Meglumar quickly reached into his coat, pulling out two water bottles and using them, quickly unleashing a quick powerful stream of water at the two soldiers going after him and Star. He knew she could VERY easily wipe the lot of shadows out in no time. She WAS a user of light, after all. Star, let's take this house. He quickly thought to her, moving towards House 4, as he saw Ein. What a twist of luck...in their favor. "Ein! Heartless invasion in this world! We must defend it!" He said, before trying to kick down the door to the house. They needed to get in, and stop them from flooding out of these houses. Edited by Captain, Nov 21 2009, 06:19 PM.

This sight was actually far less bizarre to the inhabitants of ACDC Town than one might expect. The reason for this is that Netto lives in ACDC Town, and for quite some time, he had a train of his own that worked on similar principles. As a matter of fact, upon warping into the area through use of his Dimensional Transporter, Netto at first mistakes the ZeroLiner for his own Plotrain. Netto: What the--I thought the Plotrain went out of service?! Seriously, with the fabric of space-time being so fragile, transit via plothole...wait, something's different. The Plotrain always arrived a station, even if one wasn't there. This train's just...arriving. And, um...leaving. Netto blinks a few times, trying to understand what just happened. After a while, he snaps back to reality. For some reason, the Heartless ignore him during this time lapse. Netto: Oh yes! Dimensionalized Heartless...not good! Spectrum, time to rock and roll! Netto flips out his CrossDimensional Chip and slots it into his PET, causing Spectrum Omega to appear in a flurry of pixels. Spectrum: Ready when you are! Netto: All right! Let's-- Netto is interrupted by a powerful stream of water shooting past him and slamming into a nearby Soldier. Netto: ...what was THAT?! He glances in the direction the water came from and spots Meglumar, who is clearly holding two empty water bottles. Netto: ...huh. Guess he uses water for his attacks, but judging from how much he used on one Soldier... Meglumar then calls out to Ein, mentioning his desire to protect this world from the Heartless, after which he dashes toward a building. Netto: Spectrum! We're going this way! Netto pulls out a Keyblade of his own, slashing a path through the Shadows in order to follow Meglumar toward House 4. Spectrum shrugs and follows Netto, tossing the occasional Energy Ball at Shadows that come too close to him. Netto: We've got an aquamancer and no nearby water sources. IceStage and FireArm...slot in! As Netto reaches the building, he pauses briefly at the door to slot in four BattleChips, allowing Spectrum to use them as necessary. Custom: 1/8 Chips: IceStage, FireArm, AirSword, Bubbler Programs: AquaCustom Style, SuperArmor |

"Bollocks..." Selene mumbled as the first wave of Heartless made their move; the Heartless were multiplying like rabbits, and by now there were twice as many all over the place than when they had first arrived on the scene! Before she had time to think five Shadows, led by a Soldier, were already converging upon her position. She could only hope her teammates could better defend themselves. With this many Heartless, the Briton pulled out what appeared to be her most effective weapon thus far against the Heartless. Getting down on one knee, Selene began painting with her blood another set of runes, this time creating a glowing orange spell circle as one by one the runes were drawn in place, the lines and symbols formed bit by bit as the Heartless got closer and closer... meanwhile, the Radiant Valkyrie began to get ready, putting her right booted foot ahead and leaning forward slightly, her gauntleted hands clenching tightly against the handle of her light-infused claymore as the Heartless were almost upon her mistress. "Flame Ward!" Selene declared as the last rune was drawn in place, the light from the glowing circle suddenly flaring in intensity as a pillar of flame erupted from the circle just as the Heartless were nearly upon her. Any Heartless that weren't incinerated by the spell would have to get past the Radiant Valkyrie, who zeroed in on the current greatest threat to her mistress - the Soldier leading the Shadows - lunging forward with a horizontal slash aimed at the Heartless' neck, the claymore transforming into a luminous arc as the Radiant Valkyrie swung her sword! Star immediately whipped around, her long white Arcadia skirt moving in the wind as she raised up her hands and called orbs of light to them. Star's eyes narrowed in concentration as she fired out the orbs in rapid succession, firing them at the Shadows. A direct hit might be enough to kill a Shadow, a glancing one would possibly delay them. She had been practicing just before sunset ever since arriving at Florencia, and it looked like her practice was finally paying off. She didn't look behind her to see if her attacks hit. Instead, she ran towards House 4 along with Netto and Meglumar. She turned towards Ein as he called out to them. "No time to explain, come if you want!" she said, before getting close to Meglumar who seemed to be having some trouble opening the door. "Meglumar, get back!" she shouted, trusting that he would hear her and follow without asking questions as she formed two orbs of light and sent them flying towards the door. There was a splintering crack as the door broke open. Meglumar would have enough time to pull away the larger pieces so that they could enter. Enough of this huffing and puffing, she thought, Time to blow the house down! |

Nickle spun around, swinging his keyblade and Kaneryuu in quick succession after one another. The usage of two blades in such rapid succession was causing Nickle to work up a sweat. Or perhaps it was the fact that the number of Shadows just wasn't stopping! As Nickle continued to fight, reducing one Shadow after another to a puff of black smoke. Dammit, where are they coming from? There's gotta be some place. They've never appeared in such numbers before! That was when Nickle noticed it. The five different houses was were they were coming from. Scowling slightly, Nickle crossed his keyblade and Kaneryuu, before slashing in an X-shape and sending an X shaped wave of lightning out into the Shadow's, clearing a path to the House 1 and subsequently, to Selene and her Valkyrie as well. Nickle then ran forward, weapons at his side, "Selene! Come on! They're coming from in there!" said Nickle as he headed towards the house. |

Jameson moved to house 5. He raised his twin blades in front of him and carefully entered. He wasn't going to allow himself to be caught off guard. When the soldiers and their contingent of shadows approached, however, he found himself easily overwhelmed. He formed a barrier around himself trying to trap half near and half out and he turned spinning his blades around. He was using the swordsmanship he'd learned from probing Ryounosuke's mind to make each blow a deadly and precise strike. Keyblade in one hanbd, light-infused esper-sword in the other, he was going to make quick work of these minion grade punks and find the source of these heartless... Not to mention save the people within! He wasn't going to allow these things to do as they pleased. ~~~~~ Meanwhile the Arc Angel, having drawn fire and deposited it's riders, opened a portal to the world. It thrust through the portal then closed behind it. The ship was now gone from the battlefield. Edited by Cypriss, Nov 22 2009, 09:54 AM.

Meteor On Ready?

Taiga had gotten assistance indeed, as swarms of interdimensional do-gooders swooped onto the scene to try to fend off the Heartless horde. The only problem was... not one of them helped her. It was something she should have expected, considering the massive size of ACDC Town, yet somewhere in her mind, she'd hoped that one of the heroes to show up would stop by and lend her a hand before moving on. No such luck. As Taiga hacked, slashed and slammed her way through Shadow after Shadow, more simply swarmed out of buildings to take the place of the fallen. "Wh-wh-wh-what's with all these numbers!? This is insane!" whined Taiga even as she firmly grasped the bokken in both hands, swooping low to the ground and pirouetting about to knock the entire swarm back away from her. It wasn't enough... more were coming. Her sword and determination alone would not turn the tide of this battle. At this rate, she would be killed by the Heartless before being able to see the outcome of this fight. Henshin: The Girl Born Before the Dawn "RYUUJI!" Taiga yelled out, tossing her bokken skyward. Having already known what her plan was--though he couldn't say he liked it--Ryuuji was already standing by in the ZeroLiner, whizzing past far above their heads to catch the sword she'd tossed and drop something she'd be needing. A card. Or more accurately, a pass. Taiga didn't have much time. Concentrating carefully, she grasped the Zeronos Belt from subspace with her left hand, pulling it seemingly out of thin air before slapping it around her waist, the end of the belt clicking firmly into place to lock it on. Slapping the activation switch across the top, the belt let out a cry of flute-like noises, waiting for the pass. Taiga reached skyward with her right arm, Ryuuji's perfectly-timed toss landing perfectly in her hand. "HENSHIN!" Shoving the pass into the Belt, a green flash eminated from the device, followed by a rather loud announcement: [ALTAIR FORM] Various flashes of shapes and colors surrounded Taiga, obscuring her body from view momentarily. In the next moment, standing where she had been was a masked soldier of green, black and yellow. Kamen Rider Zeronos descended upon the battlefield, immediately combining the ZeroGasher into its sword form and swinging it about to eradicate the Shadows that had tried to get too close during her transformation. "Tch... I hate doing this, but it can't be helped this time! Ryuuji! Figure out where these things are coming from!" Already on it! While Ryuuji flew above in the ZeroLiner, trying to pinpoint the center of the swarm--something a few of the others had apparently already caught wind of--Taiga had a more immediate issue. Rushing through the generic swarm were more powerful Heartless, not even caring about their bretheren as they rammed a collision course for the Kamen Rider. One Soldier, backed up by 5 select Shadows. "Let me say this to start!" Taiga shouted, rearing back with the ZeroGasher and crouching into a runner's posture. "I am fairly PISSED OFF!" Sprinting towards the new enemies, she begun to spin, swinging the sword about to knock the leaping Shadows away while striking against the spinning Soldier. Most likely, those Shadows wouldn't fare well... but the Soldier might be ready for another attack. Which was fine; so was she. Taiga! The houses! They're coming out of the houses! communicated Ryuuji via telepathy as the ZeroLiner swooped past, its bull-horn blaring. Tell me that faster next time! Taiga thought back, locking sword with the Solider... |

His roar for a challenge did not go unnoticed it seems as a group of Heartless came straight for him with little regards of his fighting prowess. Instead of taking a step back, Tatsumi roars again, sprouting wicked and curved yellow blades from his forearms and charge straight at them. He jumps up at first and executed a spinning kick at the nearest Soldier before hitting ground, to which he then slashes wildly left and right at the Soldiers that dared to come close to him, all the while baring his fangs at them and hissing violently at each strike he lashes out. |

Kiru arrived in the area. He was looking at a photograph and dossier. "Alright. This was his last known location...I just have to find him. He walked through the battle field, attacks and the like flying past him but missing. He was completely oblivious to what was going on as he was completely focused on memorizing the data about his target. "Its so noisy..."he muttered looking up and seeing his surroundings. He sighed and cracked his knuckles. "I guess this mission will have to wait. I've got bigger evils to deal with." |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)

"Great...more of these guys showed up." Kyra sighed, brushing past the 5 Shadows with a few rough swipes of her light-infused iron claws to the chests and heads. Since her prey vanished, she settled on informing the newcomers instead. "OI, YOU GUYS! THIS IS A HIGH RANK ONB TERRITORY! ALL CIVILIANS ARE TO LEAVE INTO THE BUNKERS! IF YOU INSIST ON HELPING, THERE REALLY ISN'T ANY REWARD IN IT. SO PLEASE DON'T BUG THE OTHER OFFICALS WHEN THEY ARRIVE. OR THE OBVIOUS NOBODY OVER THERE THAT I'VE NEVER MET AND IS HELPING US, JUST LET HIM DO HIS JOB." She yelled, her large raccoon tail swirling around in panic. What the heck was Netto doing back? And where was Tango? That said, she sighed and walked over to House 3 with her eyes scanning for Bio-signatures of any sort. She'll have time to worry about her precious cat later. Considering that it was a school day and a Monday, there was a 14% chance humans would be living in it. The most recent heat signature was about 2 hours ago, on the front porch leading to the garage. Kyra walked around the front porch, going over into the side yard where the electric meter was stored. "Time for a rolling Black-Out." She smirked, shifting into Elec Sword in her left arm. "Then burn! Burn to the ground." She chuckled, knowing full well that this was textbook stuff for a experienced navi such as herself. That said, she thrusted a powerful stab directly into the electric meter, ready to overload the system with high voltage. "Get ready to handle the feedback, Master." She whispered, transmitting everything she saw over to the barricided Offical Center that was surrounded by a replusive DA barrier. Her 'master' was already going to work over a network of computers, shutting them down one by one since "And once the spike hits, coordinate and lock-on to the signal for immediate lockdown of the terminals." A voice could be heard from a "special" megaphone. During the crisis, Magne stole a megaphone so he could press his ego on others. He was a bit of a hell raiser, and with Ryan in a safe area he had nothing to worry about. He could not use chips however, but his powers were much more godlike in the realworld. A smooth, monotone voice could be heard throughout the streets. Heartless would wander by his and he would kick them off to the side if they came near. "My name is Magne, Underlord of the Net Mafia. Now I really hate the word sadist, and I really do, but this just doesn't happen every damn day now does it? Now it is time to have some fun. Your god demands your annihilation...! " Magne tosses the megaphone behind his head and looks at several of the groups. He decides on destroying each house, starting with house 5 first. He uproots a single street light and bends it into two metal spears. He keeps one to fend off heartless and "white knights" with, and throws the other like a javelin through the window of house 5, to establish his arrival. After so, he begins to approach the house slowly, kicking heartless aside that come near. |

Fan Karsus enters the area, having heard from other members of the NetMafia that something crazy was goin' down in ACDC Town. Upon seeing the flood of Heartless throughout the area, his eyes widen. He'd only run across three or four minor Heartless before, never a group anywhere near THIS size. Thankfully, as he glances around, he determines that there are plenty of people to assist him in clearing them out. He notices that fellow UnderLord Magne is throwing half a streetlight at House 5. This clues him in to the fact that the houses are important. Looking around with this in mind, he sees that no one is yet headed for House 3 (unless I missed someone while skimming the topic, which I don't THINK I did). In order to get there, he'll have to clear the Heartless out of his way, and with such large numbers, his own weapons would probably not be sufficient. "Good thing I was given this Synchro Chip when I became an UnderLord," he thought to himself, slotting said chip into his PET. Lanceman appears before him in a flash. With a quick button press, Karsus equips Lanceman with Ninja Style, though there is no visible sign that it's been equipped. "Lanceman! Clear a path to that house!" Lanceman nods slowly, then pulls out his kwan dao. Without a word, he begins slashing at the Heartless that stands between him and his destination--mostly Shadows, which should be weak enough to die in a single hit. Karsus follows and pulls out his katana, slashing at any Heartless that attempt to fill in the gap behind Lanceman. Custom: Full Chips: None Program: Ninja Style - Elemental Ninjutsu unused - Alignment Ninjutsu unused Heart: None Edit Okay, trying to use gold for Karsus' speech burns my eyes. I'm switching to something that's easier to see on this background--orange. Edited by Fan Karsus, Nov 24 2009, 08:30 PM.

*Fawning Internally*
|
Kimera's attempt to shoot down the approaching Heartless was a noble, but futile gesture, as he missed the Heartless shadows that came for the kill. Two of the shadows swiped his arm with their claws even as the other two were shot back, but the Soldier that rushed him from the front kicked him from the child he was protecting, forcing him to let go of her. The child was quickly overrun by the other shadows, and like piranhas on a piece of meat, they shred her limb from limb. She was still alive, and her bloodcurdling cries piercing the air just as her heart was ripped out and her entire body seemed to vanish, the blood and some body parts being the only thing that even acknowledged her former existence. But it was the violence of the act, the knowledge that he had failed to protect the child right before his very eyes that might scar Kimera's psyche for a long time to come. Meanwhile, the others seemed to be faring well. Selene's Flame Ward incinerated her attackers, and her Valkyrie finished the job for it on the Soldier attacking her too. Nickle's X attack did destroy the Shadows attacking him, but the Soldier managed to stop his spin in time to dodge the attack. It did, however, give the Electromancer the chance to clear the way and get to Selene and House 1. Ryme was able to reach House 2 in relative safety after his shards destroyed his enemies. Kyra, Fan and Lanceman were able to clear a path to House 3, the latter two having just arrived at the scene with nobody to really oppose them just yet. Kyra's attempt to overload the house with electricity though... didn't seem to work. It would initially seem that her assumption of terminals being the only access point for these Heartless was wrong!... Megulmar's water attacks and Star's light attacks managed to hold their Heartless at bay, allowing them and Netto, the newcomer, access to House 4. Jameson's keyblade, lightswordmanship and barrier skills systematically tore through his enemies, and they too vanished in a puff of inky black smoke, giving him access to House 5. Magne tried to toss a javelin through one window of the house, but it was suddenly stopped and it bounced back at him. It would seem that the 'God' would find that his request for annihilation would be denied completely by a giant blob of a Heartless - a Large Body burst through the house, window and all! In fact, all of the houses now had Large Bodies bursting through the front doors! Fortunately for those who started running to the houses, it seemed that their girth has also given them a bit of far-sightedness, as they completely miss the people already running towards the houses earlier (except for the one that Magne hit - it would seem that he 'aggroed' the Large Body and made it go after him in particular) and instead focus on attacking everyone else who was still in the open (Taiga, Kiru, Ein and Tatsumi, who also apparently managed to scare off a few of the Heartless and stun them in their tracks momentarily from his roar)! As to the interiors of the houses, the reason behind the Heartless still spawning from them despite Kyra's attack was now clear. The terminals no longer needed outside power to work - they were powered by Bolt Towers! ![]() Destroying these things should shut them down, but they had guards. The Large Bodies apparently went to fight everyone else because they could afford to - three Strafers were guarding each of the Bolt Towers powering the terminals/portals for the Heartless! ![]() As soon as they managed to get inside, the Strafers would open fire at the combatants with their lasers! Even worse, Shadows were still flowing from them and randomly attacking everyone! The portals were no longer summoning Soldiers at this point - no, they were bringing out the big guns now. Even so, the remaining Soldiers would run up to each combatant in the same manner as before, but this time, from behind!

The effects of Selene's Flame Ward were immediate and devastating as the five Shadows were quickly incinerated by the pillar of flame that sprang from the circle, leaving the Soldier that was leading them, being a bit more resilient, managed to hold out despite being on fire, attempting to land an attack on the Briton. The Valkyrie moved in swiftly to intercept the incendiary exponent, dealing it a fatal slash with her light-infused claymore. "Cor blimey!" Selene exclaimed as a bright flash of light obscured her vision, forcing her to raise her arms over her face to shield her eyes from the glare - Selene could feel her hairs stand on end, indicating to her some kind of electrical attack has been used. As the Briton's sight cleared , she would find that the source of the flash earlier was none other than Nickle, who had just blasted a path through the Heartless and clearing the way towards House 1. "Selene! Come on! They're coming from in there!" Nickle called out as he ran towards the house with weapons in hand. "Right behind you, Nickle-san!" Selene replied. "Valkyrie, follow me!" The Radiant Valkyrie nodded silently as she rested her claymore on her right shoulder and ran next to Selene towards House 1. "We've got a Large Body ahead of us!" Selene pointed at the Large Body that had just emerged from the doorway of the house she and Nickle were headed towards. "Master, behind us!" The Valkyrie called out as she spun around to face an incoming group of five Shadows led by a Soldier, light-infused claymore swiftly back in her hands. What a pain! Selene thought. "Valkyrie, take them out!" The Briton ordered as she tried her best to keep up with Nickle's pace, leaving her Valkyrie to take on the incoming group of Shadows and their leading Soldier. Catapulting herself forward, the Valkyrie performed a series of quick slashes, performing a light show combo with her light-infused claymore that took down the incoming Shadows, before finishing with a thrust aimed at the Soldier's chest. "There's another group headed for you too, Nickle!" Selene shouted over the din of battle, attempting to alert Nickle of a group consisting of five Shadows and a Soldier coming up from behind the electromancer. Edited by Lawman, Nov 26 2009, 08:24 AM.

As Nickle ran towards House 1, he heard Selene's warning just as the Large Body came into view, a grin crossed his face, "Don't worry Selene! I got this one!" Nickle had been running, with Kaneryuu and his keyblade being pointed towards the ground. He glanced over his shoulder to see where Selene's Valkyrie was at, to make sure he wouldn't hit her, while he assisted in taking out the Shadows and Soldiers currently behind them. "Selene! Get ready for a 10 hit combo!" Nickle was getting closer to the Large Body, when he was about 5 meters away, he jumped up into the air slightly, the motion showing he was going to do a sommersault. As he was moving forward, he slammed both Kaneryuu and his keyblade into the ground sending two lines of lightnig rushing towards the Large Body and also giving him an added arial boost upwards and forward. While Nickle was upside down, he could see the heartless forces behind him and so slashed vertically with Kaneryuu, horizontally with the keyblade and then another X slash with the 2 blade, sending a total of 3 arcs of lightning zipping towards the shadows and soldiers. "And now the finale!" he said, as he came upright again, just above the Large Body. Nickle shifted his weight to his right, causing his body to tip. He extended both arms and began to spin, slashing like a propeller at the large body for a total of 4 seconds and therefore 4 slashes. After his last slash, Nickle quickly threw his head back and tucked his legs in. The momentum would cause him to be facing with his feet towards the Large Body and his head towards Selene and her Valkyrie. Nickle's legs then pistoned out, firing a lightning bolt from each foot at the Large Body and propelling him back from where he came. Flipping over, landing with a skip behind Selene and causing the dust to rise, Nickle smiled, "Smokin'!" |
