Lately it seemed like every time Chizu went out it ended in disaster. Kinclex. The brawl in Durnswurst. Okay, admittedly the brawl in Durnswurst hadn't exactly been bad, but it had been a fight that had opened up her wounds some more. They had healed now, but she was pretty sure that it was because of that brawl that a few of them left scars. Oh well, it wasn't like the rest of her didn't have them. And they weren't too obvious, you'd have to be looking for them to see most of them. One of them, near her elbow, was a pretty obvious slash, but after this Heartless thing, who didn't have scars? All that aside, she was out and about again, despite her misfortune. This time, it was more a bad case of cabin fever than wanting to do anything constructive. She was starting to think that if she spent any more time in her room staring at the wall and listening to Damon not talking, she was going to lose whatever sanity she had left. So she had grabbed her jacket, slung it over her shoulder, and declared that she was going out, and coming back whenever. Hopefully in the same state that she left, although considering she was going to Niwa, she wasn't going to rule out the possibility that she might get into a fight. So far, all seemed quiet though. She walked through the park, her hands in her pockets as she kept a look out for monsters and anyone else that might want to attack her late at night. |

Who could say that the world or rather, the multiverse, was a cruel place? Certainly not Mr. Ambrose, the man was walking good luck. Who else could have survived their destruction of their world as well as survived all the past adventures and perils he had lived through on his home world parallel to EXE, Unity. At one point in his life, he would've been negative about this. The thought of continuing to live above others who could have, Leonardo found himself state of sadness, but he came to realize that his destiny didn't stop there, it would not be stopped by the Heartless and he would live his life as best he could for all those who were left unable to, in their memory. How did coming to Bakuhatsu Park come into play? Well sight-seeing throughout the world certainly would be something he just had to do, and wasn't finished doing. Niwa seemed like an interesting enough place, he wondered why he had barely made his way there. Leon would start in Bakuhatsu Park. Thus sandy-blond haired young man began his walk through the park, his gray-bluish eyes moved rapidly, making sure to get the details of the area as Harpuia was busy playing Internet Poker, apparently he was good at getting that Munny and bored at Leon during such times. Wearing a black muscle shirt and navy pants, the stride his boots could be heard against the concrete and rocks of the ground. His mind raced, with thoughts of many things when suddenly he spotted her walking in his direction on the path, the most beautiful thing in all the Multiverse...Okay maybe not completely true but, she did look cute to him. The woman named Chizu, he had to take advantage of his good luck at it's finest... "Hey it's you...Hiya Chizu." Leon called out to her, his pause was somewhat an attempt to make it seem like he didn't remember her, he didn't want to seem to excited to see her. Coming off too excited probably would have made her feel weird. But at that moment Harpuia heard this and kept watch from Leon's wrist, wanting to poke fun at his NetOp now that he learned Chizu was here and Leon was a typical male specimen.... |

Chizu blinked when she heard someone call her name, stopping in her walk to turn to face him. She looked at him for a moment before it hit her. "Oh, hey, Leon," she said. She always had been pretty good at remembering names, thankfully. It kept her out of some pretty embarrassing situations. Of course, it was remembering to call them by any sort of title that was her weak point. "Sup?" The multiverse really was a small place. Once you knew enough people, it was hard to walk around without running into someone you knew. Still, she was glad that it was just Leon and not some pervert or something. She had really only spoken to him once before, in the library when he was quickly overshadowed by that girl that reminded her of Star...what was her name again? Oh, right, Jennifer. But he seemed alright the last time she talked with him. Chizu turned to face him completely, relaxing her stance a bit. |

Leon waved before coming close, "Nothing much really. Just trying to get some sight seeing done, it's not everyday you realize that this little trip we're all on is going to end some day. Might as well take advantage, no?" Leon said to her, sounding very positive and confident in the fact that there would be an end to this, meaning that everyone would be back home some day. "She remembered your name?! Considering how obscure you must be in her memory, how regular and ugly you look for a human, I commend her. I'm sure she instantly remembered me though. Probably only remembers you cause of me even. Greetings again." Harpuia smartly added in before she could answer, as his Hologram once again showed itself from his wrist. Leon sighed, "...Harpuia...you smartass..." Leon remarked, an annoyed vein could be seen on Leon's head with a some what annoyed yet amused smile, like it was a smart line but annoying of him. "Well, munny doesn't get itself, salutations, for the time being." Harpuia waved before the Hologram showed him on a Poker Table being dealt cards before disappearing, still having his ear out though. Between them seemed a somewhat brotherly relationship really, which was why Leon wasn't mad but he wondered...what exactly she would think of well, him and Harpy...? Then again, it's always hard to pin down what exactly a woman could be thinking...meh. "Don't mind him, he loves poking fun at me." Leon added in with somewhat of a blush yet chuckling at the same time, was this nervous laughter? "No! NOT NERVOUS LAUGHTER! Shit, that damn Harpy getting me a bit nervous T_T" Leon thought to himself. Edited by Zero, Jan 13 2010, 07:30 PM.

Chizu chuckled at Harpuia's comment, relaxing completely relaxing now. "Actually I'm just good with names, uh...Har..pree...a...or something, right?" It was obviously a joke from her tone, Chizu remembered Harpuia's name. And even if she didn't, Leon just said it. She watched as the Navi disappeared, off to play poker. Gambling. It wasn't the way she preferred to make money, but she had been known to make a bet or two. Chizu nodded in sympathy. Aether never did anything like that, but he was still annoying to have around. "I can relate, I have a wind elemental that follows me around. But only other aeromancers can hear him...not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing." |

;"...I can't believe Harpuia's a good wingman,...Wow, that was a bad pun if I ever heard one..." the sandy blond thought after seeing her more relaxed when compared to her previous stance, not only that but she was pretty cool to go along with Harpuia's joke and make her own joke about it. Nodding to her words at having a Wind elemental that was somewhat similar to Harpuia, he remembered the topic of her book from the short glimpse he had gotten. "Ah, so that's why you had that Elemancy book back at the Library." he said, "An Aeromancer. Pretty cool. Of the classical elements I like the wind, since I believe it best symbolizes human emotions. It's the one that is never seen only felt. Yet it can be strong and forceful to calm and gentle." he conveyed to her in a somewhat philosophical voice. "That belief stemmed the reasoning behind me having Harpuia, not to mention that I he was FORCED upon me." affirmed to her, playfully emphasizing that the INBA had forced him to choose between Four Navis, and while he did choose Harpuia, he was somewhat forced into getting him. Harpuia simply retorted with his Hologram showing him winning his hand and his tongue sticking out at Leon while in celebration before leaving Leon to chuckle once more. |

"Huh..." said Chizu, "I never thought about it that way before." Now that she thought about it, when she was first starting out with her aeromancy, the wind had followed her emotions. It was how she discovered that she had power over the wind to begin with. "I guess it makes sense, I mean, back in the beginning the wind used to go along with what I was feeling." ...And not really what I wanted it to do... she added silently, although it seemed like Aether was in the mood to be quiet tonight. She glanced once at the hologram of Harpuia before looking back at Leon. "Forced on you?" she asked. She didn't really know anything about the Navis, other than the fact that they came from EXE. Now that she thought of it, she didn't know anything about the EXE world either. |

"Yes, Harpuia was a gift given to me by the International NetBattle Association, they were the Benefactors and thus Bosses of the Organization I ran doing what Lavender does in Arcadia." Leon told her not wanting to go into too much detail, his story was so complex and long that he did not want to make her brain hurt from the amount of information overload she would get from him if he did get into too much. "Harpuia was created to protect with his brothers and sister, the data of things known as the TetraCodes which were used to create them. Each of the Four Navis were made to represent Classical Element. Given to me as Head of the 'American' NetBattle Association, he became my partner because they believed I could make him reach his potential." Leonardo added in. Of course, he said American instead of Netopian after having done some research on the Hyakuji and Shinya worlds, and finding out that some of their countries were also parallels of the ones from his world like Electopia paralleled Japan. (OOC: I believe it's a bad post +_+ But that's all I got since I am really tired, gonna go to bed) |

Chizu's head was spinning with all the information being given to her. It wasn't the first part, the part about how Leon was leading an organization like Lavender in Arcadia, and how his bosses had given him Harpuia. She got that far. She even understood the second part, about how Harpuia represented one of the classic elements...wind, she guessed, which would make this a really interesting coincidence. She understood the third part, about how they became paired up so that Harpuia could reach his full potential. She got the gist of what Leon was trying to say. It was the terms that threw her off. NetBattle...TetraCodes...what the heck?!? She had always known that the different worlds had some similarities but other differences, but she didn't quite realize just how different worlds like EXE and Florenc--scratch that, she understood Florencia--EXE and Legacy could be. The people that lived there probably lived very different lives from what she was used to. Then again, since she was from Hyakuji, she was pretty much used to anything. At least she understood enough to not be completely lost in the conversation though. "Aether pretty much didn't give me a choice in the matter when he decided to follow me around either. Apparently I was the one that needed to reach my potential, or something like that." She shrugged. She had never really paid much attention to Aether's earlier attempts at conversation. Not much has changed, Chizu. Oh, you shut up. "But your world sounds like it's really different from mine," she said with a small chuckle, "Hyakuji's not what most people would consider normal, but I was a high school student back home." Albeit one in the most insane high school ever, but still, a high school student. |

Leon knew that she wouldn't understand everything he would tell her, the worlds were so varied, there were things he did not understand from her world as well, like how so many people could have obtained so many superhuman abilities, his powers involved transforming into a Navi using the Perfect Delta Navi Routine, using a Gun or knowledge of Mix-Martial Arts while theirs were Elemancing or transforming to demons even sorcery. But, of course he tried his best to stay at their levels of combating threats and at times his knowledge in Software Engineering and growing knowledge in Engineering as a whole could help them as well. "Well, that must mean your a powerful Aeromancer, or at least have the abilities to be one." nodding to her words on the vast differences between their worlds. Harpuia and himself often theorized much about it, but it wasn't anything worth talking about really, the theories were just idle thoughts. "So that means your abilities are normal for High School students?" Leon asked, "That's cool, I'm adding visiting your world as part of my bucket list. I guess, I'm also curious in learning more about you Chizu, like do you have a boyfriend?" Leon added in with a playful wink, of course this was sheer impulse maybe to a fault. At least this would make them learn more about each other. Hapuia was baffled, how out of nowhere did he just spring that to Chizu? "I thought he had strategy...Now he's just a random creeper...Well, let's hope he's better at handling messes like this than Lan Hikari..."] Harpuia thought to himself, remembering the oblivious Hikari... If there was any uncertainty about Leon's intentions, his last sentence cleared that up for her. Unfortunately, it seemed like his intentions had taken secondary importance to the question itself. Chizu's eyes widened and she stiffened as if she had been struck by a physical blow, immediately clenching her fists and looking away. The question provoked a set of thoughts and emotions that she had been trying to repress since finding Damon, and figuring out that neither Kaede nor Coryn were anywhere to be found. Memories rushed through her head so fast she couldn't attempt to stop them, memories of snow, and warmth, and hesitant confessions, and memories of blood running in rivulets down the shrine steps, and terror, and rage, and loss. Especially loss. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and took a deep breath as she tried to compose herself. She couldn't go to pieces, not here. There were enough questions about her emotional stability already without her having a meltdown in the middle of a park. So, she looked up at Leon. "Yes...and no..." she said, finally, quietly. "I haven't...seen him since the Heartless." That was partly true. She hadn't seen him since summer. Since he had been forced to go home...because of her carelessness. If he was with her then...when the Heartless attacked, then maybe...maybe he would be with her now. But that was a failure she was just going to have to live with for the rest of her life. |

Well, that topic certainly seemed like a Pandora's Box, which Leon threw open almost without a care in the world. To this, was certainly not the best course of action from seeing her first reaction of seeing her eyes widen and stiffening as she turned away while clenching her fists. Leon could not help but sense it, she had been running away and keeping it at the back of her mind or something because at speaking of it such a horrible reaction. To think he would make old wounds cut deeper, he felt horrible. It was a bittersweet moment, seeing her compose herself and look back at him with the word "Yes...and no...I haven't...seen him since the Heartless." She was trying to be strong, Leon couldn't help but commend her silently. "Ah...I understand...my world shared a similar fate and I have yet to find a single other person from my world..." Leon responded as he put his hand on her shoulder, "I'm sure, he'd be happy your alright. Maybe a little proud that your keeping a strong front." Leon said with a very warm smile on his face, "But remember what happens after putting a water bottle in the freezer, it'll burst soon enough. Don't do the same to your emotions" he finished sounding a little concerned on her emotional state, loss was a horrible thing to deal with...but what's worse is not truly knowing if your was even dealing with loss... |

Chizu scrubbed at her eyes with the heel of her hand, as if she had something in them. She hoped that the gesture would speak for itself, because if she said there was something in them, it would make her a very bad liar. She took a quick deep breath to keep herself from crying. Not here. Not now. She wasn't a crybaby anymore. She wasn't. But she had been keeping those emotions locked up for such a long time, and Leon had all of a sudden just opened the lid. It was hard to force everything back down, to go back to acting like they were having a normal conversation after all of that. "I..." she began, pausing suddenly when she noticed that her voice was shaky. When she spoke again, her voice was steadier. "Sorry...it's...just...nothing..." she said, somewhat lamely. It wasn't nothing, anyone with eyes could see that. Her fists were clenched so tightly that her nails were digging into her palm, and she looked as though she was close to tears...like she was holding on to a fragile thread of control that could snap at any moment. That probably would snap with just another small shove in the wrong direction. In the end, Chizu could act tough all she wanted. Because on the inside, she really was more fragile than she looked. Leon noticed she had motioned her hand to rub against her eyes, his heart sank a little yet he knew she needed the release. She needed a shoulder to cry on and he would be that shoulder, as his friend Harpuia had helped him. Hearing her first speak after this, this set into reality. Finishing her sentence, Leon's simply wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace, laying her head down onto his shoulder gently. "Chizu...let it out...Let it all out." Leon whispered into her ear, in the most tender and compassionate of voices. Leon genuinely and wholeheartedly wanted to be there for Chizu. "Human men and women, how interesting are their interactions with one another...How you can see them in such a different way, so drastically fast..." Harpuia thought to himself as he simply paid attention what was going on. It was a very interesting turn of events. |

Chizu's hand came between them as he moved to hug her, a half-hearted attempt to push her away. She should have. She would have, had it not been for what he said. Those words took her back to an earlier time and place, when it was also night, and she was standing in front of her sister's grave in the same situation. Her eyes closed and she took a deep rattling breath, the tears she was holding back escaping from under closed eyes and falling down her cheeks. She had never let it out. She never had a chance to, because she knew what the result would be. She had seen it before, before the fight against Kaito, and she knew that the world didn't need her to be like that. But here...she just wanted to break. Just letting go and breaking down like she had always done was tempting...so tempting. She didn't realize she was pulling closer, or sobbing softly. She just wanted to get away, to leave the world for the people that lived in it. She was tired of it. Tired of always being the one who lost. She would let go of the world. The feeling of a single band of fabric around her wrist stopped her. She could feel it there more acutely than she had ever felt it before. She had almost forgotten about it, about the single blue ribbon. And she remembered what that symbolized. Strength. Inner strength. The strength that Kaede would give her until she could find it for herself. She took a breath, another shaky rattling breath, and slowly withdrew, placing her hand on Leon's chest and pushing gently. She hoped that by not pushing abruptly, it would show that she did appreciate the gesture, and she wasn't mad, but that she felt it was just time to back away. The hand, she realized, was the same hand that had the blue ribbon on it. She looked up at him and took a deep breath, slowly wiping the tears from her eyes. "I lost my family," she admitted, quietly. "So my friends were my family. But...I don't think it would be a credit to them if I went to pieces here." Each word seemed to make her stronger, giving her new strength. She was still sad. She was still in pain. She still felt grief. Tears still ran freely down her face as she looked at him. But that would not break her. Not this time. Because she decided now, that she was a different person. For herself and for them, she would fix this. And this would never happen again. "Can we...sit?" she asked, looking back at one of the benches. She would let it out. She would talk. But it wouldn't break her. She wouldn't let it. |
