"Damn. Damn, shit damn fuckity fuck."

Alfred overturned the shard of metal, with a harsh stomp. Some sort of colony of electric-blue squirrels or other odd mutant members of the rodent family scattered in all directions, chittering madly, slipping into the dead bracken.

"...brilliant. I can't turn off the blankity-blank Millenium program. Sensors are going mad. I'm smelling the damn mana in this area. The whole ecosystem is warped, and I'm walking through fog that treats me about as kindly as a flashbang does the human eye. A continuous, bloody unrelenting clusterfuck."

The bioroid stomped again, crunching the sheet underfoot with the sound of a compacting aluminum can. He was ranting aloud, now horribly lost in the Foglands, of all places.

"Wandering --- aimlessly! FANTASTIC! EXCELLENT!"

Every word was punctuated with a fierce stomp. His footfalls now audibly shattered bits of dead bracken. A sharp squeal and crunch punctuated his fit. Alfred curiously lifted his foot, eyeing the blood now tricking away at the sole of his boot. He touched a finger to it, before rasing the glistening digit to his mouth.

"Mm."

The taste seemed to calm him for a moment. He drew the cloak tighter about him (a costume obtained to fit in with the locals), and tore it away from the thick underbrush. He stepped back onto what resembled a path, gravel turning underfoot. Nothing but time for enforced patience and a quick survey of the situation. Alfred was otherwise very on-edge, only pacified for the moment by his murder of what no-doubt was little more than vermin.

Hiro Tsukasa was somewhere in this area. There's no doubt about what the locals have been saying. But was he merely passing through? This place is strong in magic...it makes sense he'd come here.

"Too rich," he grunted. "Can't see."

Alfred turned about, sulkily moving to retrace his steps back to the main road. Perhaps he'd try with a guide next time through.
