[OOC: I apologize for being slow, BUT I finally have a post! Of some sort, anyway.

Also screw it, if you're not going to even be active enough to at least check on the board, you have no business being in an Event, so have a nice day. :P]

Well, it seemed that Kimera was taking too damn long to do something, so the Heartless just beat him up and tossed him away into the nearby sewer system after seeing that he apparently didn't seem to have enough of a heart to feel bad about the kid they just ate. Or caring to post in this Event at all. And if he attempted to fight back, he'd just be unsuccessful so he shouldn't even bother.

Back to more important things, however.

Middle of the Field Combatants (Taiga, Ein, Kiru, Tatsumi, Allegra, Magne)
Tatsumi's attempt to try and push the Large Body from the front would prove useless as he would just be bounced back. Whatever the hell their front is made of is pretty tough and impenetrable! He'd have to try a different approach. Either way, he seemed to not notice the Heartless squad coming at him from behind, and he would be kicked and slashed at hard after rebounding from the Large Body.
Thankfully, that Large Body wouldn't be able to attack him again, as Nickle's attack sufficiently stunned it enough, though not enough to bring it down completely.

Kiru's attempt to blow its head off was also a bad idea. Mostly because he was doing it from the front and at ground level, so it ended up rebounding back to him. Oops.
Oh, and he also forgot about the Heartless attacking him, so he got slashed at from behind before the rebounded Ki attack would hit him. Double oops.

Allerga's attacks didn't do much to the Large Body she was attacking either, as whatever impenetrable shield it had in front kept it from being destroyed. Neither would the light energy blast do anything - it did, to her credit, repel it towards other Shadows nearby, destroying them instead.
Taiga was slightly more successful. Her sword came crashing from above, hitting the Large Body in the head and making it howl in pain. Unfortunately, it started to rear itself back in response, raising its belly up and basically repelling her from it, and sending her into a mosh pit of Heartless.

Ein was more successful as his attack hit home and made the Large Body groan, inky darkness seeping out rapidly from the wound that was caused. In retaliation, it quickly started to flail around with its arms in an attempt to smack at him. To his credit, the action did cause it to mistakenly hit the Soldier and Shadow squad that was trying to get him from behind, knocking them back.

As for Magne it seemed that the Large Body really couldn't give a damn what he said and just walked up towards him, it's fist raised to punch him square in the face as it walked over the fallen Javelin. He... didn't get any Heartless squads after him, so at the moment, that was the only problem he was facing.

Now, on to the houses!

House 1 (Selene, Nickle)
Both were still outside and dealing with combatants, but the squads of Heartless that attacked them were easily neutralized. The Bolt Towers inside the house slowly grew stronger, however...

House 2 (Ryme)
... We're not exactly sure what the point of burning the house then dousing the flames out again to make it a miniature bath house was for, but it only made the Strafers angry. To his credit, one was taken out, and the other two were slightly weakened.
They were still angry though, and they couldn't see through all the smoke, so they just started firing lasers around blindly, hoping to catch Ryme as he ran back in. The Bolt Tower was shorted out though, but given time, it would be able to operate again and open the portal.
It seemed that he also forgot about the Shadows and the Soldiers that were after him from behind, and started to stalk their prey like vultures over a rotting corpse.

House 3 (Kyra, Fan)
The Soldier and Shadow squads pursuing the duo were quickly dispatched, with Kyra's attackers simply picking themselves up and going back into the house and after her once more.
It would seem that both of their attacks and summons were becoming quite the problem. The Fan was slowly pushing the other shadows back, while Lanceman's water attack knocked back two of the Strafers!

... However, it would seem that even the Heartless had a contingency plan for this.

One of the Strafers suddenly brought out what seemed like a Battle Chip... and activated it!

Quote:

Reset

Special Chip

That nullified the effects of Kyra's Fan obstacle, and canceled the effects of the Flood attack, making the area dry again. To Karsus' credit, he was able to slash at the Strafer and cut off one of its arms. But that left him open to attack from the other weakened Strafers, who opened fire on him! Meanwhile, the shadows were no longer being held back by the wind, so they started spilling into the room!

It would seem that they would have to rely on their natural powers to fight these Heartless!

Of course, Ed, being the 4th Wall Breaker that he is, probably knew that, but for posterity's sake would probably know better and play along as if he didn't know this would happen and figure this out on his own.

House 4 (Star, Megulmar, Netto)
One of the Strafers also used the same chip, immediately canceling out the Weather Ball and sending the Heartless in it tumbling out towards the Strafers, somewhat slamming into them but leaving them relatively unharmed. Any chips that were active on Spectrum were immediately deactivated!

The Heartless trying to attack the trio started to spill into the room, but they were suddenly attacked by Spectrum's summoned Soldiers, confusing them for a moment as they struggled with their bretheren!

This gave Star, Netto, and Megulmar enough time to attack the Strafers and the Bolt Tower. Both of the Strafers that Star attacked with her light orbs were thrown aback from the blast, while Netto's keyblade attack was parried by the other Strafer who tried to support defend it, taking the damage in its stead. However, Megulmar's attack was the most direct as it hit the Bolt Tower in the head, causing it to howl in pain and electrify itself some more. It seemed that it was trying to charge the terminal it was assigned to at a much faster pace, but the damage from the attack was too much and it exploded. This also destroyed the defending Strafers as well!

The terminal that was pouring Heartless into the real world was shut down and destroyed.

House 5 (Jameson)
Being the only person to enter house 5, one would think that he wouldn't fare any better than Ryme did. However, he seemed to know what he was doing, and he tried to attack the problem the old fashioned way.

The Strafers were pretty coordinated though. One of them took the hit from the keyblade, but the others would try to strafe him and shoot him from behind!

The shadows that were still outside gave up and decided to go after Magne instead.

Quote:

Shadows: STILL A CRAPTON OF THEM
Soldiers: 8. I'm... not going to tally all of them at this point, but Nickle, Selene, Fan, and Kyra were the only ones who neutralized their attackers. All the others are still going to try and attack their previous targets, with the exception being Star's Megulmar's, and Netto's, since Spectrum's Heartless have managed to neutralize them. The other exception is Jameson, because those gave up and went after Magne instead.
Large Bodies: 5
Strafers: 12
Bolt Towers: 4
Houses cleared: 1

TO MAKE THIS EASIER ON EVERYONE, PLEASE POST WHAT HOUSE YOU'RE IN, IF ANY. If you don't, I will be harder on you. ^_^

"It's not me!" said Star when Meglumar said that she was getting better with her light everyday. As the Strafers were hit by her orbs and knocked back against the walls, Star took a moment to take a breath and see how Meglumar was doing. His sword hit the Bolt tower dead on. Electricity surrounded the Tower and it exploded.

Star quickly turned her face away and closed her eyes, putting her arms up in front of her as she dug her heels into the ground. The force was enough to rock her slightly on her feet, but she managed to remain standing. Star blinked and opened her eyes, looking around. She quickly ran towards Meglumar and helped him sit up. The Heartless were all gone...which meant.

"Awesome!" she said, jumping up in the air and thrusting her fist up. She jumped up and down lightly as she turned towards Netto and then looked at Meglumar. "We did it!"

At least from this house, everything was clear. But there were still other houses to go through, which meant...

"Hey, Arcadia, this is Star," she said over the Arcadia connection. "Our house is clear, so if you need help or have orders or whatever, let us know~!"

"And that's it," she told Meglumar, knowing that he could hear her broadcast as well. "Now we just sit here and wait for orders. I'm pretty sure this house has running water, you can go and check that out. Ooh...and maybe some ice cream..." Star shook her head before she became distracted. "Anyway, as I was saying, that light was all you."

She giggled a bit, then turned towards Netto. "By the way. I'm Star, he's Meglumar."

As soon as Meglumar saw the Bolt Tower start to surge with electricity, eh turned and tried to get away. The explosion knocked him down to the ground, but Star then walked over to him and helped him up. They had completed the heartless elimination of the dwelling. This was probably worth celebration.

He put his sword away, and heard Star put out a call over the Arcadian link, letting other know they had finished their job, and that they would help those who need it. A good enough plan. Star then suggested he check the water supply, to which he nodded, as he moved to he kitchen, and it's sink.

"Me? ME making Light? Hmm. I guess the things others have been using are starting to affect me." He said, before starting to refill his previously empty bottles. He said, before then hearing Star introduce themselves to the stranger. "We are a part of Arcadia. We take care of heartless threats across the various worlds."

Special Chip
OoC: Flood isn't a Battlechip effect, it's one of the attacks provided by Lanceman's equipped NinjaStyle...so unless Reset cancels out built-in Navi attacks too, the Flood still goes through, washing away those two Strafers. The Fan IS a Battlechip, though, so it DOES vanish.

To Lanceman's credit, he was able to slash at the Strafer and cut off one of its arms. But that left it open to attack from the other Strafers, who opened fire on it!
...and I'm pretty sure you meant Karsus here, since Lanceman wasn't slashing anything, and you don't mention Karsus anywhere else. >_>

BiC:
Karsus notices the two Strafers Lanceman had attacked taking aim at him. Before he can take action to defend himself, Lanceman dives in the way of the shots, taking damage from both of them, but preventing Karsus from getting him. This also triggers his Damage Counter sub-weapon (NOTE: still not a Battlechip). This causes him to split apart into 20 kunai, which then fly back at one of the Strafers...we'll call it Strafer A. Karsus glares at Strafer C (the one whose arm he removed), a sly grin slipping onto his face. While using his mind to slot in Battlechips for Lanceman, he slashes at Strafer C several more times, attempting to remove its other limbs, or, if possible, its head. As soon as he finishes slotting in chips, he calls back to Ed. "Heartless have somehow escaped the Cyberworld! Help us stop them!" He tilts his head in the direction of the Bolt Tower, indicating that perhaps RGGGG should attack THAT one.

A couple of seconds after launching himself at Strafer A as a swarm of kunai, Lanceman reappears behind Karsus and attempts to arm himself with a FireArm Battlechip. The chip fizzles out, much to Lanceman's confusion. After blinking a few times, Lanceman holds his arms out his sides, at about waist height, palms forward, preparing for an attack of a different sort. He focuses his thoughts on the destruction of these Heartless, energy gathering in his palms (NOT A CHIP ATTACK!). He then lifts his arms up and thrusts them forward, generating an incredibly large (30 ft. radius) shockwave of energy that travels right through the walls of the house, not affecting the building, but dealing damage to anyone with an alignment and powering up anyone without. This includes those standing outside, but relatively near to, House 3. Since Karsus and Lanceman are both non-aligned, they both gain strength from this effect. After using this ability, Karsus summons his kwan dao (main weapon, not Battlechip), and stands at the ready, prepared to slash at any Heartless that get within 5 feet of him.

Strafer B, feeling left out, takes a quick jab at the Fourth Wall in a bid for attention.

Strafer B, feeling left out, takes a quick jab at the Fourth Wall in a bid for attention.
"All right, I'm gonna assume the differences between Heartless and Viruses aren't anything I need to know in order to combat them. Just let me finish reading the handwriting on this wall." That's what Ed/RGGGG says, but unfortunately that wall happens to be the Fourth Wall, and when that Strafer pokes it... well, it must have gotten offended, 'cause it fell on the little dude. Only it missed and hit Ed. "OW! Okay, okay, I won't--I won't do things that might offend certain Gods! That is, uh... we are NOT all characters in a roleplaying game about Heartless and other stuff and more Heartless, and I won't try and convince people we are. Please don't hurt me?"

This serves as the In Context reason why Ed doesn't have any Out of Context knowledge, despite his character bio including the explicit ability to read this Forum :P No wait, I considered that too overpowered, and cranked it back to a more general ability to Break the Fourth Wall. Either way, he won't be doing that anymore in THIS event. Walls don't like to be poked, apparently! And now it can't be seen either. All gone!

Starting on relevant things in this Post, Ed gains poweredupness from that ability of LanceFan's, due to not having been around long enough to have any Alignment points, and decides to repay the favor. "I'm not very well-suited to actual combat, myself, but I can provide support. Have a power-up!" RGGGG's AtkPLUS weapon-powerup, which improves the damage potential of the target's Main Weapon or equivalent power, is used. He intended to use it on LanceMan, but he wasn't paying attention (his eyes were pointed at that Bolt Tower), and used it on Fan instead. This is what will later allow him to realize that it doesn't just work on Navis in this multi-world. In the meantime, he points a large shoulder-mounted bazooka-like weapon at the Bolt Tower. With the sound of God yelling "GODMODE!" the gun fires a hailstorm of scalpel-like knives at the Heartless in question, knives which wouldn't actually do enough damage to even be worth noticing. They could finish off someone whose Second Chance or Undershirt BattleChip had activated, but that's the full limit of their damage-dealing potential. Collectively. Though if the Heartless can feel pain...

AtkPLUS effect has three more uses left for Fan Karsus.
Pain from zillions of papercut-like wounds will stay severe for four rounds of posting before receding to a dull ache, if the Bolt Tower is hit by the attack and actually capable of feeling pain.

"Freaking Hackers....that chip shouldn't even exist." Kyra muttered under her breath, her body giving off intense battle aura, her yellow animal-like eyes glowing with malice. "So be it. You all will die here and now." Her Battle song switched on, at maximum volume to get her psyched up for combat.

Crossing her arms in front like an X, she barged straight into the incoming horde of regular shadows, more irriated than hurt by their claws, then unfurled both arms in a 360 degree swing to unleash a fierce wide-area front and back-swipe, which was doubled by the light infused in her body. "BLITZ HORIZON! AND!" With both arms outstretched in a V now that she stopped her spin, she formed the mallets which were about the size of oil drums in both hands. The mallets instantly began rotating in place, faster and faster with each rotation until they were whirling blurs of destruction. "ULTIMATUM PLUMMEL!"

The Tanuki Mallet, as it says in the Bio, is a heavy, giant mallet that crushes anything in it's wake. Once thrown, it has a powerful gale wind around it to act as a Tornado chip, propelling it forward like a gas-fueled missile, and then comes back to both hands once it runs out of targets in it's way. Kyra had just thrown two of those weapons straight into the Strafers in front of the Bolt Towers, in which it would plow through the nearest wall to get to them. She knew where the Bolt Tower was due to her advanced sense of hearing (crackles of voltage), but didn't know that Strafers were also inside the house. Oh well, not her concern if they don't come to face her as she started kicking and punching the random auto-hittable Shadows that swarmed her.

Ryme regained his composer and forced the pain down. he looked as the solider and shadows stalked him. and pulled out. 4 fire shards. and ducked into the house the strafers lasers missing him. "give me a nice set of targets why don't cha?" life threw 2 fire shards at each of the strafers sending twin spiraling plums of fire at both. Ryme ducked back out and slashed the solider as it came up the again at two shadows that where to close.

"There's just no end to the Heartless in sight!" Selene gasped at the incoming tide of Shadows and other stronger Heartless, before glancing at the house (House 1) she and Nickle were outside. "Come on, Nickle-san!" Selene called out to the electromancer. "We've got to stop whatever is in there spawning those Heartless!" The Briton said as she stopped just outside the doorway of the house, putting her ritual dagger to her hand and once more drawing blood before getting down on one knee and sketching another set of glowing runes right at the doorway. Nickle Ryuko... Selene focused on Nickle's name, allowing him to pass safely through the Flame Ward once the spell is finished.

"Flame Ward!" As the last rune was drawn in place, glowing lines and symbols appeared on the floor to form a glowing magical circle. With the Flame Ward in place, Selene figured it would be able to clear out any Heartless that may attempt to flank them should they enter by the house entrance, as well as to prevent the Heartless outside from following them in. With no enemy within the radius to trigger the spell, the Flame Ward glowed softly with its orange light, occasionally with flickering tongues of flame jumping from the glowing lines. Although a pillar of flames will burst forth should an enemy trigger the circle by entering its radius, immolating them as well as anyone not named during the casting process.

Looking at Nickle, Selene nodded - she and her Radiant Valkyrie would join Nickle once the electromancer gave his cue to storm the building.

Nickle smiled, watching the Large Body that he'd stunned stay a bit well...stunned. He could deal with it later though, there was bigger fish to fry.

Selene was right, there heartless were everywhere, the shadows were coming en mass and didn't seem to be letting up anytime sooner. However, more so, there was something inside the house that Nickle had never felt before. A mixture of darkness and lightning. Could it be a heartless with electrical powers? Nickle began to charge forward, "Selene! Miss Valkyrie! Let's get in there and put a stop to this!"

Nickle charged past them and the moment he did, he began to charge an electrical barrier in front of him, leaving his back exposed. The barrier was wide enough for Selene and her valkyrie to take cover behind, but still maintained the appearance of what would seem to be a bullet.

Nickle aimed to bulldoze through the shadows, and planned to eventually slam his way into House 1, where he would then release the barrier.

OoC: Um, yeah, Weather Ball is also a built-in Navi attack, but since the room was cleared anyway...

BiC:
Netto smirks and his Keyblade vanishes. He glances at Meglumar.
Netto: Normally, I'd rush over to the next house and make sure it gets cleared out as efficiently as this one...but you've piqued my interest. This "Arcadia" group travels between worlds, killing Heartless? Sign me up!
Spectrum: ...and while you're doing that, I'm moving on to the next--where'd my FireArm go?!
Netto: Oh, it got deactivated somehow.
Spectrum's FireArm reappears over his right hand.
Spectrum: ...eh, I think I'd actually prefer AirSword right now.
His FireArm is replaced with an AirSword.
Spectrum: Much better. Now, as I was saying, I'm headed to house #2.
Netto: Just to be clear, is that the second house you're visiting, or actually House 2?
Spectrum: Ehn...probably gonna be House 5, actually.
Netto: 'Kay. Just making sure.
Spectrum exits House 4 and heads next door, to House 5, slashing back any Shadows that try to stop him from reaching his destination. Upon entering House 5, his AirSword vanishes again.
Spectrum: What the--HEY!
He attempts to pull it back out, but nothing happens.
Spectrum: ...okay, that's getting really annoying. WHO'S JAMMING MY CHIPS!?
Noticing Jameson getting aimed at by two Strafers, Spectrum shoves him forward, hopping back to avoid getting shot himself. The end result should be the Strafers shooting each other by accident.
Spectrum: Right, if I can't use chips, I'll do the next-best thing. HEARTLESS!
A massive swarm of Creepworms rise from the ground. Spectrum sweatdrops, watching his new minions run around being useless.
Spectrum: Well...that wasn't much help. Okay, fine, Weather Balls it is.
Spectrum generates a pair of Aqua-type Weather Balls, both in the most compact but most powerful Energy Ball form. He leaps over the Strafer Jameson had attacked (we'll call it Strafer D), and throws them both at the Bolt Tower, one after the other, aimed for its face.
The Creepworms do little besides distracting the Strafers and making it hard for them to, well...strafe about.

At first, her standard "run-in-and-hit-it-really-hard" attack seemed to do the trick, causing the massive blob to let out a shriek and writhe in what apparently passed for pain. Except that afterward, it reared back and slammed itself back upright, knocking Taiga completely off and into a horde of lesser Heartless. "GYAH! What's with these things!?" she yelled, using the ZeroGasher to hack away at the Heartless that had begun to pile on. This wasn't looking good... even though her Zeronos armor was holding for now, without firepower she would be overrun, or worse.

Firepower...

"Ryuuji! Get down here!" Taiga yelled out, shoving her way from the Shadows and Soldiers and once more taking her stance against the Large Body. She removed the Zeronos Card from her belt, flipping it over to reveal a yellow-colored side.

"Here goes!" replied Ryuuji, leaping from the ZeroLiner down to where she stood. As soon as he left the confines of the train, his body vanished to leave little more than a glowing speck in the sky, one that zipped down before vanishing into Zeronos's back. At that moment, Taiga slammed the card back into the belt.

[VEGA FORM]

Most of the green parts and armor plates of Taiga's Zeronos armor suddenly burst away from her, vanishing into light similar to how they appeared. In their place, different armor appeared to turn her into a much larger, more muscular-looking warrior. One with a taller stature, cannons on its shoulders, a cape, and a mask that was reminiscent of Gunbuster.

"Let me say this to start," Ryuuji's voice boomed, slamming the ZeroGasher sword into the ground with a loud thud and pointing accusingly towards the Large Body. What are you doing!? Get on with it! Taiga thought, berating him for doing...pretty much the same thing she'd done before.

"This face on my chest holds no meaning whatsoever!"

......

"What? It's always bothered me that there was some weird-looking face on its chest. At least it could be a dragon or someth--"

HURRY UP AND ATTACK!

"Ah, right. Sorry about this!" Without pulling the blade from its spot in the tarmac, Zeronos reared back itself and took aim with the cannon-like protrusions on its shoulders, letting loose a hailstorm of missiles right between the eyes of the Large Body!

Jameson staggered forward out of the way of the strafer attack. He formed up his barrier around him waiting out the onslaught. "Thanks for the assist?" He said with a frown. "Let's finish this in one go!"

Jameson held both arms up. His eyes glowed blue as his psychic powers kicked into overdrive. "I accept the rage within! The hatred and anger that pushes me to my limits. I accept responsibility for the danger it creates. I am JAMES!"

James, or rather Jameson in James psyche smirked confidently. "OI YA' BASTARDS! It's time for the real game to start!" He said holding out an arm with a sword extending form it towards spectrum. "Try not to get in my way shit head!" He said before dashing forward. The increased speed and reflexes o=f his power allowed him to dash rapidly towards the bolt tower directly. James's psychic armor formed around him to protect him as he slammed both his psychic swords into the creature at once, charging them with lift...

However.. He wasn't done yet!

Forming in hand the keyblade appeared, as he slashed with his second psychic sword the psychic blade surrounded the inner keyblade... The legendary three sword triple wield style! His keyblade appeared. "JUST DIE YA' FRIGGAN LIGHTNING ASSHOLE MORON!"

Hooray for Frustration!
Ein while landing, let his legs collapse under him fall down and narrowly letting the fist fly over him. The Large Body surprised him slightly with it's speed, but it was still clumsy however and easy enough to dodge without too much of a problem. Ein rolled away from it before pushing himself up to his feet. "Nevermind this thing..." Ein thought to himself. He had injured it and was 100% sure that he could outrun it and help clear the homes, and once he did that he was also sure that these stray Heartless could easily be taken care of.

With that, Ein charged quickly into House 5 and seeing the Strafers attacking Jameson from behind, immediately slashed at them. "Pardon the interruption." Ein said before slashing to let Jameson know there was another person there now.
