An abnormal whirring sound filled a back alley where, luckily, no one was hanging around. By the time anyone noticed the sound and went to check on it, the only thing they would see is an old, blue police box. And in a world like this one, that really wasn't so strange. After a few moments, the door creaked open and a head popped out to stare around for a few moments. "Ah. Alley. Good. Always liked alleys!" The door opened further and The Doctor stepped out, taking a deep breath in and letting it out with a sigh. He pulled the door closed behind him and heard it click into its locked position. With the TARDIS secure, The Doctor strode off out of the alley and into the town. It was quite the sight, to be sure, Part of the city looked Victorian, but there were so many other out of place buildings it was impossible to tell. As his eyes flicked from one building to the next, he approached a pair of people who were chatting in the center of a square, near a large set of doors. "Um, yes, excuse me. Where am I?" The man didn't flinch, hesitate, or even give a strange look. "Aah, a newcomer. You're in Traverse Town, friend!" Traverse Town...Well, he'd been in places with much stranger names. He turned and gave his thanks, picking an interesting looking building out and starting to head towards it. Before he got more than a few steps, though, the man called out behind him. "Don't you want to know what happened to your world?" The Doctor's stride stopped, mid-step, and he swung around to face the man, one eyebrow raised. "I'm sorry? You know what happened to...my world?" The man nodded and explained. "Well, I'm sorry to be the one to inform you of this, but your world's been swallowed up by the Heartless." The Doctor's heart sank for a moment, but when the man continued, it put his heart(s) at ease. "It's what happened to everyone here. But you know there's a legend that there's someone out there who's gonna bring all the worlds back!" The man beamed. "Then we'll all go home!" The Doctor nodded, his mouth open slightly with this new understanding. "Ah...Right." He waved in thanks and turned again towards the building. "Well, maybe it won't be me this time." He approached the building that looked like a giant dome, painted red and white. As he approached the door, they slid open with a light, welcoming *ding*. When he entered, he froze in his tracks. Sterile white surroundings, people sitting all over the place, people in white uniforms wandering about... "A hospital...it's always a hospital." Edited by MaxKodan, Jan 7 2010, 05:34 PM.

How the hell are there so many people in need of lungs? Damon shook his head as he exited out of a meeting with a doctor, pulling up his hood as he did so. While normally people who saw him would freak out, especially in a hospital where people would assume he'd be there for the hearts that were going to be used for transplants. THIS time however, he had used his brain to call ahead and warn them that he'd be coming, what he looked like, where he was coming from, and the fact that he was with Arcadia. Why was he here? Well, to fix his problem of missing lungs as a human. Alas, it seemed there were quite a few people in dire need of lungs ahead of him, and to make matters worse, it was hard to get any in the first place. Due to people being turned into heartless, there was nothing left behind to be used. Well, it looked like the current form he had would have to do for a while longer. He began to walk away but inadvertently bumped into someone. "Oh, whoops. Sorry about that." He said, before looking at the person he bumped into. Holy Hell. No way. This couldn't be It wasn't possible! It was.... David Tennant! "Oh....my...god....It's you!" He said, with surprise. "I'll be damned.....The entire world gets eaten up but you survive." He said, finding a dark form of irony in that. An actor survives the apocalypse, but a town of superhumans barely survives. |

*Thump* His arm bumped into someone. Hardly surprising, considering how crowded the hospital was, but there was no need to ignore common courtesy. He turned and opened his mouth to apologize, but before he did, the man spoke up. "Oh, whoops. Sorry about that." "Oh, no, my fault, I was kind of lost in-" "Oh....my...god....It's you! I'll be damned.....The entire world gets eaten up but you survive." The Doctor couldn't help but chuckle to himself. He was apparently quite the celebrity, despite his efforts. But still. "Well, yeah, I tend to do that. Now, what's all this about the world getting swallowed up?" His head cocked to the side. He was just about positive that none of the worlds anyone had referenced since he arrived here were applicable to him. He'd jumped dimensions after all, no world he'd ever been to was anywhere close to here. But worlds getting swallowed up was never a good thing. |

"Ah, probably off shooting in England, as always." He said, shaking his head. "Long story short, transdimensional beings known as the heartless showed up. Basically, imagine your heart, the metaphysical one that makes up your emotions, mind you, not the kind that pumps blood. Now imagine that being consumed by the deepest DARKNESS in the universe, growing it's own body from said DARKNESS, then hunting for more hearts, until it eats that world's heart." "Some people escape when the world goes all explodey, that's what most people are here because of. Whenever that happens they go and show up here. Currently we're all just trying to survive and the like. Still, I find it funny. Of all the people to survive, it's a british actor who survives the world going supernova. I guess playing The Doctor for so long gave you some Time Lord skills, Mr. Tennant. I hope you know a lot of Japanese, since most of the survivors are from Hyakuji. You know, the town full of superhumans?" |

The Doctor nodded slowly, squinting a little. Metaphysical hearts? He must be referring to some form of life energy, and the 'Heartless' creatures (He found the term pleasantly ironic) seemed to be able to feed off of the absorption of the energy, and a lack of said energy would turn you into one of these creatures. As he mulled it over in his head, he muttered something "Well...that's just brilliant..." A parasitic organism that replicated itself through it's parasitic tendencies. Now, THAT'S a survival mechanism. It also cleared up the mystery of this town. Everyone was here because their world was destroyed by these creatures. That made sense. It was a refugee camp. However, the last part of his speech made him do a double take. "Er...I'm sorry, what did you say my name was?" Did he say 'Tennant?' Well, certainly he was mistaking him for someone else....but wait, PLAYING The Doctor? Playing a Time Lord? Town full of superhumans? It was hard for even the Doctor to understand what was being said here... So, he was being mistaken for an English actor who played...The Doctor? A Time Lord? Someone who played...him? With a deep breath and a slightly scrunched expression, the Doctor finally responded. "I...have...no idea what you're talking about. " |

"Eh?" He said, in a bit of surprise. He understood what he said about the heartless, but was having issues with figuring out who he was? This was odd. Even for him. "You must have gotten a big conk on the head. David Tennant? Awesome actor? Harry Potter? The Doctor? Tardis? The Master?" He said simply. Something was a miss here. Granted, amnesia would explain all this. But even still, this was all just plain odd. For one, his accent. It wasn't his. It was the doctors. There was an audible difference, and it was quite odd. And it looked like he had just came off a shoot from the set, really. Just what was going on? Edited by Captain, Jan 11 2010, 01:14 AM.

The man kept referring to David Tennant....Harry Potter? He'd give him 'awesome', and 'actor' seemed to fit rather well, too...But he was no David Tennant, nor had he ever acted in anything major. Well, that one thing, back in the- That's not important. How could he be mixing up a human actor with a Time Lord? Wait, why would he know him at all? He'd jumped dimensions. Unless this was suddenly a common occurrence, no one should recognize him, and in a world like this, if he existed in some other form...Well, this heartless thing wouldn't have gotten so far, now would it? No, there was no Doctor in this world, that was for certain, so who... A bit of a light of understanding came into his eyes as he realized what was going on. "Ooooooh, you think...so there must be...oh, but that's lovely..." He grinned a little to himself. He was so brilliant, he was inspiring TV shows in other dimensions. Now THAT was an accomplishment. He had no idea how they'd found someone that looked just like him, but that was beside the point. "Ah, I see what's going on here...Boy, are you going to love this..." He reached out and patted the man's upper arm. "See, I'm not this David Tennant man you're talking about. I'm The Doctor. Just The Doctor. The actual, real, genuine Doctor..." What an astounding coincidence. |

...Wait what? This was....no way. The real doctor? "..." He was quiet for a moment as he thought on that possibility. "Cool." He said with a shrug, finding it plausible. Really, after everything that had been happening, it was all a big mess concerning what was possible an what was not. "You chose one hell of a place to take a pit stop. You're in the middle of a warzone, more or less. Entire worlds and dimensions are being eaten up and spat out. It's like a biblical plague, on a transdimensional scale. Locusts on steroids." He said, rather surprised that the doctor would end up here. "I wonder how the hell they'll do this on the show." He muttered, wondering on that before stopping that train of thought. |

The Doctor clicked his tongue and shook his head. A warzone, why not? Did they have to call it a warzone? But, he might be a little jumpy at the word, he should look more into the situation first. But, to do that, he'd need something. "My man, walk with me!" He strode quickly past his new acquaintance and patted his shoulder again, signaling that he should follow him. "Now," He began as the doors to the hospital opened in front of them. "What exactly are these things? I mean, are they sentient? How do you get rid of them? Is there something special you have to so, something special that happens? Is there any way to separate the heartless from the heart? Any way to return it to the body? What happens to the-" He stopped in mid stride, blinking rather rapidly and taking a deep breath. "I'm asking...a lot of questions. I don't usually do that." He turned his head to the man. "Consider yourself honored, you get to answer them!" He continued on, but allowed the man to respond, this time, almost oblivious to how un-honor worthy it was. |

Damon followed the doctor, knowing full well that as smart as he was, The Doctor was smarter. At least, on the whole. Damon was pretty knowledgeable on the ways of the elements, and he didn't think the doctor knew of any Elemancers. It was mostly aliens and the like, after all. He began to prattle off lots of questions, which Damon COULD understand. The doctor was a know it all. A very funny know it all, but a know it all nonetheless. "I'll try to answer it as best I can. They are not sentient, not the majority of them anyways. They are created from when the tainted powers of darkness consume a heart. Whether it be from despair, choice, overwhelming amounts of darkness, or by being consumed by another heartless. To fix that, people have to fight them. Those with an immense amount of 'Light' in their hearts summon weapons called keyblades, and free the heartless from the darkness. Or at least so says the Organization XIII, a group of people with bodies but no hearts. I don't exactly trust them since they tried to kill a group of light wielders because of one idiot." Again, this was one of the moments where upon looking back, Damon's life was 7 kinds of messed up. Meh, he'd complain later. "Right now we're operating under the belief that if we stop the heartless, we can undo this all. If hearts are released, they can likely be rejoined to a body. Worlds would be the same way, with any luck." |

With each answer, the water got a little clearer, and then this whole Organization XIII thing muddied it all up again. "Right, so, these things are trapped...hearts." He still wasn't sure about that term. It made it sound like the physical heart was being taken, but from all this information he was almost positive that that wasn't the case, particularly when this Organization XIII was brought up. If the physical heart was taken, then the body would certainly die. So, the heart must be the metaphorical heart, the one that controls emotions and the like. The romantic version of the heart As he pondered on that, he swung around a corner and into an alley and, sure enough, right down at the end was the blue police box, the one that this man would recognize from the television show. "Right, so!" He stepped quickly up to the box and pushed a key into the hole. "These...Organization Thirteen people you were talking about, what exactly are they? Well, never mind, really. I think I'll go ask them myself." He pulled the door open with a grin and strode inside, only to stop a few feet from the door. No emotions. That sounded...eerily familiar. He shook his head, ensuring himself that there was no way that it would be the same, then turned towards the door and awaited his new companion. |

"Oh...dear....god." Damon said as he turned the corner and saw the iconic TARDIS. "The TARDIS itself. I'm tempted to snatch some of it's coral." He mused as he saw the doctor walk up to it. He asked what the Nobodies were, then said he was going to ask them himself. His eyes, naturally, widened at that. "I'm afraid that will be impossible, even for you, Doc." He said, with a frown. "The Organization hides in the darkness. They use it to go from world to world, with no fear. They don't have hearts to lose anymore after all. Besides that, nobody knows what their world is, or even if they have one." He said, explaining more on these mysterious beings. "Even the TARDIS wouldn't be able to get you to them. The darkness would stop it. Believe me." He said, as his gloved hands reached up and removed his hood, showing off his true appearance. "...I know more about the darkness than most anyone." He concluded with a slightly melancholic tone. |
