"CHOU HENSHIN!!!" And so...the warning was made and the first shot was fired. Kouta responded by using a form he seldom used: that of the warrior of wind, Pegasus. The blue armor had changed to green with a single shoulder guard. While he didn't have a weapon to transform into the Pegasus Bowgun, it wasn't something he was after at the moment. What he needed was the form's enhanced senses, one that would make dealing the the threat of the carrots easy. All this in a short amount of time, simply because to him, the moment the carrots were launched they were moving slowly. He could see and hear the littlest details about them. As such he remained perfectly still, watching...waiting...and at the last second... He had caught whatever carrots were targeted at him. To this, he merely followed up with a heavy sigh as he glared at Kaguya behind his mask. "Miss purple over there is right. And I'm not in the mood to make a heroic speech and all...so it's either we help you protect the world, or we plow through you to do it." Kouta stated, calmly return to Mighty form, carrots still in hand. |

Meglumar didn't need to be told twice. He moved behind Lavender, as she put up her barrier, and the evil carrots of missile-ey doom were kept at bay. WHY was there a rabbit girl underneath this city? What was she protecting, aside from the world heart? Lavender and the kamen rider spoke out to the girl, trying to keep her from killing them and trying to explain what they needed to do. "We are just here to save your world from destruction. The heartless are going to try and get here, and destroy this place. only the keyblade can seal the heart of the world, and spare it from destruction." Edited by Captain, Mar 1 2010, 11:18 PM.

Star swam through the water between Lavender and Meglumar, breathing through clenched teeth so that they wouldn't chatter. She knew she had swam in colder. She had jumped in a pond in winter on a dare from one of her friends before. It was not a pleasant experience. At the moment, though, she couldn't remember it being colder than this, although she knew it probably was. At least this wasn't partly frozen. She tried not to think about where it came from, considering they were underneath a sprawling metropolis. She was relieved when she felt solid ground beneath her feet. Star stepped out of the water and shivered, wrapping her arms around herself. She held out a hand towards Meglumar for her cloak back. For a moment, she wished she had pyromancy. Then, she wouldn't need to worry about how much light she had left, and she would actually be warm! But, well, beggars couldn't be choosers. She followed them into the tomb. Her eyes widened as she looked around them. Who could have imagined that something like this existed below Niwa? She could feel the light coming off of the crystals. It wasn't sunlight, but she thought if push came to shove, she might be able to use it. It didn't make her feel warm, but it was close. She took a step forward, towards the tomb. That was when the angry bunny girl showed up. Star quickly stepped behind Lavender, listening as Lavender, the Kamen Rider, and Meglumar all tried to talk some sense into her. "What they said!" she said, quickly, pointing at them. |

Fortunately for Netto and Randy, the PopUp chip does no actual damage to the floor or walls, merely allowing the user to sort of "phase into" them. Unfortunately, even THIS is somehow prevented by the glowing runes. Netto: ...well, crap. So much for that plan. *sigh* All right, guess we've gotta get wet. Randy: Not necessarily...how far is it to the other side? Netto shrugs as he examines the opening. Netto: I dunno, maybe...10, 15 feet? Not all that long a distance. Everyone else came back up pretty quick. Why? What are you thinking? Randy: ...here's hoping it's the former. AreaGrab can only take us 15 feet, and I do NOT want to end up in the wall. Hmm...maybe I should also ready AntiDamage, just in case. Netto: Mm. Good idea. Randy: ...unfortunately, I still need a few more seconds to insert new chips, so we're gonna be late to the party that sounds like it's starting up over there. Netto: Argh. Screw that, I'm diving in. You coming, Spectrum? D Spectrum grins and steps forward. D Spectrum: Let's do this. Randy: *sigh* Fine, whatever. Netto, D Spectrum, and R Spectrum all dive into the water and swim after the rest of the group...but end up late to the party anyway. HAR! Netto's Custom: FULL Netto's Chips: GunDelSol1 (blue gun; D Spectrum's left hand), GunDelSol2 (red gun; Star's belt), GunDelSol3 (yellow gun; D Spectrum's right hand), Shadow D Spectrum's current SubType: Stealth (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) CrossD Fusion recharge: Turn 8/8 Randy's Custom: FULL Randy's Chips: AirSword (Randy's right hand), AirSword (Randy's left hand), PopUp (turn 1/4; useless) R Spectrum's current SubType: Stealth (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) SpectrumΩ's Equipped Programs: AquaCustom Style (Bubbler STILL charged) Damage taken by SpectrumΩ: 10.0% |

Tei watches as her flying carrot projectiles were easily blocked, which made her all the more angrier at these trespassers. Tango’s attempt to reach for Tei would be unceremoniously stopped midway when she simply raises her hand towards him and said, “Panzer Schild!” A solid round shield with a triagram and runic writings would appear just inches in front of her, which would prevent the odd meowing cat from reaching her and forcing it away. “Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!” The incensed rabbit girl retorted angrily. “Human words are not to be trusted, for thousands of years, my lady has been victim of human lies, so much that she has decided to entomb herself away for good, unable to die because of her immortality. You mortals are not the first who tried to reach my Lady’s place of rest, and they despite what they say, they were all lies, and I made them pay for it.” If our tomb raiders were to observe the cave floor closely, one can make out pieces of white stuffs that were clearly bones, remains of past intruders from who knows how long ago. “I don’t know what this World Heart you’re talking about but none of you shall leave this place alive! All of you, and those black things outside! Raketenform!” With that, he wooden mallet suddenly changes shape into a metal hammer this time, which the head suspiciously looks like it now has a rocket nozzle attacked to it. Tei raises the newly transformed hammer, and at once the rocket nozzle flared to life and she began spinning in place, seemingly laughably and rather uselessly until she suddenly flings herself at Lavender’s group using the rocket-assisted momentum of her swing to break through her shield! Meanwhile, Nine gets out of the way discreetly so as not to attract attention to him, particularly from the rabbit girl. The others can keep her busy for now while he dutifully tries to find where the keyhole to the world heart was somewhere in this cave. Survive! He thought quietly, before he began his search… |

Lavender let out an exasperated sigh as Tei gave her angry reply - that was however something the aeromancer had been expecting all along. She's had her fair share of dealing with ancient guardians before in her time as the field commander of GLADIUS, and her experience on the field has taught her that such entities are not easy to reason or bargain with, and it appears this bunny girl was no exception. “Human words are not to be trusted, for thousands of years, my lady has been victim of human lies, so much that she has decided to entomb herself away for good, unable to die because of her immortality. You mortals are not the first who tried to reach my Lady’s place of rest, and they despite what they say, they were all lies, and I made them pay for it.” Lavender gritted her teeth at the bunny girl's retort; she'd heard similar words from both sides of the coin, human and Others alike - all too often during her time as a GLADIUS operative and as an instructor in the SEED Institute. Such was a reason behind the existence of the OASIS Foundation. The aeromancer wouldn't deny that she couldn't argue with Tei's reasoning. All too often, she had to agree that humans are bastards, but having heard stories from both sides of the coin, what makes Others really that much different? "Careful, she means what she says, look at all those human remains," Lavender commented as she took note of the skeletal remains of humanoids scattered all over the cave floor. Clearly, Tei wasn't making idle threats, and she will not hesitate to use lethal force. “I don’t know what this World Heart you’re talking about but none of you shall leave this place alive! All of you, and those black things outside! Raketenform!” And so the second round began, as Tei's wooden mallet transformed itself into a metal hammer, the hammer head being shaped like it had a rocket nozzle on one end. "Incoming! Spread out!" Lavender shouted as the bunny guardian raised her rocket hammer and spun around like a helicopter with its tail rotor shot out, heading right towards Lavender and those who had taken cover behind her from the earlier storm of projectiles. The aeromancer grunted as Tei slammed her hammer into her shield, the impact actually breaking through the wall of telekinetic force and slamming Lavender into a nearby wall with enough force to actually leave an impact crater. In an almost dramatic fashion after Lavender's back smashed into the wall the aeromancer tumbled forward to land on her knees. "If we must kill you to get to the World Heart, so be it," Lavender replied grimly. While the aeromancer despised bloodshed, she really didn't have the time to talk her way out of this one, not when every second that ticks by meant the enemy is one step closer to discovering Niwa's World Heart. The aeromancer shouted as she rose to her feet, a pair of cyclones whirling around her hands and forearms. Thrusting her hands forward, Lavender unleashed a storm of four almost-simultaneous Saber Gusts at Tei! |

Netto, having just arrived himself, notices Oxkito slipping away to begin his search. With a furled brow, Netto watches him closely. It seemed like he was...looking for something? Hmm...that wasn't TOO bad. The group HAD come here to find the World Heart. Suddenly, Netto remembers something: the end of EXE. In the middle of combating the Heartless, his Keyblade suddenly reacted to something in the sky, causing EXE's World Heart to appear...and allowing the Trans-Am Behemoth to storm in. Yes...his Keyblade. That was what he'd need. Handing R Spectrum his GunDelSols (R Spectrum sending away his AirSwords so he can hold them), Netto summons his Keyblade, and is disappointed to discover that it's the basic Space Paranoids Keyblade once more. He sends it away and summons it again, but it doesn't change. Netto: Darn it...how did I...? R Spectrum walks up beside him. Randy: Just pull out the damn key and start looking for the hole. I'm gonna join the combat. We DO have a P.A. all set up and everything. R Spectrum fires two last Solar Shots at Star--the last bit of recharging he'd be giving her this dungeon--then fuses his two GunDelSols, along with the one Star had on her, into the PileDriver Program Advance. Four large mirrors rise up in a circle around Tei, and after a moment, huge beams of solar energy burst forth from them, focused upon the poor girl in the middle. Randy uses his ability to infuse Light energy into weapons to power up the PileDriver, making it incredibly strong. Thorns of darkness shoot out from R Spectrum's arms as well, attempting to wrap up Tei and hold her in place so the PileDriver won't miss. Unfortunately for R Spectrum, using a Light alignment power and a Dark alignment power at the same time results in him dealing a fair amount of damage to himself from the alignments clashing. He does his best to shrug this off. (Strictly speaking, D Spectrum is the one who summons the PileDriver, since it's made of the chips from Netto's Custom, but since R Spectrum was the one holding the guns, it LOOKS like HE summoned it, and with the two Spectrums being connected, Randy can easily transfer his Light energy through either one to get it to the P.A.) As R Spectrum does his thing, Netto gives up on summoning Gospel's Fang and focuses instead on looking for something--anything--that looks even vaguely like a keyhole. He holds his Keyblade out as he searches, hoping that it will react to something. D Spectrum assists Netto by summoning a small group of four or five Shadows, which sniff the air and attempt to use their heart-sensing abilities to detect the Heart of the World. If the World Heart could be found and dealt with, the battle with this gravekeeper could be cut short, and everyone could take their leave. Besides, Netto and Spectrum both wanted to find the World Heart before Oxkito could. They didn't believe he was truly hoping to assist everyone in saving this world--not after Randy's last encounter with the Organization. Netto's Custom: FULL Netto's Chips: PileDriver P.A. (GunDelSol 1, 2, 3), Shadow D Spectrum's current SubType: Stealth (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) CrossD Fusion ready Randy's Custom: FULL Randy's Chips: AirSword, AirSword, PopUp (turn 2/4; seemingly useless) R Spectrum's current SubType: Stealth (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) SpectrumΩ's Equipped Programs: AquaCustom Style (Bubbler STILL charged) Damage taken by SpectrumΩ: 15.0% |

Oh, crap. Diplomacy fail. Star let out a shriek and ran to the side, jumping the last few feet and throwing herself to the ground to avoid getting hit by Tei. She quickly placed her hands on the ground and got up, turning to face the bunny girl. She may have been inexperienced at combat, but even she knew by now that being on the ground and having your back to the enemy were both very bad positions. And at the same time? Very very bad. Star grimaced as Tei completely disregarded everything they said. Apparently, she had heard it all before, minus the part about the World Heart. Well this was bad. Very bad. She didn't want to have to hurt someone that was just doing their job, much less kill them, but at the same time, she didn't want to be killed. And war gave her very few options. She quickly formed six orbs of light. They circled her in a ring before heading towards Tei in a line. "You've gotta believe us!" she said as she did. "We're not interested in your mistress, we just want to get past here to the World Heart!" Which, she realized, probably wouldn't do much good now that they were fighting back, but she had to keep trying. There was still a chance that Tei might eventually see reason. Or not. |

"CHOU HENSHIN!" And so Kouta went from red to silver once more. So it came down to nothing but fighting: typical really, but at the same time he had hoped it could be a little different. Still, unlike the others he wasn't quite ready to attack her just yet, otherwise he'd have picked a different form and summoned his weapon. "Messengers of peace shouldn't be brandishing spears." Kouta stated simply, though it was more directed at Lavender for the moment. Still, he advanced forward, even if it meant taking the wind attacks: likely why he chose his armored form to begin with. "If you don't believe us, that's fine. We showed up at your home without warning, you have every right to be skeptical. But at least listen to us...we are here to help, we all fight to get rid of the black things." he explained. "You have my word, no harm will come to you or your mistress if you help us." he continued before doing something unexpected. He turned back to normal, standing between the saber gusts and Tei herself...taking them and getting cut up by the razor sharp wind. It hurt like hell, and he wanted to just pass out but he remained standing... Just to give Tei a warm smile and a thumbs up. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
"Meow." (Once again, stop louting me in with the HUMANS! Can you not see my whiskers? My twin tails? My paws? My four legs? Are you freaking blind as a bat?) Tango hissed in outrage, his eyes filled with tormenting the brat. He landed on all four paws with a backflip upon crashing into the shield. "Meow." (Besides....I am well-aware of your princess. And her legend. But I can assure you that there was no lie during her last encounter with humanity, she was pretty much taken captive by her court as their legions threatened to brutally obliterate the human race should they even try to get her back. Kinda pathetic, actually.) Tango chuckled, recalling the folklore of when the people of the moon came down on the human armies and the palace to reclaim the princess. "Meow." (No matter. You can't aim that hammer down at me since it keeps your balance on a set course. Time to fall over, moon bunny. I'll rip off your cottontail and use it to get the gunk out of my ears. And then I'll send your princess a Get Well Soon card as a afterthought.) He now cackled, planning to shatter her since the rocket hammer would prevent her from changing direction in avoidance of his attack. Curling into a Samus-like ball shape, he rotated in place to accelerate, gaining speed and traction over the alien floor. Friction created by the natural electrical flow of his body created a powerful heated barrier of his own, in which he propelled himself with the impact and speed of a electrically-charged, Middle Ages-type cannonball. Straight towards Tei's exposed, spinning legs. Edited by Super Hurricane, Mar 7 2010, 02:41 AM.

Meglumar dove out of the way, a look of shock on his face. This rabbit girl was crazy! "The pureblooded humans here do not suffer from a tendency to lie! I myself am half blood human, so make of that what you will!" He said, his hand moving toward his sword, but he didn't grab it. He didn't want to quite resort to violence. One more try from him. He did not wish to murder someone to save everyone else. "If we're lying then you can murder us! At least let us try to prove ourselves! He said, in an almost pleading voice. He wanted to save this world and the people in it, but quite honestly? Niwa was NOT worth killing over. "If we don't stop the heartless then your mistress will suffer just like the world! If you care about her, then please, help us! Help us help you help her!" He said, making 100% sure to avoid making this sound like a threat. |

The expression on Tei’s face as she hammers through Lavender’s shield was one of pure, thrilling, ecstasy. It’s been so long since she had tomb raiders much less than those that can fight back this much. Waiting down here all alone, with nothing much to do and only her entombed mistress to accompany her, these tomb raiders were a godsend. So much was she in her thoughts that she noticed a bit too late that she was being counter-attacked from all sides by winds and lethal light. As she avoided R Spectrums binds by stepping to the side and hammering it away, she gritted her teeth, while bracing herself for all the blows to hit her. Only that it didn’t, as the armored warrior among them went up and took all the blows for her while disengaging his armored form. Slightly shocked, but with Kouta, after having bought her some precious seconds and being inexplicably in the middle of several other incoming attacks with her, Tei summoned a large domed shield around her and Kouta with the command, “Panzer Hidernis!” The stronger barrier would diffuse the barrage of light attack from Netto and Star and force the balled Tango back away again when it hits the barrier. Once all attacks were clear, the barrier would drop, and Tei and Kouta would be relatively unharmed. “What are you stupid!?” Tei suddenly shouted angrily at Kouta, her hammer pointing directly at the young man. “What did you do that for!?” Tei was confused. She had never seen anyone did that for her, not in the thousands of years she’s been around anyway. With Kouta’s selfless act of taking the hits meant for her, Tei effectively stopped attacking everyone, at least for now. “T-t-tell me, then,” Tei began with a stutter and trying not to look at Kouta too closely. “What is this World Heart you speak off? And what are those black things the sensors cannot pick up?” Nine meanwhile, sensing that the fight seems to have stalled for now, doubled his effort in using his eyes and ultra-high frequency soundwave to find the Keyhole. With the whole fight now quieting down a bit, he can finally focus his search better, and slowly and surely, he can almost hear it clearly now… |

"Stupid, idiotic, foolish, take your pick." Kouta said with a shrug, brushing himself off while trying to walk the pain off. He'd gone through worse and his body was always being beat up, but he did have a limit. "And I did it...because I'm Kuuga." he continued, not putting his thumbs up away any, nor did he really provide a proper answer. But it was best to not press the matter, attempting to explain Kouta's reason for doing anything would probably end in tears. "The World Heart is as it sounds: the core to all worlds, one that beats with life just like the ones in our very own chests." he began explaining. He wasn't really good with these things but since he managed to stop her, he figured he was the best for the job. "Without it, this world will cease to exist...and that is the quest of the Heartless, those black things as you call them." he continued, turning his thumbs up into a clenched fist. "They seek to devour the World Heart, to grow stronger, to spread their influence further. They have already claimed several worlds including our own..." and with that, he summoned his Keyblade, the carkey looking Fenrir. "And that is why we exist. We fight them, and with this power we can protect your home, and by extension your mistress, from suffering the same fate." |

"Meow." (And where by chance, are you going? Don't tell me that the Nobody is having second thoughts about saving this world.) Tango said plainly, moving in front of number Nine with a feral scowl. He had landed on all four paws again after a minor backflip, somewhat annoyed by the fact that the girl continued to elude all attacks. Now that the rabbit girl was distracted by words (Tango would have just let her have it with WorldDragon), he suspected Nine was up to something. Even his cat ears could sense the change in supersonic pitch coming from him, even though the humans couldn't. His fur stood on end, mouth widened with glistening fangs, his body language showing No. 9 to turn off the stupid sound frequency before he tore into his face with razor-sharp claws. "Meow." (Shut down that noise or I'll MAKE you shut it down. It's annoying and over-stresses me, like a alarm that has been going off for 18 hours. If you have any faith in the Keyblade, you'll let them do the work.) |

Randy is shocked and alarmed at Kouta's actions, but is relieved to see Tei raise a barrier around them both, protecting them from the PileDriver. Normally, he would have been pissed as hell that someone managed to actually BLOCK the PileDriver, which normally produces such powerful beams of light that it pierces right through any and all defenses, but apparently the lack of sunlight in the cavern, the runes on the floor and walls, and Randy's own desire to not hit his comrade somehow resulted in the PileDriver not breaking through. Yeah. That had to be it. In any case, Kouta seemed to be calming the gravekeeper down somewhat, and when he summons his Keyblade, Randy decides to do the same. He hadn't actually summoned one before, but Netto had pretty well explained how it worked on their way to this world, so he figured he could manage if he tried hard enough. Sure enough, Randy's Light alignment level is JUST high enough that he manages to generate a pure white Keyblade, with a light green flowing down from the tip to about the halfway point. Pausing to examine his Keyblade, Randy considers what to do next, and decides doing nothing would be most beneficial at the moment. As Tei and Kouta are conversing, Netto notices his ADAPT System starting to dampen the sound that reaches his ears. He whaps one of the earpieces with his wrist a couple of times, figuring it's probably a malfunction. Then he glances over to "Nine," and realizes what's really going on--high-frequency sound waves, too high-pitched for him to hear, but loud enough to trigger the ADAPT System's automatic dampener, were being used by Oxkito for some purpose, most likely a form of echolocation intended to pinpoint the keyhole. If the musical instruments as weapons wasn't enough of a clue, this almost certainly confirmed that Oxkito's element was Sound, a fact he'd have to forward to everyone back at... ...oh yeah. The Official Center was gone, along with the rest of EXE. Bastard Heartless. Manually adjusting his ADAPT System to a more appropriate level, Netto takes a moment to listen to what Tei and Kouta are conversing about. As he does so, his Keyblade begins to shudder in his hand, and the four Shadows Spectrum summoned earlier start getting excited. Noticing this, Netto glances down. It seemed that the World Heart would soon be revealed... D Spectrum, having nothing else to do, takes the time to translate Tango's words into English and tell Oxkito what the cat virus is saying. He also gripes at Tango yet again about how very few people speak cat virus.
