Shocking
"Oh no! It is charme même..." She smiled to the man and shrugged his coat off, offering it back to him with a happy smile. "Merci..." Mexes bobbed her head and laced her fingers shyly in front of her, looking around the apartment but not really moving. She was appraising him... trying to figure out if he was the great man she was told...

Trying to figure out if he could help her.

Her lower lip was soon caught between her teeth and she looked up at him. "Hiro," The man's name came out more like 'Ee-row', "would you tell me more about yourself? Please?"

NICE DRIVE!
As Esme began appraising his home Hiro shut the door and locked it, could never be too safe given where he lived, and then took the jacket from her sitting it on the nearby kitchen counter. "Well thank you," Hiro laughed happily. Perhaps she was just being nice or maybe she saw something in the apartment he could not; it didn't really matter. Every action she made was so adorable and perfect.

"Hrm, well," Hiro began wondering where to start, "It might be a bit hard given so many people that meet these days are other worlds so I'll try to keep broad. Let's see... I'm 23 years old. I have a degree in Art. In my home world I'm a teacher at a school called Hyakuji High School. I've been there for several years now. I began teaching art, but due to my other talents I recently switched to teaching an elective course called Supernatural Studies..."

It was a decent start, but Hiro wasn't about to spill everything right away. She'd ask what more she'd want to know and Hiro would guide the conversation to there. In truth, he had been a little surprised. He intended to ask about her and dissuade her from the lifestyle she was considering and yet here she was mining for information about him.

"Oh, and sorry," Hiro said suddenly, "I wasn't thinking... feel free to go sit on the couch. Could I get you something to drink?"

"Oh... yes thank you!" She chirped, smiling and sitting on the couch, carefully sitting... and the next time he looked at her she crossed her long, thigh-high covered legs over one another, looking away as if she didn't even notice what she was doing. With a soft hum, the girl tugged at the hem of her skirt.

"Some water, if you have any." The woman smiled and looked to the man, running over his words in her mind.

'Hiro Tsukasa... I'm a teacher...'

The words drifted through her mind and something sparked...then fizzled just as quickly. that emptiness.. deep inside her. Who was she? Who had she been? Who knew? Who knew...

"Right," Hiro said cheerfully as he stepped into the kitchen area and fetched a glass to begin filling with water. As he did so Hiro couldn't help but watch as Esme took her seat at the couch and continued to prove just how perfect she was. As she crossed her legs time seemed to move in slow motion his eyes locked and catching every movement of her perfect legs. Exhaling softly so she wouldn't hear Hiro shook his head; this was getting to be too much for him to keep reserved.

"Here, Esme," Hiro spoke softly as he returned to her at the couch and handed her the glass of water and then took a seat beside her but with a respectable ammount of distance between them, "And where was I? Um... When not teaching I also own an Occult Bookstore and a small cafe that's in the building beside it."

"I guess," he continued with a soft laugh, "It would be very safe to say I have a big interest and love of the supernatural." Would she find him weird? Hiro was always unsure how well it would be recieved. In Hyakuji it was no more weird than any other thing; the town was weird personified. Regardless, she was too perfect to lie too; Hiro would merely hope.

"Merci~" The woman chirped happily, practically gulping down the water, this whole situation was making her parched... The man was without his magic, she knew that much, buut... would he still be able to harm someone like her? Setting the empty glass on the table, she sat back up slowly and looked at him, head cocked.

"Oh? Supernatural? Does that mean you know all kinds of strange creatures?" She smiled and let out a soft giggle. Her head tilted a bit. "How did you learn so much?" She didn't seem to find him odd at all, actually. She seemed very interested.

"Hahah I do actually," Hiro laughed as he sat back more relaxed, his eyes reacing over every inch of Esme unintentionally, "In fact, before I was a teacher I was something of a Monster Hunter, if you'd like to think of it with such a term." Hiro smiled contently; she seemed genuinely interested.

"As for how I learned so much," Hiro continued and paused for a moment trying to determine just how much he should tell her, "My parents died when I was very young. It was... a car crash. However, I saw something before I blacked out. It wasn't an accident. Some supernatural creature had caused it. At the hospital I woke up in they wrote it off as childish histerics from the bump to my head and the shock of losing my parents."

Hiro's voice had taken a very solemn tone, it was rare he spoke of this incedent, "With no parents to call my own it was decided I would stay with my Uncle, mother's brother and my Aunt. While I was there when looking for a book to read in my Uncle's study I stumbled across a collection of Occult books. It turned out he was something of a Magician and after showing my own interest under his guidance I quickly realized I had a certain... adept talent... at working with the supernatural."

"Since that time," Hiro continued, "I kept going and never looked back. I never figured out what happened that day exactly. I'm not exactly seeking revenge... I think it'd be rare to ever meet whatever it was that caused the crash. However, I can keep others from experiencing what I did..."

Hiro let his words trail off as he turned and gazed at Esme with a serious look upon his face. Had he said too much? She was so perfect, she just drew things out of him. He'd only intended to say a little but moments later he'd realized that he had already said far too much and still wanted to say more.

'Hunted them...?' Mentally, she recoiled a little, but her face showed none of this. She simply looked concerened, her eyebrows drawn together and her hand gently touching his knee. "Oh...mon cher... that must have been oh so horrible..." She stroked his thigh slowly, shaking her head. "No one should go through that, no one.."

Did she have parents? Mexes honestly couldn't remember. She couldn't remember much of anything, and a past that far back? That was even foggier than the foggiest she COULD remember.

Thinking that maybe it'd be a good idea to turn the conversation away from his parents -- and at the same time wanting to know more about his monster hunting days -- Mexes gripped the man's thigh and smiled.

"Tell me more about monster hunting? You say you used to.. What about now? Do you hunt them now?" She tilted her head a little. "I never heard of this 'Hyakuji'...Is it another world?"

"Thanks," Hiro mumbled softly. He couldn't respond much or she would catch the tone in his voice. Now that she was touching him it had sent a shock all over his body. She was so perfect; even the slightest touch.

"Hyakuji," he continued, "It's a city in the world I am from. The high school there is specifically for students that have... well you might say super powers I guess.... like my ability to use Magic. It's goal is to give students not only a proper education like any school, but also to cultivate their powers to grow and ultimately be used for something productive."

"As for the hunting bit," Hiro added after a momentary pause as he turned and gazed directly into Esme's eyes, "Not anymore. That was a long time ago. I came to realize Monster is an unfair term. Anyone can be a Monster; humans can be Monsters. There are plenty of supernatural beings every bit as good or just as any human in the world. Just because they're not human that doesn't mean anyone has the right to sign them a death warrant. But if one means ill-intent... to harm people, especially the students at the school, I won't hesitate to face them knowing I'm one of the best suited to deal with the supernatural."

His eyes had taken on a passionate gaze. Clearly, from the time he was a Monster Hunter to the present, he'd thought over the matter severely. Perhaps something had happened to spark this realization but the justice in his voice made it quite evident he was against blind one-sided notions he'd once held about the supernatural and he'd truly changed for what he felt was the better.
