"Is that so? Sore de..." Miyuki briefly checked her watch. It was almost noon by that point. "It's a good time for lunch isn't it?"

She raised the satchel with her free hand, as if to emphasize her point, and smirked

"The park then?" she asked impishly

"It better not be onigiri again." Kouta stated mostly in jest. It was break time...it was fine that he let himself relax from this strange mission/date thingy, right? Regardless, with him being suddenly in the mood to take the lead, he dashed off ahead.

"Last one their has to feed the winner."

"Thats-!!"

It was no use protesting, she knew, and simply darted after Kouta.

"You idiot!" she shouted after him as she continued to run. It was really little different from a standard hot pursuit, and was definitely in good enough shape to easily keep up, and even catch up to him.

The difference of course, was she wouldn't have to tackle and subdue him, however tempting the thought might have been.

"Who is the idiot here? The one running or the one chasing? That is the true question." Kouta mused simply enough, not really minding that Miyuki seemed to be catching up, the so called race had only begun...and since he never did set any other rules other than get there first Kouta did one thing he was good at in order to cut corners, something picked up from being a delivery boy many years ago.

"SHORTCUT TIME!" Kouta roared out...suddenly turning to jump right over (and into, didn't make it the whole way) a flowerbed and continued his mad dash to the park...!

Goddamn that man! she thought loudly. It really did feel like a hot pursuit now.

She made the turn quite handily, and tried to jump across the field as well, landing just ahead of were Kouta had landed into a bed of flowers that she would have normally rather avoided, but she hated to lose, and the inconvenience of going through them was quickly forgotten as she sped to catch up.

"JACKET ARMOR PURGE!" Kouta yelled out, suddenly abandoning his trenchcoat in hopes of it flying into the woman behind him, and at the same time the shark plushie had somehow ended up underneath his hat as he continued his sprint.

In a standard pursuit, she would have simply sidestepped the jacket and gone right through to pursue him.

Unfortunately, this was not a standard pursuit, nor was her mind currently geared towards one. Instead she slowed down to catch the jacket as it came, and sighed, mildly annoyed. Honestly, what was she going to do with him sometimes.

That idiot. she thought to herself, unconsciously smirking as she folded the jacket as she walked, and preparing words to scold him with.

"Victory get." Kouta stated simply as he reached the park proper finally. All he did was give Miyuki his usual grin and thumbs up, followed by a hearty laugh. He didn't seem to show any times of fatigue, which made one wonder how his own stamina was, more so given his tendency to overwork himself to extreme levels.

Meanwhile, just a few steps behind despite his tricks, Miyuki had entered shortly after Kouta. Not really taking heed of the smile or laugh, she didn't seem the least bit fatigued either.

"You!" she pointed towards him, as if to emphasize her statement.

"nani o shitoru!?" she asked angrily, enough to lapse back into her natural accent rather than her tokyo-esque business one "That was dangerous! What if it ended up hitting a car or something!?"

"Ah, I was wondering when I'd hear you speak in kansaiben again." Kouta replied without really flinching. However, he did end up pushing Miyuki Two further inside his beanie, enough to hide her eyes at least. "And calm down, you're scaring her." he continued, mostly in jest.

"Besides...we were running parallel to the road and the fact of the matter is..." he began explaining himself turning around as he did so, but looked back all the same with a wide smile on his face. "I knew you'd catch it."

"That-"... that was actually true.

There was still a risk of hitting random people walking down the sidewalk but that would have been an inconvenience rather than anything else. But still...

"Idiot..." she sighed simply.

Miyuki just shook her head, and simply handed over his jacket back, properly folded as if newly laundered, and then, suddenly, and unconsciously...

...sneezed.

"...Allergic to flowers? Guess I'll have to keep that in mind when choosing gifts." Kouta quipped as he took his trenchcoat back and put it on, before subsequently pulling the shark plushie from out of his hat and back into the spot she was inside his coat. Before long, Kouta had rummaged through one of his pockets and pulled out a handkerchief, one that he would hand to Miyuki.

"Never would have guessed, always with the surprises."

Not unexpectedly, she declined, preferring her own over Kouta's. It wasn't really that it was his, but she'd always preferred her own everything. Handloads, clothing, pretty much everything, and a long-standing preference to things she herself owned, knew, and could trust overrode such things as Kouta's gesture.

"Whatever gave you that stupid idea?" she asked sneeringly, not bothering to change accents. She didn't know anyone from this world, and Kouta already knew about it anyway.

"I doubt any of the fabric on my coat, or the fresh air of the park would cause a person to sneeze. The only thing likely was from when I jumped into the flowerbed, and no doubt I got some pollen on it then too." Kouta mused, simply turning around and walking back the way they came, brushing by Miyuki as he made a simple statement.

"Well, if you're not I'm gonna go pick up a bouquet from that flower shop we passed on the way. You keep saying this job's a date, and guys get girls flowers on dates so may as well."

"Do as you wish." she shrugged, taking a seat on a nearby bench.

In a sense, it was true. She had no problems with flowers. Pollen on the other hand, was another story, and she went through great pains to conceal any form of weakness. Broken rib? Walk it off. Barely functional arm? Doesn't matter. Pain or discomfort? Hold it in.

Whatever it was that ailed her, she was about as likely to admit it to anyone who wasn't a trained medical operator dispatched to deal with her as the sol star was as likely to turn into a black hole. A scientific impossibility, barring an event that would trigger the collapse of all known understanding of the universe.

It was simply ignored, and the slight against her was quickly forgotten and buried as her face dropped out of its slightly relaxed air into the same mask she used to casually shoot someone in the face and write a report, while dutifully pulling out tbe boxes from the satchel, and carefully unwrapping them.

It seemed almost inexcusable not to have a mat, but then she'd usually eaten alone, and a bench served just as fine as a random blanket on the grass.

As far as food went, the opening of the boxes made her specialty quite clear. The first contained what appeared to be several pieces of beef tenderloin, fried lightly in sesame oil until lightly browned, and covered with a thick red sauce of garlic, sherry, soy, mushrooms, mild chilli, spring onions and various spices, and then fried again until the whole mix sizzled. It had been a few hours since cooking and it was no longer piping hot, but it still steamed lightly when the cover was removed.

The second meanwhile, consisted of marinated roast pork loin, sliced thinly and then chilled rapidly, in her case with ice, but ice wouldn't have survived the trip under such conditions. There was a semi-sweet sauce to the side, apparently made from a thickened braising liquid with a mild dash lemon juice added for tang and further the flavour.

Finishing it off were two, small covered metal bowls, that contained steaming hot white rice, with the sort of consistency one might expect from a higher class restaurant. Although not distinctly flavoured, there were hints (mostly in the smell) of using a weak chicken broth rather than water. The taste, was an extremely mild, non overpowering, in fact barely there at all, but just enough to remind you it was there and flowing nicely with the rest of the meal.

It was an almost inordained amount of effort to put into a simple packed lunch, but she had wanted to ensure it was done properly as well, and perhaps be memorable. Nobody could really tell

As she set Kouta's bowl and chopsticks on the bench, without changing her expression at all, she gestured for him to sit and have his meal.
