Adam woke up from his usual spot, he'd gone from a nice house to the basement of a nice old tavern owner. Well he at least had a bed. He got dressed, a black shirt, dark sand washed blue jeans, his converse and of course his blue jacket with the red hood. He took extra time wrapping up his demonic looking arm from his elbow to his wrist before he put a glove over his hand. Usually he'd be wearing two blue and black stripped gloves that started from his finger tips to his elbows, but unfortunately... they were left at his place in a fit of surprise by the attack on Hyakuji. Screw it... he didn't need them anyways. In fact... He took off the hoodie and replaced his black shirt with a black tank top before wrapping up the other arm and gloving it as to not to look suspicious. With his wardrobe all figured out, he the on the hoodie and headed out into the town that was always under a night's sky. He'd only been a few days, a week tops but already he missed the day light. Ah well, time to try and make some money. He grabbed small box and put it in front of him before taking off the hoodie and setting it down next to the box. A few warm ups later, and he stood in a readied stance for a martial arts form. The stance he stood in caught the attention of a few people and he soon began, leading with a few hand strikes after sliding into a back stance. Soon the growing crowd didn't matter as he slid through the movements he had practiced several times fluently with very little flaws aside from misplaced footing or hand positioning by a few inches every now and then. Hopefully the crowd would pitch in a few bucks in the box, and hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with someone who thought they could take him... As he ended his form with a loud roar of a Kihap[yell like Bruce Lee kinda thing] He had just now seen how big the crowd had gotten. A few were clapping, and a few pitched in a few bucks like he had hoped. Well at least he had some money for lunch. Adam decided to do a few more stretches and stretch kicks to limber up some more, thinking in the back of his head of how if Mike were here Adam would be rubbing it in his face how he had made money without getting an actual job. |

The Devil Pig is here!

Trystan had noticed the gathering crowd, and decided to join up with them. Where there was a crowd, there was usually something exciting or worth watching going on, and it seemed that this was no exception. Sighing to herself, Nina steeled herself to get through the crowd, shuffling in close behind Trystan. Her Master was so childlike sometimes. A noisy crowd was all it took to distract him from their current task at hand. Groceries were a must, and if they were any later, chances were that the store's "Happy Hour" would have ended. Of course, she didn't really expect him to care that much. He was one of those who took decent food for granted, and would just as likely go find and gather his own food from the wild instead of buying it from the market. As they pushed their way through, the crowd started to get more excited. it seemed as if the performance was reaching its climax. In a final burst of effort, Trystan and Nina wormed themselves through the crowd to arrive at the front. To his surprise, the one who was standing there was the one they had met in the amusement park. He had probably gotten his name during that moment in time, but he had already forgotten; he was simply very bad with names. A small smile appeared, then started to further brighten with excitement as he saw the routine which he was going through. Though it was nothing like what he was used to doing, his familiarity of the intent withing the stances and movements was obvious within his performance. Nina's brows furrowed in slight annoyance. By this point in time, it was obvious what her Master wanted to do, and she didn't approve. They would be tremendously late, and it was going to be all his fault. As she started to speak, she was interrupted by the crowd as it roared in approval of the finish. Trystan was clapping and cheering as well. From what he saw, it had been a splendid performance. But now, his blood was starting to boil with anticipation. It had been a long time since he had last seem someone perform, and seeing it now sparked within him a fierce desire to test his skills. Though it was against his Laoshi's teachings to show off his skills so blatantly, he wanted to know how he fared up against his peers from other schools. He had seen him fight before, and knew that he was a skilled fighter. Seeing the performance just now only served to increase his desire to have a match against him. As the roar started to die down, Nina tugged on Trystan's cloak, trying to get his attention. "Master, we need to get going..." "It won't take long, I promise." "...Very well." She simply gave up trying to convince him. She wasn't going to go without him, and he wasn't going to leave until he had exchanged blows with that performer. Sighing, she resigned herself to this simple fact, and waited for her Master to finish up. Holding out her hands, she took the cloak from Trystan's shoulders, folding it quickly and skillfully, before placing it neatly within the shopping basket. Clutching the basket firmly in her hands, she stood there, slightly annoyed, jostled around by the crowd, an unreadable expression on her face. Stepping forwards into the unofficial circle that had formed around the performer, Trystan saluted, left palm over right fist. "Would you be so kind as to engage this one in a few rounds?" |

He straightened up from his stretch and copied the salute and added a bit of a bow to it. "Of course, it would be an honor to spar against a fellow martial artist." He returned from his bow and pushed his arms out a bit in the formal way to break the salute. As his eyes met the person he smirked, trying not to get to excited over a familiar face, even if he had only met him a few days ago... "Oh hey, long time no see. Do mind if I stretch out some more, I wasn't nearly as limber as I needed to be when I was doing my form." He had caught a glimpse of how the guy fought back at the amusement park. So to be able to go against someone with that kind skill was a treat that Adam as a fun seeking martial artist and fighter honestly couldn't turn down. He couldn't waste anytime though, he immediately began to stretch out with leg and arm stretches followed by torso and back stretches before He dropped for a few push ups and sit ups before kicking up to his feet and bowing to his soon to be opponent. "Ready when you are." He dropped into his stance, not so much dropped though, the way the stance looked was very relaxed, he stood almost sideways, his back foot and front foot in a diagonal position while his legs were shoulder width apart and slightly bent at the knees. His hand set up looked much like a boxer's with a bit of a muay thai flare mixed with tae kwon do. Both arms were bent at the elbows in an L shape and raised slightly so that the top of the fists came to his shoulder/collarbone. To finish off the form, he raised up on his toes and repositioned his body's weight to support the stance. "By the way, Never caught your name back at that park, Mine's Adam. What's yours?" |

"Of course, it would be an honor to spar against a fellow martial artist. Oh hey, long time no see. Do mind if I stretch out some more, I wasn't nearly as limber as I needed to be when I was doing my form." Trystan pushed his arms out, returning the salute break, a small smile coming to his face. Even though they had only met briefly it seemed that this man remembered who he was. Nodding, Trystan acknowledged his request, he himself starting to limber up as well. It was nothing major this time around, as he made it a habit of limbering up properly at the start of each day; because of his body's conditioning, he more or less was at full flexibility for the rest of the day. Finishing first, Trystan stood in a relaxed manner, his feet shoulder-wide and hands crossed easily over his chest. It wasn't meant to be a haughty posture - it was simply a position that had become something of a habit. It was probably one of those mannerisms that had rubbed off on him since the Fuse had combined with him. Smiling as he saw the man get into a ready stance, Trystan tied his headband a bit tighter, securing it firmly to his head. "Ready when you are. By the way, Never caught your name back at that park, Mine's Adam. What's yours?" Hunching over somewhat, Trystan's got into his stance. It was unorthodox, to say the least. Completely open, his hands and arms were stretched to a comfortable degree, and with his palms up. It was almost as if he were slightly bent over from trying to lift a too-heavy ball. However, that was not to say that it wasn't a stance which had no utility. Though his prior training in the Ryoushou-Ryuu had tuaght him to take a stance similar to the one that Adam was taking, he had found later on that it was this stance which felt the most comfortable for him. Gathering his qi around him, Trystan readied himself for the spar. Though his qi was mostly invisible, if Adam focused enough, there would be a slight, but telltale hazy and undulating, almost mirage-like aura around him, marking the flow of his qi. A brief change in the aura around Trystan occurred as he unleashed a small wave a sakki around him. The crowd wouldn't be able to feel it unless they had prior training or had experienced combat before, but Adam should be able to feel the intent. He wasn't out to kill anyone, but it would be foolish for Adam to disregard this as a simple spar and not give it his all. There was no point in sparring without intent, after all. A glint came to his eyes as he subconsciously entered into a combative, almost meditative state of mind. "This one's name is Trystan. And please -" Without moving a hand, and only a small, indiscernable grunt, Trystan unleashed two small blasts of shouki, flattening and pulverizing the ground to his left and right into giant, human-sized, palm-shaped sunken piles of rubble and dust. The crowd backed away a little from this show of unexplained destruction. Though the crowd's prior roars had diminished into quiet murmurs, their voices were filled with even more excitement. It was always exciting to watch people perform, but matches were harder to come by, and, for most people, these were the types of martial events which excited them the most. "- Don't hold back. Yoroshiku." With that said, Trystan lunged forwards, before abruptly cutting off in an angle, a palm lashing out towards Adam's ribs with a qi enhanced strike, his other hand held at his side, ready to react to whatever his opponent would come up with. Things were going to get dirty, but it was going to be fun. |

A smirk grazed his lips as Trystan put on the display of his power of his Ki. Ko Am Mu Do never really taught the usage of Ki as an outer weapon but that never placed him at a disadvantage before. As his opponent launched in for his attack, Adam skipped forward a bit readying himself for his own strike before his opponent, cut out in an angle and launched his attack. 'Damn, nice one...' He couldn't help but let the compliment pass through his head. But as the attack came in he twisted his body in a way that made the attack barely miss it's intended target. As the attack brushed by, Adam found his tank top cut by the Ki attack. A slight look of surprise washed over his face but quickly retreated. Due to his counter move he was in close to Trystan, "You don't have to worry about that. In Ko Am Mu Do we are taught to never hold back in anything we do. Whether it's sparring or even training." Time for his counter, though he was too close for an actual punch to be effective, He had adapted a few simple moves from Muay Thai into his own style. With the rear arm he didn't take time to rear it back, he just tightened the forearm against his bicep and shot up a vicious elbow towards his opponent's chin. |

A dark bundled figure rolled around and stumbled across the rooftops as it seemed to be searching for something. It looked as if it were about to slip at one point, but a long and dark vine-like appendage slipped out from under the bundle of clothing and latched around a protruding hook on a roof, causing it to avoid dropping down three stories onto the ground. "Phew...that was a close one!" A high pitched, young voice was heard from the tiny figure as it swung on the hook and landed safely on the other part of the roof. Continuing her scurry across the roof, her figure finally came into view as she stood under a lamp post that towered over the roof. The tiny being wore a baggy black hoodie with pink and black striped sleeves that looked to be almost 3 times too big for her little body. It wasn't quite clear what she was wearing under it since it looked like a dress on her body. As she waddled around trying to find a new place to go, her ears perked up as she caught the sound of some people cheering and clapping their hands. Yuki quickened her pace and practically skipped over to the ledge of the building to find that there was a rather large crowd huddled around a man with silver hair practicing some fancy shmancy martial arts moves. He looked a bit familiar but as she just couldn't quite place where she knew him from since she was at such a high distance away from him. It was only until after the crowd started to disperse after a newcomer came out and seemed to have challenged the Silver haired man, that she realized exactly who the person was. It was him.... Finally, After searching for so long and worrying the hell out of herself, she had found him and he was right there...about to get hit. "HUH?! Oh no!!I gotta help him!!!" And with that, the chibi little kitty girl jumped off the ledge of the roof to free fall down to the ground. Her intention was to land on the guy attacking Adam, but she didn't quite make her mark like she wanted to. "AAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!" That was all that could be heard as the little cat girl dropped from the heavens and landed on top of Adam's head, the momentum and the power behind the fall was enough to send him forward to face plant on the floor with a large booming WHAM! As the dust cleared, it would be seen that Yuki was clinging onto Adam's head for dear life as her eyes went to tiny swirls with a blush over her cheeks. "Waaaah....that...didn't work out like I wanted it." She mumbled as she tried to regain her composure but instead just continued to cling to Adam's head. |

Adam froze mid attack and unfortunaley had to take a step back and look up, ending up with Yuki smashing into his head. It dazed him... a lot, so much to the point he fell face first into the ground and hard. With little Yuki still clinging to his head he slowly pushed himself up and reached his hand up, a very aggrivated look upon his face. He yanked Yuki from his head and stared at her, Not saying anything... what could he say. "Damn it... Yuki." He held his arm out in case she tried to reach out and cling to him. "I'm in the middle of something." he raised his foot up a bit, "Go wait in the crowd." He let his hand off of her and then launched a soft side kick to push her into the crowd. He wasn't worried... someone might catch her... maybe. Anyways, turning back to Trystan he got back into his stance, only this time it was a bit more loose and light as opposed to his earlier stance. "Sorry 'bout that." He started bouncing lightly on his toes. "Let's continue where we left off eh?" |

The Devil Pig is here!

Trystan's face unintentionally lit up with a small smile of delight. It would seem as if he had been right afterall. Though he had cut in at an outside angle, Adam had still been able to avoid the hit, qi extension and all. Turning his head to follow where Adam had dodged, he saw an elbow come flying towards his chin. The elbow was an interesting weapon. It was usually seen as a dirty blow, something akin to a rabbit punch or hitting below the belt. However, that could also be interpreted as a reputation being spread as a result of sour grapes. The reality of it was that the elbow, when used as a striking weapon, was one of the deadliest things to be hit with. It was stronger than the wrist, and was less likely to break than a fist. Though some cite the weakness of its much shorter range, they also seemed to forget that it was at this range the elbow strike was able to release the most devastating power. However, it was an all or nothing maneuver, and it's ability to do damage required precise aim and solid footing. Gathering the qi to his other palm, Trystan stepped back slightly, then lowered himself, rooting his feet and forcibly pulling his upper torso down as he got into a horse stance. The elbow came fast, nicking him on his cheek, then dragged upwards, cutting him over his eye. He hadn't had enough time to completely avoid the blow, but he was in the position he wanted to be in; his target was completely open. Thrusting out his palm with another qi enhanced palm strike and sharpening the arua around his palm into that of a wedge, he struck towards Adam's inner thigh. The move was originally designed to cut through flesh and bone first with qi, which would then open up the ability to cause blunt trauma to the layers underneath, allowing for heavy and penetrative damage. However, as it was a spar, there was no need to go that far; it would at most cause severe bruising, and temporary numbness in that leg. However, as he extended his palm outwards, a voice from the sky broke the atmosphere, causing any sort of combative attitude that had built up to disappear, his attack along with it. "AAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!" Trystan jumped backwards in slight surprise and shock as a look of pain crossed his face. That face-first smash into the ground must have hurt. But, who was this girl who seemed so affectionate for Adam? She looked to be no more than a child, perhaps someone who hadn't even hit the age of ten. It was dangerous jumping into a fight unannounced! Even disregarding that, the height she had jumped from was absurd! That could have easily killed any normal person jumping, let alone killing the person who they landed on. Speaking of...where was Adam? Apparently, he was fine. However, Trystan could only watch on in slight disbelief at the scene that had erupted in front of him. An extremely annoyed expression on his face, Adam pulled the very affectionate girl off of his face violently, before cursing and holding her at arms length. She thrashed, trying to reach out and apparently cling to his face once more. What devoted infatuation! "I'm in the middle of something. Go wait in the crowd." Trystan's shock and disbelief was apparent on his face. Adam had kicked his young admirer - literally kicked the young one into the crowd. Had he misjudged this man? Was he merely a cruel miscreant who abused his skills to just make a few bucks? Was she alright with such treatment? He already knew he could never understand women, but it seemed that at this point in time he couldn't even understand the simple female child. Perhaps he really was a simpleton after all, just a mass of muscle who knew how to fight. However, while he was lost in thought, Nina had been alert of the situation. The crowd pushing itself away from the flying human-projectile, the space around Nina had cleared as well. At this point in time, only two thoughts were running through her mind. One was the fact that she was holding onto their very important laundry basket, which held the even more important cloak that her Master had entrusted to her. Secondly, the girl was flying in her face, and she was in a position to break that trajectory. In a moment of desperation, Nina's skills as a maid were put to the test. With a precise movement, Nina flipped the basket cover high into the air, then swung the basket like a net, nabbing the flying girl. Completing the swing in a full circle, Nina swung the basket upwards, then twirled it slightly before letting go, further nullified the force of the girl's movement, then caught the spinning basket. The lid fell neatly over the hold, missing the girl's face but otherwise covering the rest of the basket. The crowd roared in approval of this performance, and quickly came back to watch the continuation of the fight. "Sorry 'bout that. Let's continue where we left off eh?" "R-Right." Exhaling deeply and shaking his thoughts clear of the situation that had just occurred, Trystan returned to the half-meditative state he was in before. He noted the light, bouncing stance which Adam had taken up now. Was this his real fighting style? Either way, it seemed as if this man was simply full of tricks. Hunching over once more, Trystan prepared for the exchange. Any hint of being unsettled that may have been in his voice earlier was dispelled, replaced by sheer focus. A second wave of sakki blew out from him, raising and blowing away a light curtain of dust. "Come." |

Before Yuki could celebrate and enjoy the fact that she had finally found who she had been searching for, He snatched her off the back of his head and dangled her practically. She flailed her arms and kicked her legs while whining and complaining as she tried to get back on his head to cling to him some more. "WAAAAHHH!!! Why are you so mean right now!? I haven't seen you in forever and this is how you react? Sooooo mean!" Yuki shouted at him in her rambunctious way before abruptly calming down when he began to speak. As he dropped her, Her eyes widened since she knew exactly what was coming next. It would either be a kick or a punch or a throw of some sort like he usually did to her. "Wait wait wai-NOOOOOOO!!!!!" She shrieked as she felt his food come up to her side and felt it launch her towards the crowd. Her eyes looked huge as she covered her face and curled up in a ball. "Watch out!!!" Yuki warned before she felt herself being thrown about and landing inside a very soft basket. A soft pop was heard as she peeked her head out from the basket and looked around confused. It seems she was expecting to be thrown into someone or to hit a wall or something of the sort. Instead, she was in the aforementioned basket, being held by a very pretty lady. Tilting her head up to look at her with a childish and curious look of wonder on her face, she stared at the lady for a moment before flashing her a giant goofy smile as her black cat ears twitched playfully. "Arigato Gozaimasu!" She thanked the girl before turning her attention back to Adam and the one he was going against. In a matter of one moment, her face went from ridiculously happy and thankful to extremely sad and pouty with big watery eyes and the quivering lip to go with it. Her ears dropped down and she began to whine. "Aaaaadaaaam!!! Why are you so mean!? Hey! Dont hurt mah Adam! Don't be a bully!!!" She shouted at Trystan, unaware of the fact that him and the lady that caught her were associated. |

There was a bit of a twitch in his eyebrow. His teeth gritted together before finally... "Yuki! Shush! You know the rules about interrupting one of my matches! Geez!" He had to calm down, if not he'd definitely be beaten. A few deep breathes and he was back to normal as his gaze went to Trystan. "Sorry... fan girls, what are you gonna do?" Alright, time for his starting move. He took a step forward after loosening up his leg position to a natural standing stance. After his initial step he jumped and spun in what appeared to be a tornado kick, The kick itself went over his opponent's head. Then again, with Adam he had always inverted this kick into something different, instead of the round house-esque kick expected from the attack... Adam used the initial kick to gain momentum to drive more power into his next attack. Quickly as the round house passed over Trystan's head, He shot his pulled his kicking leg back from his body and twisted his hip fiercely to shoot out a hard back kick. Had this been an actual fight instead of a sparring match, Adam's intended target would've been the chin, forehead, or the median line of the face. But this attack was aimed lower as it cut through the distance at an alarming rate towards his chest. |

"Let's go over there." Yume-Chan commented, "Let's see what's so interesting over there." As she walks towards the crowd. After we returned to Arcadia, Yume-Chan went to the armory and put her gun inside, and we decided to have a walk around the town. "Hmmm... it's just two guys fighting over there." I exclaimed, wonder what's so interesting about two guys fighting, this is so barbaric. "Let's go." "Let's have a look, they seems to be rather good." "What's so interesting about two guys fighting." "Hehe," my good friends laughs, "Ma Amies" she continued, well, she's still using bits and pieces of ancient tongue in her speech, though no as bad as before. "It is only natural for a Martial Artist to be interested in a sparing match between two others. Art thee not one thyself?" "Actually no, I find seeing two guys fighting boring." Actually, I really don't consider myself a Martial Artist; I have only learned a few moves for self-defense. "I am not into Hot Blooded Shonen. It's gross." As the fights goes on, Yume-Chan makes a few more comments, something on how good they are and how she would like to have a spar with them one of these days and whatever, I don't really care. |

The Devil Pig is here!
|
"Aaaaadaaaam!!! Why are you so mean!? Hey! Dont hurt mah Adam! Don't be a bully!!!" The corner of Nina's eyes twitched visibly at the seemingly spastic girl she had caught in their basket. Closing her eyes and huffing, she picked the young girl up and out of the basket, dropping her unceremoniously on the ground. Though it was probably an action which her Master would have frowned upon, the chibi was the one at fault. If it weren't for the fact that Adam had been showing off in the streets, her Master would have been spending more time with her, and they would have been finishing up their shopping by now. Happy Hour was calling, and none of this was helping. If anything, he was taking too long. With her naive belief that her Master was simply the strongest martial artist alive, it wasn't too hard to follow this train of logic. Looking down with an uncharacteristically cool look, a hint of her annoyance with this situation as a whole leaked through. "It's his fault for having attracted my Master's attention." However, this drama was entirely lost within the uproar of the crowd. One would have been hard-pressed to hear it from the middle of the circle that had gathered. Besides, who would have the spare concentration to have focused on something like that in the middle of a match? Trystan saw the lunging spin, his body instinctively reacting to the high roundhouse from the tornado kick by leaning back, avoiding that particular kick. However, as he saw the kick go high over his head, he immediately knew that he had made a mistake. From the trajectory of the kick and from his current perspective, it was now obvious that the high roundhouse was merely a feint - it was never intended to hit him to begin with. His eyes flashed downwards, being prompted by a hint of movement he had seen from his peripherals, then widened in slight surprise. The back kick was already set up, and was already dangerously close to striking his midsection. Gritting his teeth, Trystan prepared to deal with the blow. Gathering his qi to his thighs while rooting his feet, Trystan pushed off, cutting a tight diagonal while spinning. This motion would accomplish two goals, namely evasion and dispersion. He had reacted and realized too late to both the move and the intent of the kick - once again, he wouldn't have had enough time to either fully evade or block. However, this method combined the best option of the two, and set himself up to be in a prime position to launch a counter-attack. The back kick was a highly specialized kick, able to deal massive damage with the heel. However, despite the attempts at compensating, it could not truly negate the undeniable disadvantage that you willingly turn your back to your opponent while doing this move. This was fine when you had sparring rules in place where you disallow attacks from behind, however, this was never the case in a fight. The kick, in his opinion, should never be performed in any serious encounter for this reason. Tightening up his midsection temporarily as the kick neared him, Trystan rolled off the heel while pushing forwards, allowing the damage to flow through and partially out with his motion. The heel caught onto a fold of his shirt, ripping it open from the front and popping off several buttons. Paying it no mind, Trystan pushed on, landing in another horse stance, standing literally only inches away from each other. From this postion, Trystan was at an oblique angle, standing on the side of and lined up with Adam's post foot, effectively entering the "blind spot" of a back kick. This time, he gathered the qi to both of his palms, forming his aura into the same consistency as the attack he had tried to execute earlier before he was interrupted by Adam's random admirer - sharp enough to penetrate but not puncture, hard enough to bruise and paralyze but not break. However, this time, Trystan expanded the aura, enlarging and forming the qi expelled into an umbrella-sized area. This would make the attack, which was previously a focused attack onto Adam's inner thigh, into one which would attack his whole body at once simultaneously from two seperate and converging points. Each palm would not deal as much damage to any specific area, but the added potential effect of damaging the whole body at once was well worth it. While using a charging step to attempt to check and knock Adam off balance, Trystan lashed out with his two palms in a semi-pincer motion, one aiming for Adam's gluteals, and the other towards his lower back. This would serve to maximize the overlapping areas from his attack while covering as much of Adam's body as possible. From this distance, unless something went horribly wrong, he was bound to hit with at least one. Coupled with the effect of the downward, crushing nature of the attack to begin with, not to mention the likely off balance position Adam could be in if the hip check succeeded, if either of his palms hit their mark, Adam would be granted a pretty rocky re-introduction with the ground, no pun intended. |

Yuki would have started to complain some more but she was interrupted by the feeling of hands around her body and the dropping feeling onto the floor. Her ears perked up in a quizzical manner and she tilted her head to the side before scrambling up to her feet and brushing off the dirt off of the back of her rear end. Before she did anything else, She turned to look at the maid lady and just ended jumping up and down in frustration. "It's your Master's fault because he's picking on Adam!" Yuki exclaimed then turned around to see what was happening. She watched as the other man went to attack Adam again and even though she knew she wasn't supposed to interfere when he was in a fight, she still couldn't sit still and just ended up flailing her arms much like penguin would flap at its arms. "Aaadaaam!!! Be careful!" She shouted as loud as she could but it was still quite hidden by the sounds of the crowd shouting and cheering the two men on. |

'Shit...' Adam had really opened himself up this time, there was almost no way to dodge the attack. He'd just have to take the attack, but it was then that he felt it... his arm began to throb as it usually did when it was drawing in resonance. Could that mean that Trystan was using a Ki attack? He didn't have time to think as Trystan's attack came in hard. He felt ever inch of the attack, and it hurt. He nearly keeled over onto his knees, in fact he did as he placed a hand on the ground to catch himself from falling, he grunted in pain. "Damn that hurt..." he chuckled a bit though to show that he took nothing personal against the attack, showing that he knew that even if it was a sparring match... both combatants had agreed in not holding back. This match was insane though... there had only been four attacks and counters issued so far but it felt like there was so much more going on in this match. It must've looked like some kung-fu movie fight you'd see in the theaters or something. His body began to feel weird, as if the Ki that created by the drawn in energy was being pushed through his body, primarily where the strike had landed, after a few moments he pushed himself up and returned to his stance. "You're a damn good martial artist. Only four attacks have been issued in the match and it feels like I've been fighting you for an hour." He smiled a bit as he dropped into a small back stance. "I enjoy these types of matches. C'mon, the party's just started." Edited by Adam, Feb 25 2010, 05:39 PM.

The Devil Pig is here!
|
"It's your Master's fault because he's picking on Adam!" Nina twitched again. The origin of any event is always the source and cause of said event. This child...it didn't seem that they would get along very well. She was almost starting to regret having broken her fall at all. However, as she thought this, Nina silently reprimanded herself in Trystan's place. He would never have approved of such thoughts. Despite all of this, Nina let none of it show on her face, and merely stood in silence, refusing to be goaded on by a mere child, and instead focused on the match itself. At the very least, from her perspective, her Master was dominating, as she had expected all along. Trystan stood his ground as Adam crashed onto the floor. He had felt his attacks hit cleanly, and it showed. The side which had been hit had become an unsightly, purple-y color, and was starting to swell as well. However, just when Trystan was about to salute Adam and end the spar, he felt it again. He had noted the slight pulling in his aura when they had first met, and here it was again. However, this time it was much stronger. He looked down at Adam. Just who was he? Was it that arm? Was it eating his qi? The swelling and bruising was already going down. Was Adam secretly able to utilize qi as well? Or was the arm simply feeding Adam what it had leeched away from him? After a moment, Adam got up and brushed himself off. "You're a damn good martial artist. Only four attacks have been issued in the match and it feels like I've been fighting you for an hour." It seemed that overall, he was fine, and was recovering as they spoke. However, at the same time, it seemed that even with the strange and inexplicable recovery, Adam still hadn't gotten away unscathed. Though it looked like he was trying to tough it out, he was still a bit wobbly on his feet, even if he himself wasn't aware of it. It was no small wonder; he wasn't one to brag, but Trystan was quite confident in the destructive power of the technique he had just used. Coupled with the damage that would be incurred from his body smashing into the ground, it was rather astonishing that nothing had broken yet. This man really was a formidable opponent, and much more resilient than most. "I enjoy these types of matches. C'mon, the party's just started." A small grin came to his face as Adam spoke. In that case, it would be perfectly fine to escalate things further. To shake off the paralysis that would generally occur after such an amount of mechanical pressure could only mean one thing - he had somehow increased his own physical attributes. If that was the case, his body would be much more resilient. He could let loose some more then, perhaps even let his qi become sharp enough to draw some blood, blunt and heavy enough to break some bones, and penetrate enough to cause de-myelination. A wild glint came to his eyes as the crueler, colder, and more violent side of him started to peek through. The thought that it was still a spar was still in the back of his mind, but with a strong opponent in front of him, it almost seemed like it didn't matter. Trystan smirked, holding out his hands and crossing them in front of him. "Then it's time to heat up the action, don't you think?" Swinging them violently downwards, Trystan released two simultaneous kenki blasts, each as fine and long as a blade edge, and powerful enough to slice through flesh, but not bone; one was released at chest height, the other towards the thighs. As they were released, Trystan lunged forwards, closing the distance between the two, his arms hanging at his side. To the average observer, and perhaps to even some of the more observant, it would have seemed as if Trystan was merely trying to show off by throwing dramatic poses around. It would not have been unusual, seeing as he had started out the fight in a hunched over, beast-like posture. However, if one looked very closely, one could possibly see two, mirage-like trails emerging from his fingertips. On the other hand, most of the people who could observe this phenomena would likely disregard this as an optical illusion caused by the heat getting to their heads; the trails would have disappeared in the blink of an eye, and are only the afterimage left by ranged qi attacks regardless. As Trystan neared Adam, he gathered the qi to his hands once more, forming his aura into a rake-like shape, which extended about 2 hand-lengths on all sides surrounding his hand. He then slapped towards the nearer side of Adam's ribs, keeping his other arm at his side in order to react to whatever technique Adam would choose to counter with. The slap, however, was not a conventional slap, as it travelled in the trajectory of an uppercut, coming in from below, and was more akin to a rising palm strike. The aura was not meant to cut either. The claws of the aura were rough and relatively blunt, and were meant more to hook, tear, and lodge and lock itself into and onto the opponent's muscular and skeletal structure respectively while injuring any internal organs which had the misfortune to be in the way. This would allow them to be launched into the air while leaving a messy and quite threatening distracting wound, which would open them up for more punishment. However, there was still a semblance of self-control within Trystan, and thus had only allowed the rake to form to the extent that it could penetrate, but not tear, thus limiting the strike's ability to merely cause some blunt trauma and launch. |
