Netto turns to Randy. Netto: Are arrows Sword-type? Randy: Uh...I don't think so. But they might be Cursor-type... Netto: ...whatever. I'm risking it. CrossD. Spectrum activates Shadow, the effects of which are copied onto R Spectrum. The two of them fade out into silhouettes, incorporeal to all but blades and precision weapons. They dash out from behind cover, and CrossD. Spectrum fires a pair of Aqua-type, Dark-infused Energy Balls up at the Haniwa archers. Naturally, the two shots are aimed at two different archers. R Spectrum, meanwhile, sweatdrops when he realizes he can't directly summon the guns he was wielding earlier--he has to get CrossD. Spectrum to pull them out and hand them off. He puts away GramSP as he considers his options. R Spectrum: ...plan B. R Spectrum generates his second AirSword in his newly free hand, causing him to change back to Wind SubType (Shadow made BOTH Spectrums Stealth). Being Wind SubType again grants R Spectrum a brief period of flight, which he uses to fly up to the rafter where the archers are. He passes right through the archers by virtue of being incorporeal, then flies along their backs, holding both AirSwords out such as to slash the archers and subsequently blow them off of their perch. From the ground below, CrossD. Spectrum grins. CrossD. Spectrum: Hey, nice thinkin'! Oh yeah, and the arrows turn out to NOT count as Cursor-type or Sword-type, failing to pierce the effects of Shadow. Randy: Consider the archers dealt with. R Spectrum: And really, how was I to know the statues were already alive?? Netto: Oh yes, before I forget... Netto fires another Solar Shot at Star, in an attempt to recharge her. Given that it worked before, it ought to work now. He also fires two rounds from his EON-Brand Exploding Pistol™ at the incoming soldiers. Each shot has enough explosive charge to blow apart half a square meter of concrete 10 centimeters thick, so naturally Netto waits a moment after firing the first round to ensure he gets the most "bang" for his buck. Netto's Custom: 5/8 Netto's Chips: GunDelSol1 (blue gun), GunDelSol2 (red gun; Netto's left hand), GunDelSol3 (yellow gun), Shadow (turn 1/4) CrossD. Spectrum's current SubType: Stealth (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) CrossD. Fusion recharge: Turn 2/8 Randy's Custom: 2/8 Randy's Chips: AirSword (Randy's right hand), AirSword (Randy's left hand), PopUp R Spectrum's current SubType: Wind (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) SpectrumΩ's Equipped Programs: AquaCustom Style Damage taken by SpectrumΩ: 1.5% (he's gradually hurting himself due to alignment clashing) |

Kouta didn't bother getting behind cover, once again the armor that Titan form possessed was more than enough to protect him from harm as the rain of iron arrows came down. And seeing as the event was continually being made boring by rampant spam by the person who went before him, the silver and purple trimmed Rider just walked up to a Soldier and swung his Titan Sword like a golf club, proclaiming a large yawn as he did so. Now he just wanted to go home, much like he did in another retarded thread. |

Again? Here?!? Star clenched her fists against the sudden wave of panic as more of the Haniwa appeared, silently cursing whoever it was that had set them off with the Possessors in a way that no one would have thought possible from her if they even knew her a little bit. There was no helping it. She would have to fight them, even if it meant being useless later on. She quickly formed another pair of light orbs and sent them, not at the soldiers, but at the nearest archer. Star did the same thing again, with two more light orbs at another archer as she moved closer towards the center of the group. She would have to keep an eye on her supply of light. Once she was half-empty, she would stop, no matter what was going on. |

"Well, it's good to be seeing some light for a change," Lavender commented as the group left the corridor and the shattered remains of the Haniwa soldiers behind, entering into a spacious chamber ahead, carved out from the same stone that bore those glowing blue veins, and supported by six massive pillars of granite - the lighting was sufficient that she didn't need to use any sources of illumination to get a good look around. It appears to be some kind of burial chamber, presumably where artifacts would be buried as some form of afterlife possessions, judging from all the broken pottery strewn about the room. Besides the way from whence they came, the exit to this chamber lay in a hole on the floor, with a flight of steps leading down into the darkness below. But first, they would need to get past the guardians in the form of more Phantom Haniwa statues. And to make matters worse, this time they came in the form of archers stationed overhead at an inaccessible balcony, loosing a hail of iron-tipped arrows at the tomb raiders. “Take cover!” Nine called out. Her combat-honed instincts kicking in, Lavender broke into a roll, avoiding the arrows before ducking behind a nearby pillar. “Just as I feared, the whole place knows we are here. We’ll have to take out those archers before we can proceed.” "Looks like these guys want in on the fun as well," Lavender commented as the witnessed a group of Haniwa soldiers emerge from the smaller alcoves in the side, armed with swords and spears - but unlike the rusty old ones wielded by their comrades in the corridor, these were shiny and in good condition. “Somebody take out those archers! We’re sitting ducks here!” Nine called out as he began engaging the advancing Haniwa soldiers with double-fisted trumpet guns. "Just leave it to me!" Lavender replied before breaking cover, raising her hands above her head. "Aerowhip!" A sudden rush of wind blew through the chamber, before four glowing violet whips of energy streaked from her hands and wrapped around two of the Haniwa archers. With a flick of her wrists, Lavender attempted to raise the statues above the ground and smash them down onto the ground floor - if the fall didn't shatter them, at least they would now be within reach and vulnerable to follow-up assaults. |

"Meow." (Bah, using Shadow at this stage? Had you already forgotten that middle age weapons are like rubber bands to us, Netto? You should keep such a chip for when we meet up with the Boss Statue who controls the others. Just don't wreck the place, I want to translate the ancient text later on.) Tango said bluntly, despite the fact that five arrows had firmly lodged into his backside and hips. Ignoring the minor pain recieved, he 'climbed' up of Nine's robes and set himself upon the head of hair (or hood if it was over again). That way, he could be able to remove the arrows and attack at the same time. Hopefully the Nobody would not be as stupid as Xiroh, since unless his body was made of rubber, touching the Oncilla-breed Nekomata Trojan Virus would mean possible electrocution (since after all, his body constantly generated electricity to create the hairballs). Then again, Nobody's weren't supposed to care if a cat was laying on his head or not, since that would go against what they stood for. Opening his jaws, he began to spew multiple volleyball-sized electric hairballs aimed specifically at the non-rusted swords, so that the charge will conduct properly enough through the metal hilt to melt the hands holding them. At the same time, he was using his twin tails as a pair of extra hands to slowly, yet carefully remove the arrowheads from his backside. He flinched a few times from the sole removal of one of them, sometimes causing the hairballs to miss and instead target the clay soldier's body parts. Custom: 3 |

Rumbling noises echoed very quietly. Meglumar almost didn't hear it. And the second he entered the largest chamber, he wished he had not. This was awful. He moved into cover behind the pillar as well, sword in hand. He couldn't even touch the archers. He could only deal with the soldiers. He had hoped to get to use his sword, yet, but this was going to be really hard to deal with. He clasped his sword with both hands and charged at one of the warriors, making a quick and heavy cleave at it. Water magic would be no good. He needed to keep himself within melee range if he even wanted to do anything against them. |

Nine felt first before realizing that the annoying twin tailed data cat from that cyberworld was standing on his head. While he may not be the kind to be annoyed by the cat’s disregard of his pride of being literally stood upon like some makeshift platform, the weight of the cat on his head does affects his aiming and freeing a hand, he reached up over his hood and tries to grab the cat by the scruff of its neck and throw it off: his uniform uses non-conductive material and it absorbs a lot of damage to begin with. What’s more, the same non-conductive material is applied to the gloves. So focused were everyone with the Phantom Haniwas that one stray shot from Netto’s explosive pistol hit one of the pots lying about randomly in the chamber… and suddenly, all the pots moved. They were rattling softly at first but then they sudden sprouted legs out of the base; some even sprouted pincer like appendages and a scorpion-like stinging tails… They were Heartless! Before anyone could react though, the Pot Spiders turn on the Phantom Haniwas, smashing the terracotta warriors into pieces like nothing as the pots were now harder than they originally were, thanks to the infusion of darkness. All the surviving Phantom Haniwas that were not destroyed by our tomb raiders would be summarily destroyed by the Heartless mass. And thus making them the new threat to everyone present. “Great, just what we need. What else could go wrong next?” Nine commented with a sigh, shaking his head in disbelief. As if to respond to Nine’s misgiving, the mass of Pot Spiders began to group together, forming a line of sort, and the line of pots were then lifted up into the air, and a bug like head sprouted on one end, turning its massive eyes at the tomb raiders: it was a Pot Centipede. In response, Nine only lifted his dual trumpet guns and fired at it. Meanwhile, the Pot Spiders would swarm our tomb raiders in an attempt to smash into them, while the Pot Scorpions would stay back and bombard our tomb raiders continuously with some colorful look viscous liquid that is anything but safe; as long as they keep moving, they should be fine. And yeah, there’s the Pot Centipide in the middle of the chamber, launching lightning bolts at them.

"CHOU HENSHIN!" Kouta yelled out, switching forms from Titan form, to the blue Dragon form. At the same time, the Titan sword he was wielding had changed shaped with the form change, becoming the quick form's trademark weapon: the Dragon Rod. The Pot Scorpion's barrage of...whatever would hit nothing as the blue form gave Kouta a significant speed boost. Kouta would begin weaving through the numerous spiders easily, hitting what he could with his Dragon Rod, but his more immediate goal was to attack the Scorpions. While the centipede was dangerous, getting rid of the smaller ones was more important, more so with what they were firing. And so, with a powerful leap forward, Kouta came down and thrust the rod at the nearest Scorpion, aiming to finish it with the Splash Dragon! |

"Meow." (Oh, REAL CONVINCING. Not. Honestly, you Nobodies are regular liars when it comes down to Heartless, you really expect me to believe a bunch of bug-like Heartless just came in undetected and none of the security systems noticed? What a cuttlefish you are.) Tango chuckled, not even caring that Number 9 rudely tossed him (and ended up losing chunks of his hair that Tango held onto with a iron grip). He made a note to up the electric dosage by combining with a Thunder1 next time, since his usual method of a 10,000 volt volt shock had no effect on the gloves. Landing purrrrr-fectly on all four feet after a few aerial somersaults, Tango formed a rather large 3 meter-long energy sword (Fighter Sword) on the tip of one of his tails, which he swung randomly at the advancing hordes of Pot Spiders. Capable of doing High Damage, it could slice stone pillars to pieces rather quickly. "Meow." (Come on, baby. Empty out your catnip reserves so I can have a good time. Garfield ain't got nothing on my spider squashing skill.) He haggled, waging his own 'personal war against the Heartless army. "Meow." (I will absorb not only the darkness, but also the hearts as well for this test, prepare yourselves!) Launching himself forward, he spun the fighter sword around like a propeller, swerving and yo-yoing the elongating tail-blade to cut down the horde. Custom: 3 |

Netto: ...Pot Spiders. Figures. CrossD. Spectrum: I got it! CrossD. Spectrum slams a hand onto the ground, causing a small swarm of Creepworms to pop up. He then commands these Creepworms to ram themselves into the Pot Spiders. This would prove fatal to both the Creepworms and the Pot Spiders, as the latter explode on contact. While this greatly thinned the Pot Spider army, it by no means cleared them all out, especially with the Pot Centipede still in the center of the room. To deal with said Centipede, CrossD. Spectrum summons the two GunDelSols that aren't the one Netto's holding, and fires Solar Shots at the Centipede's face. To avoid getting blasted by lightning from the Pot Centipede(?!) and toxic/acidic/otherwise dangerous liquids from the Pot Scorpions, Netto dives back behind one of the pillars, putting away his gun in favor of GungnirSP, at least for the moment. He wields his spear defensively, but does not yet attempt to strike the Heartless with it. R Spectrum, meanwhile, dives back down from the balcony and performs a spinning slash on a small group of Pot Spiders. Still being in Shadow form meant he and CrossD. Spectrum were immune to all the attacks these particular Heartless were capable of launching. Using this to his advantage, R Spectrum dashes straight toward one of the Pot Scorpions (let's call it Scorpion A), passing right through any Pot Spiders in between and slashing Scorpion A with both blades. With neither Spectrum having used their Main Weapon this round, they begin charging up a Bubbler for later. Netto's Custom: 6/8 Netto's Chips: GunDelSol1 (blue gun; CrossD. Spectrum's left hand), GunDelSol2 (red gun; Netto's left hand), GunDelSol3 (yellow gun; CrossD. Spectrum's right hand), Shadow (turn 2/4) CrossD. Spectrum's current SubType: Light (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) CrossD. Fusion recharge: Turn 3/8 Randy's Custom: 3/8 Randy's Chips: AirSword (Randy's right hand), AirSword (Randy's left hand), PopUp R Spectrum's current SubType: Wind (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) SpectrumΩ's Equipped Programs: AquaCustom Style (Bubbler charged) Damage taken by SpectrumΩ: 2.0% (alignment clashing) |

Oh yay! He could actually do something here! Meglumar never thought he'd be so happy to see so many heartless. He quickly gripped his blade and leaped into the gray, slashing into the pot spiders. There were a lot, making it easy for him to make large swipes. He'd probably knock off a few per swipe. The good feeling of being useful quickly faded, though. The spiders were numerous, He made sure not to stay in one place for too long, as the scorpion looking ones seemed to enjoy spraying out some purplish good that really looked bad. In general purple colors were bad, when they came from heartless. Heck, anything of any color was bad from them! "Stay down!" He yelled out at the spiders as he quickly did a spinning slash hoping to also give himself more room to navigate. |

Great. More Heartless. Star took a step back as the Pot Spiders and their larger variants took care of the Haniwa statues for them, only to replace them as the bigger threat. Talk about getting out of the frying pan and into the fire. She felt around the light inside her, trying to gauge just how much she had left. She had some of the light from Netto, but unless sunlight came in from somewhere, she was pretty much screwed. But those were negative thoughts, and Star hated to think about the negative. There was light in the surrounding area, otherwise they wouldn't be able to see. It wasn't sunlight, but maybe she could use it. She wished she had paid more attention when J tried to teach her to use light other than the sun. She didn't have much time to think about it, though, because Meglumar was already running forward towards the Pot Spiders. And he seemed to be having some trouble. Star took a few steps forward at a run as well. "Leave the crowd control to me!" said Star with a grin as she skidded to a stop and slammed her palms on the ground. Light flared out from them, a sheet of light forming on the floor of the area. It would only hurt the Heartless, and Star imagined that just like with Shadows, it would only harm the weakest ones. But there were a lot of the weakest ones, and Star hoped that it would help to reduce her number. |

"Come one, come all! Lavender's got something for everyone!" The aeromancer said as she stood her ground against the incoming Haniwa statues, twin cyclones circling her fists, the winds gaining speed as they soon approached a hurricane-like intensity, strong gusts of wind whipping through the chamber as Lavender prepared to throw herself at the nearest Haniwa soldiers. The amethyst-haired Scotswoman's ears perked slightly at the sound of a rogue gunshot. Before she could trace the source of the gunshot (which wasn't too difficult a task seeing how there weren't many in the group besides herself who were using chemical-propelled firearms) her attention was drawn to the pots strewn about the chamber suddenly moving! "What the..." Lavender gasped as the pots sprouted spider-like legs; and a few of them grew pincers and tails ending in stingers as well. "...Heartless." The new Heartless threat turned on the Haniwa statues, making short work of the tomb guardians before focusing on the tomb raiders. A group of Pot Spiders lined up in a chain, seemingly joining their bodies together to form a centipede, whom Nine appeared to have his hands occupied with. "Fan out!" Lavender barked an order as the Pot Spiders began advancing upon them, while avoiding the spews of colorful viscous fluid emitted by the Pot Scorpions, instinctively knowing that said liquid was anything but harmless. Raising her MP7A1, Lavender emptied whatever ammunition that was left in its clip at the advancing Pot Spiders. Star and Meglumar appeared to be working well in tandem with each other, so Lavender's attention was focused on keeping the Heartless away from the duo as well as herself. "Back at you!" Lavender raised both hands and sent two light-infused saber gusts into the advancing mass of Pot Spiders. |

Sensor Anomaly detected… Unknown extra activity confirmed… Unable to detect and confirm anymore life readings… Activating Guardian for confirmation… --- The Pot Scorpion that Kouta went after tried to back away from the fast armored warrior, but found itself backed into the wall in its haste to protect itself and ends up being skewered by Kouta’s Dragon Rod, and it eventually died and disappeared in the usual black mist. Tango would be disappointed that Nine did not lose any hair at all, not only because he still has his hood on all this time, but under it, he seems to be wearing something hard and round, yet still organic… Pot Scorpion A saw R Spectrum approaches and once the net battler was close to slash at it, Pot Scorpion A steps forward instead unlike its unlucky brethren earlier, and raised its pincers to parry the slash, leaving R Spectrum open for it to stab its tail at it! The numerous Pot Spiders continue to fill the room, but Meglumar, Star and Lavender’s combined effort to keep them busy works wonders as the Pot Spiders converge on the three. Nine’s shots seems only to agitate the ferocious Pot Centipeded, as the sonic rounds punch its pot armor and shadow flesh, the Pot Centipeded reared back its head, roaring angrily before swinging its entire massive tail end at Nine and inexplicably those who were near him at the time regardless. (Tango, Lavender and Kouta) “Damn, this isn’t working.” Nine muttered, jumping over the tail swing. Before he landed, he switches his dual trumpet guns out for a pair of two double bladed sword like weapon that looks suspiciously like tuning forks, albeit with very, very sharp edges. Once he landed back onto the floor, Nine the jumps up to the Pot Centipeded, intending to slash at its ugly face! “Need some help over here.” Nine said calmly. "I can't take on it alone."

*PING!* Randy: What--!? R Spectrum is stabbed in the chest by the Pot Scorpion, and staggers back a foot or two. Despite his body being little more than a shadow at this point, the Pot Scorpion's tail was sharp enough to pierce his defenses. Randy: Rrgh...I thought you said these things didn't have anything they could hurt us with?! R Spectrum: I thought they DIDN'T! Randy: WELL CLEARLY THEY DO! R Spectrum: A fact I shall make note of. In the meantime, you'd best kill the Pot Scorpion before it can stab you again. Randy grunts and glares in no direction in particular. Randy: Indeed. R Spectrum lunges forward again, this time slashing with one sword, then the other, so the Pot Scorpion won't have such a simple time blocking. He imbues both swords with Light energy, in the hopes that it would kill the Heartless that much faster. D Spectrum: Hey! Don't ignore me! D Spectrum fires two more Solar Shots into the Pot Centipede's face, then stomps the ground to bring forth another small batch of Creepworms. Once again, the Creepworms kamikaze-tackle the Pot Spiders in an attempt to make them detonate while they were NOT in close proximity to the group. Pausing briefly, D Spectrum ponders how else he could get the Spiders to explode, and decides to try firing a couple Solar Shots into a particularly dense group of them. Netto, meanwhile, stabs GungnirSP into any Pot Spiders that try to circle around the pillar and attack him directly. With each stab, he infuses a bit of Light energy. For those Spiders that manage to survive these stabs and continue attacking, Netto fires shots from the Solar Gun still in his hand. Wielding said gun made guiding his spear a bit more difficult, but overall, it was worth it. Netto's Custom: 7/8 Netto's Chips: GunDelSol1 (blue gun; CrossD. Spectrum's left hand), GunDelSol2 (red gun; Netto's left hand), GunDelSol3 (yellow gun; CrossD. Spectrum's right hand), Shadow (turn 3/4) CrossD. Fusion recharge: Turn 4/8 Randy's Custom: 4/8 Randy's Chips: AirSword (Randy's right hand), AirSword (Randy's left hand), PopUp R Spectrum's current SubType: Wind (also Aqua from AquaCustom Style) SpectrumΩ's Equipped Programs: AquaCustom Style (Bubbler charged) Damage taken by SpectrumΩ: 7.5% |
