Hyakuji 2.0 Template Character Name: Athena Kanerudo Gender: Female Age: 14 Height: 1m 44cm Weight: 43kg Description or Image of Character Appearance: ![]() The first thing that strikes people, even before being able to set their sights on the small girl is a certain scent and feeling that lingers the air. It seems as if the air grows thinner and colder and the scent of withering flowers fills the air. It’s truly as if someone is being tugged away from the realm of the living and the closer one is to the girl the stronger the scent becomes until the moment they finally notice her. As if to erase any presence of the other world the scent seems to lift and is replaced by a dusk aroma, a rather unusual sort of perfume, but the coldness of the air remains, easily making people note that something is different about the presence of this child. The first feature one can notice when meeting Athena certainly must be her age. She is very young for a high school student, as is noticeable by her small petite frame. Also the fact her body is underdeveloped, lacking the muscular concentration most people hardened by a life of danger and adventure have, making it hard to believe she is a hardened fighter. Still her strength lays in her legs, for her calves are the concentration of her muscles and having a lean and small body makes her agility be one of her largest advantages in combat. Still having the innocent body of a child does resemble a guise of sorts. Who would question the innocence of a child who just stepped into the thresholds of puberty, let stand the harder details of our world, still that strong innocence is just a guise, hiding the darker person she really is. Her skin seems to be a surprising pale color, one that a child would have when they had been born with a terrible illness and hospitalized for their entire life. Still recently she has been going outside more often, resulting in having it obtain a healthy and attractive tingle, and the fact her skin is derived of any blemishes make it look like a sort of pureness- perhaps a pureness a angel would have. It’s said that most often the face of a person is the most lively feature they have but this certainly isn’t the case for Athena. While it shares the slightly pale whiteness as the rest of her skin it would have looked much cuter if it was flushed up with a gentle blush but strangely enough such a expression rarely appears on the girl her face. Most often her face lacks any facial emotions, her light sakura-colored lips pursed on each other as if she’s consumed in thoughts. Her eyes actually could be called the true part of her that is death. Her eyes are beautiful orbs of a noble purple, but there are derived of any emotion or the sparkle of life most children of her age have, and most often people will only find a mirror reflection of themselves within those eyes that are usually formed in a bored gaze. Actually her hair might be the only feature that could make her look lively in a sort. The short silver locks are usually covered with a black hair-band and a ribbon on top of it, still at times when the wind breezes against it one can see a short change in the expression of the girl, a expression of calamity and comfort, a rather gentle expression compared to her usual glares. Occupation: Student Grade Level: 1st year Powers/ Abilities: Spirit Form: Since Athena is actually a spirit placed within a revived body she did remain to have the ability to shed her mortal self and obtain a spiritual form. Usually this ability is only used to quickly change locations and escape from a dangerous situation but it can also be used in a life threatening situation to fight her enemies their souls. Normally in spirit form Athena can’t harm a individual unless they are separated from their living bodies. Also a huge disadvantage is that Athena’s presence draws attention from wandering spirits and those can often try to feed upon her essence depending on their nature. Also the longer she remains in a spiritual form the larger the price will be on her health when returning into her living body, for the link between life and death grows thinner as she remains in the realm of the death. Armor of Death: Athena’s main defensive ability. By channeling the spiritual energy she obtains from absorbing spirits she is capable of turning it into a layer of invisible clothes that serve as a armor. The larger the amount of spiritual energy she has within her soul the stronger the armor will be. One could easily compare her level to the armor a person would have back in the middle ages. At full energy it could be considered a mail armor, being able to withstand quite some blows while if the energy would be lower it would become like a ordinary leather armor, only able to withstand smaller and weaker attacks. There are two methods of this power to use, the first and most draining one is by constantly keeping up the armor, or by only calling the armor shortly before the hit collides. The last option is less tiring for her but she has to time it right for if the energy is not completely surrounding her body it could scatter and destroy her whole supply. The armor is represent by a blue hue that engulfs her body and the stronger its power the stronger the presence will be. Spirit Slash: The current only special move Athena has mastered. By channeling a part of her spiritual supply from her armor into her sword she can make it produce a shockwave of sorts, or better said a air blast as the common ability is called. The negative side of this attack is that usually the armor is lowered in strength in a relative strong amount until the energy is released. Spirit separation: A emergency ability Athena is experimenting with. This ability temporary pulls a person out of their living body, drawing them as a spirit into the world of death. There Athena can fight them with the advantage that the cold and harsh world of the death often takes its toll on people who aren’t used to being a spirit, also wandering spirits will often try to latch themselves against the person in hope they are also drawn back into the living body of the person. Still a huge negative effect right now is that it requires all of Athena’s power and she will only last in the spiritual world for ten minutes before returning to the living world and faint, sometimes even entering a short coma of a few days. Equipment You Have: Aundra: The magical katana Athena carries with her. The sheath of the weapon is a pitch black one with golden borders while the katana itself is a bright silver one with a white hilt. Those who can see magical beings will find a small blue orb, a whisp gently twirls around the weapon when she isn’t inside combat. Also because the school rules state she isn’t allowed to wield a weapon at school the katana is nearly always hidden in the spirit world. Spirit Wisp: A small blue orb that always remains in the company of Athena. It doesn’t only serve as a advanced radar to detect fallen ones but it also informs her of how strong her supply of spiritual energy remains. Hana: A little hamster that always hides inside the pocket of Athena’s dress, it actually seems amazingly good at hiding its presence and only comes peeking out of the pocket when Athena is going to feed it or when they are both alone. It seems extremely shy of strangers. Residency Request: Fudo dorm~ Schedule: Homeroom: Lillian 1st: Gym 2nd: Martial Arts -Lunch- 3rd: Music Personality Description: To describe Athena would be certainly difficult. To be honest it would be like describing someone with a layer of personalities. This alone already would make people wonder what personality the real girl is and perhaps one would never be able to find it out, for Athena is known to be a keeper of secrets, especially when it’s about herself. Still the first time people will meet Athena she will come over as a meek and shy person. She most often tries to avoid getting noticed or even getting into conversations for she thinks they will always end in conflicts and troubles. This can go to extremes since the small girl will most often silently wander along the corners and sides of the corridors, hoping to remain in the shadows. Still if one does decide to notice her and approach her one will encounter a total different person. Noble and arrogant, that is how one would describe Athena when first talking to her. Not only does her stance have a sense of a proud stubbornness but she also seems to have the sort of air around her a general of a army would have. She always stands up straight, her gaze usually slightly annoyed, bored or maybe even dismissingly gaze toward the person that disturbs her. Most often this can also be noticed in her way of speaking. She talks in a quick tone, not one to wander around the point and usually talks in a rather intimidating and commanding fashion, actually perhaps the way a guy would do. Also she can be rather snappy when someone bores or annoys her and she is the type of person who would simply say it straight at their face, and might go as far as saying they shouldn’t bother her with their presence. Still this cold and distanced nature is just a layer of protection for her. The second nature one will find within Athena, for example during gym and material arts is the fact her arrogant and noble self is replaced by a thick seriousness. She constantly is someone trying to improve herself in the aspects she is good in and most often can be rather angry if someone gets in her way. Still she seems strangely helpful for people that are trying their best to improve and often might end up muttering some advice to help them, still one will rarely find her to start a true conversation. One might see her as a samurai from the past ages. She is strict, serious and rather harsh with people who make fun of others their process or those that just are plain lazy but she can be supportive and helpful for those that are trying. Also she seems rather worried at times, as if she’s afraid one might get hurt in her presence, still she keeps her distance and watches from the side. The next layer one will find is during the moments Athena is alone or at peace, like during music classes. One can easily see Athena is much more relaxed, her usual stern and focused stance being relaxed and more gentle like a child would. Also her eyes seem to be much softer and gentle, actually they often seem to have a gaze of loneliness in them. It’s often as if they are looking for something they can never find and Athena most often is far more quiet that at other times and when one would speak to her she would speak in a calm even-toned voice, often having a sound of wisdom inside them. The final and perhaps real nature of the girl is one who is torn in conflict. She feels lonely and desires the company of others, her voice gentle but filled with doubt and fear, most often she will end up asking people to distant themselves from her in fear they could get harmed but a sense of innocence is within her. She seems to enjoy things a child would do, like going to a amusement park or eating ice-cream with friends, only during those moments she can be seen smiling, but even then her eyes seem to reveal a clouded darkness within her. Personal History: (read next post) RP Sample: Darkness… Darkness was often associated with chaos and disaster, sometimes even evil. It was said those tainted by darkness had been forced to hide in the shadows of the day and only had been able to surface during the night, when the sun no longer protected the world. It was also during the night the evil finally started to move and take its action. This was how it had been for years, or maybe even ages. During the middle of the night, when people had been inside a war unfolded right within their city. It wasn’t the usual war humans their history was filled with, this kind of war went far beyond human belief. Perhaps this was why it was better that humans remained unaware of the danger that lurked around them, and the only border of defense that was preventing that danger from engulfing their lives. This was how another skirmish in this seemingly endless war was about to begin. A Friday evening, around a hour or eleven it had been. While it was spring, and not that late for most people there was a certain feeling that kept them inside. While only a little while ago the sun was gently shining its finally rays the sky became clouded into a grey color, revealing a stormy night might had been awaiting them. Still it was mainly the cold and hostile breeze in the air that kept most people inside. Perhaps it had been better that way for if humans didn’t came outside they wouldn’t be able to hinder her in this battle, nor would they ask any questions what would annoy her again. To be honest anyone with common sense would already start questioning her, or perhaps even call the police. Why was that? For she had taken a rather unusual spot as her look out. It was a large street light on one of the main streets of the city, standing in front of a small bar that seemed to had found it a wise idea to keep their guests inside for a little while. Still strangely enough none seemed to had the intention of gazing outside and witness the unusual scenery. The silent breeze gently blew the nearby bushes and trees, a few loose paper bags floating over the ground, being guided by the wind. Still the strangest thing about the whole night must had been that girl… A young girl, at least she seemed young from her small and delicate frame was standing on top of the street light, the bright moon rays engulfing her gently. The skin of the girl was a very pale color, actually rather transparent what reminded people of a spirit, especially when the moon light shone upon her. Still that wasn’t the only unusual thing about her. Her hair was a light silver color, one that was rarely found with humans, and was kept carefully in place by a black headband with a same colored ribbon on top of it. Still if one thing truly could describe her as different it must had been her eyes. Large orbs of a purple noble that seemed to had been derived of any emotion or even the sparkle of life children of her age had. The only thing someone could hope to find within them would be a mirror reflection of themselves. The girl in question did seem to wear normal clothes, a ordinary green dress that reached until her ankles and a same colored vest to cover her chest. The girl her eyes had been silently wandering around, observing the black sky before suddenly a huge howl pierced the sky. The howl was so cold and hollow it could send shivers down nearly everyone their spines. Still for the girl this already became a normal sound, a activity that was part of her daily life. It was during the night she was responsible for taking on her duty and fight off her enemies, the fallen ones. Not only are the fallen angels traitors of her kin but they also sided with evil itself and would use any means possible for obtaining power, even corrupting the living and death. Still she was lucky enough that her presence made the fallen ones rather careful in taking action and the only encounters she had was with their lowest minions, the mindless beasts that wandered the night in search for a soul to fill their empty void with. Still it seemed this creature would no longer be hunting for suddenly the girl seemed to had been shimmering away, reappearing above a nearby rooftop before she took a sprint over the buildings, seemingly tracing down the sound with her ears. For her it was no problem to find those monsters. They carried a stench of rotten flesh or perhaps pure corruption of sorts, a scent she really despised and perhaps motivated her to kill those beasts as quick as possible. It took her only a few minutes before she could find a being running in the street ahead of her. The creature itself seemed more like a huge dog or perhaps wolf, the four legged monster shaking his head from side to side before it came to a halt and howled again. This was her chance! Quickly jumping off the rooftop her hand reached out into the air, seemingly ripping open a void next to her as she pulled out a object out of the air. It seemed to had been a katana, and a unusual beautiful at that also. The metal of the blade was a pure silver color, with not a single dent or scratch on the surface of it while her hands had took their grip on the clean snow-white hilt. Silently the girl had flew down toward the beast his direction and seemed to had the chance to strike and finish this battle unnoticed before all of sudden the beast jumped sideways, avoiding the slash of her weapon that had hit only the cold stone street before the beast twisted around his body, charging with his head forwards, most likely trying to tackle her. The beast indeed succeeded in doing that, for his hit had collided against her chest as she stumbled upon the ground, the beast jumping over her with his fangs bared and prepared to crunch into her head before his path suddenly seemed to had been blocked, her katana being the only thing preventing the beast from approaching as she pushed her strength into getting the beast of her. Still all of sudden the girl raised one of her legs, furiously swinging it against the side of the wolf his body, making him be propelled off her body and crashing him against the nearby wall as the girl got up again, swiping her blade to wipe off the drool of the wolf before her eyes narrowed and the muttered in a soft tone. “Creature of darkness---- Perish and return to the endless void of the abyss!” Suddenly the girl charged forwards before suddenly she shimmered away again, reappearing behind the monster in a kneeling stance, her arm stretched toward her side and the katana along within her hand, her eyes seemingly to silently gaze in front of her. The creature itself seemed slightly startled for a second, as if time stopped for a second before suddenly a splash of blood flew out of his chest, his body seemingly being sliced in half before he seemed to had turned into black ashes. The girl silently had stood up, her eyes relaxing once more as the weapon inside her hands started to fade away again and she released a soft sigh, her hands brushing off some dirt from her dress before she muttered in a slightly complaining voice. “I might be a spirit but I need to sleep also you know? Take a break for God’s sake…” Mashed Potatoes? The proof is in the pudding Edited by Athena Kanerudo, May 5 2008, 04:41 AM.

The history of a person is always a important thing isn’t it? It is like a story that tells everything about their lives. Some of those stories are so impressive they end up written down in books or even made into movies but some stories are forgotten in time or merely never known about. The story of this girl is one of the latter ones. Perhaps it was her destiny to be forgotten by everyone? Or perhaps it was the will of a greater being who erased the traces of her story? Still just like every story this story traces back to a begin also, and this story begins in the country that is known today as England, or Great Britain. The Kanerudo family was a family that had their roots in Japan, but why would they have moved to such a faraway country then? That is not really of importance but their ancestors feared the clan wars during the feudal period of Japan and fled their country in hope of finding peace somewhere else. This was how the current generation of the Kanerudo family stranded in England. Hakouro Kanerudo was a young and kind man. He wasn’t really anything amazing, just a ordinary man who enjoyed his life as a architect. Still he had one thing that he considered a treasure and that was his wife. A beautiful young woman called Evangeline Everts. Evangeline was a teacher and lived a normal life and just like that also had met Hakouro on a common day when he was visiting a show about the newer ways houses had been build. Amusingly enough the two seemed to had found each other to be a fun person to talk with and they became friends and later friendship developed into love. Soon the two of them had married, a happy couple living in a small village. There was nothing special worth mentioning safe for the lovely story of two adults who lived their lives happily. Still their joy wouldn’t end yet for God wanted to bless them both and gave them a child. Indeed Evangeline had became pregnant and nine months later a healthy young girl was born. Hakouro and Evangeline had decided to pick the name Athena for her, since Athena was the Greece goddess of wisdom and hopefully the girl who grow into a wise and kind woman also. Athena as a baby was a shy and kind person, one who actually was rather a mother-child for she wouldn’t stop crying until her mother embraced her and told her some fairy-tales. It was around the time Athena was 3 years that once more her family was blessed with a miracle, for she would soon gain a little baby sister. They decided to call her Melody. Why such a name? Actually there was a rather amusing fact that happened shortly after the child was born. It was when the little baby was crying in the arms of her mother that the little Athena crawled closer toward her mother and in a soft childish voice started singing a little song her mother used to sing for her. That is why they decided to call her Melody, for little Athena was singing a melody for her sister. This was how Athena’s life blossomed. Actually as the two of them grew older they seemed to had been total opposites of each other. Athena was a rather tomboyish person, a small but strong body and a rather foul mouth at times. Still she was kind to those who showed kindness to her and she seemed to had developed a interest in sports. Still one thing was even more clearer than all others and that was that she was very protective of her little sister. Melody was a fragile and shy girl. What Athena had in strength and liveliness Melody had it in wisdoms and artistic aspect. She was a little genius in music and when Athena joined the school’s kendo club Melody entered the music club. Still while they had been total opposites they had been the closest sisters one could image. Still how could one have expected their bond would be destroyed so brutally? She still remembers it faintly… It was around the time she became nine- It was a early winter evening when she left the dojo of her club, saying her goodbyes to her mates before she ran toward the room the music classes had their practice, still when she arrived there she heard her little sister had done earlier and already went home. Actually she herself was already slightly aware of why her sister would have left without her. 20 January was a date she herself became already familiar with. It was her birthday! So Melody most likely went home to prepare a party with her parents. With a smile on her face she left the school building and wandered along the streets of her village, heading back home. Still little did she expect nature itself was already giving a sight of the horrors that would unfold. While a few minutes the sun had been shining its final rays on her all of sudden it had disappeared, the sky being clouded into a stormy grey one before the rain poured down the sky. Slightly curious she continued to walk along the streets, passing the large park she and her sister used to play in during the weekends when all of sudden she came to a halt. There was something strange in the air… It was cold and heavy but at the same time she heard a calling, a whispering in the wind that something was going on in the park. Still it’s not a secret that children most often are the most curious beings in existence, and not being able to hide her nature she ran into the park. Somehow she felt strangely excited and scared at the same time. It was as if her body took over her mind, the wind whistling in her ears and brushing her cheeks. Still her feet came to a halt at one of the main paths of the park and a smile sandy path that led into a deeper part of the park, being covered by bushes and trees. While she did often hear her teachers and parents warn her not to wander off the paths of the park she couldn’t resist her excitement. What was that strange feeling that tugged her heart? Still before she could even make her decision she felt her body continuing to move and even when her mind yelled to stop she knew her body wouldn’t listen and her lips moved softly muttering “Hurry-Hurry”. Still never could she have expected what would be waiting for her. The path seemed to had led her deeper into the park, all around her being large trees that blocked her sight and the only path to proceed was forwards, or run back. Still she ventured forwards until she reached a opening and witnessed something nobody would belief. In front of her was a small hill with on top of it one of those memorial stones they placed for the soldiers that died during the past wars. While this itself wasn’t that strange it was rather the presences around it that had been unique. On top of the memorial stone had been a individual, humanoid from building and her curves revealed she was a woman. A young and beautiful woman clad in a blue armor, one she once saw in a manga about a Valkyrie. The woman had long brown hair that was tied together in a single tail and her hands held the hilt of a bright silver sword. It looked just like a angel… Still it wasn’t long before her admiration for the beautiful woman was replaced by fear. All around the memorial stone had been other beings, certainly no humans. The creatures had been large and bulky and while at first sight they looked like a human of sort they looked much more beastlike. Their skin was a dark dusky grey color and hands had been replaced by claws just like their faces seemed more like a demonic creature of sorts. Still they held a scent and aura that made her tremble, as if a single glare of them could kill her already. Still it seemed the creatures didn’t even took notice of her. The monsters growled in anger, some of them already swiping their claws toward the woman while some of them merely barked. Still it was only a little later before suddenly one of the monsters jumped off the ground, his claws reaching out toward the angel. The woman seemed to have shifted her body slightly before all of sudden she jumped in the air, the air around her back starting to form before bright white wings grew on her back, making her take flight as she raised her sword in the air. She was right! That woman was a angel! But wait a second… Didn’t angels and monsters only exist in fairy tales? Somehow amazement and fear filled her mind at the same time before the woman swiped her sword down and yelled out in a calm tone. “Creatures fallen from God his grace, be banished from the realm!” With those words her sword flashed brightly before suddenly a white ray shot down toward the memorial before it expanded into a gigantic field, actually surrounding the whole hill as a bright wind blew the girl off her feet onto the ground as her eyes remained glued on the scene in front of her. The monsters screamed in agony as their bodies seemed to start to burn, actually crumbling as they turned to ash. This was how the woman killed the handful of monsters with a single attack, not a single one of them remaining. Now the monsters had been gone fear had easily left her mind as she stood up and ran toward the winged woman, who had landed in front of the memorial stone. It was just like a fan meeting a heroine for the first time in her life. Questions had filled her mind but the only thing Athena could ask was. “Are you a angel?” Still nearly instantly as those words left her words the woman had raised her sword, as if she was planning to strike her down in a second while her bright emerald eyes gazed into her, a feeling that made her wonder if the woman was actually peering straight into her soul. Still it was only a few seconds later the woman asked in a threatening voice if she was a fallen one. What was a fallen one? She never heard about such a thing before. Still before she could even reply back she saw a huge figure rise behind her, one of those monsters from earlier suddenly extending one of his arms around her, his claw resting on her neck as he spoke toward the winged woman with a smirk, thinking she would be powerless now he had a hostage. Still how wrong could he have been? The woman simply raised her sword, trusting it out toward the beast his head while in the same moment she felt something painfully pierce her back. Actually it was only for a mere second she could feel it, as if someone shot her down and the only thing she could do was lower her head in confusion to see the claw had pierced her body, soon afterwards all became black. Was this it? Was this how she would die? As a human who witnessed something beyond belief? If that had been her destiny she might have been off better but it seemed fate had something else in store for her. A few hours later she woke up again, feeling her head resting on the soft lap of the winged woman while smiled gently and apologized for the danger she had been pulled in. Still she seemed to didn’t mind answering the girl her question and soon told her about a story that was far more impressive than the fairy tales her mother told her about. Actually there are two sort of angels. The angels we know and those fallen from God’s grace, and their blood became tainted by the creatures they had been raised to destroy. Fallen angels are actually those that turned against their past kin and sided with their demonic counterparts and intended to turn the world into a second hell as revenge of past feuds. The ones responsible for destroying the fallen angels and their minions, also called fallen ones was the task of a order of angelic warriors called the chosen ones. Still their numbers had grown sheer and she, Lenneth was one of the last chosen ones on earth fighting against the increasing population of those cursed beings. Actually her true intention for saving Athena was the fact she was curious the girl was led to the battle and saw her as one who could follow into her footsteps and become a angel also. Still was that a chose any child of her age could take? There was actually her family and friends at school who waited for her so the girl had to decline the offer and thank her for her help before she returned on her way home. Still actually there is a saying that says anyone who witnesses a conflict will ultimately be thrown into it and she would be thrown straight into it. Arriving at her home she found the building to be set into fiery black flames, something that was rather unusual since the other houses didn’t seem to caught fire or even witness it. Still she clearly saw her house burn down and as she screamed for help she saw a shadow jump off the rooftop into the sky, disappearing into the darkness… So this was it? This was how she would lose everything she knew? Her parents and her sister all perished in the fire, actually she didn’t even had anything to prove their death with for the only thing that remained after the black flames faded away was ash… It was since then the girl thought she lost her ability to cry, after she had cried the whole night when wandering back toward the park, her mind knowing what her next course of action would be. She had lost her family and somehow she had the feeling it was her own fault for witnessing the fight in the park earlier. Then what was the reason she left the common choice of asking her friends for help and in place of that making her wander toward the park, where a world was waiting that went far beyond the human mind? To be honest she still wasn’t certain about that. A part of her just wanted to protect her friends so they wouldn’t share the same fate as her family while another part of her cried for power to bring revenge. It was only a little later she stumbled back upon the winged woman who was silently leaning against the memorial stone as if she expected for her to return. The woman had calmly gazed toward her, the little girl who finally became unable to cry, for all her tears had been shed. Somehow the woman could sense it, the hatred for the fallen ones that had been within the mind of the child. Still little did the girl knew that the assault on her family was not a mere twist of fate but rather aimed at herself. Still she continued listening to the plea of the girl, begging her to help her become strong enough to protect her friends and punish those who harmed her family. The woman had finally accepted the plea of the girl and took her under her wing, starting to train her for the life a warrior would experience. One year… One year the woman spend training the girl physically beyond the limits of humans their capacities, learned her the history of the war she was about to be engulfed in and thought her the teachings the chosen ones followed. Still she wouldn’t enter the war just yet, for quite another journey laid in front of her. At the end of the year the winged angel started a ritual, praying to God to make the young Athena into one of his guardians and in the end it seemed her prayers went answered for a bright light engulfed the child. Still the path for one to become a angel is long and rather dark. At first the angelic self of a person is like a sleeping second soul that has yet to awaken but it’s said that once the angelic self of a human awakens they are no longer human in soul. Still it seemed the angel had gotten a order of God himself and in the end was forced to bright Athena toward another village. What could the girl actually say about this everything? There was this strange part of herself that already found her to be unusual and strange compared toward other humans and somehow she guessed nobody would want to take her in when remembering how her parents their fate had been, still it seemed she was wrong for the angelic woman knocked on a door at a house near the outskirts of a farmer village and a young man opened the door. All she remembered was that the two of them talked for a while, she herself having her eyes nearly shut close and gently lean against the arm of the woman, feeling the tiredness of the night overwhelm her. Still she clearly remembered when the angelic woman said that from now on the man would be her new family and shortly afterward she gently pulled the girl toward the man before she left into the darkness of the night. How could it happen so quickly? Having a new family in only a matter of seconds. Still the past events had took its toll on her and Athena was now a rather distanced and quiet child, now opening her heart to anyone, or at least to nearly anyone. The man had understood her situation so he handled her gently and carefully, offering her a meal before he tucked her into her bed. This was how two years slowly passed and Athena found her new self slowly developing. In place of wanting to play with other children of her age she prefers to wander into the nearby forests to play with the animals what made her look rather strange in the eyes of the other villagers, still they didn’t really felt in disturbing so they simply let her go her way. Athena herself was becoming aware she was being strange compared to the other villagers and had a feeling she was often avoided by others, a worry she sometimes exposed to her new father who always reassured her she was not strange but special, like a beautiful little treasure. But there was one thing Athena didn’t knew and that was the true reason she was brought toward this village. It was not the so called reason to start a new life but rather to hide her from certain people. Unknowingly to her the young child actually was hiding a very special artifact within her soul that certain people had been searching for. Those people would finally found it one day, and that day would make the village suffer exact the same fate as her parents. It was a stormy night when the young girl woke up, for she heard a rather loud knock on her door before it opened and her father entered the room, asking worried if she was alright but after receiving a answer he told her to hide and don’t move at any cost. Still shortly after the man left again the girl could hear loud and terrifying screams that while they scared her at the same time made her worried so she quickly ran outside, just to find the scene out of a horror story. The ground was soaked by a carpet of a sticky red substance and everywhere she could see bright black flames burned the houses around her. Here and there she could recognize the corpse of a villager but the thing that worried her the most was where her father could have been. That answer would soon be given when she saw a familiar figure run into her direction before a old man stopped in front of her yelling to flee, stating that her father was being the last border of defense for the village while the others had been running away. Somehow she was glad to know her father was alright but at the other side she felt angry at the cowardly villagers who didn’t aid her father, still she soon left all the warnings of the old man behind her as she advanced deeper into the village and finally found what she was seeking for. Her father was standing at the plaza of the village, holding within his hands a sword that he was pointing toward a being that stood at the other side of the plaza. The being in question was actually hard to describe. He was fairly tall in stature and was covered by a thick black robe and a cowl that covered his head. She could hear her father yell something about a key and the fact they wouldn’t be allowed to obtain it while the robed figure spoke in a hollow voice, demanding to get the thing her father was speaking about or else he would kill everyone else. Worried she ran toward her father in hope to help him but as soon as she reached him he turned his eyes into her direction and yelled to get away, a expression of fear being readable on his face. The robed figure seemed to had shifted his body slightly, a cruel laugh escaping his lips as he said the key itself had already come to them. It was all so confusing for her. What was this key the man was speaking about and why in the world would he harm a innocent village just because of this? The key to God’s realm… A sacred treasure that is rumored to give access to the realm where God himself watches over the earth and those that enter it would be able to obtain the secrets to gain the powers God himself possessed. Long ago the gates to God’s realm was open for everyone but after a certain event he had closed the gates when he lost fate in humanity. Still he had a final shred of hope for his creations and decided to hide the key somewhere, waiting until the time the carrier of the key herself would find humans worthy enough for gaining access to the world. That key was hidden within the angelic soul of the girl, and this was why the whole village was targeted. The robed man suddenly raised a hand, the shadows of the night starting to gather together and forming into a huge black spear before he suddenly swiped his arm toward the girl, the spear flying straight into her direction. Would she die again this time? Would this truly be her end or would something interrupt her fate again? Indeed it seemed her death was not near yet for she suddenly saw a shadow appear in front of her, her father standing with his arms spread in front of her before his body made a violent shock, the spear piercing into his chest before he finally felt on his knees and apologized to the girl he couldn’t protect her. Actually the way for a angelic self of a chosen one to awaken is rather unusual for a holy being. It is one of the darkest feeling that awaken the warrior within themselves. Hatred… The wish for revenge is what awakens the angelic spirit of a chosen one and this was the emotion the young Athena felt. Hatred engulfed her heart while her desire of revenge was stronger than ever. Her eyes had narrowed into slits when all of sudden she reached out her hand toward the side and a object started to shape into it. A long beautiful katana. A bright silver blade and a white hilt, the weapon of a chosen one. Shooting a glare toward the robed man her hand wrapped around the hilt of the weapon before she charged forwards at a amazing speed, the blade swiping along the air like it was cutting butter before she reappeared behind the robed figure and closed her eyes as the man died. There was something unusual about her. She felt at peace in a way and sadness and grief didn’t be known to her mind. She silently turned around and found a rather surprising thing. While she saw the impaled corpse of her father laying on the ground she could see himself floating in the air above it, like a spirit? Indeed it seemed she could see his spirit but strangely enough she wasn’t even surprised about that. The man had apologized he couldn’t protect her and hoped she would have enjoyed her life alongside him. Still the only thing Athena did was bow politely and thank him for taking care of her before she helped his spirit pass into the next world. This was how once more the life of the young angel had changed. No longer having a home to stay at she started traveling around aimlessly, going from country to country for a few months before she finally settled down in a rather large city. The reason for her to settle down in this place was not because she was tired but rather because she grew interested in someone. During her stay in the city she had befriended a young girl who was very fragile and often hospitalized, this was why she frequently visited her in the hospital and that day was just a ordinary routine for her. After she found a small present for the girl she was on her way to the hospital when all of sudden she heard a scream, making her turn her head toward the side and witness a rather unusual sight. A huge truck was driving right toward her, seemingly not slowing in speed but before she could move the truck had already made its way toward her, colliding against her what made her be propelled toward a nearby wall. It was all so sudden… The truck that hit her was so quickly she couldn’t realize it but the only thing that registered her mind was the rather hard shock her body felt as she crashed against the wall before stumbling on the ground. It was a rather unusual feeling… Her body was burning from the pain but at the same moment it didn’t want to move. Her body seemed to become strangely warm, only a little later she could see a person clad in a white doctor coat while he said everything would be alright. It was as if her spirit was slowly being pulled out of her living body and a few seconds later she found herself floating above her own body. It was rather unusual to be honest. She didn’t even expect her body to be that damaged… Her skin was torn gravely at certain spots, some even to the point her bones became visible, a pool of blood forming under her body, to say the truth she didn’t even recognize herself! Still there was something else that drawn her attention. While most people started to form a crowd around her and the doctor who came out of nowhere to help her out a single person was standing at the other side of the street. It was a young person, a girl to be exact. Her clean white skin was derived of any possible blemish and that whiteness was countered by a pitch black robe with red borders she was wearing. Her eyes and hair had shared the same black color, the black haired girl folding her hands bellow her chest as she gazed toward the crowd, or rather toward her… Could that girl see her? Actually it seemed she was even expecting her for the girl raised her hand and waved in her direction, making her wander toward the girl before the lips of the black haired girl curled up and started speaking. Actually the girl seemed rather interested in her death, or rather in her soul. She explained that currently her body was on the brink of dying, being only kept alive by the healing powers of her angelic self but her soul had already departed, what explained that she was right now in the spirit world, or the world where the death wander before passing on. In her current state her soul would start to weaken and only death laid before her but she would be able to wander down a different path, a path that wandered on the border of life and death. The girl introduced her as Mortina, and somehow Athena questioned the name, for the words Mort and Morte came in her mind, what meant Death in two different languages. Still when she asked about the name all the girl did was laugh and tell her to solve it on her own. Still she warned Athena she should make her decision fast and so Athena ended up accepting the offer for help. Mortina had granted her a rather unique ability. A spirit can normally only function in the world of the living when they possess something, or better said have a host for their soul but Athena would now have the ability to absorb spirits to be able to create her own physical body. Still the link between her soul and a physical host needed to be supplied with spiritual energy so she was forced to absorb the spirits around her, mainly those that didn’t wish to wander toward the next world, still the hunt for spirits would have to wait, for right now her problems would lay back in the living world, and with a little smile of Mortina the girl felt her vision become blurry before she fainted. Darkness… Darkness was the only thing that inhabited her mind and heart. The events that had unfolded had just been too much for her to bear, maybe this was the reason she decided to ignore those memories and feelings, and become a true empty shell. She was no longer Athena- nor was she the angel her mentor wanted her to be. She was living in a dark void derived of any scent, sound, taste, feeling or thought. Actually it seemed she was the only thing in existence in this void, for there wasn’t even a simple rag of clothes that covered her naked body. It was like a journey without ending, simply wander straight ahead without any destination or goal in mind, before suddenly she felt a strong shock making her open her eyes and realize the void was not there around her, but rather within her. The first sight she witnessed was a white clean ceiling, one you might find in a hospital. It seemed she was no longer at the street, that was certain for her body no longer was in pain and the cold stone floor was replaced by a soft mattress. It was soon she felt a strong hand raise her arm slightly and instincts reacted, making her raise up quickly and tug her arm away, her dark purple eyes narrowed in a glare toward whoever was near her. A young man, dressed in a laboratory coat seemed slightly surprised by her reaction, his other hand seemingly to hold a injection needle and tube, seeming he was planning to do something to her. Still he smiled suddenly as he asked in a surprised voice if she was awake. After confirming that he explained her that she was involved in a grave accident and they needed to bring her to this hospital to heal her again. He also told her that during the accident she became infected with a unknown illness and that they had been working hard to find a cure for her, that was why he wanted to tap some blood from her, so that he could help her. Help her? Somehow she felt rather sadden when hearing someone wanted to help her, or was it perhaps that she felt more empty. Still she silently nodded her head as she extended her arm. This was how it continued for as long as she could remember. She always remained in that room, a white room derived of any windows and the only ones being there was herself and a few other patients who every now and then left the room and never returned, judging from what she heard they had been cured and send home. Still little did she knew the reality… During her stay in the hospital she befriended a young boy who slept in the bed next to her. He seemed to had been there for around the same time as herself and just like her he received the information he had a illness they tried to cure. Still he couldn’t stop himself from feeling something was wrong and one day suggested that he and Athena would leave the room to check out the hospital. Finding no real reason to decline his offer the girl decided to follow his plan and the next day sneaked out of the room. It was rather unpleasant that just like the room they slept in the corridors had been derived of any windows and in the end the two of them accidently stumbled into a room that contained a couple of animals. The poor critters had been locked in cages so the boy started to open the cages to release the animals while the little girl had found her way to a smaller cage and found a small hamster inside it. To be honest the little one looked rather cute and she found herself drawn to it, quickly opening it and taking a hold of it before suddenly she heard a voice yelling outside that the animals escaped. The hamster being startled by the screaming voices had bit into the girl her fingers, making her release a small yelp before she hid it inside the pocket of her clothes, whispering for it to stay hidden. It was only a little later the door had opened and the doctors found the two of them, seemingly yelling something before she felt something collide against the back of her head and she fainted again. Was it because she found something that was supposed to remain a secret? Who knows… Still when she woke up again her hand quickly slid into her pocket as if to confirm it wasn’t a dream and felt the soft furry hamster brush against her fingertips, making her release a sigh of relief before turning her head toward the side to say the good news to her friend but only stumbled upon a empty bed… When one of the doctors returned to the room and she asked where her friend had been all they wanted to say was that he recovered and was send home again. Still why was it that something didn’t seem to be right? It felt as if those guys had been hiding something and in the end she decided to check it out, leaving her room during the middle of the night. Perhaps she was lucky she was rather small in height and could easily slip into the shadows. This was how she had avoided being found and stumbled upon a door that was opened on a slid, allowing her to get inside and silently close the door. Inside the girl stumbled upon a room that could have belonged to one of those sci-fiction movies. Huge screens had been hanging against the walls with monitors and keyboards bellow them, in the middle of the room being desks pilled with papers. Silently the girl gazed around, her eyes tracing over the many screens before she stumbled upon a rather interesting screen. -CURE- In order to increase our funds we have been developing a biological weapon in the form of a virus. Still currently it seems our process has not went like we wanted. It seems that those injected by the virus their cell construction and DNA slowly gets destroyed, while this could be a way to guaranteed destruction of rival countries it seems the virus continues its work into a more positive effect. The virus starts reforming the cell construction of a individual and alters their DNA code, giving their body a sort of regeneration ability. While this regeneration process is relative slow it has rather amazing features. One of our patients ended up being stabbed by a iron rod in his leg and was supposed to never be able to walk again but recovered after a few days with only a scar remaining of what would be a permanent handicap. Not only that but after 3 years the process becomes so advanced the victim no longer ages, obtaining semi-eternal life. Still sadly enough most of the patients their bodies do not seem to be able to handle the virus safe for a few persons, one girl in question seems to even react positive toward the virus with only frequently throwing up blood, still our studies seem to state that the negative effects would end after those three years. List of patients: Name----Reaction---State Robert Kairon---negative---Death Evangeline Tsukishiro---negative---Death Kyle Lambotte---positive---Coma Athena Kanerudo---positive---healthy The document continued to state more complicated information about the virus but one thing was clear for her. Those guys didn’t want to help her, they infected her with a virus! Her body….Her body wasn’t even human anymore! Once more anger made itself known to her mind, especially for she was so foolish to trust humans, deep inside she could feel a unnatural feeling within her, as if she looked down on humans and despised them, found them to be unworthy or perhaps filth in a sort. Still her thoughts had soon be disturbed when the door opened and one of the doctors stepped inside, a gun raised in his hands and aimed at her as he said he could have sworn he saw someone leave the patient room. Still it seemed that he would be forced to kill her now she found this information. Actually it was rather unusual how she always avoided death with the help of someone else and once more this happened when all of sudden the doctor stumbled forwards and felt on the ground, behind him another man in the same sorts of clothes standing with a stun baton within his hands. He smiled softly while leaning forwards to pick up the gun while he stepped inside the room, seemingly ignoring the girl as he wandered toward the nearby computers and placed a disk inside it while he asked if she was one of the patients. After receiving a small nod from the girl her head the man explained a special organization had set up this laboratory and their research on the virus and that he was working for the police and tried to find a way to expose the organization their evil deeds. This was why he needed this information and asked her to let him help her escape so they could bring the truth to the light. Of course at first she didn’t trust the man but it was her only chance to escape so she agreed with the man and followed behind him as they ran down the corridors. Their escape didn’t went unnoticed because soon the guards found them and it ended up in a gun fight, the police agent trying to hinder the guards their approach while she continued their escape, opening the doors before they stumbled upon a sealed gate. Actually she started panicking but all the man yelled was a code and shortly after she pressed it and the gate started to open she could hear a gunshot and saw the agent who was standing in front of her fall down. Once more… Once more someone died trying to protect her. Still this time it was humans their fault! They killed their own kin… Feeling a sense of rage overwhelm her a bright burst escaped from the girl her body before a pair of beautiful silver wings grew out of her back, the familiar katana forming back into her hands. She had decided… If this was how humanity lived then she no longer wanted to be a human. She would dedicate her life to become a chosen one and not only hunt down the fallen ones and their minions but she would also kill any human who was corrupted. Some would even dare to say death itself gazed out of the girl her eyes as she flew along the corridor, the rain of bullets colliding against her wings before the men their bodies had end up as victims to the katana of the enraged girl. After she had taken her revenge and slaughtered the guards that chased her the girl went toward the agent who smiled weakly, saying he wouldn’t be able to join her on her escape but he told her to hand over this disk and her story to the person she could trust. Sadly enough she didn’t have the courage to say the story most likely would never be told, for she could no longer trust people and in the night nature wept with her rainstorms the angel fled into the darkness. Ever since then the young angel continued to wander along the world, but as a angel and also a spirit she no longer had any value to sociality so humans didn’t really notice her existence, this was how she wandered around the world, going from city to city to banish the fallen ones until her attention became focused on a certain city. Hyakuji… She never heard the name before but as she arrived at the outskirts of the city she could feel a strange shivering sensation. She felt that deep within the shadows of the city the fallen ones would be hiding also. This was why during the year she had become fourteen she would attend back to a school. Certainly she was a rather unusual person, for the fact she wasn’t really a living being most people, safe for those with the ability to sense a magical presence would simply ignore her. This is how the past end and the present begins. During the day she is known as a quiet girl, perhaps distanced and cold but during the night she is a spirit angel, a chosen warrior who is deep within the struggle of a seemingly endless war. |

Well. Seeing as you seem to have put a lot of thought into this, I'm gonna say approved. While I still feel iffy about some things, I'm gonna rule it as if you don't RP responsibly there will be consequences (namely, the sword). *puts his stamp here* |
