It was time.

After months of careful preparation, the place was finally ready.

It was right before the last battle against Creed... right before everyone thought Hyakuji and the world were finally safe, that Master Yun had disappeared, leaving them all to fight on their own. He had trained Eiji well, as much as he could allow himself to for the occasion without unleashing to much of his power just yet. Had he done that, the outcome would have been disastrous... even more so than it'd been so far.

He knew this would happen... he'd known all along; but he had to choose between fighting either an immediate danger and a much greater one which would take place months later. Hyakuji was safe then... but now it was lost.

The darkness had been unleashed long before he'd foresee it. Eiji... Wo Shing... Lillian... they all thought they were players, but they were all nothing but pawns. Even Hiro was unable to do anything, so why would Yun stay and waste whatever little time he had in his hands trying to stop the unstoppable?

He was old... much more so than most humans on earth, and with age came wisdom. Such wisdom drove him here the moment he saw the then-invisible gap between the worlds. He knew this would be the one place suitable for what was to come. The one place where he could actually gather his strength and prepare to act.

Lots was needed, and it would take time. But now it was finally ready: A massive, fortress-like cave on the east side of Mount Icarus, a mountain larger than Mount Fuji itself, much wider, taller and most important: 'cleaner'. It was like a massive powerhouse of positive energy, and his new home.

Inside the cave was everything he needed: room, fresh air, food, weapons and most important: training grounds. The entrance was protected by a powerful Ether Field, created by Magiscience. An ether condenser- acombination of steam engine technology which had been developed beyond anything his home world had ever seen- and ether-filled crystals, all put together by a powerful spell, were responsible for making the cave an impenetrable fortress of sorts... without looking like one. It took Yun a long time to find and get such a device, as even in the large floating island of Gaea, it was extremely rare. Zakythos, home of wizards had a few and Deist, home to Shambala's primitive technology had quite a bunch of them locked away, it was there he got it from. He had to steal it, yes... but it was for a great cause, and provided it didn't break by the time it was all over, he'd make it a point to return it to its owners.

Now it was finally time, and all he needed was his people. As he sat right outside of the cave in deep meditation, Yun knew all Black Lotus members, no matter where they were, would eventually hear the call in their own daily meditation and come find him. Apart from those, there were his Martial Arts Club students and every person he considered worthwhile. Those wouldn't get the message that quickly, clearly or easily as his Black Lotus disciples, but he hoped that eventually some of them would follow their instincts and even if not exactly sure why, would one day wind up here. Those gifted with acute senses or psychic powers though, would definitely recognize his mental signature and would have an easier time find their way to Shambala... and its many wonders.

It felt as if she had been walking all day, but the mountain still loomed on above her, an endless expanse that seemed to shoot up towards the sky. Its crags and points sheared the wind that came down hard on her, blowing her white har back and working it into knots and tangles. Chizu pressed forward seemingly unhindered, and didn't do anything to stop the wind. Why would she, when it's free flight felt so good to her attuned senses? She walked close to the side of the mountain, ignoring the drop just a few inches from her left foot. Getting down wasn't the problem. Getting up would be the difficult part.

You still haven't told me why we're here... commented Aether as Chizu raised a hand and reluctantly batted away one potentially dangerous gust. The blast of air adjusted itself at her command, ricocheting off the sudden roadblock she had constructed for it and heading towards the ground below. Chizu frowned in thought as she negotiated a tricky step.

I don't know... she replied after a while. I had a feeling...

I see... said Aether. To her surprise, the wind elemental didn't comment further. Chizu frowned, remembering the numerous lectures she had gotten from him for being overly reckless. It was odd that he wouldn't say anything now, considering she had practically walked out on Kuro, asked him to shepherd her over the expanse between worlds, and was currently climbing what had to be the largest mountain she had ever seen over a feeling.

You don't have a problem with that? she asked.

Why should I? asked Aether. The wind blows where it will. It's a trait that most aeromancers are fated to share.

Chizu frowned as the trail in front of her ended, bending her knees slightly as she gathered wind and pushed it beneath her feet. She jumped from it and used it as a springboard, and landed on a precarious foothold on the mountain side. Chizu didn't stop there but jumped again, and after three jumps finally made it onto a ledge. She frowned, the wind she still had with her dispersing as she looked around.

A man sat outside what looked like a cave, looking as if he hadn't even noticed her arrival. Chizu frowned, wondering if this was the "feeling" she had gotten or if Aether was wrong and she really was insane. She looked out over the huge expanse of mountain and scenery she had just climbed, before turning towards the man.

In a rare moment of politeness, she supposed "Hey, do you know why I'm here?" might not be the best thing to say. Not being able to think of anything else, she sat down and waited to be acknowledged.

Mon Iker was slightly upset about the way his training was going today. Normally he'd have found an avalanche, or at least some bears to wrestle. Today he felt rather drawn to a mountain. Just climbing a mountain was hardly the sort of training he'd planned but it had been a while since he last did this sort of thing. At least that had been his mental path when he started. He soon found this wasn't some average mountain. It was massive.

He gritted his teeth and stopped climbing for a moment. He felt slightly off balance... I should get to some sort of ridge... Just something large enough to sit down for a bit. His illness was just catching up to him today... He probably had a fever... "Damn..."

He soon pulled himself up alongside the women and found himself looking straight at Yun... He loudly asked "Joe?" Mighty men who lived on mountains always made him think of his master, Woodcutter Joe. His mind quickly realized this wasn't him but that didn't really matter. He shook his head slightly before pulling himself into a loose sitting position. Not moving was nice though the climb had made him feel even more woozy.

"You really need your bike prepared soon so I won't have to do this." Miyuki groused, slowing down as she neared the top of the mountain.

Her Bike wasn't entirely suited for climbing mountains, but she'd had enough experience with it that it wasn't particularly troublesome either. The more annoying bit was being detached from her usual duties to transport Kouta here. She couldn't really refuse either, the request coming directly from the Chief. Thus, another day, another assignment, and she'd carry it out as she always had. Faithfully, and with as least waste as possible.

Finally, the bike stopped close to the top of the mountain, close to what appeared to be a gathering of sorts.

"Here we are." she said, removing her helmet.

"I'm not complaining, sides it's more fun to travel this way~" Kouta mused in the usual, cheerful tone he had. "I could have just borrowed a temporary bike for something like this. If you dislike having to deal with me that much you could have declined." he added as he removed his arms from around her waist and hopping off the bike. He had been sitting behind her on the bike the entire trip due to this setup, really.

"But man, who would have thought that guy's still around..." Kouta mused. Being a former member of the Martial Arts Club, he was no stranger to things like this, the call was just that powerful. "Looks like my Awesome Sense still works, which is good." he continued as he pulled off the helmet he was loaned. "I take it you're just gonna wait for me...?" he asked the woman as he approached the cave entrance, and by extension, Yun.

The large mountain was truly a part of nature, the trees and slopes preventing those who weren't truly determined to stop from getting atop of it. The lack of people and technology was something one could find on a regular basis, except for today. Walking alongside the dirt roads, a huge figured moved slowly upward with no real destination in mind.

He'd figured the mountain to be a peaceful place where he could think and gain a little peace for the night, until he'd heard the sound of voices far away. He shook his head slightly, a small smile touching his lips. It would figure that the one time he choose to come someplace quiet, others would already be gathering. Grabbing his bag, and his dark cowboy hat, he swung the heavy bag over his shoulders and pulled the hat low over his eyes, deciding to take his leave.

Yet as he moved away, curiosity touched the back of his mind. Just exactly what were they doing here? It didn't sound like a festival. Perhaps they were searching for something? Rather then simply listening in on the conversation, the large man turned around again and began moving toward the source of the voices. His brown boots crushing the grass, untouched for years, as he rolled up the sleeves up on his white long-sleeved t-shirt, not wishing to appear too 'rough'.

Nearing another clearing, Dare stopped behind the dense bush, not wanting to frighten anyone, he called to the voices, "Hello?"

As everyone arrived Yun began to rise, his eyes still closed.

His direct disciples, members of the Black Lotus had already appeared... though as usual they were nowhere to be seen or sensed by those who could, as Yun's powerful aura cloaked theirs, for its power was such that it flared like a giant lighthouse which could be sensed in all other colliding worlds by those perceptive enough to be guided here; and even though it was invisible it caused the blades of grass and tree leaves around the whole area to move as if by a strong breeze.

The tall, white-haired man stepped forward, nodding in acknowledgment of those present, then suddenly pointed at Kouta.

"There is no time for waiting!"

The man's usual sweet and kind voice was loud and passionate this time.

"Can you all not see how our divided universe falls apart, its pieces colliding and crashing onto one another while our fellow beings fall prey to their own dark desires?"

The man moved dramatically as he spoke, and with every step forward they would all feel the force of his aura pushing against them.

"Within days, all that we all know and cherish will perish! You have all been chosen to stop this catastrophe... all those who answered the call and are here today, whether you believe it or not!"

"But still, to achieve such a feat, mere courage is not enough!"

He turned to Miyuki.

"Nor is it knowledge and skill"

Then turned to Chizu, then Mon, Dare and the others.

"Nor brute force, pure goodness at heart, good intentions or ambition! To claim the greatest of powers a person, human or otherwise possesses, one must reach into the hidden depths of one's soul and consciousness!"

The man suddenly stepped backwards and raised both his hands putting them forward, fingers wide open. From each fingertip shot a dozen, invisible, needle-like beams of ki, which hit each and every one of them on key pressure points in their bodies. Each needle was long and would go across but would stay fixed in its position, affecting both their physique and the flow of their ki. The result? They would all feel much weaker and stiff, so much that even taking a single step forward would take all their might and effort. Even the android would find that the needles affected him as well somehow.

"And for that, sometimes the best tool is... FEAR!"

The man grinned deviously as he said the last sentence... then relaxed and turn his back on them as he walked back towards the cave.

"Oh yes, nice to meet you all, and hello to those I already know. If you want your strength back all you need to do is come inside the cave! There is a nice bowl of hot stew waiting for all of you! I have some rice crackers too!"

Those who knew Yun knew it couldn't possibly be as easy as it sounded. The cave's entrance was merely a few feet away, so even if it was hard to do, a few dozen steps would do it... or would they?

Once inside the cave, Yun took a large, decorated fan and waved at them.

"Good luuuck~ Don't strain yourselves too much~"

Then the ground began to shake horribly... and rocks... then giant boulders started tumbling down the side of the mountain , right from above the cave towards them as the earth beneath their feet cracked.

Brute force and pureness of heart were apparently not enough. Those were pretty much all he had... The moment his power was cut off he felt great. Without his body straining his health he was much better. But this sensation lasted only an instant before his body couldn't support his health. His Ki, which he'd never noticed before or even now for that matter, swelled up trying to circle around then collapsed back, apparently giving up.

He'd never felt so weak in his entire life. Not even when he'd been sick in his bed as a child, nearly unable to move. His vision blurred. It was a good thing he'd more or less already collapsed onto the ground or he'd have done so now.

He gripped the ground with his hand. The gauntlet felt so heavy. "I'll be right there." This was just another impossible task he'd been given... Very different from the ones he'd been subjected to in the past but still just a task he had to do. Woodcutter Joe always said the more impossible the task the more it would do for you. Climbing this mountain had been far more than fighting an avalanche then.

He pulled himself into a crawl. His arms could barely even pull him. That was okay though. He just had to keep going forward. He'd already been exhausted when he got here. He felt his stomach welling up from his throat and swallowed it back down. Cutting off his physical strength had compounded his illness.

That all happened in the instant before the rocks started coming down. His teeth gritted. He pulled himself back into standing. He had no choice. Standing and facing a boulder was nothing. Joe would never forgive him if he just sat there and got crushed. Like Joe's still around... It was his fault his world was gone. He forced his feet into a stance and pulled back his fist. His strength wouldn't leave him... He just had to punch right through it. He slammed his fist into the boulder with every ounce of strength he could muster...

And was slammed back to the ground. "Damn..." His strength really had left him. He hadn't been prepared to accept it and had wasted the small amount of power he had left... NO! He refused to accept that. Even if his power was gone he just had to break through whatever was blocking him on the inside... He wasn't crushed. It hadn't occurred to him until then. All of his strength had managed to push the rock aside onto a slightly different course. He hadn't blocked it, but he had avoided it. Even if he had had enough for that he was done now. Mon smiled to himself and didn't opt to move. He focused on himself.

He forced his head to the side and puked. He couldn't go off drowning on his own vomit. That just wasn't any way to go out. He was a man who would try to fight the strongest monster but wouldn't crush a fly. Well, not unless the fly was actually doing something to him rather than just buzzing around annoyingly...

"Ha ha ha..." He laughed. He wouldn't lose to this. He wouldn't let his body quit no matter how much it hurt. He tried to rise back to his feet.

When the man raised his hands towards them, Chizu felt as if every ounce of her strength had been drained away. She immediately slumped forward, struggling to stay upright under her own weight. Brute strength, the physical kind anyway, had never been her forte, although she was physically stronger than the average couch potato. She had always sought her advantage through speed.

But speed and agility would be of no use if she couldn't even move. She placed her hands on her knees and fought against the sudden urge to lie down on the ground and just stay there until it was all over. Her eyes narrowed as she took in a quick breath, her fingers slowly clenching into a fist. She would not give up. No matter how much her body wanted it. Walk to the cave, huh? She could do that. She would.

Chizu...

She didn't need Aether's warning, the tremor beneath her feet had already drawn her attention to it. Her eyes drifted upwards, her body too taxed to even allow her head to tilt up. Boulders were coming down towards them. Great, just great. Of course it wouldn't be too easy. Mentally, Chizu felt around. Her aeromancy, at the very least seemed to be working, although the strain of finding an air current and holding onto it taxed her as much as physical movement. She looked up, staring at the boulder that was heading towards her, the boulder that spelled certain death, and worse than that, failure.

The wind gathering at her back slammed her forward, the impact enough to take the wind from her. It had been weak, in her prime a blast that had taken that much effort would have been enough to throw her inside the cave. This one simply moved her out of the boulder's trajectory, and onto her face on the ground. She sucked in a breath of air and fought back against the simple agony of movement, beads of sweat forming on her forehead and traveling down her cheeks.

Her teeth clenched together in determination as she dug into the ground and pulled herself forward, slowly inching towards the cave's mouth. The air whizzed overhead, another boulder was coming. Painstakingly, she pushed off with her hand, the momentum causing her to roll dangerously close to the growing crack. Things like that didn't matter though. As she stopped herself, she knew that the only thing she had to do was keep moving forward. No matter what. Either way, it would be over soon.

Her fingers scraped against rock and grit as she pulled herself towards the cave, blood from the nicks and scratches on her fingers making her handholds slippery. Sweat poured down her face, and from the effort, her eyes misted over with tears. She couldn't stop though.

The man had said it himself. Courage wasn't the answer. Neither was skill, or brains, or brute strength, or a good heart or good intentions or ambition. But he hadn't mentioned sheer force of will, and she had that in droves.

"Are you kidding?" she rolled her eyes at Kouta's question as she walked with him towards the others "I'm supposed to keep you out of trouble."

Yun suddenly addressing her of all people came as a surprise. The woman should have recognised what he was doing, but somehow didn't, as the old man's fingertips pointed towards them, her consciousness finally forced it's way through, knowing what was about to happen.

Just a moment too late.

By the time she realised what it was, her body was already struck by multiple needles. The effect on her body caused her to drop to a knee before her mind could her body to force itself to remain standing.

tch.... troublesome.

If she had been in the prime of her abilities, this would have meant nothing. As a magecraft user, it was a simple matter to channel prana through the body. The ki needles were foreign bodies of magecraft. Even if it was through eastern mysticism rather than the standard western systems she was accustomed to facing, the underlying principles were the same. The objects would be considered as a 'poison' and rejected from the system, promptly expelled.

Unfortunately, her abilities in magic were long sealed after overuse had nearly caused fatal results from body degeneration, but even then with time, she'd still find a way to deal with this. Unfortunately, time was not something available she noted, as boulders began to descend towards them and the ground beneath them became unstable.

Whether she liked it or not, she was now part of this ridiculous test, and all she had to deal with it was whatever wits she could muster to deal with it. It was true in a way, sometimes, knowledge and skill wouldn't get you out of a situation if it was pretty damned bad. The whole point was to avoid getting into such a situation to begin with afterall.

But she did have another quality. She was stubborn enough to put a mule to shame. It wasn't always a good thing, but there were times it did serve her well. A stubborn inability to simply lie down and the experience to somehow take a 1% chance and maximise it.

...

General motor functions and fine muscle control are impaired. Stiffness is an issue, but minor compared to degradation in ability to exert force, she thought to herself. However, the impairment wasn't quite complete. Standing and taking steps would be difficult but...

The woman shifted her weight forward and used what remaining muscle power she had to launch herself forward into a roll before her feet again touched the ground while behind her, the spot she where was standing began to break up.

Good, that's still viable and it's considerably faster than walking in this state but...

But she was also a very contradictory personality. Looking around, it was clear everyone else was still struggling by forcing themselves to move without a clear-cut plan to actually accomplish it. If someone can't learn to help themself, it is better off for them to die there. Yet at the same time, Miyuki herself couldn't help but try to help them.

The grey-haired woman simply grit her teeth and swore to herself. Rather than continuing to launch herself towards the cave entrance, she was using what muscle control sheer force of will could muster to fiddle with a metal box she had now pulled out of her jacket to apparently insert something into it while the rocks continued to descend towards them.

She shook her head one more time as she thrusted her hand upwards, the metal 'box' firmly clasped in her fingers and a single digit pushing a button on the device.

[TURN UP]

And with that, the device projected a transluscent blue screen several feet above them, knocking away a boulder as deployed into position. The screen wasn't actually meant to act as a barrier, but it served handily as one when the need arose.

"Hurry up and get in, launch yourself rather than crawl!" she exclaimed angrily at everyone else.

She wasn't really sure who the anger was directed at, the others for being slow, or herself for actually stopping to help, remaining steadfastly in place to keep the screen there so everyone else wouldn't have to deal with the rocks.

It was hard to move, let alone keep standing up...whatever Yun did, he completely messed Kouta up on the inside. To make matters worse, the ground started shaking and cracking beneath his feet while boulders began tumbling down onto the various people who had gathered, threatening to crush them all if they didn't do anything about it...

And so, an era begins from zero on this mountaintop...legends need to be repainted. It was the time to free the accelerator! Since Kouta couldn't walk properly, he had to rely on something else...his instinct. Kouta had definitely been through worse situations, and it always seemed to guide him to survival, even if it was the most reckless options at times. As with Miyuki, Kouta seemed to shift his body weight and launched himself into ACTION DIVES to get around quicker. He wasn't going to die, he'd simply do what he could because he was...

Kouta! A blazing resurrection from his near broken state days ago! Kuuga! A proud energy! He was doing this to become stronger! No fear! No pain! As long as he stands for his beliefs, there is nothing to be feared! Even if he has to stand alone, he would transcend!

"...you know, for a horrible person you can sure be pretty helpful." Kouta couldn't help but quip at Miyuki in between his dives as his gray haired babysitter used her henshin device as an impromptu shield.

Dare was unsure why his body suddenly fell to one knee, or how he had even got involved in this mess in the first place. More to the point, what was he going to do now that he was rendered unable to defend himself in this situation? Yet, he already knew the answer as soon as the question appeared in his mind. He would live. His body groaning somewhat from the effort, he looked toward the boulder, calculating his chances of destroying it versus it killing the others.

He could probably destroy the boulders with his gun, but he couldn't chance the boulder breaking and hurting one of the others in their weakened states. If he could heft the heavy gun at all, that is. Pushing himself upward, the nanotech in his body began reinforcing the area around his legs, like thousands of constructors building support beams for a building, his knees would not bend but the stood straight enough. Clenching his teeth, Dare stood, feeling his legs tremble from the strain as
he moved toward the side of the cliff. He felt weak, yes, but no matter how weak he felt, he knew for a fact that his body was far stronger.

Feeling weak, and having a weak body, were two different things and it was time to put it to the test. Edging toward the cliff, Dare groaned momentarily as he looked down, "This isn't what I had in mind when I came here." He mumbled, before taking a step back and jumping over the cliff. His body flipped in mid air before it hit the steep sides of the cliff, and began to roll uncontrollably. As his body hit a rock embedded on the side of the cliff, he flew upward once more as his body hit various bush and limbs.

His arms protecting both sides of his face, Dare felt another rock hit him directly in the ribs as he was sent sailing through the air one last time and into a tree on the edge of the mount. Hitting it with immense force, the tree cracked in two as Dare reached up and grabbed at the roots, his other hand seeking a grip on the steep cliff, the roots beginning to loosen due to Dare's weight. "Oh hell..." he mumbled, as the roots continued to loosen.

The screen did its job just fine, buying Miyuki a couple of seconds to act while the road to the cave was completely blocked by the incoming avalanche.

As Mon foolishly tried to punch the rock, which was actually one of the smallest, he was pushed to the side miraculously instead of being smashed. Kouta however kept his cool and did his best to dodge the rocks, which missed him by a fraction of an inch every time. Chizu on the other hand, had used the wind to avoid the initial hit while Dare had opted to rely on his abnormal endurance and chose the lesser of two evils. It seemed they all knew how to think on their feet and be resourceful... and so Yun, pleased, decided it was time for the real thing.

The ground shook even harder... then parted. Rocks and students together were all literally swallowed by the earth below as the immediate surroundings yielded and slid down in what looked from afar as a river of gravel and dust.

From above came Yun's voice, strangely amplified perhaps by the acoustics of the cave.

"It is of course one's first reaction to try and move away when in the face of imminent danger! But your bodies are useless and you can't really dodge or fight the thousands of tons of solid rock that are about to bury you, which means you're all about to die!"

As they slid down they could see hundreds of trees coming towards them at alarming speed, sure to catch them, breaking a few bones before the rocks caught up and simply squashed their bodies dead.

If any of them looked around they would probably be surprised to see Yun actually falling as well, next to them... only he wasn't falling. He seemed to be sitting atop a large boulder, his legs crossed. His right hand was holding on to a rope of sorts which was actually attached to the rock... he was riding the rock as if it was a horse and the rock was... floating?

"Your enemy is not the rocks, or the trees, or the hundreds of feet of free fall should you live enough to reach the end of the road and fall off the giant cliff. Your enemy is the limitation set by your own logical minds which stop you from believing anything's possible! Break that wall in the next umm... two-and-a-half seconds and you will live!"

This was the crash course of all crash courses. He wouldn't say so, as the man was always very positive and optimistic, but he doubted the kids would make it this time. Maybe he had pushed them a bit too far? Still, Yun kept his fingers crossed. He had chosen Shambala for a reason, it was a land made of pure magic, it existed because of magic itself and in it many things which seemed impossible otherwise could be done much more easily. If their minds were strong enough, in the most desperate of times, the brink of death... they would be able to break free from his power and their own logical limitations.

All he could do now was hope for the best.

Sorry for the late arrival guys, but Eiji would have kicked my ass if Nickle didn't join. XD

Nickle had felt it coming a long ways off. Something inside of him was detecting an aura of great magnitude he had not sensed in a long time. Nickle had arrived in Shambala only hours before. This feeing inside him reminded him so much of when Master Aeo had been teaching him how to meditate and control his inner power, so much so that his own body would morph to represent it.

Nickle had been making his way up the mountain top, feeling the power emanating from the top. In a disjointed mulitverse, it was probably wise to investigate such powers, for it could lead to answers. Nickle had walked the first few steps, before summoning his wings and flying up the remainder of the way, the inside of his skull pounding slightly as he neared the top. He began to hear a voice speaking loudly, the sound carrying down towards him. He reached the top of the peak at the very moment after Yun’s speech, landing on the platform in front of the cave and hearing Yun’s words of allowing entrance. Before he knew it, his body was felt a large shock running through it like nothing he had felt before.

It felt like his muscles were being burnt from the inside by an invisible fire. Despite even Nickle’s physique, he felt as if he was going to be sick from the pain he was experiencing. As Nickle watched Yun disappear, he knew that he was what was the cause of the tremendous energy. Without time to take into account that amongst those present was Chizu, Nickle began to force his body to move forward towards the cave as the rocks shook all around.

However the boulders and mountain just weren't going to let Nickle have a moment's peace since having set foot on the mountain top. The ground beneath Nickle dissappeared and before he knew it he was falling and falling hard. His body was unmotioning, his powers appeared to be blocked by the previous strike. Nickle was flailing, only his body wouldn't respond.

It was then that master Yun spoke again. Nickle looked at him wild-eyed as he sat upon his boulder. How is it that within seconds so much had happened. He had never been caught this flat-footed before. However, what he said did cause him to slow down for a second. Master Aeo and the other Rei monks had said something similiar. Nickle was too frantic to recall it right now, but he did know this. This was seemingly a test of mind over matter and if that was the case...

Nickle closed his eyes. He began to clench his fists and toes, forcing his muscles to tighten in agonising pain. The only thing Nickle could think of why his body was in so much pain due to somehow his blood flow had been hindered. By forcing more blood to his muslces, he may have been able to react somehow, perhaps even enough to create a barrier that could save him. He just prayed he wasn't misjudging this situation or else he'd slammed, flattened and crushed.

Look at his little dance
Mon looked at the other boulders which seemed much larger than the one he'd hit. Maybe he was getting disoriented. Impossible...? his mind thought something was impossible. That didn't seem right. He'd never thought anything was impossible.

He was a fool. He was the kind of person who would fight something invincible. There was no way he would fall... Don't fight the world around me... He just had to push his way through. He started to stride forward. He wouldn't fall aside from something like that. He still felt his body fighting against him.

Then he hear Yun again and turned slightly to see him on the rock... He couldn't do that. He was sure he couldn't. Was he supposed to? He didn't think so. He wasn't going to. He couldn't. He just said to get over what out minds told us...

"LIKE I'M GONNA LET THAT STAND IN MY WAY!" He was yelling. It didn't even make sense. There was no real reason to be yelling but he had to push himself for all he was worth and if he had to yell to ignore his body then he damn well would. He wasn't one for introspection and he wasn't going to fight outside so he would just ignore everything. What was going on in him, and what was going on around him.

"AND I'M NOT GOING TO LISTEN TO ANY OF THAT!" He was even going to ignore his slightly 'logical mind.' He could damn well ride a boulder. Why not? He could fight a dragon so he could ride a boulder. His body struggled forward with everything it had while he assumed it would just keep up with him.

He wasn't really sure how you rode a boulder. It was probably like riding a giant wolf... You never rode a gi- He cut off his thoughts. That analogy barely even made sense. Why would it matter if he had experience in the other. He jumped onto the boulder. His body kept up. This suddenly seemed like a terrible idea as he started to roll back on top of the boulder.
