Katerine didn't care for the explanations. She didn't care...that much. But when 7 Death Knights materialized into being, she held her weapons before her. Her fingers were on the triggers, ready to fire. They came, swords held high. Katerine responded at the movement by firing her weapons. Staggered, she fired the blaygun first, then the phone, in quick succession, until she expended the energy on the phone. Only then did she move, quickly jumping back and to the side to avoid her opponent. She would flick the phone close and return it to her belt, materializing "Courage" from her left hand, and as she landed, she got back in a stance, hunched over and looking asif she were to bounce forward any second, the keyblade held forward with its blade down, and the Blaygun held behind it, close to her face and her finger on the trigger. |

The Dark Knights were not to be underestimated. Even as Hajime's kick connected with the Dark Knight, his counterattack was stopped by a couple of parries with its sword. However, it didn't attack back. As for Duo's attack, it simply jumped back and avoided the green beam thanks to the momentum of having its own sword shoved away. It once more threw itself at Duo with an overhead slice! Kyonka was... well, being an idiot. At least make the effort to dodge the damn attack as opposed to just running away or saying that you kicked it without actually making a kick. Anyway, the Dark Knight just sweatdropped and backhanded her with the flat edge of its sword, sending her flying towards whatever the hell she summoned through whatever portal she made. Selene was a little bit more successful at shoving the Nobody back. The Dark Knight staggered from the shove, but was able to deflect the incoming slash from the keyblade, the tip just mere inches from missing the left shoulder. However, now that she was in close range after it was shoved back from the Valkyrie, it released one hand's hold on the hilt and moved to punch her in the face with its gauntlet! Kazuna's attacks were mostly dealt with in the same manner as Hajime's attacks. And like the other Nobody, it too didn't attack back. Seth would find that the apparent heaviness of the armor belied its agility. It avoided the upward strike by doing an attack of its own: it stepped inside the arc of the slash, and aimed to headbutt the warrior on the head! Katerine had her own problems. The blaygun's shots were being parried as if the knight was some kind of Jedi Master, though some shots got through and left dents in the armor. It didn't make a move to attack though, in fact, it drew back close to the other two Dark Knights that didn't attack and assumed a defensive position with them. All three Nobodies stood close to each other, swords at the ready. "What the hell, Hotaru!?" Den-Otoha yelled as she dodged Xaturoh's horizontal slash by jumping over it (and her), then bringing down the DenGasher on her head. That was, however, stopped by Xaturoh's sword, which was raised up to parry the attack without her looking. "The fuck is this!? Why do you want us to defeat you!?" "I told you before, nee-san. If you can't even defeat me, then you have no right trying to face him," she grunted as she turned in place to face her sister while slashing back, forcing the Kamen Rider to leap back. The Dark Knight recovered swiftly from being shoved back by Selene's Valkyrie, raising its sword to parry the Briton's Keyblade when it was mere inches from connecting with his left shoulder, followed by a counter in the form of a punch aimed at the face from a gauntleted hand! Selene reeled backwards on the impact as the Dark Knight's fist connected, planting her Keyblade into the floor to prop herself upright just before she fell back on her bum. Ouch... Selene thought as she let go of her Keyblade, raising her hands in front of her as she cast Oath of the Wand. A glowing orb of light appeared between Selene's hands as she looked up at the Nobody. Thrusting her hands forward, the Briton let fly her luminous projectile, sending it flying towards the Dark Knight's helmed head. Sensing her mistress' intentions, the Radiant Valkyrie made her move as she shot forward in the wake of Selene's orb of light, raising her light-infused claymore and making a horizontal slash towards the Nobody's midsection. |

Always one to keep an offensive most of the time, Hajime failed to see the Dark Knight he was fighting wasn’t retaliating much as he continued to lash out and break the Dark Knight’s defensive parrying. While the purpose was not clear to him, what was clear is that with each slash, of the keyblade, he was slowly getting angrier. “<Stop wasting my time and get out of my way!>” Hajime roared at the Dark Knight. Hajime thought that it was buying time, time that as seconds passed, would lead to an unfortunate turn of events, or so he believed vehemently. Slightly fed up, Hajime angrily tries to parry away the Dark Knight’s sword so he can make another opening to thrust in with his Hidden Dragon. And all the while, he risks stealing glances at the fight going on between Den-O and... 'Hotaru'. Edited by Xing, Mar 19 2010, 01:07 AM.

Duo's slash missed the powerful Nobody as it fell backward from his initial shove. "Chh, not bad." As the blade came down, it sliced a clean cut into the hard floor, the stone glowing from the intensity of the heat. It seemed these things weren't just mindless drones. They knew at least a enough about tactics to manage in a fight. However, Duo wasn't about to let some grunt make a fool out of him. As the momentum of his swing brought him forward, he leaned forward, turning it into a roll. As he returned to his feet, right in front of the Knight, its sword upraised. He instantly activated a burst from the boosters in his suit, launching him up to the Knight's face. He then delivered a full powered kick to the thing's chest, sending Duo back away from the Nobody. However, this was more than a simple kick. As Duo's foot connected with the body, He swung his scythe around, the curved edge of the blade behind the Knight. As he fell back, the blade ready to take off the thing's head, as well as its right arm. "Then how about this?" |

"I immediately take back what I just said." Seth braced himself to take the headbutt as best as he could. There was no way he could dodge an attack that quick at this range. He suddenly regretted wishing the enemy would survive. "Damn wishes. Screwing me over like that." He took the hit and staggered back. His healing factor kept the hit from being too bad but it did rattle his brain a bit. He hoped he didn't get any lasting brain damage. Seeing as how getting slashed was a very likely possibility, he decided to summon his keyblade as well. No sense dying if death can be avoided by giving it his all. "Ruin's Edge. Come forth." He took hold of the summoned blade and swung with all his might at the Death Knight. "Let's see you dodge THAT!" |

Ouch! That Hurt! That Hurt! Stupid Nobody! And what's going on over there? Great, some stupid sibling quarrel. We are here just to look at this stupid little pairs of sisters having some argument, great. Hay, I seen worse in The Red Devil Mansion. This is nothing. Speaking of which. "Mirin-Sensei! Thanks." I showed my gratitude to my old mentor whom came over to help. "Kyon~ka-Chan!" She complained, "My name is MeiLing! Stop using the Japanese pronunciation!" "Sorry, Sensei, my Chinese really aren't good." "Oh well, at least you don't called me 'China'." She smiled as she taps my head. "Now, who is the idiot that was bully my precious student?" She demanded as she stands in front of me, protecting me. "I am the Gate Keeper of The Red Devil Mansion, you know." As she releases her Danmaku "Flower Sign 'Gorgeous Sweet Flower'!" |

Katerine holstered her Blaygun. So it had to come down to that. She manifested 'Honor' in her other hand, and formed her keyblade/poleaxe. She pulled the two holding handles apart, the somewhat intelligent blade lengthening to a size of an actual poleaxe. She trained...not that greatly with the poleaxe. What she had training on was with improvised weapons from MCMAP. She stepped towards the group of knights. She was ready. In that regard, she ran forward, ready to swing forth to attack or swing forth to parry. |

It managed to parry her blows rather easily, but Kazuna was glad it did, making it hold still would make the follow up a whole lot easier: with the Dark Knight held in place, Kazuna called forth her second keyblade...which had been summoned above the two combatants! It was an exact copy of the Brave Blade, only the keychain was a King rather than an ace. Regardless, the third blade dropped down from above, aiming to pierce right through the Knight's head! She was pulling out every trick she had, well, without resorting to using her cards, anyway. This was just a super grunt and they had bigger threats, she had to be conservative with her AP...she needed to have every bit of strength she had for the trials to come. |

Duo's attempt to cleave the Nobody by pulling on it as he kicked off from its chest was pretty clever. However, he wasn't the only one who saw what that could do. The Nobody grasped the scythe's handle, arresting the pull even as the beam blade just barely dug into the armor from behind. It had a surprisingly strong grip, keeping the scythe from doing its work with just one hand as he swung the armored man into a nearby pillar! Seth again made a very reckless slash with his keyblade, and it seemed that even the Dark Knight was undeterred by the appearance of the keyblade. It stepped forward inside his swinging arc again to slam the hilt of its sword into his gut. It wasn't trying to impale him, but the sheer impact would knock the wind out of a normal man! Selene's attack was met with little resistance as the Nobody simply cocked its head to the side, the orb of light barely missing him and melting some of its armor on the left shoulder and neck. But it continued undeterred, parrying the Light Claymore and keeping the attack from hitting him. However, the light did manage to dig a notch in its sword near the hit where it held on against its attack! The Nobody attacking Kyonka was... utterly confused as to what the hell this thing was as she unleashed a barrage of projectiles of some sort. If she was trying to impress it, she was failing. It simply spun its sword in front of it, deflecting most of the little shots as if it were using a shield. Some bullets got through, but only left minor dents in its armor as it continued to trudge towards the pair! Meanwhile, the three Dark Knights who reassembled had their reasons for doing so. By themselves, they were proving to be formidable, more than just mere grunts. But as a phalanx? They were even deadlier. The one Hajime was attacking locked swords with him, keeping him in place. Meanwhile, the one Kazuna was attacking with the keyblade from above simply shoved her with its sword and leapt back, the Keyblade grazing the front of its mask and its chest and leaving a large gash before it dug itself into the ground before it. Suddenly, from the side, the last Dark Knight turned its direction away from Katerine and instead attacked Kazuna with a horizontal slash from the side, while the other spun behind the other Knight to parry Katerine's blow! The three of them were coordinating with each other - one kept Hajime from going further to either attack Xaturoh or assist the other riders, while the other two covered for the other. Uncoordinated attacks at them weren't going to work very well. "... It would seem that they lack the resolve, or the skill to beat him," Xaturoh sighed as she parried yet another attack from Den-O and punched her in the head, sending her reeling back. "Gah! Shut up! If you want to see Xenmas fall, why are you helping him then!?" Den-O yelled as she staggered to her feet. "Even you must admit, Nee-san... this is what they would call the 'Midboss' battle. They MUST defeat the midboss to proceed. That's how it always works." Underneath the mask, Den-O grinned bitterly. "Wow, you really have changed. The Hotaru I knew would gag at the idea of so blatantly breaking fourth walls like that." "Hardly. I'm simply stating the truth." "Could it be that in the process of losing your heart, you've also lost your own sense of self? Or is being like me really what you desire and your body remembers it?" "Don't make me laugh, Nee-san. God forbid the day comes that I relish being like you." "I guess. Hotaru is Hotaru, after all. Even if she IS a Nobody, she is still herself." she angrily stared at Xaturoh after straightening herself. "Are you really going to go through with this?..." "Yes. You must have the resolve to fight. Even if - no, ESPECIALLY because its against the hollow shadows of those you might have once known. If you can't even do that... then you have no business being here." With that, she suddenly raised a hand, and a magical circle appeared under her. Even worse, that same magical circle covered the other knights as well! "It's time to get serious. SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO! UNHOLY AURA!" |

Stumbling back and wheezing, Seth fell to his knees. That hit was hard enough to take his breath away and there was no way he was letting himself get hit by that again. "Bastard!" He tried to get up but doing so easily was out of the question. Healing doesn't help you get to your feet after a powerful blow after all. He stood up and backed away from the Death Knight while a magic circle appeared underneath it. Catching his breath, Seth asked, "What does that do? I wonder. Guess that means you're serious now. Time for me to get serious too. No more flashy showing off. This time I'm putting all those years of knowledge to work." He wasn't sure if the Death Knight had any ranged attacks, so he kept on his guard just in case. Seeing as how it seemed to have no fear and didn't flinch no matter what attack came its way he would have to rely on something other than surprise counter-attacks. He kept a reasonable distance away from it so as to be prepared for anything it could do. If it came at him, he'd be ready, at least he hoped. So far the battle wasn't in his favor at all. As such, the first order of business would be to either immobilize his foe or neutralize his weapon. He'd have to go for either the legs or the arms and there was no way that was going to be easy. He'd have to use the Death Knight's momentum against it and attack when it would at least have a hard time counter-attacking. "This fight is interesting, but don't expect me to allow myself to be hit again. I'm through fighting stupid. This time it's on!" He sheathed his longsword and brought his shield from his back. His keyblade would have to be his primary weapon in this fight. He didn't like the look of that magic circle and he was sure that his enemy was stronger now. This would be a matter of time. The slower he was at defeating the Death Knight, the greater his chance of dying here was. "And I'm not dying here. Not when there's still a chance to win." |

Duo hadn't expected the Knight to have time to stop the attack, and got went straight through a stone pillar for it. Granted the attack did little more than jar him a bit, but it did manage to further irritate Duo. This stupid thing was getting in his way and really wasn't even worth his time. However, he wasn't going to get anywhere until this thing was in pieces. That in mind, he thought up a knew idea. Once he passed through the column, he got his feet back down onto the floor, still gripping the scythe held by the Knight. In a flurry of movement, he swung his leg around and locked it around the Nobody's own leg. He heaved his leg back, trying to knock the Knight onto his back and shoving the blade of the scythe through its back. But Duo wasn't leaving it to that one chance. He summoned his Keyblade, Death's Judgement, thrusting it forward to impale the thing, leaving it with the choice of being run through from the front, or sliced in two from the back. Unless the thing knew how to teleport, it didn't have much of a chance. Yet Duo still wasn't done. This thing had been far too much trouble for him to let it off with just this. As he attacked, he unlocked the heavy gatling cannons in his shoulders and the lighter machine guns in his helmet, and poured bullets into the monster from point blank range. He didn't pay attention to anything other than thoroughly annihilating his enemy. He was determined to see this thing die, and when the God of Death wanted someone dead, they died. |

For all that cumbersome-looking armor the Dark Knights were decked out in, they could certainly move their bodies. Selene's light blast missed as the Nobody mook merely cocked his head to the side, allowing the projectile to miss - the only damage it did was to graze part of its left shoulder and neck, melting the armor. By now the Briton was already following up on her Valkyrie's assault as she retrieved her Keyblade. Things didn't seem all that hopeless for Selene however, as she swore she could see the Radiant Valkyrie's light-infused claymore actually leave a notch on the Dark Knight's sword where it had parried the shield maiden's strike. I say, you're wasting my time. Selene thought as she looked past the Dark Knight at where Xaturoh and Den-O were still engaged in battle. "Cor blimey! This can't be good!" The Briton shook her head as Xaturoh used her Unholy Aura. A magical circle appeared around the Nobody, with similar circles appearing around the Dark Knights as well. As far as her knowledge in magic went, she figured that it was some sort of buff. Selene raised her other hand as she cast Oath of the Sword, summoning forth a sword of light to wield together with her Keyblade, flourishing the two swords around a bit before entering into a ready stance. The Radiant Valkyrie released one of her hands from her claymore, unsheathing her secondary weapon - a broadsword - also switching to a dual-wielding style along with her mistress. Flourishing her twin swords about, the Valkyrie advanced towards the Dark Knight on fleet-footed strides, before suddenly leaping towards a nearby wall, jumping off it and performing a half-spin in midair to slash at the Nobody with both blades from his right flank; almost synchronously Selene advanced from the left flank, slashing horizontally at the Dark Knight with her sword of light while keeping her Keyblade close to her body in readiness to parry any possible counterattacks! |

Oh no! "Mirin-Sensei! The monster blocked your attack! What should we do." "Oh well, remembered how we always do things in Gensokyo?" was her reply, "Hop on." As she bend down. Ok, so she's going to take this to the air. I hopped onto her back, and together, we flew to the air. "Rainbow Sign 'Wind Chime of Colorful Rainbow'" She declared as a dazzling rainbow swirl of bullets rains down at our foe. Edited by Kounoko, Mar 25 2010, 11:04 PM.

Much to Hajime’s dismay, the Dark Knight was fooled by his maneuver and is again locked swords with it. It was now or never, Hajime have to transform now to make things even or he’ll take forever to finish this. With strength he didn’t realized he had in his normal human form, Hajime pushes the Dark Knight away while taking a step back and yelled, “Henshin!” And he promptly becomes the black and gold armored Agito in his Ground Form. Now with more strength on his side, Hajime charges straight at the Dark Knight again, this time with a flurry of slashes from left and right in an attempt to overwhelm the Dark Knight. And somewhere in the back of his head, a familiar pressure grew, pressing on his memory and chain of thoughts… |
