Kazuma heard the faint whistling that the blade made as it cut through the air just in time. Seconds before it struck he turned, changing his armor to Defense Mode. He raised his arms just in time to stop the sword. The force of the blow sent him flying to the ground, but he managed to land on his feet. With a jerk he ripped the sword out of his Armor and threw it away, then had to jump back as it swung at him, moving entirely on its own. Kazuma switched his Armor to Attack Mode, and in a flurry of motion the sword and the wizard began to duel. It soon became apparent to Kazuma that he was at a disadvantage. He was an equal match for the sword when it came to skill, but without a means to injure his opponent, it was clear he would lose if the fight dragged out. With that realization, Kazuma jumped back from a viscous swing at his head. He took out a scroll like the ones he had used earlier and threw it at the sword, which promptly cut it in half. With a loud BANG the scroll exploded, and when the smoke cleared the sword was trapped within a massive cube of solid ice, unable to move at all. |
