Zorc roared swinging his fist to intercept the spinning one again. Only this time it was the Hyakuzors. However before he could hit the ground under it's foot shifted and suddenly a drill began digging into his foot. This forced his entire mass to shift place. The fist spun right by his and instead impacted on his shoulder causing a massive explosion of blood. Zorc roared in pain. But this was not the end of it. A beam of energy broke through his own blast and managed to dig right into his chest. Zorc had no time for aiming. SO instead he unleashed a series of lightning blasts from the sky, one after another. To push everyone away. He raised his leg with the drilling train in it and slammed his foot through a building to try and dislodge it. It seemed like his regenerative powers had been spread pretty thin.. the wounds were healing more slowly now. |

Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.
|
The Necklace of Wind took a breath. It hadn't been activated consciously. It sensed that its wearer was about to break through her limits and activated itself to protect her. Erin had quickly begun to draw the air together to create dense spheres of air in the space above and away from Hyakuzor. In contrast with normal air, the denser spheres of air would create a more conductive area that would draw the lightning to it, like series of weak lightning rods arranged in lines. It wasn't something she would be able to do normally against an electricity user, but because the lightning was coming from the sky, the only thing that was there was air. So a lightning rod of any force would be sufficient. She had to take advantage of the large distance and create the spheres high above the battlefield. As long as she kept them far enough away from the Hyakuzor, they wouldn't make the jump. The net of spheres created a grid in the sky covering the space above the battlefield that would draw the lightning strikes to outlying areas. Sweat matted the girl's hair as her hands trembled over the controls. All of the energy she had to move was used to stop herself from screaming. It was less than a second before the spheres began to burst and redisperse themselves one after another. She couldn't keep up the defensive grid for very long. Probably not even 5 seconds, but enough to mount an attack. If hitting Zorc with enough force would stop the lightning strikes, then she figured she would be okay. If otherwise, or if an effective enough attack wasn't made...she wasn't sure what would happen to her. The spheres being created were the same ones she used for her air blast attack. When she was using that, she could only create two spheres at a time before she lost the ability to release them in a controlled direction. In addition, she could only create the spheres about five meters away from herself. The number of spheres she had created for the grid was probably close to a hundred, and they were hundreds of meters away from her. After the first second, less than fifty remained. They were bursting like translucent green fireworks. Erin didn't even have a tenth of the power to do what she was trying to do. But it was something she had to do, for Arcadia, and more importantly, for Hyakuji. Perhaps not for Hyakuji itself, but for Erin's Hyakuji. "Don't you dare...tarnish...my memories...of this place!!" The lighting was less of a threat than the previous beam blast, enough that all Kouta needed to do was put up the Compatikaiser's patented E-Field, the yellow barrier surrounding the red and gold unit and protecting it from harm, and as such, Kouta would smash the button that unleashed the golden mounts on the Kaiser's shoulders and legs to break off and fly up, combining into a massive cross shaped weapon. "KAISER BOOMERANG!" Kouta roared out as he quickly caught and threw the giant boomerang right at Zorc. At best though it wouldn't do more then make a major cut, but Kouta seemed to be setting up for something as the Overgate engine kicked into overdrive... |

It worked! The ZeroLiner's mighty drill pierced Zorc's skin, drilling rather deeply into his foot and causing the massive beast to stumble backwards before slamming his foot through a building to dislodge them. It worked; the ZeroLiner tore free from him, plummeting a few meters before the helicopter blades popped out and stopped their fall. When Zeronos had a chance to catch their bearings, they noticed that now there were not one but two massive robots who appeared to be on their side. It was now almost comical how small and weaponless the ZeroLiner was in comparison to the likes of the Compatible Kaiser and Hyakuzor. Neither Taiga nor Ryuuji would soon forget that fact... but for now, the ZeroLiner was all they could rely on! It's working, look! Taiga thought out loud to Ryuuji, noticing that what had begun as nigh-instantaneous regeneration was now becoming ever slower. Zorc's foot and other wounds were still healing, but not quickly enough. If we could combine an attack... "Agreed! Let's try it, then!" Ryuuji turned the ZeroLiner, soaring away from Zorc to take a position between the CompatiKaiser and Hyakuzor. Using the megaphone--and hoping that whoever was piloting those massive robots could hear--he called out to his compatriots. "Everyone! It's almost working! If we can all focus our attacks at one point, at the same time... we should be able to defeat this beast! Let's combine our strengths!" All the ZeroLiner had was its slicing blades, which Zorc had repelled earlier. But if it was being attacked by all three at once, it shouldn't be able to repel everything! It all depended on teamwork! Edited by Ayane Isuzu, Jan 26 2010, 07:06 AM.

Alright, not off to a great start. Still, if one attack did not work,t he best thing to do was escalation. In this case? He was seriously considering just blasting the damned demond straight back to hell with Omni Drivers. But no. That would probably not work. Instead, he decided to just take this simple. Damon initiated the Blast Cutter, yanking out the sword from Hyakuzor's chest. Not my style, but.... He thought to himself, before letting Hyakuzor take a heavy handed downward slash at Zorc. Hopefuly this sword could do well enouch to bring some major pain. |

Erin would find that her powers were suddenly increased, the strain and fatigue lessened and suddenly her power amplified. The lightning bolts were sent into the swirling vortexes of wind in the sky, being absorbed and weakened into nothing. The lightning strikes faded and finally they would once more be able to focus on their foe.. The reason for this power increase would be the same as the reason Hyakuzor suddenly got more powerful mid-swing as Damon attacked with the blade. Hyakuzor had entered overdrive mode. Jameson groaned under the strain, rather than having it disperse evenly, his powerful mental abilities made him more apt for this sort of thing. "Let's.. Do as the train said..!" Jameson said firmly. "Let's unleash our ultimate attack.. We'll break through..." He glanced to Erin. "Create an opening.... You have the power to protect this whole city on your own.. Now use that power to take it on the offensive!" "After all, you're our defensive pilot right? And the best defense is a good offense!" Jameson said with a cocky shit-eating grin. "We'll kick his ass in one blow!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Zorc roared out in rage. The sword attacks weren't easy to deflect. Hyakuzor had increased it's power.. .But how?! That didn't happen last time did it? Wait.. Right near the end...! The boomerang hit hard but he had to turn this around..! He reached out grabbing the sword and boomerang with his bare hands. He was pouring all his power into this attack. He drew in all the darkness and chaos energy before turning it back on all three units in an enormous black blast of raw energy. This was his most powerful assault yet. This was pretty much a last ditch effort of dumping enormous power on his foes.. |

This wasn't good, the E-Field was weaker this time since Kouta had been dividing the Compatikaiser's energy for his final attack. As such, the red and gold machine was sent stumbling back but didn't fall, it had braced itself for most of the impact. Most of the attack was buffered thanks to the barrier but it only stopped the largest brunt of the wave...and Kouta was pinned trying to block it all...! "Not yet...this won't stop us, right partner!? Come on! Let's show this bastard what we're really made of...!" he cried out, the right hand glowing with all the energy he had left, it was risky to charge in while he was under fire...but there wasn't much of a choice left. And it seemed the Kaiser agreed with him...and for some reason with the world turning back ever so slowly, Kouta's Kuuga garb had been replaced with his old Roa Armor. ![]() "UOOOOOOH! BREAK THROUGH! KAISER TORNADOOOOOOO!" And so, despite the enormous wave a darkness, Kouta punched through, the right hand glowing with a green spiraling energy, aiming to drive it right through Zorc no matter the cost! |

Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.

"I have the power...to protect the city..." I've never been in control of this much power before. Up until this point I was barely able to hurt a Shadow. My air blasts wouldn't do more than stun Soldiers, and even against an Air Soldier at best I could destabilize its flight path. Now I'm piloting a giant robot, fighting something I never could have imagined existing before today. Did Hyakuji students really fight something like this in the past? I would have been a second year now if it weren't for the heartless, so I wouldn't know. I haven't been around long enough. But I do know that this thing has been defeated before. It's not invincible. So we can defeat it. The air is strewn about after my last action. I have to organize it again. It's just simple expansion of influence to align the wind. I reorder everything. The variant air gains a uniform speed and a uniform direction. The winds that were blowing in every direction become calm. Wind speed zero meters per second, direction non applicable. Everything is primed for my attack. Focus on the enemy. I ask the air around him to resist his movement, and it obliges. Any movement he makes will be through air that's thicker than water. But that won't be enough against something like Zorc. It would at best marginally slow him down. He could still survive at this rate. So I have to do more. This is just the setup for an attack that will do what I need it to do. The air in front of Hyakuzor gathers. It's the same as my normal air blast attack, just bigger. I'm sure I can do it. A greenish sphere of air forms. Usually when I use Impact, the preliminary spheres I make are little more than 10 centimeters or so in diameter. But something like that would barely register on a being like Zorc. So I have to make it bigger. 10 meters? 50? 100? I don't know. I'll just keep going until I can't make it any bigger without killing myself. The sphere reaches a full meter. The greenish tint of the air is almost opaque, a signifier of the remaining force that can be expanded. It's the largest attack I've ever made and I've barely begun. I'm watching the sphere expand in slow motion as more and more air gathers. Is it going so slow because my brain is breaking down? I don't know. I don't really care either, to be honest. Only a second has passed. The sphere is 5 meters in diameter now, and expanding at an increased rate. 10 meters, 15 meters, 20 meters, 30 meters. The edges of my vision become dark. Parts of my body are trailing into airy wisps before pulling back into solid form. I'm overdrawing myself. Even with Overdrive, my power isn't infinite. Moreover, just five seconds ago I did something that probably would have killed me otherwise, and now I'm doing it again. Possibility of permanent damage is secondary. Give full attention to defeating the enemy. It's ready. The sphere of air reached a diameter of 55 meters in 2 seconds. It's about as big as Hyakuzor. Zorc should still be slowed down by the air around him. So it will hit. It has to hit. The attack doesn't have to destroy him. It just has to be strong enough to knock him off his feet. After that, the attacks of my teammates are practically guaranteed hits. The attack is larger than anything I've ever executed before. But the methodology is still the same. Lower wind speed to 0 meters per second. Collect air around a single point. Stabilize air in spherical form. Target enemy. Release air in controlled direction. "Here I go." The spherical membrane is ruptured at a singular point, and the entire thing pops like a balloon. Every ounce of the air within assails Zorc at over a hundred meters per second. "I have the power...to protect Hyakuji...!!!" |

Well this was quite the little turn of events. Damon smirked as Erin promptly unleashed hell on Zorc. Now it was his turn, it seemed. "Alright Zorc, say hello to your pals down in hell." He said with a mischievious grin. He pulled up the schematics on Hyakuzor on a side screen, making quick notes on it. Alright, the controls for the ultimate attack, the Omni-Driver, would send the command straight to the weapons. He did some quick calculations in his head before he decided to hell with it. If it worked or it it didn't it wouldn't matter. All that mattered was blasting Zorc to pieces, so it would have to work. He raised on hand, allowing it to change to light. "Bring this world back to how it's supposed to be, Hyakuzor. OMNI DRIVEEEER!" He said before slamming the hand down on the firing button. With any luck, the mecha would fire off a massive blast atthe beast....hopefully, instead of the normal green one, one of white light from it's pilots. |

"All right, this is it! Together, with everyone, we'll finish this! Let's do it!" Ryuuji called out, revving the throttle on the Machine ZeroHorn motorcycle and to tilt the ZeroLiner forward towards Zorc! Covered by the massive assault of Hyakuzor and Compatible Kaiser, the ZeroLiner flew unimpeded right into Zorc, going full force blade-first into the massive demon's chest! If the timing was right, if everyone's emotions and determination came through... this would finish everything. RIP HIM APART!!! |

Zorc roared violently... A maligne entity, spending years sealed away waiting for the seven artifacts to be gathered so that he could be free. He finally achieved his desire and been unleashed upon the world. Only for Hyakuji to ruin it.. That day... Back then.. Zorc had felt a prick at his mind. A tingling. Some arrogant fool was trying to attack the mind of a GOD?! How laughable! He focused, sending his mind into the boys, filling it with madness and chaos. Ripping apart logic and reason. It was almost entertaining how simple it had been.. Then he felt it. Zorc turned just in time, a massive beam of light slammed into his eye, ripping it apart. Attacks poured in one after another. The students had all timed it together. The HUMANS had all timed it together. The mental attack was a distractions. Zorc staggered back, where was the fool who'd summoned him?! He wanted to live.. To be complete! He found him.. fighting a loosing battle with a robot and wizard..?! Zorc activated the magic Bakura had invoked. Seals appeared, consuming Bakura.. Zorc was... Complete! He basked in this victory as all his wounds healed. As the students retreated, completely at a loss... And then... Hyakuzor appeared. Piloted by three students it was stronger, and his power was still emerging! With more time! He could... With more time he could win! One more chance! One more opportunity! One more do-over! ONCE MORE! No. He had appeared to them now, and they were stronger than Hyakuji back then. Back then they had barely defeated him. This time..? They had utterly destroyed him. His darkness attack was ripped through by Compatible Kaiser's attack. Meanwhile the other two roared in a full strength. He expended everything to continually regenerate himself enough to endure,. but it didn't work. The three attacks carved a path right through him splitting him in two... His two halves froze in mid-air. Dissolving into nothing. His eyes turned. He felt something familiar... A presence.. Jameson stood form the cockpit, panting and breathing irregularly. "That was for my eye...." "..." Jameson looked around. "Bitch!" "What....?" Zorc said before the last of him shattered into smoke. "Damn straight." Jameson said turning. However the Hyakuzor he was looking at was turning into light. "Uhm.. Might be time to abandon all rides from this world. It seems killing Zorc has made them.. I don't really know?" He opened up his wrist communicator and summoned the Arc Angel. It raised itself to the height of the cockpit and parked in front of them. "Guys... Before we go.." Jameson smiled at them both. "I know this battle is long.. And you've both experienced a lot of hardships along the way.. But you both did great. I feel confidence leaving Hyakuji's future in the hands of such strong kids.." He turned, facing the dark clouds ahead. "Whether I graduate or.... " He looked down and hesitated.. "Or whatever happens... My journey is almost over." He turned back to them. "I'm confident in you guys.. When I look at you I know Hyakuji will never loose." He said before hopping over to the Arc Angel. The city around them was changing, at least part of the city had stopped being Hyakuji and turned back into Shinya. "Let's end this." He said turning his eyes to where Dieu had created the three barriers. Only two remained. His body was weary, but his resolve never faded. "Oh shit.." Jameson turned to the others. "The Arc Angel is telling me Lavender's in critical condition! If she's down I can only imagine the kids there are in deep shit..!" He glanced to them. "..." He set the arc angel to create a portal in front of them. "This leads home... Where I'm heading is just more fighting... If you still want to do this. If you WANT to, then come with me. Otherwise use that.." "It's always been your decision. I can't make them for you." Edited by Cypriss, Feb 7 2010, 02:30 PM.

Erin gives a tired smile as Zorc is defeated. But the fatigue she's incurred catches up with her almost instantly once the adrenaline stops flowing. The overboost mode of Hyakuzor, which saps the lifeforce of its pilot, causing extreme physical and mental damage, along with two aeromancery attacks that required hundreds of times more power than she would have normally, and would have killed her in any other situation. The Necklace of Wind is almost drained...once it runs out...I'll probably pass out... she thought, It won't last long enough to carry me through another fight...I've got to... The girl slowly exited the disintegrating Hyakuzor, moving slowly towards the portal. The necklace of wind usually lasted longer, but Erin had tapped further into it than usual with overboost going. It wouldn't even last half a minute more, and once it ran out, so would she. She was a bit saddened to see Hyakuji go away again, but she knew it was for the better. She was happy at least that she had finally been able to help, after being useless in so many fights. |

The ZeroLiner, with the help of everyone, tore through Zorc. It was done. They had won against incredible odds, despite a complete lack of preparation for something so... gargantuan. Next time they would be more properly prepared, but for now... everyone had done it. Finally, the world had been saved. Even as they hovered in midair, the city around them was changing back to the way it was before Zorc had invaded it. It was over. "Thank you... everyone," Ryuuji spoke, then turned the ZeroLiner away. It was time to return home. Their transformation wouldn't last forever, and their work here was done. There was no shame in returning to BOARD after all they'd been through. As such, without further acknowledgement, the ZeroLiner vanished into a portal of its own. Its pilots would have a time to rest, time to work out a plan for the next massive catastrophe... |

Damon didn't even need to think on this. As soon as he set foot on the Arc Angel he changed his physical form into light. "I can not tire. I can not rest. I will fight these heartless until they are dead or I am. He said simply, walking past the portal and off to the side. "Just point the way. I'll break as many as I can, as fast as I can." He said, looking back down on the city. This part was saved. This was good, yes. But this entire situation was not done yet. There were still parts of this town not saved. His eyes narrowed. This fight would not be done with until the entire town was safe. And he was going to ensure that even if it killed him. |

"...goodbye aibou." Kouta said solemnly as ended up on the Arc Angel after everything was done. All he could do was simply watch from above as Hyakuji returned to Shinya, and subsequently, he was forced to watch the Compatikaiser disappear before him once again. Still, that was but the first step: there was still more enemies out there and Dieu was still at large. "Please, don't count me out so soon." Kouta mused as he turned towards Jameson, merely handing him the Evoker he dropped a thread ago. "And I think you dropped this." |
