She had been looking for him since she managed to escape, the mysterious Yun, Grand Master of the lost Black Lotus Martial Arts style which her father had told that those of the family ancestors who had faced it in battle once in China hundreds of years ago called it almost mythical. She wanted to learn this style, to perfect the "mythical" style that was Black Lotus which somehow had found itself in Hyakuji, Japan and because of that it was one of the reasons that she had left to go to Hyakuji from her home in Kitagunma, to be taken under his wing to learn the ways of the Black Lotus. Hearing about the lands of Shambala, their beauty and majesty, she pictured it as a perfect place for training her abilities and honing them to perfection. "There is someone REALLY strong atop the Mountain," the sealed demonic entity told the girl she inhabited mentally, "What? Could it be the person I am looking for, huh? the girl replied mentally. "Yeah, Yeah, Ada I can't believe your still on that...that fighting style probably isn't that great..." she added a little annoyed with a sigh. Ada paid no mind. Maybe she should have listened to her. This was many hours ago, until she did finally reach the top, no small feat for a woman in heels and a silk form fitting red dress. She had done tougher things but things would get even more so as she got to hear an older looking man starting a speech his hearing his words, she thought of her own ambition. She was nearby the cave and suddenly she felt the an excruciating pain all across her body even rearranging the flow of her Ki. She could not feel it as clearly as she did seconds prior to that moment. She could not help but fall to the ground as Lilith laughed ”You weakling” she proclaimed teasingly as Ada grew fiercely defiant to try and walk towards the cave to regain her strength, not wanting to rely on Lilith as the rocks and then boulders rolled down to fall upon them. ”Do you want my help,” Lilith asked her seriously now knowing that Ada was a bit in danger but she was more resilient then that she hoped. ”NO!” Ada declared to her demonic counterpart, using her agility to dodge the rocks by sheer luck. But the real challenge came after they were all swallowed by the grounds falling down at alarming speeds with boulders and trees falling towards them. ”HAHAHAHA This is what you call training?! I call this killing yourself. Living from this is impossible, use my powers. ” Lilith declared laughing with her mental grin. When the man who had been speaking before spoke from riding upon a boulder.
What he is saying, live through believing anything was possible. She began to remember a saying her mother once told her teaching her how to use Ki/Qi, “Every man takes the limits of his own vision for the limits of the world.”, ”ADRIANNA, YOU CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT ME! NOW LET ME TAKE OVER!” Lilith yelled out mentally, Adrianna had to find out what she was gonna do? Anything was possible? “I Reject…I Reject…I Reject” She kept whispering trying to tune out Lilith by rejecting her as the voice of reason trying to win…Her only idea, would be to float…She put all her power, willpower and faith into maybe floating, flying, levitating SOMETHING TO PROVE LILITH WRONG!! SHE NEEDED TO LIVE JESUS CHRIST AND LILITH NEEDED TO BE PROVEN WRONG!!! >.< Edited by Zero, Oct 10 2009, 07:25 AM.

It happened so quickly she barely had time to blink. One second she was crawling towards the cave, barely aware of anything else that was going on around her, and the next the earth was slipping from beneath her fingers and she was falling backwards in a wave of rock and debris. On the outside, she fell perfectly still with her eyes and mouth wide open, on the inside she was thrashing and screaming. The wind whipped past her, its howl taking away almost all other sound as she fell down, her sight completely taken up by the boulders and rock that were heading towards her. Her eyes widened in fear. She saw Yun in her peripheral vision, coming over to them and telling them that they had to stop using their logical mind. Chizu wanted to scream at him. As it was, she wasn't the most logical, and she knew that there wasn't much she could do in this situation. Freefall alone, she could handle! If it wasn't for the boulders, trees, and just about everything else, she knew she could at least prevent herself from going splat on the ground! But even if death by falling wasn't an option, she still had a pretty good chance of getting crushed, impaled, mauled, and other messy ways to die. And she was pretty sure the power of imagination wasn't going to help her this time! She tried to thrash around again, and managed some movement this time. Chizu! Focus! Aether's voice rang clarion clear through her mind and Chizu immediately stilled. When he issued orders that sharply, even she knew that it was in her best interest to follow. She forced herself to straighten out and take a deep breath. Well, if she was going to go down anyway, she might as well go down fighting. She closed her eyes and felt for the wind currents around her. Chizu's breathing grew slow and even as her concentration turned completely to the wind. Slowly, painstakingly, she turned each current until they had formed a barrier around her, wrapping her in a cocoon of air that she hoped would deflect at least some debris and slow her fall. She gave up her focus entirely to the wind, throwing her head back slightly and keeping her eyes closed as she focused on the intricate weaving of currents that she hoped would protect her from certain death. Hoped being the key word here. |

"...Breaking limits...doing the impossible?" Kouta mused as he fell, his fists clenching as a rather...crazy smile formed on his face. If there was one thing Kouta was good at...it was ignoring all logic and do whatever his gut told him to do, no matter how impossible it was. At the rate they were going, he had about a one percent chance of survival. With courage, however, Kouta knew he could turn that one percent into one hundred. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TALKING TO!? Kouta roared out as he adjusted himself midair. He only had one chance at this, and he wasn't going to die so easily. So what if Miyuki had told him to stop being so reckless. The situation demanded it. "I...CAN...FLYYYYYYYYYYYYY!" he yelled out in his terrible English, before quite literally landing on a boulder feet first, adjusting his stance... And beginning to surf his way down riding the giant rock. |

Tch... It was only natural it would get harder she supposed. 2.5 Seconds to proccess information, and deal with it, or die. ... Improvise, adapt, overcome. Or die. ... Break limits. Anything is possible. There is a solution to this problem. Find it. ... 2.4 Seconds She wasn't actually sure if this would work, but there was nothing to be lost at this point. It was simply to act on instinct or die. If there is insufficient power for something to be accomplished directly then it can be accomplished some other way. If you don't have enough power, borrow it. Anything accomplished can be accomplished again. ... 2.0 Seconds She'd long since kept the buckle. What was in her hands now was a crimson device. Her Rouzer. Drawing ability from something that had it instead. Though meant to be used in conjunction with the buckle, in theory it should still function by itself. ... 1.9 Seconds She wasn't even sure this would work, but it was sound. The human body was not built to do such things, but then that was a long distant worry that no longer held any relevance in her mind as she forced the rouzer to activate. Still. It was a long shot. But... "Bun no warui kake wa kirai ja nai...!"* [DROP] [SCOPE] [AP:3300] Time seemed to slow for her, both from the shock of using the system as a normal human, and the sudden temporary boost in sensory perception. If it has been accomplished, it can be accomplished again, and with the temporary boost to leg power, she kicked the ground as hard as she could to launch herself into the air, before landing squarely on the same rock that Kouta had been using. "You really are troublesome to be around..." she muttered quietly to herself as she tried to maintain balance. *"I don't mind betting on tough odds! |

Spirit of Hyakuji

Looking up, Dare saw the entirety of the mountain coming down upon him once again. Deciding not to waste his time with a half-hearted curse, he let go of the roots and continued to fall as the wave of boulders, trees, and rubble consumed him. Seemingly buried beneath the chaos that was the mountain side, a large hand broke free from the dirt and grabbed one of the trees that had been destroyed by the boulders. Gripping the tree tightly, his hand broke through the bark, his finger tips digging completely into the tree as Dare pulled himself up. Bringing his other arm up, Dare kicked upward and jumped atop the log, displaying an unbelievable amount of balance as the tree suddenly began to sink. No doubt his heaviness was beginning to take it's toll on the tree, no matter, he'd just have to keep moving. Running along the tree, Dare hopped off and onto a boulder, causing it to also dip somewhat due to his colossal weight before jumping to another and so on. He knew perfectly well he couldn't keep this up forever, but he'd wait until he found a safe spot to hop off, which would hopefully be soon. |

"Yosh!" Yun's voice rang on everyone's ears at once, greatly overpowering every other sound. The loud rumble of the enormous landslide was dimmed to the point it completely disappeared. "Welcome everyone, to a new session of the Martial Arts Club! I've never really liked that name and isn't really as suitable since we are not really linked to any school right now, but it will do for now!" Yun still sat on the ground, his legs crossed into a full lotus position before the youngsters, who still stood before him exactly as they did before the whole earthquake began... well, sort of. Kouta and Miyuki both stood atop a large rock as did Dare. Mon stood next to one as well, seemingly trying to hold on to it. while Ada, Nickle and Chizu still stood right where they were before, a large rock placed a mere five feet in front of each of them. "My name is Grand Master Yun, Keeper of the Secrets of the Universe, Mighty Lord of Darkness and Light, He Whose Power is Unmatched, Magnificent Holy Warrior and Possessor of The Greatest Power in Heaven and Earth. But let us not be formal, simply call me Yun-sensei." The man smiled sweetly, his eyes still closed, as a mountain of a man brought him a cup of tea. As they all came to their senses and realized the mountain was still there and there really was no danger after all, they also realized they were able to move freely. The man took a sip, then spat the liquid and started fanning his mouth frantically. "Aaarrrggh! Too hot!!" Another man came quickly and touched the cup with his fingertip, then left. Yun took another sip, then smiled. "Perfrect!" There were others with them, roughly a dozen other people, all clad in black. At Yun's right sat the huge man, who looked like he'd just won the prize for 'most-ripped, nearly-inhuman bodybuilder in the world, to his left sat an old-looking man with long hair. "Anyways! Thank you for showing up so promptly, I'm glad you could make it! Would you kids like some tea before we serve the stew? It's really god for digestion if you drink it before and after every meal and well... any time of the day, actually!" Edited by Eiji, Oct 9 2009, 07:17 PM.

Look at his little dance
|
"Huh..." Mon was confused. Well, it was okay to be confused. He was confused most of the time. He tapped the rock that hadn't crushed him as he let go and fell back into his normal half-assed sitting position and glanced at the puke next to him. He wasn't at all surprised he'd really puked but... "Was that all some sort of illusion?" he asked somewhat annoyed. He'd thought of Yun as the same sort of man as his mentor at first. He was now seeing that he was different. Well it wasn't that he was pathetic or anything he was just strong enough that he didn't have to act tough. He considered and said, "I'll take some tea." Yun probably wouldn't poison them or anything. He didn't really seem the sort after all. "So, we're the Martial Arts Club?" asked Mon. He was having a slightly hard time getting the whole situation worked out. |

Nickle suddenly opened his eyes. What in blue blazes... Everything, was still there. He was standing. More to the point everyone was. Nickle looked at the rockface before him. Was all that some kind of illusionary technique? Nickle looked at the others. They were all safe as well. But what was with the rocks? Stepping forward after Yun's tea-scalding introduction, Nickle shook his head in disbelief. "Unbelievable." Nickle regarded the man. He had never seen anyone with such power, not even in his experiences with Hiro had he seen something like this done. Even with Lillian, he would still know he was in an illusion. But tihs man had had him completely fooled. Nickle looked at the men clad in black. Where had they come from? Was this the reason he had sensed such a large energy before? He couldn't understand it, his world had just been thrown back and forth. However, the only thing that seemed to make sense was that tea and Nickle was partial to tea. "I'll have some of that tea, please." he said regarding Yun. Martial Arts Club...meaning he'd be willing to train those present. Even though Nickle had arrived here on a whim, with this oppurtuniy, he wouldn't pass it up. |

"You always have the choice to leave me alone." Kouta mused with a shrug, catching the small comment as everything just came to a close. They weren't falling to their doom anymore and he began to relax...but part of him was still shaking with excitement. He really did have no fear, and it was an exhilarating experience. "So...what's this about 'Don't be hot-blooded and reckless?'" Kouta spoke as he turned around and just...gave Miyuki this teasing grin, before hopping off his makeshift surfboard. "I'd love some tea dude! Throat's parched from all that yelling I had to do!" he stated simply enough as he looked back up at Miyuki for a bit, she really was full of surprises. |

"Ah, vey well! Dozo, Dozo!" A man and a woman brought tea cups for those who asked for it. It was a rather fragrant jasmine tea. Then the man Stood to address them. "I must congratulate you all for not losing your head! Cheers!" He raised his cup and drank. Those who looked carefully would notice it was no longer a teacup he was holding, but sake. "Regradless of the outcome you have all proven to possess a very strong mind and willpower too! Oh and you are all very brave, cheers! Yun happily took another sip. "I have seen people been put through half the stress level you all just went through and collapse in fear or hopelessness. There were however, those who did exceedingly well..." Yun pointed at Mon. "Big man whom I've never seen before! You had the courage to act and give your all... you almost made it, but your confidence wavered at the very last second and thus you lost it." Then he pointed to Dare. "Man with the funny hat! You almost gave up... but like the phoenix, you raised from the ashes with burning fire... but you had no aim, no direction... simply wandered aimlessly. Had the landslide last any longer there's a big chance you would have eventually failed." Next he pointed to Miyuki. "Ah, serious lady with the busy head! You certainly do think on your toes and that's good. You made it safely because your analytical mind was thrown off by your friend's actions and thus the rarely-used intuition was encouraged! Well done, but had you been alone, who knows what the outcome would be!" Finally he pointed at Kouta. "And Kouta-kun! You. You my dear boy, are a real prodigy! You HAVE to tell me who you've trained with in the past! You sure are promising, son! I have no doubt in my mind that you will someday become a true master!" Yun gave a thumbs up and came close to pat the man's shoulder. Then he turned to the others. "The rest of you did very well too, but were just a bit too short... you need to work on your willpower and most of all, believing in yourselves! Nickle-kun sadly didn't even come close, he still tried to think logically. The scary lady over there really tried hard and for a moment there I thought that she'd make it... but unfortunately she didn't even know what she wanted to do. Finally the young elemancer... she relied on the wind's power, not her own will and spirit... the exact same way Nickle-kun did. But that's a ver common occurrence among elemancers... they are too fixed on using their powers for everything, clinging to it as their only strength. They must learn to let go of them in order to overcome their inner obstacles." Yun paused for a moment, the sweet smile never leaving his face. If any of them looked around they would notice how several of the people dressed in black looked down with a sweat drop on their heads as he spoke about the elemancers. "No worries though, I have trained many of your kind and many other different kinds as well, and they ended up becoming some of the best I have ever seen! Anyways, is the stew ready yet? Bring it out, we're all starving!" Two men rushed inside the cave to bring out the huge, burning-hot pot of boiling stew... with their bare hands! Then placed it in the middle while a girl went around giving out bowls and spoons to everybody. "Alright everyone! Itadakimasu!" If Miyuki looked for her bike, she would find it had become a big pile of junk with a note on top of it which read: "Got trashed by all the falling rocks", while somewhere one of the men clad in black whistled a happy tune innocently as he hid a baseball bat behind his back. Miyuki shook her head at the absurdity of it all. Martial arts was never something she cared for, and it wasn't going to start now. She was built purely for combative systems, not martial arts. The difference therein was that a combative system was nothing more an efficient way to destroy an enemy, no more, no less. It never pretended to be anything else, which she often detested many eastern arts for. "I'll deal with the bike. Hopefully something still works after this man's fanatics trashed it.. Return when you're done with your business here." she told Kouta coldly, and walked out. She wanted nothing to do with it. Though the Rhombus was damaged, upon further examination, the damage was mostly to the bike exterior and external parts. Well the external storage units are no big loss, the internal rouzer and dimensional transfer unit still seem to be functional. Engine is intact... fuel line is damaged but repairable. Self-sealing fuel tank held. Repairable with field tools. Tool box is dented but it's repairable. More extensive repairs will be needed later. She shook her head, the pretentiousness of the old man was astounding, as was the audacity of his followers. She'd had a rich combat history of sorts, and anyone with experience easily tells the difference between the blunt force trauma from uneven rocks and boulders and by a lengthened object intended for striking such as a bat or staff. As far as she was concerned, only her obligation to Kouta kept her here. She broke out the dented toolbox from a storage bag, the first aid kit, and began to patch the fuel line. |

Yun would receive a thumbs up in return from Kouta, it was almost an instant reaction for the blue haired male at this point. "I've only trained myself...though I did have a mentor who taught me a lot..." Kouta seemed to tense up for the first time in the meeting. "But...he's lost to the darkness, and I need to save him." his fists clenched for a moment, determined to get stronger for Roa's sake. "And...as much as I enjoy the praise, I don't think I'm worthy." Kouta spoke up. Prodigy was taking it a little too far, really. He just did what he could and in the only way he knew how, and yet not everything turned out the way he wanted, losing his partner was proof of such. He liked Yun, for sure and was no doubt a powerful man in his own right, but somehow...something told him this wasn't his place. Maybe he really did miss Roa and his sermons, and it would feel odd to have a mentor that actually agreed with a lot of his choices. "Don't take this the wrong way and all, I enjoyed today and I am interested in your teachings but..." Kouta mused, still addressing Yun. "I think it's just not suited to me...and I kinda don't want to turn my back on what he taught me. Besides, I got this far myself, so I think I'll be fine. And it's clear the people here need you more than I do." With another thumbs up, followed by a respectful bow he'd take his leave, following after Miyuki. He had no ill will towards Yun, and it was clear. Right now, he just needed to think about it. ...And so when he reached the gray haired woman and her bike Kouta would make a simple offer. "It's partly my fault for your bike being in that condition due to dragging you here, so what do you need help with and I'll do what I can in fixing it." |

Nickle's eyes became slightly narrower when Yun commented on him thinking the way he did. Releasing of spirit? Not rely on his element? Nickle hated to admit it, but he was right. Despite his attempt at relying on his mediocre sword and martial art skills he had learnt from the Rei monks, his training their had been too focussed on his element. Nickle took his tea and sipped it, contemplating his training now. All the meditation he had done, had not been a force of willpower. In all honesty all it had focussed on was releasing his body structure and breaking it down to its finite energies. Nickle had needed to focus on his body and his surroundings, ensuring he did not lose himself. The problem presented to him with Yun, is that in that illusion, he was already lost and he had no idea how to handle it. It was humbling, truely. He may have faced so much in the past, but when presented with this, he was a novice. Magic and elements, those were on a whole other level to martial arts. As Nickle watched the men bring pots with their bare hands, not even flinching, he looked at his arms and hands covered in gloves and wrappings. His body was muscular, but was his mind able to block out pain in such a way? Nickle then looked up at Yun, having placed his tea down beside him where his bowl of stew was. "Yun-sama," he wasn't going to call him teacher just yet, but it was still only right to address him formerly, "What exactly do you intend to teach us? Surely there has to be a base method to your training that doesn't involve such illusions." Nickle's eyes were still slightly narrowed, but only because an old fire inside of him had been re-ignited again. The past while he had become lazy, sitting around the arcade and not focussing on his training. That needed to change. |

It was rather interesting, an illusion. Ada had looked at the rock and knew that unlike the others who were upon the rocks, those were the ones who accomplished something. Maybe it was the intense rapid barrage of new surprises, it got her off her game. She had heard it was possible to use their own ki to levitate, but it was the rush of everything? The sudden loss of thinking time, but all in all Lilith was right. But that was more motivation for her to continue her studies with the man, as time went by she would probably learn how her body and mind can become more in tune with Lilith thus Lilith could use more of her power or Ada could even just inherit it herself but first she needed to improve herself in the aspects of body and mind to not have to rely on Lily to survive and be able to defeat enemies, she wanted to learn Black Lotus. "An illusion, wow...Well, you did horrible for that last hesitation of being indecisive, Giving us women a bad name!" Lilith whispered as Ada felt annoyed as the gloating began. But Ada graciously took her tea sipped it feeling at home instantly for it was something she loved to have on Kitagunma, Mount Iccarus caused her to remember her own Mount Haruna. Drinking it down as he spoke, he called her the scary lady...Her eyes narrowed at him..."HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...*takes a breath...* wait.....HAHAHAHAHAHA, He just nicknamed you that scary lady who chokes at the last second," Lilith cried out in sheer pain at how hilarious she found it. "Lilith...you have three seconds to shut your mouth, you sadistically sl***y cow." Ada whispered mentally menacingly, "WHAT, YOU UGLY STUPID B****, HOW DARE YOU!" Lilith cried out in anger, but Ada won. Instantly over Lilith's mouth was some mental duct tape which shut her up...Although her hand gestures were not very nice after that. Ada took her stew with a nod and a smile, "Thank you Yun-sensei, my name is Ada Wong by the way," she stated with a smile as she began to contemplate, these guys to his side were all his Black Lotus students? So this must be the group she must join, she innocently peered at them sizing them up wondering if they looked like they had amazing abilities...She would ask him, after he was finished with his stew, perhaps how she could go about becoming such a student. He proved powerful enough to create a massive and realistic illusion on such a big scale without seeming to even be trying. Black Lotus, was proven to her. Edited by Zero, Oct 10 2009, 08:02 AM.

"Thanks." said Mon as he took his tea. He listened to the man as he spoke of him. He had wavered he supposed. Well, I don't like magic and things of that sort anyways... He was just making an excuse. He'd used a gun at one point. It wasn't like he was doing what he was supposed to in the first place. The tea did settle nicely in his stomach. "Better not to lie to myself." he said quietly. He was quiet as Yun spoke to everyone else. There was no need to be an annoyance after all. He was glad he'd come here. He had never really learned to fight after all. He'd just... fought. This was different. He watched as the men brought out the Stew. That's better. That was how he expected people to behave. He thanked the girl as he was given a bowl and spoon. "Well..." He stood up and stumbled over to the boiling stew. He was happy to go over to food but when he looked at it he was less than sure about eating boiling stew. |
