Jen barely had time to gasp in surprise before the stench of grave soil and mummified flesh assails her nostrils, glancing up, the purple-haired girl noticed a shriveled figure jumping towards her and her compatriots! Before she could do anything however, Jen heard a gunshot from the distance and the undead warrior fell, its head pierced by a high-velocity round. What was the caliber of that thing? Jen could only guess. “Usurpers, you’ve no need to hide from me, your off-world stench makes your presence clear as day to me anyway. Why not join me? The dead need to stretch their legs.” The voice boomed again as more undead crawled out of the ground. Judging from the armor and weapons they held, Jen deduced that they were warriors in life.

“This place was once a great battlefield and these trees grew out of the blood of corpses of the fallen elves. And These creatures only the beginning, LET US SEE HOW LONG YOU LIVE!” The voice boomed as a black aura surrounded the undead elves, who eyed those present with a malevolent hunger before jumping in to attack!

"Heh, looks like all that playing of Resident Evil games is about to pay off," Jen mumbled to herself. So, fast-moving undead eh? She'd handled buggers like these when playing Resident Evil 4 and 5, as well as the entire House of the Dead quadrology. Now, if only she had that fully-upgraded S & W M500 .50 Magnum revolver with a firepower rating of 5000, reload speed of 3.18 seconds and ammo count of 6, along with the ability to pierce up to 3 targets in a single shot...

Wait, this is NOT Resident Evil! And Jen didn't have a gun!

"No matter..." The purple-haired girl continued her monologue. "I did manage to beat Resident Evil 4 on professional difficulty using only a knife and melee combos and without the use of first-aid sprays." The only time she needed to use firearms were against targets that can't be engaged in melee, such as during the boss fight with Ramon Salazar. Jen did her calculations as 10 undead elves converged on her location; the key thing was to avoid getting mobbed - again knife combat lessons in Resident Evil came into the picture; the key is to get the enemy to chase her as a group rather than spread out and surround her. Keep out of the enemy's reach, but stay just close enough for the one nearest to herself to lunge; avoiding a reckless attack as such shouldn't be difficult, and before the enemy can recover, strike them hard before following up with a blow to the center of gravity to knock them back into the group. Keep the enemy guessing, hit suddenly, hit hard - that was the key.

Jen stared at the incoming undead through a pair of narrowed purple eyes, her usual mirthful expression replaced by a SERIOUS BUSINESS game face as the purple-haired girl recapped all the martial arts books she read up on. She had some DEADITE asses to kick! Backing off from the advancing undead, the first phase of Jen's tactics was to stay well out of their reach. "Come on, I'm sure I still had one of those before I came to Traverse Town..." Jen muttered to herself as she reached into a side pouch on her bag to remove a small metal cylinder - it was an aerosol can of butane gas, the type used to refill lighters; however upon closer examination one would notice the nozzle assembly had been replaced with a homemade fuse - Jen had in her hands a DIY incendiary device!

With a small grunt, Jen pulled out the safety ring, initiating the countdown sequence - six seconds delay. Looking over her shoulder, Jen pitched her hand backwards, aiming to throw the can into the thick of the group pursuing her and have it explode right in the middle of their ranks for maximum area of effect!

"Wh-what the hell?!?" asked Chizu, looking down from the tree as a shot sailed right over their heads and people began congregating down there. She recognized Meglumar and, unfortunately, Jennifer, but the others were completely new faces to her. Completely new and loud faces. "Why'd you all come to this particular tree?!?"

She'd never find the answer to that, because it looked like Deldassa noticed them too. How could he not notice them, with all the screaming going on from this end of the forest? Chizu cursed out loud when she saw the undead monsters coming at her, doing a quick head count. This was bad. Bad bad bad. She got to her feet, balancing on the branch as about ten of them came straight for her. What was wrong with Arcadia?!? Why weren't they coming to the rescue?

"Arcadia, we need help in Florencia! We're outnumbered 10 to 1!"

"Lavender here; we're in Shinya right now... there's a MAJOR Heartless problem on our hands right now. I hate to say this, but you and the others at Florencia will need to hold out on your own for the time being. I'll see if I can contact sponsor GLADIUS to send reinforcements to the scene, over."

"F***!" cursed Chizu, jumping out of the tree quickly as the undead elves began climbing up to get her. She landed on the ground, the air slowing her fall enough for her to land safely. Even so, she hit the ground running, heading straight towards Meglumar. Her heart was beating so fast that it was almost hard to breathe. Chizu wouldn't deny getting scared once in a while before a fight. The difference between her and a coward was that she used that fear to make her fight.

"You heard that?" she asked Meglumar, "We're on our own."

She faced the undead elves in front of her, her eyes narrowing as the wind began to pick up, flowing into a vertical line in front of her. The line looked like a slash through the air, and it was glowing a faint blue. Chizu reached into the line with both hands, her right hand closing around something on the top and her left hand closing around something on the bottom. She quickly pulled them apart, revealing a pair of katars that rested over her knuckles. The wind blew wildly around her from the force of their summoning, blowing her hair back as she faced her opponents. The kanji for storm glowed brightly on each katar, near the grip.

Tatsumaki, the name Chizu had given to the one blade pulled apart to make these two. It was one of the perks for being in Arcadia for so long.

"So don't f****** die," she told Meglumar, before charging into the fray. Chizu moved like lightning, attempting to thrust her right blade right into the gut of the first undead elf to reach her while her left blade moved to cut across the neck of the second one. At the same time, the wind around her suddenly spread outwards, hopefully throwing any other pursuers off and buying her the split seconds she needed to turn around and deal with them.

And in the endless pause there came the sound of bees.
The constant churning of the earth around them all stirred a loamy scent into the air, the necromancy spell’s potency now going into overdrive as dozens of undead clambered slowly upwards from their rightful resting place. It wasn’t another few seconds afterwards before one of them was already tearing its way towards the group, catching virtually everyone off-guard in what could have possibly been a veritable tragedy. As if from on-high however, the echo of a gunshot tore through the night sky, felling the undead with a single bullet capped into its rotting skull. Somebody out there was a damn good shot. Reika sadly didn’t have time to contemplate the headshot further, as the sorcerer’s voice echoed through the dark forest once more.

“Usurpers, you’ve no need to hide from me, your off-world stench makes your presence clear as day to me anyway. Why not join me? The dead need to stretch their legs.” More undead came now, wielding armor and weaponry as well as looking generally frightful. What was with all the bodies lying around here, anyway? There must’ve been quite a battle here at one point, and a rather violent one at that.

“This place was once a great battlefield and these trees grew out of the blood of corpses of the fallen elves. And These creatures only the beginning, LET US SEE HOW LONG YOU LIVE!” Well jeez, the ancient sorcerer didn’t have to take all the mystery out of it…sheesh. Much worse than his hasty exposition however, was his army of undead warriors now barreling towards them at full speed. Yep, things had gotten serious. It was time to use…that power.

Reika had yet to use her powers for anything other than a bit of personal amusement, but now was the time. She certainly wasn’t going to be intimidated by some old fart and his zombies, that much was certain. Closing her eyes for only a moment, Reika reached upwards and above her head, her thumb and index finger extended, before pinching together in the air and generating a crackle of blue energy, which formed instantly into a baseball visor.

“Top of the first inning…and Toro Hashi’s up to bat,” Reika murmured beneath her breath solemnly, before lowering the visor to her forehead. The instant the visor settled into its rightful place, the change happened. Her dirty blue overalls and blue t-shirt were gone in a bright flash of swirling cobalt blue sparks, the sapphire-tinted points of light coalescing instantly into a crisp baseball uniform that covered her from shirt to cleats. The letters “HASHI” emblazoned upon her chest, Reika's entire demeanor changed, a deadly serious gaze now staring back at the group of undead scrambling towards her. Wordlessly she flexed her right hand, calling her baseball bat into its grip, while her trusty baseball occupied the other.

“The pitcher makes his choice,” Reika began, eyes unwavering from her oncoming opponents, “And here’s the pitch…” The magenta-haired player’s very voice had even changed, from the pitch of a typical schoolgirl to a very low, almost contralto range that made her sound more than twenty years older. They were coming in fast, but Reika was ready. Tension – no, more like excitement rushed through her veins, her eagerness now more than matched by her ability to back it up. It would be her first real fight ever...was she ready?

“Usurpers, you’ve no need to hide from me, your off-world stench makes your presence clear as day to me anyway. Why not join me? The dead need to stretch their legs.” Gin could hear the man in the cloak say as this undead armor continued to rise up. It would appear that he was not the only one to have been drawn here by the activities of the necromancer. Gin wondered who the others that the necromancer spoke of were and if they could be of any use to him.

“This place was once a great battlefield and these trees grew out of the blood of corpses of the fallen elves. And these creatures only the beginning, LET US SEE HOW LONG YOU LIVE!” This little speech caught Gins ear next, it seem the necromancer wanted to use the other at fighting dummies for just risen army. “Heh this should be fun to watch.” Gin said to himself as his grin got bigger. He would get to see just what strength this man’s army had and maybe get to see some possible inter loppers get hacked to bits. Good times, good times.

Gin’s good mood was suddenly spoiled when her hear something from belong and happened to look down. Below him he saw 10 of the undead elves at the base of the tree he was on looking up at him. Two of them had begun to climb up the tree after him. The grin on Gin’s face faded in to a frown. “Oh come on your coming at me as well…” apparently the Necromancer has detected him as well and was lumping him in with that other group. “tsk… this is rather insulting… though… this would be a perfect chance to see how strong these corpses of his really are first hand and see how much use to me this man is.

Gin brought his left hand up to his right shoulder, crossing it in front of his chest. In one swift motion he swung it down to his left his and as he did there was a flash of light. As his left hand came to rest at his hip it was now holding a sword in its grip. Gin had just summoned his dragon blade. Normally he would not bother to bring it out for something like this but eh he did feel like wasting a lot of time on this.

“Well, here I good.” Gin said looking down at the Evlse h were about half way up the tree to him. Falling forward Gin stepped off the branch he was on and jumped downwards toward the ground and the zombie elves group. Traveling downwards along the tree Gin passed the two zombies who had been climbing up after him and quickly lashed out at them with his sword as he passed. He aimed for the neck of one looking to take its head off and the elbow of the other looking to sever its arm there.

Having passed the two on the tree Gin quickly flipped himself before reaching the ground so he wouldn’t land on his face. He knees compressed as he landed in front of the other 8 Zombies. “Well boy’s I hope you don’t disappoint me, I’m expecting you to be an interesting test.” Gin said as he got ready to lounge forward at the closets zombie and strike at its head.

The piercing shriek cut the air and Erin turned immediately to face it. Rain slowly fell upon his face and shoulders. "Ah... So this is what's happening." The undead were on them in an instant. Fortunately he was at least a bit prepared.

The Keyblade may not have been made for fighting these kinds of foes, but it was still a weapon. It came up at the dark foes surrounding him. He couldn't directly attack them yet. He pushed the blades off of their course of skewering him.

"Heh..." That was a relief. He could feel blood coming from a cut on his arm. He hadn't quite managed, but Erin had done enough. Just one cut wouldn't kill him... probably. He kicked up and pushed himself back from the undead monsters. He just had to put these one's down then, right.

Erin snapped his fingers as he jumped back and a pair of clouds formed above his opponents in an instant. One cold and one hot. He was fairly certain that was supposed to cause a tornado. That was inaccurate however the collision caused a storm. A violent spray of water came down from above them punctuated by a bolt of lightning cutting into their group.

EPIC AND INSPIRING BATTLE MUSIC! (because everyone is doing it!)

Deldassa grinned his increasingly common devilish grin. These interlopers were nothing but children. Weak, naive and easily manipulated kids. Like clouds rising to fill the air with the scent of rain, the smell of their fear, their rage and desperation (oh that desperation!) gathered as it rose above the din of screaming monsters and their shouting prey. It was nostalgic, reminding him of the bloody fields from so many centuries ago. And though so much had changed, so much more remained the same. As the group began to display their abilities, Del's black, flaming aura grew larger, the taste of magic flourishing within them all priming his bloodlust. "Keep fighting, keep bleeding, keep dying! I want to see you all SUFFER!" He shouted maniacally. They would make perfect servants once they were dead.

Vielle's Aura Blade sliced through the ten attacking undead, sending a wave of energy flying at Deldassa and scattering pieces of Elf everywhere. The Necromancer opened his arms, staring directly into the ever intensifying wave of light as a malicious smile passed across his features. "Such potent magic! Why you're too kind to grant me such a meal. I SHALL HELP MYSELF TO IT!" The Aura Blade hit the Lord of the Necrotide like a car against a crash test wall, compressing into a single explosion of light that engulfed the clearing in which he stood. The dust settled quickly as a blast of black flame fulminated through it revealing the unscathed sorcerer inside it. The intensely expanding obsidian aura began compacting itself around his priestly frame as the elf, Haru charged him in such an enraged state.

With a deranged laugh, he pointed a hand at the approaching Haru. "Your precious forest burns and the bodies of your ancient ancestors are defiled puppets on the strings of a monster like me. Please don't hold back your feelings, show me your RAGE!" A massive tower of Necrotic fire exploded from the ground charging towards Haru, attempting to engulf him all at once. Meglumar barely avoided the flying swords of his enemies with a well-timed sidestep, reposting the thrusts with a slice of his own, cutting a decayed elven soldier diagonally in half! The gap from the wound suddenly began spouting black flames just like the ones that surrounded them, preventing the pieces of flesh from falling away from each other! The burning, scathed creature and its allies wasted no time in counter-attacking, half of them leaping to attack him from above and the other half charging head on to garrote his stomach open.

Areno fled to avoid his pursuers while his nano-bots formed themselves into a viable weapon. The undead enemy didn't tolerate cowards and were quickly upon him, four of them having leaped into the treetops form tree to tree in order to gain ground on him. They quickly dropped out ahead of him, leaving him with four ahead and six behind. All at once they charged, some with raised blades to cut and others lowered to gut out his heart and delicious cowboy organs! Jen's ghetto grenade exploded violently, sending three of them flying into the forest and into trees. The rest instinctively leaped out of the way, diving into cover behind foliage and bushes. Cleverly, they stayed there, sneaking through the bush and over trees to quietly surround their prey even as she ran (they're fast, graceful and subtle runners for such smelly rotten things).

Once they had her completely surrounded, a single one of the seven jumped out in front of her screaming like a tortured crow to get her attention as it flailed its sword attempting to skin her like floppy dead fish. As it had her attention, four of them tried to come up behind her silently while two leaped out from the bushes to her left and right blades flailing their swords in an attempt to skin her like a floppy- ...wait I said that... er...skin her like a...deer...for a...deerskin...thing...

Come up with your own metaphor.

Chizu's sword easily pierced the antique, corroded armor of her target, producing nothing but dust and black fire from the ancient corpse's wound. It ignored the attack and continued attempting to assault her with wild abandon! WILD ABANDON! The second elf manage to parry the slicing attacking coming down on it, but the force was enough to get it to jump away cautiously (it may not have any organs left, but no one wants their body sliced open! Not even undead! Be considerate for Christ's sake!! SHOW A LITTLE COMPASSION FOR THE DISEMBOWELED!!!). Chizu's wind aura caused them to back away, swords raised to cover their glowing eyes and wait for the next attack as they circled her like wolves stalking a cornered dog. Reika henshined into not-Babe Ruth and stood there, awaiting the imminent attack (she's on steroids, Alex Rodriguez told me!). The elves charged like a banded cavalry, arms raised and screaming like the devil himself to the beat of an imaginary army drum.

The body parts from Gin's decapitation and bicep-bisection (clever, hm?) spouted black flame like a faucet, the magical force holding their bodies together even though they were no longer connected. They didn't waste any time to continue climbing the tree, only to jump from it land on his back, blades first while he charged his sword into the head of another. The Dragon Sword easily pierced the skull of the rotting creature, but did little else as nothing but black flame and dust (dammit I said this too!) came from the wound. With the sword still stuck in its head, the elf attempted to sheath its own blade in Gin's stomach!

Erin's storm clouds covered the necrotic bodies of the earthy beasts and made them wet necrotic bodies, making them smell far worse than they had beforehand. Luckily for them, their noses no longer worked! This put the advantage in their court as they pursued him to attack. The sudden bolt of lightning directly struck one of them, instantly vaporizing him, flesh fire and all. The others seemed rather stunned by this and stood back defensively, waiting for him to attack instead of charging into a lightning storm.

Heeeeeyyy...I can get my 'groove moves' on with this music! >=D

Areno's eyes followed the 4 that jumped ahead of him, smiling as he continued to form his chaingun. As the circled and closed in on him he smiled, "Bing bong. It's finished~" He slammed the chaingun, that he had made with a swivling turret stand this time around, onto the ground and aimed it backwards towards the 6 undead elves that were attacking from behind him while he formed two pistols in his hands and aimed them towards the 4 approaching him.

He placed his right bootheel onto the chaingun, so that his chi could be channled through it. Arerno sucked in his breath "Ooooooooh~ Old McAreno had a farm. Ee, ii, ee, ii, oh~ With a bang bang here," and then began firing at the 6 undead elves with the chaingun, looking over his shoulder and swivling it between them to let the bullets rip them to shreads. "And a bang bang there," he began to fire in front of him now with his handguns, turning his attention to the 4 elves in front of him and firing off a few rounds and their legs and arms.

"Here a bang~" he looked over his shoulder to aim and finish off the remaining 6 undead elves.
"There a bang~" He looked back at the 4 in front of him and and fired again.
"Everywhere a bang, bang!~" Areno kicked off the ground with the boot that was still on it, sending the chaingun swivling around 360 degrees several times while still firing. The problem was, that a stray bullet might veer towards Jen, seeing as she was closer than some of the others.

"Old McAreno had a farm~ Ee, ii, ee, ii, ooooooooooohhh~" Areno jumped down from his pivoting weapons platform, smiling, "Where's my next dance partner?"

With a satisfying BLAM the purple-haired girl heard her homemade explosive go off. She did not however look back to see the damage done, but if her calculations were correct she knew that the explosion would've taken out a few of them at least.

Jen barely had enough time to process what was going on as she heard rustling from the nearby undergrowth, followed a fraction of a second later by one of the undead elves bursting out of the thickets in front of her, screaming like a thing possessed as it swung its sword with the intent on making girl sashimi out of Jen. Come on Jen, let's see if you still got those kung-fu moves...

"Nani!?" Jen exclaimed as she heard more shrieks as more undead elves leaped at her; two from her left and right and another four from behind. It took less than a tenth of a second for the neurons in the purple-haired girl's mind to fire, as her photogenic knowledge of martial arts kicked in. Summoning every joule of energy in her legs the girl lunged forward to avoid the attack from the sides and rear, while at the same time using the momentum from her lunge to swing her right arm upwards, parrying the sword strike from the undead elf in front of her by using her forearm to knock aside the creature's sword arm at the wrist; while in perfect synchronicity her left fist went flying forward, looking to strike the undead elf in its center of gravity to unbalance her opponent while slipping past its position - and just before she passed completely she would follow-up with an elbow smash to the side of the head of the undead elf while it was still rocked by the earlier attack, before finally spinning around to face her aggressors now that she had put a distance between herself and them.

"Come get some!" Jen thrust out her right fist at the undead elves before turning it an open palm in a supine position, wagging her fingers as she beckoned her opponents over for their inevitable second round. Undead enemies were a real b***h to fight against, and Jen knew well enough - she might as well as be fighting the Terminator; these things work along similar lines; It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead. The purple-haired girl smirked; immunity to Sneak Attacks and Critical Hits certainly made them a pain in the ass, but even if they are no longer sustained by the biochemical functions of their bodies, they remain human(oid) is terms of mechanics and design. Just because they don't feel broken bones doesn't mean broken bones don't affect them - if struck hard enough in the joints, she could still pop their limbs from their sockets and prevent them from moving around...

The sound of gunfire snapped Jen out of her train of thoughts as a stray shot from Areno flew in her direction, forcing her to roll aside to avoid a stray bullet of chi energy headed her way, content to let it find its way to one of the nearby undead elves. Hopefully, whoever just fired that round would draw aggro from the current group of undead attacking her - which meant leaving their flanks wide open to attacks of opportunity. Who was it that fired? Jen could only wonder if whoever fired could be her savior... or her doom - as she heard the sounds of fully-automatic gunfire nearby, and could only hope that she wouldn't have to worry too much about friendly fire.

Now, let's play together...under the clearest of blue skies.
Vielle reacted immediately, drawing a second sword. Holding her Blade of Atroce in her right hand, she used her left hand to throw its sister sword high into the air.

"The girl who forged this sword...loved nature."

The Elemental Blade. A prismatic claymore attuned to nature that could instantaneously switch between the elements of fire, ice, wind, and earth. Sensing the flames that Deldassa was casting, the kaleidoscopic blade settled on a cool blue color. It landed in the ground blade-first, sinking into the earth at the same time that the flames erupted from it. The elemental force of ice should keep the flames at bay, or at the very least mitigate them.

Grasping the Blade of Atroce in both hands once again, Vielle leveled her sights on Deldassa. Seeing what the mage had just done to her last attack, she knew that resummoning her Aura Blade would be counterproductive. She ran forward, closing the distance to Deldassa at a frightening speed. However, this was Ein's fight. She wouldn't engage him directly unless he gave her permission. She was only running forward to reclaim the sword that she had thrown.

I've never met an enemy that can absorb magic like that... Vielle thought, This threat is more dire than I previously anticipated...

Chizu felt the blade punch through the elf's armor like it was nothing. Unfortunately, said undead elf also treated it like it was nothing. Chizu cursed, raising her leg and looking back slightly as her other blade was parried. She attempted to kick the other undead elf in the chest, but unfortunately that one jumped away before her foot could connect. Chizu pulled her blade out just as the other elf began its assault again, his sword giving her a small cut on her arm as she pulled away a split second too slow.

Damn! she thought, before rounding on to the attacking elf. Her hands moved like a blur as she attempted to stab and slash the undead elf multiple times. If one strike wasn't enough to bring these things down, she would just have to strike more than once. The wound she received didn't particularly hurt, but given that it was from an undead zombie that had been in the ground longer than she had been alive, she expected to have to get a few shots when this was over.

Good thing she wasn't afraid of needles.

Chizu quickly withdrew from her opponent and spun in a circle. The wind followed her blade, forming a long arc around her that pushed outwards, towards the ring of waiting undead. Hopefully that would at least distract them long enough for her to finish with this one and move onto the next.

It was just her luck that these enemies seemed to be immune to slashes, and she attacked primarily by slashing. Making them explode seemed to be the way to go, but she couldn't do that with aeromancy...

...Or could she?

Gin watched as his sword impaled its self in to the head of the undead elf, as he suspected the blow was far from lethal given that the target was already dead. From behind he could hear the screeches of the two zombies he had attacked on the way down. It looked like the blows on this had proven useless as well thought had had hope cutting the head from one of them would have put it out of commotion. Eh can get everything you want all the time.

Gin released his grip on his dragon sword as he evaded to the right. The zombies sword cut threw his shirt as he dodged and left as slight gash in his side, nothing life threatening but somewhat pain full none the less. Gin rolled away to the side as the other two zombies stabbed their swords in to the ground where he had been as they landed. Their swords had caught the end of his trench coat, luckily the swords tore the end of the coat leaving to gashes in it instead of pinning it.

Gin’s roll stopped with him in a crouching position away from the group of undead. Standing up he looked at the corpses. His adrenalin was running so he wasn’t feeling the pain from his side yet. He looked at the group with a slight smirk. “I see the magic running through you bodies is keeping you in one please despite being cut up huh.” He said as his eyes wondered from the ground in front of him to the other zombies on his other sides. Given their annoying ability Gin might have to take them seriously really soon and bring this little test to an end.

Getting in to a more defensive stance Gin’s smirked grew. “Well come on bone heads I’m unarmed you just going to stand there with those dead expressions all night long?”

Alright. One Down. I just have to follow that up. That didn't seem like it would be too bad. They were even standing back. If Erin knew how to trigger lightning without being terrified he would destroy them. His nose wrinkled from their smell, but it wasn't that bad.

Erin bolted forward through the storm he had called and jumped forward slamming his left foot forward at the Undead furthest to the left, while swinging the Keyblade in an arc to his right.

Oh dear. Enemies closing in quickly. And FAST. Meglumar jumped backwards as the enemies closed in from above and the ground, getting a series of cuts across his chest as he did so. The one he attacked had burst into flames. He needed a plan. Maybe...Yes. He stabbed his sword into the ground, and reached into his coat pulling out one of the 4 water bottles he had kept on him. He was now wishing he had lined the inside of his coat with them. Or at last gotten a water pack or something.

Well, he could not stay on the defensive forever, and he'd rather not become a pincushion on sharp, likely dirty and disease-riddled blades. Now he would go onto the offensive. He used the water bottle to fire a quick stream of water into the enemies before him, moving his arm against them in an arc, almost as if he was using it to whip at them. To make it more effective, he used the light withing him along with the water, to make it hopefully more effective. Water Magic and Light Power might just be helpful here. Still, his mind was elsewhere. He was worrying over Shinya, where Star was. There was an attack there too....he was hoping she was safe.

Hooray for Frustration!
Ein continued charging as he saw the necrotic flames approaching him. "If you think your disgusting power can stop me..." Ein said before his eyes began glowing green. If one looked carefully, one could see that somehow his eyes now had glowing green spirals in them. The glowed brighter suddenly, and his sword began radiating with energy, both Holy and Light mixing within. He had used the Drill of Courage, which allowed him to bypass his regular limit, and reach his potential, which was turning his healing powers into ones that could be used in battle.

"Then you are sorely mistaken." Ein said, charging straight at the flame before sending a blast of Light and Holy energy of equal size from his blade at the flames, negating both of them. "I told you, I will not rest until this blade has your head." Ein said before dashing at Deldassa. His speed was greatly increased from the Drill of Courage, along with his power, and as a result, the distance was quickly closed. "Regret your sins in hell!" Ein cried before he slashed horizontally at Deldessa.

I swear I'm going to use up all my good music before the end of the first event! But it's so difficult to restrain myself X3

As his enemies continued to fight, their injuries, however minor, left the stench of blood on the battlefield. It was the beginnings of war, this smell. The hacking of limbs, the rending of flesh, the tearing up of dirt, burning of forests and the blood. The more they fought back, the more it reminded him of the forgotten ages of his empire. He might not win here, but this was but a prelude. Not even that, it was a warm up! These children were fighting for their lives, but against his power they were simply delaying the inevitable. They were weak, they were helpless, but most of all, they were ignorant to the futility of their struggle. That was the way these heroes fought and that was why they would lose. The Necromancer felt an overwhelming blood-lust he hadn't felt in ages. It was glorious.

Areno's enemies stayed a distance, wary of the strange foreign weapons. They appeared to have no visible point and looked ill-fitted for bludgeoning. They suspected magic at work and steadied themselves for his attack. The flurry of gunfire he opened up on them was as sudden as it was loud and violent. The undead soldiers had no chance to see it coming as flashes of light and lead shook away skin and dust from armor and bone. Though the fires burning inside their empty corpses attempted to hold them together, the pieces flew too far and too fast for it to catch obliterating most of them in the initial chain-gun attack. As he turned to swivel the vicious weapon, the elves didn't wait to become victims of it again and fled into the bush, dodging the invisibly fast bullets as best they could. Once it stopped, they moved like ghostly shadows through the dark brush. Guerrilla tactics were their best defense here.

Jen narrowly managed to avoid the group mangling her opponents had set up for her, leaping through the weak point in their formation and breaking the sword arm of one of them in the process. Despite being popped from its socket, the necromantic flames inside it held its arm in place, even disconnected from itself. As it spun around to retort with its blade, the bullet Jen dodged so swiftly flew through the eye of the enraged creature, causing fire to burst from its ruptured socket. The other elves screeched loudly, seeing such magic as a more viable threat than this peasant. The monsters quickly retreated back into hiding, moving silently towards the sounds of repeating semi-automatic thunder in order to assist their allies. Areno would be in for a heck of an ambush if he wasn't prepared. This did not leave Jen off the hook however, as (rather unexpectedly) the three that had been blown into the tree-line by her grenade had returned. Though badly injured and missing more than a few fingers and toes, they were seething with anger, hot black fire bursting from their grievous injuries. The leader of the three attackers attempted to give a screeching war cry, but choked as parts of his throat were missing, instead spouting a rather intimidating looking fireball.

Vielle's expanding road of ice struck the columns of fire, but succumbed to them in the end as more and them seemed to stream endlessly from the ground like unrelenting, black geysers. She charged forward in an attempt to reclaim her sword and this did not go unnoticed in the shadowed eyes of the Necromancer. It wasn't difficult to recognize what she was doing and with great subtlety he raised a boot and stomped his foot into the ground, a great geyser forming around the sword under the ground. If the timing was right, the volcano of obsidian flames would burst the moment she laid her hands on its hilt, swallowing her body whole in a tower of burnt flesh. He imagined her body and soul would taste just that much better after being cooked so thoroughly. The thought made him grin with anticipation.

Chizu's attack ripped the elf to pieces as it did its best to block with its sword, only to have its arms and torso shredded to pieces. The others of its kin roared in protest, closing the gap they had formed to avoid her aeromancy abilities. The torn and shredded zombie leaped clear with all its might, falling back onto the ground as it did. Fire erupted from the jagged holes in its body, covering it now more in flame than flesh. It's helmet-guarded head remained intact, leaving it now an armless, body less mass of fire. It seemed unable to fight back, but charged with its brethren anyway, attempting to use itself as a battering ram and set her on fire. However, as it did, Chizu spun in a circle with her sword, sending a gust of strong wind out to knock them all back. The gust knocked the intact undead backwards where they quickly jumped to their feet and began circling them once more. The flame-strewed one was rather humorously blown out like a candle. With nothing keeping him together, his head fell lifelessly onto his legs, stacking themselves like a creepy, smelly and hairy stonehenge. The others eyed it curiously, unsure if they should be afraid or angry. However, anger had never seemed to steer them wrong before and they let out another vicious war screech before charging her, blade's first.

Gin did little but evade his enemies, who took the opportunity to get into a fighting formation. Pulling shields from their backs, they laid them down in front of them with their swords resting over the top. Screeching in their strange language, the line marched forward, the sides of it moving slightly faster than the middle as they attempted to pinch Gin into the center of the formation, leaving him a vulnerable, flanked target. If it wasn't for the fact that they were in an alternate dimension where movies had not yet been invented and the creatures they were fighting weren't disturbingly old, a copyright infringement suit might have been in order. Despite their small stature, their blades were level with his heart, making them difficult targets and making their aim more deadly than a larger predator.

Erin's foot impacted hard against the flat part of an elven blade as the creature raised it to protects its chest. The impact sent it falling backwards, but it rolled to its feet, unharmed. The others stood at the edges of the storm, wary to walk into a magician's trap. If they walked into the center of it, he'd merely drop the lightning on their heads, destroying them completely. The elf Erin attacked with his Keyblade raised his own sword to parry the attack, only to have it clang loudly and meekly against the superior weapon of light. His sword bounced off, leaving his torso open the key sliced though its stomach, severing it in half. The fire attempted to pull the monster's halves together, but the light magic in the keyblade sealed them apart, blocking the flames completely and sending the severed body of the elf rolling across the wet dirt. The others eyed him with a nervous malice, hissing at the magical light weapon in his hand. This didn't bode well for them.

The elves attacking Meglumar released several throaty, screeching laughs as their blades tasted his skin and blood. It wasn't much, but their combined effort was making a difference. It wouldn't be long before they feasted on his dead corpse. Spreading out to surround him, he suddenly stuck his sword in the ground, was he surrendering? The others looked at each other to come to a consensus, when Meglumar drew the water from inside his coat. One of them hissed and pointed his blade at the bottle, recognizing that magic would soon follow. They simply would not let it be and several of them charged at once. The rest backed off, knowing four of them could easily rend an unarmed mage (unless his magic was strong enough to kill all of them at once, hence the backing off). The stream of light-infused water powered outwards, whipping all four of them across the chest. It's natural magic burned the flesh of three of them, exposing the flames underneath which hissed and steamed, but remained lit thanks to the flesh on top. The fourth was already injured and his fire was quickly doused by the light magic, severing his chest from the lower part of his body. The six who remained behind narrowed their eyes with anger, hissing with a quiet nervousness. Such magic was beyond their ill-revived bodies. As the injured three writhed on the ground, their flames growing weaker as they struggled to stay alive, the remaining six circled Meglumar, prepared to dodge if he attempted a second attack like and prepared to cut him to pieces of he didn't.

The other elf, Ein. His anger burned within him in the same way death burned inside Deldassa and that fact was far from lost on him. They weren't so different in his eyes, they merely expressed their passions in different ways, but when it came down to it, they were two sides of the same coin. Only his side was much more powerful. Ein charged intensely through the flames, his swirling magics challenging the flames on equal terms as he dashed in a fury across the gap. Del didn't seem to move, raising his arms and opening them as if to embrace the coming attack. Ein was upon him in an instant, his blade raised to strike the Necro-lord. "Temper, temper, your anger only serves to blind you to the truth." He jumped back in a flash, holding out his arm to grab the elf around the throat. Ein's blade severed his hand at the wrist with ease, but a spout of black flames held his arm and hand together, lengthening his reach. With his hand around Ein's throat, he walked forward into his waiting hand, reconnecting his body together. "Perhaps its time I showed you what you've been missing all these years." He said maliciously, a translucent hand suddenly appearing from his solid one. The ghostly limb reached slowly into Ein's body to grab his soul. The process would be immensely painful and if he didn't free himself quickly, he would be devoured.
