Chizu took a deep breath and tilted her head back, wiping the sweat from her forehead as the wind around her hands dispersed, blowing away from her in harmless gusts. She straightened up, looking at the target she had hung from the tree. There were three or four holes in it that looked a little bit like stab wounds, except they were mostly scattered all over it, and the closest one barely touched the edge of the red circle she had painted on the target. She sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly as she pushed her hair out of her face. She tugged on her ponytail, adjusting it so that it was tighter. She had been trying to make long-range attacks that were actually accurate, turning the air into a dart instead of one sweeping blade. But like most new techniques, that wasn't going so well. Back to the drawing board, I guess, she said, walking over to the bottle of water beside the tree and taking a long sip. She stretched muscles that were sore from the physical training that she had done earlier and blinked a few times to try and clear up the small headache that was beginning to form. Her arms were still bandaged from the battle at the Black Tower, but that had never stopped her from fighting. Chizu closed her eyes and dumped the rest of the water over her head to cool herself off, putting the empty bottle down. She opened her eyes and shook her head slightly as she called wind into her hands again. One more time, and we'll call it a day, |

"You never were a quitter, neh, Chizu-chan?" High up in the branches of the trees, a man robed in black had been watching her practice. He'd only just arrived there, but judging from the scene and the person he was observing, he could tell what had been going on. This silver haired girl, once selected to be his personal soldier against Kyrios. Once chosen to be schooled by him in training methods, had come a long way. Kinclex sat in the tree branch, knowing all too well the reception he'd recieve once she spotted him. His face, as usual, was emotionless, just like his voice. He then spoke again, "There is such a thing as foolish training. Putting your arms through such strain is only going to make them worse later. Believe me, I know the pains a body can suffer." The last part was perhaps a bit of a jab at Chizu, poking at her old memories as well as to the fact that the body's pains and the heart's pains where two different things. |

The voice all but shattered her concentration, the dart that she was forming falling apart before she could make it stable. She turned around sharply so that she was facing Kinclex, and without saying a word, shot a blast of air into the tree. The blast was dull and if it made contact, it would hurt, but it wouldn't cause any serious damage. On the off chance that it did hit, it would likely knock Kinclex out of the tree. Chizu's eyes narrowed dangerously as she faced him. She knew that that blast wasn't going to do anything, but she wanted to get the first strike in. The wind immediately rushed towards her, and if Kinclex was perceptive enough, he would notice that all the currents of wind in the area were now pointing in her direction. The dust rose around her feet in a circle as she faced him. "My arms..." she began, glaring at him, "...are none of your business. What the f--- are you doing here, Kinclex?" It was obvious that if Kinclex was hoping for a civil conversation, he was not going to get it here. Chizu clenched her fists. The betrayal still hurt, and the humiliation from the loss she suffered in AcaBel was still fresh. There would be no peaceful conversation with Kinclex now. |

Kinclex saw the airblast coming. Needless to say, he had already been dropping backwards, so when it did finallly hit it just gave him the momentum he needed to be pushed backwards out of the tree. After flipping over once on his descent, the Nobody landed gracefully on his feet, looking at Chizu and letting the slight impression of a smile creep onto his face. She'd gotten better, truely. Compared to her previous blasts several years ago to now, she'd been refining it quite well. Kinclex fold his harm, extending one towards Chizu, and slowly moving it about as he spoke, "Come now Chizu. Is that anyway to speak to a former teacher?" he was arrogant to call himself that, but the fact remained he had trained her once upon a time. "I simply wanted to see how you were progressing with your light skills. After all, the heartless are getting strong by the day." Kinclex smiled a small devlish grin, "Out of the lot of you that I fought here last, you're seeming to bet he only one incapable of forming a keyblade yet." Kinclex knew about Chizu's anger and was playing it at every turn. After all, emotions are what inspire someone to act and find power deep within themselves. At least, if you weighed down by a heart. Its so much easier to get power without having to sift through things like love, hate and friendship. "I figured maybe I could find out what the hold up is. Of course I could ask Nickle to do it for me, but he seems to have his hands full lately." Kinclex's smile was still on his face, even though he knew he was putting it on. What would her reaction be he wondered? |

Kinclex had touched a nerve. Chizu's eyes widened for a moment as he mentioned the keyblade, all the frustration she had been feeling about not getting one yet rushing at her all at once. She wasn't blind and deaf. She knew that she had the potential to get a Keyblade, it was why she was considered a Keyblade Squire in the first place. But how many fights would she have to go through before she could finally get a Keyblade of her own? "That's none of your business, and I'll talk to you however I damn want!" she said, finally. She didn't say the words that were at the tip of her tongue--that it was his fault for betraying her. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction. |

Kinclex shook his head, "You still have that temper I see. Suppose that's one thing I could never teach you to control as I was before." Truth be told, Kinclex's own control over his emotions before losing his heart hadn't been much better. However, now that he had no emotions to hinder his judgement, things were much different. He looke at the young aeromancer, seeing her expressions and emotions so easily and clearly. She was an open book. "Come now Chizu. We both know that up until now I have done nothing wrong. I simply have given you and the others a gruelling training session to enhance your abilities. I've been destroying the dark forces even before keybladers came to be. Otherwise, a lot more worlds might have been destroyed in the process." Kinclex slowly began to advance towads Chizu, hell it looked even slower than slow, "Focus that anger towards the heartless. It will do you no good bottling it up and keeping it ready for me." |

Chizu bit back her retort, glaring at him instead as he commented on her temper. At least she still had a temper, which was better than being anything like the coldhearted bastard that stood in front of her. She clenched her fists tightly, the wind beginning to pick up. It howled through the trees as it came and surrounded her, twisting around her in a chaotic spiral that showed her anger clearly even if she didn't say anything in response. When Kinclex began stepping towards her, the tension in the air snapped. Chizu let out a shout and charged forward towards him with all the suddenness of a cracking whip. She drew back her fist, the wind encasing it as she attempted to punch him right in the face. She wanted to fight. It was better than doing nothing. And it was certainly better than thinking about what he was saying and what he had done. She had been taken in by a line of crap before, courtesy of Kyrios. Kinclex wasn't going to get to her again by feeding her the same drivel. She had nothing against destroying the Heartless, but they were going to die on her terms, and not his. She never intended to trust him again. |

Kinclex stopped now and stood there, hands now in his pockets as the wind swirled around him and caused the ends of his coat to whip forwards towards Chizu. His glacier blue eyes did not deter and remained focussed on her as she summoned her powers around her. When she moved forward, Kinclex couldn't help but smile, feeling the memory of an emotion. She had improved. It was true that now he could move faster than before, but Chizu, was moving practically at the speeds he was once moving at, just slightly slower. If she moved any faster, it would look as if she was teleporting. Her wind boosted fist however, was caught deftly by Kinclex, his left hand easly wrapping around her little fist. He kept smiling, "Oh my, where did you find this strength?" His gauntlets and grieves began to materialize around his arms and legs in whisps of darkness, his eyes locked with Chizu's. |

Chizu grinned at his question, but it didn't make her look amused. More than anything, it looked like the way a wolf bared its fangs before it attacked. "No secret," she said, "I worked myself to the ground every day for two years." There were days when she hated it, even days when she skipped it, but overall she had kept at it--out of pride, and out of necessity. And it had paid off. It paid off. She hadn't noticed before, when she was getting tossed around like a rag doll by every single villain in Hyakuji, but after the fight with Kaito, she realized it more and more. In physical strength, at least, she had grown. At first she wanted power for revenge. Then, she wanted it to protect her friends. Now, she wanted it for two things--to beat back the Heartless...and to defeat Kinclex. This time, it was personal. She pulled up her knee and kicked outwards. The kick had the force of the wind behind it, and if successful, would drive her foot into Kinclex's stomach. She hoped that even Kinclex wasn't above getting the wind knocked out of him. |

Kinclex smirked, "Sounds tedious." Chizu's kick was quick and it connected, causing Kinclex to be shoved backwards, having to flip over and clutch his stomach momentarily. She had been improving... However, he was far from done. He looked at her, the smile fading from his face. "Chizu, even with all your talk of training, you're still not strong enough to summon the power of light needed to deal with the heartless fully. Let me, help you extract it." Kinclex lowered himself into a figter's stance. The air around the area seemed to ring for a moment before he began his attack. He dissappeared from his spot, but then appeared on both sides of Chizu at the same time, although he was facing opposite directions. Four of him then appeared in front of Chizu and then eventually 2 or three all around her. None were real. All were mirages and afterimages he'd left of himself. His speed had increased far beyond that of what he had had before. It was almost frightening. But then the real Kinclex revealed himself. He was low to the ground, his leg sweeping out from behind Chizu to knock her off her feet. Whether she dodged and realized this was the real thing or not, Kinclex would use his momentum to spin around and stand up. If Chizu had been knocked down by the leg swipe, Kinclex would aiming one hand and fire a volley of gattling bolts down at her while she lay on the floor. If not, he prepared them to fire at her if she had dodged and was preparing to retaliate. |

Fast. Chizu's eyes widened as she looked around, following Kinclex with her eyes. The moment she caught sight of him, he was gone, going to the next place. She didn't even realize her mouth was open, her face frozen in an expression of shock. When did he get this fast?!? His leg swiped out at hers, seemingly out of nowhere, and Chizu went tumbling towards the dirt. "Oof," she said as she landed, her palms out to break her fall. She quickly moved, pushing up with her arms and lifting her legs so that she launched herself into the air. The bolts of lightning hit the ground where she had been just a second ago, some of them catching her leg and one of them hitting her heel. She ignored the burns and flipped in the air, twisting so that when she landed, she was facing Kinclex. The wind whipped around him suddenly and quickly, forming a circle. The circle surged inwards, a blast of wind coming at him from all sides. It traveled quickly, so that all of this was accomplished in the space of a second. "Don't talk to me about the light, bastard. You're not my teacher anymore." |

"It's a shame isn't it." he said, dropping into a low stance. He couldn't avoid the incoming wind, so all he could do was steady himself to it so that he was buffetted around. Unfortunately that meant he had to take her attacks full force. He felt the air slam into his black robed frame, before it finally died down. His hair was hanging over his face, no longer neatly tucked behind his face. He stood in that position for a moment, his hair and slightly lowered head covering his face from Chizu's view. "You have gotten better. I wasn't expecting that." His head jerk up slightly, a single blue eye looking at her from beneath the mane of hair. "It's a pity I couldn't train you myself. It would have changed your power from simply being strong, to devastating." Kinclex then began to stand up straight, his long hair parting to reveal his mouth and other portions of his face. "Now you're going to see how much I've improved." Kinclex's hands moved in front of him, so that he was looking at the palm of his right hand, while his rigth arm was vertical. In turn his left arm was parallel to his right, forming a cross. His fingers began to claw inward over the black lightning his was now summoning, his gauntlets igniting with the same power. Chizu would no doubt recognize the attack as being Kinclex's primary close range attack. However, this one was far more powerful, she could tell purely because the static electricity now present was causing her hair to stand on end. Kinclex was deadpan, looking at her as his own hair began to raise up around him. "Survive this and show me more of your improvement." He vanished, appearing just forward and to the right of where he was, doing a random zigzag towards Chizu before appearing right infront of her. But rather than throw his open palm strike towards her, he tossed it slightly up. It was one of the bombs from before. The one that had taken out Liz in her sturdious rider form before in a single shot. The other, was the real open palm thunder strike. The lightning exploded, it's radius being large, and in that moment, unfazed by his own lightning, Kinclex thrust his arm out and into Chizu's chest to deliver the attack. |

Chizu's eyes widened as her hair began to stand on end from the sheer force of Kinclex's attack. The circle of wind around her recoiled from the lightning, visibly blowing back and sending a sheet of dust rippling around her leg. He started moving towards her, and Chizu's eyes could barely follow his movements. He zigzagged through the air with ease, at a speed she couldn't hope to match. Chizu. Her heart pounded so hard and so quickly that she could hear it. She was sure he could too. Once. Twice. In the space of two heartbeats he was there. She could see his hands in slow motion...could see them, but couldn't do anything to attack, or to defend herself. She knew that it was the end. She couldn't survive that, not this close. It was over. So ends the aeromancer. Chizu. Her eyes widened, her breath tearing itself from her throat. Static electricity crackled up her arms. It threatened to engulf her. The wind at her back felt so small, so feeble. What could she do against the storm? In the end, what could the gale do against the tempest? But in that one moment, she realized something. There...calling her name...that was not Aether's voice. That's right... ...I am... ...Chizu Yamamura... She raised her arms in an x position as Kinclex bore down on her, a weak attempt to save herself, as she closed her eyes and her world faded into black lightning. Lightning tore through the area she was in, crackling and burning and destroying. The grass at her feet was uprooted and burned, leaving behind only a fine ash. Thunder boomed throughout the area as lightning cut through her feeble shield of wind like a hot knife through butter. A curtain of dirt and debris flew up around Kinclex's attack. The curtain fell away, revealing empty earth and no aeromancer. "Don't..." The sound was soft, and lacking of the bravado she had earlier, but it carried with it its own inner strength. A strength that Chizu had not known she possessed. "...underestimate...me..." If Kinclex turned around, he would see Chizu in the air behind him. Burn marks marred her face, searing holes in some of her clothing. The bandages around her arms were a ripped mess, and Chizu slowly reached up a hand and pulled them off, letting the wind blow them away from her. Her hair blew behind her, burned at the edges. Blood ran freely from a cut down her face. But she was alive, because she had moved. And she was floating. Hovering was probably a more accurate term. She seemed to stand on nothing but solid air, bobbing up and down slightly as she tried to steady the air currents below her. She kept her eyes fixed for Kinclex. The red color seemed to have intensified in them, hardening them until they were almost rubies. The wind beneath her feet fell slowly, a whirlwind visible around her for a moment as she descended, touching solid ground again. Chizu. Yes. "What did you want to see?" she asked slowly, quietly, an edge to her voice that had not been there before. |

A smile now crept up onto Kinclex's face. Wait? Am I enjoying this? Chizu, you're too much. Hehehe. Kinclex stood still, his eyes locking with hers. Her blood only seemed to enhance the power of those eyes. She was improving and it seemed he had succeeded. Something dormant inside her had awakened, at least he could only hope it had. With this power, the heartless would fall beneath her and Kingdom Hearts would slowly grow in and grow until he was complete again. Kinclex matched her tone, "I wanted to see a warrior emerge. I wanted to see a strong lightwielder come forth." He folded his arms, "It seems that last little push was all you needed, to let her out." Kinclex stood there, comtemplating what to do. Would he continue this fight? He had the power to do so, however... For her to hold onto the emotions she was feeling now. To let them grow, to let her heart run rampant through the heartless hordes. Kinclex smiled, "Something that may prove useful to you in the future. A phrase that will allow you to confront if not me, but others." "Ten pieces unlock two keys and Two keys grant insight and safety. Never lasting, they provide a brief chance. With only one, the chance becomes even slimmer. Form the keys and seek the shadow to all things." Kinclex then spoke deadpan after reciting the phrase, "Figure it out." |

Force of will held the wind in check. It was the only thing that could. The wind had stirred up around her as Kinclex spoke, wanting to attack him as much as she did. She could understand that now. She realized that she could feel that now. But she held it back, her eyes narrowed as she glared at him. She remembered that he claimed that the first time had been a test. She wouldn't put it past him. She remembered what he was like, even before becoming a Nobody. So was this a test as well? And if it was, had she passed this time? She really hated these games. She hated riddles more, especially since the last time she had been forced to solve them, she had failed horribly. But then again, she had also failed horribly when first fighting against Kinclex. Chizu? That...that was Aether's voice this time. Yeah, she said in reply. She knew what Aether was asking before he could ask it. Got it memorized. Aether didn't reply, and Chizu continued to hold Kinclex's gaze. She hated these games. But she understood that if she followed the riddle, she might have the power to stop them. Assuming he wasn't lying, of course. "So...?" she asked, "We're done?" She could have kept up the fight. She wanted to. But she recognized an ending when she saw it--Chizu wasn't stupid, even when she acted like it. She wondered for a moment if Nobodies got injured the same way as normal human beings. Because she knew the force her wind blasts held, and if they did, she hoped Kinclex enjoyed being purple from neck to waist. Edited by Chizu, Jan 19 2010, 09:29 AM.
