Well, alright then. These guys didn't like the keyblade any more than the Heartless had. That was something on his side at least. He swallowed. He just had to keep going then. They were on guard now though. He could call up a second storm but he couldn't say for sure that he would get lightning. Well, even if he didn't know for sure it might be good enough.

Erin swept his hand in a circle over his head. "Let's try for another!" Black clouds formed over the elves before him as the first set waned. The water began to pour from above them. He lifted up the keyblade. There would be a bolt soon enough so he just had to cut down any of them who ran. He shifted his legs, light on his feet and ready to attack.

A bolt of lightning cracked down from above. Erin bound toward them, slashing his blade in a wide arc. This was more than a little terrifying, wasn't it? A second bolt came down right behind him as he stepped... He probably shouldn't have dashed through his own storm.

Jen whirled around just in time to see that the bullet that narrowly missed her found its mark on the head of one of the undead elves, piercing through its eye socket before violently exiting through the back of its skull, taking with it half of its brains. "BOOM! Headshot!" the purple-haired girl commented as she put a distance between herself and the undead elf. Apparently they now saw whoever was firing those bullets as a far greater threat than herself, screeching loudly before vanishing into the thickets to stalk whoever just saved her.

"At last! I needed a god-damned breather!" Jen breathed a sigh of relief as she leaned back against a nearby tree, fanning herself with the collar of her T-shirt. A stench of burned dessicated flesh and the sound of twigs snapping underfoot quickly told the girl that she wasn't alone as she looked over her shoulder, spotting another three undead elves. Judging from the burns on their bodies and their damaged limbs, Jen surmised that they were the ones who had been caught in the blast of her gas canister grenade. "Oh, hi!" Jen waved at the undead elves, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"My, I must be really popular, ain't I? For you to risk your limbs like this?" Jen quipped in a tone of feigned innocence. All right, if I can survive six undamaged ones, three damaged ones shouldn't be too much of a problem..." The purple-haired American thought as she stood with her feet slightly spaced apart and her hands, clenched into fists, by her side, similar to the natural stance, or Hachiji dachi as Karate practicioners called it. Jen noted with slight interest the black flames bursting from their wounds, wondering if those flames gave off heat. If they do, she certainly hoped she still had some of her homemade thermite concoction on her, made out of boredom at AHS' labs using aluminum powder and iron oxide.

The leader of the pack attempted to screech, but its damaged throat made no sound save for a jet of black flame escaping from its torn larynx as Jen entered into another fighting stance, placing her right foot forward and raising her fists. She'd originally thought this would be like something out of Resident Evil, but with the way things were going, she felt more like she was acting in a new installment of The Mummy. Either way, she wouldn't want to find out if those flames burn or not by touching those elves, but instead chose to play on the defensive, ready and attempting to read the elves' movements to get an idea of what their next move might be.

Gin watched at the undead elves gathered together in to a formation pulling out shield. His smirk faded, he had hoped they would all come at him at once given that he was unarmed at the moment, but instead they decided to group up and try to surround him. It was interesting enough they were smart enough to use strategy but still this was making this fight boring. If they had rushed in he could have had a little more fun with them.

Gin let out a small huff. “Smart ass zombies.” He said as he crossed his left arm across his chest. When he did this his sword still imbedded in the head one of zombies glow white and then vanished leaving a hole with flames coming out, in the zombie’s head where the sword had been. A light appear in Gin’s left and as he swung it out. His sword reappeared in his hand. If the zombies were going to start getting smart with him he would not allow them to have too much of an advantage, plus if the undead corpse did do something interesting to keep his interest Gin would probably decide to bring this little game to an end and unleash true form.

His eyes narrowed on the zombies as they started to try to flank him on his sides. He sighed, “they are greatly under estimating me…” He said with a sigh and in a low voice. To be under estimated by the dead was annoying. Gins legs bent slight as the Zombies elves started to encircle him on the sides. What happened next would be hard to catch if one was not paying close attention.

One second Gin was there and the next he flickered and seemingly vanished. It would look like he had teleported of made himself invisible but this was not the case since Gin lack ether of those abilits. What he had done was use his human bodies inhuman strength and speed the swiftly jump high in to the air. The move was fast enough to give the illusion that he had teleported her vanished. In a matter of seconds Gin would turn himself while in the air and land behind the group.

He had made his sword disappeared before landing. He quickly reached for the back of the head of the two closest zombies and attempted to slam there head in to one another in to give them meeting of the minds as one might say. Gin didn’t hold back his strength when he did this, if they had been normal elves their head would be a blood mush with in their flatten helmets with hand print dented in to the sides of each helmet.

Gin swiftly moved back way from the group after attempting his attack He was not sure what effect it would have on the zombies but he was sure enough that staying that close would only get him stabbed. He landed a few yards back from them bringing his sword back out again.

Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.
The column of flame engulfed Vielle as soon as she got her hands around the sword. As the black fire jet cleared, Vielle was no longer on the ground, having been blown high into the air. But her body was far from limp. Repositioning herself in the air, she landed on her feet on the other side of Deldassa, slowly turning towards him.

Vielle had taken meteors to the face before. Not without a good deal of injury, but she had taken them. Her divine Valkyrja's armor had protected her somewhat, but it was made more to defend against physical damage than magical. Against something like a jet of fire, Vielle had only her toughness to stand up against it. Fortunately for her, she was very, very tough.

"That will cost you."

She was badly burned. While she had seen worse, and with her regenerative abilities, she would be fully healed by the next day, in the meantime the damage was severe. But she could endure the pain. Right now, she was more focused on taking down her enemy. She sheathed The Elemental Blade, opting to stay with Atrocity. Not for any particular reason, but merely because it was her favored sword. She didn't care if it was Ein's fight anymore. This person has burned her, and he was going to die.

Her face was stoic as she readied her armor breaking sword. Watching Ein fight ahead of her, she noted that she was more adept of a fighter than she had expected. When they had first met, she wasn't even sure if he was a fighter at all. While Deldassa was attacking Ein, she would attack him from behind. She went into the fight.

Five times per second. In the time it takes to blink, she has struck. At this speed, her attack is no longer slashes of a sword, it is a storm. The moment Deldassa reaches out to grab Ein, the storm of a sword moves to cut him into pieces.

Ein's was about to continue slashing Del into pieces, however his eyes widened when he saw the black flame reconnecting Del together. "Wha-?! GCK!!!" Ein's words were cut short as a hand wrapped around his throat. "This bastard isn't living!" That single thought passed through his mind. The way he had just reconnected a limb without any trouble had essentially proved.

Ein focused his magic and light to his left hand and grabbed Del by the arm, his reach being slightly shorter. He didn't notice however, Del's arm go translucent, until he felt the hand go straight through him. "What the hell?!" Again, Ein was cut short as he suddenly felt as if his entire body was burning, yet at the same time it wasn't a physical pain. It felt like his mind was on fire which through him into confusion, and rage. "GRGH!" Ein grunted in pain as he proceeded to use his other arm to try and slash Del away and put distance between them. In this state of rage and pain, his judgment was heavily affected.

Oh dear. Now they were circling him. This wasn't good. He needed to quickly fix this. He wasn't fond of being stabbed from multiple directions. The best way he could think of for this would be to break the circle by aiming for it's weakest point. The only ISSUE with that was that these undead warriors were all about the same strength, the weak ones were still down.

Then he came up with an idea. He quickly grabbed onto his sword, placing it back into it's sheath. He was going to need this for what he was about to try. He reached into his coat and pulled out another bottle of water. He then ran at one of the undead warriors, the one closest to the other wounded undead. He fired off a quick burst of water at it, again infused with light. If this zombie went and dodged it, then chances where that the magic would strike one or more of the injured ones. If not.....well, he's figure something out then.

Chizu placed her foot back on the ground as she landed from her spin, the wind around her dying down as the undead were knocked back. Her hair moved in all directions from the wind around her as she glanced over her shoulder at the charging undead. The circle of wind had not simply been a blunt attack. It had been slightly sharp.

From where she stood, Chizu quickly matched her consciousness with that of the wind. It resisted, and for a moment, her awareness dimmed dangerously. The moment passed quickly, and Chizu felt her senses expand. She wasn't good enough yet to feel all the wind in the area, but at this close proximity, she could feel the cuts her circle had made on the advancing undead.

Her eyes narrowed. Almost unnoticed to everyone else, the wind began to fan outwards, getting absorbed into the cuts that she made. Chizu compressed the air beneath her feet and let it go, letting the resulting force propel her into the air and away from the attack. She bit her lip in concentration as she continued to push more air into the cuts, compressing the air deeper and deeper into what she hoped was the bodies of the undead.

Her fists clenched as she landed on the ground, her back to the zombies. A smirk appeared on Chizu's face as she raised her hand, then quickly brought it down. As she did so, all the compressed air would suddenly explode outwards.

The end result would hopefully be a series of nine very messy explosions.

Areno smiled. "Aw come on fellas. I didn't mean to spook yah." he said as he looked out from the top of his chain-gun, looking for where the zombies might have gotten off to. They were obviously hiding, but shooting off like a madman wouldn't do him any good. That and he could actually hit the friendlies that were in here with him. So what could he do?

Areno stroked his chin for a moment as his pistols dissolved and dissappeared beneath his coat in a swarm of nanobots, while the chaingun remained there. "Suppose I gotta light this place up." He formed a sub-machine gun his right hand, while in his left hand, he formed a flare gun. It wasn't much, but it would at least light the place up. Aiming for the trees, Areno fired three flares in different directions, before catching a glimpse of the little buggers in the trees.

Using his feet, Areno swivilled the chain-gun towards the group and levelled the sub-machine gun towards the zombies. "Ya can't do whatcha want, cause a zombie ain't free. You are a zombie~" And with that the dark trees were lit up by green gunfire as Areno's boot slammed onto the chaingun's trigger, while his finger closed in on the sub-machinegun's one.

NICE DRIVE!
As the battle raged on something began to change. Reality seemed as if it were coming apart itself. The sky above the deep woods inverted and it looked almost as if the clouds themselves were flowing upwards into nothigness. Huge cracks began to errupt through the ground and a great rumbling echoed all across the land. The very world of Florencia itself was falling apart.

In truth, the efforts of those that had gathered had been in vain. Somewhere else, far away in a secluded cave forgotten with the ages the Heartless had discovered their goal; the Ark. The Ark of Florencia not only held deep importance to the residents of the world but in truth it contained the World's Heart. Like Hyakuji, Florencia's World Heart was devoured by the Heartless and slowly it began to fall apart.

Those present who hailed from Hyakuji would instantly reconize what was going on. However, there was nothing that could be done. All present were stuck as the world vanished into darkness. Luckily though, this was not their end...

====

Nobody could tell how long they'd descended into the darkness but it seemed, at least for those who had come to help fight the Heartless, they had some protection from destruction much like the inhabitants of Hyakuji originally held. All at once they were expelled from the thick blackness finding themself in a dark decaying city. Most of the city was cast in darkness but a skyscraper here or there still held its lights.

In the far distance a glorious castle stood carved from some pure white stone. However, most surprising was the gigantic moon hanging above in the sky as the primary source of light for the entire area; it was in the shape of a Heart. Before they really had time to get their bearings though, it appeared they were not alone.

They had appeared a bit off to the side in a small square acting as something of a crossroads for several streets. Seating in the center of this square was the Nobody Xiroh seated in a meditative state. All around him various swords were lodged into the ground slathered in the blackness that could only result from battling Heartless.

A split second later one of his eyes flicked open and darted over noticing the new arrivals. "Interesting, you people shouldn't be here at all..." he mumbled softly to himself as he slowly rose to his feet and began to pace towards the group. Upon getting closer his eyes darted from person to person studying them carefully.

The silence was nigh awkward but after a few more moments Xiroh continued in a dry tone of dissapointment, "You failed. Maybe Xemnas convincing us to trust in your power was the first fault he's ever made. Florencia is gone and now another world has entered the encompassing darkness that the Heartless bring. I hope you can understand what you've done... you just allowed millions of people... no, not even that... animals, plants.... cultural developments, rich history and wisdom... you let an entire universe be destroyed."

Xiroh's words held a biting tone and finishing this he turned from the group as he gazed off into the distance towards the castle. "Anyways," he continued, "I'm not sure what it is about you people that saves you from the destruction, but don't get attached. If the Heartless are allowed to continue eventually there won't be any worlds left and I imagine at that point that little safety net won't save you then."

Everything all of a sudden just STOPPED. It was bizzare. Everything then began to just fall apart. It felt like the ground they were standing apart was being shredded from beneath them. "What in the name of Zer-" He yelled out in surprise before falling backwards and falling into a small crevice as it formed. He found himself falling down, deeper and deeper into darkness below, the light from above slowly fading out.

He didn't know how much time passed since then. All he knew was that it was someplace dark. He slowly rose to his feet with a groan. Oh dear lord did that ever hurt. What just happened? He looked around, noting this to be nothing like Florencia. Where were they? What had just happened?

That was when a strange man who was already there spoke up. And said something that shook Meglumar to the very core.

No

No, that couldn't be.

He fell to his knees, his face showing no emotion. But beneath his expressionless facade there was a great pain. A great sense of guilt. He had failed. Florencia was GONE. He couldn't save it.

Chizu was so used to suddenly having to fight. She wasn't, however, used to suddenly having to stop. Her eyes widened as the scenery around them changed, her katars frozen in her hands as she looked at the scenery around her. No! she thought, her mouth opening in a silent scream. Not again! She was falling deeper and deeper into darkness.

Apparently, fate wasn't so kind. The next thing she knew, she was standing in front of some sort of castle. She took a deep breath, her eyes narrowed as she turned towards the person already there. She raised her blades, about to attack him when she realized who it was. She faltered for just a moment. "Tsukasa...sensei?" she asked, blinking. No, wait, it wasn't Tsukasa-sensei, it was someone else. One of them. One of those goddamn double-talking bastards.

Nobodies. In her mind, the word was like a curse word, and it might as well have been. None of her encounters with them had ever been good. She took another deep breath and repressed a shudder. That couldn't be...It wasn't her fault. It wasn't her fault! She glared at him as she tried to keep her emotions out of control, the wind speeding up around her as she faced him off.

Maybe...maybe she shouldn't have come by herself. What was she thinking, that she could lead an Arcadian mission all on her own? Just because she was senior enough to get a spirit weapon? She quickly forced those thoughts away. She could deal with them later. In the meantime, in her eyes there was another threat, and she wouldn't let anyone down again.

Vielle didn't put away her sword. She didn't feel guilt, regret, or remorse. Dular had stolen those things from her. She did, however, feel the overwhelming power of the man in front of her. If he decided to become hostile, she wasn't sure whether she would be able to stand up to him.

She knew Ein would be the most distraught, but she didn't know how she would go about consoling him, so she didn't bother. While Xiroh was talking, she took the time to resummon her Aura Blade just in case. She didn't know who this man was or what guild he was from, and a lifetime of battle had taught her to prepare for any unknown force becoming hostile.

That must be the guild's castle... she thought, glancing over the man's shoulder at the white structure. She briefly wondered if it housed an Emperium at its center like the castles of her world, but without Dular leading her guild, taking a castle wouldn't benefit her at all. She doubted that she could hold a castle against a guild with members of this man's strength anyway, even with her, Dular, and Dullios all together.

Vielle ultimately decided to stay out of the conversation. As far as she was concerned, it had little to do with her. She didn't fight to preserve the worlds or destroy the heartless. So she didn't really care who was who as long as no one was attacking her.

A gold lightning bolt shaped sword was jammed into the ground before Meglumar, Ein being the cause. One of his eyes was glowing green from Spiral energy, however his other one seemed to be turning pitch black, spreading along him like a plague slowly eating away at him. Ein was slowly being infected by the darkness. Ein simply seemed to stare at him with empty eyes, as his very world literally crumbled around him. He no longer had tears left in his eyes, and his rage had disappeared. Apparently, seeing himself lose everything...Just made him feel calm somehow. He could feel the world around them warping, until he found himself in a completely foreign area. If one looked at him though, they would know. Ein wasn't going to be spared from the same fate as his world, because from his feet up, it appeared he was fading into particles of light.

"It's not...Your fault..." Ein said with a sad smile. "I failed to protect my own land....And on top of that...." Ein said, covering his eye, as black markings appeared on a side of his face. "...Meglumar. It was short, but traveling worlds and meeting you was great fun." Ein placed one hand on top of the other on the hilt of his blade as he muttered something incoherent. As he finished, tiny green sparks ran from his excitedly down the blade as it glowed faintly.

"My heart will remain with my world. Blessed be I for my life, blessed be my loved ones, blessed be the future. Servant of the Gods, I pray thee accept my existence, and protect the future." He said in his native tongue, which would sound completely foreign to anyone not from the land. His sword glowed once again, pulsing as if saddened by it's master's words.

"Please Meglumar. Use my power to protect your world." Ein said, releasing the blade for Meglumar to take. Meanwhile, he slowly sat on his knees and closed his eyes, resigning himself to share the fate of his world, silently thanking it's demise at the same time, for before he would be taken by the darkness, the world would end his existence.

"Whoa! What the f**k?" Jen exclaimed as halfway through the battle the land began to experience a major upheaval. "Scheiße!" Jen fought to maintain her balance as the ground quaked and heaved, while overhead the sky itself seemed to vanish into nothingness as a black void consumed the firmament. Little did Jen know, she had witnessed firsthand a world in its death throes, just like what Hyakuji went through courtesy of the Heartless. By all means and accounts, it was similar to the hypothetical doomsday scenario known as "Death by Exotic Particles", something that alarmists had feared when researchers in Europe decided to test the Large Hadron Collider.

So this was the end then? Jen reached for her Smart Phone; hopefully, she could still have enough time to call home and let daddy know how much she loved him and mom. Before she knew it, everything seemed to turn black, and Jen lost track of all sense of time and place as her consciousness faded...

"Dies ist ein seltsam Scheiße!" Jen exclaimed in German. She didn't know how long it was since she blacked out, but strangely enough she found herself still alive and in one piece. Jen looked at her F74 smart phone - for once, it had no reception. Looking around, it soon became clear to the purple-haired bookworm that she wasn't in Florencia anymore.

"Whoa... am I in Ry'leh?" Jen mused as she surveyed the dilapidated city buildings around her, and the curious heart-shaped moon in the black sky, along with the grand-looking castle of white stone in the distance. Jen wouldn't have time to figure out where she was however, as she found herself being addressed by a stranger in black, whom the silver-haired girl Chizu seemed to recognize.

So that was what happened... while since her arrival in Traverse Town she had heard stories about the Heartless and the destruction they have caused, what she had experienced in Florencia was to witness firsthand to consumption of a world's heart and its resulting destruction.... and living to tell the tale.

"We'll see to it they won't!" Jen retorted, already getting somewhat tired of Xiroh's tone. Who does he think he is anyway?

"What?" He didn't know what had just happened but he certainly didn't like it. The Darkness enveloped him. In what seemed like an instant they were surrounded in a blackness. Did... did we lose? He had been fighting like a fool. He should have rushed to defend the heart or something instead of dealing with the enemies around him.

No, this wasn't the time to worry about that sort of thing. He heard Xiroh's words before the world was clear to him. Huh? "DAMN IT!" Erin cursed. How was he supposed to deal with this sort of thing. He was just a high school student. He gritted his teeth. What the hell was he supposed to do. It was a shock to lose the world while he had been fighting to protect it.

Back at Hyakuji he hadn't even known what was going on until too late. His world was pulled out from under him and he was lost and confused but this time it was different. He knew what would happen. He knew what had happened before. He was faced with his own failure to avert it. If he had been there fightin when Hyakuji had... He wasn't thinking about that.

Someone was in charge. Someone would rally them or something... He wanted someone to tell him what to do because he just didn't know. "Damn it." Things would work out... Please let it work out...
