This was certainly embarrassing. There were a few times in his life that he wondered why he did the things he did and this was certainly one of them. He was sitting in a police station in the middle of the city. His hands were cuffed behind his back and he was all alone. He had really fucked up this time. He was supposed to get this small item from a business in the middle of downtown, and when he though he was in the clear, out of nowhere the cops showed up and caught him. It wasn’t like him to steal since that was certainly not in his resume, but he figured that if he wanted to get good at the whole being bad thing, he should probably start learning some new skills. Stealing was obviously not his forte. He stood there as they slowly went through some paperwork. There were trying to deduce where he had hid the item that he stole, for they couldn’t find it, and they weren’t about to get it out of Danny. He just looked to the side whenever they decided to talk to him, but he didn’t move, and he certainly didn’t say anything. He was ready for this whole multiverse thing to get over and done with. Having to jump from world to world made it hard since it was impossible to get good at hiding everywhere. That’s a skill you need to learn…how to hid better, idiot! Finally the cop stood over him trying to show who was the more dominant male. Danny hated dominant male characters. He worked for one, and so all the other ones just seemed like idiots to him. No one was a scary to him as Eiji was. The man had killed him, and if that wasn’t reason to fear the guy then Danny didn’t know what was. When he finally started to look down at Danny, the young man raised his head and quickly as he could and caught the cop right under the chin. He heard a good crack as teeth met teeth and jaw slipped out of place. Danny winced a great deal. He had never done anything like that before, and he wasn’t really ready for the impact. As soon as he had done this the cop toppled back in pain and Danny slowly raised from his chair. He walked over to the door and tried to open it, but his hands were still behind his back. When he heard the cop going for his gun Danny turned around and opened the door from his backside. Slipping out he tried to be as discrete as possible. Thankfully the hall wasn’t occupied. Going into the bathroom he kneeled down and slipped the cuffs from behind him to in front of him. This would at least make it a little easier to move around. Being as cautious as he could he moved out of the station. Thankfully it wasn’t hard. Most of the cops were so busy in their offices that they didn’t even notice him. When he exited he quickly moved to the right, but there was no doubt that a man with handcuffs around his wrists wasn’t suspicious looking in the least. |

David flashed here in a random light, his latest experiment gone wrong. His face was all covered in soot, his hair was smoldering, and he had two wires soldered together that he was holding in his hands. A small robot hopped out of his front pocket and onto his shoulder. "Was that supposed to happen? I know I was created by accident, but this seems like it was what you were going for." David shot a look at the sarcastic bot, then wiped his face off with a rag he had in his back pocket. "Now, what do you think, smart one? Do you think if I had used my powers, I would still be conscious? I was simply trying to jerry-rig that transporter to send me back to Hyakuji, not to some new world all together." With that, David simply started to walk around, listening to the EM waves for any clue as to where he might be. "Hm, I'm picking up some police signals of a runaway thief. Think I should go after him Shot?" The robot answered his question by transforming into a car and driving off into his shirt pocket. With that, David went running around a corner, straight into the thief. Edited by hub12, Mar 2 2010, 09:54 PM.

It was no doubt a surprise when Danny rounded a corner and someone bumped right into him. At first he was a little pissed off, for an otherwise good getaway it was marred by the fact that he ran into someone. Sure he was suspicious looking, but he didn’t count that as part of his getaway. He looked at the person that bumped into him. He didn’t really know him, but that was to be expected. This was a fairly big city. “Hey,” he said raising both hands, since they were handcuffed together, “watch where you’re going next time. You could have hurt yourself.” Old habits died hard. Even though he was technically an evil bastard now, he still cared about the general well being of others. This would no doubt lead to his downside. First it was his ego, and now it was going to be his potential kindness. That was when he noticed that his hands were cuffed, and now they were in complete view of everyone else. He lowered his hands slowly and began to worry about whether or not this kid would do anything about it. “So, um. What’s it going to take for you to keep quiet about these little things around my wrists kid? I must admit that I don’t like being caught, and you have caught red handed. You seem like a fairly logical person. What’s it worth to not scream for the pokey?” Danny gave a sly smile. If worse came to worse he could just create a quick flash bang and run quick. But he didn’t really want to do that. He needed to see if he could weasel his way out of this, and if he could do that he could prove that maybe he could be bad. Did he want to prove it? No not really, but if he had to at least he could say that he could. “So come on kid. You going to tell the world about this, or are you going to help a poor guy out?” |

David was just shaking off his headache when he heard the man talk "Well, that all depends on why you have those shackles on. Where I'm from, you would have had a Glock pointed at your temple faster than a pikachu on AMP." David pulled his Swiss Army Key out from under his shirt, and took both it and it's chain off of his neck. He pressed a button on it and a small set of tweezers popped out. "Don't move or I have my robot electrocute the crap out of you." As if on cue, Hotshot jumped out of his normal abode in David's pocket, and landed squarely on Danny's head. "I don't think you should trust this guy man. He's got some bad vibes around him." |

Danny gave the kid a quick smile. There was no doubt that he was pretty bold to do what he was doing, and in certain circumstances he considered what the boy was doing to be smart. Danny thought him dumb though. He should have just said what it would have taken so that this whole thing could be gotten finished up and Danny could be on his way, but that wasn’t going to happen. He was obviously a good guy like Danny was once. He had to know that what he was doing was beneficial. “Listen. I stole something okay. I’m not too proud of it, but when you are in the circumstances that I’m in, you tend to do what you have to do. I’m not going to move, I’m not going to do anything, but if you are going to make a move get this stupid robot off my head so that I can make a better escape. I think I hear the cops coming, and I’m not interested in getting caught again. Danny didn’t really like being touched, even if it was by a talking robot that sits on peoples head, and he didn’t like being told that he would be electrocuted. He didn’t care. He had felt worse than electrocution. “And I don’t care about your silly electrocution kid, I’ve been killed before and I can tell you that it’s worse than whatever you pesky little robot can do.” Danny was starting to grow impatient as he heard the sound of police sirens and walkie-talkies starting to get closer. He was stuck though. The boy had him, for he really didn’t want electrocution to take place, but at the same time there was nothing else he could do. “Your move kid.” |

David had finished with the lock picking. He pocketed the cuffs and pocketed Hotshot as well. "Look, I know that this is going against my better judgment in this position, but I'm going to have you come with me. Stay on my tail. If I'm right, there should be a secret entrance to an old war base right around here." David then took off through some trees nearby, and then hit a water fountain. "I hope you know what you are doing man." David exchanged a sober nod, "You and me both." Instantly, a staircase appeared below them, and they descended. After reaching the bottom, the staircase disappeared and they were left in a small chamber with a statue of a small bald man laughing hysterically. David swallowed what he had now realized was true. "Okay, I'm going to make this simple. From what I can gather, worlds have split wide open and reconnected in a mish-mosh fashion. This is the universe of a society integrated with technology from some 23rd century time period." Hotshot got out of the teen's pocket and drove around, returning with some helpful information."Well, you were right, this is an old war bunker. We should be safe here if you trust this guy." More than a Ghost on a Shipwreck

It was time for Danny to start running and he did just that, and he smiled all the way while following the kid. The boy seemed to know the area pretty well since there was a bunker right where he thought there was. He was a smart kid, but that didn’t mean that Danny felt any sympathy for what he was going to ultimately have to do. He just hoped that a smart kid didn’t mean an mind reading kid because sometimes the two of those went hand in hand around here. The truth was that not only was Danny going to use the boy for the lock pick, which the boy did perfectly. He knew that the boy couldn’t resist helping a person out. The sad thing is, that if had been about five years or so before Danny would have done the same thing, but this wasn’t the same Danny from five years ago. There was still the problem with the chip. He had to somehow get the dummy version into the kid’s pocket and then frame him for the heist. This was going to be hard, but he thought of a good way to do it. The whole reason this started was because he forgot to put the dummy chip into the spot that the real chip was located. If he had remembered to do that then maybe all of this could have been avoided, but that was not the case. He figured that if they found either chip then he would be in deep shit, and so he hid them somewhere, but the problem was he would have to get them out without the kid seeing, and that could be fairly hard. Or would it? There was a small hole in the seam of Danny’s shirt. It was on the back, and the chips were just small enough to fit inside. He began to fiddle with the whole, looking a little bashful while doing it, but it was the only way he could get to the dummy chip. He had put it in second so he knew that it would be the first one he would be able to get to. When he got it out it was time to do some acting, and thankfully he had taken a few acting classes in his day. He fell to his knees right in front of David. He then wrapped his arms around the kids waist and almost started to cry. “Thank you so much for bringing me here. I would have been in some serious trouble if they had found me out. I don’t know how I can thank you,” cue looking up at the boy with his eyes sort of red. It was pathetic but he hoped that it worked. As he wrapped his arms around David’s waist though he put the chip into the boys pocket. He had worked on his sleight of hand, so it would probably take the kid a great deal to notice whether or not he did it. He hoped the boy didn’t. After a few more acts of his little groveling routine he stood up and wiped his ‘teary’ eyes. He looked around the room. “How did you know about this place, kid? Oh, and what’s your name anyway. I feel bad calling my hero a kid all the time.” OOC: It is your call if he figures out about the chip, but trust me Danny was convincing^^. Your call though! |

David was caught slightly off guard by this, but he knew a setup when he saw one. "Okay, get off of me, now!" David then planted his foot squarely in Danny's stomach, knocking him backwards. "Look, the only reason I saved you is because I thought you were armed. Hotshot assured me you weren't. Secondly, I know about the chip you just slid into my pocket." David was tossing the chip around in his hand before crushing it. "I'm a technopath you dumb ass. How else would I find a MILITARY BUNKER without sensing the computers around here?" David took out his Swiss Army Key, which turned into a Kingdom Key upon being taken off of his neck. "Now, you can turn yourself in, or I can drag you in unconscious. Your choice." |

This all could have couldn’t have worked better. Danny was certainly taken off guard by the kick to his stomach, which he would admit hurt a little bit, but it barely even took the wind out of him. He was a little bit angry that the only reason the boy saved him was because he thought he was armed. He thought that he was worth saving, but apparently not. And then he broke the chip. That was also going to be fairly useful. Danny had an alibi now. He didn’t do anything to the chip, David did. Even if it was a dummy chip it looked enough like Danny put his hands up and just smiled. He didn’t doubt that the boy could probably do some damage to him, but he didn’t think the boy could knock him out cold. It took a lot to do that, and there was no doubt that this boy didn’t have it in him. But maybe being beat up before going out to talk to the cops wasn’t such a terrible idea. “No way boss man. I’m not going out there and getting caught today. If you want me to go out there then you’re going to have to carry me out there.” Danny wasn’t going to put up much of a fight. He just needed to get hit a few times so that when he began to plea to the cops it was a little more convincing that David was really some sort of criminal mastermind. They had the wrong guy. They should be after this kid. He was the only that took the chip. He’s a technopath, he said it himself. I don’t know the first thing about computers, but he did. He took the chip and then to hid himself he broke it and threw it in that secret bunker. It was his hideout officer. I had nothing to do with it. This might actually be a good plan. “I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Your move, kid!” |

"My move indeed! Notice the computers around you. Each is mine to command, each another way to take you down. I will make SURE that you have the real chip on you when I turn you in, so don't try getting rid of it. Now, watch the master at work!" David pointed his keyblade at one of the servers. Instantly, it started to sputter, power to life, then transformed into a small mech suit, complete with net launcher capable of trapping Daniel in one shot. David climbed into the suit, and tossed his keyblade into the mech's hand. "Let's go!" He started to pilot the suit towards Daniel, but notable strain could be seen on his face. He only had an hour before he blacked out, so this battle would have to be quick. Clicking the trigger on the controls, he fired the first net at daniel, hoping it would be one-shot. |

Danny really didn’t want to do this. As far as things went he really hated getting into confrontations, and it always seemed like people were so much stronger than he was anyway. Why was it that people grew so strong yet he always grew at a slower rate? It didn’t matter right now. He had to just go with the flow and use some of the new skills that he had started to pick up for this fight. His powers might not grow that quickly, but his physical strength and aptitude certainly had. He would just have to work hard after all this was over. He had fucked up pretty bad and now it was time to try to make things a least a little right. “I really don’t want to fight…especially not giant robots. I’m not too much of a fan of that.” It didn’t seem like David cared. He would probably easily be able to take Danny out, but he couldn’t let that happen. He just needed to get damaged a little bit so that his story could check out. All he needed was that. NET! PAY ATTENTION! Danny watched the net launch towards him, but that wouldn’t be much of a problem. As soon as he saw it he just did a quick flip to the side and got out of the way. It was a large net, but then again he had a pretty long body so his flip carried him a great distance. He could have just used his powers to melt the twine, but he didn’t want to give that away yet. He just wanted to get the thing to run out of nets and not use his powers at all. It’s always better to let the other people think that they are at the upper hand. Danny quickly ran forward and jumped into the air and did a quick spin kick to where David’s head was. He noticed how strained David look and almost felt bad for him. The poor kid is putting everything into winning this. That’s sort of sad. Maybe you should let him win…no, no Danny that would be a bad idea. For now just try to knock him over and get hit in the process! |
