god helps the ones that can't help themselves this is the beginning may be too late as far as I can tell this is the beginning we think we've come so far on all our lies we depend we face our consequence this is the beginning of the end Aboard the Nadesico bridge (post Commander Tsukasa's leave) alarms began to go off as the entire room flashed red. It seemed as if something had gone severely wrong. ![]() "Captain," Haruka began, "It seems the Nadesico's been infected with some sort of virus. It's currently racing through our systems and trying to infect Omoikane. It seems like it's trying to gain control of the ship itself!" "This'll be my job," Hiro (EXE) suddenly spoke up. He'd been standing at the back of the bridge with several others that had been brought aboard but the convenient arrival of a computer virus flagged something in Hiro's mind. Quickly, he pulled forth his PET and ran up to one of the bridge's terminals connecting it. "Just like I thought," Hiro (EXE) concluded as he checking the readings on his PET, "The Zero Virus. This is what I was hunting for. Hey, if any of you that came aboard have PETs then send you Net Navis in and give me a hand." Hiro (EXE) called back to the few left on the bridge that wasn't its usual crew. "Also," Haruka added, "We've dealt with computer issues before. We can digitize some of you into data and send you inside to help as well if anyone is willing to go. Regardless of who else came Hiro (EXE) intended to do his best even if it meant fighting alone. Within the network of the Nadesico's computer suddenly Hiro's Net Navi Zero.exe appeared. ![]() Looking around slowly decay was everywhere and viruses were running rampant. At the far end of the area stood another Navi that seemed similar to Zero.exe in design except he glowed with a flaming purple aura. "Auhahah," The Zero Virus wailed, "DELETE! DELETE! EVERYTHING MUST BE DELETED!" Shouting maniacally it drew forth its own Z-Saber and began to slash at the firewalls set in place blocking it from reaching the core of the Nadesico's computer.

"Oi, Motor Mouth! Get the heck away from the firewalls!" WHOOOOSH! A incredibly large, and very heavy metal mallet was launched with a powerful overhand throw, ready to bash the Zero Virus dead-on with explosive force. "You know, I was ready to bust some of those orc heads down there, by blasting away with this ship's arsenal. And then you showed up and spoiled my fun. I hope this ship has a Thyrium power supply to keep afloat." Kyra placed her tossing arm back by her left hip, knowing full well that even though she was up against a Z-Saber, her weapon could not be destroyed or sliced open. Turning to Zero, she grinned awkwardly upon realization. "Hello again, Master Zero. I assume you and Hiro had a very, very, very good reason why you haven't contacted the ONB in so long? We could need your help in rebuilding the Mother Computer after all this." "What are you waiting for? Push the enemy down and crush his skull." "No, no, strike him around for a bit. Cut him in the neck and thighs." "Absurd, just rip him apart with your hands. No one will care." These three voices were inside her head, being transmitted telepathically by her unsummoned Keyblade. Of course, she ignored their cries to chop the Zero Virus into chop suey. Better to guage this new foes strength before using her new power against him. |

Netto had decided to board the big ship when it appeared in the sky. After all, Glasses Guy was quick to board, and where a legendary NetSavior goes, he's inclined to follow. The attack by the Zero Virus is not entirely unexpected. Spectrum: Heh...what better way to take out a ship than to hack into its systems? Netto: So it would seem. So, you gonna let them get away with it? Spectrum: Heck no! Plug me in somewhere, I'll show those creeps what's what! Netto smirks and jacks Spectrum directly into the control deck. This proves to be a moderate distance away from where the battle was taking place, but Spectrum quickly closes the distance. Pulling out an AirSword, Spectrum grins as he reaches Zero and Kyra. Spectrum: What's this? The enemies actually have a Navi on their side? Wait, no...on closer inspection, that's a ZetaVirus. The original ZetaVirus, if I'm not mistaken. Spectrum's grin widens. Spectrum: The Zero Virus...data ripe for the harvest. Netto! Free me up a slot! Spectrum holds his right arm into the air, a bracelet appearing on it with five red lights evenly spaced around it. Even light is in the center of a data storage compartment. Netto opens a direct link to his Viral Containment Unit, transferring the data from one of the compartments in the VCU, causing the light on that compartment to turn green. Spectrum: Graçias. Having prepared a chamber for the Zero Virus' data, Spectrum dashes forward and prepares for battle. He does not immediately launch an attack of his own, though, instead summoning a Soldier-type Heartless to do the honors. The Soldier continues running where Spectrum stops, and attempts to kick the Zero Virus in the face. "kek kek kek," the Zero Virus began to laugh but the glitchy nature of his voice made it sound almost more like clicks than true laughter, "I'M GOING TO DELETE EVERYTHING!" Shouting with madness its body began to glitch and flicker through serveral movement patterns before the Zero Virus turned and held out a hand spewing out odd green liquid showering it over the few heartless that had been rushing him and the mallet. The green spray instantly deleted the mallet and to the heartless it stopped them dead in their tracks dissolving them quickly as if it were some sort of digital acid. Laughing the Zero Virus stepped towards the defeated heartless and reached down touching the only one that had partially survived. Upon his touch the shadow began to change and slowly reformed into a solid black copy of the Zero Virus. "I don't have time to play with you, I'm busy," The Zero Virus explained, "but a copy should be fine..." Finishing this the Zero Virus returned to the series of firewalls sealing off the Nadesico's computer system and began to hack away once more with his z-saber. Meanwhile, Zero.exe laughed at Kyra's charge about he and his Net Op's constant dissaperances. "Consider us the ONB's shadow," Zero.exe said with a laugh as he readied his own z-saber, "There are things that need to be done at times to protect our world that being an official ONB member, let alone a net savior in the limelight, won't allow. Now come on and let's finish this thing. Show me how far the ONB has progressed in my absence." As Zero.exe explained this the Zero Virus Copy raised its own z-saber and swung it sending forth several blasts of energy all arcing in their own curved paths rushing at the Navis present. However, unfortunately for Kyra the person that happened to be roleplaying her and their Net Op thought it would be smart to accost the person running this storyline about their post and be a bit rude over it rather than simply seeking clarification. So regrettably a second clone of the Zero Virus popped up behind Kyra out of nowhere and slashed through the navi in a single stroke of its Z-Saber which would have deleted the net navi on the spot were it not for the auto-forced log out that occurred. Of course, she auto-logged in a minute later, getting her barings straight with a deep sigh of relief. After all, by that time, the energy blasts would have completely missed her upon log-out. Still bugged her that the Z-Saber was able to deal that much damage though. "When you say that you plan to delete everything, that also includes your copies and yourself, correct? After all, you and everything here exists, therefore you must delete yourself once you delete everything. Heck, even your sword is made of energy, which is a thing that exists. Thus it should be destroyed because everything must be deleted. What is programmed must be obeyed without question, to doubt my words shows that you defy your programming to delete everything." A new mallet formed in Kyra's outstretched claw, in which she smiled oddly towards Zero. Without thinking, Kyra swung the newly formed mallet down upon the Zero Virus that nearly took her out with explosive power behind it, the force of impact and the size and weight of the oil barrel-sized hammer would be like a Hippo sitting on a Hamster. "Spectrum, self-destruct the Heartless Zero Copy. Even transformed, it should have a failsafe installed so others can't take control over it." She ordered plainly, feeling nothing but cheerfulness that she would crush the copy into pulp since it was unlikely it could also use the acid attack. "Also, you ain't getting away that easy for such a sneak attack." Awhile swinging down, her other claw shifted into a ZapRing1 pulse blaster, which fired the superfast blast of electricity towards the real Zero Virus awhile his back was turned. It would be rather weak of him to send his own copy to take the attack if it meant that he would be completely unguarded to the other two's attacks. Spectrum: ...how many Heartless did I summon just now? Netto: One Soldier. Spectrum: And how many Heartless did the Zero Virus just kill? Netto: All of them, save for...one...Shadow? Spectrum: ...that's what I thought. Any idea where the rest of the Heartless came from? Netto: ...no? Spectrum: ...in any case, it wasn't MY Shadow that got possessed, and even if it were, I couldn't just make it self-destruct. Heartless do not work that way...except maybe Minute Bomb, but that's a different story. Netto: By the way, maybe you should do something about those energy beams flying at you? Spectrum: What energy-- Spectrum slashes apart a pair of sword beams with his AirSword. Spectrum: Oh, you meant the SonicBooms. Right, sure, no problem. Now to get rid of the copy. Netto: Summoning more Heartless for him to possess would be counter-productive. Spectrum: Indeed. We'll have to do this manually. Spectrum vanishes and reappears between the Zero Virus and the firewalls, blocking the ZetaVirus' blade with his hand and deflecting it to the side. He then swings his arm back around, launching three SonicBooms in quick succession, all point-blank, followed immediately by slashing with his AirSword. Spectrum: Back off! Get your own sandwich! Netto sweatdrops at the reference to a very old sandwich commercial. Having not used his built-in weapons this round, Spectrum is able to charge up a Bubbler for later, which he does. As Kyra's mallet impacted down on the CopyVirus bright light shot out as it was deleted. Meanwhile as the volley of fire from the ZapRing1 blasted towards the real ZeroVirus it let out a short sigh and turned around slashing wildly with the Z-Saber and deflecting each blast effortlessly before returning to his work. However, his work was immediately interrupted by another Net Navi. Frowning as its blade was deflected the Virus vanished immediately as the point-blank sonicbooms began. Seconds later the ZeroVirus appeared again this time in the center of those gathered halfway between where Kyra still was and the Firewall on the other side. "I understand now," it spoke in a broken crackling voice, "I'll have to delete the foreign elements first. Come, fight me at your full potential. Let me show you the despair of being unable to surpass an opponent." Laughing the ZeroVirus materialized a second Z-Saber and was now dual wielding them. |

Spectrum: ...what was THAT? Some sort of delay-effect AreaGrab?? Spectrum blinks a few times, then shakes his head. Spectrum: Whatever. You're still perfectly vincible. Spectrum fires his charged-up Bubbler at the Zero Virus, followed quickly by an invisible CrossBall--a Weather Ball formation that had a good balance of range and power. The latter was fired at the panel directly beneath the Zero Virus, so it would still explode even if it missed. (OOC: You can't deflect or destroy ZapRings, Hiro. Either you dodge or you don't. They paralyze the second you come in contact.) "The only thing foriegn is you. You are a thing. Things must be deleted. Remember? If you plan on talking like that, do what you are programmed and erase what makes you foreign." Kyra countered, nodding towards the normal Zero. With that, she ran straight at him before going into a high-flying, explosively painful frontal kick to the face. Only, the foot part where the toes were transformed into a Air Sword at the last second, curving out in a sudden swipe to slice the Zero Virus's head in half horizonally (since the additional length was added as a result, which would take anyone by surprise. "In fact, how about I shut you up for that cheap move? Tanuki TRICK!" Custom: 2 |
