Meteor On Ready?

Ayane Isuzu was not one of those people you wanted to cross, especially not since she'd returned to this shattered world that had once been known as Hyakuji. You could almost say that her personality had reverted to how it was when she had first shown up in that strange, magical city. Specifically, the anti-social personality that had lead her to destroy an entire classroom over something as petty as a laid-back homeroom teacher and a clumsy classmate. In fact, perhaps how she was now was actually worse. This time around, she actually had a valid reason to be unhappy, a valid reason to be annoyed, infuriated, and the like... all day long. Her normal avenues for venting had also apparently been caught in the dimensional shift, leaving her no healthy way to let off steam. Before, she could try battling people in the arcade. Try browsing the 'net. Take out some Invaders with her Imitation Gates. Or perhaps most effectively, fall asleep in Aisia's loving arms. She could do nothing here but let her thoughts mull around. Taking out Heartless was something of a stress reliever, but when people got in the way--like today--it became more of a nuisance. Especially whenever she ran into the limitations of her armored suit, its lack of any special weaponry aside from its basic enhanced strength. Anyone who knew her personally would likely also realize how sour having to use her Gate abilities got her to be. So, take all of that rage and mix it together on pureƩ. That was how Ayane Isuzu walked into the BOARD, er, boardroom, slamming the large double-doors aside and ignoring the secretary who timidly attempted to make her wait until she'd paged Leo to announce her arrival. No way. Leo owed her answers, and she had no time nor taste for pleasantries. "Leo Emmerich. I'm going to have to ask you to explain yourself," she said dryly, tossing down a digital pad with some data and photos of both Kaixa and Delta on it. It was the limited data from the Faiz Gear she'd gathered out of BOARD's database during the fight earlier. "Data exists on these two, and the designs are just like the Faiz Gear. What are you trying to pull, giving me this half-assed gear when these two are running around fully-armed, with support mecha? I thought you'd said the Faiz Gear was the only one of its kind left." After all, that was what she'd been told. After creating the Faiz Gear, Leo had said he'd no reason to create anything else, not until the Undead and Heartless invaded, prompting him to put R&D into the Ace-class gear designed for interception and sealing of those foes. "Ah...those two..." Leo didn't seem fazed by Ayane's sudden appearance. Ayane had always been a tad difficult to deal with ever since she was recruited into the organization but there wasn't much he could do about it. Regardless, he just pushed his glasses up and taking a small breath, he did have a lot of explaining to do and may as well do it in one go. "Yes, those two are based off the Faiz Gear, but I never had a hand in developing them. I left Smart Brain and never turned back." he began, his tone serious yet was enough to tell he wasn't lying. "Of course, that didn't stop them from using my research apparently. The fact I disappeared from Niwa was what probably allowed for them to just up and use it without my permission." he sounded kind of bitter this time, he loved his work, and had different reasons for making the Faiz Gear. The Delta and Kaixa ones however...were purely for military use, which, while expected from Smart Brain, is why he chose to leave the company. "So yes, they exist, and yes their equipment is more complete than yours. The question is, what do you want me to do about it?" Leo asked. She knew a lot of his gear wasn't working, and he had been trying to fix some of it in his spare time... |

At first, she didn't want to believe that Leo was washing his hands of the two new Riders. He had obviously developed the gears, so how could he not have built them? However, the way he unflinchingly gave his response, his professionalism... He wasn't lying. These were his designs that someone, somewhere, had apparently completed on their own. As for what she wanted him to do about it? "I request equipment. The armor itself isn't going to be enough anymore, not with how much more dense the population is getting. If I'm unarmed, I'll be overrun. I am... assuming you have something?" He had better, anyway. The Faiz Gear was her only alternative to using the Gate of Gale, and at this rate, she'd have to use it anyway any time she got into a fight. She needed something better. She needed weapons. Lots of weapons. |

"As a matter a fact...I was going to call for you about that anyway." Leo responded with a rather earnest smile. Ever since he gave the gear to Ayane he had been working to get the rest of it in working order. One of the more urgent pieces of equipment was completed just today, and so...Leo just stood up from his seat. "Just follow me." he stated simply enough. Leo would be taking Ayane to where all the Rider's bikes were, and eventually they'd just come up to Faiz's personal ride: the Autovajin. |

Ayane arched an eyebrow as Leo smiled and stood from his chair, gesturing to have her follow. Without any reason to refuse, she wordlessly trailed behind him as he left the office and headed towards the parking areas. Along the way, she said nothing as various random BOARD employees approached their president, handing him various papers to sign and approve, or holding small conversations with him. It was rather interesting, after all, that he was able to delegate while walking down the hall. Not once did he slow his pace. Everyone merely moved with him. Until, of course, they got to the Rider Garage, where only those who were official Field Agents would be allowed entrance. Sliding his ID across the lock, the doors parted and both of them stepped inside, passing row after row of various vehicles. There were field vans for those who were assigned to observe and report battles, as well as the various Rider motorcycles and support craft. Finally, in one of the corner spots, was a rather unremarkable silver motorcycle, no more complex-looking than a motorcross vehicle. Leo had... stopped walking in front of it, so this must be what he had been referring to. Pausing for him to perhaps reveal something else--which he didn't--she then sighed and put her hand onto her hip. "Leo. Do I really look like the sort of person who rides a motorcycle? I asked for a weapon, not a dirt bike." |

Leo remained silent, it was an expected response, but otherwise didn't pay much attention to it. Instead, the man all but moved next to the bike and tapped the Faiz symbol on the bike's gas tank... [BATTLE MODE] In that instant, the bike would suddenly transform into well...a humanoid robot. There wasn't any other way to describe it, without being too technical. With one hand wielding it's wheel as a shield, the free one would just give a small salute to Leo. If it could show emotion it was quite happy to see it's creator after all this time. If this wasn't enough to impress Ayane, well, Leo also pulled out the handle on the Autovajin's shoulder, and unsheathed the red sword known as the Faiz Edge, and held it out for Ayane to take. "Any other complaints?" |

[BATTLE MODE] Now both of Ayane's eyebrows raised as the motorcycle twisted itself into a sort of tall robot, one wheel as a shield on its left arm, the other apparently as a sort of thruster on its back. There it stood in the parking space, saluting Leo while its 'eye' sensors blinked furiously. As if a transforming motorcycle wasn't enough to convince her, Leo then pulled what was apparently the handle of the motorcycle from one of the robot's shoulders, revealing it to be a melee weapon of some sort which he handed to her. She swung it around a few times, getting a feel for the weight, the way it swung. Apparently, the short emitter on the end extended into a blade, probably when the Faiz Mission Memory was inserted into it judging from the slot on its side. This was it... her first real weapon. And a support weapon to boot. "Any other complaints?" Leo asked, smiling still. Swinging the short handle one last time, she held it out to him so he could place it back into the robot's shoulder. "None." |

"Very well. I've got a few more adjustments to make to it's AI, but they're mainly minor tweaks and they will be done by the time you deploy again." Leo stated as he took the Faiz Edge and sheathed it inside the Autovajin's shoulder. With that, he pressed the same button as he did before, which was now located on the machine's chest, to initiate the transformation back. [VEHICLE MODE] "Oh, and if you're worried about not being able to ride it, it's capable of driving itself." Leo added before turning back to Ayane. "If you have any other questions feel free to ask." |

Ayane shook her head to indicate that she had nothing more to ask, turning about face and walking back out of the garage. Her business here was done, and she needed a shower anyway. Then probably rest, since tomorrow was back to the grind. It was almost... depressing, really, that she didn't bother to explore any of the events that kept popping up around Traverse Town. Of course, she saw the signs posted by people advertising gatherings for Hyakuji survivors and survivors of other worlds, but she was much too busy trying to destroy this world to bother. What was the point of talking about how 'the old days' were when she could spend her time better actually bringing them back? The only way to do that was to defeat the Undead. The Heartless. The countless other dimensional demons that had ripped this place apart. And if they were lucky, doing that alone would restore order to the multiverse. If it didn't... well. She didn't even want to think about that. |
