Such a wonderful world. A world where nothingness ran rampant trying to be something. An empty world with no people to call it home. How lovely this all was. This world truly was a world with no heart, for without people bustling about, people talking, people living, the world might as well not exist. But...It existed anyways.

Why was that?

The newest Nobody stood up from where he sat, on top of a building overlooking the streets below. The empty streets, filled with DARKNESS. "Such a good thing to have all this silence." He said to himself, with a small grin, something he had been practicing. So much easier to deal with fools with hearts, if he could pretend he could imagine what they felt.

Kinclex did not usually venture out of the castle and into the City below. Not unless it was to quell the masses of pureblood Heartless. However, today, he had sensed a disturbance within the void of a world. It seemed peculiar. It was present, but not there at all. Like a nobody. But this was more than a Dusk. Kinclex was interested in this new exsistance.

He walked down the streets of DARKNESS and watched as the Shadows scurried into the inky blacknees around the buildings. They knew from experience that Nobodies had no hearts and that even if they got territorial and attacked, they would be dealt with swiftly.

Oh-ho! What was this? Another nobody down below. This was quite surprising. Well, okay, not so much. Who else would be here? Well, aside from the suicidal. He'd been informed of the others already. But regardless, he'd heard that they stuck to the castle. The rather boring castle. Seriously, just black and white? No real color? If he could feel bored, he would be!

He sat on the edge of the building, a small smirk underneath his hood. He wondered which one this was. It was obviously one of the male ones. Then again, that left like nine or ten. NOT much to go on. He could do things the sly way observing the person, figuring out from there...

"OIIIIIIIIII!" He yelled out, waving down at the other nobody.

...Or he could just go the direct way and get this all handled right here and now. Subtlety was never his style, even when he DID have a heart. No, it was much more fun to mess with people by doing the most ridiculous thing imaginable. It always left people off guard. And he preferred always keeping people off.

The second Kinclex heard the voice, he vanished from his onlookers sight. However, at the next moment, the figure would find himself surrounded by 5 Hunter Nobodies floating around him and training their gunbarrels on him. At the same time, Kinclex was standing just behind him to his right on a nearby ledge, arms folded and hood down.

His long, sable hair billowing in the wind of the dark world, followed by the ends of his coat. Kinclex's ice blue eyes piereced the shadows that had swallowed the stranger's hood. "Who are you? And why do you wear the coat of the Organisation?" Kinclex had not heard of any new members joining and anyone who wore the coat otherwise, was an imposter in his eyes.

The Hunter's floated motionless, awaiting Kinclex's mental signal to open fire. "Tell me, how did you come to be here?"

Oh, how curious of a reaction. Maxer feigned surprise and shock at being surrounded. "Oh deary me." He said, looking around. He stood up, smoothing out his coat. "You don't know who I am? Such a shame. You're really missing out." He said, a grin forming underneath his hood. "For someone who reacts so quickly, you sure are slow on the uptake."

"I am the new number VIII. A member of the organization just like yourself. The newest, actually." He said, before raising his fingers and snapping. Dark corridors opened behind the hunters, and out flew the Clockwork angels, bladed arms aimed at the hunters. They just hovered there, waiting.

"Pleased to meet you." He said, before taking an overly done bow. The grin behind his hood was not leaving his face all throughout this. This would have been fun, if he could have fun.

Kinclex raised his eyebrows. Well, this was a new turn of events. Truth be told, he had been away from the Castle for a long time. News of Mexes demise had not even reached his ears. However, she was annoying to beign with, as were most of the neophytes in the Organisation. This one seemed to be a bit over the top as well. But unlike them, his speech mannerisms held something cold that he couldn't help but respect.

Even if he was only remembering what respect was. The Hunter's slowly dissappered. This was not a matter for lesser Nobodies, even if he did have his own. "I'd say please to meet you, but it would not mean anything, now would it? So rather. Hello and welcome." Kinclex looked at the newcomer for a moment, "So what are we to call you then?" Kinclex was almost itching to test this new member's mettle. To see how good he really was.

"I am known by many names. I am known to some as the bringer of doom. To others I am the end. Others call me...sensei... There was also one man who called me Tim. I never got the joke." He said before standing up straight, all but one of the clockwork angels vanishings as they did so. The remaining one was different, colored red, and landed behind him.

"I've got too many to list off really. But, I guess you could call me Maxer. I think that's what the bishounen called me after that fancy little name anagram show. Or you could call me Bob. Always wondered how it would be if I was named Bob, though I suppose now that is worth nothing..." He said, his voice fading out as he finished that sentence.

"Oh, but that is not important really, now is it? Ah, but who cares if it is or isn't? Not me, not you. We can't care at all, so why even bother trying to keep it all straight? It's not like it will matter in the long run." He said, reaching into his pocket and removing a watch. He began to twirl it by it's chain, making sure it was not spinning TOO fast.

"How about you? I trust you have a name you wish to be known as? Why else would you find a name so important to know?" He asked back, curious as to which of his 12 brothers and sisters was blessed with the chance to meet him first.

"I'd personally call you a bag of hot air after that speech, but seeing as you've introduced yourself properly regardless, then I'll refrain from doing so." Kinclex now was a bit interested. Why was it that he dismissed all but one of his servant Nobodies? Kinclex began analysing the situation and coming up with possible theories. As he did so he began to respond to Maxer, "I can appreciate your attitude, it reminds me a lot of some of the more senior members. However,"

Kinclex watched as he formed his pocket watch, "Keeping our memories straight and in tact is half the reason why we aren't Dusks. Remembering is what will eventually help us to feel once we have our hearts back." Kinclex watched as Maxer began to spin the watch, assuming that it was perhaps something to do with his weapon. From what he could tell, aside from the Beserkers, Maxer's Nobodies were rather large and destructive no matter how Kinclex looked at them.

"As for my name, don't expect to give it as freely as any of the others. Just because you're in the Organisation doesn't mean you're of any worth yet. How fortunate for you however, because I'm in the mood to test your strength." Kinclex unfolded his arms and lowered himself down into a fighting stance. As he did so, black and white tendrils began to swirl around his arms and legs before forming into a set of gauntlets and grieves.

"Assuming that you didn't dismiss all of your Nobodies, I'm under the impression you saw this coming, no?" In the Organisation, Kinclex was by far one of the most brutal fighters when it came to sheer body power and body attacks. It would be interesting to see how Maxer fairs, that is, if he doesn't chicken out.

"How rude of you." Maxer said, seeming to be hurt. "You demand someone else's name, and refuse to give your own? I take it back, you're not worthy to call me Bob." He said, shaking his head. "And so insulting. Just because you don't have a heart, does NOT mean you have to be an ass about things. I expect your somebody had issues. Lots of issues. Maybe a fear of clowns." He continued, looking back at Kinclex with a simple stare.

"As for why I dismissed all but one, I did not leave him here just so he could fight. Oh quite the opposite really. Clockwerk here is the first Clockwork Angel who came to me. As such, he is my number one minion. Not so good a fighter, really. The arms have a nasty habit of just falling right off." He lied, wincing as he did so as he imagined Clockwerl's arms falling off. REALLY quite painful...he'd have to detach them later to keep appearances up. If there was one good thing he could do, it was lie. He had no issue doing so, and really it was always hard to determine whether or not he was serious, not serious, truthful, lying, or just plain out of his gourd.

"Now, as for ME fighting YOU? Eh, no thank you. I know you're probably the kind of guy who has a lot to prove to himself, and has a blood knight-like need to fight everything that moves, but I suggest taking up a better hobby. Maybe knitting, you've got some good thimbles on you." He said, pointing at the gauntlets Kinclex had formed. "I just plan to take my time and observe my new home. Really quite fun looking down at a world with no heart. Ironically it's because we keep the world all locked up like this with no people." He said, turning and looking back down.

"Yep, if we had a few hundred or thousand people down there, I bet the city would really feel alive. Especially when the heartless come. The screams would really liven things up. A shame it's so easy to give a world feeling, yet we can't feel, am I right?" He asked, curious as to what Kinclex's response would have been. He was also ready in case he tried to sucker punch him.

Kinclex began to laugh, "Well done." He dropped out of his fighting stance and stood normally, although his gauntlets and grieves did not dissapear. "I applaud you. You're not as fool hardy as those other youngsters. They would have taken up the challenge immediately, clinging to those emotions of pride and anger. Or at least what they thought was pride and anger." Kinclex stood their, arms at his sides and smiling.

Maxer surprised him. He had the false humour of the other lower numbers, but the reserve of an older member. It was an odd mixture. However, he felt he should verify several things. "Boy, you seem to have prowess and your attempts at deductive reasoning in regards to possible opponents are admirable." Kinclex then stopped smiling and took on his usual stoic expression and deadpan, emotionless tone. "But you give yourself too much credit. From the day I was born, I was my own Somebody and a Nobody at the same time, with the transformation being complete when my own heart tore itself from my body. Deductive Reasoning, failed."

Kinclex's eyes were now staring at Maxer, unblinking and unmoving, daring him to move or speak otherwise. The pressure in the entire area just seemed to become heavier. The air, the darkness, just everything. "Your judgement of my character in reagards to my fighting style. I don't crave blood, I don't crave battle. There's no point. All we need do as Organisation XIII members is shepard the Lightweilders into doing our bidding. Judging Opponant, failed. As for you sitting by and simply observing, Arxdelf does enough of that as it is, so neither I or any of the others are going to tolerate yet another member doing the same. Plan to evade, failed."

The air pressure would start becoming uncomfortable now. Kinclex's condensing of the electrons was simply his warning to Maxer, though he doubted he'd know the method he was doing it with. Either he kept his words respectful or he would be disciplined like any other junior member. "And as for people in this city. Once Kingdom Hearts is complete, the Dusks will form up the populace and our world shall be complete, just like we will be."

Kinclex then clenched and unclenched his gauntlets, "One final note. I'm familiar with mechanical type heartless. Often my own Hunter's work in tandem with Number VI's, they're practically made to go with each other. That aside, I know that often with machines, the first drafts or designs of any machine, although not perfect, overcompensates. Why is it a that some of the first microwaves ovens are still lasting to this day and age, while the newer ones that are made break down over 3 years."

Kinclex smirked, "It's because newer models lose all the extras. They use cheaper materials, cause they don't need to last for long, just long enough to get the job done. So with you saying that Clockwerk is one of your first, I could believe his arm could come off, but that would be a hinderance for you in battle, so I doubt you'd leave it unattended." Kinclex had Eiji Ishida to thank for this deductive reasoning. Being in the Wo-Shing forced you to think and consider everything. And with Maxer's long speech, he had plenty of time to analyse things as he spoke.

"I wouldn't say you didn't replace that Nobody because you were fond of it, you kept it because it's perhaps still more effective than other Nobodies at your disposal. That being the case, you'd keep it strong, to make it and yourself, more efficiant warriors. Bluffing, D-Ranked." Kinclex wasn't going to attack right away, it wasn't his style.

Maxer stopped twirling the watch, and caught it. Oh lord. This boy had just done something really stupid.

"...My boy, do not ever call me a youngster." He said, glaring out from under his hood with a very dark look in his eyes. His eyes were not calm, playful, or silly. They were not part of his acts. No, these eyes were filled with fire. Fire from the depths of hell. A look that screamed out 'Step away from this.' To make things even odder, his voice had gone from carefree and comical to old. He sounded as if he was an old man, carried himself completely differently. Even though nothing had changed physically in him, the entire way he held himself was altered

As quickly as the look came, though, it went. Instead, Maxer reached up and removed his hood, a small smile on his face.It was almost as if nothing had happened. "My brother, I fear we're off to a rather bad start. I can not help but feel you mistrust me. You actually thought I was serious about your somebody? It was a joke. I couldn't care less about all that really. Deductive reasoning, failed? How can I fail at something I did not try? Though, I do thank you for opening up to me about your past. Very nice of you."

"And judging opponent? What makes you think I saw you as my opponent? You ARE my ally, are you not? But then, if you think I saw YOU as an opponent, then you must see me as one. Maybe you're not being completely honest with yourself. Or maybe you're just hostile to all new people." He said, placing his hands over his chin as if thinking. "Either way, again with the rudeness. Really, I have done nothing to warrant this aggression, yet you sound like you wish to chop off my head. Someone seems to need a hug. I'd give you one, but, again, head chopping off vibe."

"As for Kingdom Hearts...Yeaaaah no. I'm willing to help you all get hearts, but I'm not taking mine back. I prefer not having it. Much more useful to me. So have fun with the complete world and stuff, I'll not be having any of that myself." He said, with a shrug.

"And lastly......You seem to have something in your ear. I didn't build Clockwerk. I didn't build any of the Clockwork angels. They are pure nobodies. Bodies, albeit with some mechanical parts. Not my design, not at all. Clockwerk was the first one I found. Not built. So while he MAY have some special skills, I'm not sure what they are. Well, not for fighting anyways. He is one HELL of a gardener though. Remind me to pass out some of his carrots around the castle. They are to die for."

"Sooooo long story short. Seems like we both might want to leave observation to...what did you call him? Arc dwarf? Meh, whatever his name is. Oh, but my friend, do let me tell you this; Electromancy? Really? You do realize these cloaks are resilient to this? Yes?" He said, raising an eyebrow as he raised his hood once more. He'd seen elemancy over the centuries. This was nothing new. It was strong elemancy, yes, but he'd seen it all before.

"......But let's put all this aside and start off on a new foot. I feel like muffins. Do you feel like muffins? We should go get some muffins." He said, with some fake glee. "My treat. I'll even bring some back to the castle for the others! A sort of way to say hello."

Kinclex took this note of the sudden change in composure. The voice had changed, but he wasn't one to be intimidated. The only man who had ever done that was Eiji and that was when he could still feel fear. He listened to Maxer reply to all of his statements, but Kinclex decided best to leave it at that. He didn't wish to argue over it, it was too tiresome, but he did want to make one thing clear.

"Let me tell you this. Within this Organisation, I do not trust even half the members, reason being, they're too unstable. Your shifts of topic and character have just cemented you into that catergory. You're second rate. In this Organisation, there are only about 2 to 3 members I actually choose to perform my tasks with. In that respect, someone who would therefore create friction should I work with them."

Kinclex watched closely, before speaking again, "The only thing that makes us allies is your cloak, nothing more." The pressure in tha area suddenly vanished. That could be a good or a bad thing. "I admit you're more pleasant to be around than the others, but you're still, one of the others."

Kinclex then vanished from sight and before Maxer knew it, there were 3 balls of black lightning floating around him and Clockwerk. Kinclex then appeared on a different rooftop looking down at Maxer, "Prove your worth, pipsqueek." The balls of lightning exploded. It was easy for Kinclex to create them, condensing electrons served two purposes. The first was to created an aura of muderous intent and the second, was to prepare any of his attacks. In this case, it was his Maelstrom bombs.

As the dust settled, Maxer was gone. However, a dark corridor opened up behind Kinclex, and a chain flew out, aimed to go around Kinclex's neck. Maxer had seen the quick movement before, when Kinclex had warped up to start this whole mess, and he knew how it worked. There was nothing he had not seen.

"Let me give you a piece of advice." Said his voice as he walked out of the corridor, with a cross look on his face. "Don't attack allies. I don't give a damn what you think of me, or the others. But we are allies. We are the XIII. I may be the newest one, but even I know better than to start a fight with one of my own."

He then stepped out, showing the chain was that of the one on his watch. Clockwerk stepped out beside him, standing there silently. "Unless you want the big man in charge to think you're a traitor. Grow a brain. And I'm pretty damn sure he gave you the same warning he gave me. Duskification. Turning into the lowest of the low. And don't think you're above that. You can be replaced. Just as the number VIII was replaced by me."

He was not wanting to fight right now. At all. But this fool had the gall to attack him right off the bat. And he spoke of 2 or 3 he trusted. That meant now that there were 3 or 4 nobodies he would not be able to trust. He pulled back his chain, and began to swing his watch again. "Do you wish to continue this needless farce of a fight? Or can we just go and get the damned muffins?"

Kinclex chuckled rolling his shoulders. "Start a fight? Boy, here, fighting is how we play. It's how we have fun. Besides, even if I did beat you to within an inch of your non-exsistance, I'm not going to kill you." Although that might be an option considering how Maxer kept refusing to fight. Actions spoke louder than words and Kinclex was guessing he was either afraid to fight or he didn't have enough power to beat him.

Kinclex scoffed as Maxer threatened him with Xemnas' warning of becoming a Dusk. Maxer must have really taken him for a fool if he thought that he'd risk going against Xemnas, "Boy, even if I did kill you, Xemnas might just thank me. If I could be so easily replaced, someone so unwilling to actually partake in combat might just be a hinderance instead of a help."

Kinclex was reading his reactions and from thus far, had determined that he wasn't fit for duty in direct combat mission. Reconissance and intellegence support for sure, but combat seemed out of Maxer's depth. Still, he was just one member so who knew how the others would feel in regards to him. Letting his gauntlets dissappear, Kinclex folded his arms and shook his head. "I don't want muffins."

Maxer's face went into a rather annoyed looking '=__=' state. This boy was a dense bloodknight. "I am amazed at you. Your sheer madness rivals my own. Fighting to have fun? You yourself said a nobody can not have anything but their memories!" He said, facepalming.

"And you are an even greater fool! I do not wish to fight my allies! It accomplishes nothing towards our goals! If a Shadow were to pop up right now..." He said, before pausing. "If a Shadow were to pop up right now..." He said again. Still nothing. He glared at Clockwerk. "I SAID! If a Shadow were to pop up right now..."

Still nothing.

"GO AND GET ME A DAMN SHADOW, CLOCKWERK!" He yelled out, startling the large red Nobody. It nodded, before moving through a dark corridor. A few moments later, out emerged the massive beast, a shadow squirming in it's bladed arms. "I would do this." He said, before making a slashing motion with his watch at the heartless. Kinclex would notice the watch change, for barely an instant. It turned into something large, different. Just as quickly, though, it vanished. It was a simple pocket watch again.

Still, whatever it was, it just barely cut the tiny shadow. It was, however, now screaming in incredible agony, screeching as if it had lost a limb. It kept howling like that for roughly 7 second before it suddenly stopped. It was as if nothing had happened.

"I can fight. I am not so foolhardy, though, to fight anything with power. Especially not something useful to the organization." He said with a sigh. "This entire organization isn't about fighting. It's about a goal. Fighting may be involved, but it is not what is most important. Really it would be in our favor to not fight. It would give us the most in the end. But enough talking with you! I grow tired of you, muffin hater! CLOCKWERK! My hat!" He yelled up to the massive angel as it tossed the Shadow off the building as it placed down a fedora hat over his hooded form.

"Goodbye, midnight thunderboy! While the other 11 are feasting on muffiny delight, You can have fun punching whatever bird looks at you funny~" He said, before moonwalking backwards into a dark corridor. He had muffins to get. Clockwerk grunted down at Kinclex. "Sorry. He crazy." The minion grunted as he crossed into it as well, closing it behind the two as they left.
