The girl always wears some kind of accessory on her head, sometimes a bow, but more often a crown. The girl also favor frilly and dark clothing, namely slightly more gothic clothing.

Occupation: Student
Grade Level: 1st Year
Alignment: Neutral
Powers/ Abilities:
Human Consciousness, according to Antonio Damasio, is divided into four parts, one rooting off another. The first part is the proto-self, the biological part of you. Your breathing, your blood pulses, your body's homeostasis, they are all part of your proto-self. The second part is your core-self, the perceiving and receiving part of you. The things you see, the texture you touches, the color you perceive, they are all part of you core-self. The third part is your core consciousness, the interpreting and analyzing part of you. The things you associate the object with, the memories you recall from the object, they are all part of your core consciousness. The fourth, and last, part is your autobiographic self. The things you recall from memories in the mention of a word, the feeling you get from an object and what it reminds you of, they are all part of your autobiographic self.

Of course, things gets much more complicated under this scientist's philosophy, but this will suffice as the background information about the lady's special condition.

Yamazaki Yuri has received damage in her brain. She does not have a "normal" core-consciousness and autobiographic self. The inability for her to keep herself in a constant brain wavelength creates the phenomenon of which she adopts someone else's core-consciousness and autobiographic self unknowingly, and treat such core-consciousness and autobiographic self of that another person as her own.

The above statement means that Yuri has the ability to adjust her wavelength to that of identical as someone else. If she does, she thinks exactly what that certain person is thinking, only at a rate of a few seconds slower. At the same time, she does not realize that what she is thinking is not what "she" is thinking, but what someone else is thinking. She is unaware of the fact that she is "another person" as she thinks. Thus, her judgment, decisions and actions are also based upon the autobiographical self of that "another person" instead of her own.

For example, a character near Yuri decides to make a pasta dish. If Yuri's wavelength synchronized with his wavelength, she will also decides to make a pasta dish. She will also react correspondingly to the environment in the way that the character would. She will answer a person around her that she wants to make pasta, if someone else asks her what is she planning to do.

She also has the ability to transfer ideas through telepaths. She can translate the visual image that one person has within his mind into another person's mind through adjusting and translating the brain wavelengths within her mind. However, this power is left for further discovery and development.

Her ability is activated automatically, and she has no control over such power, except one method.

There are two ways that Yuri receives different brain wavelengths. She can tune herself to a new brain wavelength by the act of touching someone. She can also tune herself into another person's brain wavelength through touching something that they have touched within a time span of 3 minutes (2 posts). The reason for such is that the electromagnetic field for each person is different, and Yuri can dissect and calculate the wavelength frequency and amplitude merely by feeling the electromagnetic field that is left on an object by a certain person within a limited amount of time before the electromagnetic field on the object completely fades away. There is also a limit on how long she can maintain the wavelength of that person as her own. As of currently, she can only maintain concentration on one wavelength for 1.5 minutes (2 posts) after her contact separates from the person or the object.

The only way that Yuri can, and has learned to, "switch off" her power, is through the manipulation of the second way of tuning her brain wavelength. Through the constant muscular exercises on her palm, or the constant touching of her diary, Yuri is able to keep her brain focused on her own wavelength. Yuri can only be herself in this, and only this, method. This becomes her fatal weakness, as well.

If she has lost her concentration on any particular one brain wavelength, her consciousness will be invaded by several consciousness around her at the same time, even if it is not meant to be harmful. The last time such thing happen was the first time that she came into consciousness in the hospital. As a result, she received permanent damage to her brain - anterograde amnesia of 24 hours.

The way that Yuri's special power will be roleplayed out is as such: When Yuri's power is not focused on her own but on someone else, anything that the person sees, touches, hears, tastes, smells, feels, thinks, and recalls will be taken by Yuri as her own experience. She reacts accordingly to what is happening around her as that person, including speaking and acting. Any detail in general that the roleplayer has decided to put on his post will be interpreted as Yuri's own experience.

Equipment You Have:
- A diary and a 0.05 ink pen.
- Two metallic balls for muscle exercises

Personality Description:

- Don't trust anyone, including yourself.

Everyday, this is the first sentence that Yuri will look at in her diary. Everyday, the things happen around her and to her reaffirms this statement. Before she knew it, her body has already remembered the statement within itself. There was no need for her core-consciousness to recall such thing. The sentence was already "engraved" into her proto-self, if such thing was even possible.

This is the precise reason why Yuri will always look at the others with a pair of judging eyes. Her eyes are filled with doubt and denial, making those glances ones that pierces through your soul. Many of those who has ever talked to her before found out they could not even bear to look at her for more than 5 minutes without feeling creeped out and frightened, as they were afraid of being seen through.

Yuri doesn't say much. She doesn't find the need to speak, as she would forget about what she has said within 24 hours anyway. There is no purpose of things to exist if there will be no trace of such thing after it existed. It doesn't mean that she is mute. It only means that her words are harsher, more painful, and most of the time much more direct and to the point than many others around her. It doesn't matter to her as she forgets about it anyway.

Yuri is alone, and she is happy to be alone. She has seen the pain that her parents has gone through, and it hurts as much for her to see them going through it. Knowing that even those that she remembers is going through such immense pain, the girl sees no need of imposing that pain on someone else whom she's not going to remember anyway. She would try to remember a person if it is needed, but more often than not she doesn't give a damn about it. She has given too much attention to it to only realize afterwards in a hard way that she is only hurting herself with that effort.

This doesn't prevent Yuri from trying to have fun, however. She actually do not resist against the idea of enjoying herself, if she is given the chance to. She would only remember for 24 hours anyway. Why'd she want to go through a painful 24 hours instead of trying to enjoy herself to the fullest? Of course, Yuri's type of fun might be slightly more twisted or abnormal in the eyes of those around her, but she is still trying her best in her own way.

This is the Yuri you will see when she is concentrated on her own core-consciousness.

However, if Yuri is concentrated on someone else's core-consciousness, she will "become" that person. She will adapt that person's immediate feeling, senses and the memories that he recalls. She does not have the ability to read into someone else's memories, but she can recall the memories that the person is recalling currently as her own memories. Instead of distinguishing herself from that person's consciousness, she is made believe that she is that person himself. She will not know why she would think a certain way, because she does not have access to the memory that the person has, but she will think in the way that the person thinks nevertheless.

Personal History:
Yamazaki Yuri is completely normal before she has had the car accident when she was 15. She was born into a upper-middle class family as a single child. Her father is a well-known pediatric doctor, and her mother is a housewife that earned a lot of respect from the neighbors for her good virtue and loyalty to her family. Yuri herself is a energetic, intelligent girl who respect and love her parents very much. She helps her mother out on chores on a daily basis, and she asks her father about homework every night. They are the "perfect household" and the model family of the town.

Yet, life will never go the way that human wishes it to go.

Yamazaki Yuri got into a serious car accident when she was returning from school one day when she was 15 years old. Among all injuries, the worst was a hit to the back of the girl's head as she lands on the ground after being hit flying over 5 yards away by the truck. While thankfully the girl has lived through the major operations, something about her has changed dramatically.

The first sign that the doctors and the parents observes was the abnormality in the girl's inability to remember. While at first they believe that it would be temporary memory loss, they soon discover, in great grief, that the girl has suffered from anterograde amnesia. She can no longer remember anything for more than 24 hours, except for what has happened before the accident occurred, as well as memories that her body and muscle retains after continuous repeat of a specific action. The parents and doctors has nothing more left to do except for handing the girl a diary and tells her to write down everything she has been through each day. Yet, before the adults recovers from the shock of the first sign, the second sign starts to appear.

The second sign that the doctors and the parents discovers was that their thoughts were being read by the girl. More exactly, their thoughts were being viewed and borrowed by the girl as her own. As much as they wishes to omit the problem, they realizes that the stress the girl's brain is undergoing is too immense for the girl to bear. Therefore, after several experiments and investigations, the girl was given things to pick from to concentrate on her own thoughts and consciousness, namely a pair of palm sized muscle training balls, which she takes with her everywhere.

With her condition, Yuri can no longer go to school. Although she still functions as a normal human, she has no ability to obtain new knowledge, and school is proven to be too rigorous for her. She is still able to live as an individual, but she has no ability to live by herself and survive, as she has no knowledge of how to cash money, how to fill out reports and information forms, and anything that is more complicated than what a 15 years old girl can understand. The only good thing for the girl was that she would never remember how much grief her mother shows her or how painful she feels in her heart when she sees her parent's agony after the 24 hours limit passes. She is born anew as a new born baby at every minute of her life.

Yuri's routine, after she quitted school for one year, was the same for every single day. She would wake up, go for a walk in the morning upon the suggestion of her mother, read the diary as instructed by her mother, learn the facts about herself and her surrounding from her own handwriting in the diary, come back to have breakfast with her mother, help her mother out around the house, and sit to have lunch. After she helps her mother with the dishes, she would go out again and visit places, including the park, the museum, the zoo, and the arcades. She would do what she feels like doing that day - reading the diary, playing games, looking at artwork, and whatever passes the time - and she would go home at 6:30 p.m. as instructed by the diary. She would have dinner with her family, help out afterwards, and head back up into her room to write in her diary about the people she meets, the places she has been to, and anything important that she thinks might need addressing to the future "her". She would go to bed, and her day would starts again after she awakes. As much of a misery to the Yamazaki couple, they could not give Yuri a better life than such a robotic and routined life than this.

The Yamazaki couple has almost lost all hope in their daughter's recovery, until they heard of a place that they thought to only exist in fairy tale: a place where people with special ability exists. Holding onto he final hope that this place will lead them to the possible method to return their daughter to her original state, or even just to enable her to control her special condition of adapting other's experience and thoughts as her own, the Yamazaki family moved into this place, hoping the best will befall upon them.

Yet, they are completely unaware of the specific conditions of this land in their dreams - the darkness that looms around.

Mashed Potatoes? There is no spoon.
