OoC: Bolt Towers DO NOT have that ability...in the KH games. These ones, apparently, DO. Bolt Towers also do not have the ability to EXPLODE VIOLENTLY in the games. Again, these ones, apparently, do. And for the record, killing a Minute Bomb before it explodes defuses it, so the fact the Bolt Towers exploded upon being struck...seems really weird. I mean, can we get some consistency on the nature of exploding Heartless here?? BiC: While Fan Karsus actually HAD left the building, he neglected to move AWAY from it. "Wha--" was all he managed to say before being blown away and having his lights knocked out. Lanceman is also blown away, but being a Navi, all the damage he suffers is dealt straight to his HP--he remains conscious, albeit very woozy. With his master down and no orders on what to do in this situation, Lanceman glances around a bit, then grabs Karsus up and carries him to shelter in a building that had NOT just blown up. This should protect him from the Behemoth's attacks, but would still leave both Navi and NetOp out of the battle for two rounds. Custom: 3/8 Chips: FireArm, AirSword, WoodTower, AquaTower, FireTower Program: Ninja Style - Elemental Ninjutsu recharging - 1 custom remains - Alignment Ninjutsu recharging - 2 customs remain Heart: None Sub-Weapon Damage Counter recharging - 4 actions remain Karsus unconscious - 2 actions remain Karsus and Lanceman bugged - 3 actions remain |

Nickle;s hair was buffeted around as the houses exploded, turning back to look at the buildings go up in flames. Nickle narrowed his eyes and looked through the onrush of the wind from the explosion but it was then that he saw the purple cloud spew outwards and over himself. Nickle coughed, beginning to run out of the smoke, but getting tripped up and slammed into the floor by the secondary shockwave. He gripped his weapons, slowly pulling himself up and feeling a strange sensation cme over his boy. He’d felt it too many times in the past not to recognise it. When Triyun didn’t want any cheating during Gym exams, when Master Yun wanted to test physical prowess only, when competing in a Martial Arts Competition. Nickle’s powers were being blocked. For how long he wasn’t sure, but that was the fact of the matter. Cursing under his breath, he decided to tough it out. However, he didn’t have time to worry about it, because currently he literally had a Freight-train of a Heartless charging at him. Nickle’s previous fall still had him shaken, so the best thing he could do was side step enough so as to not be impaled by its horn. Even with Selene’s valkryie assisting matters, Nickle knew the velocity that the thing was coming it wasn’t going to stop it. However this did mean he had just received a body-shaking blow. He was winded and felt like he wanted to throw up and was hoping his bones hadn’t turned to dust because of the blow. The last action he could perform was to stab Kaneryuu into the Behemoth’s head. Subsequently, this meant he was in for a hell of a ride. |

Well, let's start with, uh... unlucky Large Body Number 5. Netto's attack stabs right through the Large Body allright... but also right through the immobilized Magne, which pins him to the concrete. Whether or not any of Magne's vital organs were hit in the process remained to be seen, not that it matters anyway since he's apparently not posting anymore. Enjoy your Godliness. As to Zeronos' attack, well, now that the Large Body Number 5 was now pretty much dead, it shot through the head and... right at Netto, which shoots him off off the Large Body's slowly evaporating back and forcing him to release his weapon, which stayed embedded in Magne's back. And in case you were wondering, no, Friendly Fire no longer works because the guy who has it is both incapacitated and also no longer posting either. Whatever that meant. Now for the harder clusterfuck to deal with... the Trans-Am Behemoth! It would seem that even at the speed it was going, Jameson's blades managed to embed themselves into the monster's back, causing it to flinch and howl in pain. This caused Selene's Valkyrie's attack to hit his chest instead of his eyes. Megulmar's attempt to hit it was, as a result, pretty successful, though the sheer physics of having a massive beast run at you at the speed of your typical hopped up Aeromancer meant that the impact would knock him away some. The sword he wielded however did manage to cut its right leg, making it slow down just a tad. Meanwhile, Nickle's attempt to jump out of it was... partially successful, as Kaneryuu's blade was now stuck in its left eye and the chain part would get entangled in the side horn, taking Nickle with it as a result.. It seems that even with Trans-Am, the Behemoth was still that - a mindless bull that just happened to be three times faster than your average one. Well, two and a half now that his right leg was hurt. Luckily for Star, Selene and (perhaps unluckily) for Tatsumi, the behemoth ignored all of them. It seemed distracted by an unidentified flying object... namely, Netto. Immediately, it charged at him, intending to stab him in the chest with its massive horn and barrel through towards Zeronos as well! Meanwhile, in Kyra's dream, she would feel a hand on her shoulder snap her out of what she was looking at. "DO NOT WORRY, NETIZEN! EVEN IN YOUR DREAMS, YOU CANNOT ESCAPE JUSTICE... MAGICAL JUSTICE!" It was... a magical girl. In Kyra's dream. ![]() "Charara~ Magical Beauty Magical Otoha makes her lovely appearance~!" ... I'm just kidding, no. But it could happen! I mean, maybe prolonged exposure to the purple cloud made her THAT HIGH or something. Edited by Pikachu_Fragger, Feb 1 2010, 04:40 AM.

Meteor On Ready?

"...Ah." ...Ah. Zeronos watched in collective horror as their shot, intended for the Large Body, instead struck one of the people they were trying to protect and knocked him aside. Considering the bolt they'd fired had the power to obliterate those enemies, they could only imagine what it would do to a person. RYUUJI, YOU MORON! WHY DID YOU HIT HIM!? "I'm sorry, Taiga! I could've sworn I aimed for the enemy! I don't know how I could have missed! Should we go check on--" No. There's one of those monsters left, so let's go take it down. While Ryuuji didn't much like the idea of a hit-and-run, Taiga was right; this world had one Heartless left tormenting it, which certainly was important. But when they had turned away from the scene of the crime to run towards where the Behemoth was, they only got one step before coming to the realization that they needn't move an inch. The Behemoth was coming right at them at breakneck speed. RYUUJI! NOW! [FULL CHARGE] It was their last shot. A single Zeronos card couldn't handle consecutive charges like this, so even as Ryuuji slammed the glowing card into the handle of the ZeroGasher, it was already disintegrating. After this shot was fired there'd be no energy left to use and the transformation would wear off. This was their last chance, like it or not. "SORRY FOR KILLING YOU!" DON'T APOLOGIZE! Meglumar was tossed aside, his sword landing a small distance away from him as he lay sprawled out on the ground, his face down in the grass. "....Ow." He muttered, before pushing off the ground and back to his knees. He jumped to his feet, looking around. Okay. The cut had hit the behemoth pretty well on the leg. It was charging at Netto. If he could keep hacking into it, he could either slow it down or just kill the damn thing. He moved to his sword and picked it up. No rest for the weary. He was doing surprisingly well in this fight so far, and he was not going to stop working hard now. He ran at the beast as it ran at Netto. "Come on, just a bit more." He said to himself as he tried to cleave into it's left hind leg. |

"Oh, bollocks!" Selene threw her arms up in frustration as the Radiant Valkyrie missed with her sword throw - what might have actually been a blinding strike in the massive Heartless' eye missed due to the Behemoth flinching from Jameson's attack, the claymore embedding itself in its chest instead of sinking into an eyeball. At least the Briton's attempt wasn't in vain, as Meglumar managed to strike its right leg, putting a hobble into its steps. If they were going to take down this colossus of a Heartless, they would need to disable it first! And looking at the way things were going, this seemed like a good start. Or not, given the way Nickle was being taken for a ride on the Behemoth, with the blade of his Kaneryuu stuck in its left eye and its chain wrapped around a side horn. "Nickle-san!" Selene cried out as the electromancer appeared to be in for one rough ride, flinching and staggering back as the enraged Heartless thundered past her. "Valkyrie, do something!" The Briton called out to her summoned shield maiden. Nodding, the Radiant Valkyrie drew her contingency weapon - a longsword, her main BFS being still stuck with the Behemoth, taking fleet-footed strides after the charging Behemoth that was making a line for Netto and Zeronos. Taking a gravity-defying leap, the Valkyrie sailed through the air in an attempt to land on the Behemoth's back and drive her sword downwards into its right shoulder, assisting in Meglumar's attempt to hamstring the Behemoth. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
As Kyra deeply snoozed on, unaware of the dangers going on, she looked oddly at the self-proclaimed 'Magical Girl' in front of her. As in, rather puzzled that such a human would be in her dreams. "I'm sorry? Is that your full name or a alias you go by?" "Don't bother, sweetcheeks. She's just a illusion of your former years as a Paper User." One of the small animals spoke up, dragging along a heavy jet-black scythe that tore into the ground. The other two continued eating the flesh of their prey. "And you are?" She asked curiously, bending down to look at the tiny animal that was blanketed in darkness. "You already know who and what I am. Holding the power of the mystic Tanuki, you manifested us three from within your core. We are born with you, and we die with you. Considering you lack a Heart, we have taken it's place." The creature said bluntly, wagging a ropy-like tail as it sat on it's hind legs. "Likewise, your Master is out cold and meeting his manifested 'soul', since he had used Full Synchro to soften the impact of the explosion on his end. That soul is his loneliness, his pain and sorrow, and of course, his lack of a killer instinct." |

Jameson dissipated his swords and allowed himself to be flung back before creating a gently sloping wall to slide down and land on his feet. This bull shit was pissing him off... Er.. This hist about the bull.. not.. not this bullshit... Er, anyhow. Jameson wondered where, for a moment, a keyblade went when you didn't need it. 'M... Maybe they die. Th.. That's sad..' Mason added in. 'Oi oi? What are you thinking about at a time like this?!' James snarled in Jameson's head. "I only get one overpsyche... Defense.. offense.. or me..?" '.... Maybe since a keyblade is part of you it goes back within.. It's a manifestation of your inner light, right?' Mason said suddenly. ''Inner light.." "Inner light...!" "Something can be inside of you.. a part of you without existing where you can grasp it.. Like my keyblade, my inner light. Or like James and Mason." Jameson said to himself. "But it never goes away.. But my evoker went away.." 'SHOULDN'T YOU BE FIGHTING?!' James said annoyed. 'M-Maybe the evoker didn't go anywhere? Maybe the light and Ixa are just easier to reach so you always retrieve them instead.. Now that Ixa is gone..' Mason said. '.... The Persona are back...' James said suddenly understanding the reason this all mattered. Jameson reached into his pocket, however in his mind he was drawing out something he hadn't in a long time. The keyblade appeared in his mind, but he rejected it.. The Ixa knuckle even came before him.. but no. The weapon he needed was his weapon that he'd been given. The gun he was too scared to draw. Jameson drew out his Evoker in a flash of light. "Heh.." Jameson held the gun to his head. He knew it wouldn't harm him but subconscious fear he couldn't stop filled his heart. The terror that this was the end, the human part of him that was beyond control! palpitations of the heart! terror that made his hand and body tremble. Pure fear and yet.. Ecstacy. A twisted smile formed over his lips. "Per" "So" "Na." An explosion of white fluid errupted from Jameson's head. However after a moment it shattered apart forming into a wall of broken white light shards that spun around forming over his head the twin gods. Castor.. Pollux.. "We art thou." "Thou art we." "We have emerged from the sea in your heart, the twins of bonds that connect hearts." "Castor!" "Pollux!" Jameson slumped forward, his eyes wide with a broad demented smile. "LET'S DO THIS THEN! Ahahaha! Let's... Kill this thing!" He said arching backwards to stare up into the sky. "ZIO! God's Hand!" He said before breaking into giggling sounds of madness. Lightning cracked down from the sky, aimed direction from the beasts back. Polydeuces raised a single syringe-like arm into the air signifying his command over this assault. Meanwhile Castor rose from his skeletal black steed, taking position in front of the beast, alongside Taiga. His fist drew in enormous power as he reared back, ready to slam a massive fist into the beast. The God's Hand was his ultimate technique. Edited by Cypriss, Feb 5 2010, 02:40 AM.

"Meglumar!" shouted Star as the Behemoth sent Meglumar flying. She ran over to him, reaching out to try and help him back to his feet. He was already gone, though, jumping back to attack the Behemoth. Star closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relief. The pinpricks of pain along her arms and legs were still there, though, which meant that using any photomancy would not be good. But she hated not being able to do anything! There had to be something that she could do! She looked at the Behemoth and resisted the urge to cry in anger and stamp her foot. Without her powers, she was useless! With them, she was only a little better but at least she could feel like she was doing something! It was Niwa all over again! Niwa all...Niwa.... Pictures and images flooded her mind at once and Star let out a sudden shout of pain, falling to her knees and clutching her head. It felt like she was coming apart at the seams. The pain faded almost as quickly as it came and Star took a deep breath, staring at the ground in front of her. What the...heck...? she thought, breathing heavily. |

Nickle was feeling what was probably as much G-force as one could feel while riding something still on the ground. However, he wasn't going to be taken down by some giant clod's tackle. That would be disgraceful to every other person he'd fought with! Not to mention himself. Nickle tugged onto Kaneryuu feeling that is was firmly embedded in the Behemoth and around its horn. "Time to hog-tie this sucker!" Nickle yelled angrily, throwing his leg up, gripping onto the hilt of Kaneryuu as hard as he could, his arm muscles bunching in effort. Nickle was now basically doing a rodeo type manuever on the Behemoth, lying low to avoid air resistance, while digging his heels into the Behemoth's hide. Gripping the hilt with both hands, Nickle began to pull this way and that, hoping the pain the Behemoth would feel would be enough to let him maybe redirect him somehow. |

|
OoC: For the record, ED's not posting was on account of being unconcious--he had nothing TO post. BiC: Netto: Oh, you've gotta be--!! With Zeronos' attack slamming into his chest and sending him flying, CrossD Spectrum realizes something: Friendly Fire OFF had stopped working. That...was not good. Even worse, however, was the Trans-Am Behemoth zooming straight for him. And he had just lost his grip on GungnirSP. Why did all the bad stuff have to happen all at once? Luckily for CrossD Spectrum, he's spared a rather painful goring thanks to R Spectrum, in another topic, using DarkInvis. Since support chips are copied from one Spectrum to the other, this causes CrossD Spectrum to turn pitch-black and absorb the full impact of the Behemoth's blow. He grabs hold of the chain extending from the sword stuck in the Behemoth's eye, and pulls himself to a position directly in front of said Behemoth. Netto: Thank you, Randy! Your timing is impeccable! He attempts to use the powers of DarkInvis to generate a few basic chips, but thanks to Reset, they all fizzle. DarkInvis is only able to be maintained because it's being generated from somewhere far detached from ACDC. Grunting about this, CrossD Spectrum raises his buster to the Behemoth's one remaining eye and fires an invisible EnergyBall at it. If this beast was going to jam all his chips, the least he could do was blind the damn thing. Actually, that wasn't a bad idea. He should see about getting Randy to activate Blinder, if possible. Being a support chip, the effect would carry over onto him, and the bright flash it generated would blind the Behemoth, at least for a little while. Of course, that would require Randy's custom being filled first, and CrossD Spectrum knew (through his mental link with himself) that this wasn't going to occur anytime soon. Pity... Having fired off his shot, CrossD Spectrum runs back over to GungnirSP and pulls it out of the ground, ripping up a bit of Magne's armor in the process. Netto: ...well, crap. Pausing for a moment, Netto considers what to do. He places his spear against Magne's Navi icon. Netto: I suppose it would be best to remove the dead weight from the battlefield... With that, he shoves his spear downward in an attempt to forcibly log Magne out. Custom: 6/8 Chips: IceStage, FireArm, AirSword, Bubbler Programs: AquaCustom Style, SuperArmor Current SubType: DarkStealth (also Aqua due to AquaCustom Style) CrossD. Fusion: Turn 2/8 DarkInvis (copied from R Spectrum): Turn 1/3 Edited by Netto E. Takashi, Feb 7 2010, 04:33 AM.

The beast was fast, that much Tatsumi can tell by just how it moved to just keep its distance between it and everyone else. Tatsumi roared uselessly again at the Trans-Am’d Behemoth as it made all of his attempts to close their distance a joke; it was simply too fast to catch up. Frustrated, Tatsumi stomped the tarmac beneath him in disgust, causing it to crack. Such nonsense! He, Tatsumi Ryugami, couldn’t catch an oversized cow! If only that thing would slow down for him then maybe- Tatsumi suddenly palmed his face, remembering that, he, of all people, can control time. Sure, it only affects him, but that skill of his would finally have a great use now of all time. So if this how you want to play it, beast, then I shall join you too! Tatsumi then readies himself, taking a slow, controlled breath to steel himself against the pain he knows that will come when he uses this. From deep inside him, he began to channel the necessary amount of prana, and once he was ready, he let it flow. Triple Accel. At once, he took the first step, and he disappeared. Only that he actually didn’t, and instead appeared a few meters away from where he had stood earlier. This was his ability, Innate Time Control, the magic to create a bounded field where time flows differently. Normally, this spell is an area effect type, but as it costs a lot of prana, which he doesn’t have, he manages to limit the field to his own body, and that had worked wonders for him. Except that it hurts once he drops the field, and very, very painful at that. But he has yet to try it in conjunction with his new found powers yet so maybe his new form can handle the pain of going three times faster than normal, which hopefully, is just as fast as the Behemoth. So on he went to catch up with the beast, and once he could get close, Tatsumi would try to climb up onto the Behemoth’s massive backside or something, and stab its back or something. In the shadow of this fast colossus, Tatsumi is not going to lose! |

OoC: Yeah, what Netto said. If I HAD posted, it would have just been a short, to-the-point waste of reading, just like that first response to the boomings. (No offense intended toward the poster of that response, mind you! Despite calling the post a "waste of reading" ;>.> It still has a right to exist, and stuff...) IC: Though he had been unconscious'd by the big kaboom (and would probably have been killed if not CrossFused, though ordinarily that wouldn't have taken any longer to recover from, for him...), Ed nonetheless remained CrossFused. Since Friendly Fire On/Off is a passively continuing ability, one that lacks ontological inertia only in the context of GreatGrandMan actually leaving a Topic (including by ending CrossFusion), not when he's merely incapacitated, this means that Friendly Fire cannot be toggled back from the OFF position--or rather, it WOULD, if not for one of the effects of Reset being to end all continuing effects that are not being actively maintained! However, since Reset DOES do that, Friendly Fire really is back to neutral (attacks that normally won't work on allies won't, anything else will), any AtkPLUS that might have been used doesn't count anymore, and Ed's still unconscious for, what was it, one turn more? Actually, that anti-Power cloud is dangerous, too. Since all Navi attacks qualify as powers, Ed wouldn't have wanted to toggle Friendly Fire if he were awake right now. Since any method by which a Navi can exist outside of the CyberWorld is ALSO a power (known as "Dimensionalization")... well, let's just hope that having used a power that is still having an effect doesn't also cause pain! Though... that means Reset should have un-CrossFused or un-Dimensionalized all Navis, doesn't it? Unless that's considered a power continually being supplied, rather than done and then the effect remains, in which case being Dimensionalized is very harmful right now. This whole paragraph has been leading up to the part that matters to Ed, though: despite what was stated above, it's a darn good thing Ed didn't get killed by that explosion, since by the physics of this multiverse, his inability to stay dead is a Power. That means that, as long as the power-use-equals-pain effect is in place, each ressurection would deal Ed lethal damage... and he'd be rendered useless until the Topic is over ;>.> Hooray? OoCPS:
I hereby invoke the product of Godwin's Law times the square root of negative one, or Gi for short. At first, "but being a Nazi, all the damage he suffers is dealt straight to his HP--" "HP" being the part where my brain registered that that actually said Navi

[OOC: Ah, my bad. I kind of thought you stopped posting since I don't really see you in other threads that you could be in, kinda like Magne. Also Dodd, your invocation is denied due to Quirk's Exception: Intentional invocation of this so-called "Nazi Clause" is ineffectual. Or Navi Clause, as the case may be.] Back in Kyra's dream, well... said magical girl facepalmed. "... Wow. You know, I was just kidding, but the fact that you took a troll seriously just represents failure of the highest calibre. YOU TOO, SINCE THIS ISN'T EVEN YOUR DREAM!" she groaned, pointing at Fan as she did. "Don't troll the troll man, that ain't cool. Oh, and, uh, your little dream sequence is done, since, well, it's been two turns already." At this point, all the people who got knocked out would now wake up. No rest for the weary! You're all still affected by the virus though for one turn. Now, for those who are still in the land of the waking. Had Netto decided to try avoiding the hit in the air, he might have been spared what happened next. The combination of the Reset Chip and the Behemoth's Trans-Am mode did something to him. Because he'd been using chips from a remote location and trying to spare him from damage, he'd been safe until the Behemoth finally nailed a hit. The hit not only absorbed the damage... but the effects of the Reset Chip itself. The effects would be devastating, as it would immediately cause his connection to Spectrum to disconnect and leave him completely undefended (and as a result, fizzling the Energy ball attack before it hit). He also wouldn't be able to crossfuse with him again for as long as the Behemoth held the Reset Chip, because thanks to the hit, he was, in a real sense, clogging the connection. Nor was he able to log Magne out since, well, I can only imagine what getting timed out like that would do as you're holding a Navi weapon, not to mention some of the damage from the previous attack was fed back. Not all, but just enough to make Netto feel like he'd been slammed in the chest with a sledgehammer and making him feel like a lung collapsed somewhere. This made him just as useless, if not more painfully so, than Star was at the moment (but at least Star would get her powers back in a turn or so). Thankfully for him, the Behemoth was aiming for someone else, so it would give him a chance to at least get away to safety. Meglumar and Selene's Valkyrie's attempts to catch up to the beast was, well, was sadly just too slow, for even with the reduced speed, it was still faster than them and they didn't lead their target. Thankfully, Nickle's limited cowboy experience did the trick, as the chain ended up wrapping itself around the legs and causing it to trip and skid towards Zeronos. It made their last attack hurt and slam into the Behemoth's chest, further digging the thrown sword from earlier into it and making it wail in pain. This was added by Jameson's dual attacks of Zio and God Hand. Tatsumi's attempt to catch up to the Behemoth on the other hand was successful as he sunk his claws into its back, but it would seem that despite the damage, the Behemoth wasn't done yet! It still writhed on the ground, trying to shake off the people riding him. |
