[Time: Morning] [Day: A couple of days after Disgaea and Show Time] [BGM: Tranquility Lane] It was a lovely day in the neighborhood, the birds were chirping, and the sun was shining brightly in the sky. Children were outside having fun, couples were walking around hand in hand, and neighbors came out to say hello. The residents of ACDC town were enjoying their rather idyllic and quiet day in peace. It was just another lovely day. Little did they know that all hell was about to break loose. CRASH EXPLODE [BGM: ACDC - Thunderstruck] Suddenly, from one house, a bloodcurdling scream from a mother could be heard as an inky black creature suddenly broke through her child's computer screen and devoured its user. It had weird antennae on it and glared at the mother from behind ominous yellow eyes before it turned on her. Behind it, the screen flickered as more of these creatures started spilling out. It wasn't just at once house either. Many other houses were experiencing the same thing. The fragile, quiet lives of the ACDC residents have come to an abrupt end. These things that they thought were nothing more than a new kind of virus that was spreading around lately have suddenly become frighteningly real. None of the residents Navis could prepare their masters for what was to come - they too were probably devoured anyway. The Heartless Army have come, and they were here for this world's heart. Of course, in another universe, another alarm sounded. After all, the residents of Traverse Town were preparing themselves for things like these, especially since they've become more prolific as of late in the other worlds. Nobody seems to have figured out why they were attacking these places, or what makes these places so irresistible to the Heartless. All they knew was that they had to stop them lest another world fell to their clutches.

Meteor On Ready?
|
[BGM Override: Form Ride] If shadow-creatures popping out of computer screens freaked the people of ACDC Town the heck out, then certainly a train with a bull fascia appearing from seemingly nowhere on rails that materialized themselves under it would be a sight to see as well. The ZeroLiner let out a wail as it passed along the main drag of town, a road wide enough that the train could run through, drop off its cargo and leave without worrying about clearances. As the train flew back off into the sky and vanished into a rainbow portal, apparently only one thing had been dropped from the train as it flew through: a petite girl. Equipped apparently only with a wooden sword, she looked around at the people running in panic... and the multitude of Heartless hunting them down. Creasing her brow in anger, the bokken whirled from its resting place atop her shoulder into fighting position. "So these are the Heartless..." Are you sure about this, Taiga? You don't have any experience with these things. It could get dangerous if you don't transform... Ryuuji cautioned telepathically, but she just snorted and gave a smirk to the nearest Shadow before trying her luck. Screaming a loud "URYAAAA!" battlecry, Taiga leapt skyward and brought her bokken down on the thing's 'head', the Shadow comically compressing into the ground before vanishing in a wisp of smoke. "Hmph. I've got plenty of experience with kicking ass, and that's all I need!" she yelled out, unnecessary as Ryuuji could hear her mind, but necessary for her to keep her vigor up and going, her bokken slashing another Shadow apart from the hip. The numbers were against her... but considering the alarm back in Traverse Town, surely there would be more to save this beseiged town than just herself. ...she hoped. |

The sky split open as the Arc Angel burst through. Arcadians were all situated within. The large blue ship shifted. It's wings folded outwards as it switched from DIMENSION Driver Entry Mode (DimensionD.E.M, or DinDem) to Arc Angel Mode. It slowed as it swooped around loosing speed rapidly as it circled over the city before lowering and landing in the nearby streets. The panic of the city did not deter the ships pilot as it was rather good at landing pretty much anywhere. It opened up, Jameson hopped out of his seat and leaped into the streets. He pulled his collar up. "Okay, standard operating procedure. Kill the heartless, stick together. Don't spread too thin.." He glanced around. "It seems like the heartless are coming from within the homes. Let's take teams of two or three and sweep the nearby area, clearing it out. If you see something soldier level take it out. If it's bigger than that do not be afraid to call for backup. Let's minimize casualties until the leader shows up.." He formed his keyblade. "No one takes on anything large than a large body without calling for assistance, got it?" With that he turned and rushed into the mass of heartless swarming the streets. He swing his key blade violently, plunging into the swarming mass of black creatures If we get overwhelmed we'll group back up here. I'll clear a place for us!" He said confidently. |

As the masses of heartless swarmed through the streets of ACDC at an alarming pace, a sudden flash of gold and blue would be hurled into their ranks. Whether the Shadows it was thrown at were destroyed by it or not, a something would be seen to be sticking out of the ground, a strange weapon.![]() It suddenly vanished in a burst of light appearing back into it's owner's hand. Slowly, the paired of boot clad feet touched down on the ground, a shower of glowing feathers falling to the ground around him as he unsummoned his wings. This was the first world he had visited and it had seemed peaceful enough. He couldn't let such a peaceful place fall to the Heartless. And now, he had discovered a tool with which to do it with. With a Keyblade in the right and a light infused Kaneryuu in the left, Nickle approached the oncoming Heartless masses. "I might not know everything about this thing...or how it chose me, but it seems to vibrate with anger whenever it's near you guys," he said addressing the heartless, "So I'm going to cleave you away with it!" Ever since his trip to Niwa, Nickle had been feeling an incredible warmth inside of him, something he'd never felt before. It was only pure chance that as he was battling heartles in Traverse Town, an emergency message saying that the world of EXE was in danger and that as if in response to the threat, this weapon formed. The police officer had said that a man in black told him that light and the key were the way to change this. Well if this was a the key he meant, then Nickle sure hoped there were more of them. The more people who had these, these Keyblades the better. |

Star straightened up in her seat as the Arc Angel arrived, swallowing hard as she straightened her cloak and glanced back at Meglumar. After that little scene in Niwa, he probably already knew that she was absolutely terrified of doing this. But someone had to, and after Niwa, she wasn't going to pass the buck now. Star's nervous look turned into a grin as she gave him a thumbs up and jumped out of the Arc Angel into the waiting mass of Shadows below. Roger that! said Star cheerfully over the Arcadia link as Jameson gave his orders. She turned back and smiled at Meglumar. "I guess you're with me again, right?" she asked, before focusing the sunlight overhead into her photomancy, a grin on her face as she turned around to face the Heartless. "Showtime again, boys," she said with a smile before extending her hand towards them and focusing her light into something she had never focused it into before. A sheet of light would form heading towards the nearest group of shadows. It was large enough to cover an area with about ten Shadows side-by-side, but since they weren't really side by side, that was an optimistic estimate. Her photomancy had gotten just a little more potent since Niwa, something that she was happy about. She felt as if inside her, a barrier was beginning to unravel... Of course, Star had no idea what that could possibly mean. |

Chosen of Ares

"Hardly a quiet moment these days, it seems," Selene commented as the Arc Angel arrived on the scene, addressing no one in particular. Following the cue of Jameson and Star, the Briton got off from the ship, transforming from her street clothes to her Arcadian field uniform in the blink of an eye. Shadows? Shouldn't be too much of a problem, hopefully. At the moment the strongest Heartless present are Soldiers; but if her experience fighting them at Niwa had shown anything, it usually meant stronger Heartless will spawn soon enough. "I summon thee, Valkyrie!" As soon as her feet touched the floor, in one practiced motion the Briton ran the blade along her right palm, drawing a stream of blood as she began to deftly paint the runes for her summoning circle on the floor, the glowing lines that make up the circle appearing as one by one the runes are drawn in place. There was something she couldn't quite put her finger to, but the Briton could feel that something within her has awakened since the last crisis response in Niwa. ![]() The spell circle flared to life as a glowing portal appeared in its center, the sleek, armored form of the Valkyrie rising forth - the circle glowed more brightly than Selene could recall, the surroundings being lit both by the blue glow of the summoning circle, and the golden glow that now seemed to engulf the summoned shield maiden. Is this the light the man in black told the officer about? She wondered, amazed at the change that had come over her Valkyrie. "Valkyrie, watch over me!" At her mistress' command, the Radiant Valkyrie raised her light-infused claymore, which glowed more brilliantly than the halo surrounding her body as she stood protectively next to Selene, keeping a watchful eye for incoming enemies while the Briton readied another spell, but first catching her breath before her body can take the strain of spellcasting this quickly. Meglumar felt nervous the entire trip. The fact that he felt this nervous was beginning to irritate him. Being irritated was irritating him! He was taking deep breaths the entire trip. Fighting off the heartless menace? Nothing compared to being on this giant flying...THING that went through realities. As soon as they arrived, he gripped the chair to be sure the strange ship hadn't transported him into some new reality. He sighed in relief as he realized, for once, a new form of dimensional travel didn't send him to some place other than the expected destination. He joined the rest of the group on the streets, his legs shaking a bit from the trip, doing his best to calm down. They received their orders, from the same person as before. Meglumar simply nodded, standing up straight, checking to make sure he had at least 3 water bottles on his belt. He REAAAAAALLY did not want to have to use blood anymore. He nodded to Star as she spoke to him. More fighting heartless together. This was becoming routine, which was both slightly funny and slightly fear inducing. He unsheathed his sword, and began to cleaved into Shadows. From what he could tell, these humans had no special powers, since most of them were running. |

The Middleman (stubborn, yet relaxed)
|
A car flipped over in the middle of the street, hanging over a small group of Shadow Heartless in mid-air as a massive metal mallet plowed through it, unleashing a torrent of gas-induced flames upon the hapless insects. Of course, the pieces of the shattered car didn't really effect much save for the ground, as a lone warrior strode her way through the flaming pavement. It was if the flames parted a path for her, or maybe it was the fact that she was inflammable. "Okay, who brought them here?" The 7 foot tall, somewhat furry, raccoon-dog humanoid navi said crossly, summoning the oil barrel-sized mallet back to her outstretched metal claw that could crush human skulls like a grapefruit. Her long striped tail showed that she was quite on edge, dismayed that Xiroh's warning came true. "That bastard Xiroh....he must have summoned them once their numbers were at maximum." "And that appears to be the source of it all, since I've never seen it before. I have to take it out before it summons any more of them." She muttered, gazing up at the hovering Arc Angel. Rotating the big mallet in her hand, she targeted the hull once the spin was at maximum piercing potential. Since it was Breaking element, she could tear through armor quite easily at top rotary throw. |

Rymes intro music Ryme stepped thro the gateway shard sword already in his right hand one of each of his shards powering it, and 4 fire shards in his right hand with a smile on his face. "Today those of evil will be judged and they will be struck down!" Ryme crouched and ran turning down the street swinging his shard sword into three heartless watching as the blade seemed to glow in delight. "I will struck you and all your kind down!" when the shard sword came full tilt he swung it straight down at another heartless. shadows are nothing to my blade! |

Across 'town' from the Arcadians, even as the racoon-like cross fused navi struck, in front of the elementary school, a lone armored figure had arrived. Flying his standard patrol pattern over Den City, Kimera had been close enoguh to drop in within the first three minutes of the invasion. He hadn't been fast enough. One armed wrapped around a crying little girl, Kimera had been forced to discard his heavier weapons when he ran out of ammo. His pistol firing into the shadowy heartless, he clutched the terrified child to him, his back against the wall, blood splattered over him and the child, all that remained of her unfortunate parents. "This is S3-G214. Any X-Class Net Battlers, RESPOND. I got a Class-S situation here in ACDC, and if I don't get support these kids are just so much meat. And when I say support, I mean whatever f%#$ing cavalry you fucking have. I don't care if you're the Underking himself, get here and help me protect these children!" The broadcast was open channel, radio. It was accompanied with a binary data packet that would give all pertinent information to anyone receiving it. It was Kimera's ace in the hole... if he didn't get backup, he was going to need to use his Joker. |

No doubt about it, they’re everywhere. Tatsumi Ryugami’s journey this time brought him to the world of EXE, as the travel brochure has stated. Supposedly a peaceful world with advances in cyber technology that blur the boundaries of their ‘real’ world and the cyber world, existing peacefully side by side in a somewhat utopian state. Except that after a day arriving at the place, he was quickly proven wrong. Nothing is sacred anymore with these things running around, Tatsumi thought to himself as he snaps a quick picture of the carnage happening in front of him, with Shadows prowling the area looking for more people after clearing out one neighborhood. People were crying, screaming for help or dying wherever the Heartless passed through, and Tatsumi can no longer keep taking pictures anymore. His transformation into the green insect-human hybrid Gils was never clean, and always painful in one way or another. But the end result was pretty much worth it: a flying kick into a line of Shadows would sent them all flying backwards and hitting one another and maybe even killing them outright. It was rare for him to get involved in battles these days and at the center of the carnage he was now part of on the defensive side, he roared a challenge to any Heartless that dared to take him before turns on them, his primal instinct kicking in. |

Indeed, the Heartless were spawning from everywhere. It seemed that something broke the boundaries between the real world and the cyber world - enough that the Heartless, who seemed to previously only exist there, could now invade the peaceful town of ACDC. Even as the cavalry arrived, it would seem that more Heartless came to bolster whatever numbers were wiped out. They were all pouring out of the cyber world from people's computer and navi terminals, very much like a flood. And sure enough, more soldiers came to their aid. Their numbers have doubled! The soldiers ran up to each combatant, each with an escort of five shadows. The attack pattern was mostly the same - their shadow escorts would leap at their prey, two from above and the others from below, and then they would be rushed by a spinning attack by the lead Soldier. They all seemed quite coordinated in their attacks... perhaps something was controlling them from the shadows? Either way, the tide had to be stemmed somehow! Perhaps Jameson has the right idea with regards to clearing out the houses... while Heartless poured from all of them, five houses in particular had the strongest concentration of them! (For purposes of clarity, I shall just call them Houses 1 - 5. Feel free to describe what they look like or something from the outside, but not the inside).

Ryme smiled as the grope of heartless attacked him. He three one of his fire shards at the the solider sending a plum of fire at it, and swung his shard sword at the bottom three shadows. As he completed the circle he began another rotation swinging his sword at the two heartless in the air. there are more coming. At this rate we will be over whelmed. I must destroy the source. Ryme looked around and found that the heartless where streaming out of the houses nearby. Not waiting to see if the heartless attacking him where destroyed he ran past them and headed to the fount door of a house pulling out two water shards. as he got there he waited to see what would come out. (Ryme is at house 2) Edited by Life, Nov 21 2009, 04:23 PM.

Hooray for Frustration!
|
Amidst the battle, a bolt of strange looking lightning struck a tree, toppling it over, however what was left wasn't a smoldering tree. It was in fact, a very dazed young man with a gold lightning bolt shaped sword and blindfolds over his eyes. Ein blinked a couple of times, still puzzled on how his rift could end up as something like that. "....Eurgh...As I thought...Unlocking a bit of the power of Einherjar to do something like that...Bleeehh...." Ein muttered, looking rather sick. He finally turned around and hurled behind a bush because of how disoriented he was, before a Shadow spotted him and tried to attack him while he was distracted. Ein however, quickly sliced it in half while still slumped over. Despite his blindfolds, Heartless were quite easy for him to see now. Sort of. Their odd nature and auras made them rather unique, so they were quite easy to sense now. "Bleugh....What's going on here?" Ein said, finally removing his blindfolds. A rather large battle field greeted his sights, full of unfamiliar people, some sort of giant insect taking out the Heartless, a Valkyrie which for some odd reason, the Einherjar pulsed faintly to, Meglumar, Star, some sort of Fox Raccoon...Thing.....And the list went onwards. "...What in the name of seven hells?" Ein asked, rather bewildered. |
