OoC: I'm sorry, but how exactly does throwing Gospel's Fang at Kinclex result in Randy being "poisoned"? For one, it's Netto's Keyblade to begin with... BiC: Netto smirks back at Kinclex as the numerous swords appear around him. Netto: I knew you'd start attacking with those sooner or later. As the swords plunge deep into Netto, he vanishes. Using the secondary ability of his Stealth-type Weather Balls, CrossD Spectrum turns invisible and incorporeal--more so than he had been while Shadow was active. Even if the swords were as sharp as they appeared, it would make no difference against THIS defense, as they still weren't precise. Or so he thought. Apparently Kinclex had some sort of lock-on capabilities, which was what allowed him to summon the swords so close to him on each side. Letting up a surprised yelp, Netto leaps backwards through some of the blades, tingling with...electricity? Raising an invisible eyebrow, he ponders the meaning of this. As he does so, Kinclex dashes past, and the invisible Netto swipes at him with his equally invisible Oath Sword. He then focuses Light energy into the space between his hands. Netto: Let's see how you like a Light Weather Ball! The Oath of the Wand takes form in Netto's hands, perfectly visible despite Netto not being, and he pitches it just OVER Kinclex's head, so it comes down just behind him. Meanwhile, Randy glances up at the Gargoyles, who are now standing by. With a snap of the fingers, a pair of Loudmouths appear, which play a healing melody to restore the Gargoyles' strength. Refreshed and ready for action, the two Gargoyles take to the sky and attempt to locate Noxiquidem, that they might, as suggested, steal her Lucavi spirit...thingy...and prevent her from transforming. Randy then turns back toward Kinclex, stomping his foot on the ground and summoning another set of Tendrils of Darkness, this time aimed not directly for Kinclex, but in front of and to either side of him, covering his possible escape routes. (The path behind him is where Netto's Oath of the Wand is landing.) Randy: You're right. We're Jacks of all trades, masters of none... Netto: ...but that's often far better than a master of one. As you shall soon see. It's right about then that Netto's Drive Form runs out, and Toxent returns to just being a part of him, rather than the two of them being full-out fused. This removes his Recovery Element and Poison Element effects, but does not otherwise affect him. His Stealth effect also wears off, returning him to visibility. IZUNAAAA DROP!
|
The two gargoyles soared effortlessly the World That Never Was, following the path of light Noxi's body had fallen away in. Even on a good day, finding such a small corpse in a such a huge city would be a difficult feat. As their eyes scanned the ground , a child-sized crater caught the eye of one, who signaled the other. The twin gargoyles soared downward, circling it low to get a better view of the target and confirm the body of the broken Nobody. Though they could see the lucavi stone glowing from within the open wounds of what was surely her, the body seemed...off. Approaching it cautiously, the first gargoyle considered it curiously, debating about whether or not to grab it as red sparks fired off of the body. Slowly, but carefully a single talon reached in towards the source of the light, the lucavi stone, but before it could touch it, the ground began to shake. The gargoyle backed off suddenly, a bit confused about the nature of the corpse, but quickly decided it should simply grab it and leave. As it recklessly attempted to charge and grapple the dying Nobody, the small crater suddenly expanded, red sparks firing across the ground like deadly discharge. The ground sagged, cracking in a massive radius and the second gargoyle quickly took flight. The first one laid its talons on the light-filled Nobody, but seemed unable to lift her up. The earthquake stopped as the cracked ground sagged heavily, then collapsed completely. The section of the city fell through, swallowing the gargoyle whole, unable to fly away as chunks of stone debris pummeled it on the way down. The second one flew around the open crater, careful not to get too close. Inside the hole was pitch black and no light nor sound seemed to penetrate it. Unsure of what to do, it landed near the edge of the collapsed maw, staring down into it in a futile attempt to spot the bottom. When a light began to form inside it. The light was much different from the lucavi stone before, it was more focused and circular. It was more like...an eye. The red eye suddenly began to float through the darkness of the crater, upwards towards the gargoyle. It merely stood there, physically unable to look away as the large glowing sphere came closer and closer. It wasn't until the eye sat perched at the apex of the crater's edge, still concealed in darkness that the gargoyle reacted. Panicking, it took to the air and dive bombed the mysterious eye with no regard for its own safety. The red eye simply watched, unmoving, unblinking as it charged. The gargoyle dove into the darkness and simply disappeared. The eye made a guttural, mechanical series of clicks and whirring and the eye vanished back into the crater. "It is not yet time for us." The deep voice said, it's dark, vibrating tone resonating in the vastness of the crater in which it sat. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)

"Such a pain, but I'll live through it. Even though you have a heart now, why can't you use a Keyblade like me? Of course, I don't have a heart either, yet I have a Keyblade. Do you guys happen to have a library on Keyblades by any chance?" Kyra muttered, her voice returning back to normal as the glaives dug in, infecting her body and 'draining' the griega power from her body. "Tch....I still have absolutely no idea where you got that stupid stone from in the first place." Since her Griega form vanished, the cut wounds remained on her body, yet she remained calm and collected. No doubt the rage was wearing off now, as was the eternal hunger as the Beast. Both mallets vanished with a wave of her hands, allowing the glaives to miss them as if passing through mist. "Really....you altered clones of humans are truly sad." Kyra said, filled with grimness in her voice as she simply sprinted to the right once she did the basic calculations and angles projections, then applied force to her legs to get out of the way of the lightning arc, then performing a bit of ducking and rolling before getting back to her feet. Apparently, due to the lack of bulk, her speed was back to it's original, light pace. "Of course, I can't really attack you just yet since I'm not sure what side effects the poison might have added, like double vision or vertigo drunkenness. I'll just locate something to smash you with instead, like a pillar or a sofa." With that, she began searching the area for something blunt and heavy to bash Kinclex's brains in, completely ignoring him. Why should she give a Nobody any attention at all if he is weak enough to use poison on her? And why poison when she doesn't have blood vessels? Chizu's eyes narrowed as Kinclex faced her with the glaives. She bent her knees, preparing to take off in any direction once they started coming at her. However, they didn't. Instead, they began to spin. Chizu's eyes widened as they formed the huge beam of lightning, the lightning breaking into five pieces and heading towards her. She quickly jumped back, seeming to disappear from where she was and reappearing a few feet behind where the lightning converged. Even from this distance, the force of the lightning hitting each other sent her flying back, her arm over her face to protect it from the superheated air. She landed in a crouched position, her hand touching the ground. Chizu pushed herself up, her eyes wide as she turned to Nickle. Was he seriously telling her to...use the wind to strip Kinclex? There were so many things wrong with that, she just didn't know where to begin. "You've got to be crazy!" she shouted. Still, Nickle had asked her to trust him, and Nickle was the one that knew Kinclex the most. She took a deep breath, and before she could question her sanity, extended her hands, palms out towards Kinclex. "Here come the kamaitachi," she said. The wind around Kinclex would suddenly lunge inward, becoming a tearing, swirling mass of air. The air contained several small blades, enough to cut at the fabric of his clothes repeatedly and tear them to bits. If they touched skin, the cuts would be shallow, but they would sting and there would be many of them. |

Meteor On Ready?

"Still not working!" Taiga yelled over the roar of her dual-wielded weaponry, watching as Kinclex charged right through her blasts, deflecting them with a pair of spinning glaives. However, rather than wait for him to get closer and strike, she saw the glaives tilt and took to the sky with a mighty jump. The incoming glaives ate empty air, and his lightning also arced uselessly through space. Aside from those strikes he seemed not to care about her, continuing his dash. She'd just been...ignored? "Taiga! Continue attacking, we've gotta keep pressure on him!" said the Ryuujik Buster, much to Taiga's annoyance. "I know that! I'm doing it!" she retorted, once more taking aim at the Lucavi, now from behind. "Everyone, please try keep him pinned! Attack from all sides, make sure he doesn't move!" yelled Nickle from below, catching both their ears in the process. Taiga merely grinned, hitting the button atop her belt with the thumb of her right hand, as it was much easier to hold the ZeroGasher and manipulate objects than it was with the Ryuujik Buster. [FULL CHARGE] Removing the Zeronos Card, she slipped it into the fingers of her left hand, then pressed the other end against the trigger guard of the ZeroGasher, emptying the card's charge into the familiar weapon. That finished, the card was retrieved and placed back in the belt... where she hit the button one more time. "And one for the road!" [FULL CHARGE] This time, she kept the card in her right hand and pushed it into the top of the Ryuujik Buster, filling the new weapon with crackling energy. "Fortunately for that guy, we just happen to be able..." Taiga began to say, taking aim so that the Ryuujik Buster would fire ahead of Kinclex's path, the ZeroGasher would fire behind him (in case he tried to stop or jump back), and her KeyBlades would swoop in from both sides. Granted, the blades were weaker... but the goal was to slow or stop Kinclex in his tracks! "...to strike from all sides!" Ryuuji's voice finished. At that moment, Taiga pulled both triggers and let her weapons loose. The ZeroGasher released a bolt of energy similar to Vega's, while the Ryuujik Buster's fully charged blast almost seemed like a golden dragon roaring towards its prey. Two charges at once. If this mysterious card was anything like the others, they only had one of those left. She just had to hope that the guy down below knew what he was doing. |

Netto would soon find, that the more one attacked Kinclex, the more his powers were slowly increasing. By turning invisible and attacking in such a manner, he'd find that Kinclex's powers were not decreasing as he was taking more damage. In fact they were increasing. Be this due to the fact that his lucavi stone was still waking up or due to a failsafe device cetain individuals have when they're low on health could not truely be said, but the problem was that something composed of light, wasn't easily made invisible. As Netto swipes at Kinclex with it, the sword would shatter against an electrical barrier, likewise with the weatherball attack. Kinclex did not bother with the Gargoyles that were sent after Noxi. Randy and Netto truely had no idea who they were dealing with. But then again that wasn't surprising. As his tendrils of darkness came up, they were destroyed as easily as the first, "No. A Jack of All Trades is weak through and through." Kinclex turned away from Netto and Randy, it's not like he could harm them, but what was the point when they wouldn't be able to harm him anyway while thinking of other irrelevant things like going after Noxiquidem. It was at that point that Kinclex threw his glaive up into the air and created another 11 just like it. The total of 12 began firing blasts of lighting at Netto and Randy, zipping around rapidly at random points before firing blasts of lightning. Kinclex then turned to the rest of the group, having heard Nickle's shout. Had he figured it out? No, impossible, even with all the cuts his form was still concealed. Besides the way he shouted and Chizu would clearly put her off, he knew the girl as the thought he did. However, Kinclex was wrong. As the first windblade tore a tiny slit in the fabirc of his mask's cheek, he realised that he was about to be exposed. He couldn't allow that. It seemed the attack he'd performed on Kyra had been effective, but that was the least of his worries as he tried to get away from Chizu's wind blades. Unfortunately he had Taiga busy releasing he whole arsenal upon him, keeping him from moving less he have a hole blown through his clothes. The wind blades were tearing through more layers of clothes now, they were in tatters. Kinclex could hardly counter. However, it was then he saw the ground around him begin to glow. "NO!" he shouted, knowing the pillar would burn the clothes away in an instant. As Kinclex was engulfed by the flames, Nickle looked on, "Come on, show yourself..." |

As predicted, their attack completely missed. However, it had its intended effect--Kinclex stood still to avoid the weapons, opening himself up to Chizu's wind-blades and Rozanny's ring of fire. It was upon seeing the pillar of flame appear and hearing Kinclex's howl that Taiga decided it was time. This time, she would aim to hit, to aim to finish it. As much as she'd like to believe that more cards existed, she had a feeling this card was her last one. Her real last one this time, and that once it was used up it'd be all over for her as a warrior here. She'd be turned back into that girl again, the one who was so effortlessly brushed aside by the forces of evil she was trying to stop. "Hey... Ryuuji," said Taiga as she stood, watching the flames engulf Kinclex. "What is it?" came Ryuuji's reply from the weapon in her left hand. "Using this much power now... we won't be able to continue, you know." As the frenzy died down, she started to realize the truth--the Lucavi she was fighting was not some final boss in a video game. He was one of many. If he was defeated, there were more above him. Even if they defeated him here and now, it wouldn't restore the balance of the universe. Yet, they were already on their final trump card. Once it was expended, they'd have no choice but to drop out and merely watch from the sidelines as those stronger beings moved forward. "I know that. But... I still want to try." Still, the Ryuujik Buster said nothing. So, getting no response and feeling the time was right, Taiga took a deep breath and tossed aside the ZeroGasher. "All right then, enough of that crap! Let's finish this, once and for all this time!" [FULL CHARGE] Click. She pulled the trigger, this time firing the Ryuujik Buster right at Kinclex's stationary form within the pillar of fire. Even as the blast left her gun, the card began to fizzle out... |

[OOC: lol time warp. I'll have to account for the hits that she took for posting so slow D:] Nayuki raised her arms to block the incoming orbs, but in this form she wasn't very well protected from the resulting shock. She ended up stumbling and rolling away as a result from the impact. But she had to keep this form. It was the only way she could try to ascertain the Nobody's weakness, or at least allow her to aim for it. It was lucky for her that Taiga, Chizu, Roz and Nickle were keeping Kinclex busy and tearing at his robe... "!" That's when she realized it at probably the same time Nickle did. It was a vessel, a form of containment! It wasn't just protecting whatever was underneath from damage... it was keeping it from leaking out! "It looks like they realized it too," Kivat muttered as Nayuki placed the Bashaa Magnum between his fangs to charge it with energy. "Yeah. Let's help blow him to pieces then!" Nayuki once more formed two more Light Orbs to reload the ones she used earlier and pointed the now fully charged Bashaa Magnum at the pillar of fire. Her two keyblades also aimed themselves at him, and they was also some light energy forming on their tips. She wasn't going to give him a chance to retaliate - as soon as the fire was dispelled and Kinclex's robe was burnt away to expose what was underneath, she would fire the orbs at him as well as the light from the keyblades and her Bashaa Magnum in one full burst! |

The wind tore through the fabric like a weed whacker, strips of cloth falling to the floor. After the first initial pushes from Chizu, it seemed to take on a life of its own. All she really had to do to keep it up was to keep the cycle going. It wasn't a difficult technique, just one she never really used all that much because it didn't have too many applications. She had never once thought she would use it for this. Best not to think about it too much. She had been a little skeptical in the beginning, but it looked like Nickle's idea was actually working, if Kinclex's panic was anything to go by. Rozanny's flames engulfed him, and Chizu didn't waste any time. The wind that was surrounding him quickly stopped as Chizu gathered the wind towards her, using the increased power and control given to her by her Drive Form. She clenched her teeth together as it surrounded her, twisting around her outstretched arms like a serpent. But not quite a serpent. A blast of wind suddenly shot out from her arms towards the pillar of fire that Kinclex was in. For a moment, as the wind rushed towards him, the outline of an Oriental dragon was visible in it, it's mouth open as it rushed towards him. "Let's end this!" she said. "All systems clear....all mainframes clear.....all allegories active.....antivirus software still going.....weapons still functioning.....mass stabilized....other than Beast-Out, I seem to be functioning normally." Kyra sighed after a few seconds, moving through thousands uon thousands of files and filders that made up her body. As she thought, it was a rather weak poison next to Toxent's, yet it didn't fully touch her own 'poison'. If that would have happened....everyone within 50 miles would die because of her. No. She had faith in her master's vaccine, there is no way that Nobody's poison would transform her back into that....that MONSTER! The others have done their part, now it was time for her to do hers. "Oath of the Sword." She whispered, WildWind forming in her hand as the three sickle weasels on each end of the keyblade sniggered evilly. Each of them were ready to carve into flesh and bone, forming in a shine of light into the bulky Horse-and-Rider Slaying sword. 'Let's hope this can pierce through.' She thought, now running straight-on towards Kinclex with the long sword acting as a jousting lance. The target was to impale Kinclex's oddly shaped head awhile he was stuck in the fire pillar, since she was certain that the rest of his body was remodified to handle Light attacks. "Strike THRU!" |

Netto grins wickedly as Kinclex releases his lightning swords. Netto: If we're "weak," then you must be "pitiful." I've figured you out, Kinclex! Gospel's Fang appears in Netto's hand and expands to form Gospel's full head--Netto's version of Oath of the Shield. He pulls the massive beast's head into the way of bolt after bolt of lightning, blocking the majority of the bolts from hitting him. Netto: Your attacks have been getting stronger and stronger. This isn't because your powers are "awakening," nor is it a desperation measure due to getting low on health. Your attacks are getting stronger...as your outfit is sliced open! *dramatic finger-point* Randy summons his own Oath Shield as well, which manifests as a thin barrier around him with a small, thick section that darts around, automatically getting between Randy and any given lightning bolt. This blocks out 90% of the attacks aimed at Randy, with most of those that do get through being launched at or incredibly close to the same time as lightning bolts are launched from the opposite side. It would appear this barrier can block consecutive attacks with ease, but can't properly handle simultaneous or area-of-effect attacks. Randy: Your outfit is more than just a fancy costume, isn't it? Yes, I do believe I caught sight of red lightning from somewhere within those robes. "Poison" my ass! If I'm not mistaken, your body in this form is that red lightning, and your outfit served to contain your powers and prevent you from completely draining yourself! *dramatic finger-point* Darkness flows across the ground and rises up into the form of a Pink Concerto. Netto: All we need do now is drain away your last remaining energy... The Pink Concerto releases a toxic cloud some distance away, which would slowly drain the energy of anything within. An Emerald Blues is then summoned within the toxic cloud, staying there for a while. Randy: ...and that's all too easy. As the Emerald Blues runs low on health, a cyclone forms around it, drawing in the cloud of noxious gas. It then performs a quick and sudden dash, dragging the energy-draining cloud along behind it. Even if Kinclex were to strike the Emerald Blues at this point, it would be too late--inertia would carry the toxic cloud over to him anyway. In case Kinclex DOESN'T kill the Emerald Blues, one of the Loudmouths plays a healing note to bring it back above critical health, causing the cyclone to disperse and allowing the Emerald Blues to fly away from Kinclex, leaving the cloud behind. Netto: As a being made of lightning, trying to punch and kick you would be useless. Even a Keyblade wouldn't do much. Randy: But let's see how you react to non-physical damage! Yet again, Tendrils of Darkness rise up around Kinclex and attempt to ensnare him. However, this time, Randy not only expects Kinclex to destroy them, he WANTS him to. After all, the more energy he expends defending, the faster he'll run out. Meanwhile, Spectrum uses an Instant Messenger to communicate silently with Kyra and SH, PET-to-PET. He also speaks very quietly directly into his NetOps' ears. Spectrum: Guys...I hate to break this to you, but Noxi's not giving up her stone. The Gargoyles I sent to fetch it? They're both dead now. I suspect she's already activated it, and is just taking her time returning for some reason. Netto's custom: 6/8 Netto's chips: Shadow, Mjöllnir P.A. Kinclex was still shouting out in pain as the flames engulfed him and as Taiga fired her Ryuujik Buster, Chizu her wind dragon and Nayuki did likewise with her keyblades and Bashaa magnum, it could be seen hitting Kinclex dead on and blowing the pillar of flames away with a large part of his body in the process. Or so it seemed at any rate. With the fire blown away, everyone could see what had become of Kinclex. Before them, stood an elemental being, a being comprised of only red lightning, with two large, white, steaming eyes. His body had seemed to reforme effortlessly from the onslaught of attacks. It was then as Kyra came towards him, Kinclex seemed to simply phase through her attack to his head and in the process, beginning to move through her. One could only image how that might affect someone, having so much concentrated voltage running through them. It was then that Netto came rushing towards him, "You've figured out nothing you arrogant prick." As soon as Netto summoned the Pink Concerto, he'd witness it exploding the moment he did, with a flash of red lightning fizzling out from the center, the same happened to the Emerald Blues and the Loudmouths. Kinclex was able to cause the very electrons in the air to become weapons now. They could destroy heartless easily and the toxic gas seemed to be no effect to him. And yet again, the tendrils of darkness were destroyed, but Kinclex showed no sign of faltering. "Let me explain the situation to you," he said addressing Netto, "The cloths were acting a restrictor, but not to keep my powers concealed or contained, but to keep the Lucavi demon's essence in check, so that I might revert back to my original form." Kinclex swept an elemental hand out, "However, now that you lot have given me nothing to go back to, I'm stuck like this. A Storm Devil. I can't run out of power when I am power." Kinclex knew what this meant though. He could beat them all in an instant, but it would end his life in the process. And even so, he didn't want, to recieve his heart...not like this... So he'd take them all down with him! The air in the area began to turn red, before being accompanied by a blue light. A loud thundercrack was heard as Nickle transformed into his storm king form. Without a word, Nickle fired himself as a large lightning bolt towards Kinclex. Red and blue lightning collided, and Nickle's elemental body formed a sphere around Kinclex. Kinclex roared, trying his best to break free, his fist slamming against the barrier of blue lightning. However, he knew it was futile. His Somebody, had used this form far more times than he had and even now, he could feel him sapping both his power and his life back into himself. What killed him more, was that due to his heart already being inside Nickle, his body was willing to return to it, even against how the Lucavi demon that was now a part of him struggled against it. Kinclex kept slamming against Nickle's sphere body, before slowly slipping down to the bottom on it, the last of his power fading. With his last breath, he spoke his final words, "I'm sorry, Imoto-chan. I couldn't, keep my promise." And then faded to nothing, the last of his power vanishing into Nickle's storm king sphere, which was now a dark purple in comparison to its usual blue. As Kinclex vanished, Nickle reverted back to his human form, clutching his heart and gasping for breath, blood falling from his mouth as he did so. Kinclex...Kinclex was gone...the Lucavi demon as well. He could feel their essences vanish. But the power he'd absorbed from them as they did, was phenominal, it was overwhelming him. He coughed more, now covering his mouth with his free hand as blood oozed through the fingers. He was gone...at the end of it all after so much...Kinclex was gone. There was no other will inside of him, no lingering emotions, nothing but sheer raw power that was currently ripping Nickle apart inside. |

Netto snorts as Kinclex is absorbed wholly into Nickle. Netto: I was close enough. You were, in fact, a being of energy, and your energy was, in fact, finite. I may not have gotten the details right, but now your Somebody has absorbed you, whether you like it or not. It's difficult enough for me to willfully separate from Toxent. Kinclex...you won't be returning. Netto splits off from CrossD Spectrum, as his CrossD Fusion is going to run out before too long anyway, and the sooner he splits, the sooner his ability to fuse will refresh. Randy: This "weakling" has taken less damage than anyone else here, especially you Nobodies. Randy turns to the sky and increases the volume of his voice. Randy: Noxiquidem! I know you're still out there! Kinclex is gone! If you wish to go on living, I urge you NOT to hinder us further! If you haven't entered Lucavi demon form yet, don't! If you have, but can still return to your previous state, do so! Leave us be, and we'll do the same in return! If you do not... His voice lowers to a more normal tone. Randy: ...well, we shall see. Fiery Team Killer Yanderoz
|
Roz's fire cancelled out, her body slumping to the floor, she could feel emotion surrounding her.. as her eyes stared at the flames doing their work on Kinclex.. I am sorry!.. I love you.. she thought.. that was when his real form appeared.. Roz could only watch as Nickle transformed into his Storm King form and enclose Kinclex in a sphere... Roz could only watch in despair as he was drained.. using her good hand she reached out weakly to him.. only to break down in tears because it was finally over... "Go..od...bye" her broken words as her brody started to get heavy and pass out.. |
