"Oh I'm a senior too! At least I'll know someone then"

She said to Max with a smirk as she listened to him explain how long he'd been here. He seemed like he was forced to come here as well. She wondered if everyone that came here was forced, if anyone actually came here willingly. She looked at Max again when he said something about making his brother angry. But they were meeting in a cemetery? That meant one of two things, he was a gothic/morbid person or he was dead. She would find that out later because right when she was about to ask Hiro began talking.

She looked at Hiro, and wondered why he was staying here if he didn't want to flirt, but when he explained that he was a teacher she figured that was the reason. She knew the woods could be dangerous but in a place where everyone had powers both good and evil there were probably people out there that were worse than she was.

"A teacher? I think I'm enrolled in that class"

She said, not quite sure of her schedule since she left her room before she even got in it.

"Yeah. It'll be nice to have someone else to talk to while I pretend to listen to Hiro's speeches." Max smirked back, already poking fun at the situation. Of course he was in his friend's class, not just because of the relationship, but since it was a course credit he needed to pass and he had failed to take it in his previous years. All of this was just a very happy coincidence for the teenager.

He was silent for a moment, pondering of his next choice of words and took off his glasses, placing them on the rocks beside him, splashing water on his face, to make himself feel a bit more awake than he should. Groaning slightly, Max gazed over at the figure of Kayla, having a vibe that she wasn't quite as interesting in speaking with him as opposed to Hiro. mentally shaking his head, he leaned back against the edge of the lake and looked up into the sky.

The trees stood so tall, that the sun could barely shine through to the lake, giving the area a more calming feel to the already peaceful woods around them. "Nah, my brother always seems to know. I forgot to go one day, and woke up the next day with a pain in my back. He's vengeful, I think." Max muttered softly, closing his eyes as his head rested backwards.

"Well be safe in class," Hiro said with a slight laugh to Kayla's comment, "Things get out of hand and usually dangerous quite often." In truth, after the loss of Hyakuji Hiro had come to realize that he missed teaching a good deal more than he ever thought.

"It's important to honor the memory of family members," Hiro added onto what Max had said, "The guy that deals with ghosts all the time would know." He laughed again as he tilted his head away from them and stared up at the sky.

It had been such a random encounter for a simple walk in the woods. Hiro wasn't suprised, however, given how things usually went for him. It seemed he was always racing from one surprise encounter to the next.

"Dangerous? What kind of powers do you guys have?"

She asked with genuine curiosity. She had never met anyone with powers besides her, and her parents weren't even sure how she had gotten them. She felt like the boys were speaking in riddles, and that was mostly because she was completely new here. A regular to this school.. this place would have known Hiro was a teacher or what happened to Max's brother.

She followed suit with the boys and laid back, though she ended up resting her head on Hiro's leg as she looked up at the thigh as well. Even in the short time of knowing her he would know that there was no sexual intentions behind the movement, his leg was just where she would have laid her head anyway.

She probably got off on the wrong foot with both of them, with flirting with a future teacher and having Max walk over on her in nothing but her underwear. She suddenly felt bad about the whole situation. And these were the kind of mood swings she experienced from a day to day basis, they just happened to walk in on the end of one mood and beginning of another.

"It's so weird that there's so many people out there with powers.."

"That's why Hyakuji is here. To give shelter to those who have powers. Granted, there are normal people, and geniuses, but the main deal is people with super natural abilities. I'm warning you now, stay the hell away from Phys.Ed." Max spoke lazily, finding himself to sound a bit much like a bill board, advertising the school itself. Maybe it'd be a way to make a quick buck, the school was getting a bit crowded.

Max got out of the water, and made sure that his lower half was dry, or the demonstrations of his powers would turn out to be a bit chaotic. Wiping off most of the water with his jacket, he turned to Kayla with a knowing smirk. "Watch closely." He spoke, as he turned to a boulder that were stationed around the lake for decoration. "You could say I have two sides to my coin. One half is purely hard work, having taking tons of martial arts classes. But the other..." He trailed off, letting a single spark fly, and in a second, electricity suddenly formed crackling around his body, yellow streaks dancing around him, with high intensity.

Taking a low stance, he bolted over to the boulder, the electricity moving from his entire body to his hand. With a lunging jab forward, the power of both the fist, and the lightning combined managed to make the boulder explode into shards of rock. Max made sure that he was far away enough that the debris wasn't near Kayla, or Hiro, even though he was positive his teacher could handle it.

Silently, he turned around, a passive look on his face. "Electromancy of a sort. I had a lot of trouble with it at first, but I'm getting better." He explained, his face a little pale. He felt weak after this to be honest, since he had spent the entire morning training himself to death, but he couldn't let anyone else know that he was vulnerable. Panting, he made his way to the boulder clossst to the lake and held onto it for support, a slight wince on his face.

"I'm a Wizard," Hiro said rather plainly after Max's expert display, "I'd show something for it but my powers are sealed up right now, I'm afraid." It was never fond to be reminded at the loss of his powers. Sure, he still had the use of his Persona but at this point and time he felt it best to keep that a personal secret from people until he actually had to use it.

"I don't think it's that weird," Hiro continued picking up on what Kayla had mentioned, "There's plenty of unexplained things in the world. And there are so many people and so many go to great lengths to keep their abilities hidden that only places like Hyakuji and this world's Shinya make it apparent by having so many with such potential grouped together."

It was clear he'd given a lot of thought to the matter. Of Hyakuji's staff he'd been on board as a teacher the longest and by this time it'd given him a great deal of insight into the nature of a school for those gifted with super natural abilties.

Kayla watched Max's display of his power in awe, flinching when the rock practically blew up. She smiled at him but then looked confused when he looked like he got hurt as he leaned against a rock.

"Are you ok? Those are some pretty impressive powers"

She said and then turned to Hiro when he said he was a wizard. A wizard eh? She nodded and then frowned when he said they were sealed up. She wondered why but before she had the time to ask he was going off about people with powers. She listened to what he said and couldn't have agreed more.

"That's very insightful, I guess since I discovered my power I just considered myself a freak. I never thought of all the people out there that hide their powers from others."

She said and looked up at the sky again as she thought of how many unexplained things there were in the world. She smiled to herself, she could feel that this school was going to be good for her. She hadn't even started classes yet and was already learning so much.

"I'll be fine. It's just that I was training this morning in the woods and I forgot to take breaks, so I'm just a little tired. My power's kind of dangerous if I don't have complete focus." Max replied, forcing a grin onto his face as he leaped on top of the boulder he was leaning on and sat down cross legged, looking down at Kayla and Hiro again, a chuckle escaping his lips.

"You know when they say 'A wizard did it?', they probably meant Hiro up to some shenanigans." He smirked at Hiro, but was a bit surprised to hear that his powers were currently sealed. It was a shocker and he wondered if it was self-imposed, to keep others from getting hurt, or if he was under some sort of curse. Either way, it wasn't his place to voice his questions in case it was too personal.

Max shook his head sadly when he heard Kayla's explanation, understanding what she went through completely. "Don't see yourself as a freak. See what you have as being a gift, because it's normal around here to have powers." He explained, a small smile forming on his face. "Speaking of which what IS, your power Kayla? I don't think you've mentioned it."

"There are people with no powers every bit a freak compared to anyone with them," Hiro said as he sat back up properly, "People just naturally fear what they don't understand. However, in the end you're really no different from anyone else in the world."

Hiro laughed a little softly as he looked from Kayla to Max and then back again. "I'm curious too," he added, "What are your powers?"

Kayla nodded to both of them as they tried to raise her spirits about her powers. Her power was her own personal hell, but she had the ability to make people feel just as badly as she did. She stood up and looked at both of them with a smirk

"Ok well.. don't freak out.."

She said, looking at Max first. She closed her eyes, and the only love she felt in his heart was for his brother. Her power had no limit on the kind of love, just that it had to be love. Within minutes she opened her eyes again and the illusion of his brother was standing next to her, in the way that Max would most remember him as. The facial features, the clothes, the smile. Everything was how he would remember him. She looked at the illusion then nodded, and it began to walk towards Max, a little hesitant at first.

Before Hiro or Max had time to react her eyes were closed and she was focusing on Hiro. He had a long list in the lust department but the list narrowed when she went deep within his heart. After a few moments she opened her eyes and two illusions popped up at once, one was of Celestial, and another of Lillian. As in Max's case they were both as he would have remembered them, Celestial in all her youth and Lillian... well as Lillian.

She nodded to them twice and they began speaking, softly at first, but they would take turns talking to Hiro, asking questions. There were limitations to the power, they couldn't have a full out conversation, only ask questions and answer questions to an extent.

"I can create an illusion of anyone that you've ever loved.."

Max's eyes turned right away from interest to sadness. He was quite literally, on the verge of tears, being able to see his brother for another time, even if it wasn't really him. He barely heard Kayla give the explanation, before he closed his eyes, trying to fight back the tears that were coming back up, and gripped his arm tightly with his other one. "He looks exactly as he did before he died." He muttered softly, finding it a bit hard to even look at his deceased brother, even if it was just an illusion.

It was a good thing Kayla explained her powers otherwise he would have freaked out, agitated that a necromancer could have done this a long time ago, and as much as he would love for his brother to live again, he needed peace.

He was honestly at a loss for words. He couldn't really find what to say to an illusion, since it was only memories of whatever was in his heart, every question would already have a known answer. Max couldn't quite find the point of talking, much less form a coherent word.

Max decided to stay silent still. He wasn't sure what to think.

Kayla looked at Max's silence and smirked, moving closer to him as the replica of his brother reached out towards him. Before he knew it she was behind him, leaning close enough to him to whisper in his ear

"And this is where I would attack.. but I don't attack friends unless forced"

She said plainly, looking at the replica as it looked at Max, with the same goofy grin his brother would have had. She had perfected her power enough so that unless the person was looking for it, even the eyes would look like they had life in them. She waited for Max to speak, folding her arms as she did.

Max felt a chill run down his spine, since he had never seen Kayla move. One second she was in the water, and the next she was right behind him. Max was about to speak, but listened to her words first, smiling slightly as he understood. "Thank you." He muttered softly, looking over to his brother's illusion.

"A day doesn't go by that I don't think of what could have been if he had lived. But he had already accomplished his dream at a young age. He just wanted to have fun and enjoy what came towards him. It's probably a good thing he went quickly." Max explained, still smiling towards the illusion, his arms at his sides now. "Hope you're not gonna be mad when I come to visit you tomorrow. I don't think I'd be able to focus, Eric." He apologized, scratching the back of his head, hoping his real brother heard him from wherever he was.

Finally turning around to Kayla, he closed his eyes. "You probably just lifted up tons of stress from my shoulder. I owe you so much, Kayla." He spoke honestly, feeling more than grateful for meeting her. Pictures didn't do him justice anymore, and looking at the real deal made him feel more at ease.

Kayla nodded as she listened to his story of his brothers death, understanding now why he was such a big part of Max's heart. Of course family members were always easier to conjure up because unless the person had a bad history with their family they automatically had a huge love for them. It was more fun, however, to pull up past lovers. Much easier to attack someone with too.

"I could have added a lot more stress if I wanted to. But I'm glad I helped some. Your brother was cute, such a shame."

She said with a laugh as she looked at the illusion, closing her eyes and when she opened them again he was gone. She looked at the still semi shaken up Max with a new understanding that probably not many people knew.

"So.. where are you going now since you already had your visit with your brother?"

Max chuckled at that last bit of his brother being cute. It was fairly true, since he often watched on in amusement as Eric was forced to hide from the many girls that wanted to date him. Max didn't have that luxury sadly, even though he was older, and preferred to be left alone. "Well since I don't have to go today I don't really have any plans...I was probably going to wander around for a bit. Maybe get a bit to eat, since I'm pretty exhausted from this morning."

He paused for a moment, before grinned.

"Or I could go back in the water. What are your plans?" He asked calmly, noticing that Hiro had mysteriously vanished, as usual. Oh well, he'd catch him during school hours in class and pester him once he got the chance. Things were never normal or boring around Hyakuji after all.

Max waited patiently for Kayla's answer, finding himself wanting to spend more time with her. She seemed like a really interesting person, the fact that she was honest with her powers was another plus. A lot of people around the area liked to hide their skills.
